Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

In "Dreams from My Father," Obama talks of attending the "Audacity of Hope Sermon" (pages 292-293). There is an audio book in Obama's own voice reading this passage. Obama hears Wright speak of Hiroshima and Sharpeville as examples of acts of injustice. A personal aside: My dad, a former Marine, served as a cook in a segregated unit and was stationed on the island of Guam in anticipation of the invasion of Japan. The invasion never occurred because of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which military historians believe saved at least 1 million lives.

What is Sharpeville? In 1960, the South African apartheid government shot down unarmed protestors, killing 69 black men, women and children. Most of the dead were shot in the back, and nearly 200 more were wounded.

Obama felt no sense of outrage to hear Hiroshima and Sharpeville mentioned in the same breath. Indeed, he was so inspired by the sermon that he uses the sermon's title -- "Audacity of Hope" -- for his second book, and as the theme of his campaign!

In "Dreams," Obama tells of how he met Wright. Obama made an appointment at Wright's church to meet the pastor. Wright was late. While waiting, Obama spoke with Wright's assistant, a single mom whose husband had just died. She told Obama that she intended to leave Chicago and move to the suburbs to escape the violence. She also wanted her son to attend a better school. Her son, she said, wanted to join a band, and his school didn't have one. His future school had a band and free uniforms (pages 280-284). "'He's always wanted to be in a band,' she said softly" (page 281). When Obama told Wright of his assistant's plans, Wright said he tried to talk her out of it. Why? Wright argued that the boy "won't have a clue about where, or who, he is"?! Obama joined the church.

Next week, more about Obama, including Bill Ayers, Iraq, ACORN and the financial crisis.

The Case Against John McCain
I do not care if a candidate is black or white. I do not care if a candidate is a war hero, I do not care is a candidate is a republican or a democrat. All I care about is if the candidate is intelligent enough to get this nation out of the mess we are in now.

I am an Arizona Republican but I will not be voting for John McCain. Why? Because, with the problems in the US and the world is facing today the nation needs intelligence in the White House.

Lets see my choice is John McCain or that smart black man Barack Obama?

McCain who does not know how to use a computer but is willing to learn if we elect him – I’ll just vote for that smart black man.

My Choices are: John McCain who says the economic downturn is psychological? - Na! I'll vote for the smart black man.

McCain who says you are better off under George Bush? - Nope I'll vote for the smart black man.

Mc Cain who wants to continue killing more people looking for weapons of mass destruction that do not exist? - Gee! I'll vote for the smart black man.

McCain who believes that we should stay the course but is not willing to support the people he puts in harms way. - I'll take a chance on the smart black man.

Should I vote for a man that does not know that 9-11 was caused by Osama Bin Laden not Sedam Hussein? - Easy! I'll vote for the smart black man.

Vote for the man who does not know if the Sunnis or Sheits are our enemies? - No way I'll vote for the smart black man.

Vote for the man who helped put our government on the China, Saudi Arabia credit card? - Not a chance I'll vote for the smart black man.

Vote for the man with the worst temper in the Senate to have his finger on the nuclear button? - No way - I’m voting for the smart black man, Barack Obama.

McCain can win with the economy issue!
The Economy is what most people are concerned about. McCain can win on the economy if we promote a grass roots effort that will get the country angry at the real culprits. If Republicans send out emails like I did to everyone on my email address list, then McCain could win! Elected public officials will only accept emails from their constituents.
Therefore I have access to only a few Republican politicians. If enough people who receive this email will email their friends, Republican representatives at every level from local to the president and every conservative talk show host then America will get the message.

This was the message;

------------------------------------------------

I apologize for sending this unsolicited email, but I feel every American would like to know who caused our financial collapse which is causing your 401k and your home value to sink in value. We have been betrayed, not by the obvious greed of the banks, but by our congressmen who caused this to happen.

Let’s not put the fox in charge of the hen house. Please view all six sections of the very clearly produced video at the following link.

The site can also be googled by the phrase, telelprompter saving our economy.
