Obama's Hard "Knox" For Faith-Based Groups

Here we go again. President Obama’s brilliant strategy for reaching faith-based groups to strengthen community work is to appoint a church defamer as one of his advisors. Pro-homosexual activist Harry Knox of the Human Rights Campaign is one of President Obama’s latest appointments to join his Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.

Among Knox’s many credentials is the fact that he accused Pope Benedict XVI of “insulting Jesus,” saying the Catholic Church is “hurting people in the name of Jesus” and promoting “violence and human rights abuses” against homosexuals, bisexuals and transgenders.

Wow! Hurting people in the name of Jesus? Is that what the president believes? You would think President Obama would respect the Catholic Church’s work against poverty or its stand against racism. Yet with this appointment he insults not only Catholics but all Christians.

Knox’s insults offend all Christians because they came as a result of the Catholic Church refusing to join a United Nations resolution requiring that countries treat all “sexual orientations” equally. And any Christian with an understanding of what “sexual orientation” means would have to oppose such a resolution.

Sorry Mr. Knox, Christians cannot support pedophilia. It should not be treated “equally.” Does that mean we advocate “violence” against pedophiles? No.

What it really comes down to is that Mr. Knox is a committed homosexual activist, not a spiritual leader. What is he doing working in this council?

If President Obama was not aware of Mr. Knox’s vitriolic comments, then he should have a serious talk with the staffers who suggested him because they are making the president look really bad.

Although Knox is not the only advisor the President has appointed in this area, the fact is that naming him was unnecessary. There are plenty of well-qualified people that the president can call on who have not insulted Christians. There may even have been some respectful homosexuals he could have appointed if he just wanted “diversity” in his council to placate to some of his homosexual campaign supporters. Continued...

Oust Obama and All Liberals
Great Article Mr. Blackwell. You describe it so sublimely how corrupt and amoral Obama, Sebelius and the entire Liberal Establishment in this country are. And, these same Humane Liberals, will sit outside prisons and cry, chant, pray and moan over the impending death sentences of some who have tortured, raped and murdered children, but fully support the torture and dismemberment of unborn children without shedding a single tear for the fetus or for the would-be mother who has lost her soul, and in most cases, the taxpayers are forced to pay for these procedures that most civilzed people do not agree with.

God, help us all, if Obama and his diabolical schemes actually succeed. Obama and his entire administration and his cohorts in the U.S. Congress need to be exposed and removed from office. The only means that, We The People, have to do that is to Unite and Vote in Record numbers to replace these morally bankrupt individuals from office, and for the MSM and their talking heads such as Oprah Winfrey, The Nags on The View, and others, they need to be boycotted and their miserable shows that support and promote these Scoundrels and the Despicable Acts that they condone, will also disappear from the airwaves, and then Oprah and these other Immoral Feel Good performers can disappear into the dark shadows where they belong.

Jeff - Remember Paul...

Jeff writes: "May Our Lord forgive me for saying it, but I hope Obama finds his way to that special place."


I share your frustration and anger with this man’s actions, what he is doing to our country, his policy on abortion, and many other things.

But remember Paul. He personally and actively "persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:" (cf. Galatians 1:13, KJV). And he stood by, consenting unto the death of Stephen (cf. Acts 22:20).


Not only did Paul do a 180° turn-around, he was inspired to write more books of the New Testament than any other, and became the Apostle to the Gentiles:


“For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:” (Romans 11:13)

“Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, [and] lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.” (1 Timothy 2:7)

“Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.” (2 Timothy 1:11)


I’m not suggesting that such an about-face is likely with our president, but God rules in the affairs of men, and He has allowed or raised this man up to the presidency for His own reasons. Whether to accomplish some part of God’s plan, or to tear this nation asunder in righteous judgment, I know not.


A Christian ought to oppose the president in every action he takes that is contrary to the Word of God. But we should also pray for our elected leaders, even though we may disagree with them strongly. We should pray that their hearts be softened and their eyes be opened to the truth of God’s Word.

With God, all things are possible.

Can you even imagine the force for good the president of the United States could be, if he was truly committed to God? And the blessings our nation would receive, if he would only hearken unto the Word of God?

We should pray for him, oppose him where he opposes God, and leave the rest to God.
