Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

Talk about bad pennies always turning up; Jimmy Carter’s at it again.

It would be easy to blame the 83-year-old former one-term president’s frequent excursions into irrational behavior on senility were it not for the fact that he appears to have been senile most of his public life.

Any recitation of his frequent excursions into his personal Land of Oz where the good guys are bad and the bad guys are good sounds like a litany of Carter-esque fantasies. His onetime White House Chief of Staff, Hamilton Jordan, once spoke about what he called Carter’s “weirdness factor.”

If he hadn’t just happened to be the leader of the most powerful nation on the face of the earth and the sole bulwark against the expansion of Soviet tyranny, his weirdness wouldn’t matter in the scheme of things, but he was, and much of what he did -- and continues to do today --brought disastrous results for his nation and the world.

No one should be surprised at his recent hobnobbing with the terrorist leaders of Hamas. During his four years in the White House he showed a unique ability to reward the enemies of human freedom while punishing some of America’s strongest supporters.

Anyone shocked by Iran’s troublemaking, including training and arming the terrorists killing American troops in Iraq, can thank Brother Carter for conspiring to drive out the Shah, a fervent supporter of the United States, and seeing him replaced by the mullahs who repaid his kindness by taking nearly 70 Americans hostage and holding most of them for an astounding 444 days.

He withdrew U.S. support and the Shah was toppled, more than 20,000 pro-Western Iranians were killed, women were sent back into servitude and citizens were arrested merely for owning satellite dishes that could tune to Western programs. And, of course, American diplomats were taken hostage.

This is the same James Earl Carter whose feeble attempt to rescue the hostages turned into a deadly farce in the Iranian wastelands. The same Jimmy Carter whose presidency saw long lines at the gas pump, the same Jimmy Carter who gave away the Panama Canal thus enabling China’s Hutchison Whampoa to eventually control both ends of Theodore Roosevelt’s “big ditch.”

One of his legacies is one Robert Mugabe, the homicidal dictator of Zimbabwe now brutally suppressing his rivals who apparently won in an election to replace him. Under Mugabe the formerly prosperous Rhodesia now suffers famine, the white farmers whose abundant crops once fed the nation have been were killed or driven from their land, and so-called enemies of the regime butchered in waves of mass murder.

This is the Robert Mugabe who Jimmy Carter hosted at the White House in 1980, proclaiming that he had watched happily as Mugabe emerged victorious in his election campaign for the presidency. He pledged to use similar tactics in his own reelection campaign.

On his own, Carter went to North Korea and struck a deal on nuclear arms with dictator Kim Jung Il to which the Clinton administration acquiesced. North Korea then secretly violated the deal and went on to build the nuclear weapons that threaten world peace.

Since leaving the White House, Carter has embraced the likes of Fidel Castro and Venezuela’s communist dictator, the virulently anti-American Hugo Chavez, putting his stamp of approval on the rigged election that kept him in power.

Carter’s obvious antipathy toward Israel and his chumminess with Palestinian militants puts him squarely on the side of the Palestinian militants. In his book “Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid,” Carter claims Israel has been the principal obstacle to peace, charging that Arab leaders have long sought peace while Israel insists on keeping what he calls "Palestinian land" over achieving peace. He says that there would be peace if only Israel would "[withdraw] to the 1967 border as specified in the U.N. Resolution 242..."

Senile, or just incurably weird? It makes no difference. In any sense, James Earl Carter is an embarrassment to the United States and a danger to global stability.

About The Author
Michael Reagan, the eldest son of Ronald Reagan, is heard daily by over 5 million listeners via his nationally syndicated talk radio program, “The Michael Reagan Show.”
So Mr. Reagan
the question is what can and should be done about it? Does a current President or congress have the authority to censure, strip benefits from, revoke a visa for, or otherwise stop this man from single handedly undermining American foreign policy with his destructive actions overseas?

I do not know what the answer is, I don't know what authority exists.

Poor taste.
I'm sorry, but I simply do not feel that it is appropriate to joke aroung when discussing senility. Especially when talking about an 83 year old man. Seeing that Mr. Reagan's father suffered from Alzheimer's Disease, he should know better than to make light of age related mental conditions.

That's my 2 cents.

much more than senility
embracing terrorists that will result in more innocents' lives being ended is not a simple case of an old man being inprudent. it is dangerous. I am one American who chooses not to wish to fund trips like this (as is secret service support).

George Bush should be called to task as he has outwardly spoken to treating those who coddle terrorists the same as terrorists; why ahs he only "warned" or "frowned" at this person's actions?

Obama's supporters think Carter is cool
From what I've been reading on the lefty blogs, most of Obama's supporters think Carter is terrific for negotiating with HAMAS. They point out that HAMAS was elected in a free election (thanks to the Bush Administration's shortsightedness), and hence America can't ignore them without seeming hypocritical about promoting democracy in the Muslim world. There, they do have a point: As Bush defined "democracy" (winning a free and fair election peacefully), HAMAS qualifies. Damn him.

And they hope that, as President, Obama will lean on Israel to stop her "aggression" and "colonialism" and make peace. There, they don't know what they're talking about.

We need to inform the world about Carter
We need to publicize to the world what an incompetent leader Jimmy Carter was. He was barely won an election the democrats should have won in a landslide, then he destroyed our economy, our military, our foreign policy, and America sent him packing, as he lost the Electoral College 489 - 49!! Basically, HE WAS A MISTAKE!!! He does not deserve the status of a "distinguished statesman". He believes terrorists before he'll believe his own countrymen. He is pathetic.

Both Plus
Jimmy is senile AND weird. And evil. He's probably stupid as well even though he's supposed to be brilliant, according to urban legend.

P.S. Contrary to what Jimmy claimed, he was NOT a nuclear engineer. Wishful thinking. He spend time on a submarine.

SteveL
writes, "There, they do have a point: As Bush defined "democracy" (winning a free and fair election peacefully), HAMAS qualifies. Damn him."

It does point up the fact that if not all democracies are our friends then, perhaps not all dictators are our enemies. It would be ridiculous imo to use a form of government as a standard rather than basic human rights, stability, friendliness towards us and/or their neighbors, etc.

I am sure as soon as the democratically elected government of Hamas renounces violence and concedes Israel's right to exist, that Bush would gladly recognize and talk to them. I see nothing wrong with waiting until then. Until then, they are nothing more than terrorists who hold periodic elections to name the new warrior in chief.

PS
I see one huge benefit to having democratically elected terrorists. At least we know they have popular support. I will never forget the quote from the newly elected member of the Hamas parliament, a mother, who stated she had already lost all her sons to martyrdom and was praying to lose her last the same way. Just a peaceful average Palestinian mom wanting to coexist peacefully with her neighbors and raise her sons. Ya, right. Jimmy Carter needs his passport revoked permanently. Probably already lost his drivers license. That ought to be checked into.

Who's
joking about senility. It could be a kindness, it gives the old creep an excuse otherwise he's just your everyday run of the mill TRAITOR!

Alzheimers??? Senility???
Everyone is being too kind....alzheimers, senility? Carter has always been radical left = communist. He didn't have Alzheimers nor was senile when he was president. His life's mission appears to be to do as much damage to the US as he can. What do you think the "lefty blogs" are and why they support him? He isn't pathetic, he's evil, which makes him scary in my opinion.

The Logan Act (18 U.S.C.A. § 953 [1948])

is a single federal statute making it a crime for a citizen to confer with foreign governments against the interests of the United States. Specifically, it prohibits citizens from negotiating with other nations on behalf of the United States without authorization.

Sec. Rice... "US explicitly warned Carter not to meet with Hamas..." Carter went anyway!!!

It matters not if Carter is senile, he is an embarrassment to the US, and beyond that, a danger.

Butt writes: "Despite its on-the-record

denials the State Dept probably briefed him and will want to know what he was told."

Did you get that in a dream, or did you just make that up????

Apollo writes: "There can be no

diplomatic solution with a vicious crazed group of jihadist killers that view hatred and war against infidels as an absolute religious duty pleasing to God. Hamas is in a war to the death with Israel; they have chosen the path of self-destruction..."

This is NOT rocket science! Why the liberal lunatics find it so hard to understand is beyond all reasonable comprehension!!!!

Well said, Apollo!

ApolloSpeaks @ 07:43 wrote
"75% of the credit for Camp David belongs to Anwar Sadat, 25% to Begin and 5% to Carter. If Ford had defeated Carter in 1976 it would have changed nothing, Camp David would have happened all the same."

Apollo, your math is wrong; the first two numbers are accurate, but their sum is cent-percent--which actually leaves Carter with diddly-squat (0%). Other than that minor error, the above quote is on the nail!

Also for ApolloSpeaks
The closest figure I can see to another Sadat (major surprise coming from an Indian not exactly noted for any love towards mohajirs) is...Pervez Musharraf, as he negotiated the (re)opening of the Jhelum Valley "peace bus" after 58 years. Of course, Jimmuh can't rest on Mush due to never having been personally involved in the negotiations (possible that US as a nation was involved in some "back-room diplomacy", but that will only be outed when Mush's grandson gets promoted to brigadier-or-above rank).

my 2 cents
jimmy carter - a national democratic embarrassment

Was Jimmuh
the official moron of the 1996 Olympics?

OK Anne --
So what is Rice going to do about it? Amazing that we have ex-failed-Presidents running around meeting with foreign leaders - WHEN - they have NO business doing so. Until the Attorney General, of whoever, stomps of this people it will continue to happen. If Rice isn't going to do anything about it - then she needs to shutup. I remember the Carter years. I remember JUST barely getting by. He was and is an embarrasment and a failure.

For ApolloSpeaks @ 09:16
(on multiculturalism) I didn't realise that groats in the US had copied unofficially the failed OFFICIAL policies of the Grits (under Pierre-eh) in Canada.

Anastasia: What IS your point????

"OK Anne -- So what is Rice going to do about it?"

Excuse me? What kind of answer are you expecting? How would I know?

"If Rice isn't going to do anything about it - then she needs to shutup."

Well, I'm pretty sure that Rice was ASKED about it, so she answered....

Reply for ApolloSpeaks @ 09:23
Your question actually answers itself with the word "unintentionally"--anyway, I agreed with your not wishing to credit Carter other than for coincidentally providing the venue.

(and I've more than once pointed out the fact that the Jhelum Valley "peace bus" was reopened on Jorge Bush Jr.'s watch meets the same standard of "success").

Jimmah is more of a

...plug nickle than a bad penny.

Senility?
Michael, that is in really poor taste considering the fact that your father was pretty much a vegetable during the last half of his second term.

What is wrong with talking to the leaders of Hamas?

Sun Tsu wrote "Keep your friends close and your enemys closer" - How the hell are you going to defeat an enemy if you don't know anything about him? The Art of War is required reading in every military academy across the globe.

And as far as the fall if the Shah, the Shah was a real jerk. The people of Iran overthrew him. How can you claim to support Democracy when you prop up dictators like The Shah.

While Carter made some mistakes, they were pale by comparison to the mistakes Reagan and Bush have made. If you are so against the current regime in Iran, the fact that we took out their greatest enemy - Saddam, is just plain stupidity.

And as far as the hostages, they probably would have been released earlier if the Reagan campaign had not been negotiating under the table for their release. Do you think it was just a coincidence that they were released on the day that Reagan was sworn in? Yes, the Reagan administration was NEGOTIATING with Iran. Isn't that the same thing Carter is trying to do?

Not only that, but the Reagan administration was SELLING IRAN WEAPONS.

Michael Reagan is one of the most unintentionally hillarious TV pundits around. He could really learn a lot from his brother.

Thank God for Ronald Reagan
What kind of world would it be if Reagan hadn't been there to stop this idiot? Those not killed in WW III would be in Soviet slave camps, and Hillary could be commissar of the CPUSA.

Jimmy Blows Hot CO2
Don't forget, if you're a "warmie," or concerned about the prospect of energy rationing to cut CO2 emissions: it's Jimmy's fault, basically, we're using so much coal, & so little nuclear, to generate "baseline" electricity.

He killed a fuel reprocessing plant in SC that wasn't far from coming online. Somebody told me the holding pools are being used by a SCUBA school.

France can do it, but we couldn't. Way to go.

Charlie
"Michael, that is in really poor taste considering the fact that your father was pretty much a vegetable during the last half of his second term."

The Alzheimer's didn't really kick in until he had been out of office. If belittling an old, and now dead, man makes you feel better, feel free.

"What is wrong with talking to the leaders of Hamas? "

The main problem is that all of their "talking" is really stalling. They, Syria, Iran, and probably others have publicly and repeatedly stated that teir real aim is the total destruction of Israel.

"And as far as the fall if the Shah, the Shah was a real jerk. The people of Iran overthrew him. How can you claim to support Democracy when you prop up dictators like The Shah. "

Yeah, the Ayatollah was much better.

"While Carter made some mistakes, they were pale by comparison to the mistakes Reagan and Bush have made. "

Right, like winning the Cold War, expelling Saddam from Kuwait, and then from this earth.

"Do you think it was just a coincidence that they were released on the day that Reagan was sworn in?"

No, I think the Iranains were pi$$ing down their legs in fear.

"Not only that, but the Reagan administration was SELLING IRAN WEAPONS."

What better foreign policy could there be than to sell arms to both the Iraqis and Iranians? We makde money; they killed each other. Brilliance.

Come on Charles!
Poor taste from Michael Reagan?! And then you make an asinine statement about his father as a vegetable. Typical lib response again.

As for the Art of War, you don't keep irrational enemies close to you. Common sense tells anyone this. As for the Shah, yeah, he was a schmuck, but Carter is knee-jerk reactionary who created the power vacuum in Iran by stripping all support of him without a replacement strategy.

Finally, the reason the hostages were released on inauguration day was because Reagan promised to "make Tehran glow" if they didn't. That's diplomacy from a position of strength. Reagan made dealings with regimes that might have been "shady" but at least he did it in the best interests of us and our allies. He also did covertly, not to embarrass our nation.

curious carter
curiouser and curiouser, thats him. a dangerous idiot. how we can get a lesson from this? watch curious clinton. i expect he is out and about the world more... doing good for himself and then.....obama wants to change the WORLD. power to these people is at least misplaced. sorry it isn't just a movie.

Jimmy Carter
He isn't senile nor does he have Alzheimers. If only we could give him that excuse. He is just plain ignorant.

The liberals would be singing a different tune if say Obama gets elected and Bush goes abroad and does any and everything to undermine his foreign policy.

So what if Hamas was duly elected? I am sick to death of hearing that. For one, the idiot that runs Hamas is hiding in Syria. Secondly, just because they were elected does not mean we have to grant them status. Their is consequences for everything you do in life. The best that we could do is not acknowledge Hamas, hamstring them completely, so they will be ineffective and not get re-elected.

Next you liberals are going to tell me that if a serial killer gets elected I have to recognize them. Tyranny is tyranny and it doesn't matter if it is elected or not.

My MAN!
Jimmie is directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands, and for plunging tens of millions more into political servitude! This is not just rhetoric, it is fact. I used to think his intentions were pure, but the evidence is irrefutable, He has spread and promoted the most evil of any man in my lifetime (52 yrs>).
The man is not an embarrassment, but the bane of all men and women who value freedom and self-determination. There is shame on our nation, and blood on our hands for electing such an evil man!

Does anyone remember

... the famous "killer rabbit" that nobody else saw? I wonder if it was six feet tall and answered to the name "Harvey"? (Of course Jimmah is no Elwood P. Dowd!)

Reply to Gretchen @ 11:52
The "killer rabbit" was actually later found to be a 5-year -old from Calgary (all of about 4' tall) who had been wearing a rabbit mask that he'd gotten at a "Phil's" restaurant (the chain has restaurants in some southern Alberta cities) a month earlier. LOL.

There should be a law
saying that any one-term former President, who was, obviously ONE-TERM because he/she did not have the confidence or trust of the people for more, should just shut the Hell up and go away!

I drove by his tax-payer funded compound in Plains, GA. It is a big place that he does not deserve. He should be happy just go there and die.

Robert
We didn't "talk" to the Soviets to resolve the issue, we outspent them so completely on military spending that they ended up bankrupting the country in the effort to keep up....

Carter
SUCCINT RESPONSE:
DANGEROUS IDIOT

Carter is evil
There is no senility or naivete excuse for this warped world view Carter holds. Unfortunately, his actions, which surely border on treason, are applauded by far too many on the left fringe. He has a fondness for every America-hating dictator and a blame the victim mentality when it comes to the Middle East. The nation that tries to defend its citizens from suicide bombers by building a protective barrier along its border is guilty of practicing apartheid in Carter's sick point of view. The planners and financiers of the suicide bombings are reasonable men with whom we should be engaging in talks. Worst of all, when Carter is not busy undermining our country abroad, he is back home spreading his malice on college campuses, drawing applause and adoration from naive students and rumored financial support from hostile Arab nations. The man is evil incarnate!

Laughable
"Carter is knee-jerk reactionary who created the power vacuum in Iran by stripping all support of him without a replacement strategy" -

Replacement strategy? Why not be honest with them and let them decide who replaces him?
We did the same thing in Iraq - How many elections have we had there?

They elected fundamentalists. Be carefull what you ask for.

As for drwings:
"Finally, the reason the hostages were released on inauguration day was because Reagan promised to "make Tehran glow" if they didn't"

That is complete BS. They released them because Ollie North promised to sell them weapons.

Reagan did not cause the fall of The Soviet Union any more than every president since Eisenhower. The Russian's ecomony was collapsing under the weight of it's own failed economic system and from a failed prolonged war of choice in Afghanistan.

The 4 trillion or so Reagan spent sped it up by a year at the most - confirmed by numerous Russian generals.

As for expelling Saddam from Kuwait, he would not have invaded if we had not been selling arms to his enemy - Iran

Interesting - I'm going to have to pay $70 per person this year at Disneyland, and you're already in Fantasyland for free. That doesn't seem fair.

You are not helping your arguement.

For AZPhil
I almost spilled my coffee seeing Chuck's asking for refutation of his argument, AFTER he had given it a very indecent burial!

2nd Worst
Jimmy Carter was the second worst president of the 20th century, eclipsed only by a perjuring felon who sold missile technology to our enemies for campaign contributions. He is even the 2nd worst ex-president thanks to the lovable BJ's pilgrimage around the world birddogging babes and banging beaver as he rakes in million dollar speaking and lobbying fees and his superstar performance as the spouse of a damaged and repulsive presidential candidate. You were always number two, Sparky. You never had the panache to be anything but a loser. You ran against the comatose heir to a fallen legacy in a quirky political year, but beyond that stroke of luck you never did a single thing right. As soon as the country got to know you well they despised you. Now you campaign for sainthood amongst the elitists who have never stopped thinking of you as a bungling peanut farmer as they run to kiss the feet of St. Algore. What a pathetic wretch you are.

Odd....
Has anyone else noticed it is the democratic presidents who will not GO AWAY!!??

Nixon, (for obvious reasons) but not so much different than #42. Reagan, H.W. Bush, and Gerald Ford, God Bless him.n Further back we have Eisenhower. These men went home and became grand statesman. On the other hand....Carter, and need we mention Clinton will not go away. The other two dems, Johnson and Kennedy....dead.

Don
So you have a problem with former presidents who devote the rest of their lives to humanitarian causes? Would you feel better if they sold us out to the Saudis like George Bush Sr. did through is oil dealings and association with the Bin Laden family through the Carlyle Group?

Yea, what a bunch of jerks winning the Nobel Prize and all like Carter and Gore have.

And Skep, it was the military contractors who sold missile technology to the Chinese and those deals were approved by the GOP led Congress. Also it was outdated technology that China would have gotten anyway. Do you read anything besides TH?

If you really want to talk about who is selling us out to the Chinese, that would be Bush. Who the hell do you think we are borrowing all of this money from to pay for Bush's spending?

America held hostage
under Jimmah Carter - 444 days and he still doesn't realize that he is a fool. He was actually bitter after his loss to the great Ronald Reagan. And I have not forgotten the mortgage interest rates in the double digits. Carter was a disaster and remains a disaster - as well as an anti-Semitic bigot.

Boutte writes:
Boondocks blowhards are irrelevant
Jimmy Carter talks to Hamas, in an exploratory and non-committal way, to find out if there is any way forward in brokering negotiations that the next, probably Democratic, president can use.

If you really believe terrorist can be talked to and it’s not against the law to do so, why don’t you head on over and talk to them? No, I think just like dimmy carter and peso george, you people really think they can be talked too and dealt with. Although their only goal in life is too wipe Israel off the map with all its inhabitants, you people still think they want to sit down and what, have a love in or group therapy? Thanks but no thanks. I think Hamas will make you and dimmy irrelevant, if given the chance.

Charles writes:

Hey, I don’t. But let them stick too that or running around campaigning for their spouse. Dimmy was no good at it when he was Prez, why should we let him out now when the Middle East has a new and more dangerous game plan? Thanks, but let him stick too what he knows. Nuts or framework.

AGGIE
writes, "Why Support a Zionist State? Let the Jews Carry their Own water!"

What a brilliant idea! Since the muslims will not be happy till Israel ceases to exist, all we have to do is let them all die and then the muslims will no longer have a reason to hate us. We should have let the British carry their own water in 1940. Goes for the rest of Europe also. We could have avoided a bloody war just by letting Hitler have everything he wanted. Likewise, we could have let China, Burma, Korea, etc carry their own water against imperial Japan. Wow, this is easy. All the world's problems solved through appeasement and surrender.

" Good For Jimmy Carter! I salute You Sir!"

For those about to die, we salute you.

I bet if Aggie had his way, all the Jews could be fed to the lions in stadiums for our viewing pleasure. I mean, if they must die, we might as well make some cash off selling pop and candy at the event.

Charles
writes, "Yea, what a bunch of jerks winning the Nobel Prize and all like Carter and Gore have. "

LOL. Absolute perfect example of liberal indoctrination. Do you see how it feeds on itself? Let a bunch of liberal European surrender monkeys pin medals on the chests of their lackeys and then the libs go, look, see the awards, see how great they are. ROTFLMAO.

The Nobel committee has rendered the award virtually meaningless. In fact, in true Orwellian fashion, the award has now come to represent the exact opposite of its original meaning. The Darwin award has more meaning then the Nobel peace prize. It's a shame really. All future recipients, even if well deserved, will be less valued due to the fact of it being given to Arafat, Gore, and Carter. Btw, what peace did Gore actually achieve? Peace with mother Gaia?

Hitch
You are typical of the TH readers and Reagan leg humpers here using terms like "Surrender Monkeys" - Your intellect cannot reach beyond the Archie Bunker bumper sticker mentality. The Europeans fought bravely against Hitler and we would not have won the war without them. If it weren't for the French, we would have never even made it onto the beach at Normandy. If it were not for the British and the Rolls Royce Merlin V12, our fighter planes would have never stood a chance against the ME109s and FW19s and we would have never figured out the triggering mechanism for the A-Bomb or even had radar.

Screw Israel, they started the whole thing with Hamas. Have you ever had to do business with Israelis or even been there? If you have, you would know why Hamas is doing what they are doing.

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter won the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize on for what presenters cited as decades of work seeking peaceful solutions and promoting social and economic justice (which is true)

I guess your concept of humanitarian work involves selling our country out to the Saudis and Chinese or forming a lobbying group to aid terrorists like Kissinger did.

Gore was awarded the Nobel for making the world aware of climate change. Do you not think that the erradication of food crops might, just might lead to wars?

Thank God people like you will not be running the country much longer. Needless to say, nobody with the last name of Bush will be recieving ANY awards except for maybe the award of "Biggest Corporate Whore" from the douchebags at The Heritage Foundation.

Chuckles scribbles:

That is the most asinine statement I have ever read on TH. To bad you did not go too a school other than public. You give new meaning to the phrase “useful idiot.” Or in your case it may well be useless idiot.

I confess. I voted for Jimmy Carter. Okay, I was young(er). Everyone is entitled to a few mistakes. Please don't hold it against me.

How this man can run around bashing the US kissing up to such evil people is beyond words.

So you are saying the Free French did not perform sabotage and supply information that helped lead to a successfull invasion? By the way, I went to a private school you elitist jackoff. Who cares?

My grandfather worked in intelligence during WW2. I think I know what I am talking about.

Chuckles scribbles:

I highly doubt your family had anything too do with intelligence. I bet there are more than a few survivors of Normandy that would argue the point with you. The French, other than a small percentage of real patriots, did what they do best, surrender. Just like they are doing now with the Muslims. Carter
He is just trying to keep the mess Bush has created over there from spreading to other countries. I think Matt Tiabbi sums it up best:

What the Bush administration has created in Iraq is a sort of paradise of perverted capitalism, where revenues are forcibly extracted from the customer by the state, and obscene profits are handed out not by the market but by an unaccountable government bureaucracy. This is the triumphant culmination of two centuries of flawed white-people thinking, a preposterous mix of authoritarian socialism and laissez-faire profiteering, with all the worst aspects of both ideologies rolled up into one pointless, supremely idiotic military adventure -- American men and women dying by the thousands, so that Karl Marx and Adam Smith can blow each other in a Middle Eastern glory hole.

You see?
Again, nothing having anything to do with the conversation

back to her usual tricks.

Aren't you bored with it yet, Anne? Or are you just showing your Teletubby mental age? "Again! Again!" Bet you're the purple one.

Your back? I thought TH relegated you to the dustbin? Oh well, just like wobbie, dimmy and all the bad pennies. Your back.

What about my back, doc?
Stupid AND illiterate, half of 'em.

Oh well, just like wobbie, dimmy and all the bad pennies, Your back.

There it is fixed that all you want, because if it's a back shave your looking for, no thanks.

Doc: Wonder who sent mellor and Cha'les

here??? huffy-puffy or kos?

I do love it though... exactly what Dr. Rossiter found...

"Top psychiatrist concludes liberals clinically nuts
"Eminent psychiatrist makes case ideology is mental disorder "

"Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded," says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness." "Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave."

Wonder if he mentions mellor and cha'les by name?

Ha Ha Ha Ha

Anne
Thats one I will read for sure.

We must start a Hamas/Carter Fund!
It would be a bargain to pay Hamas "X" amount of dollars for Carter to have an "accident" while visiting with them. Israel should also give a large one-time payment.

In a more perfect world, Reagan would be alive and well and Carter would be senile, like he is now, only silent.

Hamas and others
There is nothing wrong with talking with Hamas, the legally-elected representatives of the Palestinians. It is interesting how we in the US crow about our support for "democracy," except when other countries elect people we don't like.

If Carter can't talk to Hamas, then Reagan should not have talked with Russia (which, after all, murdered millions in the Ukraine), and Nixon should not have talked with Mao (who killed millions in the Cultural Revolution, and at other times as well).

As Churchill said, "Jaw, jaw," beats "war, war" any time.

Our leaders need to get away from the idea that they are a branch of the Likud party. There are legitimate grievances on the part of the Palestinians.

Jimmy Carter
A really itty bitty piece of overpriced real-estate is getting too much attention. Most of this so called Holy land is strewn with blood and guts. As a tax payer....I say this is the biggest sub-prime peace of wasteland that a few fools keep fighting over. Too bad a good man like Jimmy Carter gives a spit.....He really is trying to rescue the American Taxpayer from this over-sold scam.

Can't you tell I don't give a fig
