Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

"The liberal elite editors and publishers of the Boston Globe have been famously monikered with the term 'The bowtied bumkissers of Morrissey Boulevard' — Morrissey Boulevard being the home address of the Boston Globe," notes Eddie C., who like most of the men weighing in could live without bow ties.

But then we opened this sincere rather touching note from Denise Noe:

"It's upsetting to see men who wear bow ties perceived negatively. After all, what does almost every man wear on his wedding day?"

Many good men

Navy blue will be shed for black tie Monday night at the annual Lone Sailor Awards gala presented by the U.S. Navy Memorial to sea service veterans who have distinguished themselves in their careers while exemplifying the core values of honor, courage and commitment.

This year's honorees, feted at the Grand Hyatt, include: legendary St. Louis Cardinal and baseball hall-of-famer Stan "The Man" Musial; Republican Sen. John Warner, former Navy secretary and Virginia's longest-serving senator; Tom Benson, the owner of the New Orleans Saints who demonstrated his support of the city following Hurricane Katrina;and Morgan L. Fitch, former partner at Fitch, Even, Tabin and Flannery law firm in Chicago, who founded the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps youth program.

Inside the Beltway is told that House Armed Services Committee Chairman Ike Skelton, Missouri Democrat, will present Musial's award to no better "pinch hitter" than fellow St. Louis Cardinals legend and hall-of-famer Lou Brock.

Huckabee selected as the V.P. candidate on the ticket with Rudy!

Sound about right?

KENNEDY TRUST
Kennedy money is no big secret. Steve Smith (died) is Northern Trust family living in Winnetka Illinois (big bucks). He managed the Trust deriving its taxable dollars from primarially the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. The story of the scotch bottles I cannot verify but if it is it goes back to Old Joe and Prohibition Days. From the rents through the MM taxes are paid and the derivitive income goes into tax exempt bonds to which the income is distributed to the stirpes in the trust. Wishes being the men (Teddy) get twice the derivitive paid to each of the sisters. Ethel Skakel is Great Lakes Chemicals (clorine like in your swimming pool and clorine used during WW One as a lethal gas). The last number I heard - twenty years ago - is that Teddy received - tax free - $850,000.oo before he got paid as a senator.

The Trust money is thinning out with grandchildren and greats. Shrivers are light, Lawfords are light, Kennedy-Skakel are rich forever. Kennedy-Smith are very rich and safe.
