Do you feel the leaked information from a global warming alarmist organization is meaningful?

Cut through the doubletalk that obscures the financial mess in Washington and on Wall Street, and these points are obvious to everyone paying attention:

* Congress used the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to force banks to make risky loans to "help" people buy houses they could not afford.

* As early as 2001, President Bush and Republicans warned that Freddie and Fannie's financial house was unstable and could wreak havoc on the economy.

* Fannie and Freddie spent more than $200 million lobbying Congress to ignore the problem.

* Subservient Democrats, like Barney Frank, dutifully declared that Freddie and Fannie were safe and sound and blocked reform.

No one can dispute that Freddie and Fannie were certainly unsound. So, who pays for Congress' failure to reform? Taxpayers, of course: up to $4 trillion in lost savings and investments plus more than $1 trillion in new government debt.

Now Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid want us to believe that the financial fiasco is the fault of deregulation.

Poppycock.

In 1999, before George W. Bush took office, the New York Times' Steven Holmes reported that the Clinton administration was pressuring Fannie Mae to expand mortgage loans to "people with less-than-stellar credit ratings."

Through CRA, banks were strong-armed to make risky loans and threatened with fines of up to $500,000 per violation if they didn't reach government quotas. Banks were encouraged to hire "community groups," like ACORN, to find "qualified" borrowers.

Not surprisingly, when banks were offered the chance to dump those risky loans on Fannie and Freddie, they jumped at the chance.

Holmes reported, in 1999: "Fannie Mae is taking on significantly more risk, which may not pose any difficulties during flush economic times (but) . . . may run into trouble in an economic downturn, prompting a government rescue similar to that of the savings and loan industry in the 1980s."

In 2001, the Bush administration warned of "strong repercussions in the financial markets" if Fannie and Freddie encountered financial trouble. Treasury Secretary John Snow repeatedly warned that federal regulators didn't have enough authority to properly supervise Fannie and Freddie. As recently as August 2007, President Bush urged Congress "to get them reformed, get them streamlined, get them focused."

Democrats ignored those warnings:

Rep. Barney Frank said he did not want to "focus on safety and soundness . . . . I want to roll the dice a little bit more in this situation toward subsidized housing."

Rep. Maxine Waters claimed, "We do not have a crisis . . . Everything (in CRA) has worked just fine."

And Sen. Christopher Dodd, No. 1 recipient of Fannie and Freddie campaign cash, called them "great success stories."

Fannie and Freddie spent more than $200 million and employed over 140 lobbyists to avoid just the kind of scrutiny that Republicans urged. They throw around millions in campaign contributions, targeting key members of Senate and House finance and banking committees.

Ironically, Barack Obama doesn't sit on those committees, yet he ranks as the No. 2 recipient of Freddie and Fannie campaign cash after just four years in the Senate.

Last week, Associated Press reported that three years ago Freddie Mac even paid a consulting firm peel off enough GOP votes to kill a reform bill sponsored by Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel.

"What we're dealing with is an astounding failure of management" that was "driven clearly by self interest and greed," Hagel said.

With unanimous Republican support, Hagel's reform bill sailed through committee, but Freddie's lobbying fusillade found enough weak-kneed Republicans to help its loyal Democrats derail the bill.

Three years later, we cannot know if reforms proposed by Bush, Snow and Hagel would have averted the current crisis, but we certainly know that Fannie and Freddie's Democrat defenders were dead wrong.

Given Democrats' complicity in the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, it is utterly astounding that confused voters could actually reward them on Election Day.

You seem to be under the delusion that Fannie and Freddie caused these loans.

These loans were made, underwritten and sold by private sector institutions.

They were out on the market being sold irrespective of whether Fannie and Freddie existed or not.

Fannie and Freddie got into trouble, as did any other buyer, because they bought bogus mortgaged backed securities.

ALL buyers, including Fannie and Freddie got screwed by the fraud perpetrated by private mortgage lenders.

There is an argument that can be made that Fannie and Freddie exacerbated the problem by increading demand. But it is dubious. Demand for these things was extremely high. Fannie and Freddie got involved late in the process because they were losing market share. If Fannie and Freddie had not purchased the securities they bought, someone else would have.

As Ronald Reagan's economic advisor Bruce Bartlett clearly stated:

The primary agency responsible for keeping an eye on these things is, and should be, the Treasury Department, and I think the president erred in the first place by appointing two secretaries who had no background in finance."

Bush put somebody in charge of something who lacked what was needed for the job? No! When has that ever happened before?

Between 2004 to 2007, HUMMM,please identify by name and party who controlled congress during that time. You will get bonus points for correctly identifying the chairperson of the Banking Committee

Thanks

PS Get ready for that mandatory draft coming in early 09, if the Messiah gets in.I hear that Afghanistan is beautiful in the Spring. Look we will need a war to rev up the economy and fix the financial mess made by Fanny & Freddy. Remember that's how we got out of the last depression!

Obama lies. Banks die.
need we say more?

I thnk you should look into ACORNS actions here in NY, and as well study up on what the OBAMNATION consider's ancient history reguarding the CRA, which started under Carter.
Then lets talk about Barney Frank's lover over at Fanny, who was considered the mastermind of sub-prime mortgage. That's an image to conjure up next time this wind page is on TV.

Then evaluate how housing speculation has destroyed many neighborhoods here in NY, resulting in over assessments based on inflated values that has given NY'ers the highest property taxes in the NATION.

And after which you have taken the time to really look at the FACT"s perhaps then you will understand why Fanny & Freddy have caused this fiasco, added and abetted by Pelosi, Reid, Dodd and Frank.

The buyers in these transactions did not have adequate information about what they were buying.

Most of these securities, inexplicably, had a triple A rating.

The buyers thought they were buying sound securities when in fact the securities were worthless.

They were a fraud perpetrated by private mortgage lenders. And because the mortgage lenders were able perpetrate the fraud, there was no free market disincentive to make the loan. There was simply an incentive to make as many loans as possible.

Fraud is something the Treasury Department should prevent and it is not part of the free market.

You still haven't answered the question!
"Business Week is an apologist for the Democrats?"

In a word? Yes. Just as much as their UK counterpart "Economist".

But you still haven't answered the question.

Your contention, and the contention of the rest of your ilk, say that it is "evil rich big corporations were greedy and ignored lending standards just to make a few billion bucks."

So tell me, how, EXACTLY, can ANYONE -- big corporation, or anyone else on Earth -- make ANY MONEY AT ALL lending money to people whom they KNOW will never pay it back?

You and the Democratic Party are essentially pretending to be South Park's Underpants Gnomes. As some may recall, the Underpants Gnomes were these little critters that ran around stealing the South Park kids' underpants. The kids discovered the Gnomes' secret headquarters where they found a chalkboard with their marketing strategy explained on it:

Phase 1: Steal underpants.
Phase 2:
Phase 3: Big Profits!

The Underpants Gnomes never explained what Phase 2 was, just like neither you nor the rest of the Democrats have explained what these "evil corporate banks'" Phase 2 was.

So tell me, kiddo, if Phase 2 was not "Sell underpants to Fannie and Freddie," exactly what WAS Phase 2?

Ken
"The housing bubble was not caused by de-regulation of banking or mortgages."

It was caused by "inventive" financial instruments that should never have been allowed. And these intruments popped up from 2002-2006 when subprime mortgages went from 2% of total mortgage loans to 30%.

The CRA Fannie and Freddie did not cause the "creative financing" that occurred during this period and the loans were outside of their scope.

Banks were not under any pressure to do what they did from 2002-2006. They couldn't wait to make those loans.

"The primary agency responsible for keeping an eye on these things is, and should be, the Treasury Department, and I think the president erred in the first place by appointing two secretaries who had no background in finance," said Bruce Bartlett, a Republican economist who was an adviser to President Ronald Reagan and an official in the Treasury Department under President George H.W. Bush."

http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/09/20/business/prexy.php?p age=1

Incidentally, I highly recommend his book:

Impostor: How George W. Bush Bankrupted America and Betrayed the Reagan Legacy

Anne, Regulations haven't changed.
Housing and Banking regulatinos have not changed in over 20 years.

The housing bubble was not caused by de-regulation of banking or mortgages.

Demand for housing increased because Liberals pressured banks to write mortgage loans to people who could not pay back the loan.

The community activist group known as A.C.O.R.N., would use extortion tactics to get banks to write bad loans.

We do know Democrats like Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, and Barack O'Bama did receive hugh campaign donations from Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae. We do know Chris Dodd received a sweetheart load from one failed lender. We do know Barack Obama received a low interest loan from a failed bank for his mortgage.

So if Democrats had no power, why are all these corrupt banks giving them sweetheart loans and campaign donations?

Sorry if this bursts your bubble.

beowulfe
Business Week is an apologist for the Democrats? Good one.

I don't know if you've noticed, but the bailout of Fannie and Freddie was hardly the only bailout that occurred.

Mortgage backed securities were already out on the market. Fannie and Freddie were late to the party and were limited as to what they could buy.

The fact is the demand curve for these bogus items was almost vertical. There were plenty of buyers.

Mr. Hillman
Allow me to cut thru your "doubletalk". Fannie and Freddie should not even exist, but were foisted upon the American public by pols of BOTH parties in their never-ending crusade to rescue us from the upsets that come with being free.
There is NOTHING, not a word, in the Constitution about the federal gov`t involving itself in home mortgages. That document, which all elected officials swear to uphold and defend, is ignored and trashed by them as soon as they take office.
Pols of both parties continue in this folly as we head for destruction... trying to solve our massive debt problem by borrowing (or printing) another $850 billion so we can jump into the banking and insurance business.
Lord, preserve us.

Then, Joe, answer the question!
The only "hogwash" is the fact that your "objective" source is nothing more than an apologist for the Democrats.

Answer the question I posed above!

Just to repeat:

Banks are in business to make money. Thus, why would they issue loans that they KNEW the lender would default on?

The IRREFUTABLE, UNDENIABLE, and DEMONSTRABLE FACT of the matter is that if Fannie and Freddie weren't there buying up bad loans at the Democrats' behest, those loans would have NEVER been issued. You can try to divert away from that FACT all you want, but that cannot change that FACT!

What a bunch of hogwash
This is a far more objective and accurate article with regard to Fannie Mae and Fredie Mac.

http://www.businessweek.com/investing/insights/blog/archive s/2008/09/fannie_mae_and.html

And this is a far more objective and accurate article with regard to the Community Reinvestment Act.

A time for Republicans to act
President Reagan once asked, "If not us, who? If not now, when?"

Now is our moment.

The election is just days away. It's crunch time folks. We need to get funds to goptrust.com so they can run the new 30-second TV ad showcasing the Wrong Reverend Wright and OBama - it's a home run. Go to http://www.goptrust.com to see it.

The ad is running now in four swing states. We need to help the GOP Trust to expand their ad program. We need to pummel Obama and expose his lies and the media's blatant efforts to elect him.

Make a donation and stop this charlatan and his blind followers from ruining America like LBJ did in the 60s.

Eleanor
"Neither were the Democrats."

Is that so? The Democrats took control of Congress two years ago, and they promised to fix all the "problems" brought on by the Bush administration. Why haven't they fixed them?

Obama wasn't running the Country
Neither were the Democrats. To attempt to place the blame for the downfall of our economy on the Democrats alone is just another way of trying to put fear into this election.

Yes, Clinton asked for easier ways for people with lower incomes to get housimng loans but he did not permit the unscupulous lending practices that have taken place in the last eight years. That was and is the responsibility of the Bush/Cheney administration. In fact, deregulation was increased under Bush including the Investment Act that allowed Wall Street to go wacko without
any Fed interference.
Bush's appointment of Paulson in 2006, 6 months before the Dems became the majority in Congress, should have detoured this economic crisis to a safe road but face it folks, Paulson is Wall Street. He knew what was going on and was even paid $163 million by Goldman Sachs for six months of employment the same year he worked under Bush.
Bush concentrated on oil, Iraq. and borowing, taking us into billions of dollars in debt to China to achieve his goals.
His goals, not your goals, not my goals, but his goals. You can bet your bottom dollar his lobbyists base hasn't suffered nearly as much, if at all, by the worst economic downfall since the Great Depression.
John McCain bragged of his knowledge of the economy. As the Chairman of the Commerce Commitee he said he had "oversight over all areas of the economy."
Nice job. McCain.
Nice exit stage right Bush.

Nice exit Mr. Bush.

A Socialist Revolution on tuesday 11/4
Subject: A Social plan by any definition
What Barack Obama is planning on doing is taking general tax revenue from those making the most money in the US and offsetting the Social Security and Medicare tax payments of the poorest workers in the US. It is as simple as that. It will result in a transfer of roughly $60 Billion dollars every year, or more as time goes on and will create a massive transfer of wealth from the higher paid workers to the lowest paid workers. It will "benefit" roughly 40% of the workforce or about 80 million people at the expense of the rest of the US taxpayers. What will be particularly corrosive will be the fact that since the money is being used to replace the payments the lowest paid workers make to their social security and medicare that they will then be recieving their Social Security and Medicare benefits without having to pay for them. The government will be forcably taking the money to pay those benefits from other US workers and using it to pay for the bottom 80 million workers. Who couldn't like that? Is it Socialism? You bet. Is it welfare? You bet. Is it corrosive to "pay" the retirement and retired health benefits of an entire class of Americans with the money taken forcably from the rest of working Americans? You bet. How many of Obama's supporters understand this? How many of those who recieve the new Government handouts will ever be willing to give them up? How many of us will recognize our country a week from now when the Democratic Congress and Obama join forces to begin the biggest wealth transfer in history? Act now or kiss your freedom and wealth good bye for the remainder of this century.

Riddle me THIS, bryce, Lone?
Question for America-hating fascists bryce and Lone:

Banks and Wall Street investors exist for one reason -- to make money. That is a fact of life. When a bank lends money to a borrower, the way that bank makes money is on the interest paid from those loans. If banks lend money to borrowers who cannot possibly pay the money back, there is NO WAY they can make any money...or is there?

Tell me bryce, Lone, why, EXACTLY, would a bank disregard lending standards in order to loan money to people whom they KNOW can never pay that money back, let alone pay any interest?

Do you think it could have anything to do with the fact that your boys, Slick Willy and Barney Frank told those banks "Don't worry about those silly lending standards. Give money out to all kinds of darkies, and Fannie and Freddie will be there to buy up all those loans!" had anything to do with it?

Like always, you America-hating fascist imbeciles ONLY look at a tiny fraction of the problem. You see banks ignoring lending standards, but never ask the question "Why would they do that?" The reason you ignore THAT quesion is because the answer to that question PROVES, IRREFUTABLY, UNDENIABLY, and DEMONSTRABLY, that it is YOU and your fascist ilk who created this mess! The IRREFUTABLE FACT of the matter is that if Democrats did not have Fannie and Freddie buying up those worthless loans, those worthless loans would have never been made to begin with!

my 2 cents
In an intterview in September even Bill Clinton said that the responsibility for the collapse was the democrats.

Obama Is Hilarious !
He advocates unity but all his policies are divisive.

The only unity he will get is within his own party unless some brave Democrats decide to defect on principle.

Oh...I forgot.Democrats have no principles, they are like sheep following Obama off a cliff.

A Divided Party
There are two simple truths that this article obscures. In the first case, banks did not "have to make subprime loans" to unqualified people. The majority did not, and, as a result, they are not in trouble. The second is that when McCain tried to get his bill passed in 05, the GOP controlled the Senate and the House. The reason that the bill never came to the floor for a vote in the Senate is because only 19 Republicans signed on. 36 did not. And Frist, the GOP leader did not offer it for a vote because without those 36 votes, it had no chance of winning. The same reality applied to the House where the bill never got out of committee, even though there was no filibuster and the GOP had a solid majority.

The simple reality is that the GOP is a divided party. And because it is divided, it cannot escape a share of the responsibility for F&F.

This would have never happened
If we actually lived within the framework of the Constitution, this would have never happened. I can't find the part where the government should be involved in people purchasing homes.

Just for fun
"Associated Press reported that three years ago Freddie Mac even paid a consulting firm peel off enough GOP votes to kill a reform bill sponsored by Republican"

Three years ago the Republicans held the majority in the House and the Senate. How did the Democrats "peel off" Republican votes to stifle a bill that they wanted passed?

The lobby/consulting firm that was paid the money to "peel off" the votes was the firm of "Davis, Manafort & Freedman" which is co-owned by Rick Davis, the head of McCain's campaign. He is the same Rick Davis whose firm has received $2 million dollars up to Aug. 2008 from F & F to lobby/consult in their favor.

Wow, these columnists don't even try to get the story straight.

Negative Liberty
Negative Liberty: Adam Smith
Positive Liberty: Karl Marx
Take your pick
Obama complains that the U.S. Constitution promotes negative liberty:
"...the Constitution is a document of negative liberties, says what the states can't do to you, says what the federal government can't do to you, but it doesn't say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf." Barak Obama, September 6, 2001, Chicago Public Radio

Let's Blame Bush! (BDS)
Thanx for your blind parroting of the Socialist mantra of the Dhimmi-craps and their lap-dogs, the (Socialist) Lame Stream Media; Lone, Bryce and Al. Keep repeating this to yourselves, you might actually believe it some day.
This whole mess started with "Jimmi Peanut" and worsened under "The 1st Black President". They strong-armed banks into giving loans to "the poor", (read: minorities) or face governmental fines, just so their pandering would better their re-election chances. (To hell with the American People, who would eventually have to foot the bill!) The Republicans TRIED to warn both the public and financial markets of the danger, only to have bribed Dhimmi-craps block any effective reform. That's documented history. The Dhimmis and their corruption-masters hope the American People are gullible enough to buy into their lie; that because their mess blew up during a Republican administration, it MUST be that administration fault! The Republicans aren't completely blameless! Enough RINOs were willing to "reach across the aisle" to help their leftist buddies from keeping real reform happening! It gets the REAL culprits neatly off the hook for one of the worse manufactured (and PREDICTABLE) financial melt-downs of the 20th & 21st centuries! But y'all keep drinking your leftist master's Kool-aide until they lead you into a brighter, better (for THEM, at least) Socialist future! The ObaMessiah will have you beholden to a "Socialist paradise", soon enough, if you're STUPID enough to vote him in!
BTW, I'm neither a registered Dhimmi or Republican. I'm a registered INDEPENDENT! (I vote for the person who I think will do the best job, irregardless of political alignment.) I'm a constitutionalist; our Constitution has been good enough to keep our nation great for over 230 years, lets stick with it! Kerry, a Vietnam vet and Patriot.

This Issue Would Make A Difference
But, it might be too late. And there are TOO many people who just don't care to understand it. They think the "hope" for "change" through Obama will make everything all right.

They're fools. I'll vote McCain/Palin. If they don't win - those of us who did must get actively involved in flooding congress with calls and faxes and emails...etc. We may be the only "balance" of power left in the next 4 years.

Joycey,
You're saying Socialism is NOT like true Christianity, aren't you?

Christ didn't promote a government's taking from the rich to give to the poor. It was to be charitable giving.

Not having read all 15 comments,
I don't know whether the usual canard has been uttered: There's enough blame to go around.

Nonsense. If the Democrats could have found a Republican who was complicit in all this, he would have been committee-hearing-ed to death.

It wasn't lack of regulation, it was lack of oversight -- the job of our elected Senators and Representatives.

Folks, they don't work for us anymore! They spend their entire term raising money to be elected to the next term. And they spend $millions to win a seat paying $200,000 or so.

Vote McCain/Palin and hope they mean it about controlling spending and cleaning up the "old boy" system. But if you can't do that, then at least vote for the candidates who MEAN IT when they say they're conservative.

Good column, Mr. Hillman.

The World were Enablers___Hello bryce

Oh yeah, they were just "poor" victims when they bought all that PAPER.

Victimhood; ya know, thats something Obama knows all about.
*

Republicans and Democrats were enablers
But to suggest that Iceland is in bankruptcy because of the CRA or Fannie Mae is absurb.

The reason this is an international banking and credit crisis rather than an American mortgage crisis can be laid directly at the feet of Wall Street. They concocted these crazy schemes that lowered the standards and allowed bad American mortgages to cripple the international financial market.

By all means......VOTE!

VOTE!

Vote early. Lines will be long on election day. If you need to wait to vote until election day, go early.

AND PRAY!

Vote McCain and Palin in 2008!

You guys are so right the Democrats had nothing to do with the proliferation of UNQUALIFIED LOANS and the housing collapse.

Man you Rock.
Now put your crack pipes down and step away from your computer.

Maxine Waters is gonna make it all OK.

Thank you Lone for a dose of reality
Nearly 3/4 of subprime loans were originated in the secondary market. Only the primary market, banks that take deposits, are subject to CRA mandates. And in fact, the subprime mortgages underwritten by the heavily regulated primary market have a lower foreclosure rate. I ask you, are the investment banks buying up the commercial banks, or the other way around?

Also, has everyone here forgotten the blizzard of advertising between 2001 and 2007 virtually begging consumers to 'make banks compete' for their business with the promise of no verification loans? Does that sound like they were being 'forced'?

Jim Wallis
Somehow changing the government to socialism is more Christian than capitalism. This is all I can understand from these so-called Christians. I do no worry about mature believers but what about those searching for truth in a church they believe to be Christian only to find that they are handed an economic plan invented by atheists and Darwin.

The True Church cannot be tolerant of evil within the Church. This must hold true for the whole church not just local churches. We must be true to the Doctrine of The Faith. God will hold us accountable for confusing tolerance of evil and lies with love, for those that claim Jesus as Savior. Truth is their only hope for Salvation. For if you believe that God does not love the life of an unborn child or if God did not create order for us to live by in families but only care about turning our government into some kind of socialist UTOPIA my guess is you are not a Christian.

Theater of the absurd.

Only in Washington DC... can the guilty-as-sin politicians running the Congressional hearnings investigate the innocent.

Incredible.

Maybe in a third world country... but in America?

The ugly truth is that it was the Democrats who deliberately removed the safeguards against sub-prime lending.

This brazen act of vote-buying is the main reason why we and the rest of the world are in this horrible mess today.

I really hope, friends... that some of you do not have to retire today.

People like Dodd, Franks and Shumer have to go.

So do America a favor... and vote the bums out.

Vet took a few too many hits in the head
The 106 Congress led by the Republicans, pass legislation to basically allow derivatives "gambling" on Wall Street. AIG, Lehmann, et all lost their shirts and more.

The mistake of the Republicans is that they don't have the stones to accept any responsibility for their actions. The Bush Administration will go down as the largest most inept there was in our modern times. The American people have had enough lies thrown at them. From Iraq, to Katrina ...

The GOP party leaders let Bush do what he wanted and it dug McCain's grave. Palin is a sad sideshow. When we need very intelligent people who understand the complexity of issues, that is the person who should lead this country. Palin is vapid and doesn't even know what the job of a VP is according to the constitution. She got it wrong on video twice. We should not reward the dumb. That sets a very bad example to our young. We want the best prepared and brightest, not Dole 2 and special needs palin

A Vet Looks at Barack Obama
I can safely say that Barack Obama is a Marxist allied with a domestic terrorist, Islamists, and other radical leftists for at least the last 21 years on project after project with the purpose of subverting the United States. With a massive influx of money from Islamist and radical left sources, voter fraud, and a biased press; they're on the verge of succeeding.

http://www.pr-inside.com/william-ayers-and-barack-obama-fin ally-r797225.htm

This unrepentant domestic terrorist, as head of the Weather Underground, was planning to kill 25 million Americans who couldn't be 'reeducated'.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJn5b8_weUY

I'm a Vietnam veteran who after watching the DVD 'Obsession' about Islamic terrorism and reading Brigitte Gabriel's book 'Because They Hate' decided to find out what I could about Barack Obama. It has me truly concerned for this nation that I love. You can see a lot more about Obama and his allies on my blog at http://billlong.blogtownhall.com.

For me the most important article I found to understand Barack Obama is at http://www.faithfreedom.org/obama.html

Of Course The Fault Is Theirs.....
......if there was ONE Republican who was culpable, you would see congressional hearings out the wazoo!!!
That is one sure thing.

They want to quiet it down until after the election. Then they will change their minds and never have them at all,if Obama is president. That is another sure thing.

Those voting for Obama and the Pelosi-Reid Congress really don't care what happens to this country . . . it is ALWAYS politics first. Just look at what they are doing to the military vote, and have been doing for the last 8+ years. It is absolutely disgusting, but true to form.

Echo chamber
Yer preachin' to the choir. We all know the truth. Conservatives have been shouting it from the rooftop. The Dems on TH don't care.

And McCain is unwilling to drive the message home.

There'll be no justice for taxpayers who pay the cost of Democrat maleficence.
