Will Congress pass Obamacare by the end of the year?

The Chicken Littles in the Democratic Party, liberal media outlets and liberal political action groups are attempting to convince voters that the sky is falling on America’s economy, our national security and Republican candidates at the national and state levels. Indeed, many Republican candidates have encouraged the liberals’ river of rhetoric by failing to lead on replacing the income tax code, restructuring Social Security, cutting federal spending and securing our borders. But the lack of Republican leadership has emboldened liberals to spin what in reality are a few acorns into a natural disaster. The real disaster will occur if we allow them to succeed.

Liberals’ latest attempt at the politics of destruction, distraction and deception is to claim that our national security is threatened because North Korea’s pipsqueak potentate Kim Jong-Il managed to test a nuclear device, and that we only encourage future Islamic terrorist attacks by killing Islamic terrorists. The ankle-biting liberal spin machine even resurrected their favorite tattered yarn that the economy is failing all but the wealthiest Americans. As usual, the facts are the first casualty in the liberals’ war to regain control of Congress.

When North Korea tested a nuclear device on October 9, the Bush administration was quick to condemn the test and moved swiftly to pursue United Nations sanctions. The diplomatic leadership of President Bush, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and U.N. Ambassador John Bolton produced economic and military sanctions that were unanimously approved by the U.N. Security Council. Kim Jong-Il later apologized, saying he “is sorry about the nuclear test” and conditionally agreed to participate in future bilateral or six-party talks regarding nuclear proliferation.

Whereas the grownups in the Republican Party understand how to deal with terrorists, liberals prove time and again they have no clue how to deal with the constant threat of terrorist attacks. On June 21, Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) discussed the war on terrorism in a speech on the Senate floor saying, “There are no easy answers as to how we solve the problems created by this administration. There are no easy answers as to how we work to enable the Iraqis to hold their country together and to keep it from becoming a terrorist refuge and launching pad.”

In other words, Sen. Clinton and her party of appeasers have no idea how to prosecute a war against Islamic terrorists or properly respond to madmen seeking nuclear weapons. There are, in fact, easy answers to fighting terrorists. You start by killing all the terrorists. You don’t arrest them, prosecute them and pay for their lifetime imprisonment in American jails. You kill them. That’s the only language the terrorists understand.

No campaign season would be complete without liberal attacks on positive news about the U.S. economy. Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said in an October 16 interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, “The reason the economy doesn’t work for the president is only his friends have benefited from the increased earnings, the corporate earnings, and so forth.” To the liberals, when facts get in the way of rhetoric, they ignore the facts.

How bad is the economy? The national unemployment rate is 4.6 percent, the lowest since 2001. Gross Domestic Product has grown for 19 consecutive quarters. The economy has created 1.7 million new jobs in the past year and 6.6 million new jobs since August 2003. The federal budget deficit continues to drop due to record corporate tax receipts. The Dow Jones Industrial Average recently passed 12,000 for the first time in history. America’s purchasing power is increasing due to President Bush’s 2003 tax cuts and plummeting retail gas prices. Nearly every major economic metric grew in 2006. The liberal rhetoric about the economy doesn’t even approach the realm of “reasonable people can disagree.” It is a flat-out lie.

It’s fun to say that the Democrats offer us no solutions on any of the major domestic or foreign policy issues. The fact is, they have plenty of solutions, and their solutions are exactly what you should expect from liberals – more government control over your wallet and your life, a less secure America that does not want to offend Islamic terrorists and a permanent erosion of our individual freedoms and liberties.

Democratic control of Congress is not a viable, safe alternative to sluggish leadership and a few bad apples in the Republican Party. This election is about the future of our nation, and a fight we must soon have within the Republican Party.

The sky is not falling, but it will rain a tsunami of bad economic and foreign policy if we give Democrats control of Congress.

I agree on closing the border.
Do you think Democrats would do that?
"One World Society" sort of stuff?

It IS POSSIBLE to undo the harm done and remove the need to close the borders by placing America on full war footing.
Food and gas rationing would force illegals to register or starve or get out of America before they get hungry.

The economic sky isn't falling...yet.
The Dow Industrials at 12,000 is nothing to celebrate. Adjusted for inflation, the Industrials are about 15% lower than they were 6 or 7 years ago.

Worse yet, the high in the Industrials is not confirmed by a corresponding high in the Dow Transports, a bearish portent.

The S&P 500 and the NASDAQ are well below their 2000 highs, even unadjusted for inflation.

What we have had over the past many years is a staggering explosion in credit, much of it fostered by the vaunted Greenspan Fed. When the credit bubble bursts--and you can see it in the housing bubble now--things will get mighty painful.

Believing in an endless expansion of credit without the corresponding bust is like believing you can avoid a hangover by staying drunk. One day soon the nostrum of easy credit will no longer work.
