Poll
Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

"The fact that this site even exists is only half as offensive as the fact that 99% of all parents in America don't know that this is being done to target their children," said the Lovely Bride to me on Wednesday of this last week. She is right.

Because of our collective willingness as a society to do anything and everything we can - accept those things that we really have responsibility to do, we have created a world that has given birth to the website "www.TakeCareDownThere.org". Worse yet YOU have funded this mess, and seemed unresolved to do anything about it.

Planned Parenthood sends its thanks.

In the event you would have not heard what the "TakeCare" website is all about let me give you a bit of an idea. Picture a fun, freewheeling website. A place of pastel colors, moveable design parts, promising to give you all the ins and outs on "the ins and outs." Designed to be so innocent looking from the moment it loads, parents would never have need to worry about there kids being able to find truly objectionable material.

Right?

Far from merely providing low cost abortions for primarily African American girls in the inner city of America, Planned Parenthood now seeks to further corrupt your child in which comedy skits serve as sex education, and homosexual, and casual sex philosophies are promoted not just as normal - but are shoved directly into the face of those watching.

Being deeply immersed in the entire world of talk-radio, public policy, and observing the decadent culture that continues to rip our families apart for the last ten years - I am seldom shocked by much any more. Yet the very sophisticated mixture of nearly playful innocence from the color, design, and "mood" of the website, with the vulgar, profane, and exhibitionist creep-out factor of hardcore sexual suggestion is a potent combination.

Planned Parenthood is almost banking on the idea that the shock factor is so strong, that for this reason alone, kids will talk about it with their peers, but not their parents. In the most descriptive way possible without actually photographing it close up - the site depicts one teen boy giving another teen boy oral sex, another scene has one girl exposing her private parts to a room full of her friends asking each of them "do you see anything 'down there?'" There is a sketch on self stimulation, and one other with the oh so subtle title "Threesome."

There is also a custom "sing a long" song that express several dozen pseudonyms for what one calls both the male and female genitalia. It is performed in a style that reminds one of their days in kindergarten singing their ABC's. And did I mention that YOU are the one funding this?

Perhaps one boy pulling away from another boy's waist, and wiping his mouth as though there is some superfluous fluid still on the corner of his lips is something you are personally comfortable with for your pre-teens to be exposed to. But do you think your neighbor would find it so acceptable?

Perhaps it's totally cool that you have paid for this site to offer your daughter advice on what to say when friends ask to her to come out for the evening but prefers to stay home, to masturbate, and to learn to "love" herself more.

The sketches also feature a creepy, child-molesterish-looking character that some believe is based upon the porn star Ron Jeremy - giving advice to the kids - sometimes WHILE they are engaging in the sexual activity.

The website is base, profane, and for more intrusive to the innocence of your children's mind than you would ever allow ANYONE to be with them publicly. Worse yet it promotes an amoral, anti-faith, anti-values worldview that runs completely contrary to the Christianity that 70% of the nation purports to "believe in."

In short - Planned Parenthood is seeking to directly defy your belief system, and in a sophisticated, sneaky way project their Godless viewpoints upon your children, using the resources you GAVE them to do it.

Why we as a nation EVER began sanctioning Planned Parenthood with public dollars is a stunning reality to begin with. From it's beginning Margaret Sanger (founder) was committed to eliminating black people through abortion and pursued the expansion of her network abortion services as a way to make that happen. The fact that Planned Parenthood is responsible for some of the largest percentages of deaths amongst African American children each year is in itself stomach turning, and the fact that they continue to primarily target inner city communities is genuine racism in today's uber-tolerant culture.

Add to that the fact that they unleashed a "Teenwire" website only a few years ago that encouraged children not to listen to the values of their parents but to "do what felt good" started them down a path they had no right to.

But as best selling author Dawn Eden put it this week, "TakeCareDownThere.org makes Teenwire look like Abstinence Clearinghouse."

And the best part of all - YOU are the one making it all happen. Congress needs to revoke all public funds for the racist, reckless, and disrespectful organization of Planned Parenthood.

It is the parent's right and responsibility to decide when their own child is ready to learn what they need to about how to "Take Care Down There."

And it's my strong hunch that none of them will be employing the use of "Chester, Chester, Child Molester" to do so.

Have you visited YouTube lately?
The videos are clearly aimed at sexually active young adults. Where the kiddie thing comes in is beyond me. That point of view is perverse.

This is a website, folks. Not a TV campaign. Take a look at YouTube and you'll see far more explicit videos.

Also, only a tiny tiny amount of federal money makes its way to Planned Parenthood in Oregon. You talk as if the only reason they exist is because of taxpayer dollars. I don't believe Federal grant money is even used for any kind of marketing effort.

wow
37 responses to your hysterical little column.

You sure are making a huge impact, Kev LOL

Wingnut
You really are nuts. Is there some repression at work here ? Never got enough there Kevin ? Evere actually been to this site and watched any of it ? Didn't think so.

lets help instead of hurt
why don't we try to help our young people make good choices rather than encourage them to do things that will cause them to go down a path that leads them into much pain and heart ache.

There is only one way to have a life full of meaning and fulfillment that brings us joy and also blesses our Heavenly Father who made us. That is to do things His Way. If we live our life to please the Lord then our life will shine with a light that is good for us and also those who know us.

I have seen much in my life time and those who follow the way of the mentioned site and all it entails will not be livning into the destiny that they were created for.

Let us help our young people not lead them astray.

pointless
I went to the site and like always McCullough as exagerated to the point of rediculousness. There is no nudity and sex is not encouraged at all. the site is under the impression the viewers are already sexually active.

This is about as bad as McCullough and his report on Mass effect.

Typical
Fear mongering and lies by the Lords soldiers.

Ironically - it's children of people like KMC who will probably grow up being ashamed and confused - and it is these children who often engage in dangersous sexual beahvior.

Why Are You Paying For This...
http://irregulartimes.com/dead.html

Why We Pay
We pay for our demise and that of our children because we don't really understand our rights and responsibilities under the Constitution. The use of political office for personal gain by both parties will not stop until we stop handing over our money. Until then, they don't care what we think, and that has been proved over and over again. Petitions if you want to go that route should be available by either Family Research Council or American Family Association. I think the one I signed was from AFA. Abstinence only is 100% safe!

fine spacecadet
no more church grants.

Agreed?

re: chad
"Anything to lower pregnancy/STD's is a good thing."

You don't really believe that. If you do, then you support female circumcision. It removes all sexual pleasure for the women and causes a huge drop in STD transmission(since women won't want to have sex)

So Chad, you may need to rethink your logic a bit.

Did he actually watch the clips?
It is not clear that the website is likely to be all that effective. But the most contraversial advice given in it is that masturbation can be a healthy thing.

It should be noted that the point of the video called "threesomes" is that if one is sexually active one should have oneself checked for diseases. The video is not of a threesome (and could hardly make teen sex seem less desirable). I assume that the name is meant to capture the fact that if you have sex with someone you can get a disease from their previous partners. So I assume that the people who were upset about the oh so obvious title didn't actual watch the video before being offended by it.

Most of the message here though would seem to be ones that conservatives should embrace. Sexual diseases are rampant. If you sleep with someone you are sleeping with their ex-partners. You can get STDs without realizing it, etc. It is true that it does not push a sex is bad message, although the video showing the aftermath of young sex has the boy excited and the girl disappointed, so it is hardly a pro-sex message.

actually, I think this is worthwhile.
Anything to lower pregnancy/STD's is a good thing. Not having sex is the best way, but which generation EVER gave up teen age sex? Its been around since the docking of the ARK.
{by the way, I was in my late 20's before I had my first three way and it was all played safe}

Disbelief
In our family, being told that sex has serious consequences was the cornerstone of encouraging us to choose abstinence. When I was a child we were told how to put on a condom and that venereal disease is a very real and scary thing. It didn't cause us to run out and sleep with every girl we saw, but rather to be cautious about sex and to think over our choices. As a result my brother and I are both married to the only women we ever made love to.

Perhaps the reason I feel no outrage over this website is that the information presented is nothing that any of the kids in my family have not heard already from myself, their mother, their aunts and uncles, and grand parents. The content and presentation are similar to most other sex-education books, including one I gave to my nephew a few years ago when he was fifteen. He is seventeen now, and he and his girlfriend are still virgins, not parents, and have no diseases.

If you want to keep your kids from getting health information install a filter on your computer.

Matthew,
You my friend are an idiot. It is my pennies from my dollar on a moral question that damn sure shouldn't be funded by the government. Homosexuals are the first one to say that morals should not be legislated well by the same token lack of the same should not be funded from the public coffers....and oh yeah by the way you are darn right I would rather fund a war, I have to pay my own paycheck.....what a jerk.

WHY ARE YOU PAYING FOR THIS!
http://irregulartimes.com/dead.html

It's sex people
And I'll never understand why you think it's disgusting.

Mere pennies on the dollar are spent to educate kids on sex...(to save lives)

But like all good Christians you cheer for money spent on war.

This Is Outrageous
It is completely unthinkable that Planned Parenthood is funding something so completely revolting. And it is targeted towards children. This website is nothing short of pornography. The Family Research Council posted this action item. Call the White House switchboard today at 202-456-1414 and ask President Bush to separate these funds before more children are caught up in Planned Parenthood's pornographic web.

Please call to make a difference.

Ascendency to royalty
I’m afraid that the public has not looked deeper into this phenomenon. Our elected officials are elevating them selves to celebrity status, almost to royalty. This is too disturbing to me. When those that are supposed to be servants of the people feel they are above the people and are not accountable to them; that in it self is alarming. The real danger is that the people are becoming very disgruntled and unhappy. This causes dissention to the extent that the two party-system is splintering. When that happens a small group that happens to be larger than the others can take control of the government and the country will go down a path that can not help its own destruction.

I wonder.....
If we would even be in a deficit if we eliminated all of the rediculous expenditures that our government makes on behalf of US the tax payer not only for PP, but anything that is outside of the defense and infrastructure of this country. Not to mention people paying in hundreds of dollars in taxes a year and recieving THOUSANDS in returns....ahh how grand it is to hold the rope that we are strangling ourselves with.

SHocking but true

It is repulsive that a dime of my hard earned money goes to these types of morally abhorent corruptors. Why can't I simply give to St Ann's Infant Home and Emily's List give to Planned Parenthood.

A country founded on Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Hapiness should never be in the business of murdering the innocent - and yet we are.

Let see who suffocates from lack of funds first if we really could compete in the arena of ideas. They have to cripple us in order to kill their target group.

OOOPS
sorry for all the type os

Parents being kept in the DARK
Methinks NOT!!
Parents are so busy being soccor moms, chauffering kids to artsy things or busy with their own persuits like reality tv or nail and hair appointments that they have in place permanent blinders to what is going on with their progeny. The other issue is I want to be best bud to my little sweet pea, at all costs, which means no setting rules, no demanding accountability, responsibility or even good grades. To bad hand books don't come with parenthood or at least common sense.

Shannan
"pervy old Mr. Rogers?"

You are one sick puppy...

Please get some help.

Pablum for Pubescents . . .
We need a cure for HPV (in this case the Human Progressivism Virus) which insists on picking which rules of Mother Nature are important (sexual education) over Survival of the Fittest. The "Do It If You Feel It" prescription because "you're going to do it anyway" has its own rules and teaching kids (or adults) the equivalent of "everybody likes to speed so seatbelts will protect you" denies the basic premise that one usually sows what one reaps.

It's obvious that this Planned Parenthood effort targets not only children but those who can't make intelligent choices on their own (adults). Package learning about sexual matters in a bubblegum wrapper and hope that the individuals who really need the knowledge are smart enough to know how to open up a browser. The kids will have no problem; the risky adults have already proven they don't have the brains to manage their own lives and this schmaltz is further proof that Progressivism is more dangerous than actual diseases.

A Few Things...
1) Kids are so disinterested in all things sex that they have to rope them in with idiotic schtick? It is reminiscent of Sesame Street.
2) They did not think pervy old Mr. Rogers would be a turn off?
3) Why do they make the characters stilted and uncomfortable and yet make the topic headers so crude? Horse P (Townhall unacceptable word) NIS Virus and Threesome? UNCLEVER!

Kids can get info. on sex anywhere. Why are we paying for this indeed. They should stick to what they are good at, encouraging girls to treat their bodies like a piece of recycling, offering up faulty condoms and then encouraging cheap and plentiful abortions... oh... wait. Sigh...

As we continue
to make our children more and more sexual at earlier and earlier stages it's no wonder our children are failing in comparison to the rest of the world. It is certainly no wonder that the amount and veracity of heinous crimes committed by youngsters goes up every day.

Childhood is the single shortest span of any one person's life. Why are we letting the culture ruin it? The answer to that is laziness I think.

Some posters miss the point
There are a couple of obvious points to take from this article. First, there is the taxpayer issue. It’s simple really. We should not be funding any activity that is at its core “social engineering”. The Constitution forbids such activity on the part of the Federal Government, period!

The second point that seems to be missed is that parents are deliberately being kept in the dark regarding what is being targeted to their kids. There is something insidious about any organization (Government sponsored or not) that uses a medium like the Internet to hide what they are doing to children, from their parents. There is contained within the deliberate nature of the subterfuge an evil intent that undermines both parental control and society at large. If Planned Parenthood’s intent were purely educational, designed to aid parents in planning for successful child rearing, there would be no need for the sneaking around behind the backs of parents in the first place.

Finally, we all recognize that it a parent’s responsibility to train their kids with the values that they hold. However, when an entity of the government is allowed (encouraged) to undermine those same values, it is only a matter of time before the society looses all moral sentiments. The death of morals in a society equals the destruction of that society.

Many, hand wring that they know not what to do about this. Stop voting for individuals that do not share your core beliefs. Stay vigilant on behalf your young people. Support the free expression of thoughtful people like Kevin McCullough.

We can get control of our country once again but it will take time, money and commitment from everyone that still cares.

Absolutely Intolerable!
The arrogance of this organization is completely off the chart. This is the last place tax dollars should go!

Sex education should begin in the hands of the parents, but NO! The government knows what's best for us and gives the job to these tunas!

If I want to throw my money away, I'd rather give it to a wine-o to go blow it for me, mindlessly, down at the Riverside Casino.

Woody from Iowa

How to exploit kid actors.

There is always going to be another porno site that is going to show more. That is no excuse I have a hard enough time with the I.R.S. and all their aggravation, and part of my money I surrender to them goes to fund this garbage? Stop the funding of Planned Parenthood!

Nothing wrong with letting your....
I went and saw the videos. I did not see any "kids". If you want to oppose Planned Parenthood's public funding, you have every right to let your representatives know what you feel. There are a lot more explicit websites that deal with what pre-teen and teenagers should know.

A felony?
I thought the making, selling, possessing, etc. of child porn was a felony. An employee where I work was fired for having it on his work computer.

takecaredownthere
I watched all the videos on the site and the whole thing seems just fine to me. Promotes condoms and seeing your doctor. Ok, the guy wiping his mouth had too much ick factor, but most of it was pretty well done.
Now, should we be paying for Planned Parenthood? Of course not, but the site is not the problem. I just don't think PP was anywhere in the enumerated powers.

Why are you paying for this?
That has to be the most offensive site I've seen in ages and it's infuriating that taxpayers help fund an organization like Planned Parenthood. If anything, this kind of propaganda is reason enough to vote agains Obama for president. If the Democrats with their moral relativism get a hold of the executive and judicial branches, God help this country!

Karl
You are joking, right? I just went to this website and in my opinion Kevin is right on the money (so to speak).

This website is obviously aimed at children, pre-teens, and adolescents. Colorful flowers, blue stars, and pink lips float around on a San Francisco styled rainbow background while the cast of characters role play various hypothetical sexual scenes to silly songs.

All of these skits are inappropriate for children to view, particularly the scene with the 2 young men that hints at oral sex being performed(complete with the one fellow emerging from the bottom of the screen and wiping his mouth).

Disgusting.

Even the website's name (TakeCareDownThere) makes it easy for children to remember. How many adults do you know reference their sex organs by pointing at their crotch and saying "down there..."

I blame voters for not kicking out the politicians who support Planned Parenthood's subsidy. And any American who thinks that websites like this one are harmless is either a full blown liberal or delusional.

This website is entertaining and informative for children---NOT adults.

I hate that MY tax dollars are being used to prop up PPA and its insidious agenda. Wake up, America. Check with your congressional representative to see where they stand on providing your tax money to Planned Parenthood, and if they are in favor of continued subsidies for this dispicable organization, then you should vote them out of office this November.

And thank you Kevin for bringing this issue to our attention.

To Mr. McCullough, S.A.M., etc.,
To whom should we direct our complaints when we want to protest a situation such as this one? Does anyone have specific contact information? I think that's a huge problem for parents -- we see things on the web which we find offensive, but we don't know SPECIFICALLY where to direct our complaints. Pardon my ignorance, but I'm sure there are other parents out there who would also appreciate the information, if someone could provide it.

Thanks!

Magnetic monopoles
McCullough has reached a new grammatical low! Much like the long-sought magnetic monopole, the single quotation mark has until now been the grammarian’s Moby Dick, so to say. Now that McCullough has found it and grabbed on, we can all get back to what we were doing before he wrote this silly, hyper-ventilating piece.

People, if you object to the material presented on the Planned Parenthood website and want to pull the ear of your Congressman, fine. But please visit the website yourself and form your own opinion first. There is nothing graphic to be found, there are no "kids" (or maybe I should write kids") involved and you'll even hear them declare that "abstinence can be a beautiful thing."

As Offensive as it is
I appreciate the author's thorough description of the website; I don't have to see it to do something about it now.

I'll be contacting the powers that be, but I hope someone can also point me to a site with a petition to sign....

Promotes agendas
Oh yes, freedom of expression. And at my expense. This is what you get from people with an agenda to somehow publicize, spread, and try and convince people this is somehow good.

Publish the names of the people who put this together and their memos and notes as to why.

Undoubtedly this bunch is a lot like the herd of fraudulent homosexual militants that post here, trying to convince everybody they are straight.

Kids do not need to see this. With any luck my grandkids will not. Worse than pathetic.

I can only answer
that I absolutely despise paying for this! Thanks for a straight up kick in the pants, Kevin! I will contact the two Blue Dogs and the Rino I have representing my interests in DC, and register my opinion. Might not help, but it couldn't hurt!
