Poll
Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Hillary Clinton and the radical left dominated what Townhall.com readers were talking about during the week that was -- June 3-10, 2007

#10. Clinton: "Something Has to be Taken Away from Some People"
by Amanda Carpenter
During a nationally broadcast forum Monday evening on faith and politics Sen. Hillary Clinton (D.-N.Y.) attacked the free market and told listeners in that order to attain energy independence and provide universal health coverage, it would be necessary to “take away from some people.”

#9. Why Is Profit a Dirty Word?
by John Stossel
At a recent press conference Sen. John Kerry was upset as he snarled, "Oil companies in America are reporting record profits. Record profits." When did profit become a dirty word?"

#8. Hillary Clinton Defends Use of Corporate Jet for Family Vacations
by Dick Morris
On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton was challenged by the press about the Clinton family’s acceptance of more than $900,000 in free private travel from Infousa, a company linked to scamming the elderly.

#7. Jesus is Lord? Hewitt, Mormonism and Bigotry
by Frank Pastore
The first Christians were charged with blasphemy because they refused to confess “Caesar is Lord.” For this crime against the state, they were crucified, lit on fire, and served as human torches to light the evening parties in Caesar’s gardens.

#6. Why Americans don't like Hillary Clinton
by Star Parker
A wave of new books about Hillary Clinton casts tinder into the ongoing flames of discomfort with the New York Senator and Democratic presidential candidate.

#5. Bush's America: Roach Motel
by Ann Coulter
Republicans' defense of President Bush's immigration bill is more enraging than their defense of Harriet Miers. Back then, Bush's conservative base was accused of being sexist for opposing an unqualified woman's nomination to the highest court in the land. Now we're racists for not wanting to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

#4. Specks and Logs Syndrome
by Kevin McCollough
When is it ever allowable to observe a person's behavior and then draw conclusions about it, particularly as to whether such behavior is rational, moral, healthy etc?

#3. "Buck Fush" and the Left
by Dennis Prager
Every day I see at least one car, usually more than one, sporting a bumper sticker that reads, "Buck Fush."

#2. Adolescent Intellectuals"
by Thomas Sowell
To a small child, the reason he cannot do many things that he would like to do is that his parents won't let him. Many years later, maturity brings an understanding that there are underlying reasons for doing or not doing many things, and that his parents were essentially conduits for those reasons.

#1. A New Definition of Feminism
by Mike Adams
Recently, a bright, young, conservative woman told me I had gone too far in my criticism of feminism. She even said my harsh criticism of feminism “almost made her want to be a feminist.” In addition to being dead wrong she may be in danger of becoming a liberal.

The Nut
The Nut. I don't even have to say who I am talking about, because you know who it is (wink, wink). Yes, that old guy who looks like that crazy uncle everyone has (Medved), or a 'loon' (Hewitt), or 'invited 9/11' (Hannity), or even blames us for 9/11 (Malkin).

Yes, I too, wish the Paul-Crazies would stop talking about this 'loon.' I mean what conservative would seriously consider voting for a man with this kind of record:
One of only 4 Congressmen to support Reagan in 1976.
Never voted to raise taxes.
Never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
Never voted to raise congressional pay.
Never taken a government-paid junket.
Voted against regulating the Internet.
Is pro-life.
Voted against the Iraq war.
Doesn't participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
Returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Town Haller's, you are right: this is definitely not the record of a man we can even consider, let alone debate, because well, he's a nut after all, right? We really need to take this important time in our nation's history to convince ourselves that Rudy, McCain, Romney (you, know , the 'real' candidates) are really conservative, right?

Wake up, you wanna-be-con's! Here's how it's going down: No candidate who is in favor of 'staying the course in Iraq' will win the election in Nov 2008. So your lack of vision and devotion to the 'Top Tier' will get you Hillary-care. ONLY by negating the inherent anti-Iraq-War advantage the Dem's have will the GOP have a chance. Without that advantage, we can have a real debate between 'It-Takes-a-Village' Socialism vs The Free Market. And no one can make that argument better than, well, you know who... http://www.ronpaul2008.com

THE LOUD PEOPLE
The events of this past month have had a certain theme: Hysteria.

First there was the "MacArthur Park Melee," and the "Casa Rosada" speech that Mayor Villaregosa (Mayor Villa-La-Raza) made to his Descamisados, then the huge drama that followed.

Then there was the rioting in the streets of Germany over the G-8 Summit.

Next there was all the media nonsense over the hysterical drama queen, Paris Hilton.

And today, the citizens of Los Angeles will be treated to a Gay Pride Parade, where thousands will dress up like its Mardi Gras and behave like fools all the while demanding that we treat them like they're normal!

And WHO, do I ask you, do the RINOs in the Senate declare to be THE LOUD PEOPLE?

You guessed it.

The people who wrote emails and made phone called over the lousy Immigration Bill.

Go figure.

If this chaps your hide, as it does mine, drop by my blog to rant. My latest post is "Straight Pride Parade?"
