Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

A "jealous rage," Fox's Geraldo Rivera called it.

Before taping a "Fox & Friends" segment, Rev. Jesse Jackson, with his microphone on, sat next to another man. Turning to him, Jackson, speaking softly, launched into an attack on Barack Obama. "Barack, he's talking down to black people on this faith-based …" said Jackson. "I want to cut (Obama's) nuts off."

Even before Fox aired the remarks, Jackson appeared on CNN and offered a pre-emptive apology. "I said something I felt regret for," said Jackson. "It was crude. It was very private and very much a sound bite -- and a live mike. And so I feel -- I find no comfort in it. I find no joy in it. So I immediately called the senator's campaign to send my statement of apology to repair the harm or hurt that this may have caused his campaign, because I support it unequivocally."

But why did he say it?

Yes, Jackson ran for the presidency in 1984, and even more credibly in 1988. Geraldo, as do others, suggest the green-eyed monster -- envy. And what about a possible personal dislike of Obama? When the senator first announced his candidacy, Jackson withheld his endorsement. Jackson later criticized Obama because, in Jackson's opinion, Obama only mildly weighed in on the Jena Six "scandal." Jackson accused Obama of "acting like he's white." Still, Jackson's outburst seems too over-the-top, far too angry.

Did Obama incur Jackson's wrath because of the candidate's shifts and flip-flops on a number of issues -- Iraq, Iran, FISA, NAFTA, the death penalty, abortion, the Second Amendment, the disposition of Jerusalem, the abandonment of his former pastor (Rev. Wright) and his church of 20 years, and public financing of election campaigns? Apparently not. Jackson made no reference to Obama's newfound positions.

What about differences of opinion between Jackson and Obama on policy and ideology? No, since both denounce the Bush administration, oppose the Iraq war, support universal health care, want taxes raised on the so-called rich, and seek a playing-field-leveling governmental role in education, job training and welfare.

What about Obama's condemnation of men who irresponsibly breed children and then abandon them? Obama, a few weeks earlier, before a predominantly black church audience in Chicago, said: "We need fathers to realize that responsibility does not end at conception. That doesn't just make you a father. What makes you a man is not the ability to have a child. Any fool can have a child. That doesn't make you a father. It's the courage to raise a child that makes you a father. … Don't just sit in the house and watch 'SportsCenter' all weekend long. … (Kids should) replace the video game or the remote control with a book once in a while."

Now we're getting warm.

Recall that Jackson, while mentoring then-President Bill Clinton over his Monica Lewinsky problems, brought a co-worker to the White House -- his mistress. Jackson even took a photo of the visibly pregnant woman and the president in the Oval Office. So Obama's comment, which describes the destructive and destabilizing phenomenon that black actor/comedian/activist Bill Cosby calls "unwed fathers," perhaps struck too close to home for Jackson.

But there's more.

Obama's success suggests that America edges closer and closer to Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream of evaluating people based on content of character rather than color of skin. Obama, on the 42nd anniversary of Bloody Sunday, the civil rights march in Selma, Ala., said: "The previous generation, the Moses generation, pointed the way. They took us 90 percent of the way there. We still got that 10 percent in order to cross over to the other side."

Even Jackson, in one of his "nuts" apologies, said of Obama: "He's running the last lap of a 54-year marathon. He is running that race. I am a part of that race."

So, again, why the ugly, demeaning remark?

Jackson, and his race-card-waving cohorts, derive stature, power, significance and self-enrichment by claiming that racism remains a serious problem in America. After complaining about the lack of minority beer distributorships, for example, Jackson's sons ended up with a lucrative Anheuser-Busch distributorship in Chicago. Author Kenneth Timmerman, in his book "Shakedown," describes the Jackson modus operandi -- playing the race card for self-enrichment, as well as that of friends and family.

Rather than display pleasure at America's obvious progress, or pride in his role in getting us there, the anachronistic Jackson now morphs into a shrinking, petulant, self-pitying "leader" -- with little left to lead.

Good news for America; bad news for Jackson.

The final aria
This column was likely written before the news came out about further statements made by the reverend Jackson.

Yes, my children, it seems that the dear civil rights leader used the "N" word himself when describing Obama's talking down to the black population.

When that is well known, it's bye bye Jesse.

Good Riddance
The sooner Jackson can be excised as a so-called spokesman for blacks the better. IMHO the man is a hypocrite, racist, and race baiter.

I'm with Elders 100% on this one.

Will - - -
SO, what you're telling us is that you have nothing of substance to say against Larry Elder, other than some fairly unoriginal ad homenim attacks?

Ok, we get it. You don't like Larry Elder. You feel compelled to listen to him day in and day out, but you don't like him.

Maybe it's your masochism surfacing again ... yes, reach for the Kleenex ...

It's galling that ..
.. the nation's co-chief race-hustling poverty p*mp (Al Sharpton being the other co-chief) is still referred to as "the reverend." The mainstream press all do it, but why should a conservative like Larry Elder fall for it? Just call Jackson "Jesse" or "Messy Jesse" and leave the "Rev." off. The fraud deserves zero respect. (And I voted for him in California's 1988 Democratic presidential primary, to my lasting shame.)

This would make a great movie!
Much like Citizen Kane, the Jesse Jackson story starts with a man fighting for justice and civil rights. Once accomplished he uses the race card for self enrichment and becomes visibly shaken when he sees another man as the beneficiary of his earlier, but not later, actions.

Paul -- uhhhh
Well, like it or not, he *is* a minister.

And don't worry about voting for him: even Larry's Mom made that mistake once!

the teflon duck
Jesse is the man for any hour. He's an institution and he's not going anywhere. He is known as the teflon duck because what he can't duck just slides off. Build a bridge and get over it, Jesse is here to stay.

I find Larry's persistent Obama-bashing
curious in this regard: Obama has, more than any other african-american in history, changed the political spectrum in a serious way with regards to race.

Obama allows us to confront our own deepest, latent racism. In a way that Jackson or Al Sharpton (or for that matter, Larry Elder) never could because Jackson and Sharpton and Elder are all semi-obnoxious partisan didacts.

Larry disagrees with Obama politically, that's one thing. But the constant stream of bad-mouthing and "clever" trashing - all for the sake of filling a mediocre three hour radio show.

Obama is much more important to the culture than ten or twelve Larry Elders or Jesse Jacksons.

Will
I find it curious that you interpret this column as Obama-bashing. He's clearly criticizing Jackson for the way he infuses race into everything and has a stake in keeping racism alive in the country so he can stay relevant. Maybe you need to read the column again, this time without the Kleenex box next to you.

Was This Planned?
If the Clintons have taught us anything about Democrat politics; it's that there are no coincidences. Obama needs distance between himself and Jesse Jackson's overt racism, and voila... distance.

As I said before, TOO LATE JESSE!

Michele got there first!

How do I know?

Barak is a Leftie, and is therefore a neutered male, as far as I am concerned. This means that Jesse Jackson is making empty threats.

more important to the culture?
I must be missing something. Obama is a politician, nothing more, who will say or do anything to get elected. He is smoother than Jesse ever was, and he wrote in his memoirs about how he figured out how to internalize things so that he wouldn't scare white people. His words, not mine.

A Chicago politician, who has learned to be a fake - is that redundant?

On the other hand, we have Mr. Elder, who supports the Fair Tax (which would completely change the tax culture of Washington), favors school choice (which would break the culture of mediocrity in education), and is critical of the war on drugs (potentially changing our legal culture).

Who's culturally irrelevant?

THANK GOD Bush has a set...
....of REALLY BIG ONES to think with!!! All the BIG BRAINS have NO Cajones, not even ones to think with, let alone use!

Oh boy, Will....
....the experience of Obama appears to have been a huge catharsis for you. It has done no such thing for me.
To me, he's a very young (wet behind the ears) inexperienced (by his own admission) person who happens to have learned how to present himself as cool, hip, and the camera likes him.
Furthermore, it would be wise to be wary of almost anyone (Obama) who is so quickly endorsed by the Kennedys.

Sez Who?
*Obama's success suggests that America edges closer and closer to Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream of evaluating people based on content of character rather than color of skin. *

Um, this is why every time anyone criticizes Obama, his handlers shriek YOUARACIST!?

This is why 98% of the Black folks are voting for him and the rest are *Acting White* or *Race Traitors*?

This is why Obama himself made a speech in Florida pointing out to anyone who has yet to notice *And did I mention he is Black?*

Nup. This is NOT proof that Dr. Kings dream is *edging closer.* This is proof that Black folks fully expect that when their Messiah is elected, it will be Their Turn.

Black folks do not want equality...they want REVENGE.

And as for Je$$e? He is a fairly common trope among the old time Southern Black Folk and he fully expects to get an important position in the Obama Presidency where he can strut in front of the cameras 24/7.

How Many Times Does It Take?
Hey Jesse, when are you going to learn? You are a national figure. Zip it!

Jesse: early alzheimers?

i just think he's slipping; how the hell old is he? or as i said the other day, maybe he had a few sips from his canteen before going on tv.

brotio: no conspiracy, you give them too much credit. Besides, cui bono? to whose benefit? doesn't need to court libs, won't change conserv voters, not interesting enough dialogue to catch middle 20% on their summer vacations.

Will: you are more obsessed about Larry Elder than he is about JJ, as you claim.

PS: re: fat lady
Can we retire this tired cliche?

Racists should take no comfort
Racists [yeah, us republicans know who you are] should not take any comfort from the rantings of people like Jackson who have made racism big business.

Some of us white folks helped create the Jacksons of the world. I remember as a boy wondering why those people would face cops, fire hoses, beatings and threatened death just to sit at a lunch counter to eat. Now as a man I understand the courage it took.

So, yeah, Jackson has become a joke. But he was there on the line while some of us white folks were wondering what the big deal was.

The Fat Lady Has Sung ....
I hope the fat lady has sung the last song for Jackson. The world will be a better place when his kind are gone or at least not prominate!

A Couple of Things
First, it was Jackson's buddy who first said he wants to cut his f'ing nuts off.

Most cognitive people know that Jackson has done very little for the black community, and is basically the proverbial Black Mafia who extorts money and contracts from unbeknownst corporations to line his own pockets for the "good of the community." With all of his money, and we're talking close to billions, how does his people fair?

I'm glad he had a blooper, but there's no more to it than that. Jealousy? Maybe, who knows?

As far as Obama talking down to the black community, I think not, they need to hear this. However, who Obama is talking down to is us.

Remember when every liberal swooned and melted that Obama is so articulate and speaks so well? Notice when he gets together with his race of choice, this being the black community, his manner of speech and articulateness goes out the window and he sounds just like Rochester from the Benny Goodman show?

Yeah, you've all been played. He doesn't need to play the black JFK anymore, he's now a rated G Chris Rock.

A Little Personal Blurp About Jesse
Back in the 60's, my aunt, a little white Jewish hippie, was hit on relentlessly by Jackson who was very persistant in asking her out.

She refused.

Perhaps if she had accepted, he may not hated whitie as much as he does.

To be politically correct...
...the title of this article should refer to 'the height-challenged opera diva.'

Or maybe 'the horizontally-enhanced uterus-bearing person.'

I can't believe in this day and age people still refer to 'the fat lady.'

*cough*

will
there is nothing larry can say to make j.jackson any worse than he already is. personal vendetta? i think not. j.jackson has perpetuated racism and prejudice almost his whole career. even most of the blacks i know hate him. even most of the blacks i know realize there would be just a little less hatred in this world if j.jackson would keep his mouth shut. he is one of the most prominent racists i have ever seen in my 60 years. as far as being called reverand, well, he does not deserve that title. he is way too filled with hatred. so is wright. i would never label either with that respectful title. i would not even dignify either with the title of "mr.". i hope to see the end of j.jacksons hatred and prejudice in my lifetime.

Shells, perhaps your aunt
had accepted The Rev's advances, you would have another cousin floating around. ;)

MLK'S DREAM - A WHITE FANTASY

.....Larry ...

.....Let's face facts man, it is whites who praise MLK's dream and try to make it a reality ...I don't hear too many blacks saying just judge me by my character and my ability ...if they did then they would reject Affirmative action and the percs of quotas ...

.....With blacks it is all about race ...they are just riding Obama's coattails now but Jesse is still a homeboy ...he hasn't been rejected and he'll be back if Obama loses the election with his "I told you so" ...and his race card .....COLOSSUS

Will
"Obama allows us to confront our own deepest, latent racism. In a way that Jackson or Al Sharpton (or for that matter, Larry Elder) never could because Jackson and Sharpton and Elder are all semi-obnoxious partisan didacts."

Obama isn't allowing "us" to do anything. Maybe you're the one with the deep, latent racism. There you lefties go again bringing up race. You do realize that you are the only ones that do it, right? Don't give me this garbage.

People don't like Obama because of his far left values. It has almost nothing to do with race. The guy is an empty suit who speaks in nothing but platitudes. There is absolutely no substance.

Jesse's first nut job target
Long ago Jesse wanted to be the QB for the Univ. of Illinois. His lament on not being selected was that it was a racist decison. The charge may have failed only because the man selected happened to also be labeled as a black!

It may have been the only time his formula to self promote via real or imagined evidences gave him the pathway to undeserved wealth.

Will we ever turn him off?

Unca Alby
No it is that whole thing about libs going into McDonalds every day ordering the same thing and expecting something different.
will has never shown much imagination he is like a wobbie lite.

"will" and people like him...
... are in for a huge shock come November, assuming Obama even clears Denver with the nomination.

There are troubling indications that Obama was a flash in the pan, and I haven't counted out the "Clinton Machine" yet.

End To Race Hustling
Jesse Jackson has made a livelihood out of being a Race Hustler. He never has found a cause he could not Hustle Into A Racial Issue. The efforts of Jesse Jackson and others of his ilk have done more to harm Blacks in this country than anyone else. Teaching people how to play The Race Card Game has taught Irresponsibility and a sense of Victimhood in many. There are some crimes, for example, that are inexcusable whether the perpetrator was white or black. Jesse has made a Good Living without ever having held a real job. His only activity in life has been In Promoting Victimology and Teach Irresponsibility and No Accountability. This has done more to harm blacks than anybody else.

It is time to turn Jesse Jackson and other Race Hustlers who make their living by Causing Division every opportunity they get. There is discrimination on the part of many people today. But, it is not just a bunch of white discriminators as Jesse and others claim. The likes of Jesse Jackson have created a lot Of Blacks who Discriminate against whites in cities and states all over this country. Try and get elected to public office in Birmingham, Alabama, if you happen to be white. This mentality has caused blacks for years to keep electing corrupt and incompetent leaders. They are not corrupt and incompetent because they are black. They are blacks who just happen to be Corrupt and Incompetent. Just like Obama.

We have to begin electing the most qualified and honest men and women we can find, and not because of Race, which is what is happening now.

It is time we end Racism. Ending the careers of Race Hustlers such as Jackson would be a Giant Leap in this Direction. It would be good for All The Citizens of This Country. IT is time to start Promoting Responsibility.

Unca Alby
When does Will EVER have anything to say worth hearing? Maybe it is hard for him to type while bent over.

Passing him by!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The best thing all news stations could do is not have Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton on all the time. Both of these men use the race card to make a living, and nothing else. They need to find out what it would be like to actually go get a job and have to work. They both speak like they have a mouth full nuts! There are many of color who can talk inteligently and not have to use uh, oh, uh all the time. I think we now have in the US reverse racisim, how can a country heal if it is being preached from the pulpit. That is not what christians should be about, hating and wanting to get even. I say off with the old and on with the new. Jesse and Al, by by.

Will
You are so obsessed with homoerotica. I'm surprised you have time to troll TH.

First you charged Medved with "sodomizing Obama over and over again" (Wha?!)

Now you accuse Larry Elder of getting off on this story.

You're not only icky. You're weird.

Get a life.

Preferably elsewhere.

Could the Incident be Intentional?
I also heard on this morning’s news that Jackson’s open mike statement included additional derogatory comments about Barak Obama and our Country’s African American’s. However, for some reason I am not convinced that this incident involving Jackson was not staged by the Obama campaign, with Jackson knowingly to be the fall guy. Why? As a means of presenting Obama to the American public as less radical than he really is (by showing the American public that he is different from Jesse and his flock) in order to appeal to centrist Democrats and Independents for votes in the general election.

What I don't get
is why everyone is so shocked by what Jasckson said!

This is par for the course for him and he has been doing it for years.

will
Are you really and truly that dumb?

Guess so!!!

He'll Have To Be Carried Out
The poverty-pimping demagogue will never leave the stage willingly. US corporations are his enablers. I can't even understand what he's saying. Literally. Does the Rev have a speech impediment?

Jospeh
You're right! And what would've been better, Jesse could've been my rich uncle and perhaps given me my own brewery with his shakedowns!

RE:Will
Larry Elder said nothing negative about Obama in this article.

Shells
I remember Rochester but that was the Jack Benny Show. Those were the days - eh?

Obama's Responsibility Comments..
I do not like Obama and will not vote for him. However as a Black woman I was VERY happy with the comments that he made in his Fathers Day speech. It is a sad day indeed when speaking the TRUTH in my community is considered talking down. Furthermore, Obama is at least walking the walk, in the sense that his children were born in wedlock and he is a good father. The same cannot be said for "Rev". Jackson.

There is more to Jackson's anger than
might be, then it is not surprising that Will and others go orgasmic at the mere mention of Obama's name, and totally ballistic against all who speak ill of him. If B. Hussein Obama indeed becomes president, then it is very possible he will be our second closet homosexual president, Lincoln, I believe, being the first. There

Nonprodigal
Jack Benny! bah! I can't believe I typed Benny Goodman!!!

Thanks for the correction. I wasn't born during the Jack Benny radio days, but I recall hearing Rochester's voice all the time as a kid when my grandparents would be watching or listening to Jack Benny's shows.

Jackson & Obama

The only gifting these pscudo-politicians have is mimicry! Both of them are cut from the same cloth and do not care about the people or America.
They are both in love with themselves.
They both represent a threat to the blacks.
They both need a backbone more than the other part mentioned.
This is a well written article!
Thanks, Mr. Elder

There could be more to Jackson's
anger than meets the eye. If rumors are true, as I suspect they very well could be, then it is not surprising that Will and others on the left go absolutely orgasmic at the mere mention B. Hussein Obama's name. If he indeed wins the election, he will become the second closet homosexual president of the U.S., Lincoln--from what I gather--being the first. It does not escape notice that some of the most strident male voices raised in ecstatic praise of the Supreme Obama, are also some of the most feminine. Jackson may be operating more on some knowledge he has of Obama's (ahem) sexual proclivities, rather than any envy of his popularity.

Wow
"..then it is not surprising that Will and others on the left go absolutely orgasmic at the mere mention B. Hussein Obama's name. If he indeed wins the election, he will become the second closet homosexual president of the U.S., Lincoln--from what I gather--being the first. It does not escape notice that some of the most strident male voices raised in ecstatic praise of the Supreme Obama, are also some of the most feminine."

I left to do some work and returned to find that quickly the conversation has degenerated.

my 2 cents
1) jj & bo are both veterans of Chicago politics.
2) In Chicago politics is a BLOOD sport.
3) Even his supporters acknowledge that in all his years in public life jj has NEVER seen a mic or camera that he doesn't like.
4) Given points 1 thru 3 to me it is a given that JJ KNEW THE MIC WAS ON.

Now some background - what issues have dominated the news (read - MSM) lately?

a) jj's offer to make bo a gelding and then
b) the sublimely ignorant cover of the New Yorker.

Still with me?

cui bono?

Renee
No, the incident is genuine. Je$$e has a history of such commentary. Or perhaps you believe his "Hymietown" remark was a set-up to make the New York Jews look good?

Bye, Bye Jackson?
No way! Oh, it won't be HIM, probably, but the American blacks (aka African-Americans) will continue to play the race card every time.

Every large city has a JJ: Houston has Kwanel X, a black guy who makes a living "fighting racism", and if he can't find it, he manufactures it. X even called the two illegal hispanic aliens that Joe Horn shot "Negroes".

When will real Americans wake up? We have nothing to feel guilty about in the 21st century. We never owned slaves and there are no blacks living here who were slaves. So what's the problem?

People like JJ, X and others who simply milk the liberals for all they're worth. Black racism is the problem, not white racism.

je$$e and b hussein
it seems more of a conflict between two hustlers trying for the same limelight.

Je$$e due to his coronation by the msm years ago as the spokesperson for all things black and anything remotely related to race can't stand the reality a bright new boy has shown up to steal his thunder.

Meanwhile we have the msm's new messiah, b hussein, who is going to bridge the racial divide as well as save us all from ourselves. Under B hussein there will be universal health coverage, more jobs, a cleaner environment, world peace, america will again be popular with the rest of the world, plus he will assist the UN in ending world poverty through our tax dollars, and he will enlarge the entitlement plantation but under his direction will finally make it work.

Of course all he wants in exchange is an additional 15% in taxes, the govt. will get to make more choices for all americans and there can be no criticism less he get his feelings hurt'

But as the new chief economist, b hussein believes he can tax and spend america to prosperity.

Much of america learned je$$e was a fraud and race hustler. It seems that the glow is slipping from b hussein as well and we see that he is just another smooth talking politician promising much but knowing the dims and the libs/leftists/socialists never really expect him to deliver on his many promises.

But like flies drawn to a light bulb on a dark night, the left thinks this snake oil salesman is their salvation

Motley Crue, Bleep you
It does no good for someone on a conservative website to say that Nobama is gay, never mind old Abe. That just gives ammunition to our opponents. Anyway, whatever you say about BHussein, Michelle is hotttttttttttttt.

Momlady, I like your rhetoric,
and will now adopt the term Je$$e from now on, too.

The truth has come out...
Several years ago, a black preacher friend of mine made this statement to his congregation: "Jesse Jackson ain't trying to help nobody but Jesse Jackson!" Needless to say, he took a lot of flak for that statement, but he didn't back down.

I'm glad to say that my friend has finally been vindicated.

This is not Obama bashing
this is an encapsulated forward movement for America. In a way it's an admission that the divide between the both races, the African and the total American have come to fruition in a Person who alone represents both. As conservative as I am, I believe that under different circumstances i.e., a different platform not leftist-not rightist- not socialistic or idealistic Mr. Obama would have represented the real hope for the future, the true redemption of America. He made some mistakes along the way...to wit: 1)he married Michelle Robinson... 2)Reverend Wright...20 years of Rev. Wright...who altered his perception of race in America and spoke about the white man keeping him down...3) the Ayres...association.
I'm glad Mr. Elders can step out and recognize that the you owe me mentality is something to snap out of. Let go brothers and sisters, go forth and prosper.

RE: Obama's Flip Flops
This is one of those election years that I should change my name to "None Ofthe Above". I would be a shoo-in for Pres.

I still don't know if I will hold my nose on November 4th or go fishing.

My, my, my.... how did we get here?

Jackson the Jew hater

Thirty years or so ago, I often played tennis with a man who had been an Under-Secretary of some kind on Pres. Nixon’s cabinet. He often told stories of his experience with Jackson.

Jackson would come into this man’s office (and others), and in the most vulgar, profane, language would cuss out this man, Nixon, and especially Jews.

My friend was a Jew, and Jackson knew he was a Jew, but he said Jackson’s hate and anti-semitism was the worst he had even experienced, from anyone. This friend had been one of the lawyers at Nuremberg, and earlier had played in a “big band” and had composed some famous songs.

Joseph. Stop being defensive.
I didn't say anything about Obama being gay, as far as I'm concerned he could be as jolly as old saint Nick. Obviously you have a reading and comprehension problem. The term I used was, if I am not mistaken, homosexual. And as far as "Bleep" me goes, I must say I'm flattered, but sorry, I do not engage in deviant sexual practices. And as for Michelle Obama being "Hot." Perhaps I might suggest a visit to an optometrist. There's definitely a problem with your eyesight.

Jackson is an idiot
Everyone knows Jackson is an idiot. Only white liberals offer him any credibility - and he's an embarrassment to them too!

His inability to construct a sentence and paragraph that is clear and understandable is legendary. Most of the time you have to guess at what he might possibly mean.

Polysyllabic babbling is pretentious – and – hides true intent.

John Simon

jim
Your story about Jackson's anti-Semitism is interesting, but not a bit surprising. After all, this is the same man who referred to New York as "Hymietown."

What next???
I simply can't believe this is all happening.

I keep thinking that I'll wake up...yawn...and pledge never to eat pickles and ice cream again within the same hour...

Motley, did you or did you not write
at 1:11 prm EST, that "if he [Obama] wins he will become the 2nd closet homosexual president of the U.S., Lincoln..being the first."

Or were you misquoted, or were you a victim of identity theft?

Joseph, dear fellow.
That is exactly what I wrote. And as I stated in my second post, I used the correct term to describe Obama. Now. You can call him gay, jolly, humorously perverted, joyously deviant or any one of a hundred euphemisms. I really don't care. I stated my thoughts and stated them quite succinctly. I'm amazed that you fail to grasp the essence of my comments. Oh, and BTW. Your last comment was, I presume, an attempt at wit. Believe me when I say this, Joseph. It failed.

why Geraldo?
I hate to see this door knob used in any article but as always Larry was right on. The Dinosaurs Al, Jesse, Calypso Louie are about to become extinct. I really wish Bill O would quit giving them air time, Hannity too. The problem is also the replacements though. Marc Lamont Hill and that Opio fool are the poster children for why affirmative action doesn't work. Oh well, at least Mcworter gets some air time. Cheers!

Jesse forgot he was on Fox
If this had happened on CNN or MSNBC, those remarks would never have seen the light of day. Jesse is used to getting cover from the media.

Conservatives have learned that anything they say on camera or off, can and will be used against them. The Libs have had it easy all these years. They are used to their mistakes getting lost in the editing room.

Thanks, King liberal, although
it feels weird to have you as an ally!

Motley Crue (they s*cked as a band, btw), you say "I stated my thoughts..." Your thoughts are less than worthless. how about stating some facts, some evidence. If not, put up or shut up--permanently. Unsubstantiated slander is a crime.

Jackson's Game Show
For those of you who have commented on Jackson's inability to speak clearly, you might find it amusing to know there is a radio show called "What the H-ll Did He Say?" The show runs clips of something Jackson said. Callers to the show try to guess what it is he said. It is hilarious! I wish I could remember on which station the show is aired. I found the show by accident one night flipping through radio channels in my car.

Tsk tsk, there you go again, King Lib.
I do not recall addressing my remarks to the peanut gallery, but there you are, popping up with all the regularity of a fat man's fart. I would suggest you cool off. A simple and expedient flush of the toilet, while burying your head as far into the bowl as possible, should do the trick.

Buck. Rumors abound. That's all
I can tell you. But horrors if we dare mention them. Yes. There is a general consensus of opinion that old Abe did more than give great speeches. He evidently had a full time male secretary who slept in his bed more often than his wife. As to Obama, there's no smoking gun other than claims by male hooker types that they've made whoopee in the backs of limos, but it wouldn't be the first time a married man with children was a little light on his feet.

Motley, slither back under the rock
from whence you emerged. I take it by your feeble riposte of 5:41 est that you have no evidence for which i challenged you. You have exposed yourself as a fraud. Of course I will vote for McCain, the lesser of 2 evils. Unless you have done the horizontal bop with BHussein, or can cite some credible evidence, silence yourself.

Joseph.
I could care less who you vote for. Now run along and play with yourself.

Mea Culpa redux
Jerkson just apologized AGAIN!! Remember the orgy of apologies every time a GOPer made a minor gaffe? They STILL crucified him AND anyone who tried to deflect the heat from him. WHERE are the legions of newsies roasting Jerkson's maggot eaten keester?

Motley,

thanks for confirming to all the TH world that you are an inhabitant of the moronosphere, by offering ZERO evidence of your cretinous allegations. again, allegations of 'playing with oneself' show you to be the adolescent (of mind, if not chronological age) that you are.

Next time you come to an intellectual gun fight, don't just bring a knife. Go back crying to mommie now.

Joseph. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

The 'N' Word
My grandfather owned saw-mills and a plainer-mill with unlimited amounts of trees for processing into lumber. He was also the machinist who sharpened, set and balanced the 'plainer blades' that processed his perfect lumber.

Paw Paw had a nick name for just about all of the Negroes who worked for him. He also had a name for those who were lazy and did not show for work on Monday morning...'burrhead'.

I 'worked' for him every summer from 1947 ‘til 1955 at his mills in Louisville, MS with a bunch of Negroes and especially one who 'taught me the ropes' called "Bulldog" because of the way he approached his work. He made Charles Atlas look like a wimp.

My playmates where white boys and Negroes my age. We played baseball mostly. Other games were king of the mountain on the sawdust piles, shooting marbles, pitching washers, spinning tops, mumbly peg, kick the can, barrel staves races, foot and bicycle races.

I rarely heard the word n----- used. Some adults used it in a derogatory way. We, the children, did not know anything about racism then. We just called each other by name.

I realize now the blacks were treated as second class citizens when I was a young lad. They just always lived on the other side of the tracks. I believe racism is taught by the parents and elders of white and black children and this is why it still exists today.

Other words, too many to mention, have derived from and used to replace the word Negro. I joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1955 and retired in 1986. All the blacks in my Marine Corps were and always will be…MARINES.

Adults created racism. Our youth will end it.

joseph
I am sure we are even more impressed that you find king lib as your comrade in arms in the debate. You have successfully labeled yourself as someone to be ignored as insignificant by joining king lib.

Buck: buck you
Motley, thanks for showing that you only have a cerebellum, no cerebrum. Be nice to your attendants this evening.

Buck. Re: your post #79
These are substantive questions, sire, and as such must be weighed carefully before formulating a logical and cogent reply. Perhaps Joseph, with his obvious knowledge of such matters, will take up the cudgel and deliver a coherent and satisfactory response. Oh, wait a minute. Given his previous comments, I doubt he will be able to formulate anything beyond a few grunts and clicks.

Dave. You are on the money. Cheers.

Dave: re King Lib,
even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

All I asked is that all hat/no cattle Motley Crue cite us some credible evidence that BHO is batting from the other side of the plate, light in the loafers, etc. If he can, wonderful, I will eat the requisite humble pie. If not, he, and you, should shaddup. Stop giving the conservative movement a bad name by making spurious allegations

joseph
you are right, when I read your posts I found a nut

Joseph.
May I suggest you purchase a copy (used or new) of The Care And Feeding of Squirrels. Who knows, your mommy may toss you from the basement and you may have to feed yourself.

Ok Dave, we'll switch to you--
do you, apparently unlike Motley Crue, have any evidence that Nobama bats from both sides of the plate?

If not, put on your usual dunce cap, and report to the corner until you have come to your senses, which will probably be never.

Not to be harsh, but we CANNOT throw these unsubstantiated charges around. There are plenty of provable matters to show that O'Bama, like the dopey 40 something president from my commonwealth, Jack the Zipper Kennedy, are totally unqualified to be POTUS.

joseph
point out where I made any allegations against b hussein, concerning what his sexual proclivity might be. He is married with children.

There was a report in the news that someone was suing him over alledged gay activities. We all know anyone can sue over any matter. Until it is proven to the contrary I have no reason to suspect b hussein of being other than a hetero

King Lib I was certain
"Motley Crue" was one of yours!

Dangit!

Joseph
""All I asked is that all hat/no cattle Motley Crue cite us some credible evidence that BHO is batting from the other side of the plate, light in the loafers, etc. If he can, wonderful, I will eat the requisite humble pie. Hey Joseph, Motley crue's post was made up of the same stuff that "Bush Lied people Died" came from. Or "Big Oil is causing High gas prices", in other words it's pure fantasy.

You should understand fantasy quite well considering Obama's entire presidential platform is created out of it.

NObama '08
Seig Heil is now "Yes We Can!".

Dave.
You're wasting your time with Joseph. He's not interested in hearing it. I told Buck that there was no actual smoking gun, just male hooker types claiming back seat trysts with Obama. I started it by speculating that if rumor were true, we could end up with our second closet homosexual in the office. Having children proves nothing, one way or the other.

Dear heavens
How did we get from Elder's reasonable discussion of Jackson's faux pas to whether Lincoln and Obama are gay?

For the record, there has been at least one book published, "the Intimate World of Abraham Lincoln," which alleged such. As something of a history buff, all I can say of the book is that if you believe J. Edgar Hoover was gay, you'll come away thinking Lincoln was queerer than Barney Frank and Elton John combined. On the other hand, if you have never seen any convincing evidence that Hoover was gay, you'll think author C.A. Tripp is the biggest fraud since Milli Vanilli.

That's the great thing about writing about dead people -- they can't sue for libel. Obama, OTOH, is very much alive.

This does raise a question -- if BHO was accused of "switch-hitting," would he deny it? Or would he embrace the label in solidarity with one of the Donkey Party's core voting blocks?

Momlady. One of King lib's what?
You must be new to TH or totally off your rocker. Check my post #72.

Joseph
Someone on another TH thread brought up the allegations re: Obama's hetero creds the other day. An accuser was named--Larry somebody?

I googled the dude. Turns out he's a criminal w/quite a record; most of his crimes are those involving "deceit."

Like you I often wish people would exercise more judgement in their comments. Such spurious allegations should not be thrown around like this--not even on the internet, imho.

It gives conservatives a bad name precisely because it is beneath the dignity of honest brokers to spread lies in the public square.

Guess the right and the left both have their share of nut jobs!

C'est la vie! aka Asi es la vida! aka That's life!

That's three languages in which I can sound like a sanguine European. I hope Obama would be proud! =P

One of his LIBERAL teammates
That's what!

Are you afraid I was linking you with him in an "impure manner?"

Not hardly.

Although I had considered suggesting that you and Buck get a room! You're both so obsessed with allegations re: the sexual escapades of others.

The rest of us DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!!

motely crue
there is no evidence that lincoln was a homo. It was common for persons to share beds in boarding houses as there were not many of them and sharing a room and a bed was common practice.

For travelers it was not out of the unusual to sleep in a room and share a bed with several strangers as well.

The gay crowd has seized upon this as evidence that lincoln was one of them. Without others verifying he was a toe tapper I consider this another in the long line of urban legends, open for speculation but impossible to prove.

JP. Your post #92
Don't agree. Unsubstantiated perhaps, but not fantasy. See you in the chat room.

ML. Then stay off TH.
.

OK, thanks Dave and Motley,
at least now you have at least referred to at least the flimsiest rumors of nobama engaging in an alternative lifestyle. that's better than nothing, which you were offering before.

and doc liberty: you refer to "the intimate world of Abraham Lincoln," alleging his preference for men of the masculine gender. Thank you for labelling those as "allegations," for that is what they are. What they all boil down to is that when Abe and some of the other circuit riding lawyers found an inn in the winter, sometimes they would sleep in the same bed. Calling such circumstances "homo" is anachronistic projection from our time to theirs.

Dave, Motley, and Doc Liberty, would such allegations about you make them true? what happened to "innocent until proven guilty?"

Again, I repeat: Bad Rack is totally unqualified to be the POTUS. but let's defeat him on the real issues, not this weak garbage.

bon soir.

my 2 cents
"America edges closer and closer to Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream of evaluating people based on content of character rather than color of skin."

Mr. Elder, a LOT of us are there already, apparently more than you think. To put it bluntly that is why I will NOT vote for Barack Obama. I have no problem with a black man for president, I DO have a problem with THAT black man for president.

BO and his handlers know that as long as they can keep the "racism" issue alive it will accomplish two things - get the last possible juice out of the "white liberal guilt" plant and divert attention from other issues, such as his naivete on international affairs.

Dave.
I understand that travelers shared beds. But not the POTUS. Read The Intimate World of Abraham Lincoln. Not sure of the author, but should be easy to find.

MC
As I read some of your posts I couldn't help thinking,"How old is this guy (who probably lives in his mother's basement)?"

And I realized that my 13 year old son posts more intelligently about politics and current events than you do.

=P

Joseph
""Again, I repeat: Bad Rack is totally unqualified to be the POTUS. but let's defeat him on the real issues, not this weak garbage.""

On this subject i have to agree with you.

There are literally Hundreds of legitimate reasons to say NObama '08. Playing with silly rumors actually plays into the dem playbook.

If the dems can make the campaign about whether he's gay or not, muslim or not, has big ears or whatever, it's less time we can spend demanding answers for his Socialistic tendencies.

Momlady.
From your pathetic attempts at dialog, I can only conclude your immediate progenitors communicated by a series of clicks and grunts, so it must have been extremely difficult for you to acquire the ability to speak, never mind put anything coherent down on paper. But still, I suppose you are to be commended for pure persistence, if nothing else. I should think Obama would be proud.

The job is very difficult
Jessie Jackson is no more a Rev. than I am. I know a lot of Godly men and women who walk the walk and talk the talk in ministry. They have a very difficult job in that they have to take on everyone elses problems, deal with a lost and dying world, a hostile press, and a nation that has for many turned their back on God. We all know that Jessie is a media hog that has lived off the civil rights movement, and extortion for years. Have you ever heard one word from him about salavtion by following Christ? He is like Obama's pastor Jeremiah Wright and Al Sharpton. It all about $$$$$. The use of the "N" word could finally be the straw that forces this man to retire from the public spotlite, and allow the real ministers to do the job God has called them to do.

Jackson ,Sharpton & Obama
Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton are race hustlers. They go anywhere they smell money.

Jackson has threatened many companies into paying him and his Rainow Coalition off.

He threatens to bring race charges and rather than fight him, they pay him. Big mistake.

Sharpton and Jackson have made a living from hustling for money by using race and pretending victimhood.

If Obama is elected president, they will have lost the club they have used to slam their real victims. They cannot really claim victimhood if one of theirs is president.

Rowly...

Very well put!

These two Predators have dragged MLK's dream through the mud for decades.

They say Malignant Narcissists Hate themselves, are raised in a shame-based home, and possess unpredictable rage. Seems these two nuts fell out of the same tree.

Boycott ABC,CBS, NBC and CNN
We all know by now that the Mainstream Media is promoting Obama and the Socialist Agenda. They have already turned the normal news programs into out and out Obama Campaingn Ads by either putting his mug reading a teleprompter or the mug of that Hate-Filled wife of his. Then, Oprah, the View and other so-called Gab shows bring them on at every opportunity and use their hour long shows promoting him when not promoting some form of Degeneracy. So, Obams should just pocket those hundreds of millions that his Rich Liberal Backers and Bankers are giving him, and not spend campaign money. He is getting billions of dollars of ADS for free.

Now, here is the kicker. I heard today that Obama is going to the Middleeast, and the MSM anchors are going to Accompany Him and Give A Blow By Blow of his Every Word. In other words, we can look forward to the MSM giving us Obama Promotions, in the guise of Real News, just like they are already doing every chance they get.

So, don't know about the rest of you, but ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN will not get any viewership in this house. They hardly do now, since their programs are mostly trashy or just purely stupid to begin with. And of cours, the New York Times and the rest of those liberal rags will have his Mug on Front Page.

Vote No to Socialism, Vote No to Obama.

Townhall Problems?
Has anyone else noticed that Townhall.com is frequently dead for extended periods? Or is that just me?

Greyhawk -- irt Boycotts
Their ratings are already tanking. I doubt any organized boycott can do them any more harm than their own mis-manglement has.

There are too many alternative sources for news available to the average Joe. We no longer need to take their word for anything.

Greyhawk
The MSM has been boycotted for years at my house. They are good for local news only. I watch Lou Dobbs for a few minutes because he is vehemently against illegal immigration.

Dobbs and I agree on nothing else, and when he starts railing against the president, even if he deserves it, I change channels.

I also watch Glenn Beck. I trust Fox for national and world news. We can no longer trust AP stories, either. Especially war stories. Bias is everywhere. We have to be aware of it,
