Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

The facts ought to be telling the Broward County lefties that they are putting politics ahead of the public interest.

Any serious law professor will also tell the Broward County bigs that what they have done is a blatantly unconstitutional punishment of speech. To bestow a benefit or inflict a punishment on the basis of the political perspective of the citizens involved is outrageous and will be condemned by any serious student of the First Amendment, as liberal Duke University Law School Professor Erwin Chemerinsky blasted the Broward County decision on my show on Wednesday.

What’s next: Instructing the Broward County Fire Department to refuse calls from homes with Romney or Giuliani signs in the yard?

This absurd action from Broward County Democrats is a sign of desperation on the left. Air America has failed. The MSM is bleeding readers and viewers. Tony Blair has produced a scathing indictment of how the left-wing elite media operates. Fox News is thriving. Townhall.com is surging. The blogs of the center-right –from Instapundit, Powerline, and Michelle Malkin through the young college student who just fired up their new site yesterday—are growing and not just in visitors but also in the ability to persuade and not merely enrage. The new media world favors facts and well-made arguments, and the center-right has those, in abundance.

Which means the palsied arguments of the left are going to lose. Which means the left is going to try and stop the discussion, try and censor the debate, try and clamp down on speech.

Broward County is the future. I don’t think the people of Florida or the county will endorse this most un-American decision to silence the speech of the opposition.

Nixon not in Bush's or Reagan's league
Nixon was the last true talented Republican meritocrat ... he was hands on and earned his position through his own grit and determination. people definitely forget that Kennedy with an acquiescent press stole the election from him ... even with his landslide victory this same press stole his last four years from him.

I'd argue that Kennedy's thievery of the presidency was infinitely worse than the small-time hijinx of Nixon's band of merry men ... what was condoned behavior in the administrations of Kennedy and Johnson was treated as high crimes and misdemeanors in Nixon's.

while Reagan was a good delegator of talent with good political instincts and communication skills he wasn't all that familiar with geopolitics himself.

Bush is even worse ... he just doesn't care and has delegated his administration to big spending neo-cons and globalists with none of Reagan's populist touch. he also panders shamelessly to evangelicals on small potatoes things like abortion and Terry Schiavo while otherwise treating them with disdain too.

Why does Hugh Love Richard Nixon?
Would like to mention to the legion of HH fans. His stewardship of the Richard Nixon Library has been jackhammered out of existence. See the recent news stories, google "hewitt nixon library". Seems he guided the early formation of the library and created an entire fiction about some conspiracy that tried to take down Nixon. This, despite the smoking gun dialog that proved he covered up a political burglary of his enemies. Why would Hewitt allow a distortion of facts? It doesn't fit his idolatry of failed conservative leadership. You're seeing the same character flaw in this defense of the failed Bush administration. I hope he can find a true conservative that won't betray his blind faith. Someday there might be a conservative who doesn't have to cheat, lie or mislead common Americans with Victor David Hanson's talents to succeed. Until then, let Americans who play by the rules lead us to progress, not the abject failure of the Nixon, Reagan and Bush administrations.
