Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

WASHINGTON -- The latest smack-down of former Harvard President Lawrence Summers should extinguish any remaining doubt that political correctness is the new McCarthyism.

Summers, you'll recall, was driven out of his university post in 2005 after he suggested at a conference that gender differences might account for an underrepresentation by women in science, math and engineering.

Never mind that scientific evidence suggests as much. One simply doesn't say -- ever -- that men and women aren't equal in every way.

Summers' remarks were seized upon, taken out of context and misinterpreted by many, including one female biologist from MIT, who walked out on the president's talk, later saying that she felt she was either going to faint or throw up.

And we say there's no difference between men and women? Can you imagine a man bolting from the room with light head and upset tummy if a woman college president suggested that genetic differences might account for males lagging behind females in reading and writing?

Men, being the logical, bemused fellows that they mostly are, would probably say, "Hear, hear!" -- and wonder how much longer before lunch. Stomping out of the room in a tizzy is not in the adult male repertoire. (Could it be genes?)

For thinking improper thoughts, Summers the Blasphemer was banished into the outer darkness. There's no debating that he was punished for saying something that made a special group feel bad -- the new blacklisting offense. To be called a sexist, racist or homophobe today is tantamount to being a communist sympathizer 50-60 years ago.

Fast-forward to this month. Summers was scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the University of California Board of Regents bimonthly board meeting.

And then he wasn't.

Maureen Stanton, an evolution professor at UC Davis, was "stunned and appalled" when she learned of Summers' upcoming speech and circulated a petition to have his invitation withdrawn.

Sinning against the sisterhood not only isn't forgotten, apparently it isn't ever forgiven.

Summers' invitation was "not only misguided but inappropriate at a time when the university is searching for a new president and continues to build and diversify its community," the petition said.

One can't help wondering what those cultural principles might be if they don't include supporting free speech? As the university continues to build and diversify its community, will that mean diversity of thought or only diversity of gender identity and race?

The answers are implicit in the draconian reaction to Summers' invitation. Diversity on the American campus of today -- and increasingly in the broader culture -- means a multiculti rainbow of like-thinking people. Say or think incorrectly and one will be censored and potentially ruined.

Summers' original offense is shocking only if you ignore the fact that men excel in certain areas and women in others -- outcomes more likely related to our hunter-gatherer genes than to contemporary bias. Whatever the case, there's simply no denying that math giftedness is more prevalent among males, a fact some scientists surmise may have to do with testosterone exposure in the womb.

Blame the mother.

Meanwhile, if it helps mitigate nature's imbalance, we might consider that there are also more male than female mass murderers. If males get to boast Einstein, Newton and da Vinci, they also get to claim Attila, Hitler and Pol Pot.

Women who object to Summers' assertion can argue with facts, if they choose. One study found, for example, that women's scoring on math tests is influenced by whether they believe their performance is a function of genes or socialization.

Other studies also show that the gender gap in math is closing. None of these findings negate what science has otherwise revealed about boy and girl brains: They develop and operate differently.

University women do have a right to be concerned about how they are perceived as they compete with men for tenure, which women receive less often. Studies suggest that bias may play a role, but other research points to conflicts between family and career. The system may need tweaking for fairness and balance, but educators have a higher moral obligation to nurture the marketplace of ideas.

In Joseph McCarthy's day, academics were among the primary targets of the thought police, while women had barely earned a voice in the political arena. Of all who should rebel against the stifling of voices and unpopular ideas, university women should be leading the charge.

The best way to prove Summers wrong, meanwhile, is to prove him wrong.

What a Pity
Larry Summers was hounded out of his job just because he suggested something that has merit; however, butts heads with politically correct think. What chance does a student have if he or she questions the status quo (politically correct) agendas? It’s sad to think that universities are no longer safe places to argue differing points of view. They have become more or less mind programming camps!

Ms Parker
Of course diversity and PC are the new watch words replacing anti-communism. Something has to replace anti-communism for these people because they are ALL communists.

They are ALL also absolute idiots and they would be listened to only in the world of academia. In the corporate world they will pay lip service to PC and diversity for the sake of appeasing the Gods of the trial lawyers, but fire a company president because of it? RITFLMAO.

The New McCarthyism...
...is one hell of a lot worse than the old one.

Senator Joseph McCarthy wasn't interested in silencing anyone; he just didn't want Communists working in classified positions in the federal government or the armed forces. The oppressions attributed to him are either falsehoods or were perpetrated under the aegis of the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), with which Senator McCarthy was not involved. Indeed, he was never in the House of Representatives.

The reason McCarthy receives all that odium is that it's a lot easier to generate hate against a solitary devil-figure than against a faceless committee of men whose names we can't remember.

Liberal intelligence on open display
Or compare to Ward Churchill at CU. How difficult is it to rid "academia" of a plagarizing, lying liberal? And how long does it take with incredible, absolute evidence to rid "academia" of a fake Indian. A fake artist?

And would these "academics" agree that males are more likely to be convicted of the criminal act of rape? Or that men are physically stronger? Not if it's a male.

The time has come to rid academia of liberals. Rather obvious, no?

summers
Excellent article. Summers is exhibit a in the pc trials to be held in the future by professors teaching students about the variegated nature of human prejudice as it relates to the inflexible nature of higher academia...to be continued...

Good article
Steven: Or that men are physically stronger?

Unless the ladies want something. Like a job. Be it fireman or policeman (yes, those WERE male jobs once, Virginia!) Because men WERE stronger, the tests went down, but I believe ONLY for women.

But hey, we have fire officers who can't carry anybody out of a burning building. And Police officers who get *taken down* by the perp.

Summers' crime
Summers was fired for being president-while-white. Just as blacks complain about driving-while-black, so Summers was fired for a similar reason.

Would he have been fired if he had been black? Of course not. No one would have dared complain.

Ditto if he had been a Muslim from the Middle East.

The same people who were outraged by Larry Summers' mild remark turn a blind eye to all the vicious acts that Muslim men commit.

A Quibble
"One study found, for example, that women's scoring on math tests is influenced by whether they believe their performance is a function of genes or socialization."

No. It's not "a function". It's a correlation. The fallacy no doubt resides in the authors of the study. A painfully common error.

Larry Summers
I read about the severe trauma that Larry Summers caused that poor MIT Biologist to suffer on the same day I received photos taken with a camera phone by a man in Iran. The photos were of women being stoned while a large crowd of men cheered and jeered at the suffering women. Aside from the obvious irony of the situation, my first thought was that the biologist had made a mockery of the feminist movement. In whining about her portending syncope she made a far better case for women being "different" than Larry Summer's remark. If anyone should be excluded from ever speaking publicly again my vote goes for the sissy biologist from MIT.

Good example
This story is a good example of why conservatives are losing this country to the liberal lunatics.

Harvard, as well as many other institutions of higher learning, receives federal funds from the U.S. Government. So, why are the people whose free speech rights are being abridged not suing this school? Can you see liberals lying down for this kind of treatment if the situation were reversed? And where is the ACLU in all of this? Aren't they the organization who supposedly fights to preserve our civil rights? Oh, I guess they only care about freedom when someone wants to put a crucifix in a vile of urine.

Conservatives are lazy. We don’t fight back, and this is why we will lose this country to those who don’t mind getting down and dirty.

Great article.
Kathleen Parker sums it up well.

"Diversify" this!
" Maureen Stanton, an evolution professor at UC Davis, ..."

Evolution is a distinct academic discipline, now?! Such that one can be a professor of it?!

"Diversity" is simply a code word for support of & conformance to leftist orthodoxy generally, & hostility to successful WASP's &/or males &/or conservatives particularly.

Fighting dirty
Conservatives are fighting clean; we choose not to stoop to the level of the libs.

I spend a portion of each day writing or calling my legislators about issues, educating others about the issues and working to elect honorable people to positions of influence.

It is a slower process than lies and dirty tricks but I hope we can avoid becoming the same as the enemy.

What Did You Expect
Here's one to chomp on: This all started to emerge when they allowed women out of the kitchen into universities where they practice mommyhood.

Wow! The feminazis forgot that Summers was Sec of Treasury in the Clinton administration. The left eating their own (cannibalism, not like Bill&Monica). The tactics used to squelch opposition are nothing new. When I was in college in the '60s, the hippie, commie,anti-war protesters did everything they could to shout down any conservative who appeared on campus. In my day, it was people like Al Capp, now it's Ann Coulter et al.

McCarthyism
Good Article,

But after Ann Coulter's unrefutable book Treason, I think the term "McCarthyism" is a word that should be stricken from the record. The term is used to discribe more accuratly what happened to McCarthy than any of his so called "victims."

Using the term McCarthyism is akin to the modern day use of being "Swift-boated." While the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth revealed the truth about Kerry, the Democrats are using the term "Swift Boated" as a derisive term meaning that a Democrat is being unfairly smeared.

The use of the term McCarthyism is an intitutionalized form of slandering a honorable patriot, Joeseph McCarthy.

McCarthy was "Borked" by senate Democrats in the same way Robert Bork was slandered and disabused.

The use of the term McCarthyism in a derisive context is perpetuating a myth and a lie.

McCarthyism: We should come around as a nation and say "You can't say that anymore, ever!"

Don't Tread On Me, Exactly!
Isn't evolution a "theory"? Meaning that they have absolutely no proof whatsoever that it is true! Sure, they can prove micro-evolution, the minor changes within a species due to environmental changes, but as to macro-evolution, the changing of one species into another is completely barren of evidence. You would think that after all this time and effort to prove it, they might have found something other than a couple of hoaxes.

Fellow thinkers
I love the comments...they give me hope this next election won't be the end of the culture and country that we have.

The Sisterhood
There are so many levels on which the sisterhood works that once safe places for men to be men are now disappearing faster then the spotted owl (oh, they didn't disappear did they).
In defense of women I would say that it has to be extremely difficult to not get sucked into some little feminist thought in todays world. From TV movies and commercials to sermons in church, Man=Bad, Woman=Good.
We may be good at math but who cares. In another thread here on TH it seems consensus has been reached that the humanities are far more valuable then the sciences anyway. Is that a function of there being a preponderance of women in that arena? Or is it because it makes liberals feel smart when, instead of making their own point, they feel the need to say, "Fill In Obscure Philosopher Here said in Fill in Obscure Book Here, in Fill in date at least 300 years ago Here, that blah blah".
Sadly conservatives are smitten with that crap as well.
I could have googled and found a quote...would have made me look a lot smarter.

Using "McCarthyism" To Make A Point!?
Kathleen, your use of the term McCarthyism in this article is inexcusable!

For those who do not know that McCarthyism was a completely manufactured hoax:

To understand how outrageous Ms. Parker’s use of the term McCarthyism is, imagine if she had made a point about Nancy Pelosi’s incompetence in managing the House by saying to a group of Moveon.org whackos:

“Nancy Pelosi’s managerial acumen is worse than George Bush’s ability to tell the truth about WMD’s in Iraq”.

It should be Townhall.com policy that every author should first be required to show that they have read “Witness” by Whittaker Chambers and “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand before being published.

To TomLama:

The only thing more reprehensible than a writer of Kathleen Parker’s caliber perpetuating the myth of McCarthyism is any citizen of the United States of America entertaining for even one nanosecond the notion of banning the speech of anyone.

Follow-On

In my previous comment, it is important that you imagine that it is Kathleen Parker actually saying

“Nancy Pelosi’s managerial acumen is worse than George Bush’s ability to tell the truth about WMD’s in Iraq”

in order to get an idea of how outrageous it is for her to have used McCarthyism as she has in this article.

Read McC
The sin for today is:"is any citizen of the United States of America entertaining for even one nanosecond the notion of banning the speech of anyone".

Freedom of speech imagined to be the end not the means.

re: READ: Witness by Whittaker Chambers;
Who needs to ban free speech when the activists can squelch a persons requested appearance via petition using the concept of political correctness.

You may not like the use of the term McCarthyism by Ms. Parker but I think it is fitting because those who demand PC speech are borderline proponents of censorship. PC is even worse than the idea of government banning free speech because PC can be used to compel private organizations to censor based on the fear of being accused of being offensive, or put preconditions on the privilege to speak (like reading certain books).

It isn't good enough that the feminists had Mr. Summers terminated due to his comment they now have to try and prevent any future speech he may make.

I'm just glad it was a woman that wrote this column. Instead of dismissing it outright because it was a horrid "man" who wrote it, the feminists now must attack another woman for siding with the enemy and being offensive to her fellow women.

Ahmedinejad speaks
but Summers is censored.

Summers
Lawrence Summers is a liberal Democrat who once served in the Clinton administration.

That he suggested that a left-wing idea might be wrong is apparently heresy to some people.

Summers
Perhaps he should go to Columbia they'll take any speaker!!!

Wait A Minute!
I thought Liberals were inclusive, free thinkers who CHAMPIONED Free Speech!

3rd wave feminism
“First Wave” Feminism was ostensibly sold as “equality of opportunity.” This is perfectly reasonable. The book “Why Men Earn More” ,by Dr Warren Farrell, extensively documents that when women are willing to make the same choices (same education major, same profession, same work hours, same work load, same personal sacrifices, etc.) as their male counterparts, women earn as much if not more than men. The problem is most women aren’t willing to make those choices. When this fact resulted in a failure to produce enough engineers & scientists to suit feminists, “Second wave” Feminism became all about allowing over-privileged women “equality of outcome” (e.g., Affirmative Action, quotas, Title IX, etc.) in the public domain while retaining their domestic power-base monopoly. Women are quite sexist when it comes to who has the choice of staying at home vice being the ambulatory wallet. Women may be sexually-objectified but men are “success” objectified by women. Now “Third wave” Feminism is all about overt “female-chauvinism” in the guise of gender Marxism: “Comparable worth”, e.g., education majors (80% women) should be paid the same as engineers (80% men.) Never mind that a post industrial, information technology-driven economy needs engineers more than education majors. Never mind that education majors have the lowest average SAT and GRE test scores of any academic major. Never mind that engineers work more days and longer hours & actually have to produce a “quantifiable” product.

Professor Stanton: Female Chauvinist
Maureen Stanton, an evolution professor at UC Davis, was "stunned and appalled" when she learned of Summers' upcoming speech and circulated a petition to have his invitation withdrawn.

Intellectually-dishonest female-chauvinists like Professor Stanton are all about supporting the "scientific method" until their own sacred cow, i.e., gender-based social engineering, is in the process of being gored. Thus she demonstrates the practical limitations of affirmative action.

Intellectually and morally bankrupt
It is not an original thought to myself, but this is a prime example of both the intellectual and moral bankruptcy of the left. That a female professor left the room feeling nauseous and faint because someone suggested there may be genetic differences between men and women that correlate to differences in behavior is absolutely priceless. If Wolfe had written that in "Charlotte Simmons," his fictional lampoon of life on a modern American college campus, he would have been blasted by the reviewers for over-reaching.

TomLama: Superb Post
You stole my thunder.

The use of the term "micro-evolution" to describe "adaptation" perpetuates the myth of evolution. A mosquito that adapts is still a mosquito. A liberal that adapts still drinks Kool-Aid.

When will UC-Davis hire a "Professor of Global Warning?" When it does, rest assured it will not be a climatologist. It will probably be a retread from the Science Fiction Department when the Humanities School decided to become more diverse.

The epidemic of PC-ness marches forward.

To Comfort the Fim-libs
Any women who feel bad that women can't claim enough Atilas, Hitlers, and Pol Pots can take heart. Hillery is working on it.

Simply proves experience
This whole sordid story affirms that men and women are the same in one area: no dissent from orthodoxy will be accepted, even when there is plenty of proof against it.

Women have done a great job demonstrating this. No scientific study is needed to see if woman can be as totalitarian as men. Perhaps, given their number, they may be more totalitarian. Oops, don't want to get blacklisted.

career choices
Demosthenes--an educated populace is not a quantifiable product!?

I agree that perhaps teachers shouldn't be paid the same as engineers but there is no need to denigrate those who perform honest labor.

My brothers are both blue-collar workers and I have a college degree. One time I commented on my brother's grease-stained hands by saying I was proud of him as an honest, hard-working man.

Give me a break
OK equal work equal pay fine no problem. Women and men are DIFFERENT in case you havent noticed. For a reason. Yin/Yang. Most PEOPLE are different. There are more women than men. Women live longer than men.
I want is MY EQUALITY. Oh no my female side is showing! I think Ill have a good cry. People take the PC stuff and shove it!

Correction
Actually, Parker has misquoted and misrepresented what Summers said. He didn't make some kind of vague reference to men and women being "not equal in every way". He was more specific, saying that the paucity of women in science and engineering appears to be due to "innate differences between men and women". This was a focused attack on women in science- and engineering-based professions. He was saying that women aren't as good at science and engineering as men. And he made this remark before a conference of highly accomplished academic women. How do I know this? I looked it up. Do conservatives somehow lose the ability to work the Google button? Don't you people ever want to find out for yourselves what was said before you get all riled up about it?

Suppose he had been speaking before a group of professional psychologists and had said that men lack the natural empathy to be therapists? Or before a group of Intensive Care nurses and had said that men lack the natural gentleness to be nurses because of "innate differences"? Or a group of surgeons, and had said that women and men differ in their innate ability to show manual dexterity? (Actually that last one was tried when women began applying in greater numbers for surgical residencies---then somebody pointed out that doing fancy needlework for a few thousand years had already proved the manual dexterity of women).

Summers was a dinosaur. Good riddance.

sweet irony
The loony left continues to entertain and illuminate their intolerance for dissent and legitimate discourse -

Once
I posed the mathematically challenging spacial reasoning problem of inserting tab A into slot B to my wife.
The theorem was Tab A plus Slot B plus 2 people equals 3 people and diminished probability of Tab A and Slot B recombining with frequency.
Our research was conclusive, we proved the theorem, and within 3-4 weeks she was leaving a lot of rooms feeling nauseated.
So you see, even performing mathematical operations causes nausea in women.

I don't think he's dead
just ostracised.

Also if one is discussing scientific studies to scientists one might expect a scientific response, not panty-wetting. Still I guess academic women are still working on their self-esteem.

Summers
The feminists show themselves by their words and actions. I read Summers' speech in its entirety and nothing he said should have caused that woman professors to get the "vapors." Actually I believe she said she became nauseated. She showed right then the difference in men and women. What man would be nauseated by something a woman said (or that anyone said)? Kathleen properly pointed out that the professor proved Summers' point.
I think Summers got a raw deal from Harvard. They won't care, but this is the first year that I haven't made a contribution to Harvard College (I was in the Class of 1944).
Princeton's loss was Harvard's gain when Cornell West got his feelings hurt and left.
Donald W. Bales

can prove
Excellent article. I did get a kick out of the fact the UC Davis professor who resents Summers teaches evolution -- which of course means she can prove Darwin was a monkey's uncle.

Fear is the great motivator
"[Summers said] that the paucity of women in science and engineering appears to be due to 'innate differences between men and women'."

No, that's **not** what he said. What he did say was that, based on the fact that there were men than women in hard sciences and engineering, it would be an interesting thing to study to see **if** there were such a difference between men and women.

If we were to do such a study, we might find (oh! the horror!) that there *is* a difference, or that there is not. Now, if *I* were sure there was no innate difference, I would not be afraid of the study. Since feminists *are* afraid, witness their reaction to Summers' innocuous suggestion, it must be that they are not so sure, after all.

Government-run schools are not broken. They are doing exactly what they were designed to do: weaken families and create dependency on government.

Science has proven men and women
have dissimilare heart attack symptoms.

They react to some drug medicsatins in unexpected ways.

When their brains are PET-scanned during problem solving, men's and women's cerebral cortexes demonstrate use of dissimilar areas for response.

Men's brains are beavier than women's.

Men have greater upper body strength and overall greater muscular power.

Women menstruate, ovulare, conceive, and bear children. They seem to have higher threshholds to pain.

Women talk earlier as infants and generally exhibit more verabl communication than men.

Men's aptitutdes lean toward the physical. Boy children crawl and walk earlier, in general. They are more involved with crime, altho' young women are beginning to close the violence gap.

How much more differnt can they be and then style be exactly the same?

God save our country
from political correctness!!!

Of course we are different!!! Thank God!

The man-hating women in academia are poisoning the minds of our young people. It appears that all of the hippie generation decided to take the easy road - find a job with tenure, don't have to work too hard or answer to anyone - and, best of all, can do their utmost to fill the minds of our young people with their twisted notions - socialism, I believe it is called.

Those who can think for themselves have made successful careers or founded businesses - succeeding in the free market - capitalism, I believe it is called.

I'll believe man and women are equal
when women can pee their names in the snow, and men can pass a nine pound kidney stone.

Liberal Speech
Listen to liberals speak and you would think equality for all has arrived. Watch what liberals do and you see they are just a bunch of lieing Nazis.

Hey, Lilly
If Summers is a dinosaur, then so is much of the Muslim world. In fact, they would be trilobites or something.

Not that I expect you to say anything against them.

Lilly
for heaven's sake grow up, give over your vapors and accept your biology. It really is good to be a woman, and I for one don't need to prove it by forcing myself to become something I am not gifted to be, or railing at and blaming others for my shortcomings or preferences. If you yourself are a scientist or an engineer, good for you. I admire women who are gifted to attain that level of brainpower. I've also come to terms with my own limitations in the intelligence department; I'm working toward a associate's degree in geology or biology but there's no way I could aspire to be an astronomer. The math and physics involved simply escapes me, though space itself fascinates me!

On the other hand, I note a nearly absolute dearth of female DaVincis, Copernicuses, Newtons, etc. Could it be that it isn't due so much to prejudice as it is that most women are simply not hardwired or driven to be involved in science and math?

Lilly
wrote: 'He was more specific, saying that the paucity of women in science and engineering appears to be due to "innate differences between men and women". '

First point
When did 'appears to be' become a phrase a certitude of opinion?

Second point
He actually said the differences 'might be due to the innate differences between men and women' and that he would be interested in a study on the subject.

It is a sad statement on the condition of our society (and universities) that a serious question can't be asked without people trying to figure out if they are offended and then when they decide that they are go after the person that was asking the question.

Being offended is a choice - in order to be offended you have to assign the power to determine how you feel about yourself to someone else.

Grown ups understand that other people are entitled to their opinion, consider what elements of the opinion may be value, and discard the rest.

Here is a an opportunity for you to consider whether you should be offended or not;
Why do liberals cling so desparately to 'control their own bodies' for the purpose of abortion, yet yield control of their emotions for the purpose of being offended?

Lilly...
...says, "He (Lawrence Summers) didn't make some kind of vague reference to men and women being "not equal in every way". This was a focused attack on women in science- and engineering-based professions. He was saying that women aren't as good at science and engineering as men. And he made this remark before a conference of highly accomplished,... blah, bla, bl..." I looked it up...Inate means- adj. inborn, natural, native, inherent. How is that saying women aren't as good in science-engrg as men? How is that a 'focused attack'? I interpret that Summers meant- because of societal educational and home upbringing norms less women gravitate to science-engrg professions than men- that is just that as of the present most of society & specifically women [obviously U & NOW & several 100K other women excepted] have not yet accepted that women will or should do traditionally men's professions, soceity is still for practical purposes divided into hunters (men as wage earners -gatherers( women as nuturers). But then I bring reason & logic to an emotionally driven argument. I have lost already to the PC mentality. Liberals is as Liberals does.

I object to the comparison to McCarthy
The difference between political correctness and McCarthyism, is that be accused of being a Communist did not end people's academic careers, it made them into folk heroes.

Owen Lattimore, for example, was one of the people most villified by McCarthy. The Senator accused Lattimore of being a Communist, and of allowing China to fall into Mao's clutches, despite having been given the assignment of preventing this from happening. Lattimore called the Maoists "agrarian reformers", and insisted they were harmless (they went on to murder 60 million people). In his long academic career, Lattimore indeed showed himself to be a Communist, and was the toast of the town.

Larry Summers should be so lucky.

The Left want to Emasculate American Men
One of their latest ruses is to try and make it look like women are as strong and tough as men. Notice all the TV shows where the pretty fluffy blonde girl overpowers bigger, stronger men.

Those of us who have two brain cells to rub together know that this is a fantasy, but children and deluded lefties don't realize it.

As I am working out in my exercise class, I see the teachers who look cute leading "kick boxing" moves, but have no power, just style.

I keep thinking, what would happen if some thug actually went after them and they tried to defend themselves with some of their fake boxing moves? These girls might overpower a poindexter type, like perhaps Harry Reid, but not most guys.

To see the difference between genders
just notice what people watch on TV.

How many men out there tempted to watch "As the World Turns," "General Hospital," or "The Young and the Restless?" How many guys want to see Martha Stewart make a pie?

How many women want to see "Monster Truck Rally," (without being accompanied by their husband), "WWF Smackdown," or those home videos where guys try stupid stunts and wipe out?"

Another place where the difference between the genders is obvious is the toy store.

As much as the Left likes to pretend that toy preference is a social construct, try to make a child play with a toy that does not interest them.

More than ever, little girls want pink, and they want dolls in pink packages. Don't believe it? Package your doll in another color, and see if it sells.

Boys want things that nake noise, things that blow up, things they can smack around, and things they can pretend is a weapon.

I realize that the busy bodies in comfortable shoes don't like it. Perhaps as little girls they prefered trucks to dolls. But they shouldn't force their abnormality on everyone else.

Summers
Summers said that differences between men and women might-repeat, MIGHT-account for the relatively small number of women in math and science. And for this, he's demonized?

Please.

lib feminists
if they fear comments from lib dims exactly who getsa to speak infront of them. If one phony lib claims to be this pillar a strength is worried about throwing up or feinting merely because a man suggested women and men might be different and her sisterhood takes up the clarion call, one must wonder what is accepted speech and discussion. It would seem that amongst the libs today they would rather hear from wachminimidget than discuss anything of merit. How much further will the feminists drive the discussion before it finally is taken as totally ludicrous and not worthy of comment

Madame biologist seems emotionally unequipped for the rigors of her field in which an unemotional consideration of evidence and theories, however repugnant or unappealing, is required.
