Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

Who says politicians can’t move swiftly and decisively to block an imminent threat to public decency?

Consider the courageous work of most of our state legislatures and, potentially, the Congress of the United States, to put an end to the shameful scourge of internet hunting.

Since 2005, 33 states have outlawed the cruel, unsportsmanlike practice, and when the governor signs an Illinois bill that’s already passed both houses that will make 34 states that have taken action to put an end to the slaughter. As the Humane Society of the United States declared in a mailing that went out in 2006 to 50,000 households: “Such horrific cruelty must stop and stop now!”

As recently as last week, sportswriter and novelist Frank Deford delivered a scathing commentary on NPR decrying the hordes of knuckle-dragging internet hunters and comparing their viciousness to the alleged dog-fighting abuses of football star Michael Vick. Even the United States House of Representatives has taken up the cause, with one of the senior Republicans in Congress, the usually level-headed Tom Davis of Virginia, introducing HR 2711, The Computer Assisted Remote Hunting Act. “You just wonder,” he declared, “who would do something like this?”

The answer is no one, actually.

Despite the nationwide hysteria (deliberately fanned by the Humane Society and other animal welfare groups) there’s no evidence anywhere, that anyone has blown away herds of unsuspecting wildlife through an internet connection.

According to a revealing expose by Zachary M. Seward in the Wall Street Journal, the concerns about internet hunting began with one John Lockwood, an insurance estimator for an auto-body shop in San Antonio. In November of 2004, he launched “live-shot.com,” a website designed to provide disabled citizens with the excitement of hunting. For a monthly fee and $150 an hour, they could peer through a webcam and aim a .30 caliber rifle at various animals on a hunting farm in Central Texas, pulling the trigger by clicking the mouse. The resulting game could be frozen and shipped (at additional expense) to the internet hunter. Immediate public outcry forced the quick abandonment of these plans: at the time he withdrew his service only one individual – a friend of Lockwood’s – had tested the service, succeeding in killing a single wild hog.

The quick withdrawal of the “live-shot” idea didn’t stop the Humane Society from declaring internet hunting a “sickening reality” and beginning its nationwide drive for legislative bans (and, not coincidentally, contributions from alarmed citizens). Michael Markarian, who led the crusade against the non-existent practice, noted the overwhelming opposition to shooting game farm animals through the internet. He called the Humane Society’s wildly successful campaign “one of the fastest paces of reform for any animal issue that we can remember seeing.” Tallying all the legislative votes on the internet-hunting “controversy”, 3,528 legislators solemnly cast their lot to ban the abominable practice, while only 38 cantankerous souls came out in opposition: a comfortable margin of more than 90 to one.

While the Humane Society trumpeted its spectacular “success” in this important effort, the National Rifle Association maintained a more balanced perspective in explaining its proud support for the internet hunting bans. “We were happy to do it,” said Rod Harder, NRA lobbyist in Oregon. “It’s pretty easy to outlaw something that doesn’t exist.” With that model in mind, all legislators and governors, all Senators and Congressmen on the federal level, should vote quickly to support current efforts to ban or block the dreaded “North American Union” which allegedly threatens to merge the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

Since no office-holder of any political persuasion has ever advocated this “pre-meditated merger,” politicians should be able to dispense with this dire non-threat just about as easily as they fended off the menace of internet hunting. Of course, our elected representatives may look a bit silly wasting their legislative energy trying to counteract a plan that no one supports, but no sillier, certainly, than the pompous and paranoid media demagogues (Lou Dobbs most prominent among them) who decry this vast conspiracy every day.

On August 5, for example, WorldNutDaily, the once-reputable website that now positions itself as the last line of defense against all-powerful plots against our sovereignty, even managed to connect fears of a North American Union to the tragic bridge disaster in Minneapolis. “NAFTA Superhighway Traffic Tied to Bridge Collapse,” proclaimed the headline---without informing readers that the dreaded Superhighway doesn’t exist in Minnesota, or anywhere else beyond the feverish fantasies of conspiracists.

In the face of such heavy-breathing scare stories, legislators in several dozen states and even some members of Congress (including the benighted Virgil Goode of Virginia) have already introduced resolutions to derail the North American Union before it’s too late--- just as some of the same valiant defenders of sanity and decency fought off the horrible menace of internet hunting.

Actually, I support such resolutions, as should even the most skeptical critics of the alarmist, NAU frenzy-- as should, for that matter, the President of the United States. We all back American sovereignty, don’t we? Anyone honestly desire to replace the greenback dollars with a sketchy (and presumably tan-colored) invention known (to paranoid loon-dogs) as “the Amero”? When legislatures and Congress vote unanimously, or by margins exceeding 100 to 1, against melding the USA with our Mexican and Canadian neighbors, then perhaps some of our terrified fellow citizens will be able to sleep soundly again – and focus on the nation’s persistent problems and present threats.

Democrats, for instance, want to socialize medicine, raise taxes, weaken our military, restructure the family, and create vast new cradle-to-grave entitlements. Conservatives and patriots ought to concentrate on defeating these open and ongoing efforts rather than shadow-boxing against phantoms like the North American Union and the Monster Superhighway.

Like the Humane Society with its shameless exploitation of the non-issue of internet-hunting, the demagogues will no doubt claim victory for their tireless grandstanding when, after several years, their apocalyptic warnings about North American Union and vast NAFTA roadways fail to materialize. Like the franticly barking dog who manages to chase away the postman every single day (after that letter carrier suspiciously drops something in the mail slot but before he manages to break into the house), the sovereignty saviors may well feel a sense of relief and accomplishment when no unrecognizable, blended nation emerges from the ashes of the USA. As the NRA spokesman said about the web-cam/big game scam, “it’s pretty easy to outlaw something that doesn’t exist.”

Then, after celebrating this heroic triumph, perhaps our agitated activists can let go of their nightmares about internet hunters and NAU plotters and refocus their efforts (and ours) on real problems, real perils, and the real world.

Oh My!
The Paulettes are not going to take kindly to this column.

Scoff if you must
but there is DEFINITELY SOMETHING going on...

1) Why should Kansas City be a listed as a PORT?
2) Why the push to legalize all illegal immigrants?
3) Why do we now have Mexican truckers on US highways? They are NOT licensed for the USA, many/most do not speak Enlish.
4) Why the CONSTANT erosion of the English language - everyday in every way?
5) WHY DO WE NOT HAVE THE FENCE THAT WAS VOTED ON, FINANCED and the MAJORITY OF US CITIZENS WANT?
6) WHy the seemingly endless parade of Border Patrol on trial for doing thier jobs?
7) Why the seemingly endless parade of illegals murdering US citizens and getting away with it?
8) Why does the US government REFUSE to ENFORCE our Border and immigration laws?
9( Why has almost ALL OF THIS happen on GW Bush's watch???

Is this PROOF of a NAU in progress?? I don't know for sure, but SOMETHING IS GOING ON.

If you can't see SOMETHING going on now - you probably need an eye test more than anything else. Or you need to dig your head out of your

Motive?
If there is something going on, Canada and Mexico should perhaps worry about their sovereignity than the USA, since the probably result would be to reduce them to the 51st and 52nd states of the union. I have no problem with Lou Dobbs or others feeling they need to keep our heads up and warn us to look out, although it does seem to reach hysterical proportions. BUT...

I wish Mr. Medved didn't feel like he had to drop his Christianity and be so nasty. It's possible to disagree with someone or a position, but ever since he first started writing about this, it seems like it is more about his personal dislike of Joseph Farah and others than about the issue. The tone is not only not necessary, but it distracts from the point he is trying to make. Indeed, it subtracts from it's legitimacy since you wonder...does he disagree because the evidence is against it or because it will smack people he doesn't like?

Sorry...
At work and got distracted so forgive grammar and spelling...my first post here, doesn't seem to be a way to edit it.

chocdave
No need to apologize, your post seemed very adequately written and well thought out. My only disagreement with many of the posts I see on TH is the atrocious spelling and grammar, run on sentences, failure to properly capitalize, typing "to" when you mean "too", as if the person was doing the "hunt and peck" for the first time and never learned proper writing skills. And, those that write "books" simply add to the confusion. And, I do get sick of the gratuitous links provided for pet causes. As to how to edit the posts here - your only recourse is to type your post, then go back and check what you've done and make corrections. Once it's in the comments section, it's there for life. Oh, by the way, Michael Medved is Jewish, not Christian. Also, you'll get used to all the libs who post on these columns, you'd think they'd spend their time on some liberal place but then they don't get to spew their hatred of anything conservative the way they do here.

My poor, poor Well, Now
Why should Kansas City be listed as a port? Because it's on the Missouri River, a major contributory of the Mississsippi River and a commercial inland water conduit. In other words, it IS a port! Get a map, will you?

Wow!
do people really worry so much about grammar, spelling and punctuation?

It is the content that matters most. I do not care if you spell a word wrong or have a typo and just leave it.

I have many other things in life that bother me much more than how well someone has mastered enlish!!

OPTED TO BE BLIND?
Medved - go to gov. site: http://www.spp.gov AND READ!
- ALSO -"google" this: "nafta superhighway" - and you will SEE the photos of it.
Better yet - ask Giuliani - his firm is behind Texas Nafta Superhighway.

ONLY FOOLS DENY THE OBVIOUS.

Gullible
Hey all you conspiracy nuts out there citing whacko web sites go and read the truth about the "super highway" and the "North American Union" here is a link to get you started:
http://www.spp.gov/myths_vs_facts.asp

Let's see it, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Example:
"Myth: The SPP was an agreement signed by Presidents Bush and his Mexican and Canadian counterparts in Waco, TX, on March 23, 2005.

Fact: The SPP is a dialogue to increase security and enhance prosperity among the three countries. The SPP is not an agreement nor is it a treaty. In fact, no agreement was ever signed."

Call it "a meeting", for example. No difference.
IT WAS SIGNED. SUBGROUPS IN ALL 3 NATIONS ARE WORKING ON DETAILS. GIULIANI IS BEHIND PART OF IT.
Nobody made it up. And gov never lies? Don't Klinton us!

DO YOU SEE INCREASED SECURITY ?
LIKE OTHER LIBFOOLS, you deny the obvious:
CRIME IS UP, TB and leprosy are in, ILLEGALS KILL MORE AMERICANS THAN WAR IN IRAQ.
READ MALKIN AND FRED. THINK BEFORE REPEATING someone's lies. We do.

I CANNOT HAVE A BATTLE OF WITS WITH AN UNARMED PERSON. Don't bother answer

Michael is too Biased, This a Dem Dream
I don't understand why Michael is so one-sided on this issue. It seems to me that some of the issues relevant to the North American Union story are real and deserve to be treated seriously. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about them. Personally I have little doubt that the 'demorats' would sell out our sovereignty in a heartbeat while they are in power. Not that my faith in Bush is much higher at this point. But I can see the 'demorats' pushing hard to get as many aliens into the country as possible to basically put the Republican party out of business. Let's pray that what they dream of doesn't become our collective nighmare.

Acronyms
Surely you have heard of the SPP (Security and Prosperity Partnership)? Can you explain all the secrecy involved in this treaty group's upcoming meeting in Canada? It will occur August 20 and I understand there is a 15 MILE buffer zone preventing any protesters.

The NAU is purported to go into effect in 2010. If there is no such thing, please explain President Bush's love affair will illegal immigrants from Mexico.

Most of the current crop of Presidential candidates are CFR (Council on Foreign Relation) members, who are FOR dissolving America's sovereignty. Do some research.

Sorry, Mr. Medved. This is the Internet Age and the information is out there for all who are curious about the truth. You can't ignore its power to educate the masses. Please stop calling informed people nutjobs. It's not very becoming of you.

One more thing: http://www.ronpaul2008.com

Council on Foreign Relations Debacle
I found this from the Council on Foreign Relations report title, "Building a North American Community": The three governments should commit themselves to the long-term goal of dramatically diminishing the need for the current intensity of the governments’ physical control of cross-border traffic, travel, and trade within North America. A long-term goal for a North American border action plan should be joint screening of travelers from third countries at their first point of entry into North America and the elimination of most controls over the temporary movement of these travelers within North America.

This sounds like a very bad idea to put it mildly. There is more in this article over at Human Events.

http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=14965

Plain Talk
Medved once again uses hyperbole to confuse the an issue: the SPP and NAU.

In a nutshell:

The SPP proposal is that the US outsources its security to Canada and Mexico in exchange for an unlimited supply of cheap labor from Mexico and skilled labor from Canada. Enforcement of US law at the border, in our cities and at the workplace are all out of step with the vision of a North American Union.

Further, the same elites that gave us Globalization (without public discussion or debate) now further their gains without public discussion or debate. In fact, Medved attempts to stifle debate with dopey articles like this one!

It is past time for Americans (U.S. citizens) to end Plutocracy and re-institute Democracy.

Thank God for Lou Dobbs.

pianogirl
Thank you.

All NAU-butt kissers/deniers hope THEY will be included...That's the reason their noses are brown and they keep on Klintoning us!!!

Others - just 2 gray cell imbeciles, homo sapiens versions of amoeba...who think that repeating a statement of a known person makes them look smart...what a pity ;)

Some answers
1) Why should Kansas City be a listed as a PORT? Because it's on a river. It gets limited commercial traffic, but that's the reason why.

2) Why the push to legalize all illegal immigrants? Because it will make taxpayers of them and their ILLEGAL employers. Read Greenspan's speechs of Jan 2000, and you'll see the Rovian answer to Greenspan's idea.

3) Why do we now have Mexican truckers on US highways? They are NOT licensed for the USA, many/most do not speak Enlish. See above. Remember, the basic tenet of capitalism is LOW wages (read Adam Smith).

4) Why the CONSTANT erosion of the English language - everyday in every way? Partly due to lack of good and underfunded education, and partly due to recognizing that the number of whites in this country is only about 50%.

5) WHY DO WE NOT HAVE THE FENCE THAT WAS VOTED ON, FINANCED and the MAJORITY OF US CITIZENS WANT? Most AQmericans? Doubtful on that. The fence was a hyper-emotional seel job and most people know it. See how easy that is?

6) WHy the seemingly endless parade of Border Patrol on trial for doing thier jobs? Seemingly is the key word. Also, can't interfere with #2 and #3.

7) Why the seemingly endless parade of illegals murdering US citizens and getting away with it?Waht amkes you think that is happening? And since when is justice important to the administration that refuses to pursue the criminal of 9.11. Go look up Bin Laden's FBI most wanted page. No mention of 9.11 because there has never been an indictment against him.

8) Why does the US government REFUSE to ENFORCE our Border and immigration laws? Read about the phony company Congress set up to test the security of the Nuclear Regualtory Agency.

9( Why has almost ALL OF THIS happen on GW Bush's watch??? This should reveal to you just what the agenda is of these neo-cons and any who blindly support them.

It's about the money.

Say it ain't so
"Then, after celebrating this heroic triumph, perhaps our agitated activists can let go of their nightmares about internet hunters and NAU plotters and refocus their efforts (and ours) on real problems, real perils, and the real world."

Naaaaaw. That does not suit their template. It collects no money. It gives them no political power and THAT is what they are all about.

Hunters? They are just the latest excuse to collect money and political power. Next it'll be Mick Vick for dof fighting. Then it'll be Mitt Romney for having his dog kennel on the top of his car. And then it'll be the next one in line.

This is just ANOTHER far left democratic front organization out to do whatever they can to destroy the America we knew and rule the one they are trying to make.

North American Union
Let us forget about the union nonsense. Let us simply take over Canada and Mexico and increase the number of states by ten or so. Canada is already a civilized nation. Mexico could become civilized by knocking out the drug cartels and forcing the Mexican elite to pay their fair share of taxes. It is simply a logical extension of the manifest destiny of the USA.

North American Union
I ran into a friend of mine I hadnt seen in awhile this past Christmas when I was back for the holidays. Usually a lucid, intelligent person I was suprised to discover he had gone over the top on the NAU. He was insistant that the King of Spain(is there still one?) owned the company that was building the hiway. Yes, the Amero was on it's way and it was already passed law in the United States. Incredulous, I asked when that happened. He calimed during the NAFTA passage. I must confess, I have never read the NAFTA agreement. HAs anybody else out there? Is there actual language in the act that could be interpreted that way?

North American Union and Virgil Goode
You managed to brush off the NAU threat while claiming to oppose it.

You gratuitously insult Virgil Goode, whom I consider to be a fine, patriotic American, one of the finest in the House of Representatives. Such an insult is not only unfair, it is stupid.

I used to be a fan of yours. Now I'm trying to remember why.

Rense Johnson, Chairman
Citizens for Term Limits

North American Union
http://www.kansascitysmartport.com shows something more than the Missouri River for the port designation.

Medved the Mindless
I am generally too busy exploiting the Capitalist system to read TH every day, but when I began reading this dribble from Michael Medved, I was struck with terror knowing that the PTB have apparently let him know what his future holds if he does not join them in their efforts to keep the general populace from discovering their dastardly deeds concerning the NAU and the SPP. It is rather scarry when someone like Medved loses his composure and succombs to the threats. Oh well, write off another coward, and relegate him to the recycle bin of life in the United States of Amero.

I too
found it hard to believe when I first heard about it. Then I began to see the things that were going on, and reading government papers etc. Now I know it is happening.

A bill proposed and passed in the house.(think it was Duncan Hunter) Any way, it was to stop all funding for the NAFTA Super highway.

Haven't heard any more in a couple of weeks now.

The president, and some others want open borders, and NAU. They are trying to make it happen. And plan to bring back the amnesty bill.

Mudhead is really reaching now!
How can anyone even listen to this idiotic establishment supporting blowhard!

There is overwhelming evidence for the NAu and yet this anti-chiken little runs around trying to get patriotic Americans to sit down and go back to sleep. Just who are you really working for Mudhead?

There was the EU, the African Union is now in place, they are working on an Oceanic and Asian union presently, how is it likely then that America would not have insider elitist trash also planning on one here? Why all the secrecy? WHy all the meetings? WHy all the coverup?

No Mudhead, you are not even reputable anymore. Conservatives hsould work to remove this thundering clod hopper from the air waves.

Truth about North American Union ???
If, Mr. Medved, as you say there is no basis for worry, why then would a respected organization such as Judicial Watch have taken the time and effort to insist on being present on the upcoming SPP Aug 20 meeting? I would really prefer to believe you, but there is too much smoke for a fire not be smoldering somewhere!

Incrementalism
If Democrats were using incrementalism to forward their socialist plans, Michael Medved would be on them like a duck on a junebug. However, when corporatist incrementalism is being pushed by a Bush, Medved plays the nut-job card against those who warn of the plot. This makes Medved nothing than a propagandist. Too bad, but we with eyes to see, ears to hear and a mind to process are not buying the propaganda.

And, will someone please tell me why a port in the middle of the American heartland would have a foreign customs facility running it? I could see having a foreign customs facility at a US port of entry, say at the US/Texas border, but Kansas City, Missouri? I think not! Something else is afoot. Michael Medved may try to denigrate WND.com as "the once-reputable website" but fails to note thet the Mayor of Kansas City writes all about the international port in glowing terms. I guess Medved thinks we are too stupid to use Google.

Incrementalism Part II
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: Kansas City: The Corridor to the Future

by Mayor Kay Barnes

MANY ARE SURPRISED TO LEARN America’s next great trading port is located some 1,500 miles away from the Pacific Ocean and more than 900 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. Despite its inland address, Kansas City, Missouri, will soon be home to the first ever foreign customs inspection office on United States soil; a new Mexican Customs Clearance Facility, and thus an expanded international trade corridor between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada is poised to open next year with Kansas City as the focal hub...

Something else Medved does not want you to see on Google would be how, through incrementalism, a simple trade agreement (just like the Bush NAFTA scam) led to the EU and the loss of sovereignty for the nation-states of Europe. Although he does bill himself as a film critic, Medved either missed this film or the propagandist couldn't allow you to know of its existence. Watch and learn what the Bushes and the Medveds of the world have in store for this sovereign republic and your children's future -- UN flunky, George Herbert Walker Bush's proposed "New World Order"

Michael Medved is ignorant
He is about as dumb and condescending as Ruben Navarette. What reason pray tell Mr Medved is why BUSH and his buddies are SHOVING the Mexican populace down the throats of a defiant American people? There is only ONE reason and it as plain as the nose on your face. He plans to join the countries together and will do it without the sayso of the peons in this country..(translation- the citizens , a word soon to mean something obsolete.) Nothing else eplains his and Chertoff and company continue to push their agenda despite the anger the people have shown towards his grand plan. He should be impeached over this and Medved should go back to critiqing movies where I won't have to read , see or hear from him again!

Mayor Kay Barnes says:.......

""As we have learned from the past, integration in the new global economy comes from complete commercial, economic, political, and cultural integration.""

""With our strategic position in the heart of America, and as the hub of the North American Trade Corridor, Kansas City intends to be an integral part of the global marketplace for years to come.""

Thanks to Tasha Tchin for the link.

Seems that everyone except Medved is clued in. Oh, he is clued in too. Then who gives him his marching orders.??.

I've Always Hated Hunting
I grew up in Texas, where hunting is the macho thing to do. I always thought it was disgusting. In this day and age, there's no reason to go hunting to put food on your table; there's plenty of meat in the supermarket. So although I normally agree with Michael, I have to disagree on this one. I'm glad that internet hunting site was shut down. It was sick and disgusting and there was no reason for it.

As for shoving Mexico down our throats--hello! That's already happening! Bush tried to push that shamnesty bill down our throats but thankfully enough people spoke up and it got shot down. It wouldn't surprise me if there's a conspiracy because the Republicans are so cowardly they're letting this country disappear in front of their eyes.

This makes me hope
Joseph Farah and Jerome Corsi keep exposing the loud mouth self righteous medved.
And give the facts of the CFR goals for this union.

Medved is sounding frothy at the mouth.
Anyone ever see this guy in person?
Just wondering if he has that glazed eye look about him associated with madness.

This one?
In an interview with CNBC, a vice president for a prominent London investment firm yesterday urged a move away from the dollar to the "amero," a coming North American currency, he said, that "will have a big impact on everybody's life, in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico."

Steve Previs, a vice president at Jefferies International Ltd., explained the Amero "is the proposed new currency for the North American Community which is being developed right now between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico."

The aim, he said, according to a transcript provided by CNBC to WND, is to make a "borderless community, much like the European Union, with the U.S. dollar, the Canadian dollar and the Mexican peso being replaced by the amero."

Previs told the television audience many Canadians are "upset" about the amero. Most Americans outside of Texas largely are unaware of the amero or the plans to integrate North America, Previs observed, claiming many are just "putting their head in the sand" over the plans.

Actually, hell will freeze over before Americans accept an overt union of the North American countries. This isn't a case where the "slippery slope" will lead anywhere.

North American Union plan headed to Cong
WND– A powerful think tank chaired by former Sen. Sam Nunn and guided by trustees including Richard Armitage, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Harold Brown, William Cohen and Henry Kissinger, is in the final stages of preparing a report to the White House and U.S. Congress on the benefits of integrating the U.S., Mexico and Canada into one political, economic and security bloc.

The final report, published in English, Spanish and French, is scheduled for submission to all three governments by Sept. 30, according to the Center for Strategic & International Studies

CSIS boasts of playing a large role in the passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1994 – a treaty that set in motion a political movement many believe resembles the early stages of the European Community on its way to becoming the European Union.

“The results of the study will enable policymakers to make sound, strategic, long-range policy decisions about North America, with an emphasis on regional integration,” explains Armand B. Peschard-Sverdrup, director of CSIS’ Mexico Project. “Specifically, the project will focus on a detailed examination of future scenarios, which are based on current trends, and involve six areas of critical importance to the trilateral relationship: labor mobility, energy, the environment, security, competitiveness and border infrastructure and logistics.”

There may be something to this
Well, on the surface of what's officially out there, it doesn't look as though there's anything to get hysterical about....until you read between the lines and see what isn't said.
Mind you, I'm not a conspiracy nut, I just look for what is said.

From the spp.gov site:
"To strengthen border security, Mexican and U.S. agencies are exchanging information and establishing protocols to detect fraud and smuggling, and address border violence."
Uh-huh. Nothing said about stopping the flow of illegals into our country; nothing about a real fence. Address border violence? As in prosecuting border patrol agents who fire on scratchbacks?

Then from the Mayor of Kansas City's article:
"..that allows for containers to be unloaded and inspected in Kansas City or Manzanillo, sealed, and then delivered directly by rail to the other city, bypassing inspection delays at the Texas-Mexican border."
Hmmm, SEALED? As in a piece of tape across a container door saying "do not remove this tag?"
Yep, that will stop a smuggler of persons or things from opening that door somewhere on a deserted siding in the heart of Texas; it sure keeps me from removing the tag on my mattress that says the same thing.

THE INTERNET AND THE NAU
The mere existence of the internet has made it harder to hide the truth about the nefarious schemes dreamed up by elitist internationalists who are enchanted with foreign cultures and think that most of the rest of us are are narrow minded and stupid.

Americans are right to demand greater transparency. They know instinctively that government is capable of tyranny.

Beware of the NAU & SPP
It should be obvious that in the last couple of weeks, the powerful elitists who pull the strings of their puppet, Jorge' Bush, that their plans are becoming a little too transparent. I have noticed other so-called prominent figures coming out with scathing commentary about those of us who know all too well that this government is and has been for many years attempting to render the United States Constitution impotent.

For an even more scathing, but accurate assessment of those commentators such as Medved, read what Pastor Chuck Baldwin has to say.

I would much prefer finding I was wrong later, than to be unprepared now. As for me and my family, I intend to keep letting people know that we are being incrementally and systematically prepared to lose our Constitutional freedom and sovereignty, and I will fight to keep that from happening.

Not all are libs
There are actually quite a few of us conservatives that are very concerned about what Bush is up to. This includes Phyllis Schlafy who wrote on the SPP in an article that appeared on TH this month. It was this and other things she has written that got me to start checking into it. What she said made sense, because Bush just doesn't add up right unless he is pushing for more than just amnesty. I used to think Bush was great, up until I saw how forcefully he pushed for this. It was Bush's own actions that has raised concern and suspicion of a great many conservatives who voted for him. Maybe you didn't notice because you are for amnesty yourself.

I really don't appreciate the insults from you Mr. Medved, because you should be aware of this by now if you have looked into it at all. I come to this website because I am a conservative trying to keep up with conservative issues, not to have my intelligence insulted.

PS
I am not a "Paulette" either.

North American Union
On the North American Union, Mr. Mike Medved you need to up your medication. Where there is smoke there is fire. I have been reading everything about the NAU since I first heard it on the Rick Roberts Show.

Legislatures are trying to block it. In state after state. No one is stupid, least of all Jerome Corsi, and the American People.

lestat
Something must have gone wrong with the dating of Medved's columns. In the postings to this column, which is dated 8/22/07, there are many postings dated 8/15/07, leading me to believe that this column should be dated 8/15/07 also? I note you put a post in earlier about this problem?

In Iraq...
If there is the ability to shoot a gun over the internet, lets put some in Iraq and the soldiers shot from here....

Maybe some tanks too?

NAFTA super highway
Here in Texas, we are watching it being built. http://www.corridorwatch.org/ttc/index.htm Here you can read the chronicle of lies, see the lack of transparency, understand the extent to which Gov. Perry is complicit in the plan driven by George Bush.

And we are sharing the roads with the Mexican truckers. A bully in an 18-wheeler is NOT a nice thing to have on the road!

Hundreds of thousands of the most fertile acres in Texas will be taken, thanks to the Kelo decision, so that Cintra Zachry may have its toll road. Products from China will be fast-tracked into the heart of the USA, to the Mexican Customshouse in Kansas City.

Thank heaven for Oklahoma! That state wants nothing to do with it, and the legislature has said so, loudly.

Perry was re-elected to another term because of Texans who, like Medved, cannot believe that something so diabolical could be perpetrated on us by fellow citizens.

They were wrong. And so is Medved.

CHOSES TO BE BLIND?
Medved - go to gov. site: http://www.spp.gov AND READ!
- ALSO -"google" this: "nafta superhighway" - and you will SEE the photos of it.
Better yet - ask Giuliani - his firm is behind Texas Nafta Superhighway.

YESTERDAY, 08/22/07 THE NEWS ABOUT NAU, PROTESTS, Mex/USA/Can ETC. - missed again, Medved?

ONLY FOOLS DENY THE OBVIOUS.

Medved?
I'm a conservative and I can't understand how Medved has any following at all. I also can't believe I wasted three minutes reading this.

When I saw the title of this column
I knew it was going to be like this. CFR, NAU, WTC inside job, grassy knoll, and what ever other conspiracy you can come up with have fun.

Americans seem to like a conspiracy, no matter how outlandish it may be. The way our politics is runing right now I would say that the odds for having a second Constitutional Convention with a resulting fragmentation into 3 or more separate nations is a higher probability than forming an even bigger nation.

Hey, there goes Elvis.

Yeah, this ran last week...
Maybe he just wants us to report on all the news coverage we've been receiving about this historic "meeting" up in Canada.

I hear they're talking about jelly beans? Give me a break!

Building That Bridge Through Kansas
"Townhall.com was launched in 1995 as the first conservative web community." Well, it sure has gone down hill since then. Medved, how did you get on a conservative web site? Huffington won"t let you post one of your silly articles there? NAFTA was the go ahead for all of this and it was pushed by both Demos and Rhinos so I guess that puts you in the middle. I believe it. No I don't believe it. Wherever you are storing yourself these days, you should get away from there for a while.

Hello
I don't go in for conspiracy theories--but as many posters have said--where there's smoke there's fire. I would also like to add--the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And to Medved--me thinks thou dost protest too much.

Only Fools or Liars could deny...
the emergence of the North American Union.

"Free Trade" is the central mantra as globalization is set against national Sovereignty, closed borders, trade tarrifs and anything that would restrict its goals and methods used to achieve them.

Globalization promotes regional and global government, a one-world economic system of trade and a form of fascism where global corporations and their elite control the policies and directives of individual governments.

By facilitating trade Michael, the trade agreements themselves act as the precursor to initiate a massive governing body over the regionalized territories.

Once this governing body is in full force, our current federal government will be as impotent as our individual state governments have become because they cannot function without federal dollars. How many times have we heard that the state might lose it's federal money if it doesn't implement policy "y".

Trade agreements will lead to oversight, oversight will bring about a governing structure and a mechanism for legal disputes. Once those are established our borders, and yes, our national sovereignty becomes a thing of the past as the new government will deny funds to those territories who dont meet policy "x".

It took Europe over 50 years to implement the EU.

Vote in constitutionally minded individuals who will put a stop to this right now.

Take back your country by the ballot box before we have to resort to the cartridge box.

Which are you Michael, the fool or the liar?

A superslab in process
__Think about the "Super Slab highway" proposal issued to Colorado in,I believe 2006.This is from, http://www.superslab.org/thefacts.html "Keep in mind, this is a "private toll road." It is being built by private investors to make a profit. They will be building restaurants and gas stations (that they will own) every few miles (called "Service Pods") to help rake in a little more cash. The speed limit will be 85 MPH and the company gets to keep all speeding fines!" I believe it would be well worth everyones time to go to this site and see who's making the money. Could this be a part of a one leg at a time strategy, with future words from North American union proponents saying,"This highway will be no problem,we already have conections in place."

Medved is for open borders
Whose water is Medved carrying? If we dug a little deeper I guarantee we'd find some angle, probably financial. Just like Linda Chavez and her giant janitorial services company.

Shut up, Medved, you're not funny. You have no following.

In Just Goes to Show
When you shake a tree you get lots of nuts.

Internet Hunting
I never did understand the aversion to internet hunting. What do they have against giving the handicapped an opportunity to participate in a legal activity that is an important tool to wildlife management? Any farmer would tell you this is a good thing. Did you know that the typical deer eats 8 to 10 pounds of food everyday? That is crop that doesn’t make it to market. As far as they are concerned, deer are very large rats and the more you kill the better. Not only that, their meat is an excellent protein source and low in fat.

I’ve killed hundred of deer, up close and personal. I’ve feed hundreds of hungry poor souls through Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry and other charitable endeavors. I’ve used sticks and strings (bow and arrow), crossbows, shotguns, rifles and muzzle loaders. Shot them from the ground and from aloft in trees. What does technology have to do with it?

The example of the ability of legislators to ban this internet activity (that doesn’t exist) is merely another proof of the foolishness of that infects the minds of these fine fellows once they have arrived. It has amazed thinking men from the founding of our nation. Honesty and common sense seem to be prohibited character traits in Congress.

more name calling
Poor Michael. Again more name calling towards those he disagrees with, rather than providing some FACTS to convince readers. I have no idea if there are North American Union plans or not. But after this column I still don't. He provides no evidence, just name calling.

Oh, and talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Mr Medved is a guy who for "religious reasons" won't use electronic devices on the sabbath or other holy periods. So when he goes to a hotel, he inserts cardboard in the electronic door lock to deactivate it. He doesn't stay home and pray and study, he still goes and does talk show conventions, thinking not a wit about religion, but he obeys some silly rule that was written long before anything electronic even existed. Now who's the nutty one?

Medved has become a name calling punk, devoid of creative ideas and a shill for the establishment de-jour. What a shame.

What is this NAU?
I often wondered if there is any substance to this idea or not. I keep hearing about it over and over again. If it is true these types of secret negotiations are not appropriate. Someone mentioned that they do not believe the dems would give up our soviernty I believe that a good number of them would. When we get into conflicts they want the UN to make a decision for us. A good number of dems that we have today would have been called communists in the past.

I just watched the documentary...
The Real Face of the European Union.

I would encourage each and every one of you to do the same. After doing so, consider NAFTA, CAFTA, and the SPP.

Schlafly vs Medved
Let's see.. the woman who single-handedly stopped the ERA vs a washed-up film critic. I think I'll side with Phyllis on this one! Stop the NAU jugernaut before it's too late!

Deja Vou

What in the Hail Mary is this article doing back here a week later.

Is that all Medved is good for, filler material for TH.??. I guess we don't need to answer that one.

It sure isn't here because it is so thought provoking or filled with wondrous information.

It's puke time.

4Bear I'm kind of divided.
__On the internet hunt. When I was a boy my father always took me with him during various hunting seasons. I learned so much, concerning our natural resources, its ability to provide.Learned the fair game rules, hunting ethics, proper use of firearms, the joys, and trials,of putting meat on the table.I've carried those lessons with me for a good many years. For the past 26 years I have been severely limited in those abilities, but I still get into the field.Maybe not as far,and definately without the "bird in hand" results of a true stalk.I,still, greatly enjoy the game of the hunt, has I enjoy the game.Besides not being able to afford the price of an internet hunt,I just have a difficult time saying I would do it. For many disabled I would say this is a good idea, but needs strict control. Heck,I see people, with handicap tags, sprint to their cars in handicapped parking.I imagine they feel good about getting a front row seat,as this disabled person makes himself walk,as he is not going to succumb. Why in the heck should I pay extra money for the privelege of being disabled? Never could figure that one out.

Stop the Insanity
You folks seriously need to get a grip. I have heard this North American Union fantasy spouted for years. The thing is, in the past it was spouted by people who think a thousand year old Jewish/Zionist cabal has been working behind the scenes to take over the world.

Unfortunately, too many otherwise intelligent people have bought into this nonsense because they read some article, or went to an internet sight. Frankly people, "compelling evidence" does not convince me nearly as easily as it once did. And the NAFTA superhighway, is not compelling evidence of anything, other than the highway system of this country being hopelessly outdated. Tell you what kids, at some point this, "secret consperacy" will need to be made public by those you claim want a NAU. When that happens, let the rest of us know.

Sheesh

NAU AND AGENDA 21
Medved asks: We ALL back American Sovereignty don't we? Ans: NO. Elite globalists have betrayed our heritage of freedom and deceived the people with promises of Peace and Prosperity beginning with the United Nations. The North American Union is a product of UN Agenda 21, just one piece in the Gigantic puzzle is the Resettlement Project. How to reduce resistance to such schemes as NAU? 1. Have wars and "resettle" refugees. 2. Educate that diversity of cultures is a "good" thing. 3. Label people who do not agree as racist, bigots,Nazis etc.
4. Open borders. 5. Promote abortion among the native born. Once these things are accomplished the nation will be populated with people accustomed to limited freedom and allegiance to other countries; therefore, willing to be "ASSIMILATED INTO A WORLD ORDER" rather than a national identity. What to do?

Sorry Medved
Dobbs has infinately more cred than you do. Granted, we can't just take everything he says as gospel, but his ability to see trouble right under his nose while you dismiss the same trouble as "progress" puts your credibility, which I can hear right now in the basement banging a shovel on the concrete, to shame.

I used to dismiss the so-called loons, Medved, but much of what a few of them told me a decade ago has come true.

Do you have Bank of Amigo as your Direct Deposit for those Bush Administration paychecks?

Medved Got It Right This Time
The fairy tale of the North American Union has been great combat for conspiracy theorists to yell "the sky is falling" for many years, now. It has gotten so nutty that any commercial convenience negotiated between nations is considered an afront to soverignty.

Medved?
Insanity is the condition of those who see the evidence but refuse to accept it. The Senate, Mostly Democrat and some RINO's, Attempted to destroy our Country by giving Illegal Alien Criminals, numbering upward of 25 million, Amnessty just recently. Bush openly supports Amnesty for these Criminals and the "Non-existence Superhyway." Wake up America, Medved has a short between the ears

You guys are so mean!
If I didn't know otherwise, I'd think I were on DailyKos or HuffPo or one of the other liberal blogs where measured argument is scarce and personal attacks reign supreme. You may disagree with Michael Medved here, but that doesn't make him a fair target for your unmitigated ridicule and cruel insults. Conservatives are better than that. At least, that's what we claim.

bob,I not so sure.
__This one world agenda has been on somebodies burner since the beginning of time.Human life has always sought individual security to promote lifes prosperity. In two seperate groups this has gone on since the world was populated. Those of religious belief seeking a one world society according to the laws of their god.To abide together in peace, and harmony. One group,a religious group, with an unseen god.The other religious group with a god that is seen, and held in their hands.Within those two groups, are many individual groups, with their one world agenda.Choose the one you want. This argument will continue until the end of time.It will either hasten that time,or become that time.

Let's say they were killing
thousands of kittens via internet hunting in, say France. Would Medved say that internet hunting doesn't exist becuase there are none killed here?

Would he deny that the highly profitable "Kill A Kitten Co." (brought to you by the build a bear co.)would offer its products to Americans?

I would like to know if Michael approves of the underbelly of the EU that forces it's member-states to legalize abortion. Or it's courts that have determined the state has the ultimate authority to educate children and jail parents who attempt to homeschool?

Can an EUesque situation never happen in the US? Or does Michael just not care if it does?
I would like to know if Michael denies that the left, the media, and hollywood have been at best unpatriotic, and at worst America haters for several decades now?

Did John Kerry not advocate a "Global Test" for America's self-defense?

Haven't we been hearing from all the Dems how we need to "restore our place of respect" throughout the world?

Did we not almost speed pass a 900+ page bill that would legalize all Mexicans now living in the US? But weren't we told that we just didnt understand the bill? That it really was a comprehensive bill that focused on border enforcement?

Were all the Americans who fought against this bill - conspiracy theorists becuase they failed to buy the official line?

Aren't we now being bombarded by the threat of Global Warming: an imaginary global problem that requires a global solution, and global oversight?

WorldNutDaily, once-reputable?
MM, perhaps you forget about the Y2K paranoia that site was pushing (along, not coincidentally, with plenty of advertisements for things that would allow you to survive the "apocalypse".)

The sneering attitude by medved
Towards the questioning of the NAU, SPP,speaks louder than any thing that comes out of his foamy frothing of the mouth.

He directs his sneering attitude towards the honest questioning of the very real subject that has created the questions.(as if its been pulled out of thin air comparing it to "internet hunting".)

Cause DC has earned the trust of us all, caring more for us children than we care for ourselves.

And just because GW Bush is meeting behind closed doors and not allowing any Press that asks hard questions concerning this "internet hunt" is meaningless when we all know that anything coming out of DC is as pure as fine gold.

The sneering, mocking attitude in his statements says it all for me.

quote:
"The quick withdrawal of the “live-shot” idea didn’t stop the Humane Society from declaring internet hunting a “sickening reality” and beginning its nationwide drive for legislative bans (and, not coincidentally, contributions from alarmed citizens)"

We alarmists like me just need to rest assured GW Bush just hides his meetings with two other nations leaders for my own good.
He is above suspicion and what the heck, no need to open this topic up to all citizens and take a vote on his plans, just accept our fate and trust to the goodness of our great white father, GW Bush.

I will just forget what this man said as just another example of "internet hunting".

"Our country is too large to have all its affairs directed by a single government. Public servants at such a distance, and from under the eye of their constituents, must, from the circumstance of distance, be unable to administer and overlook all the details necessary for the good government of the citizens; and the same circumstance, by rendering detection impossible to their constituents, will invite public agents to corruption, plunder and waste." --Thomas Jefferson to Gideon Granger, 1800. ME 10:167

Absolutely alarmist
To be questioning the integrity and above suspicion openness of complete honesty and goodness for all coming out of Washington DC.

I feel convicted before medveds soothing voice full of comfort in explaining for my own simple minded lack of trust in the swelling sweetness of the heavenly dew he is here to bestow upon us lessor ingrates.

WAG THE DOG DEMOCRATS..

Simply put, these liberal-progressive clowns will invent anything, and claim "moral" victory.

Access
It appears that Medved would prefer to remain on the special invite list for Radio hosts and columnists that President Bush keeps for when he feels it necessary to throw water on the growing crowds of disgruntled conservatives. Anyone who takes Hannity, Medved, and Rush for something besides entertainment should have their head examined.

Writing columns like this keeps book contracts coming despite flagging sales, generates speaking engagements inside the beltway, and keeps invitations from CFR, RNC, National Press Club, major networks, etc., coming into the office.

NAU Is A Fairy Tale Battle, Not Real
JHS offers, "Can an EUesque situation never happen in the US? Or does Michael just not care if it does?"

Europe had a completely different problem. Even so, it took many years of debate and ratifications. Let me know when it comes to at least a debate, much less a vote of ratification. Until then, jousting at windmills is simply a waste of time.

Thank you sir

For your comforting and deeply relieving assurances.

“We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth and listen to the song of that syren, till she transforms us into beasts... I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.” —Patrick Henry

NAU, the fairy tale
I see it all now,all these groups are formed for sleepy time outs.

"Since March, 2005, under the direction of three senior cabinet ministers of each country, about 100 working groups of unelected officials from government and industry have been meeting at taxpayer expense deciding on and directing the implementation of the restructuring of the apparatus of governance and the form of rule over the people.

Their command goes out down the chain of bureaucracy expending vast amounts of taxpayer dollars implementing the changes in our border crossings, in our airports, on our airplanes, in our skies, on and to our roads and highways, in our personal identification systems, in our health, in our vaccines, over our food supplements, in our pesticide safety levels, in our schools and universities, in the exploitation of our natural resources-our rivers, lakes, oil, gas, in our environment, in the arms industry, in the manufacture and use of depleted uranium, in the exploitation of and experimentation on our indigenous people and our military personnel, in immigration, over our right of Habeus Corpus, in our right of due process, our right to assemble and our freedom of speech, etc., etc.

Shame on you Michael
What a load of crap. I expected better from Medved. Now I can see he is no better than the leftist demothugs. How can a non-issue be linked with something that has so much evidence of being at least very well thought out and many hours of meetings and work put in to planning methodologies for implementation. The NORTH AMERICA’S SUPERHIGHWAY COALITION TRANSPORTATION FORUM really did happen in 2004 and the superhighway was a part of NAFTA that we have yet to implement. It all makes good sense to build "superhighways to move goods through our country and Canada and Mexico. In that respect it is working for the economic future of America.
But if it is being used to disguise an attempt to promote a North American Union then I think we all need to be aware of it.
And why would you believe a government website to "dispel a myth"(as one commentor stated)? That's just plain stupid.
I don't know if the NAU is real or not but there is a growing amount of evidence that something is going on. I've read the report from the Council On Foreign Relations http://www.cfr.org/content/publications/attachments/NorthAmerica_TF_eng.pdf and it looks really frightening. The report is a combination of the CFR, Canadian Council of Chief Executives and
Consejo Mexicano de Asuntos Internacionales. It is a proposal for forming an economic partnership to present a larger world presence to China, the European Union, et. al. It all sounds like a great idea especially when you read that each country retains is own independence. Yet it states "Our vision of North America is one three sovereign states whose formal collaboration must reflect their mutual interdependence while respecting their differences." So how are these three "states" going to share their security, economic and environmental laws? Won't that be like the states do with the federal government?
Part 1

Part 2
There is now so much information on this subject to belie the notion that it is a "non-issue". For example check out the Amero website http://www.amerocurrency.com/index.html
I don't believe that this is totally without foundation and I'm glad that state legislators and "the benighted" Virgil Goode and other members of congress have introduced legislation to block NAU.
Michael,
you did yourself and your listeners/readers a disservice in your less than professional article on a serious subject. In this subject you and Hugh Hewitt may be sorely mistaken although I am praying that I am the one who is wrong. If I am I will apologize when the time comes when I'm proven wrong and I will apologize with great happiness.

Well Chris
I feel humbled now that you explain it all for me.

I should have known truth was at the bottom of the list for me and all of us alarmists.

Even though the "North American Union" is the subject being talked about by over 100 independent groups.

Such as this one http://www.csis.org/

This one: http://www.cfr.org/publication/8102/

Can you explain why these groups are all talking about a North American Union?

Surely you can explain this for my edification WHY these folks would talk of this subject even if its a fairy tale.

How does one achieve such love of the truth as you clearly demonstrate Chris?

NAU, H2A's, & POE's
North American Union is a plan put forth back in the mid 90's. It is at this stage just a bunch of Ivy League alumni coffee house talk. But such things do have a way of coming to pass. NAFTA and "Immigration reform" does seem to move things in the direction of NAU...and didn't Bush just meet with the PM of Canada and El Presidente de Mexico for french fries and mayo washed down with a Dos XX. While I'm on immigration reform, go checkout what a H2A visa is (here's a clue the A is for Ag workers). And OBTW the H2B visa is for any other temporary worker not covered by another visa. So from where I sit we already have a guest worker program. So why do we need a new guest worker program, or do we need to simply legalize the scofflaws.

As for Kansas being a Port, that is a port of entry (POE), I seem to recall a new fangled flying machine that can fly from Europe to Kansas City non stop. What will they think of next. So with EU types coming directly from the fatherland they will clear customs and immigration at the first Port of Entry...Kansas City International AirPORT, sorry no boats allowed.

Except for this Simon
Simon Potter writes:

It all makes good sense to build "superhighways to move goods through our country and Canada and Mexico. In that respect it is working for the economic future of America.
---------

It by-passes American Ports to bring it into the USA through Mexico, putting Mexicans to work and laying off American Port workers and truckers.

Very good for Mexico and the bottom line profits for the corporations who are running America now.

In America, Groups Are Free To Talk
Talent Scout asks, "Can you explain why these groups are all talking about a North American Union?"

Because this is America, anyone can talk about anything they want. We are not a dictatorship. Government agencies and businesses investigate ideas everyday that are nothing more than fancifull dreams. It is how things get learned.

If you think the idea is a bad idea, go to the meetings and speak up and stop grousing around as if someone is plotting against you. Every meeting is in the papers and anyone is invited to say their thoughts.

Even so, nothing can be done without it going through Washington and that is a long painful process. So far, it has not gotten enough traction to get to Washington. It is still someone's dream. Let me know when it goes to Washington.

Despite its inland address, Kansas City, Missouri, will soon be home to the first ever foreign customs inspection office on United States soil; a new Mexican Customs Clearance Facility, and thus an expanded international trade corridor between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada is poised to open next year with Kansas City as the focal hub.""

Criminal Programmer Industry
Why not put the blame where it belongs, on the computer programmer, some of the most hateful and crime ridden people in the world.

Why do you think the TH page is so difficult to use? Because it was designed by a programmer.

If you can find a programmer who cares about the customer or the user, it could be made much easier. For TH, for example, why is it necessary to click this and that, several times, and for the TH computers to make several searches, and transmit billions of unneeded characters, if not for stupid programmers. When you click on a story, why not get the whole story with comments?

And remember there would be no internet hunting without the criminal element of the programmer industry.

How do I know this? Well over 50 years ago I helped hire and train some of the first couple of thousand people who ever heard of a computer. It was amazing to see the change in the person, when they caught the electronic disease. In those days we loved those kind, as we were learning what a computer could do. And since none of the dozen computers in the world were connected to anything, they could not destroy things, they were learning.

These days the hate, the carelessness, the uncaring for what the user needs, just continues to give us what we don’t need. Whether extra clicking and transmitting of data for TH, or the prono, the hate, the Sewer sounds of the Garbage Generation.

Just so you KNOW

The north American Union is very real, and well on it's way. It will not immediately do away with the three nations. That is farther down the road, BUT that is coming too.

Just as Europe is waking up to reality, The United States of America, Canada and the Mexican United States will soon be little more than States under one constitution, each with it's flag and congress, but also under a non elected triumvirate of cabal type SUPER leaders and a new set of rules and laws.

Your state has it's own flag and congress doesn't it.??. That's what it is proposed to be like.

Remember states rights.??. Do you think the new member nations will have better luck than the states have had.??.

Oh, by the way. You noticed the name of MEXICO as stated above.??. The Mexican United States; not too many people are aware that this is their full and correct name. Los Estados Unidos Mexicanos.

Because this is America, anyone can talk about anything they want. We are not a dictatorship. Government agencies and businesses investigate ideas everyday that are nothing more than fancifull dreams. It is how things get learned.-------------------------------
ta:
OK, but this is exactly what I am doing Mac.

Just talking as they are.
Objecting to objections and taking this same liberty to talk, just like you.

Mac Moore writes:

If you think the idea is a bad idea, go to the meetings and speak up and stop grousing around as if someone is plotting against you. Every meeting is in the papers and anyone is invited to say their thoughts.

ta:
Disappointed at you Mac for talking out of both sides of your mouth.

You just spoke of the liberty to talk, now you want to stop me talking?
All in one post too.-

Mac Moore writes:
Even so, nothing can be done without it going through Washington and that is a long painful process. So far, it has not gotten enough traction to get to Washington. It is still someone's dream. Let me know when it goes to Washington.

Ok Mac

Seeing that the President is the representative between me and DC as spokesman, he is talking about this with Mexico and Canada, not me.
How much closer can it be to DC than the President Mac?
Or the Congressmen talking about it?

Lets talk Mac, no harm in talking is there?

Medved no swashbuckler
“Of course, our elected representatives may look a bit silly wasting their legislative energy trying to counteract a plan that no one supports, but no sillier, certainly, than the pompous and paranoid media demagogues”

Silly? What is really silly? -- Medved misses the point. Its fictional, yea right, until they establish the “workgroups”, i.e. unelected bureaucracy to hold down the fort. (to thrust IT into perpetual motion) At that point, what Washington political wheel will destroy it? Rather they’ll coddle the prospect of congressional oversight over such a “fictional animal”. We know the parasite of oversight can do no wrong. Works for them… be they Republican, Democrats, sadistic freaks, or rabid wild DC bores. Show me one that wants to refuse an old-fashioned usurpation if given the chance. Worse yet, Bush chuckles at where do people get these ideas. Read the CFR recomemdations they appear to be following.(he he, shrug) And once corporatist big-game hunters are on board -- have a good seat at the table -- all that is needed is the perpetual fuel from DC. Beyond pork, bureaucracy ranks high on their preferred diet.

Doesn't anyone read the Constitution?
The only legal way that a North American Union could take effect is for one of two things to happen:

Either (a) Canadian and Mexican provinces are admitted to the United States by Act of Congress, the same way the Texas Republic was. That means they become subject to US law and the Constitution. Actually, I think that is a possible result if Quebec ever acts on its threat to secede from Canada, at least for the western provinces. The US tried to conquer Canada in the War of 1812, so what's wrong with taking it over voluntarily? In the 1847 War with Mexico, the US acquired what is now California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and parts of Colorado. We seem to be better off for it. Clearly a lot of Mexicans wish the line had been pushed further south. In any case, this would require acts of Congress, plus a signature by the president, so would take interminable amounts of time, during which you will certainly be notified of it and be able to inundate your congressman with mail.

(b) The US Constitution is amended. This takes 2/3 of both the Senate and the House, plus 3/4 of all the states. It takes a while, during which you will be notified of the process and be able to affect the outcome.

Since neither a bill to admit a new state has been introduced in Congress, nor has a proposed constitutional amendment along this line, an NAU is not legally possible under the US Constitution.

To distasteful to swallow bs
Dished out by medved and the globalists.

Takes very little powers of observation to realize that over 100 seperate groups are working on and planning for a North American Union.

As if they all independently came to such an idea seperately, and without influence, ha ha.

These same people probably criticize tele-evangelists cry for money.

NAU or not, there IS a concern
To be honest, I have no solid opinion on the NAU. Suspicions and theories do not a conspiracy make, so in my mind, the jury is still out.

However, the idea of a "one world government" is real. It is one of the basic tenets of many democratic leaders. One needs look no farther than terms like, "Global Village", and ideas like, "It takes a village to raise a child." Let's face it - socialism isn't much good if only one nation practices it. In the liberal mind, the concepts of socialism must be spread throughout the world in order to be truly effective.

Is it the idea of a united world order an actual "conspiracy"? I wouldn't say that it is a conspiracy in fact as yet, but rest assured that it IS a conspiracy of thought, and it comes from democrats like Hillary and Obama. If you really want to ensure America's sovereignty, simply don't vote for a Democrat.

Coltakashi
Our constitution would be first circumvented and then swallowed whole by treaty.

Look I am no conspiracy theorist, and have often scoffed at the new worlders. I still don't know if I believe any of this stuff or not. But i have recently read things written in the past that describe the present. I see what is happening in Europe.

Arguments that this can't be done becuase of the constitution are naive becuase the constitution is breached every day and we don't know it until a group of men decide it. It's been twisted enough to know that the clarity, truth and logic of its text do not protect it.

Arguments that because Americans dont want a NAU it can't happen are even more naive. The will of the people is subverted every day.

Arguments that we shouldnt worry about it until there is a bill before congress ceding our sovereignty are most naive. In all liklihood the bill will never come, and if it does it may very well be too late.

I don' know if it is a hoax or not but to pretend the possibility doesnt exist is to either intentionally decieve or to recklessly disregard the evidence.

I've heard this song before
Back in the 50s "we don't want your daughters, we just want an education!"... they didn't get the education, but they got the daughters.

Back in the 80s, "nobody wants unisex bathrooms." Now, thanks to Hollyweird constantly putting members of one sex in the other's bathrooms in movies and on tv...

Also back in the 80s, the idea of women in combat zones was scoffed at.

There are a lot of ideas that at one time were scoffed at, and then came, not only to pass, but came to pass with widespread acceptance (after enough years of brainwashing.)

The members of the United States, up until 1865, were sovereign states. That is to say, each State was a nation. That is why each State was required to provide for its citizens a Republican form of gov't as a precondition for acceptance.

Now, the Nat'l Guard is just another branch of the federal standing army (the one we're not supposed to have,) and the individual States are treated and thought-of as simply provinces.

It is not a stretch at all to see the combining of Canada, the U.S. and Mexico into first an economic bloc, and then a political entity.

And it will be no more a conspiracy to do so than it was to integrate the races or put females in combat zones.

There's a scene in the movie "Tequila Sunrise", where a drug dealer is trying to convince his associate to kill a woman the associate loves. When the associate asks, "what if I don't want her killed?" the drug dealer replies, "then we'll stay here until you change your mind."

This is how these things are accomplished. "If we can't get our way today, we'll just continue the propoganda campaign for generations if necessary until enough people have been brainwashed or wearied that we can have our way."

Ixalmida

"If you really want to ensure America's sovereignty, simply don't vote for a Democrat."

Bush is laying the foundation (not that it is only him). So far, he’s for securing borders in Mid East countries – just not here. The lines are blurred….what is fracturing the right.

They'll be so much spin on the NAU, by the time its reality, that it'll look like cotton candy.

Seem to even know what the word conspiracy means.

Probably the ones who complain loudest about the public school system, not that that is above reproach.

Law. An agreement between two or more persons to commit a crime or accomplish a legal purpose through illegal action.

A joining or acting together, as if by sinister design: a conspiracy of wind and tide that devastated coastal areas.

Wind and tide are guilty at times of conspiracy.

If the United States Constitution is the Law of the land, then any plan that tries to accomplish more than it allows is a conspiracy against it.

Who in the **** ever gave conspiracy such a bad name anyway?

Bankers ? Politicians? Monopolists?

Weak, very weak. Next time compare reports of leprechauns crossing the border to reports of armed Mexican thugs crossing the border to make light of the truth. Mr. Medved has been a loyal water-carrier for the Bush cabal and this new screed should surprise noone.

The "other side" conspiracists, are quit nasty: NAU butt kissers, brown nosers? Sure sign that an argument can't hold its weight when those who resort to tactics like that are intellectually dishonest.

pianogirl promoting Ron Paul, DoctorO is thanking God for Lou Dobbs. God I hope neither of these two represent conservatives. Neither represents me.

Some quote Phyllis Schlaffly, but the problem with her is she speaks outside of her expertise everytime she wanders into the field of economics. Lets see: Do I buy into arguments from Walter Williams or Phyllis Schlaffly. Sorry, Walter Williams hands down. Plus, she is guided by her end time escatology, that she is under the delusion everything is going to hell in a handbasket, and the antichrist is alive and well on planet earth...he will probably take over her one world government after Jesus raptures his church. I have fallen out with that line of escatological belief, but I still respect her stance on liberty, and minimizing government in our lives.

Ialmilda claims one world government is real. Well, I have news for you. Like Marxism is real, it has been tried, over and over again, and every time it has failed. You can start with the tower of Babel, the Roman Empire, the the Third Reich for examples.

Again, Lodestar has a link to a whitehouse press release on "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America Prosperity Agenda". Big whoop, trying to increase efficiency and raise prosperity. In fact, that is what the SPP is about too. Whoo-hoo....boogey man.

Is this the best the conspriacy advocates can do.

Medved is a shill
He's just another trans-national Jew promoting the Jewish political agenda which happens to be globalism, diversity and income redistribution for all nations except their own (Israel).

Listen to his radio show, it's continuous Jewish propaganda, it's not a conspiracy, it's a fact, reality.

The media propaganda machine is running full blast, now they're trying to make the case that their published goals & actions are a "fiction" of "conspiracy theorists" along with our declining dollar, tens of millions of illegal immigrants, trillions in foriegn debt and $83.9 trillion of federal debt & unfunded liabilites-all accumulated in the last 20 years, in 10 years the Peso will be worth more than a dollar.

"It's a conspiracy theory"

Ya right http://www.dallasfed.org/news/speeches/fisher/2007/fs070416.cfm

Generally speaking conspiracies don't have governmental entities documentating their goals, plans & effects consistent with the conspiracy.

If we need this giant road system why aren't we paying for & owning it?

If we can't afford to own it how does an additional layer of foreign ownership financing & taxes help defer or lessen the costs? It doesn't, it's a control issue, he who controls the China trade will have the ability to annihilate any business or nation it chooses, nobody can compete with conscripted slave labor, stolen assets & no environmental regulations.

No business will be able to withstand the monopoly power of Chinese production combined with a foreign owned monopoly trade artery cheaper than all others, it's will be "Join us or go bankrupt" to virtually every business in America, try & side step the monopoly artery & find yourself stuck in gridlock.

That y2k bug was stupid. We had suffered through that as we went from ‘49 to ‘50 and from 59’ to ‘60, since we only had one digit for date. At y2k they had been using 2 digit dates for many years. There were of course a million more computers, and 10 million more computer jobs. Without going into all the pages of description, during the ‘60s and ‘70s we designed computer jobs with y2k in mind, and we KNEW that by then all these old systems and programs would have to redesigned and rewritten.

Well, the thing that happened was that computer speed increased so much in the ‘80s and ‘90s and they ran the old programs fast enough, so that a rewrite was not as necessary as expected 20 to 30 years earlier.

And on and on.

NAU Is Not On The President's Agenda
Talent Scout, as to NAU, says, "Seeing that the President is the representative between me and DC as spokesman, he is talking about this with Mexico and Canada"

Now, that is a big flight of fantasy. NAU would be a Constitutional change. He only has a year and some months left in office. The President couldn't even get an approval for a righteous change in the Social Security world. The odds of him changing the Constitution is completely off the charts.

The President could not even get an immigration bill passed that he had been promising for nearly 8 years. But, you somehow think he will be able create a North American Union. Fantasy, absolute fantasy.

heresyarch / chris
I was an economic conservative before I was a social conservative. I preached Reaganomics to the laughter of the liberals in law school. I still do preach it. I preached free trade at the same time.

I am now both an econmic conservative and a social conservative. I would therefore gladly preach free trade and pro-life at the same time. Both are important cogs in a great and free society.

I didn't imagine these ideals could ever be in conflict.

But here is an article describing the EU's condemnation of America's determination that a particular U.N. resolution doesn't protect a womans right to abortion? If these unions are about free trade then why are they condemning a pro-life stance?

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/20616.php

Better yet here is one article advocating making abortion an EU right so strong that member nations must perform them.

http://www.womensenews.org/article.cfm/dyn/aid/2809/

Why does the UN and EU need to determine Polands abortion policy? These articles I just now found, and they are liberal articles - not from conspiracy groups. There are many many more like them.

Continued
I would also gladly preach free trade and school choice as I think both are important in a great and free society.

I didnt imagine that these ideals could ever be in conflict.

But here is an article about the EU's updholding the criminalization of homeschooling in Germany.

http://www.brusselsjournal.com/node/1389

and here is one describing the sex ed run amok that the EU may very well determine is the "right" of every child to endure.

http://www.brusselsjournal.com/node/533

I remain all for free trade. But free trade is being used as loss leader for baby killing the way workers rights is used to promote communisim. I would rather have the babies thank you very much.

If you are OK with the baby killing and think that is the only liberal/socialist/communist policy that we will be forced into by the free trade agreements we enter into - then great. If you think the EU is too far removed from the US -then great.

But do realize that real conservatives who are not wack jobs and who disavow every other conspiracy theory - are worried about this. Know that conservatives are for free trade, but liberals are for big governments and an NAU would be a big government. A government big enough to give you everything you want...

or take away everything you have

Anybody?

JHS...
Thanks for your thoughtful response.

I did a reply and lost my original response so I will try again. This will be my last attempt tonight.

Medved's point is that there are bigger and more important things to fight about. Not some "phantom" NAU. The government can't keep a secret, yet I doubt you can even point me to the orginal architects plan of this union.

As to subverting our constitutional rights, its gotta be a real problem that the NAU is only in 2010 around the corner, and that George Bush appointed a bunch of contitutional traditionalists to the Surpreme Court. If anyone will protect our rights as Americans, I hold out hope for them. But with Babs Ginsburg down to her last years, I expect that this has pushed a NAU, and its Amero, much further out, if it will ever occur.

And yes, I worry about things such as homeschooling (I homeschool my children), and I am anti-abortion. But it doesn't have to take a NAU to be denied rights, whether life or homeschooling, now does it. Homeschooling is under attack right now, and abortion is pretty much taking the lives of 1.5mil or so babies a year....all without the NAU being in existence.

For the record, I only called the 911 conspiracists, nut jobs. I try to be respectful to the NAU conspiracists.

Robert A. Pastor

Take this comment to heart and read up on Robert Pastor.
He is left of Lenin in my judgment after reading his plans for the North American "Community".

From February 1975 to January 1977, Dr. Pastor was executive director of the Linowitz Commission on U.S./Latin American Relations. The Linowitz Commission supported President Carter’s decision to negotiate a treaty to turn over the Panama Canal to Panama. Pastor left the Linowitz Commission to join become director of the Office of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs in the National Security Council in the Carter White House. There Pastor served as Carter’s “point man” in getting the Senate to narrowly vote for the Carter-Torrijos Treaty on April 18, 1978, despite staunch objections from conservative politicians including Ronald Reagan.

There are no conservative US Constitution loving members in the list.

Who do you think benefits from cheap foreign products.....Jeez, get a brain. The CONSUMER. If consumers pay less for cheap goods, they have more money left over for other economic choices.
Who is the consumer? Americans. Two sides of the coin you have to consider.

We could go back to being an agrarian society where it took 1.5 farmers to feed 2 people, if it meant more (farming) jobs but I prefer the system having 1.5 farmers feed 500 people, freeing others 374 farmers up to persue other economic opportunities....like building IPODS and designing new operating systems.

Now you can go and buy a $10000, HDTV, but I will prefer the world wide competition that has opened up the possibility of buying a $2000 HDTV.

An ''imminent threat to public decency?'

No matter how far afield the comments have gone on this thread, wrenching back to the issue upon which Mr. Medved predicated his column ("virtual" - vicarious - hunting by way of the Internet), we can observe:

"The puritan hated bear baiting, not because it gave pain to the bear, but because it gave pleasure to the spectators."

..-- Thomas B. Macaulay

Boban I sort of agree
Free trade has also become more of a conservative ideal becuase non-US countries have become the protectionists, thus making free trade more about them removing their tariffs against us than about us removing ours against them. In essence free trade becomes more conservative in the protectionist sense becuase we had progressed so far the way.

However, Free trade is and has always been consistent with the more pure forms of free market capitalism and laisez faire economics, both of which are conservative ideals.

Is there some level of protectionsim that is consistent with conservative economic policies? Yes, I think that can be true too.

JHS...
Totally disagree.....

If other countries want to set up protectionist measures, they can jump off the cliff...it only harms them. It doesn't mean we should follow suit and jump off the cliff after them.

Walter Williams illustrates the point very well with the cost of rice in Japan. I wish I could find that column of his, but I have to go....all for now.

Due to Lawyerese
Language used in the Nafta Agreement, the loopholes for by-passing the American Citizens rights to have any say
Example:

In the early 1990’s, NAFTA was sold to the American public as a vehicle to substantially increase the minor U.S. trade surplus with Mexico

Assertions like the bold claim made below by the Institute for International Economics in October 1993 were common:

“… with NAFTA, U.S. exports will continue to outstrip Mexican exports to the United States, leading to a U.S. trade surplus with Mexico of about $7 billion annually by 1995 … rising to $9 billion to $12 billion between the years 2000 and 2010.”

Mr. Chairman, eleven years after adoption of NAFTA the facts demonstrate that nothing could be further from the truth. The U.S. has gone from a $1.6 billion surplus with Mexico in 1993 to a stunning $48 billion deficit last year. From surpluses before NAFTA, we have gone to continuous deficits since.

Over this period, hundreds of U.S. factories have closed and relocated south of the border in order to take advantage of the low production costs in Mexico, while still enjoying free access to the valuable U.S. market. Even more troubling, the U.S. department of Labor reports that 1.8 million workers have filed for Trade Adjustment Assistance as result of NAFTA.

To compare
The pre manufacturing industrial rise in America over agricultural society to what Nafta and Cafta are is dishonest.

One came by natural ebb and flow of free markets and very little government influence.

The other is the unnatural policy making of elite corporations to increase profits for themselves.

Backed by the heavy hand of big government enforcement

Forget the NAU!!
The heck with the NAU...we may not even have a country with which to join other countries if the onslaught of impoverished third world people continues unabated. That's what Bush , Kennedy et al wanted....so what other reason did they have.? Anyone with a brain , be it left or right brain can see the country will no longer exist if these traitors are allowed to continue the erosion of law in this country.
This fact continues to be ignored by sneering Medved and others here who cannot explain the madness of this continued anarchy. The NAU may end up being the best alternative to what is happening at an escalating rate.

Robert Pastor, NA Union and the Amero
Robert Pastor, who was one of the authors of the CFR's blueprint, "Building a North American Union", has consistently denied in U.S. interviews that the intention was to create a North American Union.

However, here, in a 2002 presentation to the House of Commons, he said otherwise:
http://www.american.edu/ia/cnas/pdfs/PastorTestimonyCanada.pdf

"Is any of this feasible? Are North Americans prepared to give up their sovereignty? The term “sovereignty” is one of the most widely used, abused and least understood in the diplomatic lexicon. Within the last two decades, the three countries have so completedly redefined the term that one wonders whether any serious policymaker could use it to defend any position."

"The question is whether the people of the three countries are ready for a different relationship, and public opinion surveys suggest that the answer is “yes” and indeed, that the people are way ahead of their leaders. A survey of the attitudes of people in the three countries during the past twenty years demonstrate an extraordinary convergence of values – on personal and family issues as well as public policy."

"The most interesting surveys, however, show a majority of the public in all three countries prepared to join a larger North American country if they thought it would improve their standard of living and environment and not threaten their culture. Mexicans and Canadians do not want to be incorporated into the United States, and they ambivalent about adopting the American dollar, but they are more willing to become part of a single county of North America and of a unified currency, like the “Amero” proposed by Herbert Grubel. The “Amero” would be equivalent of the American dollar"

The NAFTA superhighway
It is happening right here, right now. The first leg of the NAFTA superhighway that is being denied is in Texas. Here, it is called the Trans-Texas Corridor. Amazingly, Oklahoma was being pushed to create such a highway in their state that would just so happen to meet up with the Texas' leg of the superhighway. I say "amazingly", because if you ask your governor, they deny this highway exists and so do my U.S. Senators. Furthermore, they claim that even if it is happening it is a state issue. I would have bought that, but...

When the Texas state legislature tried to pass a moratorium on this road being built, a high-ranking representative from the U.S. Dept of Transportation visited the state legislature TWICE to inform them that if they stopped this highway, then Texas would no longer receive highway funds. In the end Governor Perry vetoed the bill.

Did you also know that Giuliani's Law firm is who made the deal between Texas and the Spanish firm, Cintra who is building the roads and who will "manage" the roads for FIFTY years, receiving all proceeds from the tolls? Small world, isn't it? In the deal, Cintra sets the level of the tolls. The state legislation has requested full disclosure of all the "deals" Governor Perry made with Cintra, but to this day, they have not been released.

For those who do not believe there is a NAFTA Superhighway, look at this:

Until recently, the following was the graphic on their homepage:

A subset still exists on their website, here:

AreDNmYheaD
Don't be a fool. Robert Pastor, who was a key author of the CFR's blueprint, along with high-ranking members of Canada and Mexico, flat out ADMITS that this is the goal.

The NAFTA superhighway IS being built. Look around at http://www.nascocorridor.com This will be the biggest land grab in America's history and it is NOT sitting well with Texans.

Take a look at the SPP working documents that Judicial Watch, not to mention the Minutemen, were able to obtain. (links above)
---------
Bush agreed to the SPP without Congressional approval or oversight. Working groups have been working now for some time in "harmonizing", ie.. merging, our laws and regulations with Mexico and Canada.

Congress has still not been shown what he agreed to.

All - Part 1
This was something I posted during the time of the amnesty bill. However, from this, you should be able to see that the CFR's "Building a North American Community" IS being implemented through the SPP and their secretive working groups. Congress also tried to ram their buy-in to the SPP and the assoc. building of infrastructure in Mexico was in the recent amnesty bill. No, it didn't pass, but I can almost guarantee you, the language in this bill will popup in a future amnesty bill or will be added into another bill.

This is a recent clip from Lou Dobbs regarding the recent immigration bill:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_VGE0sy_UM

One of the many horrible thing in this bill was a fast track for President Bush’s Security and Prosperity Partnership. Recently, Judicial Watch reported that they had received more SPP working group documents from their FOIA requests. In one of these, they found a provision for U.S. tax dollars to be used to build roads and schools IN MEXICO. For those of you following this whole deal, you may remember that last year, John Cornyn (one of my Senators) introduced a bill to do the exact same thing.
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=51222

However, he let it die on the vine, so to speak, when it was pointed out to him that this verbiage was pulled DIRECTLY from the Council on Foreign Relations’ plan, “Building a North American Community”. http://www.cfr.org/content/publications/attachments/NorthAmerica_TF_final.pdf

All - Part 2
Some of you have brushed off what I’ve said, thinking that this could not be possible and even if the CFR wanted to do this, there was nothing in Congress. WELL NOW THERE IS. The SPP has had working groups established, “harmonizing” laws with Canada and Mexico and busy putting together the whole deal, all without Congressional oversight. If the immigration bill passes, the SPP will be brought to the light of day. Of course, if you would take the time to go to Judicial Watch and read some of the FOIA docs, you would already know.

“Among the specific deliverables outlined in the “work plan” is a taxpayer-supported program to improve Mexico’s infrastructure: “Improve North America’s competitiveness by enhancing Mexico’s competitive position through the establishment of a grant fund for development with U.S. and Canadian resources to finance the development of physical infrastructure in Mexico.” The objective has a timeline for completion of 6-18 months.
“If U.S. tax dollars are going to be used to fund Mexico’s economic development, the American people ought to know about it,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Judicial Watch remains committed to ensuring that this process is open and transparent.”” http://www.judicialwatch.org/6315.shtml

We are in deep crap, people, and unless we put an end to this and very soon, we’re not going to have a sovereign country much longer.

We'd better remember what made America great and remember it pretty darn soon. As others said above, we have gotten WAY off-track of what our Founders laid out for us. We are going to have to all make a decision very soon, whether we want collectivism (i.e. socialism) or whether we want LIBERTY.

All - Part 3
We are no longer a country, OF the people and BY the people. We have allowed a bunch of power hungry elites to grab control of OUR government. These people have the goal of world government and they are very close to achieving their goal. Before that can happen, America has to be brought down. Many of these people have said same in their memoirs through the years.

Note: FTAA (Free Trade of the Americas). They have had a hard time getting this managed trade agreement to pass, largely because of Chavez. After they do, we will become the 'American Union', not just the 'North American Union'

If you value the United States, our sovereignty, and our Constitution, I implore you to check some of this out.

heresyarch - Mac Moore

So there is no conspiracy. You are so sure of that.

Couldn't happen here in the U.S. of A. Right.??.

Just because the E.U. is going right ahead without the approval of several countries, why it doesn't mean a thing. So what if high level CFR's are working on the pieces. They can't do anything without the congress approving it, right.??.

Just because a large number of high ranking generals are members of the Council on Foreign Relations, and are PERFECTLY WILLING to seal off streets and cities and access to government when ever Jorge or our next president declare a high level state of emergency with temporary, but long lasting special powers that override all of your constitutional rights, why it doesn't mean a thing because it is for your own good that they take your rights away for, "A TIME".

So what if they control television and all radio broadcasting for a few months, and shut down the internet for our national SECURITY.

Don't believe any of that, right.??. Can I interest you in a bridge, I mean take your pick, any bridge you want.

Go back to sleep. We'll wake you after it's over. Maybe there is no conspiracy. Bet your children's future on that.??.

Bush's recent mtg. with Mexico+Canada
"The Coalition to Block the North American Union is made up of nearly one hundred U.S. leaders, including public policy advocates Phyllis Schlafly, Bay Buchanan, and L. Brent Bozell III. Speaking at the News Conference were Howard Phillips, Chairman of the Coalition and of The Conservative Caucus; Connie Fogal, leader of the Canadian Action Party; Tom DeWeese, President of the American Policy Center; John McManus, President of the John Birch Society; and Bob Park, Founder, Veterans for Secure Borders.

U.S. Congressman Virgil H. Goode (D-Virginia), the chief sponsor of House Concurrent Resolution 40, which opposes the North American Union and the NAFTA superhighway, participated in the News Conference via a video feed.

Popular entertainer, Pat Boone, presidential candidate U.S. Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas), and U.S. Congressman Walter B. Jones (R-North Carolina) also released statements at the news conference. "Our message is 'President Bush, President Calderon, Prime Minister Harper, tear down the wall of silence and let the people see what you are scheming to do,' explained Coalition Chairman Howard Phillips. "Behind closed doors, step by step, the leaders of Mexico, Canada, and the United States are setting the stage for, first, a North American Community and, ultimately, a North American Union (NAU), in which new transnational bodies would gain authority over our economy, our judiciary, and our lawmaking institutions."

Bush's recent mtg. with Mex+Canada pt 2
Tom DeWeese of the American Policy Center, warned: "Beware; Bonds between government and private international corporations are a double-edged sword. They come with government's power to tax, the government's power to enforce policy, and the government's power to enforce eminent domain... Such a process allows the private companies to be little more than government-sanctioned monopolies, answerable to no one. Their power is awesome and near absolute. Some call such policy corporatism. Another term would be corporate fascism."

"The American people don't want to tear up our Declaration of Independence. Nor do the people of Canada and Mexico want to cancel the independence of their nations," explains John F. McManus of the John Birch Society. "Roman Herzog, the former president of Germany, now realizes that Germany has essentially lost its independence to the EU bureaucrats in Brussels. The leaders of Canada, the United States, and Mexico will issue denials, but the hidden motive propelling them into creating the Security and Prosperity Partnership, is to advance one step closer to the centuries-old goal of a world government, also known as the New World Order."

"Congressman Walter B. Jones (R-North Carolina), an original sponsor of House Concurrent Resolution 40, which opposes the North American Union and the NAFTA Superhighway, said, in a statement to be released at the news conference that, "Article I, Section 8, of the U.S. Constitution explicitly states that Congress -- not the executive branch -- has the power to 'regulate commerce with foreign nations.' Many SPP working group meetings are held in secret and the public, the press, and members of Congress have no opportunity to participate or conduct oversight."
