Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Hillary Clinton has spent years trying to erase the memory of her failed attempt to bring socialized medicine to the United States, but this week the ghost of Hillary Care was lurking in the wings again as she unveiled her new plan to overhaul the nation's health system. Touted as an "American Health Choices Plan," Sen. Clinton's proposal is short on choice but full of government mandates, including a new directive that every American purchase health insurance.

Like her Democratic rivals -- and even some Republicans running for president -- Clinton makes it sound as if we are facing a health care crisis, one that only government can solve. But what exactly is the problem?

Advocates of universal health coverage like to trot out the statistic that about 46 million Americans lack health care coverage, a number based on Census data from 2005. But the figure is misleading.

Most people, upon hearing that so many Americans lack health insurance, automatically assume it is because they can't afford it, but the Census study tells a different story. More than 17 million of those counted as uninsured earn more than $50,000 a year, including almost 9 million who make over $75,000 a year. Some of these people are, no doubt, self-employed, healthy and young, which is why they choose not to buy health insurance for themselves. Since there are few options out there for catastrophic coverage -- the kind that will take care of your bills if you're injured in a car crash or suddenly get cancer -- many of these Americans opt not to spend the money on expensive comprehensive health insurance, just as many people choose not to buy life insurance. Does it make sense to force them to do so?

What's more, nearly half of the 46 million uninsured remain so for only a brief time, on average four months. Many of these persons are between jobs and choose not to pay the premiums for continued coverage available to most persons covered by an employer-provided health plan if they lose or quit their jobs.

Finally, of the remaining uninsured, about 10 million are non-citizens, including an unknown number of illegal aliens.

So, when the numbers are dissected, the health care "crisis" comes down to, according to some estimates, fewer than 10 million Americans who lack long-term access to health care coverage. Yet to deal with this problem, Hillary Clinton wants to dramatically change the way the rest of us receive our health care.

Clinton's plan would force insurers to offer coverage at the same rates to everyone: smokers would pay no more than non-smokers; drug addicts and alcoholics would receive the same rates as the abstemious; obese people would pay the same as the physically fit -- even though all of these behaviors affect health and can be avoided. The consequence would be higher rates for those who choose to behave responsibly.

Moreover, to pay for the estimated $110 billion cost of the new Hillary Care, Clinton would raise taxes. First, she'd wipe out most of the Bush tax cuts, and then she'd tax employer-provided health care plans themselves for those she deems "rich."

Clinton likened her plan of forcing all individuals to purchase health insurance (and requiring the government to pay for those who ostensibly can't afford it) to some states' requirement that drivers maintain insurance in case they injure someone in an accident. But the comparison couldn't be farther off the mark. Car and property insurance don't cover routine maintenance, and premiums are tied to actual risk. You don't submit claims to your car insurer for tune-ups or brake repairs or to your home insurer for painting your house or putting on a new roof. And your premiums depend on whether you are a good driver and how much your house is worth.

But most people expect their health insurance to pay at least a portion of the cost of visits to the doctor for routine care when they get the flu or need vaccinations for the kids, and they don't want to pay more if they choose unhealthy lifestyles.

We do need a new system -- one that rewards individual efforts to stay healthy and provides incentives to get regular, prophylactic care. But Hillary's plan doesn't come close to doing that and will only result in higher taxes and rationed health care.

one that rewards individual efforts to stay healthy and provides incentives to get regular, prophylactic care....

makes no sense as many chronic conditions, i.e. diabetes and heart disease are as much about genetics as they are lifestyle.

Bob some enlightenment
You said "Perhaps you can enlighten me as to what is fair and how to go about implementing it?" What is fair is you take care of yourself. Want to eat yourself to death thats your choice. Health care is personal and private and the last group that should be involved in it is the government. You feel sorry for people without insurance go set up a pro bono clinic. Stealing money from me to pay someone elses way IS NOT FAIR. There is no constitutional promise to have heathcare (pretty much unheard of back then). The cig tax is actually very repressive. People that smoke, on average, die at an earlier age and actually spend less on life time healthcare than those that live into their 90's.
Question for you Bob who besides GOD should decide what the perfect diet is, the perfect exercise plan etc? People need to get over themselves and leave the rest of us alone.

Health Care for All
Does Hillary's plan mean that when we get socialized medicine that her and her family and all of Congress will have to sign up on a list and wait 6 months for a doctors appointment?
Of course not, her and her Congressional stooges (peers) will still have their gold-plated health care program that only high party officials get, oh that is for communist governments.

hager
Then I assume you are dead set against taxing cigarettes to pay for health care?

With being overweight and a lack of exercise quickly becoming (if not already there) the number one preventable cause of health problems, and following the same line-of-reasoning, why isn't junk food taxed?

Answer: Voters who smoke are a minority.

Should those that keep themselves in shape supplement the health care costs of those who (by their own choice) don't?

Perhaps you can enlighten me as to what is fair and how to go about implementing it?

Next
In a surprising move Hillary Clinton today announced that given so many Americans can not afford to “bear arms” as is their constitutional right, a new tax will be levied against those who do not do enough to defend their fellow citizens, when they clearly have the means to do so. The tax will be based on a percentage of assets, commonly referred to as “ill-gotten gains” and would apply to those who seek to undermine the right to bear arms.

Ms. Clinton acknowledged that since her allegedly rapist husband has done as much as anyone to destroy citizens second amendment rights she and President Clinton would contribute the proceeds of all future book sales to providing assault rifles and .40 caliber handguns to any and all who ask. Initially, only citizens and legal residents will be able to obtain the “Free” weapons but, Ms. Clinton could see a time when “having proof of ownership of a weapon as a requirement to obtain an interview for employment” and be extended to include illegal immigrants.

Other well know individuals who have been targeted, um, identified as subject to the new tax are the Kennedys, the Kerry-Heinz' all Senate Democrats, and UC Berkley professors. Since Al Gore has such success terrorizing elementary school students he will be taxed to the tune of 100million Euros, an Oscar, and an Emmy.

Another surprise is that Ms. Clinton has appointed pundits Ann Coulter and Mike Adams co-collectors of this new tax.

Ms. Clinton launched this program under the title “Because I Can”

Hillary care
Can anyone tell me where I can read Hillary's actual 10 page health care plan?

Well, it might make some of us healthier
Knowing what socialized medical care (and that still is her goal) would be like, I'd know I was on my own, and maybe take better care of myself.

Thats the only way hillarycare could possibly improve anyone's health.

Hillary Should Read Our Constitution
No sane person would propose a mandatory health insurance program for free Americans. We are not that type people; we must earn our way and meet our responsibilities. This proposal coupled with Hillary's statement, "this is not a government program" illuminates Hillary's insanity. When will the people realize Hillary is now insane.

As I mentjioned on the Reagan column
I want a Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera!

Who do I contact to get the government to pay for that for me?

NYC Dogg
Universal Health care is NOT a winning issue for the Democrats, and your being niave on the issue is showing.

Universal Healthcare is failing in Cananda, as well as the UK.

Do you really want the same government that is taking 12-14 weeks just to process paperwork for you to get a passport for 300,000 people to now handle your healthcare?

Now think about the wait time for 25 million people needing an MRI for a brain tumor, 20 million people needing chemotherapy, and 30 million people needing bypass surgery?

If Universal Healthcare is failing in countries like Canada & the UK with 1/4 of the U.S. population, how can it even be effective in the U.S.?

How many people are traveling to Canada every year for free healthcare?

You really need to educate yourself if you really don't believe the article written above:

Start by reading these articles:

Bob what you state is nice But!
You going to set limits on body fat ratios? Intake of fats etc? Where is the freedom in that. And I dont want to here I should pay more becase statistically I fall into a certain catagory.

steve7 my solution
Is not to have the government try to "HELP" us. If states want to set up a voluntary high deductible, for the sake of argument family of 4 pays the first $8000 the 20% remainder or first 12000 and nothing above that. That would cover all major expenses and eliminate running to hospital over minor issues. In general however am opposed to government involvement. Another acceptable method is the tax free medical accounts that let you rollover, invest, and pass on to estate (like a 401k but allocated to medical expenses) with some provision for emergency withdrawal

Not healthier
But poorer and less free

Prevention Beats Cure
Health care costs may also be correlated to:

• The Fattening of America (Overweight/Obese)
• Junk Food
• Lack of Exercise
• Casual Sex (Unwanted Pregnancies, Abortions, Single Parents, and STDs)
• Legal and Illegal Drug Use
• Inventing New Diagnoses or Over-Diagnosing Conditions
• Miracle Cures (Drugs) to Cure Over-Diagnosed Conditions
• Depression do to the State of Society
• Unfettered Immigration
• Listening to Hitlery Spew-Out Her Vile Spiel
• Others?

Of course, Hitlery and her ilk aren’t interested in solutions that place the responsibility where it belongs; on the individual. Rather, they want society to be fat, dumb, irresponsible, and dependent on the Nanny State!

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

EQUAL HEALTH CARE FOR ALL
It is my view that clear and equal access to vital, comprehensive health care for everyone living in America is the proper goal for our health care system. How we get there is the question. The path towards that is obstructed by the following:
1. lack of understanding of what health care means, what it really is.
2. treating health care as a business commodity.
3. fear inducing political-business rhetoric designed to favor one political party or the other, thereby maintaining the status quo, which benefits so many people, save those who are not receiving health care. Columnists who write about health care contribute greatly to this.
4. the politicians from both parties whose plans are nothing but convoluted tweakings of our already dysfunctional system designed to maintain the status quo. Senators Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Thompson, McCain; Governors Romney and Richardson; and Mayor Giuliani all fall into this group.
EQUAL HEALTH CARE FOR ALL, (ISBN: 978-0-9796994-0-5) offers a good approach for developing the new system, which Ms. Chavez says we need.
It is time for people in America to see through the camouflage. Visit my web site to learn more about a new approach for America.
Also for those really interested, Mr. Lohman, who left a comment above, has written a serious treatise on the relationship between special interests and the politicians, which relationship truly hampers any meaningful change from occurring.

how to lower cost of insurance
What we have now in the US is employer provided prepaid health plans. If your auto insurance worked the same way, you wouldn't care about the price of gasoline (your copay would be the same at every station), but you'd have to get your coverage verified every time you pulled into Exxon. And the premiums would be MUCH higher. On the other hand, if your health insurance worked like the automobile variety, you'd pay for your own gas, oil, and maintenance. So you and the doc would be the only participants in the transaction (although the doc fees would be the discounted ones negotiated by your insurance company), giving him a powerful incentive to see that you're satisfied. For unusual, unexpected eventualities, your catastrophic coverage would kick in. At age 57 and with long history of hypertension, we were able to buy $5000 deductible coverage from Blue Cross for $394/mo., saving us $800/mo. from the $1200 we had been paying. After 6 months our deductible is saved so in the very first year, we saved about $5000. Those dollars are saved in a "health savings account" as PRETAX dollars (up to almost $6000/yr), and can be spent on ANY health-related expense---dental, vision, OTC medicines, etc. In the third year of coverage, I've had to undergo shoulder surgery, and I learned the best thing about the insurance---there is NO need to ask for approval from the insurance company. I selected the surgeon with recommendation from family doc, then made all arrangements with him. Once we reached deductible, there was NO copay---Blue Cross paid 100%. The beauty of this whole arrangement is that it re-establishes the linkage between the consumer and the payer (they're the same person), and lets transactions take place between docs and patients, harnessing the power of free market forces to improve efficiency and lower costs. On top of that, the insurance company isn't meddling around in the management of your care.

those with ANTI human values running hc?
If you search the US Government website on both proposed and approved government bills, you will find LOTS AND LOTS of bills concerning abortion.

If you check into the bill language and FINE PRINT, you will find a LION;s SHARE of bills where some prominent Democrats such as Hillary or her similarly thinking compatriots (along with some Republicans) who VOTE CONSISTENTLY TO MAINTAIN THE ABORTION STATUS QUO. This includes not allowing a waiting period before a proposed abortion, NOT blocking the abortion on an underage teen escorted in by the adult boyfriend (or any other adult who is NOT the legal guardian).

SO WHY WOULD WE ENTRUST ***HEALTHCARE*** TO SUCH PERSONS WHO HAVE SUCH AN UNQUALIFIED LOVE AFFAIR WITH ABORTION...to the extent that many of these same people don't want to block even children from being taken in by their adult abuser???

HEALTH CARE COULD USE SOME REVAMPING...but let it be revamped by people who value the human race and have a track record to prove it.

Government health care already exists
We already have a great example of government-run healthcare: the VA.

I don't know a single vet who'll go there if he has ANY other option.

Further, a great essay on the truly frightening hidden costs of this kind of program:

Like I said....
Watch out for comments on here from nutcases like Jackbenimble. This moron has zero clue what he is talking about. Linda Chavez is AGAINST government sponsored health coverage for illegal aliens. And yet, this nutcase Jackbenimble comes on here spewing some more of his lies about Chavez.

No one is fooled by your lies Jack.

Recently
Chelsea Clinton interviewed a U.S. Army Captain in Iraq and asked him, "Who are you afraid of?" Well he said " I am afraid of Osama, Obama and but mostly YO MAMA!!"

justpaul-Maybe Shrillary isn't including
the illegals (yet), but Governor Schwartzen-Traitor of Calli-fornia is including it in his plan, which is even more Socialized than the Shrillster's.

Just give the Lefties time and their true colors will show.

Shrillary is presenting a more moderate plan BEFORE the election, but if you want to see the dream that the old Socialist holds dear to her heart, just take a look at the plan she tried to force down our throats when she was merely a brand-new First Lady.

Do you honestly think that she is going to settle for anything less than full Marxism?

Tax revenues vs tax rates
Hillary, Breck girl and Ubama all say they will "pay" for their forced government invasion of private industry and personal choice(their health care dictatorships) by repealing ond reversing GW Bush's tax cuts-does that include lowering the 15% rate on first $10,000 of taxable income to 10% , given to ALL taxpayers by Bush? Or does anyone with taxable income automatically qualify as "rich" to these government paid leeches on the productive system?
And are they concerned with increasing gross tax INCOME to the Treasury or tax RATES paid in various brackets? Does no one recall that when JF Kennedy, RW Reagan, and then GW Bush LOWERED tax RATES, that tax REVENUES increased?

SteveL: People are only required to buy
liability insurance, to cover the other car and driver in a collision.

They are not required to buy comp and collision unless they have a loan on the car, in which case they are required to do so by the bank, who is the real owner of the car until they are paid back. They are NOT REQUIRED TO CARRY COMP AND COLLISION BY THE GOVERNMENT.

The cost of your insurance is determined by your driving record, not by your age.

I wouldn't mind if I got discounts for just going to the doctor once a year, but I can only get that if I but a policy with an enormoud deductable.

As far as I am concerned, the cost of living is already too expensive, compared to the wages which seem to go down every year (except for the execs, who give themselves large wages and bonuses, bringing up the average).

Well, the Democrat(ick)s can take their "Shrillary Care" and shove it.

Say What?
"The other day it was announced that Hillary care does not provide coverage to illegal immigrants."

That heartless wench! I am shocked, shocked I tell you, to hear that Hillary would deny the needed medical coverage to innocent people whose only crime is being in this country illegally. How can she consider herself a true progressive?

healthcare/ taxes
Human behaviour, while not always rational, often acts in perceived economic self-interest.Rather than equalizing the cost of health insurance for all, which would punish thrift and personal responsibility while rewarding indolence and self-destructiveness, we need to restore incentives to shop, compare, and save.
Did Hillary and co. not watch 20/20's John Stossel report on healthcare? Increasing the spread of 3rd party payors with comprehensive insurance only increases the disconnect between consumers and payors.
We need to encourage High Deductible Health Savings Accounts and remove gov't mandated coverage packages. Let people buy the coverages they want, based on their personal risk/reward choices. If given incentives to price shop, with savings going into tax-free accounts, consumers will restore the competitiveness and economic realities to the system. The opposite, over-utilization and waste of resources, is caused by the end user not being the cost-payor.

Healthcare that makes you sicker
Last night I overheard a conversation between two people who were taking lots of prescription medications, and how the new meds were making them feel worse.

I do not take medication; I try to solve my health issues through natural methods. I go to the doctor for a check up once a year, take high-quality vitamins, exercise four to seven days a week, and try to get some sunshine and "fresh" air every day.

But there are perhaps millions who go to the doctor at the drop of a hat, mindlessly take the drugs that are the doctor's only tools apart from surgury, then dutifully go back for more meds to "help" with the symptoms of the other meds: symptoms that are often worse than the origional disorder.

I am not saying I am better than them; they can do what they wish.

But I think it is wrong to charge me the same for insurance as they charge people who know the doctor as well as their favorite waitress. I also think it is wrong to expect me to pay for the healthcare or education of illegal aliens children. Yet, my insurance premium goes up every year, regardless of how little I use it.

I recently cancelled my insurance, because I am outraged at how little I would get if I went to a cheaper policy. May as well put that money in the bank.

Now Shrillary wants me to pay for all these slackers who don't want to carry their own load.

Well I am weighted down with the load of all these losers already, and am fed up with "sharing the cost" of all these grasping ingrates. I don't see them coming here to share my burdens!

It is disgusting to see these elites want to set up a world where the indolent get rewarded and the hard workers get penalized.

here is my solution
I have a way to lower health care costs that will save HUGE amounts of money for America in the long run--though it's going to cost money in the short run:

Give every middle-class American a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on required medical screening tests. That is, if you need a routine colonoscopy, mammogram, Pap smear, prostate exam, etc., you get a dollar-for-dollar tax credit. Send your bill directly to the IRS and let them credit you on your taxes.

By detecting cancers, heart disease, etc., early enough for complete cures, we could save billions of dollars in health care costs over the next 50 years. As well as be a healthier society overall.

Right now, most private insurance companies don't pay for all the routine screening tests. My insurance company refused to pay for my colonoscopy and it was $1,000 out of pocket. That's because my insurance company is betting that by the time I am diagnosed with cancer years from now, I will be insured by some other insurance company so it won't be their problem anymore.

Whether the $1,000 came from a bank account or from a Medical Savings Account (MSA) is irrelevant--someone who is forced to pay thousands of dollars for routine tests often forgoes them and saves the money instead--and doesn't see a doctor until symptoms appear and then it's too late. The only way I see to break that cycle and screen all Americans is with this Government subsidy I have suggested.

insurance pools MUST be large
"many of these Americans opt not to spend the money on expensive comprehensive health insurance, just as many people choose not to buy life insurance. Does it make sense to force them to do so?"

Why do we force Americans to purchase automobile insurance in order to drive on state highways and interstate highways?

Because having to deal with accidents involving uninsured drivers, pushes up the cost of auto insurance for everyone else.

And with health insurance, if too many young healthy people opt out of participating in the pool, then those who remain in the pool will have to pay MUCH higher premiums to pay the claims of the severely sick.

That's how insurance works--those who don't file claims pay premiums which pay for other folks' claims. A profit-making health insurance company with an inadequate pool of healthy policyholders may have no choice but to deny coverage to sick policyholders, because it can't afford to pay off on their claims. Is that what you want?

Keep the Government out of our Pockets
And off our bodies!

Produce one example of socialist health care that works. Can't do it. The Republicans have the best idea so far, give tax breaks to people like me that need health care or better care and at the same time give me back some of my own money in the form of lower taxes. The Socialist plan led by Hillary and Edwards is the exact opposite. It is far far more intrusive than anything since the income tax.

She proposes to force people into health care. How else could you justify stealing hundreds of billions of dollars from the public unless you forced everyone to partake. It goes against everything that America and Freedom represents. We might as well have Hugo Chavez as her. How anyone could vote for this woman for a role in government is beyond me. Wake up New York!!!!

Hillary Care doesn't cover illegals
The other day it was announced that Hillary care does not provide coverage to illegal immigrants.

Now you know the real reason why the race-baiter Chavez is upset.

I can't understand why anyone would take anything this faux conservative has to say seriously. Another one check mark for Linda.

Keep it simple
Hillary and her ilk are socialists pure and simple. If socialism is what you crave vote for her and her party.

It is all about control and power.

steve7
Here's a solution to the plan: let the free market work it's magic.

You say the average cost of health care is $12,000? First off where did you come up with that number? Secondly, there are already hundreds of government regulations of health care that causes the costs to go up, which is why it's so expensive.

Consumers should be given choice, insurance companies should be allowed to compete with each without ANY government influence or laws that REQUIRE them to insure or offer insurance for certain things. Then costs will go down dramatically.

And people that seriously can't afford health insurance have been taken care of in the past via charitable organizations, hospitals and doctors. There are many, many doctors that offer their services for free to those that can't afford it.

In the past, before government started getting involved in health care, just about everyone could afford some sort of health insurance.

If you look at a graph of the cost of health insurance along with government regulations you'll see the cost of health care goes up as government involvement gets deeper.

What does this tell you?

The solution is ZERO government involvement in health care. That's right. ZERO government involvement.

A great article on the Ludwig Von Mises site explains 4 steps to a health care solution, and it makes absolute sense:

http://www.mises.org/freemarket_detail.aspx?control=279

Universal Healthcare
There are solutions to the uninsured. See the Healthcare Access Card at http://www.healthcaresoundoff.com. The analysis of the numbers by Ms.Chavez is not far from the facts. What she fails to recognize is that family health insurance costs $12,000 annually at the moment so if you make between $50,000 and $75,000 annually, after taxes you cannot afford health insurance. This problem could be solved with some regulatory changes in every state regarding mandating coverage. But the major failing in the report is we already have universal healthcare. If we are insured or covered by a government program our care is "managed" by the insurance company or HMO. We have no choice. So instead of labelling the proposed plans, come up with a solution. The one cited at http://www.healthcaresoundoff.com will work. If you don't think so, what is your solution. Quit hurling criticism and polemics and come up with a plan.

Not supposed to make us healthy
As proven in Kanukistan, the idea of Universal Health Care is the carrot dangled just past the nose. Jam Tomorrow. Never Jam Today. After the Next Election; After We Raise Taxes; After, After, After...

The putative governments of Canada have made Socialist hay with this mantra, and it is purely amazing to this American New Yorker that they have managed to bamboozle, rumfuddle and confuse an entire nation to the point where they passively allow themselves to believe that there is actual Jam over the hill, and that the soothing syrup of the snake oil salesman on the teevee will be forthcoming if only we Trust Her/Him/Them just a little longer.

Make the goodie sound intoxicating enough and you can dangle it forever just out of reach while you go about your real business: feathering your nest, hiring your cronies, allowing your country to fall into ruins and ignoring all the signals of catastrophe. Just dangle that juicy carrot and the donkeys will continue their passive slog forward, ever hopeful. It has worked here for generations. From the look of things, it will work here forever.

HITLARY
HRC didn't learn the hard left stuff from her father, Hugh Rodham. Mr. Rodham grew up in a poor family, served in World War II, and became a successful entrepreneur. He was a Bob Taft Republican. The transformation of HRC into a hard leftist started while she was a teenager in Park Ridge, IL. I have read about the very liberal youth minister named Donald Jones and his "University of Life" classes at the United Methodist Church her family attended. Her mentor is Saul Alinsky, the author of "Rules for Radicals".

HRC learned to hate capitalism early in life. There were those like-minded people of her generation who had to drop the leftist stuff because of the need to earn a living. HRC has, throughout her life, had the uncanny ability to position herself so that she would never have to drop the left stuff, more often than not get her way, and avoid being sued or criminally prosecuted.

HRC has the right stuff to be a Dictator in Chief.

Does anyone know whether HRC has ever been sick a day in her life or been to a hospital except for when she gave birth to Chilsea?

hmmmmm
what would you expect for such a liberal socialist person as Hillary?

Please when do i get to wake up from my nitemare?

Tip of the Iceberg
Health Care is not the only thing Hitlery wants to nationalize. God forbid, if she’s elected, she will push her Marxist agenda in other areas as well. Aunt Hitlery won’t stop until the Nanny State is firmly in control of everything we think and do. Carl Marx would be proud of his disciple!

Her 47 million uninsured statistics don’t hold water as you have pointed out. It really kills me how she cherry-picks statistics to back her vile spiel. There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics. Benjamin Disraeli.

Here’s Hitlery: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FENx8bzVvq8

HillaryCare2.0 is more corruption
If there was ever any doubt that corporate money was driving our politicians, the latest HillaryCare proposal will eliminate it.

Hillary Clinton says she’s learned a lot since the 1990s, and indeed she has. Those who thought the Republicans had a lock on the insurance industry’s money should have learned as much. Of all political money contributed so far, Hillary is the top recipient of the insurer’s largess, even when including Republicans.

Thus, rather than eliminating the inefficient middleman insurance bureaucracy, which unnecessarily drains 31% of our healthcare dollars, she wants to protect its place in our lives.

So don’t count on meaningful health care reform under her watch. She wants to leave the current employer-insurer bureaucracy alone, and add subsidies for those who have no insurance. Of course those subsidies eventually end up in the insurance industry’s pockets (wink, wink).

This says just about everything you need to know about our corrupt political system.

Hillary's Health Scare Plan
I coined that phrase but you may use it too.
Please do not let Hillary fake her way into the presidency. Please don't make us old and sick people stand in Socialized medicine lines to get treatment. Waiting up to 17 weeks for health services like in England and Canada will take us out of our misery faster but I doubt if that is a benefit.
Get Hillary out of here so that my too high blood pressure can take a rest.
Is anyone listening?
