Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Welcome to the marquee performance of "Qana: The Fraud and the Furious," brought to you by the Acting Guild of the Religion of Perpetual Outrage.

The drama unfolded over the weekend with mob scenes across the Muslim world, ostensibly -- ostensibly -- in response to civilian deaths in Qana, Lebanon. Angry Muslims from Beirut to Gaza to Lahore set fire to American and Israeli flags. They burned effigies of Western leaders. They raised their voices in chants of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel."

The nervous nellies sitting in the world's balcony seats exclaimed that the tragedy in Qana will make the Muslims hate us more. But if the uproar over the accident in Qana -- an Israeli exception to the Hezbollah rule -- sounds like a tired old re-run to you, well, it is.

This ongoing production utilizes the same talented field of Jew-haters and West-haters and flag-burners and machete-wielders who brought you worldwide months of manufactured rage over the Mohammed cartoons, crazed riots in Nigeria over the Miss World pageant, sharia-approved murders in Somalia of World Cup soccer fans, the fictional Jenin "massacre," the fable of Mohammed al-Dura, and ululating protests over the corrupting influences of "The Satanic Verses," Theo van Gogh, Kentucky Fried Chicken and McDonald's, the sacrilegious Burger King ice-cream swirl, Valentine's Day and Piglet from "Winnie the Pooh."

The truth about Muslim outrage over Qana is that it's not really about the tragic deaths at Qana -- just like the Mohammed cartoon jihad was not really about the cartoons. It's a pretext for much grander goals to defeat the infidels -- be they Israeli, Danish, Dutch or American.

Remember: Muslim riots over the Mohammed cartoons printed by the Danish Jyllands-Posten newspaper last fall were manufactured amid attempts to bully Denmark over the International Atomic Energy Agency's decision to report Iran to the UN Security Council for continuing with its nuclear research program. Iran blamed Israel for the cartoons in a speech marking the 27th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

Now, the Qana jihad, gleefully stoked by Iran, is unfolding amid mounting UN Security Council pressure on Tehran to suspend its nuclear program. What better way to distract from Hezbollah's atrocities and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's annihilate-the-Jews plans than to start screaming about Israel's "war crimes" and Western crimes against humanity?

As we watch Hezbollah's horrible parade of dead children in Qana replay endlessly on television, here is a suggestion for all the intrepid American journalists gallivanting with Hezbollah's handlers in the region: Perhaps you could put down the figurative hookah pipes, take off your sympathy hajibs and find out the identity of the green-helmeted guy holding up baby corpses in Qana as props for your sensational, page-one pictures.

Is he just an ordinary bystander? A rescuer who just happened to be in the same place 10 years ago, traipsing around with dead children's bodies to exploit an accidental Israeli bombing prompted by terrorists hiding behind civilians?

A civilian volunteer or a propaganda producer?

To his credit, MSNBC reporter Richard Engel picked up on a question the blogosphere has been asking since the toddler corpse-paraders in Qana took center stage: Where were all the men? His reporting underscores Hezbollah's evil m.o. -- embedding themselves in civilian populations to force exactly the kind of tragic error from Israel that appears to have occurred at Qana. "[W]e went house to house in trying to figure out where all the young men were. It seems that some of them were fighters, some of them were Hezbollah members that were out -- this according to Hezbollah people who didn't want to be interviewed but we convinced them to talk to us."

To the photographer-stenographers who were herded to the scene eight hours after the strike, why is it that the bodies of the children were already in a state of rigor mortis? How to explain the sparkling clean pacifier clipped onto a dust-covered toddler carried around by the friendly corpse-parader? And why were the women and children kept in the building for so long? Questions abound. Answers are as scarce as men in that Qana building.

"All the world's a stage," Shakespeare wrote. The journalists of our age have chosen their costumes: court jesters in the Theater of Jihad.

Qana production
Thanks for another incisive and clear unveiling of yet another media con job. These guys remind me of Charlie Brown and Lucy's football. No matter how many times the jihadis fool them, taking away the football at the last minute, the so-called crack reporters never learn from prior experiences and fall for these guys' tricks time and time again. The jihadis have to be laughing like crazy at how easy it is to snooker these folks.

Thanks goodness for the blogs and true investigators such as yourself, Michelle. It's the only way the truth will ever get out because the "professional" journalists never heard of the concept of checking and verifying. And don't even think about asking questions.

AND SOME OF THESE MEN
fed faulty intellgence to the Israeli's about the whereabouts of suspected Hezbollah fighters knowing full well they were giving them coordinates for civilian neighborhoods. Another tried and proven tactic of these savages. A couple of weeks ago, Nic Robertson of CNN was given a choreographed "first look" at neighborhoods in Beirut which were involved in Israeli air strikes intended for Hezbollah positions and/or leaders.
Like Michelle points out above, you had wailing women screaming for Allah and groups of little children clinging to these same women's burkha's shivering with fear. To be expected. But alas, no young men. They were scoping out the next faulty intelligence opportunity to pass along.
As exemplified by Vo Nguyen Giap a generation ago, the press and the camera's carried by them or as big a cog in the wheel of military strategy as any soldier, or in this particular case, cutthroat terrorist.
Last night, Bill O'Reilly was questioning a former terrorist -whose name escapes me now- about the Muslim end game in the Middle East.
In one of the exchanges, O'Reilly asked this man,
"Would the Muslim people really incinerate their own people to accomplish this?" Back came the reply,"They already are."
How true.

Let's see--
Wasn't there one time when Palestinian Arabs were staging a funeral for a supposedly murdered (by Israelis) Arab man, and then a video camera caught the "dead" man getting up and walking away at the end?

Just Another Coincidence?
Michelle Malkin continually has the ability to hit the nail on the head, with the incisive, no-backdown language of Ann Coulter. It's too bad that the naysayers will probably accuse her of being a hater, like they did Ann, when she nailed the people who defended the wives of those killed in the WTC and have since turned rabid anti-Bush haters. Women like Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter are the best columnists on the Townhall website and never fail to state their opinions in language that leaves no room for liberal denial.

THERE IN NOTHING
like reading Michelle's GUT-PUNCHING the leftist swine other than reading the articles that my wife (I wish) Ann Coulter puts out.

At least Jayson Blair was CREATIVE and somewhat entertaining.

Beneath animals
Ms. Malkin: Even the animals we consider most brutal lack the capacity for this level of descent into depravity--to repeatedly pose and hold a once-living child in the eye of a camera over a period of hours as callously one would hold a political sign at a rally is truly an abomination.

But the reason it is not questioned by the correspondents is simple: Fear of reprisal, plain and simple.

The islamic answer to ANY form of on-site confrontation or questioning is simply to abduct or kill the questioner.

The True Culprits
Israel and the United States can bomb Hezbollah, Hamas, insert your favorite terrorist group here, to hell and back but nothing is ever going to change untill Iran and Syria are held accountable for their support for these animals. Without them, terrorist could not function. And untill the time comes when the government of Lebanon grows a pair, large enough to stand up and say "no more", there will never be peace in the middle east.

Congrats on the article Ms Malkin. I always enjoy reading your pieces. I just have one question which someone might be able to help me with. I have been looking for the direct quotes that Ahmadinejad made with reference to his plan "annihilate the jews". If anybody has any suggestions it would be much appreciated.

Spunge
Here you are.

Just one of a few.

BTW, Ahmadinejad was one of the terrorists that took over the US Embassy in Tehran in 1979.

Too bad Jimmy Carter forbid the Marines to open fire when they came over the gate, Admadinejad might have caught a slug and we wouldn't be dealing with this frigging nutjob now.

GunnyG
Your a gentleman and a scholar.

Thank You for your help.

Copperfox: The funeral
Actually, what happened was that during the funeral procession the litter carrying the corpse was jostled, and the corpse fell to the ground, then got up and hopped back onto the litter.

A true Kodak moment.

As Usual another Great Article Michelle
In my opinion if you are going to call youself a bona fide unbiased reporter, then you must report what you see and that is not what is happening even from my beloved Fox newscasters. For example when they are in Lebanon being escorted around by Hezbollah they should show the Hezbollah fighters wearing their civies and show their weapons such as rockets and rocket launchers in the civilian areas.

Now if they claim that they cannot do so because of their Hezbollah handlers, i.e. stage managers, then they should just get the hell out and show NOTHING!

If Hezbollah and Hamas were faced with getting Zero TV coverage of their so called plight and self induced misery, this war would (a) probably not have started in the first place or (b) end a hell of a lot quicker!

Act Three?
I like your theater analogy! Questions: Are we in for a prolonged intermission and will there EVER be a final curtain?

pics of the kids
There's a link on Rush Limbaugh's site to the pictures and the timeline of the pics.

Look at the link. It shows the same child photographed at different times.

What kind of person would use the body of a dead child for such purposes? How could anyone, ANYONE hold up a child like that for pr????

Makes me sick.

Where is the smart media?
Why do some posters assumer this is the doing of "liberal" media? Have you seen any different coverage from Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, or the Washington Times?
I have not. And by the way, aren't liberals supposed to be in a big conspiracy with Jews? You know, the liberal Jewish dominated Hollywood, the liberal Jewish controlled media. etc?
You folks must have a hard time keeping your conspiracies straight.

Reply to jsh
I'd like to just dismiss his/her/its comment, "And by the way, aren't liberals supposed to be in a big conspiracy with Jews? You know, the liberal Jewish dominated Hollywood, the liberal Jewish controlled media. etc? You folks must have a hard time keeping your conspiracies straight," with "Go over to MoveOn, DailyKos and Democratic Underground and read about the 'Neo-cons' Jewish dominated Bush Cabinet, the 'neo-cons' Jewish controlled new media of talk radio & the Internet"...

BUT... while that would be accurate, in all fairness, perhaps jsh has been reading Pat Buchanan.

For jsh
Though normally, I disagree with Liberals on most attempts at reasoning. I have to agree that I've seen very little difference in reporting from the various news programs, including Fox. It's sad, but news today seems to be driven by ratings which translates to money. And Sensationalism sells.

Michelle is right on with her assessment and I was going to respond with a comment. But I commented to William Buckley's column ( in a longer than normal for me) response. Which I think covers her column as well. If you care to read it.

There are no dead Arabs
I fully agree with all the article and comments above say - not a single innocent Palestinian has died, they bombed their own houses and all the dead children are dummies made of plastic to make us think that it is real people who are dying. The man holding the babies is actually the decendant of Goliath attempting to reclaim the blood spilt by that nasty Jew: David. It is time that we bomb Syria, Jordan, Iran, Iraq -the whole middle east out of existance and make it totally a Jewish/US state - oil prices would drop to next to nothing and all this theatre would cease. After all, it is the protection of oil that is the most important thing - not babies.

I love Michelle's columns- this one is even better than usual. I have one more question I haven't heard yet: All those men (of the target age group) demonstrating outside of the embassies...does anyone, at ALL, actually think that these guys are just angry "civilians"?

bodys
I was suprised to see how well those bodys held up to having a three story building fall on them. one might have expected them to look a litle flatter.

Jihad
Spending six months in Iraq and working side-by-side with the real people of Iraq. I know first-hand that these real people want peace, freedom, the right to practice THEY'RE choice of religion and the right of free speech.

We must reach the real people and gain their support if we are going to win this war.

We must win this war!

I just like
the word "ululating."

Late response to ChicagoSusanna
Regarding your Charlie Brown/Lucy analogy - close, but the suckers in the media, after falling on their posteriors, still don't realize they actually missed the football.

They pick themselves up, look downfield, and, when they fail to see the football, erroneously assume that they most have kicked it right out of the stadium.

Thus, the media consuming public gets the "benefit" of doctrines like "False, but accurate."
