Michael E. McBride retired as a Major from the Marine Corps in 1998. During his tenure in the Marine Corps he served in RF-4Bs as an Airborne Reconnaissance Officer; and F/A-18D Weapons and Sensors Officer; a leadership instructor at The Basic School, Quantico, VA; and a Requirements Officer, CINCPACFLT, Pearl Harbor, HI. He received his B.A in History from Tulane University in 1978, and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant immediately thereafter.
He is currently a Maintenance Manager for a forging company in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Major McBride has served in various advisory capacities for the State of Oregon, the Oregon Trail Chapter of the American Red Cross, and the Beaverton, OR School District. He has been previously been published in The Marine Corps Gazette, Naval Proceedings magazine, and Plant Engineering magazine.
