Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

WASHINGTON -- Because John McCain and other legislators worry that they are easily corrupted, there are legal limits to the monetary contributions that anyone can make to political candidates. There are, however, no limits to the rhetorical contributions that the Rev. Jeremiah Wright can make to McCain's campaign.

Because Wright is a gift determined to keep on giving, this question arises: Can persons opposed to Barack Obama's candidacy justly make use of Wright's invariably interesting interventions in the campaign? The answer is: Certainly, because Wright's paranoias tell us something -- exactly what remains to be explored -- about his 20-year parishioner.

In Monday's speech at the National Press Club, Wright repeated -- decorously, by his standards, but clearly -- his accusation, made the Sunday after 9/11, that America got what it deserved. His Monday answer to a question about that accusation was: "Whatsoever you sow, that you also shall reap" and "you cannot do terrorism on other people and expect them never to come back on you."

As evidence that "our government is capable of doing anything," he strongly hinted that he has intellectually respectable corroboration -- he mentioned several publications -- for his original charge that the U.S. government is guilty of "inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color." But on Monday he insisted that he is not anti-American: It is, he said, Americans' government, not the American public, that is a genocidal perpetrator of terrorism. So, he now denies that America has a representative government -- that it represents the public. He believes that elections constantly and mysteriously -- and against the public's will -- produce a genocidal, terroristic government.

On Monday, Wright also espoused the racialist doctrine that blacks have "different" learning styles than do others. This doctrine of racially different brains, or of an unalterably different black culture, is a doctrine today used to justify various soft bigotries of low expectations regarding blacks, and especially black children. It has a long pedigree as a rationalization for injustices. Slaveholders and, later, segregationists loved it.

Obama should be questioned about whether he agrees about "different" learning styles. It is, however, predictable that journalistic and political choruses will attempt to suppress such questioning by suggesting that it is somehow illegitimate. The "daisy ad" and "Willie Horton" will be darkly mentioned.

There have been two television ads in presidential campaigns concerning which there is a settled consensus of deep disapproval. In both cases, the consensus about these acts of supposed mischief is mistaken.

The first ad was used in 1964 by Lyndon Johnson against Barry Goldwater: A small girl plucked petals from a daisy as a voice counted down to a nuclear explosion. The ad, reflecting Johnson's fear that his large lead would cause complacency among his supporters, concluded with a voice saying: "The stakes are too high for you to stay home."

Goldwater and many of his supporters were incensed. But Goldwater had said several things suggestive of a somewhat cavalier attitude about the use of force, including nuclear weapons. He had made his judgment a legitimate issue.

In the spring of 1988, in a debate among candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination, Tennessee Sen. Al Gore used the matter of Willie Horton against Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis, one of Gore's rivals. Horton had been in a Massachusetts prison serving a life sentence for the murder of a boy Horton stabbed 19 times during a robbery. Horton was frequently released on weekend furloughs. Finally, he fled, kidnapped a couple, stabbed the man and repeatedly raped the woman. Because the ad, made by supporters of Vice President George Bush, included a photo of Horton, critics called it racist. But supporters of Bush argued that the Horton episode was emblematic of Massachusetts' political culture, or of a liberal mentality, pertinent to assessing Dukakis.

When North Carolina Republicans recently ran an ad featuring Wright in full cry, McCain mounted his high horse, from which he rarely dismounts, and demanded that the ad be withdrawn. The North Carolinians properly refused. Wright is relevant.

He is a demagogue with whom Obama has had a voluntary 20-year relationship that implies, if not moral approval, certainly no serious disapproval. Wright also is an ongoing fountain of anti-American and, properly understood, anti-black rubbish. His Monday speech demonstrated that he wants to be a central figure in this presidential campaign. He should be.

Hip Hip Hooray
for the Reverend Wright. Ditto your last sentence.

Good dissection of the liberal fallacies inherent in his statements and clarifications. A master race hustler's dissemblings don't look so pretty under the harsh lights. Keep em blaring George.

McCain on his high horse
Great comment about McCain mounting his high horse, "from which he rarely dismounts". (LOL)

Excellent summation of Rev. Wright being an issue in the campaign. And how out of touch is McCain for not using it? He called the North Carolinians something like 'not in touch with reality' for running the ad. Yeah, right. Should this be something I use to judge the fitness of McCain to be president?

I actually saw the head of the RNC (don't even know his name - how sad is that?) on the Glenn Beck show the other night defending Sen. McCain's request that the NC ad be pulled. He looked clownish in his attempt to spin that the RNC wanted the ad removed. In his 'charming' way, Glenn Beck told him he looked foolish and didn't really believe what he was saying. The RNC dude then tried to say they weren't supposed to be discussing this topic, but Beck would have none of that. He told the guy they were definitely going to discuss Rev. Wright whether he wanted to or not.

My question is why would the RNC dude not want to talk about that issue? What are they afraid of? Being called racist? John McCain could have his entire campaign staffed with male and female African-Americans and he would still be labeled a racist. Wake up RNC and McCain. Remove the rock from the top of your heads so you can see the world as it really is.

As usual, very well said George.
What really bothers is both Obama and wife have been soaking this diatribe up for years. Then Michelle comes up with not being proud of America. Then there is the flag incident of the lapel and the saluting without hand over heart. Why would a soldier wish to follow his Commander and Chief to the death with a man he likens to his Grandmother who says, "God Damn America" Well just maybe God does not feel like damning America. Maybe he gave this evil man his bully pulpit so he could espouse his un-American, un-Godly verbosity and bring down the man who foolishly stood by him. Wright has no shame, just a burning desire for fame. To hell with Obama. Now what does that tell you about the judgement of a man who wants to hold the football?

Obama & Wright ‘hoodwink’ blacks

Mr. Will:

Have you noticed the similarity of Rev. Wright’s remarks about an attack on him is an attack on the black church, and Obama’s “Okey-Doke” comments?

Rather than lead, each of these two African-Americans has chosen to pull down their own people. This to justify their own self interests.

Obama used the “Okey-Doke” comment in the South to gain credibility with the descendents of slaves. Obama said, “You know the ol’ Okey-Doke?” which ended up rather mocking the style of blacks acting agreeably even when they didn’t feel like it. Obama tried to rile up people whose grandparents and ancestors made it through successfully with dignity. Does Obama really think he has done a service to these people? It sounds to me like he’s sitting next to those folks and nudging them, being overly familiar with them. After all, he doesn’t have the same background of slavery.

And Obama used the “hoodwink” remark as “They’re trying to hoodwink you” to black voters in Mississippi. Not “They’re trying to hoodwink me.”

I’ve been to five black churches, one of which I joined. None of them had pastors who preached anything near what Rev. Wright has preached.

Rev. Wright is a loose cannon, and is undoing the respect and recognition that African-Americans gained with movies like “Glory.”

The Obamas make the clintons look like
real americans, how sad of a state is that !
when clintons look like anything shy of impeached , lying , willing to say anything but the truth and actually looking like a better choice man that says how bad barack is looking these days. Im loving it , the wine sipping folks in napa and east coast are going to get their man as the nominee. I couldnt think of anything better well that is if we actually had a nominee with some sack that would help.

I honestly believe if Mccain wasnt running this year he would be supporting Barack himself. He would be on the ole stump calling himself the maverick of the GOP. I cant stand Mccain and his policies that are true to his heart. Raising gas taxes , closing the cuban tennis and health club for extremist bringing them here so there aclu lawyers can fight for them to have american rights. If you notice a trend about mccain is he is clear that he wishes everyone from mexico and extremist to have american rights. However americans wishing to have free speech and to back who they wish well no , not us actual americans he gives us limits on free speech . Some one else said he cant wait for the GOP to collapse , Man from your lips to God's ears. I saw the same beck interview and beck was honestly shocked on how much the head of the GOP actually was being serious about pulling the ad. However remember when mccain was thinking of running with Kerry he was steamed about the swiftboat ads so as all these weak conservatives keep talking up mccain just remember we all have great memories and your traitor views will never be forgotten. so keep it up you weak conservatives.

Heres to not drinking the kool aid , if we do were no better then the demon-crats that have no soul whatsoever .

Oh P.s
One of the perks about seeing how horrible of a nominee mccain is . Is the fact that he simply can not raise money. He is running to that public funds so quick its silly. That should be a pretty easy sign for him that for the first time in a long time I promise he will lack volunteers , door knocking ladies , bake sales , people making calls and having house get togethers on how to get out the vote this year and yes he will not get conservatives money. he already knows this. he is counting on the new weak GOP to take all those mild , barely warm independents to garner up the support and trying to get them to do the core things that have to be done to get out the vote.

It wont happen. The gop will literally have to hire where in the last 30 years they have had yellow page sized lists of those willing to do their share for the common good.

why would you ever donate , or give anything to a guy who if hes in front of the camera will slam everything you hold dear and true. Mccain would switch on you and your core values you quicker then hillary diving from sniper fire.

watch as all that I say comes true. Mccain will run a campain with no solid base at all. It will take obama losing not mccain winning

Peter O

It's win-win for Wright
Regardless of whether Obama wins, Wright comes out a winner.

If Obama loses, then the Grievance Industry receives a fresh shot in the arm and now has a new face at the head of it. Two years ago, nobody knew Rev. Wright. Now, he is packing them in and dancing a jig at the National Press Club. Farrakhan, Jackson and Sharpton are not getting any younger, and Wright is set to take over as Head Capo of the racial shakedown rackets.

Of course, if Obama wins, then Wright will assume a powerful position of influence behind, or maybe even beside, the throne. And who knows? With a little more luck, maybe he can still continue to get his percentage from the rackets as well.

What does it have to do with Obama
Why stop with Reverend Wright. Why not follow William Ayers around and tape everything he says and connect Obama to that also. You see where we can go with this. It can get pretty ridiculous. You don't have to be for or against Obama to know something stinks here. This guilty by association is getting out of hand. It's not about asking the hard questions. It's not about not knowing anything about Obama. It's solely about getting Hillary the nomination. The whole purpose of these attacks is to remove the glow from Obama and give it to Hillary. Don't blame Obama because Hillary never had any glow of her own. Not even Penn could "humanize" her. Why not foucs on the words Reverend Wright told Obama about if he gets the nomination and then if he happens to get the Presidency. Reverend Wright told Obama he will come after Obama in the same way, because Obama would be part of the problem with this country. No one wants to point these comments out do they. Reverend Wright is not running against Hillary. Obama is. Linking Obama to Reverend Wright on everything he says is really reaching. It's true, McCain is pretty comfortable as long as the race goes on between Obama and Hillary. The only thing McCain has to worry about are the Conservatives. How will they support McCain if Hillary gets the nomination. The bases of the attacks on Obama by the Conservatives is to get Hillary the nomination. How will the Conservatives attack Hillary if she gets the nomination and has to face Mccain. If the Conservatives couldn't find anything to attack Hillary on now, how will they find anything to attack her on if she wins the nomination. Will the Conservatives ride it to the end with Hillary if she faces McCain. This is what McCain has to worry about from these two face Conservatives

As usual, a great analysis.
Wright and Obama are both self-serving and, it appears, ignorant users of other people. Wright is using Obama to advance his own image. Wright should have heeded his mother's warning: but he opened his mouth and proved that people were right - he's a fool. Obama is using Wright for street cred and was willing to sit in that "church" for 20 years to get what he wanted: a Rezko mansion, friendship with Ayers and Dohrn, blackitude "typical white person" bigoted "tude, arrogant and discriminatory stupidity about "bitter" white Americans who "cling" (BO tried to twist that into some kind of Biblical voodoo connection) to guns and God.
Obama's pathetically naive, deplorably stupid in his judgment, inadequate in his experience, contemptible in his elitism, lamentable in his hollowness, puerile in his empty rhetoric, harrowing in his dissembling, and basically Clintonian in his equivocation. Wright's wagging Obama's tail and Obama deserves it. Both are despicable in their anti-American contempt. He's one wretched ex-Marine and Obama's one hapless naked swimmer.

Number44
"The Republican party needs to collapse, and fast, so we can rebuild it in all its conservative glory."

You are absolutely right about this!!

What was he thinking?
I can't help but wonder how Obama thought he could get away with supporting a man like Rev. Wright for 20 years and then running for office under the guise of 'change' and 'bringing people in the US together.' Did he think no one would notice that he has spent his life associating with people like Wright and Ayers?

It is such arrogance and an insult to all Americans who are genuinely looking for someone who is devoted to 'change' and harmony among all who love this country.

Obama doesn't even come close.

Ditto Pete
Pete commented: "watch as all that I say comes true. Mccain will run a campain with no solid base at all." McLame, in fact, has no solid base, he is a maverick that joins with people like Kennedy and Feingold to get his name in the news. If he couldn't understand what the Kennedy and Feingold thing was all about, he has a very weak mind and I do not trust him. You think he will stay on the side of no amnesty and build the wall? Has he mentioned anything about reducing government? McLame is a member of the CFR.

leftist hypocricy, opus 9,372,169.
Nobody has commented yet on the remarkable similarity between the Reverend Wright's position regarding 9/11 ("America deserved it") and the Reverend Jerry Falwell's position ("America deserved it.")

The same people who leapt immediately on Falwell, decrying his utter depravity, denouncing his lack of humanity, spluttering about the distortion of his faith -- the very IDEA that God would punish ANYBODY is simply unchristian! -- are strangely silent about the Rev. Wright saying precisely the same thing.

Why?

Because they actually agree with him. They think God, if He exists, must have punished America for its racism.

This means, of course, that they were lying through their vicious, deceitful, hell-inspired teeth when they were denouncing Rev Falwell. That's why it'll take them a few days to ramp up to announcing their agreement with Wright. They know perfectly well that they're about to contradict themselves absolutely. They have to come up with a brief sound bite that will excuse the obvious intellectual dishonesty. We'll hear it in a few days.

It's easy to be a Democrat. All you have to do is wait for your talking points from Hell.

A joke about Hillary Clinton
Maverick made a funny joke a moment ago:

"How will the Conservatives attack Hillary if she gets the nomination and has to face Mccain.(sic) If the Conservatives couldn't find anything to attack Hillary on now, how will they find anything to attack her on if she wins the nomination."

This is a joke, right?

Hillary Clinton is a criminal. She should be in jail. If she steals the nomination (which is becoming more likely by the day) you should expect to hear, repeatedly, all the reasons why.

Oh, and let's not forget the anger issue. Here, have a little taste of what you'll be hearing in the fall if Hillary is the nominee:

http://www.plumbbobblog.com/?p=321

Enjoy.

not not quite yet....
the wrath of "GOD" has just begun. Just look to all the whites having to run to their roof top for security. Just look to the FLDS being revealed right in the midst of smearing Rev. Wright, Pastor Hagee also made statements in reference to 9/11, but let's just stay focused on Rev. Wright. More will be revealed, and White Americans will understand what it means to "FEAR GOD", right now they fear nothing but fear itself.

Obama is the Racist
Obama is making race an issue, even when it was the white voters who helped make him a candidate. He is now playing his true cards and makes everone who voted for him ashamed they ever went to his side of the corner. Obama is a Democrat and he fails to point out to the Aferican American that it was the Democrats who voted AGAINST freeing slaves and has kept the black community from rising out of proverty. If they can keep them down, the Democrats have more control over them. Why do you suppose the Democrats want so many illegals staying in America, could it be because so many black Americans have wised up and are now Republicans or Independents? So now they must turn to illigal allians to follow them??? Our economy is off because of the Democrats control of Congress and they keep voting for more PORK, which takes money away that can be spent on REAL issues that face America. McCain is right, we need to stop the Pork spending that does not benefit ALL Americans only the RICH and POWERFUL.

A vote for a Democrat is a vote to further pull America into a socialized country like IRAN. Keep it up and we will all be slaves to our Government, we are almost there now with most of our hard earned money going for taxes that go into wasteful spending.

America, THINK about what you say and do, be careful what you wish for, don't be ashamed to fight for freedom, America's future is at steak.
Joy of Iowa

what...
if Senator Obama is making Senator Clinton look good then she has always looked that way to you. You just needed a push. This is of "GOD" trust and believe, this needed to happen because you people have always based everything in America on Race so why would a Black man in America running for the highest office in the land not have race be the most important factor in this Presidential Race. No matter if Senator Clinton is on trial right in California. Why use a tape from years ago to make it relevant now. The journalistic community is doing just exactly what they wanted to allow race to overtake the campaign. Each and every day we had to listen to "wonder if white people will vote for him." "wonder if the little White Women will vote for him" All these polls questions have been race related even before Rev. Wright was revealed. That was the foundation to bring Rev. Wright to the forefront. Get real. Racism has always been the foundation of America. The journalist are not honest, if they were we would have vetted George Bush and realized that his grandfather was involved in a coup to overthrow the American Government, but nothing is ever said about that, yet President Bush told us he was the "DECIDER" and you laughed.
Racism is American as apple pie.
HYPOCRITES!!!

Wright and Obama
If Obama didn't see what was going on at his church for the 20 years he attended, it was because he wasn't paying attention. If he wasn't paying attention, why was he going?

It's obvious to me that Wright is now out to sabotage Obama for having the temerity to disagree with him. And Obama, he's being hoisted on his own petard.

Judging character
Edmund Burke quote: "We judge a man's character not merely by what emanates from him, but also by what he puts up with from others. " Obama should be judged by his close associations, and they are with radical, 1960's and '70's deranged radicals. How destructive and divisive it is to be dragged back into the chaos of those decades, with riots in the streets, bombings, kidnappings, spitting on returning soldiers, and thuggery masquerading as political thought! Thanks, Obama!

Boutte
You would be singing a different tune if McCain had a KKK Grand Poobah over regularly for dinner, golf, or invited him to appear as a guest at his fundraising meetings.

Besides, the MSM refuses to discuss in any depth Obama's stance on late term abortions, domestic spending, foreign policy, defence issues, or global warming mitigation initiatives. Obama surely won't go into depth on any of these issues.

Finally Wright...
...has uttered a comment I can agree with. The government of the U.S. is not representative of America. (Will's paraphrase.) Our "representatives" may have been democratically elected, but then this is not a democracy.

America is conceived as a nation of laws. America was never intended to be ruled by popular whim. As the electorate has expanded, our governing bodies have become more representative of the ignorant masses than of the American ideal.

The 17th Amendment to the Constitution also served to undermine our form of representative government. Without representation in the nations capital the states are effectively neutered, and cannot protect their citizens from overbearing federal bureaucrats.

There are of course other factors, but Wright's statement is essentially true. We have lost control or our representatives and our nation.

Far Left's New Hero
Just as I thought. If you take note, the far left has taken the Rev. Wright to its bosom. He is their new hero. The Rev. Wright is a pretty bright guy and a real opportunist. He knows the character of the far left and much of the black victimhood community. He has been given his one great opportunity and is riding it all the way to his 15 minutes of fame, as well as to the bank.

He is hitting every "hot button" of the far left, just watch his speeches. Between his "black church" sermonmizing he pushes every button of the far left agenda.

Boutte
writes, "Not "six degrees of association" smears about Obama."

Do you know something the rest of us don't? Was it really Obama's sister's nephew's cousin's best friend's friend's brother that belonged to that church and Obama is being smeared by his sixth degree of association? That was the dude that sat in that church and contributed money for twenty years? If you can prove this, then I will gladly stop associating Obama with his pastor.

Fruit of Islam?
Was the gentleman with the threatening appearance standing behind Reverend Wright at the Press Club a member of the "Fruit of Islam"?

Obama and Wright
Obama had Mentor Wright pray with him in his basement when announcing his candidacy - like a kid hiding his playboy from mom.

Obama and Wright
Obama shouldn't be judged by his association with Mentor Wright.

Obama and his worthiness to be POTUS should be judged by the fact that he chose Mentor Wright to teach, tutor and guide him.

Obama and his worthiness to be POTUS should be judged by the fact that he chose Mentor Wright to baptize his children.

Obama and his worthiness to be POTUS should be judged by the fact that he chose Mentor Wright to preside over his covenant of marriage with Michelle.

Obama and his worthiness to be POTUS should be judged by the fact that he chose Mentor Wright
to guide his spiritual life.

Obama is not associated with Mentor Wright he picked Mentor Wright with his own free will to guide, direct, mentor, teach and tutor him, this is not an association this is a covenant.

I gave at the Civil War
and some of these comments meant to cow the majority of Ams. falls flat.

Two great grandfathers fought in the Civil War; both were volunteers from 1961 to 1864, and the great great uncles are too numerous to mention, altho' one died at the Battle of Mursfreeboro in TN in 1962 with an IL militia he had volunteered for, just after becoming an Am. citizen.

My family were poor whites and never owned slaves or practiced sharecropping, the Dem. South's answer to slavery that was illegal. No one I voted for filibustered the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts of 1964--those were Southern Dems.

I was jailed in Annapolis in 1961 on a freedom ride and have never discriminated against anyone in my life, but I am not going to be "guilted" into accepting Obama and his half-cracked crazy friends and associates because he has a Kenyan father.

Had liberals never conceived of the welfare society, the drug culture, the sexual revolution, and the disintegration of the public school system, blacks and everyone else in the US would be better for it.

No cons. or Rep. forced project housing on poor minorities or turned them into crime and drug h*ll holes. Those were liberal-Dem. ideas and practices.

The sooner the black community realizes what evils the socialist left have perpetuated on them the sooner some dialogue can begin. Liberals can't have a dialogue on race because they use it as a crutch. If black people are victimized or their families destroyed, that's ok as long as they vote Dems.

And, to quote the Rev. Wright, if the chickens come home to roost, first they flock together as birds of a feather, and Obama has flocked with Wright, Weeks, Ayers, Dohrn, Rezko, and the entire corrupt Chicago machine. They are all unworthy of consideration for the pres. of the US.

Wright Controls Obama?
It is very difficult to understand why Obama has not completely distanced himself from Reverend Wright, given the obvious political problems presented. The idea that personal loyalty is involved is hardly credible for a politician. Perhaps Wright knows secrets about Obama that give him control over our would-be President?

InsightingTruth
"Without representation in the nations capital the states are effectively neutered, and cannot protect their citizens from overbearing federal bureaucrats."

While I certainly agree that we don't have a representative government (well maybe with the exception of Californians), there's nothing stopping Americans except their ignorant selves. Our Congress, overrun with liberals and RINOs, have been put their by the sheeple and the sheeple can send them home anytime they want.

Congressmen are in the business of re-election 24/7. They're mortgaging our grandchildren in order to keep their jobs and power. The good of the country doesn't even enter their thought processes. Our Constitution is the only thing that has stopped liberals from destroying this country. If Congress was controlled by conservatives (excluding RINOs) like Duncan Hunter for example, we would have no problems with the Federal Government and it would be half its size. But, for some reason, the sheeple continue to send liberals to Congress.

So, I guess that I agree, and at the same time disagree, with the statement about representative government.

Non-existent Horton Ad
Please don't perpetuate the myth about the so-called "Willie Horton ad". As I remember it, there was an ad with several actors portraying prisoners (all skin colors) who were passing through a turnstile. It sought to illustrate / criticize the furlough program in Massachusetts by stating that convicted felons had committed additional felonies while on furlough. I don't think it either showed or mentioned Willie Horton.

If there was an ad that really mattered in Dukakis' loss, it was the one showing actual footage of him riding around in a tank and looking like a moron.

number44 writes:
What's with Republicans pulling ads?
First McCain goes along with pulling the Rev. Wright ad, now the RNC is demanding that an anti-McCain ad be pulled in Florida.

God forbid the candidates exercise free speech and leave it up to the people and the press to decide whether or not the claims are bogus.

The Republican party needs to collapse, and fast, so we can rebuild it in all its conservative glory.

McCain is the guy who rammed campaign finance reform down our throats which in effect made it easier for 329s or whatever to pull the strings of the political parties. While itend to hold my nose and vote for McCain it is because I see him as the lesser of two evils. He and the Republican party won't get a dime from men nor will I display a sign or bumper sticker.

About Learning
If African-Americans have a different learning habit than everyone else, what does that say about Sen. Barack Obama attending an Ivy League school? Or his wife's attendence at another prestigious school? That is how people like Wright undercut themselves and their followers. It casts doubt on the legtimacy of the Obamas' achievements. Did they get graded just like everyone else in their classes? Or was there a special grading curve applied due to their race? Now we have to wonder, thanks a lot Jeremiah Wright.

Wright’s NAACP speech-VR- church sermon
Rev. Wright’s NAACP speech-VERSUS- Rev. Wright‘s church sermons

Have you noticed that when Rev. Wright spoke at the Detroit NAACP meeting on 4/27/08, he played an entirely different role than the role he plays when he gives a sermon at his church?
· In front of the NAACP Wright wore an attractive brown suit, white shirt, and tie. At his church he wears some sort of African type costume.
· At the NAACP he stayed behind the podium and presented a primarily left-brain lecture on the topic, “Different does not mean deficient”. At his church he is frequently all over his stage acting like a wild, ranting, emotional, right-brain personality, pushing hate and anger towards whites, the US, Jews, and anyone that see the world differently than he does.
· At the NAACP meeting he asserted that children of European origin are primarily left-brain, cognitive, and object oriented, while children of African origin are primarily right-brain, creative, and subject oriented. If a conservative said the same thing, they would be accused of racial profiling, but Wright won’t be criticized for it. I wonder if Wright ever gave a similar lecture to his church congregation.

The sheeple are right here, all over these blogs, they intend to vote for McCain, the hand picked candidate of the MSM and the DNC.

proving what point?
it seems to me that a white person giving that talk about the "black brain" would have been accused of rasism. that performer, the hip hop boo bop of all time, i have never seen such arragance and such a lack of grace.if anyone ever sewed negative seeds he is doing that now. will his chickens come home? will there be a price for his trechery and disloyalty? i would like to know what produced him

Brother Boutte
You wrote "Um, er, oh! He's not Obama.". That's good enuff for me now that I understand the absolute lack of judgment Obama has shown for at least 20 Wright Years.

the oblahma's
these two point out everything wrong with those who buy into the victim mentality. Despite their elitist educations and their luxurient lifestyles they still act and sound embittered and believe they are somehow entitled to the presidentcy.

This notion of white liberal guilt over past sins is alive and well in the terchings and rantings of their mentor wright. The oblahma is somewhat more successful in covering up wright's racist teachings but the missus oblahma fully embraces them.

But in wright's world blacks have a legitimate reason to act embittered due to the past sins of slavery. But whites can never be excused for being white and are somehow linked to slavery and are thus guilty of continued racism.

But thanks to the race hustlers like sharpton and jackson and now joined by wright, they are showing the rest of the country that the victimhood is alive and well in the black community and that for the foreseeable future will never go away.

The real message that the race hustlers are sending is they believe that segregation is useful for their path to power. As long as they can maintain their separate identity they need never fully integrate into society no matter how many billions are wasted on entitlement programs. Black grievances can never be fully addressed nor will ever end.

Thank you for sending us this message rev. wrong

my 2 cents
The title says it all and we don't even have to wheel out the Republican hate machine and we can keep the vast right-wing conspiracy for when we REALLY need it.

Wildwest's gotta point:
"As long as they can maintain their separate identity they need never fully integrate into society no matter how many billions are wasted on entitlement programs. "

It makes one wonder which came first, the resistance to integrate and keep a separate identity, or the vast billions that are spent rewarding their resistance to integrate?

pardon my premonition
Only half-awake this morning I was given a strange premonition. (I hope I'm wrong.)

Neither Obambi nor his minister will be living in the houses they were preparing for. Obama because his bid for the presidency is about doomed.

His pastor will be occupying that little Cabin in the Sky before long. The mansion now under construction is going to have a different occupant after it's completed. (I meant hopefully I'm wrong on this point. The White House part of my premonition I wouldn't take back.)

It was over for me...
...long before I saw the Wright videos. But now I don't even have to be attentive to how McCain handles this campaign, any more than I have to re-examine his military career or his Senate votes. Because nothing the Dems do will move me an inch.
Still, I do enjoy the blood-letting on the left, punctuated by the diatribes of a sputtering racialist goon who pretends to be a man of 'the cloth.' It puts the seal of approval on what I have long known. So I can relax. Instead of debate, I can just point & laugh. Thanks to Rev Wright & the 'gift that keeps on giving!'

The left is like a GPS
that has to recaulate. This afternoon at a press conferance, Obama has denounced Wright and severed all ties. You lefties will now be relieved of defending the indefensible.

Now that Obama has ahem distanced
himself from the looney Rev Wright, perhaps he'll back up the bus and see if he can find the spot where he tossed his typical white old granny.

Come on people
Get a clue. This latest series of speeches and interviews Mr. Wright has given were designed expressly so Obama has "just cause" to publicly "severe all ties with" and "denounce" his 20 year friend, mentor and spiritual guide Mr.Wright.

Here is the thing. Mr. Wright is still spouting the EXACT same anti-white, anti-American crap he always has. But now all of a sudden Obama finds not just the words offensive but the speaker of them also. By looking at peoples comments here at TH and other places it appears there are very few people on either side of this discussion that have not fallen for this ruse. Truly sad.

Anyway, enjoy the grand illusion of this "Presidential election". The winner has been selected and it is not us.

former rep:
The winner of the Democrat nomination for office of POTUS.

Obama's candidacy has had its legs snipped off at the knees. Now what remains is for him to name his running mate on the ticket. After all the Dems have watched this horror story unfold, who is likely to accept his invitation? All it can mean is 18 hour workdays in the electioneering grind for a one-way ticket to Dukakisville. Whoever takes his chances running for VP is ending up a sap and a sucker.

If Obama were to be elected
It would shoot down a lot of Wright's whole identity of blacks still being downtrodden. I believe he will try to avoid having that happen.

Gift that Gives Obama a Bigger Lead
Since the Wright scandal began Obama has risen in the polls against McCain. Check out:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com

and go to the McCain-Obama matchup.

If McCain thinks that all he has to do is take advantage of the fact that his opponent has a loony racist for a wife, an even loonier racist for a pastor and a terrorist for a friend then maybe McCain ought to quit and let someone else run for the Republicans because it ain't working.

reconquista, SHAKN IT HERE BOSS
no, nc is not out of touch.
Juan McCain is out of touch. especially when he signed on to the senate bill for amnestia.

jm says that it is impossible to deport 10mill aliens (20mill?).

put 2 dozen employers on trial for hiring illegal aliens, put them in jail and fine them heavily, play the trials on tv and watch how fast millions of umemployable illegal aliens head south. simple? yes. doable? not with the democrats and republicans in charge.

RACE HUSTLER
the only thing different between
the reverend? al sharpton
the reverend? jessie jackson
the reverend? jeremiah wright

jeremiah wright actually had a congregation.

The real tragedy of this election
is that if McCain wins, he will look at it as a mandate.

Can anyone ever remember a more pitiful group of candidates?

Possibly my favorite quote evah!!!
(at least in this election)

"McCain mounted his high horse, from which he rarely dismounts" George Will

After all it takes a high-horseman to know one!

I will proudly state that
I support Mccain and the major reason is I spent almost half of my life in uniform and I recognize leadership when I see it.
I've met the man and I am priveleged to know a few of the other POW heroes who were in the Hanoi Hilton with him.

They all support him un-reservedly because he is the only one running who has the experience to lead this country in these times of great peril, in their words "he is the real deal".

How well will you sleep at night with either of those two damfool dems in the WH?

If we don't win the war against these islamo animals all other issues are moot, it won't matter if JSM isn't as lily-white conservative as many would like, we'll be dead. One nuke in NYC will bring our economy to a standstill and chaos will reign.

On the wright issue, I'm with Newt, wright is torpedoing him. If obama gets in, the race baiters won't have anything to whine about anymore and will be out of the poverty business.
The big problem is if clinton steals this nomination at the convention, I'm glad I don't own any property in Denver, the blacks will burn it to the ground in protest.

But, not to worry, I predict JSM will win in Nov by at least 60/40.

Republican party?
If LIB INC. gets in, there will not be a republican party again. They will destroy the country I love and all it stands for. For all you libs out there; when everything I say comes true, I hope you are proud of yourselves. You have taken a once proud nation and made it into a hand out, don't work, suck at the socialteat country that has no back bone. She has no respect from her vets and her working class and you are responsible for every drop of it.
