What's all this about President Obama wanting to decide where Americans will live?

Such a scenario sounds far-fetched, but Ronald D. Utt, a senior research fellow for economic policy studies at the Heritage Foundation, draws attention to Mr. Obama's early opposition to "suburban sprawl," adding his intention to "alter the way Americans live" took a step closer to reality by his creation of an interdepartmental initiative on housing and transportation.

"While some may hope this effort is nothing more than the president's attempt to use the White House as a bully pulpit to encourage Americans to mimic the urbane lifestyle he experienced in an upscale Chicago neighborhood, the record of past such efforts by the federal government is more troubling," Mr. Utt writes in a background paper.

He recalls 1998, when President Clinton's Environmental Protection Agency threatened to withhold transportation funds from Georgia because the Atlanta region did not meet federal air-quality standards. The EPA said it would restore funding once Georgia discouraged single-family detached housing and encouraged public transit use and investment.

Carol Browner headed the EPA when the threat was imposed on Atlanta. Today, she is assistant to the president for energy and climate change.

FEE, FIE, FIDDLE-I-O

Speaking of commuters, we had to laugh at Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. Thursday as he and President Obama discussed a vision for high-speed rail in America.

"I'm not sure it's good or bad," Mr. Biden said, "but my father referred to my many commutes - it exceeded over 7,900, they tell me. He said one day before he died, he said, 'You know ... that is the definition of a misspent adulthood, sitting on a train.' "

Mr. Biden commuted to Washington by train from his home in Wilmington, Del., during his entire Senate career.

FEAR THE RIGHT?

A group of conservative women is up in arms after the Department of Homeland Security released a controversial 10-page report warning against "right-wing extremism," despite a disclaimer: "The DHS/Office of Intelligence and Analysis has no specific information that domestic right-wing terrorists are currently planning acts of violence, but right-wing extremists may be gaining new recruits by playing on their fears about several emerging issues."

Janice Shaw Crouse of Concerned Women for America, the nation's largest public policy women's organization, points out the report also expresses concern about right-wing extremists' reaction to the election of President Obama.

"What unconscionable guilt by association," she said. "It is the worst sort of extremism for a government agency to stir up fear against those groups who hold biblical views on social issues" - identified by the department as "abortion, inter-racial crimes and same-sex marriage."

Ms. Crouse told Inside the Beltway that the DHS report is "an unbelievable bit of arrogance and incomprehensible ignorance of mainstream American values and people."

QUARTER-TON GIPPER

The U.S. Capitol Rotunda statue of former President Ronald Reagan will be unveiled June 3 and the entire congressional leadership says it will join former first lady Nancy Reagan for the unveiling.

On the Democratic side, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, as well as Republican leaders Sen. Mitch McConnell and Rep. John A. Boehner, have all confirmed their attendance.

The statue will become part of the National Statuary Hall Collection, composed of statues donated by the 50 states to honor notable persons in each state's history. The nonprofit Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation led efforts to donate a statue after California state legislators in 2006 unanimously approved a resolution to send a statue of the "Gipper" to the U.S. Capitol.

Artist Chas Fagan of North Carolina sculpted the bronze likeness, which measures 7 feet high and weighs 500 pounds.

One question

Could someone please explain to me exactly how compartmentalised housing (apartment blocks) actually help air-quality? I recall that very-sprawled Calgary (where single-family homes are the rule, and which has large swathes of grass as greenspace--admittedly Calgary does have LRT and bus transit system) has air that is generally much cleaner (especially counting by the number of days of failing quality) than Toronto (where most housing is between duplex and apartment-bloc, and which has heavier usage of public transport than Calgary) which is by comparison cramped (little greenspace--in fact, less than many non-Canadian cities of much larger population and density; entire metro-Toronto is smaller areawise than city-only Calgary)--and that is from experience, not stats!

Thanks for the info. I had never heard of this. There seems to be nothing this government won't do to sell the country down the river, but this is a particularly outrageous. I thought the politicians were merely corrupt and evil but it is becoming more and more apparent that they are also insane.

Fear Not--Protest over and over
The MSM tried to do a hatchet job on these Tea Parties and refused to report on them, and when they did, they mis-reported on them. But, just becuase the MSM ignores us, and try and slight us, it does not change the facts. The fact is that this was a diverse group of Real Americans who are sick and tired of an unresponsive government that is growing ever larger in their quest for absolute control.

This was not just a protest of the Obama Administration. This was a protest of the entire U.S. government as it exists today. We have gone from having a limited federal government which was responsible for national security and infrastructure to a government that is now trying to micromanage and run everything by the Communist Model with Centralized Control. We have been heading in this direction since the days of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. In each election since then, we have gone more and more to the socialist model of government. This trend abated after WWII, when patriotism and family values made a comeback. In the 1960's, LBJ introduced the so-alled Great Society Program which, to date has spent over 10 trillion dollars on welfare programs that were supposed to End Poverty, and in the process, they have expanded poverty to the point where we now have 40 percent of Americans who are considered to be living in poverty, and in the process, this poverty cycle of welfare recipients has destroyed the work ethic of the poor, has destroyed poor families who have children out of wedlock as teens, and the cycle continues. This failed welfare program is now responsible for rampant drug use, drug using, violence, and crime generally, esecially in the inner cities. And, what is the Obama Administration and the Democrat-Lead Congress doing about this? They are talking about expanding these welfare programs by including new classes of "victims" to the roles of government dependency. This is a stark look at Failed Socialism.

This is a stark look at Failed Socialism. And, Obama and the Liberal Congress are expanding This Failed Socialist Model at an alarming rate. The democrats Create Victims by their policies, and then recruit them as voters by promising more handouts. This is how they gained power and this is how they are now trying to seize permanent control of government. This is how Socialism works, and this type socialism is what leads to Totalitarianism. Absolute power and control is what the Obama Administration, The U.S. Congress and the U.S. Government Bureaucracy is seeking, and they found that you can get voters if you promise them that they can have all their needs met by government. And, in the process, the Obama Administration and Congress being cheered on by the Main Stream Media, are trying to create Class Envy, Class Hatred, and to make Americans afraid to protest any of what they are doing. Do you not find it interesting that Homeland Security announced their new so-called Right Wing Security Threat List In short their List included Anybody and Everybody that disagrees with what our government is currently doing. The powers that be would love to shut every body up. This is why they made the Homeland Security Report to coincide with These Tea Parties which were held in hundreds of cities nationwide. The Obama Administration and the Mainstream Media are liars, and they are not going to shut down dissent of their Mis-Leadership and policies by mis-reporting our numbers and they are not going to intimidate us by calling us Potential Rightwing Terrorists just because we disagree with their policies and the direction they are taking this country.

Most Americans do not want to become a Sociaist Dictatorship. If you can silence the opposition with Scare Tactics, you get a free ride. This is what Homeland Security is trying to do, and they are being orchestrated and directed by the Propagandists in the Obama Administration. Everything they are doing is directly out of the Handbook For Radicals which Obama has used since his days as a so-called Commie Organizer in that radical group called ACORN.
The United States Public Education System is another good example of Failed Socialism. We have gone from #3 in the world for public education in 1966 to #28 in the world today. This rapid decline in public education has resulted in the dumbing down of the populace. This was no accident. It is a direct correlation to amount of federal intervention into local and state governments. Under the Obama administration, the state and local governments are entirely cut out of the loop on local education matters. The public schools are now under direct control of the U.S. Department of Education, which was a creation of Jimmy Carter, who gave the National Teacher Unions this department. Under the Obama Administration's so-called Stimulus Plan, the USDOE got an additional 130 billion to their already 65 billion bloated budget. This 130 billion is being spent on taking absolute control of public education. All this is happening, and the main stream media has not reported one word of it. Americans are in the dark as to what this administration is doing, and that is why the Administration and the Mainstream Media is trying to Scare People away from Protests such as The Tea Parties that took place on April 15th 2009. But, their Scare Tactics and Attacks on people who have convictions and on people who are aware of what they are up to, will not work. And, for you liberals out there, you better hope that they do not shut everybody up, because if they do, the days of your freedom and liberties are numbered.

Americans are in the dark as to what this administration is doing, and that is why the Administration and the Mainstream Media is trying to Scare People away from Protests such as The Tea Parties that took place on April 15th 2009. But, their Scare Tactics and Attacks on people who have convictions and on people who are aware of what they are up to, will not work. And, for you liberals out there, you better hope that they do not shut everybody up, because if they do, the days of your freedom and liberties are numbered.

Those who ignore history are condemned to repeat it. Martin Nieomoehller (sp?), a German Lutheran pastor made the following comments that Americans should heed: "First, they came for the commuists, and I said nothing, I was not a communist. Then, they came for the labor unioninsts, and I said nothing, I was not union. Then, they came for the Gypsies, and I said nothing, I was not a Gypsy. Then, they came for intellectuals, and I said nothing, I was not an intellectual. Then, they came for the Jews, and I said nothing, I was not a Jew. Then, they came for the Catholics, and I said nothing, I was Lutheran. Then, they came for me, and there was nobody left to speak." Then, this Lutheran pastor spent the rest of his days under Hitler's regime in prison. This is what happens when we sit idly by and allow government to seize illegitimate power. The truth and exposure is the only thing that can stop them. If you are not protesting and addressing this administration, you may not have the ability to do so for very much longer if they finally do seize absolute control and power. After that, you liberal supporters of this administration, will be of no more use to them. When fascism takes place, voters are not necessary. They will not allow any dissent, and a vote implies you have a choice.

More Control
Obama and his administration want to herd the population like sheep into the corral of urban living (which I'm already part of of) where his future civilian army will be able to control us. Violence, murders, and illegal aliens are already on the rise in urban settings. The commuter buses and trains are packed during the work rush hours, along with traffic jams. Obama's home neighborhood had more killed than in Iraq in 2008. The bullet train he wants in Illinois, Chicago to St. Louis, won't work due to the number of frequent stops along the route. The train would never be able to establish its full speed. Obama's agenda is his "Super Highway" connecting Mexico, U.S. and Canada and the rural/urban people must be moved. I believe this is part of meeting with the President of Mexico and using the violence at our borders as an excuse for the meeting.

Obama with DID?
Experts who work with dissociative disorders know too well that a father who deserts a young son can cause dissociative identity disorder, formerly multiple personality disorder, in the young confused mind. Obama more and more appears to be showing he has this problem, esp since DIDs are often smart. Here's an example: when he uses a teleprompter, he seems like a diff't person when talking town-hall style. His blatant lies are another example. Being a control freak most the time, but sometimes friendly and amicable is another. As DIDs get older, the system breaks down and causes more problems, esp in decision making. DID counselors from a Christian perspective know it is also a spiritual problem (DIDs are more easily influenced by evil forces--and these evil forces desire collectivization over self-liberty & free-will) as well as a psychological one. Now, in a deep recession, is not a good time for a President with DID. People who pray should keep this in mind when praying for Obama, e.g. that Obama's pain at his father's desertion be fixed by the real Jesus' (not the black liberation theology racist revolutionary Jesus) death & resurrection, that Barack embraces the true God who wants to be a father to the fatherless, & that he becomes integrated.

You are exactly Spot On. Also, Obama is a Narcissist. He has to be the Center of Attention at all times. Going back to the Campaign, observe how he was always Alone. He never wanted anybody to share the Stage and Spotilight. Even when he accepted that he was now President and went on stage to make his Accepatance Speech on the night of the election, He hustled Michelle and the Girls back stage and took Center Spotlight. He did not even want to share the Spotlight with his own Flesh and Blood children.

Now, watch him as he parades and Struts out front when coming off an Airplane or Helicopter. He has his Secret Service Detail stay out of line with the Cameras, his International Spotlighters lead by the Hollywood Camera Crews that created this Monster.

And never forget this either. A Narcissist is also a Sociopath. A Sociopath has no Conscience. And, a person with no Conscience can lie and give the appearance of Sincerity, because a Serial Liar Narcissist Sociopath believes His Own Lies, because a Narcissist also suffers from Delusional thinking, and Obama has Delusions of Grandeur that is common for a Narcissist. Obama is seriously Mentally and Spiritually Deranged.

Perspective
Since I was born, the following presidents have held office. See if you see a trend here. Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, Obama. Which ones seem to stick out? I've seen riots, gas wars, protest marches, police brutality, the fall of the Soviet threat, inflation, and depression. I've seen Americans as a nation go from conservative to lib and back again. I've seen Archie Bunker share the airwaves with Red Foxx. Every generation has improved on the foibles of the last, yet we are still a free nation with Liberty and Justice for All. Let's keep it that way!

You are right on. And consider this:

Auto manufacturers have been manipulated in ways that will lead to their demise. EPA will continually tighten regulations until they drive the last nail in the coffin. But Al Gore called for the end of combustion engines by 2017 and also for clustered/attached housing where workers are required to live walking/bicycle distance to their work.

Every study on urbanization has shown that as people lose privacy and space, all sorts of crimes increase. Domestic violence, drug use, robberies, gang culture, murders, etc. ad nauseum.

Gore called for travel between urban areas to be by rail. Looks like the earth worshippers agenda is on a roll.

Prohibition was government’s “Idiocy of the Twentieth Century”.

Obama Administration environmentalists proposed the “Insanity of the Twenty-First Century”: Eliminating oil, natural gas, and coal - which is required to make steel for rockets - to spend trillions of dollars of monopoly money to shoot tons of pollution into the upper atmosphere, to cool a planet that has been cooling for a decade.

Launching thousands of rockets will add thousands of cubic miles of rocket exhaust to the atmosphere, to dump tons of pollution into the atmosphere, with thousands of rockets falling back to earth and igniting fires, which will burn up thousands of cubic miles of oxygen which we breathe.

Winds will move the pollution around Earth, so, how many times will they have to launch thousands of rockets to dump tons of pollution, start many fires, burn many cubic miles of oxygen, until the planet is covered?

This begs the other question: Since other countries don’t have Obama voters, will they want their atmospheres polluted?

How soon will the pollution fall to earth and turn the air toxic, killing everybody inhaling it?

Can’t the Messiah make Earth perfect with a command, like he lowered the sea level?

The Latest Obama Nightmare
Well done, Greyhawk, a perfect summation of our situation.

I have managed to convince a few of my friends to accompany me on my second Tea Party protest. Two others were hampered by illness. We need this movement to keep getting larger to keep the pressure on the administration which is rushing at unbelievable speed to crush dissent and undermine the country.

Most people are going along blithly and happily ignorant (some to the point of saying, "Don't tell me that; I don't want to hear it." Putting their heads in the sand won't save them and it certainly doesn't help the rest of us who are putting ourselves on the line.

for your spot-on posts.

I, unfortunately, have a spouse who is among the 'hide-your-head-in-the-sand' group who do not wish to know anything other than what is promoted by the MSM, which, we all know, is controlled completely by Soros, Obama, and cronies. When I try to tell him about some of the things I've learned via other avenues of education about O and his administration, he shuts me off, saying 'I haven't seen or read anything about...'

Of course he hasn't!

I, on the other hand, have done much research and homework beginning back when Barry was running for POTUS. What I learned sickened and frightened me.

Although I have not been able to attend a Tea Party protest, I am at each and every one in spirit, and I defend the cause in writing each and every chance I get.

Far too many people in this country do not understand the concepts of personal responsibility, work ethic, and living within their means. The government was never supposed to be a complete 'cradle-to-grave' caregiver. Those with their hands out, generation after generation, should be made to work at something in return for their dole, and that dole should be limited.

Government was never meant to be so intrusive. Politics was never meant to be a career.

Government of the people, by the people, for the people has vanished and we, the people, need to bring it back!

Thank you Yooper in Illinois. Yes, we must keep dissent and demonstrations going. Most of us have to work and cannot organize like the left who live off of the government have time to do, and of course, we average Americans who work for a living and pay taxes do not get ACORN money. ACORN hires their so-called "volunteers" using the billions of taxpayer dollars that Obama and the Liberal Democrats hand out to them. In the so-called stimulus plan that just went out, ACORN and other Radical Communist Community Organizing Groups (MOBS FOR HIRE), go 2 billion dollars of this money, and every dime of it is spent on Promoting the Democrat Party, and in organizing and hiring Mobs to put on demonstrations. We need to have a TEA party that directly targets ACORN and all these other HIRED MOBS.

It is far easier to control a population if they are clustered together. It also makes it easier for them to convince the populace to inform on their neighbors.

Most people are like your spouse who look to the MSM and their 10 or 15 minutes of propaganda they put out each day in the guise of being news. There are so many things going on in this country that need to be reported, but the networks get together and decide what Propaganda they are going to air each day. The news media experts know what they are doing, and they know that they are not credible, but they also know that the average American is perfectly willing to Remain in the dark with their heads in the sand. That old adage, "Ignorance is bliss" is something that the media understands, and they, therefore keep people ignorant and un-informed or worse, ill-informed. This is not accident. It is their plan.

This Article is Nonsense
First, "urban" and "urbane" are not synonyms; the author of this article needs to look up the meaning of these two words.

Second, if city real estate is so undesirable, why does it cost more than suburban and rural real estate? New condos going up where I live cost from $1-$10 million while I see on HGTV's "House Hunters" that in the suburbs of any Southern city I could buy a 3000 square foot house for less than $300,000.

Third, anyone who has lived in the suburbs and spent 2-3 hours a day in his car, bearing meanwhile the expense of maintaining one automobile per household resident over the age of sixteen, probably knows something already about the cost of suburban sprawl---the cost in money, in time navigating traffic, in hours spent away from home and family, and in stress. And I haven't said one word about air pollution or dependence on foreign oil.

Fourth, as usual, conservatives are living in the past. "White Flight" to the suburbs was so 1950's. "McMansions" were so 1980's. What is happening now is that such city properties as mills, factories, schools, and institutions have gone condo in a big way, as meanwhile new apartment buildings are constructed. People who grew up in the suburbs are charmed by the novelty of being able to WALK TO THINGS---like shopping, the dentist, a restaurant or bar or cafe, school, church, and WORK.

But, silly me, I forgot the conservative mindset: nice rich white people live in the suburbs and drive cars; bad poor black people live in the city and take the bus.

Thanks MyOpine. The media is so out of touch that they just don't care. They want to make news instead of reporting on the news. I read an interesting book by a guy named Ben Bagdikian back in the 1980's called Media Monopoly, and in this book, it warned of what could happen with a Media Monopoly. And, of course, today, that is exactly what has happened. Most of the media is owned, controlled and operated by just a few corporate entities. The New York Times, for example, even owns our local news paper in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and of course, their little affiliate marches to the tune of the New York Times, and in fact, carries many of their syndicated columns, which are all intellectually dishonest and always slanted heavily to the Left. The only news I watch is FOX, and as far as I am concerned, they do not go near as far as they should at exposing this government and they do not speak as bluntly as they should about what is going on in this country. Everybody is too politically correct for my tastes when it comes to the media. That is why I get on the internet and read blogs on Town Hall, and other sites. There is not as much Politically Correct timindness on these sites. But, on a national level, we have got to get some spokesman/woman who takes off the gloves and calls Obama and other traitors of this nation out and challenges them. Again, thanks for all you do, and keep Blogging.

Lily, if you love city life you should live in a city. The point of the blurb was that the Obama administration seems bent on policies that will try to force people into certain living arrangements.

By the way, I grew up in a small town and live in a small city (100,000ish) and would not trade this lifestyle for an urban one. Nor do I believe I should subsidize those who do make that choice.

Lily it is obvious you are suffering from Angry Socialist Syndrome. You immediately jump to the idea that anyone who doesn't support federal iniatives to shape where people live is "the rich" or "racist." Acquiring walking distance proximity to places you need or want to go is not worth the crime, the crowds, the taxes, the smell, the poor school systems and general tension that seems to go along with urban life. If you like that stuff, more power to you.

Thanks for this insight. They’ve already been polluting the skies. Those chemtrails they lay in our sky day in and day out. In my area, they start on a crystal clear morning and spray for 4 to 5 hours – a couple of planes flying a formation east to west. then north to south, and they lay a criss-cross pattern until the sky is completely overcast.

I’m concerned about our food supply. It takes bright sunny days to grow food crops. In my area, in my backyard, we had a 1/3 acre garden which was fabulous. Neighbors came by to “see the garden” and we shared veggies and berries. Since this spraying began, our garden is pitiful, so much so, we just stopped trying a couple years ago. BTW chemtrails is/was a project called “Geoengineering,” and I suspect it is the result of this bizarre testing that has them convinced they can cool the earth by polluting the air we breathe. Their plans could backfire, and instead of cooling, it could prevent gases and heat from escaping and cause further warming. But won’t it certainly affect the food supply?

This may be part of Agenda 21. In the early ‘90s, I learned of a really radical environmental plan greatly affecting the United States. After the Earth Summit in Rio in 1992 (182 countries attended), “Wild Earth” published the 87 page “Wildlands Project.” These plans are to implement Agemda 21 which calls for “Sustainable Development.” Enter Clinton, Al Gore.

Urban living not for everyone
Lily...my once quiet neighborhood in Chicago is now full of crime. Since Mayor Daley started destroying the low-income neighborhoods so his buddies could build hi-income condos, he has moved all the subsidized dwellers throughout the city. Crime has risen and the police cannot keep up with it. Now I see police cars speeding around my area at least 6 times a day. Drugs, home invasions, and gun shots are becoming a norm now. Gun fights broke out at our 4th of July celebration and at Obama's celebration at the Lakefront. Media didn't report it because the shooters were gangs from Obama's neighborhood. My husband's a retired cop so we hear from cops.

Obama's grassroot civilian army has started patrolling the downtown area. This is why urban living is to be feared.

Once upon a time we lived in a nice upper-middle-class suburb. 1) Our home was broken into and robbed by a white boy whose mother owned a local business. The boy was addicted to drugs and was stealing things he could sell to get drug money. 2) People were held up at gunpoint in the parking lot of the shopping mall 2 miles from our home, and all of this was in a lovely "planned community" where teenagers routinely stole bikes, strollers, and garden furniture and threw them into the lake. 3) Runners were accosted and robbed on the bike paths. There was also a rape. 4) The real estate saleswoman who sold our home was mugged and knocked flat in front of our home after holding an open house. I repeat, this was in a beautiful suburban community with home values going to well over $1 million.

But by all means people should live where they feel safe. If they can find such a place. Some city neighborhoods are better than others and caution is now necessary everywhere.

Ah Greyhawk, I am no stranger to rural and small-town Illinois. The lake where I swam as a child (1940's) was later (1960's) the lake where a black boy's body was thrown after his ears and genitals had been cut off. Just ole' boys being patriots, no doubt.

When Obama talks about the use of energy resources necessary to maintain a lifestyle in which a family of two buys a 5000 square foot totally heated and air-conditioned house located 40 miles from their jobs, the energy math is not difficult. Many of us have lived in suburban areas where a car per person is necessary for everybody to get to work and school---there was at a time some years ago when we had five cars at our house---I know this scene. Usually there IS no alternative transportation and (this always fascinates me) there is an aversion to using public transportation, among some, even when it's available. I believe what Obama suggested is that it would be to our energy advantage to rethink our location priorities and build some trains and buses into our infrastructure. The 1950's are gone and huge looping cloverleaf intersections are no longer cute---they are a time-consuming, energy-consuming pain.

But, of course you live in Illinois and likely your suburb was too close to that Cespool of Crime and Corruption, Chicago. That is one of the things that the inner city thugs just love. The Trains and Busses of Mass Transit go both ways, in and out of the city, and the Thugs use the Mass Transit to go out to the Suburbs to do their crimes, and then ride the busses and trains back. Also, in Chicago and other places that have mass transit, most people are afraid to ride them because of the thugs who also ride them. I was in Baltimore, Md. about 15 years ago, and it was so bad, that the only people still riding the mass transit system were the thugs themselves. This is what happens when you have a socialist government. Chicago, New York, Baltimore, D.C. and most other large metro cities have long been Socialist. That is enough of a reason never to live there. 40 to 50 percent of Socialist City Populations do not work, and the Socialist Government's in these cities want to tax the ones who do work at excessive rates in order to support their Socialist Spending on deadbeats, rules, laws and infrastructure, including mass transit which the deadbeats ride for free and make it unsafe for anybody else to use. Keep your City Lilly. Hope you don't get mugged or worse on your way to the sidewalk.

I wonder if he was worried about energy and carbon footprints when he has Pizza Shipped From the Mid-West for an evening with his comrades at the White House who were invited to watch a basketball game? I wonder if he is being conservative with energy every time he gets in Air Force One to jet away on his Whistle Stops around the country and world where he goes and trashes the United States and denounces us to our enemies?

Al Gore, the Eco-Terrorist spokesman, lives in a mansion in Tennesse that he said a couple of years ago, is using enough electricity monthly that his electric bill is $4,000 per month. But, I forgot, he is a Limo Liberal, he can do this while telling the rest of us that we are trashing the planet with our SUV's. This entire Global Warming Eco-Terrorist movement is being promoted by the White House because they have a bunch of Pet Projects being promoted by their supporters who they have promised to funnel hundreds of billions of our tax money to so that they can Make a Killing off the government, while telling us that they are doing it for our own good. This whole environmental lunacy is nothing but a shakedown so that This Administration Can Raise Huge Taxes on the rest of us so that they can further expand the size and power of government and to raise money to funnel into the hands of their buddies who are supposedly working on new technologies.

Should we ask
how radically Obama is pursuing the mandates of Agenda 21, the UN protocol signed onto by the US at the Earth Summit in Rio, 1992?

In '93, Clinton by Exec. Order established the President's Council for Sustainable Development, and Al Gore took the ball and ran with it. He wrote the environmental bible – Earth in the Balance - stating changes the USA would have to make to fulfill the US’s promise to lead lead the way in satisfying the mandates of the UN protocol for "restoring the earth."

By now you are saying, this writer is crazy. Plwase watch the video Agenda 21(link at end) and do some research. Read Gore’s book and ask how much is becoming reality. McCaslin’s article has stopped short – but is on the right track. Put the pieces together. That is what this administration is doing. Pieces of the puzzle have been created over the last few decades, and now, using “climate change” as a cover and a blind since 1992, the next step needed was to find a President with such appeal the populace would accept anything unquestioned.

The actual plan for the future of the US was detailed in an 87 page special publication distributed to environmental activist groups. The title was “The Wildlands Project.” Editor John Davis said in his chapter, “WE Role in the Wildlands”: “Wild Earth’ exists in part to remind conservationists that in the long run all lands and waters should be left to the whims of Nature, not to the selfish desires of one species which chose for itself the misnomer ‘Homo sapiens’, humanizing of landscapes must stop now and be reversed.”

Summarizing his thoughts on the Plan, Davis concludes, “[d]oes all the foregoing mean that Wild Earth and The Wildlands Project advocate the end of industrial civilization? Most assuredly.”
