Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

Listening to liberal politicians attempt to speak about Biblical Christianity is something akin to quizzing porn stars about the finer points of acting. ...And if you're last name is Clinton you may qualify for both - but I digress.

They know it's not their best subject. They know they have no clue about it's authenticity, but the leading Democratic candidates continue to believe that they can somehow trick those who do into thinking they are one of us. We've already been panderbyted by both John Edwards and Barack Obama about the Gospel according to liberalism but this week it was Hillary's turn at bat.

Speaking to the congregation and additional visitors at Saddleback Church, from behind the podium, while standing on the stage, to those in attendance IN the worship center, in the church building Hillary Clinton opened up about her spiritual "journey:"

"My own 'faith journey' is approaching a half century, and I know how far I have to go."

Which is an odd thing to consider for the Biblical Christian. For when one thinks about it we know two truths to be the exact opposite of that statement. First the only journey of faith worth taking is not something that requires fifty years to clarify, and secondly none of us - not one - can begin to fathom the gap of "how far" we are seperated from God in our state of sin. Understanding this is key of course because in reality we can't "go" any distance to make up that gap. For us to try to ascertain legitimate standing before the God who made us it would be likened to the impossibility of standing on the top of the Empire State Building in New York City and attempting to shoot an arrow from a bow in hopes of striking the target dead center in the middle of the fifty yard line of the Rose Bowl in Pasedena California.

She continued:

"But I have been blessed in my life, with my family, and in the church of my childhood, to be guided every step of the way."

Ok that one makes us chuckle on its face doesn't it? Would anyone who has tolerated serial adultery, first hand accounts of rape and sexual assault against other women, and an infantile like obsession with never being criticized call their "family" (i.e. the philanderer she's married to and bore a child with) a blessing? And for Bible believing Christians being "guided every step of the way" is a pretty gigantic claim. After all I do not know a single fellow Christian who would claim to live their life in such away as to have reflected biblical guidance through every single step. The more important question being - guided by what? One Clinton's amorous ambition for Hillary's assistant? (Actually that one applies to... well... take your pick.)

And then there was of course the actual point of her appearance. Speaking on the subject of how she would address the issue of AIDS-HIV in front of Rick Warren's congregation and guests, in his building, from his stage and behind his podium (but not from his pulpit) Hillary let loose:

"Jesus never asked why someone was sick!"

A statement so chock full of deception, innuendo, and double meaning one could write a book about it. Designed to be technically true but with a meaning that could also be parsed to infer additional things such as, "don't speak about behavior related to AIDS." Technically true but yet with a completely different meaning - sort of like the meaning of "is" is.

In her attempt to seem biblically literate she sends the double sided message of threat to those who speak accurately of the dangers of homosexual behavior, drug use - particularly with shared needles, or even reckless one night stands (something her hopeful future first lady could speak on with authority). The message is clear: cure the illness and leave the behavior alone.

Of course you understand definitively though don't you that what she means is the certain equivalent of curing a child of intestinal parasites that threaten their lives - while then sending them back to their village to drink more fecal tainted water supplies.

Note to Hillary: The world's AIDS crisis can not be cured with your gospel of condoms.

Should we do all that we can to cure those who are afflicted? Sure, starting first with those who were infected with the disease through no fault of their own. They get the drug cocktails first. Yet whether it's in our homosexual communities in America or the horrific myths told in Subsaharan Africa to men who rape virgins wrongfully believing it to cure the virus - behavior must change for AIDS to be stopped.

She was technically correct - Jesus didn't usually ask why someone was sick. Neither do doctors today - though they do tell patients to make major life changes in order to not have the problems return.

Sadly Hillary has vocally bragged about how the snowjob being done to the Rick Warrens of America is working. She even relayed to reporters recently that liberals would do better in 2008 because people like Warren are closing the gap for the leftists.

Liberals on Biblical Christianity just like Porn Stars on great cinema... trying to fool only those who want to be!

She Needs Experience
Republicans have been exploiting religion for decades to get power in this country. Hillary is only just using the technique and obviously needs lacks experience.

Hillary's "Sin"
For Hillary to really connect with voters she has to complete one major act of contrition--shed her husband.

Dave
She has all the experience she needs at being a
giant phony.

Epidemics
There is a lot of bleating about Obesity being an Epidemic now. Should we expect Hilary to demand that fat people be cured while allowing them to continue stuffing in the calories?

And why did the marching mommies insist that smoking be effectively banned, instead of simply throwing more and more money into curing cancers that they claim are caused by smoking?

Why is it only the Sixties Hippie Thing that insists that we bow down and worship the Wee Wee and our right to stick it anywhere we want to -- just fix us up and let us get on with it?

The current state of the Anglican/Episcopal Church is a direct outgrowth of Hilarys Cult of the Wee-Wee. If anybody thinks that has been a success, she certainly does not understand the bedrock purpose of Christianity.

If anybody thinks
the current status of the Anglican Church is a success, then that person will understand where Hilary is coming from.

Why is it that the Marching Mommies have demanded that we stop all smoking to stop whatever cancers they insist are caused by smoking ... yet a disease that we have seen kill people by inches should be cured while allowing and indeed encouraging the behaviour that causes it to continue? This is like trying to cure obesity while allowing fat people to keep stuffing their faces with calories.

Using Christ
for distinctly earthly purposes (particularly political power) is hardly new. He Himself had to scurry off on a number of occasions when His message was particularly well received, and the people were "going to carry Him off and make Him king." The Jews resented him (and did not accept him as the Messiah) because they expected to be liberated from Roman occupation. Pilate and the other Roman leaders there feared his appeal, because they were afraid of an insurrection. Then as now, people are always trying to use Christ to justify their own worldviews, political ambitions and expedient decisions.

But His kingdom was not of this world, and he said that numerous times. He even refused to bite when the oppressed Jews of his time asked him if they should pay taxes to Caesar. "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's," he famously replied. Not exactly a battle cry for Republicans, I am afraid.

But neither were Christ's words particularly helpful for Democrats. He preached about his ability to both heal the body and forgive sins. "Go and sin no more" was a frequent admonition. Would that response sit well with Hillary?

As for whether or not she has been "blessed" with her husband and child, that is not for us to say, and it is small-minded and mean-spirited for Mr. McCullough to suggest that she hasn't been. Many of us know what it is like to stick it out with a spouse who cheats, drinks, or otherwise disappoints, not to mention the failings of our children. Do we not love them anyway? Are we not supposed to try?

It's beyond disingenuous, in my book, to tout the values of fidelity to one's marriage vows and the integrity of the family, and then slam someone who has stayed married, just because you question her motives in doing so. If she doesn't know how "far" she is from God, then neither do the rest of us.

The Pharisees were sanctimonious, too.

"Suffer
the little children to come unto me." Try that one on for size with the abortion lovers.

Maybe they ought to actually READ the book instead of just EXPLOITING it.

After He healed them
Jesus also told people " Go and sin no more"

Ergum
Good post. I resent anyone that uses religion to impose a morality they may or may not truthfully accept themselves as opposed to leading by example and asking the people to do the right thing. While I understand your reasoning on the subject of sticking with a spouse I think in Hillary's situation the motivating factor must be considered. In selecting an individual for the highest office in the land why they do the things they do to put themselves there is important.

Looking at couples that stay together in the face of problems within the relationship one has many questions. Do they stick it out for the kids or because economics restricts their options? This is the reason most are kept in relationships that they would otherwise dissolve. Economics is not a factor with Hillary but there is a child to consider. Another factor may be she trully loves him in spite of his appalling behavior and would have no other.

I hope the latter reasons apply but if she is still in the marriage because it provides a path to power then that is relavent to our assessment of how fit she is to be president. I realize the desire for power leads many to do despicable things and she would not be alone in this activity. Knowing she accepted the serial abuse of a philandering husband in order to put herself where she is would provide a window into her character and character is the most important attribute of any leader.

hitlary a christian
hahahahaha. she is of the dark side. i guess we now know that rick warren is too. he is leading his flock to support dems who are evil. the only spirit hillary talks to is satan.

rick warren is a fraud
and member of cfr ushering in the new world order. forget about what the bible says is moral, forget about the warning of the world church and one world government - ricks personal power ambitions outweigh anything those ancient writings he built his fortunes on have to say...

Kevin's simple minded nonsense
Is George Bush evil?
Is Bill Clinton evil?
Is Hillary Clinton evil?

What's telling about Christian arrogance these days is people like Kevin demand that non-Christians abide by their morals, but yet people like Kevin cannot answer nor speak for any Christian standard.

The questions I posed were posed deliberately because they speak to the motivation for the answer. If you ask any Christian in this country about Bush or either Clinton, the judgment about good or evil will most certainly be a political one based upon political standards and not Christian standards.

Liberals, by percentage, are just as Christian by self-description as conservatives. The percentage of Democrats who call themselves Christians almost mirrors identically that of Republicans. Who is the true Christian? Liberals view themselves as Christian, as American, and as moral as do conservatives.

Unlike Kevin, I do not mock God. Hillary may have forgiven Bill. Bill may have actually asked for and received redemption. I don't know, neither does Kevin. What I do know is that Jesus commands us to believe in forgiveness and redemption. Mocking somebody because they believe in forgiveness and redemption is mocking God. I know many a family who have struggled for years forgiving an alcoholic and hoping for redemption of said alcoholic. Would I mock such families for loving said family member and constantly believing said family member can be redeemed some day as Jesus instructs us too? No. Is it painful to watch the same disaster repeated over-and-over again? Yes. Neither would I mock Hillary.

If Christians cannot resolve such simple questions as "Is George Bush Evil?" then how can they lead when they can't judge their own leaders like Hilliary under the umbrella of the same moral standard called "Christianity"? Kevin's simple minded nonsense is that Kevin doesn't believe a liberal, like Hillary, can be a Christian.

A simple Christian question.
Here's a simple Christian question.

Wouldn't it be more effective in bringing someone to God to instruct a misguided self-proclaimed Christian like Hillary on Christian terms rather than condemning them as unredeemable and enjoying that process?

What would Jesus prefer, I wonder? WWJP?

Is the IRS
checking into the 501c status of Mr. Warren's Church? Surely this would be the case if the Pol and Church was conservative would it not? Seems the "seperation of church and state" only applies to Churches who hold conservative principles...

I rate this article a ZERO
Faith is obviously an important factor to a significant number of democrats, as evidenced by the fact that all 3 dem candidates have made sure their faith ticket was punched.

I find nothing to quibble about in any of the quotes by Sen Clinton that McCullough cited in this article. My opine is that McCullough himself is quite disingenuous in this article.

It is not for me to judge Mrs Clinton's faith journey, or anyone else's. To do so, in my opinion, is very un-christian.

(Will I vote for her? No, but it's about those millions of ideas she has that America can't afford, it's about my doubt that she could ably prosecute the job of Commander in Chief, it's about the fact that what she says very often depends on who she's saying it to).
I have no problem with her faith journey.

Hilliary went to church, but her heart
Is set on Washington DC, not Jerusalem
Worship the Lord or garner votes?

I know God knows

Sure makes me wonder about her myself, knowing she is now in a full court press in her run for dictatorship of America.
Understanding fully she has no respect for the Law of this Nation.

The US Constitution.
Hilliary needs to think about her reasons to go to church lest she be judged by the True Judge of all men.
His Judgment will not be abolished.

Mr 7:6 -
He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me

I for one do not believe Hilliary even considers that God is still involved in the affairs of men and governments, she seems to think it is all about her.
Joh 12:43 -
For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Eph 6:7 -
With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

She gets no praise from God even if she gets it from men and is the only thing she seeks.

Hillary & Saddleback
Warren and Saddleback have long ago left the evangelical faith and have been more concerned with self-focus and ecumenicism. Warren has been busy bringing Eastern mysticism and the self-esteem gospel to the Church, and trying to build a one-world order. The Church is not the place to bring in unbelievers to preach. If Hillary was a Christian, then her works would show it. She supports all that is unholy, so there is no evidence she understands Christianity. Warren and her ilk are promoting a social gospel. Paul would call that "another gospel."

Aside from all this, AIDS is 100% preventable, so why are we spending billions of tax dollars to find a cure when the cure is staring us in the face? Self-control with sexual behavior, and leave the needles behind!

The funniest book....
....I saw at Borders is titled:

"Hillary Clinton: A Spiritual Journey"

Even the beatnik with the "Hillary in '08" pin thought the book needed to be placed in the humor section.

Any Witnesses?
With regard to her lengthy journey, I wonder if she has any witnesses?

What would Jesus Do
The teaching of my church says Jesus forgives sinners and welcomes all sinners to his flock. How many people on the planet have cheated on their spouses? A large percentage. How many of important church leaders and conservative politicians have been caught having afairs. A lot of them.

You would think Clinton had invented sin. It was not Hilary that cheated.

Aids is not 100% preventable.
I recently had to hae 2 pints of blood. As far as I know they were all right but recently some blood has not been.

Also, some wives are given the gift of AIDS by a husband they did not know was cheating.

Keep hunting for a cure.

Where is your christian charity?????

Hilliary was not in church to repent.
She went to gather votes.

This is very clear that one of the most important functions of a church is TO JUDGE.

1 Corinthians 6:1-8
1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?

2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

-------

Think about what Paul is teaching here.

3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life,

Judging a person who is running for President is expected, AND
"if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?"

Hilliary is subject to being Judged, just as we all are in our words and actions by the Church.
My judgment is made, she is a hypocrite.

Doris
At one time blood could be given in a "designated donation" manner. For example, about 20 years ago my cousin had leukemia and because we shared the same blood type, she asked me to donate blood specifically for her. I naturally obliged her request.

Fast forward a few years. The nation's blood bank caves to the special interests of the gay lobby because they have been pistol-whipped into believing that it "discriminatory" to start segregating the blood pool. Of course it is discriminatory. It is entirely *justifiable* to discriminate the nation's blood supply and to allow someone to choose whose blood they want flowing through their veins based on screening for risk factors.

Ah, but that would be "homophobic" and as we now been properly conditioned to believe, there is nothing more heinous than offending gay sensibilities - even if you have to jeopardize your life in the process.

So, I would suggest that you are exactly wrong. Blood donations actually PROVE that AIDS is entirely preventable (at least via transfusions) because if we were allowed to actually discriminate on who gives blood by insisting upon tests prior to donation, or by allowing designated donations, then I could indeed be 100% assured of not contracting AIDS through a transfusion.

Once again, policital correctness trumps common sense and the value of life takes a back seat to "offending someone."

drivebyposting
You asked: "Wouldn't it be more effective in bringing someone to God to instruct a misguided self-proclaimed Christian like Hillary on Christian terms rather than condemning them as unredeemable and enjoying that process? What would Jesus prefer, I wonder? WWJP?"

Jesus was quite outspoken in exposing the hypocrisy of the cultural/spiritual leaders of his day. Read the New Testament sometime. Shock and awe is entirely approriate in certain situations. The moneychangers in the temple come to mind. So do His comments about the Pharisees being "whitewashed tombs." Or, check out I Kings 18 in the Old Testament and see how Elija mocked the prophets of Baal: "Where's is your god? Oh I forgot...he's made out of wood. Maybe he's taking a nap. Maybe he's traveling. Maybe he's on the toilet relieving himself."

I have personally never heard anyone write off Hillary as "unredeemable," but the problem is that Hillary -- just like the Pharisees of Jesus' time -- had become blinded to the vast difference between their actions/beliefs and what the scriptures actually taugh. Hence, HRC believes that her postures on socializing our country, killing the unborn, and promoting "safe sex" are "Christian" postures.

The only thing left in such situations is the brute force approach of mocking the views for what they are: breathtakingly contrary to the Bible and reflecting willful ignorance.

You're Reading The Wrong Bible Kevin
In Hillary's bible Jesus never asked why someone was sick, he had his burly disciples go out and mug some passersby to get money to buy medicine. When Paul had a far-out acid trip on the road to Damascus it was like all those people at Woodstock that Mrs. C is building a monument to. Moses was wandering out in the Sinai when he saw an emanation from a penumbra (just like Harry Blackmun) and received the Ten Suggested Guidelines (which were changed to Commandments by the Vast right-Wing Conspiracy in the later corrupt editions). Joseph and Mary were forced to leave their home and travel to Bethlehem not because the bureaucrats issued an idiotuc tax regulation but because of Herod (Hebrew for 'Bush') enacted tax cuts which forced the poor from their homes. Cain killed Abel because the law at the time cruelly forbade gay marriage.
If you paleo-cons would just get the correct edition of the Bible you would realize how mean and misguided you've been all along, and what a Saint Mrs. Clinton is...after all Manna from Heaven/ Chicom illegal campaign contributions, spiritually, what's the difference?

Change is hard
Talk is easy. It's tougher to walk the walk.

Great column. I hope folks pay attention to what is really going on.

I am always borderline anemic and not allowed to donate blood. I also was NOT expected to need blood suringmthe surgery I had.

Clinton BOOED in Iowa for promising "Path to Citizenship for Illegals in her first 100 days!"

Hillary's Faith
I am no fan of Hillary Clinton, and certainly hope that she is not the choice of the Democrats for their presidential candidate. And I find the propensity for some candidates to use churches to promote their candidacy to be inappropriate, as I think churches are a place to draw closer to God, not politics. But I find Mr. McCullough's point-by-point attack on Hillary's statement of her beliefs to be below the belt. Only God knows if Hillary's perported faith journey is sincere. I know that there is a tendency for some Christians to believe that they have arrived because they have been "saved," but I think most seriously religious people believe that growth in faith in our atonement through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and becoming a Christian is not an event, but a journey.

SKEP41

.....That explains why Hillary is not struck by lightning when she picks up the Bible ...she is picking up her version ...

.....nice post ...thanks for the laugh .....COLOSSUS

I'm officially exhausted
... with this subject.

Hillary's faith is between her and God. It's her politics that are between her and me. We might each of us have reasons from faith to agree or disagree with her politics, but the proper subject for public dialogue is the political question, not any individual's "faith journey."

There are people who enlist Jesus in their advocacy of ideas completely opposite of McCullough's. I may think they're wrong, but it's not attractive -- or appropriate -- in EITHER side of the debate to utter sentiments like "If you were REALLY Christian, you would believe X."

That way lies great peril for the Christian. There is nothing wrong with making abstract arguments for why scriptural principles support one's political views, and nothing wrong with countering the arguments of others. But pretending to see into another's heart, and divine her true relationship with God, IS a case of judging, and thereby inviting judgment on yourself.

Man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart (I Samuel 16:7).

dyerje
Well put.

To say
For no one to comment and make a judgment about Hilliary's faith is the same as asking a person to cover their eyes up and not see what they see.

She is the very person who has brought it into the public square for examination.

Besides, you evidently do not read all the New Testament.

1Jo 4:1 -
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

I am going to judge every word I hear and I am going to judge the fruit, if it be good or evil.
This is an evil woman.

Paul even commanded all to judge his words, how much more a hypocrites like Hilliary.

1Co 10:15 -
I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say

Self promotion to be glorified by men is hypocritical, and all politicians are hypocrites.

Mt 6:2 -
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Then to bring her self promotion into a Church, a building supposedly for the Worship of God.
Not to run a political campaign from.
She is a hypocrite

Saddleback Church
After reading Purpose Driven Life I wanted to visit Rick Warren's church--but if he is backing Hillary Clinton or her ilk I will be reconsidering. I do not believe that woman knows any aspect of Christian honor and responsibility. Her entire life is based on gaining fortune and power. She is a Marxist in reality. Fortune and power is all she really cares about. If you have not seen the video The Clinton Chronicles-do so. I was given a copy in 1992 and the Clintons have not fooled me since then.

Hillary is not struck by lightning because a liberal god cares about his carbon footprint and realizes that the electricity generated to create a lightning bolt would contribute to Global Warming.

Hillary's Hostage's
I would like to know why no one has asked the Hillary (Democrat party) campaign why she didn't get on the phone immediately after she heard about the hostage's and talk to this individual. I sincerely believe she dodged the issued to play the drive by for the press conference she got after the fact and her drivel about how happoy she was to have all here volunteers released safely. Didn't she think she had enough pull to get them off immediately if she had just talked to the guy and asked for their release and then she would discuss his problems with him?

She is a total phony and only after she is driven to defeat will she really see just who and what she really is. (Phony, gutless, and a total socialist wanting to follow in the footsteps of the other autocrats around the world.)

Kevin what the fudge
After reading your article I may be more convinced of Hillary's christianity than yours. And that is not saying much.
This article was driven by disgust of Hillary not a search for truth.

In attacking Hillary you make the very same mistakes

i've said it
over and over. you can't be a christian and a democrat at the same time( or a liberal). the dems believe in changing the good book to suit their desires. conservatives think you have to at least try to follow God's word. all those that would vote for the empty suit are also not christian as they are minions of the devil doing the devils work, which is to diminish the real church and advance fake churches like rick warrens.... but they will run their mouths, huffing and puffing with indignation that any one would challenge their christianity..or patriotism. well i spit on you dirtbags. and will fight you for america.

It's so disgusting how this "Christian" here who only few days ago condemned divorce now denigrates a woman who stayed married to her husband. McCullough is typical vicious Christian to who faith and belief are just tools to control and oppress others.

"Christians" like McCullough are the true hypocrites here: they have no problem with prostituting Jesus as spokesperson for their personal vendettas and hatred.

As I said: I'd rather get infected by HIV than turn into something even remotely as vile as you.

her fund a mental approach
No one needs to judge her faith.

Her faith judges her. She has it alright by the looks of it. She has faith in expedience or what is popular at the time. She has faith that she’ll be acquitted as innocent in a jury of her peers. That she’ll be redeemed and be the saving messiah of sorts for the nation. Her and Bill, and whatever alliances she needs to propel it. No the idea is not to judge her faith, its having a critical eye toward what she says, She needs little help explaining her virtues, she wears them on her sleeve. Iran awaits the 12th Imam, America awaits Hillary.(so she thinks)

well vile van
i'm sure you are far, far more vile than i am. i'm sure you would rather every one get aids rather than fundamental christians be proven right. that makes you a child of satan not Jesus. plus your a democrat which is the most, most, most worst thing i could call you.

Hillary
Hello. Just heard from God. He says she is not evil just unconscious that what she does is evil. He said He would take care of her when she stands before Him for judgment.

To VAN and the rest of the doubters...
You wonder allowed why I would condemn divorce and attempt to expose evil when it comes to the agenda of the woman who wants to be President.

Being twice victimized by divorce's impact - once as a child, one as an adult - I can assure you - we need MORE discernment when it comes to how society views divorce and in large measure we DO NEED to eliminate the "no-fault" get out free card.

And as someone who has seen the Homosexual issue eat up the life of a close family relative - I think I'm more than just free to form an opinion - but rather obligated to my fellow man to help society think about it biblically.

If you don't jive with the Bible-thumping theme at this time - fine. That's your choice, and it's not to guarantee that you won't at some point in the future.

The point being that my faith obligates me as a person who communicates for living to communicate the truth.

And that is all that I attempted in today's column.

Yes there are reasons why I write about the things I choose to - and it has everything to do with bringing about a better potential for this society - by pointing us back to Biblical truths that were given to enhance our lives and help us find truth and contentment in life.

A true Christian
Is easy to spot. We will be judged by what we do, not what we say. Same in knowing if someone is a Christian (doing as Jesus says), not what we think will make us feel good, then pointing out a perceived flaw of someone else to rationalize why we decided not to do as Jesus said we MUST, if we want to follow Him into Heaven. The fact that most people will not follow Jesus into Heaven, is not going to make Hell any better, or less eternal. ETERNITY IS A LONG, LONG, LONG TIME.

Matthew 12:
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

wants to pretend he has moral authority by saying look at rudy and see what he does. your such an idiot. since when has rudy been a role model of the christian community. and knowing the causes you champion i know you are no child of God. what you are is a hooligan out looking for a fight. you champion anti- God causes. well the right side's not running anymore.

Be careful what you ask for...

Neologism
Permit me my one snide remark. If there were a God, would she seriously tolerate one of her faithful to morph the words "pander" and "soundbite" into "panderbyte." Somehow I think not.

Hillary's Achilles Heel

Hillary is still singing the "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" tune (all the Dems, really), not realizing it is her swan song.

The only issue I have ever seen 75-80% of Americans agree on is stopping illegal aliens. Any GOP candidate that is credible (not Rudy, McCain, or Huckabee) on this issue could win in a landslide.

The biggest problem is the RNC has sold it's soul to the cheap labor express. They are determined to nominate an amnesty candidate, even if it means losing the election. Stupid Party, indeed.

HUNTER 2008

Republican voters still get to decide who their nominee will be. Money only buys elections when people act like sheep. If 80% of Republicans are indeed seeking a conservative, we can nominate one. We can nominate Duncan Hunter by voting in the primaries. The money players won't like it and are trying to convince us only Rudy McRomneyson can win. Hogwash. 49% of people will never vote for Hillary. Only 60% voted last time and turnout was the difference. My belief is Rudy would push turnout down. There might even be a third party, splitting the vote. Give Americans a chance to vote for a candidate who WILL secure the border and watch what happens to turnout. Americans want their government to fulfill it's most basic responsibility.

The primary responsibility of the U.S. government is to protect the territorial integrity and people of this country. They have completely abdicated this responsibility. Both parties have been complicit in this. We are being told it is not possible to control our borders, enforce our laws, and thereby control our destiny as a nation. Hogwash. We are being sold out by corporations intent on importing workers for jobs that can't be exported with the taxpayers paying the true costs, financial and human. If we act like sheep and don't stop the inundation across our borders, we will lose our country without a bleat.

Regularization Rudy

We have run out of time on the illegal alien inundation. We either stop it now or we lose our country. Rudy won't do it. He thinks it's impossible to enforce our laws. I want someone who doesn't.

The GOP cedes their best issues by running Rudy. He agrees with Hillary on abortion, gays, guns, and amnesty. I want someone who doesn't.

America is worth saving. Vote conservative.

My issue with Hillary
Is that you can't use two different Bibles....The Feminist Bible and The Holy Bible. She wants us to vote for her because she is a woman, but she really hasn't earned our respect according to feminist doctrine. She's only bought a senate seat. She seems schizo to me. She stayed with her husband which is contrary to feminist doctrine (burn your bra/all men are chauvinist pigs/don't get married) and yet we should respect her for being so forgiving. That's what women did in the 50's when they had no choice or livelihood or self-respect. Seems a little backward for a hardcore feminist like Mrs. Clinton. It would be wonderful if she stayed with Bill out of respect for God and the sanctity of marriage, but that isn't what she's preachin' to all of us.

But we should vote for her because she's Bill Clinton's wife??? Why? Would I vote for Barbara Bush or Laura Bush to be president just because they lived in the Whitehouse for 4-8 years? And if the two Mrs. Bush's had overstepped their boundary lines of service, as Hillary Clinton did, by assuming a 'co-presidency' what would we say about them? We would be outraged. The bigger mystery is why in a post-feminist society would I vote for a woman because she's the wife of a powerful man? Don't we have women who can be elected on her own merit?

Any Christian can be misguided, repub or dem, just like Ananias and Saphira. Ananias and Saphira went to heaven, but they died in disgrace because they tried to fool God.

Doris and Christian charity
I think 20 billion dollars a year is very charitable. Why don't gay men show some charity toward society and practice monogamy? This is the perfect opportunity for them. They can reduce the spread of a dreadful disease and all of it's opportunistic diseases while showing society that they are serious about marriage.

They seem are always asking society to give more and change the rules to accomodate them. What have they done for us?

kadima
The Gay community shows it's disdain for society by engaging in activity it knows is injurious to society and the result is support from the Libs. That is a window into the soul of the Leftnuts.

Hypocrite
"She was technically correct - Jesus didn't usually ask why someone was sick. Neither do doctors today - though they do tell patients to make major life changes in order to not have the problems return."
Jesus most often concluded a healing by telling the person healed to "go and sin no more". Shouldn’t that be part of the healing process here?
Christians that fall short of Christian standards are not hypocrites but are sinners. A person that professes Christian principals to deceive people is a hypocrite.
We all must watch out for hypocrites and charlatans in politics and all areas of life

To Dave
Until fairly recently, the majority of Democrats and Progressives were people of sincere faith. I know many prefer to believe the delusion that millions of atheists have always existed in the U.S., but it simply ain't so.
The current problem is not that certain Progressive politicians lack experience with *exploiting* religion -- it is that they lack a clear and traditional background of dealing with religion from an irreligious standpoint. Many Progressive rank-and-file also have this trouble, and all too many solve it by treating with scorn and wilfull misunderstanding those religious people with whom they come in contact. Progressive politicians, of course, do not have the priviledge of doing this (at least not publicly) because doing so will damage their election chances.

I do not claim to know for certain which Progressives this rule may be applied to, of course. The observer must judge by their example.

What Christ said
"Jesus didn't usually ask why someone was sick"

As best I recollect the scriptures, this is quite true. On the other hand, he said something equally revealing. I'd like to expand on cwa's comments, if I may.

First, read John 8:1-11. You can find it here:
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=john%208&versio n=31

Now, we often like to quote 'Let he who is without sin cast the first stone' -- especially when someone is pelting *us* with well-deserved pebbles. But note Jesus' words in verse eleven. He doesn't give the woman a lecture on safe sex, or warn her against the possibility of unwanted pregnancy. He simply called her action what it was: sin. He didn't even *wait* for her to become infected with a disease before telling her to reform her ways!

On the other hand, take note of the way he did it: he didn't call her names, he admonished her with compassion. We'd do well to keep both these salient facts in mind.

It seems that many here
came to the conclusion.

My first thoughts on reading Hillary's statement about not questioning how one got a disease was
