Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Let us contemplate some wisdom from a media ethics expert quoted by The New York Times this week:

"To most journalists, the notion of anonymous reporters relying on anonymous sources is a red flag. 'If you want to talk about a business model that is designed to manufacture mischief in large volume, that would be it,' said Ralph Whitehead Jr., a professor of journalism at the University of Massachusetts."

No, he wasn't talking about the Associated Press' (and the Washington Post's and the Los Angeles Times' and the New York Times') anonymous stringers relying on unnamed and unreliable sources reporting (or rather, rumor-mongering) on the war in Iraq.

No, he wasn't talking about the anonymous reporter identified only as "an Iraqi employee of The New York Times from Najaf" in three stories just this week, which quoted various unnamed Iraqi clerics, residents and officials.

No, Professor Whitehead was talking about the swiftly and widely discredited InsightMag.com story about Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., attending a madrassa as a child. Fox News Channel (for which I am a contributor -- see, transparency's not so hard) took a pounding for picking up the inaccurate story. The liberal media pile-on continues despite the network's immediate acknowledgement of error in repeating the false charges and despite the fact that Fox didn't originate the story.

Unlike, say, CBS News, Dan Rather and the faked National Guard memos.

Meanwhile, CBS News has another potential controversy on its hands involving unnamed sources that Professor Whitehead and The New York Times won't get around to flogging.

On the left-wing MediaChannel.org website, supporters of CBS chief foreign correspondent Lara Logan published a mass e-mail she had sent out asking for "help." She had filed a report on recent Iraqi and U.S. troop action along Baghdad's Haifa Street, but complained that it "only appeared on our CBS website and was not aired on CBS. It is a story that is largely being ignored." The report featured a masked "Haifa Street resident" who "blamed the fighting on the U.S." A CBS spokesman told BroadcastingCable.com that the story, which included footage of sprawled corpses of men in Iraqi Army uniforms, had been deemed "too graphic for an evening news audience."

This didn't mollify the correspondent-turned-activist, who asked her friends to send CBS a message that her piece wasn't "too gruesome to air, but rather too important to ignore." Logan has done much good work on the ground in Iraq, but her extra-curricular lobbying was a bit much even for some of her colleagues. "I think anything that happens internally should stay internal," the network's spokesman told BroadcastingCable.com.

What does deserve external airing, however, are Logan's glaring omissions from her online piece. Nibras Kazimi, a Hudson Institute scholar and blogger at Talisman Gate (talismangate.blogspot.com), took a close look at Logan's Jan. 18 report and recognized the grainy corpse footage "obtained by CBS." He says it matched an eight-minute video published online Jan. 7 by an al Qaeda propaganda arm under the title "Some of the Casualties of the Heretics in Haifa Street After Sunday's Fighting, January 7, 2007, in Baghdad." Indeed, many of the video images are identical.

At the time, Kazimi notes, "the Iraqi military claimed that some of its soldiers were cornered on Haifa Street and killed after running out of ammunition. This incident set off the subsequent battles there. Al-Qaeda also released written statements at the time taking credit for the initial phase of fighting. . . . The footage 'obtained by CBS' is identical to that put out by Al-Qaeda. But Logan makes no mention of Al-Qaeda's video and does not address the implication that the footage she used was off an Al-Qaeda video. And if it's not off the Al-Qaeda video, then how did she get footage identical to the one used by Al-Qaeda? This needs to be explained."

But "the most damning indication of journalistic incompetence," Kazimi blogs, is that "Logan makes no mention about the affiliation of these insurgents fighting on Haifa Street. Not even the slightest mention is made that al Qaeda is taking credit for the fighting there. On the contrary, the audience is treated to a blanket accusation by an anonymous civilian (wearing a headdress in the insurgent manner) denouncing the Americans and the destruction they've brought to bear on Haifa Street."

Was Logan a willing tool or an ignorant fool? Either way, the story is -- as she says herself -- "too important to ignore."

Let's not dismiss this so quickly
Between the viewpoints of the MSM and Insight you will probably find the truth. Obama probably did not attend an actual Madrassa, but depending on your definition of the word IS, he probably attended a so called "government school" in Indonesia that would have been very favorable to the teachings of radical Islam.

Tom:
The last thing the Indonesian government wanted during the late 60s and early 70s was a radicalized Islamic society. Therefore it is actually highly unlikely that Obama would have been exposed to radical Islam during the short time he was in the country.

Fox news getting
blasted is a given. Since it's a "conservative" news channel, any mistake they make is going to be blown all out of proportion.

This Logan sounds like a "willing tool" to me. If she got the shots that were from an Al Qaeda tape, then that says it all. There's no innocence here.
These people who slant the news make me sick. Such deceitful people once again trying to slant things to destroy the war effort.

The Reason Why
Conservative news outlets, which place a high value on personal ethics, are blasted when a slip-up occurs, even after the appropriate mea culpa and high-visibility repudiation takes place, because the liberal news outlets hold them to their high standards.

Liberal news outlets do not blast each other for false reports and false images because there are no ethics or standards claimed and subsequently applied. Hence no breach and no need to apologize. In fact, they have license to defend the falisity they report, regardless of the provocation of lawlessness and war, because their ethical standards are nonexistent.

Their only standard is that it gets attention and makes a buck. (Talk about an attention wh*re! And a prostitute at that!)

This also explains the tripe that passes for MSM "news".

What worries me the most is the
obvious cooperation among the Leftist elite to discredit the conservatives. It is as if they have a playbook and they are all acting according to that which is written there.

How they communicate I don't know, but their lies and talking points spread faster than orders through an army.

They have workd hard in the last six years to regain their power, and now they seek to squash us altogether.

The only hope is that the American people are intelligent enough to wake up and smell the coffee before it is too late.

So in a sense, it is a good thing that the democrat party is rushing to shove through as much Leftist legislation as they possibly can.

Hopefully the American people will notice what they are up to and boot them out as they did when Carter and his cronies were destroying the country.

Journalist's Ethics
Reporters helping al Qaeda spread their particular brand of deceit, whether knowingly or not, will end up hurting us in Iraq and elsewhere. This deceit is allowed by, and some will even say encouraged by, the Koran.
How can Americans do this to Americans ? If intentional, it is despicable and treasonous. If unintentional, then they are too stupid to be allowed to leave their respective yards, let alone the country.

PriceyInTheOC
You said.. "Liberal news outlets do not blast each other for false reports" etc. And I believe that to be true. However the do blast their own if one of it's members steps out of line.

It was all over the news this evening that the NYT publicly chastised one of it's reporters for writing a positive article about Iraq. Evidently in the article he mentioned that "We must win in Iraq!" The NYrag editors were all over him and insisted he publicly state that he made a mistake and apologize. He did.

MSM bias
There is a decent case for liberal bias on the part of reporters and journalists (most of them voted for Clinton), but there's an equally strong case for conservative bias on the part of editors and owners.

For example, in the 2000 election, newspapers endorsed Bush by about 2 to 1 nationally. Of all daily newspapers, 48% went for Bush, and only 23% endorsed Gore. Of newspapers with circulation over 100,000 (arguably the most liberal), Bush won the bulk of endorsements by a ratio of five to four.

According to a study by the Project for Excellence in Journalism, in the last four weeks of the 2000 election (the most critical period), Bush was twice as likely as Gore to get positive coverage.

Tom
"he probably attended a so called "government school" in Indonesia that would have been very favorable to the teachings of radical Islam."

Didn't CNN send a correspondent to the actual school, and found children in Western style dress, and boys and girls playing together? I had no idea radical Islam was so progressive.

WAR ON TERROR!!
A friend of mind says there are people who foolishly say we are at the end of times ie... end of the world as we know it. Jesus about to come again and end it all. Rubbish!!! Not possible because if we are at the end times we are going to lose the war on terrorism. The USA is much too strong to actually lose. The USA isn't a player in the end times per Bible prophesy. Again not possible, the USA will unite against the bad guys.

Oxymoron
Journalistic ethics?

See BS
I disagree, Michelle. We should have ignored Lara and her ilk a long time ago. If we had ignored them in Vietnam, we would have won. We would have saved the lives of hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of people in southeast Asia. Ronald Reagan did ignore them and the result was the collapse of Soviet communism. They are still loathe to admit that they tried to prevent that from happening.

We owe nothing to the gang of liberal reporter - partisans spreading falsehood and DNC talking points under the guise of journalism. They are plunging into the abyss of obscurity. I see no reason to stop them.

Fifteen Minutes of Fame
Everyone in journalism today seems to have entered the field, not to chronicle history and make a record for the future while drawing the folks together in strength, but to scream LOOK AT ME! AIN'T I FABULOUS?

It's the Woodward and Bernstein demon that possesses them -- they want to be immortalized and have a movie made about them, and they are all fantasizing about who would play them and how they'll get to hobnob with the Hollyweirds and get invited to A List parties -- and just like the people who invest in Ponzi Schemes and spend the grocery money at the casino, they are willing to do anything except work hard and produce something of value in order to get to the top of the tree.

I remember, from the days when humour was more circumspect than it is today, Johnny Carson saying the two most destructive things you could do in a relationship were point and laugh. Perhaps it's time we try that with people like this group of dancing Divas aching for their Fifteen Minutes of Fame: make it fifteen minutes of pointing and laughing. That ought to last a lifetime.

Journalistic "Integrity"
Can we please stop pretending that Journalism is (or ever was) an "honorable" profession? Please? It seems every few months or so that a story comes out where an "honorable" journalist does something where they are writing a totally fraudulent story, basing a story on obviously fraudulent evidence, or ommitting some important fact that changes the entire demeanor of the story (so a story that should be pro-American or show the Right in a good light, suddenly is not). (Example, in case I wasn't clear: American troops fight terrorists in Iraq, kill dozens of bad guys, capture the leader, and get a cache of weapons and intel while losing 5 soldiers in the skirmish. Headline the next day: "5 US soldiers killed in bloody day in Iraq.") If Fox news made a mistake or published a bad story, fine. They should take the hit for that. Fox was also the network that was going to air the interview with OJ "If I Did It" Simpson. They aren't blameless in the whole dishonorableness of Journalism. But if they issued an apology and acknowledged that they did something wrong and the story was bogus, that still puts them a peg better than C...BS who, if I'm not mistaken, STILL hasn't apologized to the President for willfully running a story based on evidence they had every reason to believe was fraudulent. As a matter of fact, I thought the last we heard about Memogate from them was that Dan Rather still stands by the "Correctness of the story despite the questionable nature of the evidence."

When I was in high school, my history teacher called "Yellow" Journalism and "Muckraking" a relic from the early 20th Century. She said it doesn't exist anymore. At this point, I would have to disagree. Sensationalist Journalism is alive and well and running 24x7.

Journalistic Viewpoint
CBS good, Fox bad. Enough said.

To Frey
The Project for Excellence in Journalism is an organization which is part of a liberal college. It is made up of liberal journalists. Do you seriously think that we will get an objective read on the state of bias from this organization? As to newspapers that supported GWB; none of the major newspapers that I saw supported him. That’s none, zero, as in I don’t believe your statistics.

To Critical Bill; you were asking for examples of news bias, well here you are. CBS airs (on internet) propaganda from al Qaeda in Iraq unhindered by anyone in the MSM. This is much like the “fake but accurate” Oct surprise that CBS did.

Denial of left bias
Leftist I've 'debated' with (if you can call 'conservative point vs. obscenity, conservative point vs. obscenity' a debate), most of them viscerally and profanely oppose the notion of media left-bias.

However, the practices of ignoring certain stories and running mis-leading headlines, front-loaded polls and outright and unapologetic lies, are so prevalent that it's hard to rationalize, hence the profanity and unwillingness for thoughtful debate.

The fact that they will put up with, and even defend, such obvious lies that sometimes reach the point of actual treason, speaks volumes about liberals.

Of course liberals cannot see bias
They staunchly believe that liberalism IS the mainstream. Everything to the center or right is viewed by them as radical.

acceptreality- I don't know whether
the Leftie MSM actually believes that they are mainstream, or whether they are participating in a campaign to make it seem that way.

I think Leftists like to feel "edgy" or "fringy." This is why, after they have dragged society, kicking and screaming, to the left, they move even further left in their positions.

I have observed this happen in individuals that I know here on the Left Coast, as well as in the Left as a whole.

This is why the Leftist obsessions seem nuttier and nuttier as time goes by. Things we thought to be absurd only a few years ago are being seriously debated by the social engineers.

Meanwhile, most conservatives are content to move to the suburbs, work hard at their jobs, help their kids with their homework, then go to bed and fall asleep to Jay Leno's monologue.

I can only be grateful that Leno has recently taken such a politically leftward turn. Perhaps this will wake up some of the complacent middle of the road conservatives that the country they thought they knew is being stolen out from under them.

Frey's statistics
Statistics from journalists are the same as the stats from the DNC.How is it POSSIBLE for conservative journalists to survive the tripe taught in present day journalism schools? My hat is off to Michelle and Laura and Ann and Phyllis et al,for standing uo and reporting news that is really news instead of opinion. Most journalists rate right up there with Larry Flint and his ilk.

Michelle writes....
..."Was Logan a willing tool or an ignorant fool?"
Well, the obvious answer to this question is -- BOTH!!!

The more important questions evolve from the FOX News story about Obama's schooling. Where did they pick up the story? I heard (or read) that it was a (denied) release from Hillary's campaign group. We need to find the origin of the story without doubt (or, said differently, with positive proof) because, if it did come from Hillary it shows just how intolerant (is intolerance possible from an extreme liberal) SHE IS. Rightly pursued this could be an huge weapon against her (once again if true).

Journalists
are third in the liar line. Right behind Lawyers which have their nose touching POLITICIANS arses! Once an editor decides how a story is covered, it is by default biased. Any story with an angle is biased. We are not in a court of law, reporters are biased unless they prove otherwise. I have not seen one yet.

I love the little suck-fests these "journalists" have complementing each other, what a joke. If I had shown the lack of character and integrity of say...a David Gregory, or Dan, or Katie, on my job or at my job I do not think I could sleep at night.

It is one thing to say we, or they ALL do it (cop out), but it is almost impossible to lie to oneself.

I wonder if Dan or Walter would answer some questions of this nature honestly. They would have to acknowledge the subjectivity of their profession, and by default again...expose journalism for what it is, a cynical and dishonest profession with leaders that always have an angle.

Life is a racket, go figure.

Speaking of Walter
When I was growing up, every Sunday night our family watched a show called The Twenieth Century about WWII. It was narrated by Walter Cronkite, and we little ones thought his voice sounded like the voice of God. Then we got a little older and watched the news and heard him say "And that's the way it is...." When I got a lot older and found out that he is responsible for deciding that we lost Tet when in realilty we won there. Now that I'm still older and I hear him and his liberal tripe, well let's just say that it shakes your faith in your own judgment when you find out that someone you thought you knew was a complete fraud all the time. I never liked Dan Blather and I was glad to see him go down in flames. His "I still stand by the story" nonsense is lame and kind of pitiable. I wonder how he feels knowing that that is how he will be remembered in journalistic history. Followed by Katie Couric. What a joke. And liberals wonder why we don't take them seriously. Because they don't take their craft seriously. Goebbels is smiling in whichever corner of hell he is roasting in. So is Lenin.

To Rand"y
I remember that show. I used to like it. I wonder why they don't have reruns of it in syndication? You recon' it was because it was pro-US and you needed intelligence to understand it?

Kimbat
"Seems to me, Michelle and minions, that if you wish to latch on to the travesty in shoddy reporting, you need only look as far as the rightwing noise machine."

Where are your sources? Name them.

Peppermint
Nice flame job on Kimberloon.

Thought I saw a flaming moonbat fly by my window!

To Kimberly
me thinks thou celebratest too quickly. AP has yet to produce this so-called source AND everything this so-called source said has turned out to be false. In addition, AP has changed its own story 3 times, going so far as to go back and change their writeup without posting a retraction or a change notice.

Whenever Kimberly...
... posts something like the above rant, just picture "Tokyo Rose" broadcasting such things.

That is why Kimbat is now known as "Tehran Kim", a propagandist reminiscent of the "good, old days" of WWII.

Primus54
Tehran Kim is just working herself up for Ann's column tomorrow.

Ann told me a few weeks ago at our local VRWC BBQ (we slow-roasted a fat liberal) that she loves reading Tehran Kim's spewed pablum and writes her columns JUST FOR Tehran Kim!

Kimbat
will be out in full force tomorrow with Ann's column using her same, trite tactic of debating Ann's article by calling her a b*tch.

Questions for Drive-By Kim
(I'm not expecting an answer, but how the questions are rhetorical anyway.)

1. Why do you jump on Ms. Malkin's case about the Obama madrassa story? Did you not read the article and see that Malkin herself calls that story inaccurate and says FoxNews should not have run it?

2. How are/were your reading comprehension grades in school?

3. It seems that you and Malkin agree on something. How are you handling that little revelation?

4. Why did you call Ms. Malkin a "shih tzu lapdog"? The use of that particular breed is particularly interesting given that the shih tzu is a Chinese breed and that Malkin is Asian.

5. By calling Malkin a "shih tzu lapdog", did you mean to suggest that because she is Asian she is incapable of forming an intelligent opinion on her own, or possibly that she is sub-human?

6. If a conservative were to commit such a faux pas standard procedure on the left would be to openly wonder if that person had white sheets in their closet. May we now openly wonder that about you?

Peppermint
Or Tehran Kim's fall back position...

"Man" Coulter.

What a brutal debater she is.

AudiR10 & Kim
AudiR10, I absolutely agree with you. I believe that's why Obama Hussien was created as the walking miracle of our times by the MSM. What liberal reporter would not want to be riding on the magic carpet of a part black, part white, part muslim President. In their small minds, they made this man who he is...and they did. The leftists are lapping it up like blind kittens next to a bowl of spoiled creme.
And so, the MSM will be immortalized, going down in history as being the 1st ones of their time to witness this "break through" of our times. Kids of future generations will be reading and writing about Obama Hussien, and the reporter's names will still live on....they hope.

Kim---Your tone reminds me of a child in a perpetual state of hunger, tiredness and wetness. Please, it's time for your nap.

Obama
Frankly I don't care where he went to school. He was raised in a household with 2 fathers that were both raised as Muslims , his Mother is an atheist, and he professes to be Christian. Additionally, he went to Law school at Harvard where he was taught by the Radical Communist Left. If there is anything we do not need as a President, it is someone raised as a conflicted minority.

To Fletch
Lets send her to New York to be a speech writer for Shrillary.

GunnyG and P2
Good points on Tehran Kim.
It looks like she left her droppings for the day and won't be back until tomorrow.
P2, Good point about Kim using a racial slur. That's how I took it too. She's reaching further into the scum bucket than usual today.

Warrior
YEOW!

The nearest Obama needs to get to the Oval Office is on a tour group!

Definition of a Conservative News Outlet
...One in which a conservative gets to express an opinion.

This is absolutely true. Consider Buckley's "Firing Line" for example. Everyone says it was conservative, yet a full 50% of the time was so liberals could express their opinions.

The Press
The press has long ago lost it's reputation for integrity. Don't these people know that under the terrorists they would be the first people executed???

One More Indictment
I will quote from 2 sources: My words first-Professor Ogletree is totally Afrocentric to the exclusion of all other races. His entire career has focused on his view Afro-Americans should be taken care of in our society because slavery is still impacting their lives. He was the Lawyer representing Anita Hill against Supreme Court Justice Thomas. Ultra-Liberal Progressive with Communist leanings. Anti-Conservative Judicial Activist.
First Quote
"Charles J. Ogletree Jr., another Harvard law professor and a mentor of Mr. Obama"
Second Quote
"Professor Ogletree also serves as the Co-Chair of the Reparations Coordinating Committee, a group of lawyers and other experts researching a lawsuit based upon a claim of reparations for descendants of African slaves, along with Randall Robinson, co-author of The Debt: What America Owes to Blacks."

Obama has rubbed elbows with people I would not have lunch with, if they offered to pay.

Do you think

Do you think Lara Logan goes to Jamal Hussien for her photos and police reports?

Or does she retain the Reuters stringer from the Hezbolah-Israel battles in Lebanon? I'm sure he could manufacture , I mean shoot, some really PhotoShop fresh illustrations for her next article.

Warrior
If you do have lunch with them, be sure you pick the place, take your lawyer along, and make them sign first, in front of witnesses.

Otherwise, you'll be paying them back for your lunch, their lunch, and the lunch of everyone else that went to the restaurant that week.

Also, I keep hearing the the Fox/Insight story on Osamaba's school is false, because CNN sent a reporter who said that it was not a Muslim school TODAY. I wouldn't even recognize my elementary school from 25 years ago. I haven't heard anyone say that it was not a muslim school when Osamaba went there.
Am I wrong?

Kim, honey
You'll lose on this one. How many times has the MSM and CNN lied DELIBERATELY (yes, that's a redundancy) about various stories.

Remember the story about the US troops using nerve gas in Vietnam? A lie.

The Rathergate memos? A lie.

The planting of explosives in a pickup truck to "prove" they blew up when struck by another vehicle? A lie.

Honest mistakes and deliberate lies are two different things.

Kimberly doesn't bother me...
...the fact that there might be people somewhere that could read her stuff and think to themselves "yeah, i agree with that..." ????

as a father, yep - that scares the heck out of me. that said, i'm thankful for the role she plays - instructive example, cautionary tale. Face it folks, we ALL need a Kimberly in our lives as a constant reminder. Thank you Kimberly. You deliver a rare level of personal clarity for me and I've never even met you. You are priceless dear.

Come on I dare ya!
Look up Malkinwatch in google and take a look at some of the analysis of her distortions of the truth and creative revisionism on hotair.

I'm not going to try to convince anyone but ask that if you really see yourself as objective do the google search. While you are at it you may want to take a look at her hotair site and ask yourself if some of the Nuke Mecca and Kill em if they are illegal posters are really part of the conservative group you are in.

LD
Where are you, o cynical sage, when we need you?

We need your spin.

What does it all mean?

Bayou
Are you serious? The "malkinwatch" website I found has at the top of the page a poorly-drawn cartoon of what I'll have to assume is Mrs. Malkin wearing a swastika. Nothing on that site seems to even pretend to engage in an intelligent critique of any of Malkin's work. At best, it's a place for fellow Malkin-haters to toss around epithets.

What, exactly, about that website do you find to be convincing?

Bones
Is the picture as far as you made it? Try reading some of their analysis.

Fletch I am a little curious how you could really give the site a good look in the span of 69 minutes. Maybe you see only what you want to see.

I note that neither of you is commenting at all about hotair.

Bayou

Recently Malkin went to Iraq. She unlike others went outside the Green Zone. The negative bloggers were naysaying , but the locations and photos proved she went.

The comments on the site are one sided with pretend conversations and the cartoon is in the same catagory as protraying Dr Rice as a Parrot with big lips.

You done let the swamp rot your brains.

There's an old saying
from the CIA that goes, "If you look for something hard enough, you'll find it (whether it's actually there or not)."

Too subtle? If you look at the media and assume you'll find liberal bia, guess what? You'll probably find liberal bias. You'll see something that could be explained by liberal bias, and figure it must be liberal bias. You'll see something that could be explained by conservative bias, and figure that it couldn't possibly be that, it must be something else, like the liberal bias conspiracy. I hope y'all will forgive me if I'm not convinced.

Hockeygoon
From 10:26 AM
Source? (of my assertions about more newspapers supporting Bush than Gore)

www,dailyhowler.com and the book What Liberal Media? by Eric Alterman. Of course, you'll probably accuse those of liberal bias, too. (Although I don't entirely disagree)

But it's an easily checkable fact. How many papers endorsed each candidate? How much circulation did each one have at the time? Has anyone done a similar study that came out differently?

Question
If the media is so liberally biased, why did they rip Clinton to shreds before and during the impeachment trial?

& Ernie Piles' corpse reaches 10,000 rpm
I've often remarked that we could remedy the need for foriegn sources of energy if we could just fit our forefathers spinning corpses with drive belts attached to gigantic turbines during open sessions of congress.

Just when you thought I was silly, along comes another set of potential generators: Dead and buried journalists who were actual patriots.

Awesome,Fletch...
Why, just yesterday and the day before, I asked her why she never answers any posed questions and said how sh is not helping me improve my vocabulary with her limited vocab...I also noted in her reply that she couldn't help herself and used that B word again. Do b's make you itch?

Also, I don't think I post anything that is not factual, do you? And, when I make a mistake, I admit it...

Fletch/Nee
She has always avoided my invitations to visit my blog and debate her.

I guess being unarmed in a battle of wits knocks her right out of the fight at the very beginning.

Fletch
"The major media's take throughout the whole affair was that it was a non-story about a sexual indiscretion rather than perjury."

Really? The New York Times(!) spoke of "the grand malignancy of Mr. Clinton's folly and miscalculations." (Sept. 24, 1998) and said that Clinton's defensive tactics had "seriously distended the legal system."

Fletch: Could you post sources for
"the overwhelming research indicating that the media is liberally biased" please?

The unnamed source was Hillary
Well probably anyway. Obama is the greates threat to Hillary going right now.

Great books on MSM liberal bias
Bernard Goldberg has some excellent books on liberal bias in the media. They're listed on his website. Available at your library. I read "Bias" and "Arrogance" and they're stunning. He worked for CBS for 28 years and his books include many stories of CBS and other news organizations' blatant and sometimes laughable bias.

Also his book "110 People Who Are Screwing Up America" is a great, sometimes funny, sometimes anger-provoking read.
