Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

WASHINGTON -- With a flick of his pen, President Barack Obama finally laid to rest Freud's most famous question and iterated one of man's hardest-won lessons: Women want what women want.

And the wise man sayeth: "Yes, dear."

Thus, it came to pass that the president created the White House Council on Women and Girls to ensure that all Cabinet-level agencies consider how their policies affect women and families. Presumably, men and boys may expect to benefit from what is helpful to women and girls. We shall see.

There's little profit in criticizing a move to make life better for the fairer sex. Still, one does have to suppress a chortle as we pretend that the First Father's rescue of damsels in distress is not an act of paternalistic magnanimity. Chivalrous, even.

Oh, well, irony is hardly a stranger to gender. Neither are exaggeration and myth. If I may ...

First, the statistics cited by Obama as rationale for the council weren't quite accurate, though they were, to borrow from Stephen Colbert, truthy. And surely the president can't be ignorant of the fact that boys in this country are in far graver danger than girls in nearly every measurable way.

Where's the White House Council on Men and Boys? OK, let men fend for themselves. But boys really do need our attention, not only for themselves, but for the girls who will be their wives (we hope) someday. We do still hope that boys and girls grow up to marry, don't we? Preferably before procreating?

Certainly, the Obamas seem to. A model family, they undoubtedly want their girls to excel and, eventually, to marry equal partners. But boys won't be equal to girls if we don't focus some of our resources on their needs and stop advancing the false notion that girls are a special class of people deserving special treatment.

There isn't space here to fully critique each statistic mentioned by the president, but here's just one: Women still earn 78 cents for every dollar earned by men.

As has been often explained, apparently to deaf ears, this figure is derived by comparing the average median wage of all full-time working men and women without considering multiple variables, including the choices women and men make. A more accurate picture comes from a 2007 report prepared for the U.S. Department of Labor by the CONSAD Research Corp.

Although women do not lead as many Fortune 500 companies (only 3 percent, according to Obama), they account for 51 percent of all workers in the high-paying management, professional and related occupations, according to the study. Women outnumber men, for example, as financial managers, human resource managers, education administrators, medical and health services managers, and accountants and auditors.

Otherwise, wage differences can be explained by "observable differences in the attributes of men and women," including, among many, the fact that a greater percentage of women than men take leave for childbirth and child care, which tends to lead to lower wages. Also, women may place more value on "family-friendly" workplace policies and prefer non-wage compensation, such as health insurance or flexibility.

The statistical analysis, which included these and other variables, produced an adjusted gender wage gap between 4.8 percent and 7.1 percent. The gap shrinks to almost nothing when men and women of equal backgrounds and tenure are compared, according to another study of young, childless men and women.

While no one would argue that women shouldn't be compensated as well as men for the same work, it isn't quite accurate to suggest a widespread problem of wage discrimination.

Or, as the Labor Department labor study warns against, to justify policy-level correctives.

Whatever imbalances remain should be self-correcting as women and men achieve educational parity, but that's if (BEG ITAL)boys(END ITAL) get some help. Indeed, men and women reached educational parity with college graduation rates in 1982. Today, women receive 58 percent of bachelor's degrees and represent half of graduates in medical and law school.

Boys, meanwhile, are the ones dropping out of school or being expelled. They're the ones failing, abusing drugs and committing suicide. What kind of men do we expect them to become, assuming they survive?

As a father of two daughters, Obama wants to do the right thing by women. A noble purpose. But if he wants America's girls to find proper mates, he might create a White House Council for Boys and, perhaps, Fathers.

It's the right thing to do for a nation that aspires to equality. Just say yes, dear.

CALLING ALL PATRIOTS
Yesterday I sent - vis certified / registered mail - a copy of Dr. Orly Taitz's law suit demanding that a special prosecutor be appointed to investigate Obama's BC issue as well as the many illegal and criminal activiites engaged in by his thug supporters.

Today I called the Office of the Attorney Genreal - Eric Holder - and left a voice message demanding the appointment of a special prosecutor.

Am I a little scared? Yes. Why? Because Obaman and his minions are ruthless thugs who kill fetuses, harvest brain-cell stems from fetuses, attack private citizens like Joe the Plumber and Rush Limbaugh to name just two... and they LIE.

But the above reasons - among others - is why I want to take on Obama ...

I do not want to live in a nation where the POTUS - especially a fake one - can declare open hunting season on American citizens any time for any reason.

I beleive Obama is NOT a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN of the United States, and is therefore NOT qualified to be POTUS - he is a usurper and an imposter.

If you would like to get in the fight to Preserve, Protect, and Defend the Constittion of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic ...

Then go to Dr. Orly Taitz's website ...

I doubt if the Jewish mother would agree
Anyway in our view all mothers are the strehgth of the world. When shopping one can only admire the woman with three in a basket or onr hanging on the hip onr and one running behind and one whining. Mercy. A man could not handle such.

TownhallPlus.com

The last thing
men need is the government's helping hand. Spare us another "focus group." Just get out of the way and let men explore, create, build, imagine and lead somewhere. We really do like to figure things out instead of asking for directions every block and checking if everyone else that is looking at the menu agrees with what we've chosen to eat. If all the males dropped out of college tomorrow and enrolled in trade schools, the women would follow. That is if they can ask directions where it is.

Parker
Me again. Take a look at the post by USPatriot56. Do you think any program could
have given this man a spine if he had been
reached soon enough.

Some people just have too much testosterone and
too little sense. I think the two go together.

Personally
I didn't see any difference--because there wasn't any difference--in public school, private school or community college--in wages. Male and female teachers have been making exactly the same since at least 1970! But I think I get the point about flex time and family friendly schedules.

Now, Freud's master, Nietzsche, should never be forgotten when referring to the Psychiatrist.

At any rate, think how different the world would be if the misogynist, "Fritz," had married Lou Salome. Freud may or not have become Freud; Leo Strauss (another huge Nietzsche student) may not have become one of the Lights of the neocons; and Dick Cheney may not have been quite so hard-headed.

Equality, equality!

Checks and Balances
Kathleen, you must have gotten tired of having one check by your column, and retreated to a topic upon which TH readers could agree with you.

As a point of agreement, I'd give you "Girls on the Run," a running program for girls "at risk." Most of those girls are NOT "at risk," unless you consider poor choices a danger. They're growing up to take responsibility, expecting their male counterparts to end up losers.

I'd say the peril is for women, as it is for all young Western women living in an increasingly Islamofascist world: Afghanistan used to have women in medicine and in other professions, until the losers took over.

American women are doing what they have to do these days, since boys are becoming passive protesters who refuse to engage. 50% of black males fail to graduate in one of our local high schools. And don't tell me it's the girls' fault, or because girls are being encouraged: when you see young black women breaking out of the chains, they're doing what they have to do, because the boys are wusses who can't compete.

And with young black men choosing - choosing! - to fail, you see the boys becoming potential Farrakhans. Potential losers. Who do you think is in peril then? Don't blame the young women for trying to escape stupidity.

You can blame the young men, though, for refusing to compete: thug-sissies. Look good on a B'ball court, but too stupid and sissified to learn to read and write. Go on, son: refuse to compete! Some girl will be your safety net, having your children and working a full-time job, while you go hang out on the local playground and play with your Glock.

Are these man-boys really the ones at risk?
Women didn't fare so well under the Taliban, did they?

The Inequality Scam
Ms. Parker, read the Manifesto of the Communist Party, 1848...you ALMOST make a valid point without quite understanding the cynical underlying strategy used by tyrants to centralize and increase their power. If one observes the actions and policies of the BO administration as well as all Leftist power seekers, it’s obvious that they really only care about themselves. The true purpose of the Leftist PC policies being to increasingly divide all societal factions by race, sex, age, religion, wealth, ideology, education, etc. This is an obvious and ancient tactic used successfully by all Socialist, Marxist, Fascist and every petty tyranny in order to increase their ability to increase the fictions of diversity and racism by pitting each of these groups based on each group’s PERCEPTION of PERSECUTION by one or all of the OTHERS.
Wake up Americans, we know better than to let these crooks get away with their petty games!

Equal
I remember when pay for men was called *Family Wage* (because all men were assumed to be supporting a wife and several kids) and pay for women, which was considerably less, was called *pin money* because it was assumed every woman had a man earning a higher wage to pay her way.

I remember when hard work got you a 7% raise, and coming late, leaving early, wandering the office every hour gossiping about Canadian Idol, taking long lunches and using the two-hour medical leave benefit (now defunct due to abuse) to attend booty call at the gym got you fired.

Today I see around me Equal Pay for those who work 12 hour days in a demanding practice, and those who consider work the place you come to pick up your paycheque. (Good bosses try to make up in other ways for not being able to reward their secretaries, but you cannot depend on that.) Because of this insistence on Equality, we are right back to the time when secretaries were considered fungible pieces of equipment. Not my idea of Equality.

If you get full marks for Trying, why succeed? If success means you get the same reward as someone who Tries, why not Go Galt, dummy down, and ride along?

Boys and girls alike have learned that there are no wages of sin, that there is no stigma or punishment for failure (you are a Victim!) and that nothing is their fault. They are Equal.

Good luck with that.

"Help"for women from the Government
"He is from the government & he wants to help us"poor, helpless women? Please spare me. DodObama is only interested in what benefits himself & his destructive agenda to control every aspect of our life. This is just another avenue to make laws that will give him an excuse to throttle our freedoms and send out his propsed "private security force" to intimidate and herd us into his valley of doom. He needs to be exposed for the liar and fraud he is and deported.

What ?
Waht's this bimbette still doing here at TH ?

LEFT OUT ONE STAT
What is the average death between Women and Men in combat. I believe that the Pres should equalize combat positions in the military for woman and men that includes special forces delta forces and navy seals. Let us get this thing really equal.

Actually, the reality here ...
... is that because men and boys cannot get government help as easily as girls and women can, men and boys have to work harder to succeed. In the long run, that is good for men and bad for women.

Just look in the office staffs of any corporate entity. In jobs that are billable directly to clients (engineering, operations support, etc.) you will find mostly men. In jobs that are billed to overhead (HR, Finance, Security, etc.) you will find mostly women.

Why?

Because men have to work harder to get money and resources for education, work harder to get into college; and that harder work translates into better looking resumes down the line.

Tammy
hahahahahahaha oh, were you serious?

Unelected Bodies

How does it REALLY benefit when these are unelected women who do not Represent me?

Thank you! You understand what Parker,so busy being cutesy and..,a little "truthy",completely misses.

It is apparent that Miss Parker has never read Alinsky's, "Rules for Radicals".

Barry Dunham has.

This is the Kathleen Parker ...
that I've so admired over the years. Glad to have you back.

Tod Kozeluh

Agree with Kathleen
I really don't see the need for a white house council on women.

Parker is correct that it is males and not females who are falling thru the cracks.

Not that we need a whitehouse council on men.

But the stats Parker cited for males are correct.

And troubling.

And once you factor in the choices women make, choices favoring part-time employment, choices in terms of being less amenable to relocate in order to obtain a better position, the income disparity begins to lessen.

Idiots
Do you honestly think Kathleen takes the time to read your blathering drivel? What a bunch of losers

Hey, FROG... you misspelled Tod
Regarding Egon's post:

First of all, Parker is hardly a bimbette - that would imply youth. She's a full-fledged, grandbimbo.

The BIG LIE furthered by the left and/or the gullible is that women don't make the same wages as men for the same job. However, when men and women work at the same job FOR THE SAME DURATION, women actually earn slightly more than men. The agenda driven distortion kicks in when women take time off to have babies or simply refuse to put in ridiculous hours at white collar jobs.

When sycophants like Parker state that women only make 78 cents on the dollar for the same job, she's omitted the part wherein the male cashier at Target has worked for 8 years but the female, who started on the same date, took 2 years off for baby leave. The "delta" in pay is due to less time on the job even though they're in the same position, executing the same duties. There's nothing sinister going on here; ultimately, it comes down to choice.

I have a confession. I'm commenting on an article which I couldn't bear to finish. This seems to be a recurring phenomenon whenever I attempt to read one of Kathleen's columns... it's like watching a train wreck. Admittedly, I flinched before impact.

WOMEN HAVE MORE RIGHTS THAN MEN

.....They have the legal right to kill their children in utero .....COLOSSUS

OldeCoastie
You should have finished the article.
Parker is NOT in disagreement with you: she's as tired of the 78% BS as you are.

Where I disagree with her is the encouragement of females. I don't see anything wrong with that. The problem is, there are too many rogue males spreading their little seeds of joy, expecting - like cowbirds - that someone else will take care of their offspring.

Such men are not men at all. They're sissies with portable reproductive appendages. They will never, ever be men, because no one is there to show them how - unless they join the Marines.

But don't accuse Parker of being on the wrong side of this issue, regarding pay inequality.

oldecoastie
those are simply not facts.

i have yet to see a woman take 2 years off to have a baby.

next, they legally could not get their job back if they were off that long.
the law gives them 6 months max or the company does not have to rehire them.

there are millions of women who do the same job for the same amount of time who earn less than men.

Well I am surprised
Well I am surprised Kathleen, but I have to admit to a good column when I read it. You are right on! Just take a look at what Title IX did to College sport's programs. Actually the playing field between the sexes has been leveled for sometime now. Intervention on behalf of our young boys is not needed, What is needed is good parenting.

Christianlib & KP -
Yeah, let's waste even more time and money on another useless council so boys can have as much attention as girls.

Government welfare programs are responsible for devaluing the currency of men in society. Now they can fix it? Spare me.

Government is not the solution - it is the problem.

Christianlib claims that Parker, of whom I am no fan, does not use facts, then claims to know of no woman who has taken off two years to raise a child. She further posits that millions of women do the same jobs as men and earn less. These are not facts, CL. They are opinion, if not hyperbole. Who raised you? Wolves? I'm betting that a mother was involved...

Men
Just butt out of womens right to use their own mind the end!!!!!

Power of consent
God gave women the power of consent that all boys realize at an early age. Attempting to parlay this God given law into other man made laws is perverse and counter-productive.

Double standard feminism
Good article, but there is nothing new here. This is typical double standard, actually triple standard feminism in which women get the best of all worlds, getting to make rules for men, then ignore those rules themselves.

A woman, depending on her needs of the moment can say:

1.That she is equal to men
2. Or that she is genetically superior to men
3. Or that she is weaker than men (and so needs special privileges and protections like this "council")

To see how wrong this is to anyone who believes in equality, imagine the reaction if the government formed a council for men or "white people". Just like some people accepted the system in which blacks & whites had unequal rights under the law, so today many accept our system in which men are second-class citizens under the law.

"Each generation, while condemning the prejudice of its parents, is blind to its own bigotry."

Boys and Girls Are Different!
Show me a man that has no job and I will show you someone that is suicidal. Show me a woman that has no family and I will show you someone that is suicidal.

Employers know the difference.

Employers can push a man to his limits, everyday, and still depend on him showing up the next day, even with a smile on his face saying, "Give me more!". So, high risk jobs that require an exorbitant amount of fear of failure are often occupied by men. Although, anyone can do it, only a few will take it or put up with it, thus more money.

Christianlib
If the woman has more than one child in the seven year period and insist on the FMLA then she could very well be off for two years. You don't know the leave policy for pregnancy at Target do you? Didn't think so. I work at a white collar job and I only got six weeks unpaid leave (which is why I also pay for disability insurance for myself) but I have had two children while working for this employer so he lost my services for 3 months during a nine year period...FMLA insists that the parent be able to take off at least three months (unpaid) for companies of 50 or more employees. So it would mean 8 kids in 7 years (which is a little out there)...if you take in consideration all the sick days because of the children I could honestly see two years.

Old fashioned parenting solves it all...
We need an office of government for girls? boys? How about one for how to use the toilet? Maybe we could get a government office on the value of blowing our noses correctly. My God this country has become a bunch of morons if it can't raise children. Well by gosh I have answered my own question- We are becoming a bunch of morons in the majority of cases. We no longer have any discipline or an ounce of common sense in most cases. If the government would just butt out- most of this stuff would be taken care of by the people themselves in the course of their lives. The government does NOTHING but create dependents. Why does a man stick around when the government comes to the rescue of his out of wedlock children? Boys are drugged with ritalin and other drugs because -well because they act like boys and the feminization of the culture with political correctness continues unabated. I think the next project will be to drain any level of testostorone from boys bodies so they will be - well more like girls. Its all BS.

Good points
Kathleen makes some good points in this article. We have so focused on girls and their issues that our boys are losing out.

A far larger percentage of boys drop out of school, and a far smaller percentage go on to college...and even fewer graduate with a degree!

With all the focus on girls, teachers have stopped using methods that work for most boys...and it's getting worse. Boys thrive on competition, so schools are doing "group work," eliminating good-grade incentives, medicating boys to keep them quiet, and overall creating an atmosphere far more hostile to educating boys than the US has ever had for girl's education.

The UK started re-opening non-coed schools a few years ago...and found that the learning of their boys SOARED in a strong competitive environment...and the cooperative environment for girls did not damage their education!

Until we can manage to educate both boys and girls, our country will continue to lag behind those countries that care about their children.

I could actually get through this
column! WOW---except gubmint doesn't belong in the business of equalizing anything. Isn't that what bailouts are trying to do? How's that working for ya?

I heard a line on a TV show that grabbed my attention, so much so that I hit the rewind on my DVR. A coroner said something to this effect: When women die as men do, then they will be equal. Obviously this referenced the battlefield---in war, business, and day to day living. I don't need or want a women's or men's council to forward ANYTHING! Hasn't the class war been amped up enough with the current administration? Are we now willing to start a war between the sexes? Sorry but this is one I'll sit out. I love what is special in me as much as I love what is special in my husband and sons. Leave it ALONE gubmint, Obama, and company!

Christianlib and Tish
I work with several women with children, and cover for them while they are taking "mommy time off". A total of two years off out of eight over all for mommy duties is a conservative estimate.

Add to this that mothers cannot schedual "mommy time off" with any certainty, and even the best of employees, those deserving twice the pay of the man getting paid more now, are just not reliable enough to justify getting paid the same as the man.

BTW, does anyone else thing "Tammy" sounds like a college age boy?

Ms. Parker:
Congratulations on an interesting article.

I suspect that Barack and Michelle Obama wanted to create something – like a “Whitehouse Council on Women and Girls” - that would give mom and 10 year old Malia and 7 year old Natasha (“Sasha”) something “official” and of seeming importance that all 3 of them - as members of the 1st Family - could work together on while husband and dad does the “really official” business of doing all that he does – whether you happen to agree with much of it or not - as the 44th American President.

Did you ever consider that the “Whitehouse Council on Women and Girls” would probably never have been created if Barack and Michelle Obama had had 2 boys instead of 2 girls or even 1 male and one female child?

The Constant Problem
Kathleen has inadvertantly illuminated a constant problem. It is the "gotta fix it" syndrome. It seems like every time you look, some government dimwit (at all levels) has identified what he considers a problem. Therefore government establishes a council, program, law, subsidy, etc. to fix this so-called problem. Of course, most of these issues would die a natural death if government would leave them alone. Instead, we get another government entitiy to sap our money and clog our lives.

BTW, for those of you who keep excoriating Kathleen as a wild-eyed liberal because of some of her comments during the recent election, you're in excellent company. On the liberal sites, she is being equally excoriated as a wild-eyed conservative and compared with Ann Coulter.

Kathleen must be doing her job right to get those kinds of responses.

Too late for some boys
The politically-correct, no-competition, play-nice atmosphere in the schools has already caused my sons to be completely disinterested in education; most of their real critical thinking comes in family discussions, where they are engaged and intelligent. We need to fix this girls-first attitude before we completely wussify, criminalize, or bore all of our boys totally out of the system.

Chatty Kathy Rearranges Deck Chairs
Here we are on the Titanic. The ship is taking on water and the steel girding is twisting. Chatty Kathy notices the deck chairs are askew and calls out for help. (Perhaps Messrs. Brooks, Buckley or Frum will come to assist her.)

This was a safe column for Parker to write. It won't be distresing enough for Comrade Obama to cut off her WH party list privileges, although it allows her to create the illusion to the feeble minded that she has something important to say.

Parker is an embarassment to American journalism, an irrelevant remnant. She needs to go away.

more stupidder?
Is there no end to the demasculinization effort?
No dodge ball..someone might be hurt..
No running.. ditto. Boys shouldn't play war games..they might become violent prone.
Don't keep score..someone might have low self esteem and feel like a loser. My GAWD.. what happens when these kids have to face competition as 'adults'? OH! I get it.
There isn't supposed to be competition..the Gov't will be running everything..
I was in Guantanimo when I was in the 1st and 2nd grades back in 60' to 62'.
Boys were supposed to be nice to girls..and then go play war out in the hills..
It seemed to workout quite well. I pity this young generation today..they have no idea what they're missing. Self reliance.

boys
As a parent of a 5 year old boy, I think KP is spot on. If you look at the statistics for ADHD diagnosis rates, they are overwhelmingly boys and within the last 20 or so years. Does this mean the current generation of boys became more dispensed to ADHD? Wrong.. it's because the classroom style of learning is designed for a certain type of learner that fits the bill for most girls, but does not work for most boys. Boys need hands on, experimentation and LOTS of physical activity. In the absence of, they tend to act out more, are bored in class and exhibit more "problem behavior" that gets diagnosed as ADHD and fed a steady diet of psychotropic drugs in the name of convenience. Boys have tended low in reading skills and graduation rates. It's not a coincidence. There have been interesting experiments in gender seperated classrooms that indicate boys AND girls thrive in these environments but unfortunately gets sideswepped by political correctness or laziness in experimenting with new solutions. Don't be so quick to denigrate boys, they just need a classroom that works for them and not prescription for drugs.

War On Boys
Congratulations, Ms. Parker, on today's column.

I read, and re-read, The War Against Boys. This seminal work by Hoff, June 2000, should have shot a red rocket into the air for parents.

Today, in the Sacramento Bee, "Just say, "yes, dear..." told me that not much has changed with regard to the feminist agression on little boys. Not content to have changed irreversably our society, feminists are trying to bury boys/men; the battle cry is, "We only want your sperm and support payments."

We can expect Obama to cater to feminests by creating The White House Council on Women and Girls.

I cannot but be troubled by the beating my girlfriend's eighteen month old grandson is going to get in the very near future.

Wow! That Obama Sure Is Progressive
I applaud his move to establish this critical office. I hope this courageous step (and he IS so very courageous!) is but the first of many other critically courageous steps taken to undo the horrific damage perpetrated by the malignant Patriarchal Society of our shameful and discredited past.

I lay awake at night dreaming about the day when our Beloved Leader establishes a cabinet level Dept. of Self-Esteem Enhancement and Protection for All People But White Men. With the signing of this directive, I feel we are now that much closer.

Kind of sends shivers up your leg doesn't it?

KP, wrong from the start
I do enjoy KP's move to the left. Eventually even she will realize that she belongs with us liberals.

As a conservative, she just doesn't cut it. In this column, the main error is her endorsement of any version of the concept of "equality." Conservatism, whether it be that of social/religious conservatives or that of fiscal conservatives/libertarians, simply has no use for "equality." The very idea of arranging laws and public policies to promote equality belongs to liberalism, not conservatism. Sorry, KP--you're a liberal. Deal.

I hope this office does better
than the office of the Secretary of the Treasury is doing in promoting economic stability. If not, girls (and women) are in REAL trouble.

Gestell is right. Republicans do not believe in equal OUTCOMES, but equal opportunities for individuals, not classes of people, to achieve their full potential. NOT what some nameless (and therefore unaccountable) bureaucrat decrees as equal.

Either way, no real patriot would be caught dead using that word. So USPatriot, take your fancy french words and go back to your mime-loving, socialist, communist friends. Besides, if I'm going into a fight, the last thing I want is someone who uses "dossier" watching my back.

In this instance, Ms. Parker is right!
Stop punishing her for her well publicized transgressions! This is the kind of stupid bias that liberals are renowned for. "Kill the conservative, nevermind the validity of the message". Now you are practicing the same nonsense.

Ms. Parker is in complete agreement here with Dr. Sowell. This is hardly a "liberal elitist" position.

In direct opposition to Rod, who says "Don't read this one" (sounds just like a liberal, doesn't it?) I strongly urge you to read and verify for yourself its validity. Deliberately ignoring well-thought out pieces such as this out of prejudice is the hallmark of liberals and other varieties of moron. Don't indulge in it!

Support feminism=help the boys
As a single mother of two, and one who has been in the work force in 3 different fields for 30 years, I question your competency on this issue.
The women that I have seen get equal pay for equal work support the male agenda, therefore I assume you are recieving equal pay. If you are not willing to submit to the male perspective, it doesn't happen. The majority of the families are headed by single women today. If single women get support in the work field, the sons they have will benefit. If not, the women are wising up, and have yet another CHOICE in reproduction, called artificial insemination. The way the system is set up, this is the most inelligent choice a woman can make. Because of Obama, the traditional family has some hope of survival, AND non traditional families are supported. Also keep in mind that those single mother households either CHOOSE LIFE or were PRO-LIFE, and should be supported by conservatives AFTER making that choice, not just before. I also question, what would you suffer if you shared your desire for equality? Would you get fired? Would your pastor ask you to leave the church? Would your husband beat you? Keep in mind Madoff faces 150 years for taking money from lots of people, likely some men. Brown was facing 4 years for beating a woman nearly to death. Apparently, our system hasn't much value for women, money has a much higher value than the life of a woman. It is about time America had a DECENT HUMAN BEING in the white house! With decisions like these, I will continue to support Obama.

I started to respond your rant and realized that I should probably just recommend you see a psychologist.
