Democrats' Health Care "Reform": The Next Job Killer

Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

There they go again. Democrats have controlled the White House and both chambers of Congress for less than six months, yet already their tax-and-spend ways are hurting America’s economy – and taking away jobs.

Their first act of business was to pass a so-called “stimulus” package they promised would save or create 3.5 million jobs and keep the national unemployment rate below eight percent.

Instead, last week the rate jumped to 9.5 percent, its highest level in more than 25 years.

Rather than reversing course, however, Democrat leaders continued down this perilous path by forcing through the House a climate change bill that would be properly described as a “cap-and-tax” scheme. Experts say its carbon-trading rules will kill millions of jobs in an economy that desperately needs them.

Of course, this wasn’t enough to convince Democrats of the error of their ways.

Next up is health care, which is in dire need of attention. But – perhaps unsurprisingly – the projected effects of Democratic proposals on business and jobs are dismal.

Take small business, for example. It’s often called the engine of the U.S. economy because it employs approximately one out of six Americans and provides $1.7 trillion in annual wages.

If we leave it to the Democrats, that engine will break down. A national mandate on small business to provide health care would eliminate 1.6 million jobs over a five-year period according to a study by the National Federation of Independent Business Research Foundation. Two out of three of those 1.6 million jobs lost in five years would be shed from small businesses.

Other studies have painted an even more troubling picture of the Democrats’ planned government takeover of our health care system. Based on a model developed by Council of Economic Advisors Chair Christina Romer, it is estimated that some 4.7 million jobs could be lost as a result of taxes on businesses that cannot afford to provide health insurance coverage.

Make no mistake: The Democrats’ proposal is a government-run health program and something that absorbs tax revenue rather than creates it, which will contribute to a prolonged recession.

The plan also will take away the health care plans millions of Americans already have. A June study by the independent Lewin Group found that 114 million Americans would be forced out of their current private health coverage under the House Democratic plan. So much for the President’s assurance that “if you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period.”

Sponsors of the Democrat plan seem all too willing to ignore the fact that we can’t pay for the government-funded health care programs we already have. Consider Medicare: Its trustees recently reported that the Great Society program’s funds will be depleted by 2017. That’s two years earlier than the date they projected last year – largely because of the recession that Democrats seem to keep fueling.

Add to that dire prediction the new spending of their government-run health care plan – not to mention the equally troubled Medicaid and Social Security systems. You don’t have to have a Ph.D. in economics to see that our children and grandchildren will be paying for these programs for the rest of their lives.

Republicans have serious reservations about the Democratic health plan. And we have developed solutions we believe can get the job done.

In fact, we think we can contribute to meaningful change of our health care system in this decade just as we spearheaded welfare reform in the 1990s and the tax code in the 1980s. Some of our Republican proposals to change health care in America include:

• Creating opportunities for small businesses to pool their resources to offer higher quality coverage.

• Providing tax credits to help small businesses cover the administrative costs of establishing and maintaining health coverage.

• Giving incentives to states to redesign insurance laws to make health care coverage more affordable to their residents.

• Cutting regulations so insurance companies can compete for your business, which allows you to shop around for the best coverage and price that fits your needs.

• Allowing tax deductions to offset the cost of purchasing individual insurance.

• Fixing medical liability rules that make trial lawyers rich at the expense of patients and doctors.

These are just some of the many ideas my fellow Republicans and I have proposed to improve health care in the United States. You can check out more at www.gop.gov.

If this recession is going to end, Democrats need to focus on creating jobs – not killing them. The American people deserve no less.

National Health Care Disaster
Now they are saying that small business will have to cover employees? Well, I have a small business, the only thing that saves me on that (I think) is because most of my employees (9) are covered by the parent. They are hight school or college.
The other thig is I have had breast cancer twice, and even though we are now on Cobra (because of my husband being laid off) I want and still am able to choice who my doctor is, when I have my appoinment time, within reason, and and tests that need done at a resonable time.
Besides, we do live in the United States not Canada.

Oh, you live in fear all right.
Greyhawk? Ha! You fear our government. You are so cynical, and so unabliged to read facts that you will make up your fear and turn you world into an obligatory regurgitation of misinformed complaints.

That's what TH columnists foment, regurgitated nonsense, meant to cause fear and loathing of the real world. The obfuscating tactic they and now you are perpetuating is to rationalize your obstruction of a quality America. Truly unAmerican of you, as I see it.

I have numerous links throughout this thread, and I will repeat two.

I've made note that it's too early to judge the stimulus as it was planed to hit in Sept. this year through Oct. next year. How can anyone with a brain argue against something that hasn't been implemented?

Obama's Plan? Destruction of The Economy
Ignore Obama's Words and Policies!!
And, today, it was announced that Obama is going to start Targeting Small Businesses to give Stimulus Money to. Wonder what that's all about? Well, if you just read this article, you know.

Obama and the Libs in Congress want to get their Tentacles into Small Businesses by giving them Stimulus Money, and of course, with all the Federal Strings Attached. The Strings designed to Strangle Them Out of Business.

The absolute and complete destruction of America's Foundations is what Obama is up to and he must be stopped.

It is time for a massive letter writing and phone calling campaign to forewarn all the members of Congress that their Days Are Numbered in Office should they continue to allow this Steamrolling Destruction of Our Economy and the American Way of Life.

As for me, I am going to continue to Go Against Obama and his policies and be as politically incorrect as is possible every opportunity that I get. I refuse to Live in Fear from Obama or of any of his policies. If enough Americans would just stand up and Tell Them that Enough is Enough, they would get the message.

I goofed. I meant to say that they take the health care under AARP from my social security check. I am not on Medicare.

My daughter has medicare because of epilepsy and they are working on getting her onto medicaid for health payments. God knows where this new "idea" of Oblob will take us with that issue.

Justin

Actually the GOP has put forth several excellent plans.

The Liberals have blocked them because they provide taxpayers too many choices.

Its just that people who watch MSNBC don't know about it.

j ewing
"We are told that General Motors went bankrupt because they couldn't afford retiree health care costs. How can that be, when every retiree gets Medicare? Shouldn't Medicare be picking up the tab for everything, and covered by the premiums being paid in by EVERYBODY? Why not Medicare for all? Because we would have third world health care a week after it became effective, and none at all in about a year."

Medicare health benefits are NOT free. The only real "option" is which plan (A, B C...etc) do you want to have and what company do you want to pay for that coverage out of your medicare benefits. I have my health plan through AARP because their cost is lower than some of the other companies and. because they are such a huge organization, the chances are that they'll be here next year. The cost is pulled from my medicare payment and what is left over is deposited into my bank account.

Liberals don't care! Boohoo! Poor me!
Why are TH regulars so self-centered? For the love of God read something outside of TH or the broadcasts of Prager, Hewitt, Beck or Limbaugh.

An IRS "Health Insurance Credit"
To President Obama...Don't mess with the health care system in the USA!!! Mess with the health insurance system if you feel like you must do something...

There is an easy way to a solution for health care, if the objective is to force everyone in the United States to have health care access simply stop the Federal Income Tax Credit practice and direct that money to the buying of health insurance for those same people. These are by and large people who do not pay any, zero $, income taxes anyway, so there is a negative drain on other taxpayers with nothing in return realized. A shift from a “tax credit” to a “health insurance credit” would solve two problems with one solution.

Liberals just don't care.

The more people they can hurt the better.

Liberals are all about hurting people.

This is why so many people hate Liberals.

You would think that Liberals would understand that if so many people hate them that they must be doing something wrong. That they really are not making people's lives better.

They are just too arrogant to come to the understanding that they just might possibly be hurting people.

They only see what they want to see.

Republican plan no better
It doesn't attack the actual problems. Sure, the tort reform thing is great, but the tax issue is a huge no-no. Don't provide ANYBODY tax breaks on pay-all insurance programs. This is what's driving up costs. If you really want to provide tax breaks, hit catastrophic only, not prescription drugs, not annual checkups, not regular medical care of any sort regardless of what kind it is.

Furthermore, CFR Title 42 needs to go. The whole thing. Medicare needs to go. Medicaid needs to go. Special provisions for HMOs need to go. SCHIP needs to go. Then we may start getting things back in order.

Republican ideas tend to flow around their version of government control. It isn't Republican vs Democrat control, it's a matter of no one should be controlling it. The Republican idea of using our tax money to set up cooperatives and give out tax breaks are not going to solve anything, just distort the medical market in the same manner as done now.

"Actually
Government health care will create jobs because small businesses will actually know what their health care costs will be and will be able to afford to give their employees coverage. Because small business costs will go down, they will be more profitable, will be able to create more jobs, and will help the economy"

Tell me you really didn't say that! The first sentence is absolutely nonsensical, and the second sentence, together with the first REALLY gives me pause! Haven't you ever heard the expression, "There's TWO ways to do anything . . . the right way and THE GOVERNMENT'S WAY"!!! If anything, the cost to small business will be GREATER, not less. If this plan (and I use the term loosely) will cost the small firm because it will no longer be able to compare between competing medical programs because it will be forced to take the government's "plan". It will become the government's way or the highway." It would seem, according to my experience the government will either sue the small business owner or commit him to time in prison!

I will guarantee that jobs will be lost and businesses will go out of existence. Mark my words!

Taxed out!
Between the Tax and cap, and the bloated Health care, they are trying to push on us, not to mention all the other fees and taxes they are imposing on us and all our future generations. this administration of taxcheats and non thinking spend thrifts are bankrupting us. We, the citizens of this country need to say stop! we want our Country back. No dictators allowed here!

I love your posts . . . they're informative, comprehensive in nature and things I usually agree with! However, BECAUSE OF ALL THOSE CAPITAL LETTERS, THEY SOMETIMES TAKE, IN SOME CASES, TWICE AS MUCH (OR MORE) TO READ! In writing school they teach you only to use all capital letters is either in a title or to GIVE EMPHASIS to a point.

Trust me, others will agree with me, I think. Please, it is not my intent to unjustly criticize you but to help you out. Believe me, your posts will look more organized and even professional!

Obama is SCAR!
I had the opportunity to watch THE LION KING the other day.

And while it clearly can be a allegory for many of life's lessons and struggles, it is CERTAINLY an allegory for Obama's AmeriKa!

Obama is NOT the Lion King - either Mustafa or Simba - but he IS - quite obvioulsy - SCAR - the FRAUDULENT LEADER OF THE PRIDE LAND.

And CLEARLY - the Hyennas - one of whom was voiced over by that LIBERAL DIM WIT - WHOOPEE (cushion) GOLDBERG - were obviously OBAMA supporters - especially his ACORN supporters.

But the most symbolic connection that the movie had to Obama's AmeriKa was the desolation and destruction of the PRIDE LAND by SCAR - the FAKE kings's POLICIES!

The PRIDE LAND under SCAR - like AmeriKa under Obama began to decay into a barren, desolate, inhabitable wasteland!

If you get a chance to watch the LION KING any time soon, watch it as if SCAR is OBAMA and the PRIDE LAND is AmeriKa under Obama.

It is a PERFECT allegory.

If Only
If we didn't have 8-10 Liberal Republican Democrats in the House that believed they were so powerful that they could pass legislation and control the temperature of the earth(The Al Gore Bill), your plan might work. If we didn't have 70 Republicans who believed that Punitive Taxation against AIG or Smokers was not wrong, your plan might work (HR 1256). And in spite of your good intentions, I believe it will be Liberal Republican Democrats, that will cast the deciding Vote to Nationalize Health Care because deep inside they to believe that if people do not smoke, no one will ever get sick. They want you to pay for health care, but to never have a reason to file a claim. Just like our Insurance companies today. Welcome to the mind of a Liberal/Socialist.

One of the best weapons we have is our voices and our ability to educate those to ignorant or lazy to look any further than the tip of their noses when Obama and other crooks promise them the moon with these asinine schemes. You have to realize that what we are dealing with is people who are so naive as to allow themselves to vote into power a Marxist that could swoon them into fainting spells by the theatrical delivery of an empty slogan: "Change you can believe in." and "I have the answers." Even though he had no record of achievement that should have made anybody think that he knew how to oversee anything, including the financing of his own home.

One way I have found to be effective is to write letters to your local newspapers. Educate your neighbors, your children, and those who live in your communities by submitting your opinions to your "Letters to the Editor" sections. People read these and learn.

Speaking out, whether in person, or through written forums like this IS fighting.

And whatever you call it...it works to have an educated electorate that knows WHAT they are supposed to be fighting for and against...and why.

It's a waste of time and energy to fight with an empty head and no understanding of why you are taking the position you are.

That's why we're in the position we are, in the first place.

insurance costs
John;

You lost all credibility when you used the phrase "insurance company" in the same sentence as the word "compete".
The only competition the insurance industry is which lobby group can give the largest campaign donations to individual politicians.
Insurance is the most coddled, protected and non-competitive industry in America.

Pelosi Healthcare Deal-Red Flag 2
Several Blue Dogs met with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi late Thursday, and Democratic committee leaders scrambled to negotiate with the group, offering a plan that would arrange set rates that hospitals can charge patients.

Huh? Elected officials and their appointed bureaucrats setting rates for what hospitals across America (and in your community) can charge "patients"? (read: government bureaucrats who will be "representing" patient "interests").

This alone, should serve as a red flag to consumers. What do you think will happen when hospitals decide they can't offer you (or your aging parents, or sick children) the care they need under those Pelosi-controlled "set rates"?

The ramifications of Speaker Pelosi’s “deal” of forcing hospitals to operate under rate limits set by bureaucrats in the federal government are obvious: Hospitals will be forced to withhold certain procedures from patients the government feels are too costly to provide, without adequate compensation.

You won’t have to worry about filing for bankruptcy to pay for those extreme and life-threatening chronic health conditions. Don’t expect government bureaucrats to be overly concerned when they are no longer available to you according to their refusing to authorize them based upon their "pre-set rate" cost-saving criteria, either.

What with Nancy Pelosi and Congress-appointed bureaucrats making all the decisions, their won't be much reason for you to be involved in ANY decisions concerning your healthcare.

...the government will be right there, ready to make them all for you and your doctors and hospitals.

I sure they'll let you have it...real good.

Government Healthcare is a job killer
I lost the best job I ever had when the Clintons got elected and Hillary was going to overhaul our health care system. Demand for New Medical equipment at that time for hospitals dropped significantly. The company I worked for downsized and moved their manufacturing base over seas. This was just based on speculation of what might happen. I cannot imagine what things would be like it government succeeds. Hospitals and clinics will not replace equipment and upgrade facilities uner government healthcare programs. My insurance at that time was an 80/20 indemnity plan I was happy to pay my 20% plus my lower premiums. We are supposed to save a portion of our incomes to take care of ourselves. Not depend on government or any one else.

Pelosi Healthcare Deal-Red Flag 1

There are plenty horror stories about crushing healthcare costs. Arguments against government socialization of healthcare are being skewed by socialized medicine/healthcare proponents as being made by those who don’t feel we need a change.

Many Americans who recognize the need for change, however, feel this current bill’s passage will result in inferior healthcare and healthcare rationing by government bureaucrats whose objective to only reduce costs will also result in reducing critical care, using advanced age, prognoses, and other arbitrary criteria to deem certain individuals as undeserving of expensive, life-extending treatments and medications.

That's not "change we can believe in."

Why pass a bill allowing the bankrupt federal government to take over our healthcare decisions when there is no way to fund such a program from its very inception?

How is it that people are willing to cede these quality of care decisions to a fiscally out-of-control federal government which has already proven no compunctions about passing critical legislation without feeling a need to read it beforehand, or even know what we are agreeing to?

In the House, a large bloc of moderate Democrats known as Blue Dogs wrote a letter demanding a slowdown for health legislation, just as a bill was set to be introduced. The group, which numbers more than 50, said they won't support a bill that's not fully paid for and expressed doubts over increasing taxes.

JUST REMEMBER
The government took care of Terry Shiavo
Now they want to take care of you.

Govt. Health Care/ Ins.--All you libs--
Are worried about the Wrong Thing. Look up the "Cloward Piven Strategy." and you'll Know what's goin' on. --When the Social Infrastructure collapses, [driven by the current economic meltdown]---Unemployment, Free Health Care, Medicare, Medicaid, Soc.Sec., Welfare, and ALL other Govt. Programs will be overwhelmed and cease to function. Then-- Barky O, will declare Martial Law. He will Proclaim himself "King Hussein of Amerika". He will use his Homeland Security Force, to round up the dissenters, and enforce his Mandates. Govt. Health Care will be the last thing on your mind.

Be Aware
There's one thing that John Kline misses in his analysis of health care: How to cover the health issues of those who cannot afford health insurance.

Also, I wish these writers would list the sources of their material. For example, his comments that, “Based on a model developed by Council of Economic Advisors Chair Christina Romer, it is estimated that some 4.7 million jobs could be lost as a result of taxes on businesses that cannot afford to provide health insurance coverage.” Many of us, rather than simply giving a knee-jerk comment, like some, would like to cross-reference the information for truth. I could not find information of the web, and find it implausible a representative of the President would say something so antithetical to his own program.

An example of how why we need to cross-reference information, Mr. Kline's bias toward the details of the Lewin study can be seen in his statement, “The (President's) plan also will take away the health care plans millions of Americans already have. A June study by the independent Lewin Group found that 114 million Americans would be forced out of their current private health coverage under the House Democratic plan. So much for the President’s assurance that 'if you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period.' (Underscoring my own)

I was able to find the Lewin study [http://www.lewin.com/content/publications/LewinCostandCoverageImpactsofPublicPlan-Alternative%20DesignOptions.pdf] , and, like any objective study, it does not use emotive terminology such a 'take away' or 'forced', but rather speaks in in neutral terms intimating a 'change' to the public plan—partially due, I suppose, to the $200 per month cost difference per family. Why do you want to pay higher premium just to support the insurance industry. Let them be competitive.

Lesson: Don't believe any thing you can't verify.

Health care
As soon as I see the Federal Government fix Medicaid and Medicare I will believe that they can nationalize health care and make it work! How about Social Security, Amtrak? How many examples do we need to know that our damn Gov cant't run a business? Especially the tax and spend Dems! This is a disaster waiting to happen, and it will!

hope and change
Well, he didn't say what kind of change, now did he! I don't think that this country can stand 4 years of this leftist looney bin!

If you want a seriously GREAT read, that is funny, poignant, yet satirical against Democrats and liberals, the read The BIG Black Lie. http://theblacksphere.net/site/my-book/ http://www.amazon.com/BIG-Black-Lie-Learned-Democrat/dp/06 1530222X The author is the black Ann Coulter, and his book is a blueprint for how conservatives will win the next elections!

To Terry:
You are perfectly free to engage in any of those healthful or money-saving ventures that you wish. Why not leave the rest of us free as well? That is the fundamental issue. Liberals and Democrats mean well, and promise us the moon. They promise we can have all the health care we want, of higher quality, and it will cost us less than we are spending now. Then they propose to create some one-size-fits-all boondoggle that cannot possibly work in the real world, and never has.

We are told that General Motors went bankrupt because they couldn't afford retiree health care costs. How can that be, when every retiree gets Medicare? Shouldn't Medicare be picking up the tab for everything, and covered by the premiums being paid in by EVERYBODY? Why not Medicare for all? Because we would have third world health care a week after it became effective, and none at all in about a year.

Health care reform
I agree with Mr. Kline, changes need to be made and He has the right idea. A government
run healthcare system isn'e going to work the
way the democrats and Obama want to de it. We
as tax paying Americans need to speak up about
this situation.

WENDELL POTTER: : I've seen a company stock price fall 20 percent in a single day, when it did not meet Wall Street's expectations with this medical loss ratio.

For example, if one company's medical loss ratio was 77.9 percent, for example, in one quarter, and the next quarter, it was 78.2 percent. It seems like a small movement. But investors will think that's ridiculous. And it's horrible.

BILL MOYERS: That they're spending more money for medical claims.

WENDELL POTTER: Yeah.

BILL MOYERS: And less money on profits?

WENDELL POTTER: Exactly. And they think that this company has not done a good job of managing medical expenses. It has not denied enough claims. It has not kicked enough people off the rolls. And that's what-- that is what happens, what these companies do, to make sure that they satisfy Wall Street's expectations with the medical loss ratio.

To Patrick
Well, Patrick, what can we do. As you put the matter so well on June 19, "The debackle of moral intigerty have been given up in the name of mercy and grace."

John, you embarrass me.
You've taken the predictable path of blame, misinformation and given nothing.

You don't have a plan, it's the same old same old. It's useless.

What a plan entails is sound economist analysis, coupled with serious debate within the Congressional chambers, to hash out a better way to manage what we have.

You act like the innocent bystander, as you've called out to warn of impending danger, and all the while you're really hoping to see a crash.

You're veil of partisan politics, hacking away at the Democrats, and obstructing progress are in evidence here at home and to the country. I'm tired of you John, why don't you retire?

I'll hire you for a shovel ready job. Why don't you come on over and apply? Maybe you can show that you've a grasp of how to dig, as you clearly have no grasp of how a stimulus works.

Just to provide more coverage...
The most efficient solution would be to expand Medicaid to include those without coverage, even though millions already qualify for it yet haven't applied. It's obvious that our politicians couldn't care less about the "uninsured" nor about improving the quality of health care. While they pander for more votes and power, American Medicine is rapidly transforming into another two-tiered, European-like, mediocre industry.

KISS YOUR NURSE GOODBYE
When government controls all aspects of health care, institutions, facilities, professional and non-professional staff and patients, not only will care be rationed or denied, but,
unless Nurses, Registered and Practical, unionize Nationwide, patients can kiss their Nurses goodbye and say hello to unqualified less costly technicians.
In a hospital, who spends the most time monitoring patients and who do Doctors depend on 24/7? NURSES, that's who.
If Nurses don't unionize, we can always advertise our service to be with patients when they are in the hospital or go for out-patient procedures. And Heaven help patients in the future who will not have the expertise of professional Nurses overseeing their care.

"Shovel Ready Healthcare"

That was pretty damn good!

Oh it get worse than that. Once Obama gets your health information on-line. Employers and Insurance companies will be able to see if your parents were treated for a heart attack, stroke, diabeties, colesteral, High Blood Pressure etc. etc.

Any reason to claim you are a greater risk and charge you more.

Liberals support Obamacare. Liberals are not rational people.

Republican suggestions
The main problem with America's healthcare system is this: 10-20% of Americans consume 80-90% of the healthcare resources. Private, for-profit health insurance plans seek any and all ways, legal and semi-legal, to exclude those 10-20% from their plans. Those individuals wind up (depending on age) on Medicaid, Medicare, or charity care. The costs of Medicaid, Medicare, or charity care is shifted to the insured population via higher costs for healthcare services. The Republican suggestions in the article would allow private for-profit health insurance plans to (1) design plans that exclude treatments that the 10-20% of Americans require to stay alive; and, (2) charge the 10-20% of Americans a price that far exceeds their ability to pay.

Any healthcare reform to be successful must: (1) require a mandated level of health services and products (no more excluding insulin or chemotherapy from the formulary!) (2) require universal issue (no more telling the diabetic "there is no plan available to sell to you"!) and (3) community rating (no more telling the stroke survivor "I'll sell you a bare-bones plan for $50,000/year with a $10,000/year deductible; but I'll sell the healthy young man a plan for $3,500/year).

Otherwise, the healthcare system will just get worse.

Shovel Ready Healthcare

Get ready to be buried 6 feet under because once your over age 60, no hip and knee replacements, no bypasses, no MRI's, no treatment for anything costing more than 10,000.

We do know Liberals are in favor of aborting life at the earliest stages, now we find out they are in favor of aborting life at the latter stages.

Downgrade from your double-platinum cable package to the silver one. You'll only have 529 channels to choose from, but it'll save you money.

Biggie-size your meal just every other time you hit the drive-thru.

Buy your beer by the case in the grocery or package store, instead of by the six-pack at the convenience store everyday.

You don't have to go to EVERY theme and amusement park within a hundred miles during the summer.

Rent your arm-load of DVD's from Blockbuster every other weekend.

Go pick up your pizzas instead of having them delivered.

Un-subscribe to your porn sites. There's enough free stuff out there for you to get by on.

Sell your Star Wars collection on EBay.

Stay out of PetSmart. Your dog will still love you.

Go on the Internet and get coupons for your Dunkin Donuts.

Save your money, those new rims for your car look like crap anyway.

Your child may not need EVERY piece of authentic gear for his favorite sports team. Maybe you don't either.

Buy your fish, it'll save you a lot of money in beer by trying to catch them with your buddies.

Buy your exercise equipment at yard sales. You can get like-new stuff for 20% of what you pay for it in the store. Maybe even 10%. And it will already be assembled. It will still be like-new when YOU sell it and you can get your money back.

Don't buy Harry Potter books -- check them out from the library.

Just stay out of convenience stores period.

Stop buying the NASCAR T-Shirts. From any more than six inches away, they all look like a splattering of red, blue, green and yellow paint anyway.

Do you really NEED that Blackberry?

Get a part-time job at one of the many fast-food places that are begging for help. You'll make some extra money and save on your beer budget as well.

Those are just a few of the many things that we struggling Americans can modify to help us bear the heavy cross of paying for our own health care.

GOVERNMENT REFORM
THE HEALTH OF THE NATION WOULD IMPROVE IF THERE WAS NO TAX EXEMPTIONS. THE SECOND STEP SHOULD BE ELIMINATING THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERENCE AND THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. THIS TWO DEPARTMENTS ARE FILED WITH CAREER CIVIL SERVANTS THAT ACCOMPLISH REPETITIVE JOBS OF THEIR STATE COUNTERPARTS. ALLOW THE STATES TO CONTROL THEIR OWN EDUCATION SYSTEMS, IT TAKES COURT ACTION ALREADY FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO TAKE CONTROL OF AN EDUCATION SYSTEM. IT IS THE STATE THAT ISSUE LICENSES TO OPERATE AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION AND REGULATE IT ALSO.

Information of voters
INFORMATIVE VOTERS IS THE WORST CASE FOR CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRATS. THEY BLOCK MESSAGES OF HOPE FROM BEING SPREAD TO CITIZENS TO SHOW THEIR ARROGANCE AND SUPREMECY. FROM PRESIDENT OBAMA TO TEXAS CONGRESSION WOMAN SHELIA JACKSON-LEE, WHOM SPOKE FOR A WHILE AT THE MEMORIAL OF A NATIVE OF INDIANA AND CITIZEN OF CALIFORNIA WHOM NEVER RESIDED IN TEXAS BUT WAS A KNEW PEDOPHILE. UNEMPLOYMENT, MORTAGE FORECLOSURES, AND OTHER PROBLEMS IN HER DISTRICT HAVE LONG BEEN IGNORED BY HER HONOR, CONGRESSWOMAN JACKSON-LEE. SHE SPENDS HER ENERGIES ON THE AGENDAS OF THE ILLEGAL ALIENS AND THE GAY COALITION.
