Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Barack Obama’s recent op-ed in the New York Times declares, “It’s time to end this war.” (You remember that Senator McCain tried to respond, but the Times apparently wanted to give McCain his opinion rather than allow him to express his own.   Every day I read the New York Times and the Bible just to see what both sides are doing.)

Is Obama right?  Is it time to end this war?  Maybe it is time to begin drawing down our forces and handing-off more responsibility for security to Iraqi forces.  This idea is gaining favor in Bagdad and Washington.

The problem for Obama is that withdrawal, not victory, has always been his goal.  Obama wanted to “end this war” when it would have meant an American defeat.  The only reason a slow withdrawal is possible now is because President Bush made the unpopular but wise decision to increase our efforts while Obama and the Democrat party tried to get us to cut and run.

This raises a larger question about Obama’s fitness for the presidency.  Obama has four positions related to the war which, in my view, disqualify him for the presidency.

First, how can a serious candidate for President of the United States have a long-standing goal to end the war rather than win it?  Great presidents don’t end wars—they win them.  The only way the American military can be defeated is when American leaders forfeit the fight for them.  And that’s exactly what Obama has wanted to do for years.

By forfeiting this war we will embolden Islamic radicals who will be free to turn Iraq into a new oil-rich haven where they will finance and launch a fresh round of terror attacks.  We are fighting a suicidal enemy who will stop at nothing to end your freedom and mine.  They will not be reasoned with, placated or appeased.   They can only be defeated.

Obama seems oblivious to these facts.  He has long been more concerned with placating head-in-the-sand liberals than defeating our enemy and protecting our freedom.  Government’s most fundamental duty is to protect its citizens from harm, and Obama fails to meet the most basic requirement for the job.

Second, Obama wants to negotiate with the head of state most closely connected to the terrorists we are fighting—Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.   Other than the goose bumps liberals get when they think they are saving the world by talking with tyrants, there is nothing good that can come out of such negotiations.  Not only would they legitimize an outspoken and dangerous enemy, but they would be an exercise in futility.  How could we trust any resulting agreement with Ahmadinejad?

Should the United States trust a character who denies the Holocaust and continually threatens Israel with comments such as, “Israel must be wiped off the map,” and “Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation's fury.”?  Obama thinks so.  With that kind of judgment he barely qualifies to be the mayor of San Francisco, much less the leader of the free world.

Third, unlike President Bush, Obama will not adjust his position when the facts prove he’s wrong.  Bush changed his tactics and instituted the surge.  But Obama still has trouble admitting the surge worked and will not give credit to the United States soldiers who made it a success.  Apparently, Obama would rather discount the brave actions of our fighting men and women than admit he made a mistake.  He also persists with the absurd assertion that America is less safe since the war began.  Will someone in the drive-by media ask Obama how a free Iraq and thousands of terrorists dead or on the run make us less safe?

Finally, Obama has shown no capacity to do what presidents must do to protect the country:  make the least bad choice when there are no good choices available.  In fact, Obama is notorious for voting “present” in the Illinois Senate rather than taking a stand at all.  If there’s one thing true about the presidency, it’s that all tough decisions rise to the top.  You can’t hide by voting “present.”   And in those tough decisions, there are often no good choices just less bad ones.

Take the decision to go to war.  Obama proudly claims he would have voted against the war had he been in the U.S. Senate at the time. But should he be proud?

I hate to rehash the facts, but it’s necessary because Obama and the Democrat party either deny or ignore them:  Saddam had a terrible record of WMD use and aggressive behavior.  And it was he – not coalition forces— who originally initiated hostilities when Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990. As a result, Saddam was obligated to obey the cease fire terms that left him in power.  He had to prove to the international community that he had given up his hostile ways and WMD.   It was not our job to prove he hadn’t.

But instead of signaling his repentance, Saddam’s defiant behavior required us to reopen the hostilities that he began.  He violated 17 straight UN resolutions, kicked out UN inspectors looking for WMD, and continually broke the cease fire by shooting at coalition aircraft in the no-fly zone.  What would a President Obama have done at the time?  Passed another UN resolution?   (No, that wouldn’t have allowed us to talk.  How about tea at Camp David?)

Removing Saddam may have been a bad choice, but it was the least bad of the choices.  It was a necessary evil to prevent a greater evil in a post 9-11 world.

Good presidents have the courage to execute the least bad choice and take the heat from the appeasers.  Senator McCain has demonstrated that ability, while Senator Obama has done the opposite.  He wants to end the war while defenders of freedom know we must win it.

At worst, all of this reveals Obama’s ignorance; at best, his inexperience.  In either case, he’s not qualified to be the leader of the free world.  The Presidency is not an entry-level position.

What a joke
"Third, unlike President Bush, Obama will not adjust his position when the facts prove he’s wrong."

Coming from a neocon sympathizer like Turek, that's just laughable on its face.

What a joke the Republican Party is now thanks to Bush.

Getting our troops involved in disputes between every Tom, Dick, and Mustafa in the Middle East is not my idea of a good use of tax dollars not to mention other people’s lives.

Somehow the mission to get rid of Al Qaeda morphed into some kind of grand Wilsonian sociological experiment -- with predictable results.

The Republican Party must be cleansed. There is no room in the Party for the neocons if the Party wants to resume winning elections.

Let NYT join graveyard of discarded lies

Frank Turek writes: "Every day I read the New York Times and the Bible just to see what both sides are doing."

If people like Frank and Ann Coulter and other conservatives would stop referencing the NY Times in their columns, if conservatives stopped reading it and paying any attention to it, the NY Times would finally be forced to either engage in credible journalism, or collapse under its own weight and go out of business.

Instead, conservatives harp on the New York Times and get riled up about it, lending it undeserved notoriety and credibility, when what it deserves is to be ignored. Completely.

The NY Times has earned the right to be ignored. By acting as little more than a mouthpiece for the Left, that is the business model they have chosen. They are slanted and biased and proud of it, and they work very hard at it.

We ought to let them reap what they have sown.

4 more years!
Vote for McCain. Let's keep the war going. Let managed care kill us all off. And hopefully, the ecomony will stay in the tank and we will all lose our homes!!!!

VOTE FOR McCAIN!

Plop
So, to summarize, Obama:

* flipped on public financing of campaigns;
* flopped on NAFTA;
* flapped on telecom immunity for post-Sept. 11 wiretaps;
* flepped on disowning his pastor along with his own white grandmother and/or black community;
* flupped on the Constitutionality or its absence of gun-ownership bans;
* flouped on the bitterness of Fly-Over religionists;
* flaiped on the substitutional patriotism of flagpin wearing;
* floyaped on welfare reform;
* flieped on total opposition to the death penalty;
* floweped on unconditional talks with Iranian holyman the Ayatollah Ahmadinejad;
* flueped on being wedded to his unrefined reassessment of his Iraq retreat; and
* floiped on the Jews and their divided Jewrusalem.

We are disturbed or pleased to note, however, that he has as yet neither flighped on his firm stance regarding Gay Marriage, nor fleauped on his dearly held convictions about Abortion. Perhaps we have located his core. Time, and tide, will tell.

AWESOME !
Obama is dumber than utterly stupid, he thinks he is President with his personalized Presidential seal, for 10 years of 57 states:

:change: is changing and twisting the facts every day, sometimes twice a day now

"HOPE" is that the voters are too stupid and too gullible to notice:

Obama is Incompetent, inexperienced, immature, and utterly stupid:

NO NO:: not flip flops::: "CHANGE"
dear Jack:

Obama does not flip flop::: he just changes the facts, his policies, his positions, every other day:

THAT IS "CHANGE" not flip flop!

The Gooney Birds Are Out in Force Today
Good to see that the usual supply of left wing shills have chimed in. Their inane comments are a great way to start a serious debate. The vapid repetition of Democrat talking points illustrates exactly what Turek is saying about the Obamaniacs; there is no substance to their arguments, just arguments for the sake of arguing.

His assessment of B. Hussein Obama is dead on, the man is not qualified to be an Illinois Senator, much less the leader of the Free World. I personally reject the leftist influenced media surveys showing a close race. I think the American public is much too smart to be fooled by B. Hussein and will chose the lessor of two poor choices. By a wide margin.

It's not so much that
obama is stupid, it is that he is the pied-piper of liberalism/communism funded by soros and the others who would destroy this country for their nefarious ends.

Soros has always held a one world view under the corrupt UN, obambi is his puppet.

A guy with his views and absence of any experience whatsoever couldn't get elected dogcatcher 50 years ago and probably would have been investigated by the un-American activities commitee.

It shows just how dangerous to the republic the liberals are and how they have indoctrinated our kids with their garbage.
That obambi is slightly ahead in the polls over a man like McCain with his war record and resume should frighten the hell out of all true Americans.

God help us if that fool gets elected.

President Obama
Better get used to it. Obama will be elected.

Sadly. May God watch over us.

Seawolf
Where do you get this made up stuff about Obama. and as to experience neither Reagan nor GWB has foreign policy experience. The more experienced candidate to Reagan as George Bush senior but he was not the favorite of conservatives so experience all of sudden did not matter.

Obama graduated at the top of his class at Columbia and at Harvard. John McCain grduated at the bottom of his class as a legacy entrant.

McCain has been in office for twenty five years and yet he makes mistake after mistake about his own policies and positions. In the meantime Obama has run a highly disciplined campaign.

McCain has recently shifted his positions on the war in Iraq to match Obamas. McCain has said he knows little about the economy an important issue for voters and has flopped and flopped on every economic issue including drilling.

Far Left Puppets
have a hard time changing their minds after weighting facts, etc. - their decisions have been made and are controlled by radical people/and/or groups.
Barack Obama with all his baggage - still goes on - in arrogance - that is how sure he is of his far left support.
People in the middle and Republicans of every ilk are the only hope for American values going into November. Americans read, watch and pay attention.

America...imploding
Scary, isn't it? And you didn't even mention the economic, cultural, judicial issues, etc., etc., etc.,

Point of experience

Reagan, Bush and Bill Clinton all had been governors, which gave them experience work with legislatures and working in an executive branch.

Obama has two plus years of talking about doing something.

Reagan , Bush , and Clinton were capable of making comments without stammering, if they did not have a TelePrompTer available.

jo51
You have the facts wrong Oidiot graduated 895 out of 899 I would say that is at the bottom not the top of his class

Karen
Ha Ha, JerkMeOff051 just graduated from preschool with an AA exemption. His assesment of Yomamma is the product of observing life in a concave mirror after inhaling large amounts of halucinogenic smoke. BTW, the valedictorian of Columbia is not worthy to lick the boots of any plebe at Annapolis.

Car talk Obama
If you think there isn't urgency to getting Congress to drop its bans on offshore drilling and development of the ANWR oil reserves, listen to what Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama had to say in Missouri yesterday.

"There are things you can do individually, though, to save energy," Obama said. "Making sure your tires are properly inflated – simple thing. But we could save all the oil that they're talking about getting off drilling – if everybody was just inflating their tires? And getting regular tune-ups? You'd actually save just as much!"

That's his energy plan? Inflate your tires? Get more tune-ups?

He is either a moron or he thinks we are? Which is it? Perhaps he should be doing Cartalk on NPR with Click and Clack the Tappin Brothers.

And Reagan and G. W. Bush . . .
. . . had been governors of states with coastlines and international borders. California and Texas are states with foreign policies of their own. Both Reagan and Bush 43 had foreign policy experience prior to running for president. Plus, both had served in the military, whether you are willing to admit it or not. McCain has served in the military and is from Arizona, another state with an international border.

Okay, li'l Hoosey lived in S.E. Asia. But he was 8 years old-- at the same time that Bomber Billy Ayers and Bombette Bernie Dorn were killing people. And Hoosey says he cannot let things that happened when he was 8 influence him now. So, Hoosey's foreign policy experience is non-existant.

Amazed
The technology today is amazing. You can't even see the strings or the arm going up the back of the meat puppet. There has to be a string that when pulled Obama says CHANGE, HOPE. Sometimes the recording skips and he just says UUH.

IN EITHER CASE HE'S NOT QUALIFIED TO BE

THE LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD. THE PRESIDENCY IS NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION!

Amen. Amen. And Amen.

All of which brings us to LUDACRIS. That's right. Turns out he and Obama are buds. Ludacris!!!! You know know him, right? The sick, depraved rapper whose infantile mind knows a told of ten words, none of which can be printed here. Turns out Obama thinks Ludacris has "great talent". Yep. That's the word from Obama. Wow.

Can you imagine the Obama White House?

Just hangin' in the hood with the rappers.

Yo. What it is, bro!

A Man of constant Soros
G.W. Bush and the US military have a withdrawal Plan. It has been contingent upon the facts of the ground situation in Iraq. Troops are being withdrawn as conditions permit and Iraq leaders take control.

It is evident that everything B.O.speaks about improving Iraq has/is already being done on a time-table.

GO AWAY B>O>>>>>

Re: Yellowcake
While discussing Obama's foreign policy experience earlier posts mention Saddam and his WMD. Just in case some of you missed it the current government of Iraq recently sold 550 tons of Yellowcake uranium to a power company in Canada. You can't get much closer to a WMD than the essential component to an nuclear bomb. I'm not surprised that this transaction did not show up on your front page or the evening news.

http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=62908§ionid=351020 201

Question....
Is the world better off with or without Saddam Hussein?

The annoying thing is the way that Obama
keeps trying to compensate for his lack of experience by making arrogant statements.

No Longer A Republican Smithington
Or, NLRS for short.

I agree on the destructive impact the neocons had on the Bush 43 administration.

Even in the midst of the 9/11 attack, some neocons in the administratin were already targeting Saddam, not Bin Laden.

Obama tied to Iraqi government fraud....
In the trailer for, "HYPE. The Obama Effect"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lhPpBPcW9k

Ken Blackwell says that as the layers are peeled back, we begin to see a "disturbing pattern."

"Hundreds of millions in deals with candidate's associates"

http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=70972

"JERUSALEM – Sen. Barack Obama's office engaged in six months of negotiations with a company controlled by convicted criminal Tony Rezko to lobby the U.S. government to push through a nixed $50 million contact to train Iraqi security personnel at a site in Chicago.

"The contract was awarded to Rezko's company while Aiham Alsammarae, a long-time, close Rezko friend and a contributor to Obama's campaign, served as Iraq's U.S.-appointed electricity minister.

"Rezko was a major Obama fundraiser and associate for two decades.

"Alsammarae also awarded another Rezko-controlled operation as part of a $150 million contract to construct a 250-megawatt electricity plant in Iraq.
Alsammarae later was arrested by Iraqi authorities for bilking the coalition government out of some $650 million. He was sprung from prison under questionable circumstances in 2006 and escaped from Iraq, where he is still wanted for questioning with regard to major financial crimes.

"The information raises questions into the nature of Obama's relationship with multiple deals made by Iraq's Electricity Ministry while Alsammarae was in charge. Obama has ties to Alsammarae and to the recipients of several of the massive contracts Alsammarae handed out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lhPpBPcW9k Ken Blackwell says that as the layers are peeled back, we begin to see a "disturbing pattern."

Anyone but me wondering where ALL Obama's campaign money came from?

I've always thought Obama was a very scary person.. Now I think that even more...

No Longer A Republican
May we remind you George W. Bush is not running for President, so this constant reference to "thanks to Bush" by the liberal creeps is nothing but a weak argument. Obama is the subject that must be discussed and this subject has enough weaknesses that any liberal should be hiding his face rather than constantly running down Bush. Anyone who has that much hatred for a man whose only crime was trying to protect us all, including lilly-livered liberals, has a mental problem. Do you go to sleep at night reciting your hatred for Bush? What good does that do you? This contest is between a man unfit to be President and another man maybe not perfect but head and shoulders above Obama. Keep the argument between those running for President, not the object of your insane hatred.

Frank
Iraq has 28 million people, including women and children.Victory in Iraq by America,a country with 300 million people, amounts to Mike Tyson beating up Judge Judy. Are we so desperate for a victory, that we should "Brag" about defeating a child size opponent?A decent person would never broach the subject of Victory, they would be too ashame. But,who ever said we were decent people.I used to,but I guess those days are gone. How very, very SAD...We have "Lost" the America I once LOVED!!!

killer
obviously one of childish mentality who has not contact with reality.

It only took 28 hijackers to kill 3000 of our fellow citizens.

But obviously you lack the comprehension to understand that the dynamics of war have changed.

But then again with a pathetic nickname like killer you envision yourself some type of tough guy. More likely you are a gansta wanna be who thinks calling women derogatory names proves your lack of manhood.

But not to worry the govt will protect cowards like you who have no understanding we live in a dangerous world.

Obama is totally inexperienced
but the problem is, George W Bush is such an incompetent president, that the bar has been lowered to the ground. Those people you meet who say "may dad/uncle/grandpa" would be a better president -- well, they are probably right. So people think, well, Obama could not be worse than Bush.

Is Bush the example of experience?
If George Bush is an example of experience needed as president of the US, then God help the United States. I don't have near the trouble with Barack Obama's inexperience since his intelligence so far outweighs that of Bush and his "advisers". And as to stubborness in changing ones mind - please - using George Bush as an example is just plain silly!!

Dave 2: Both "killer" & "observe1234"

are not only clueless, but also suffering from acute BDS and RDS. (You identified the symptoms in your post!)

killer NEVER makes any sense... so I just ignore him.

observe1234 obviously isn't old enough to remember Carter, and still thinks Clinton was a good pres.

There are a number of things that I disagree with Pres. Bush about... immigration, and most recently bailing out Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac, and now these stupid people who are in foreclosure because they bought homes they couldn't afford....

But "incompetent" is NOT something anyone with a modicum of intelligence would ever call Pres. Bush.

Christopher Hitchens said it very well...

"Bush is stupid' is the joke that stupid people laugh at."

Now, want to talk about Marxist Obama's inexperience and shady friends and dealings???

This turkey has no biography
Let's take one of the simplest refutations first. As many commentators have pointed out Ahmadinejad has no role in Iran's foreign policy. If Obama were to sit down with an Iranian leader it would be one of the Mullahs. Secondly, Obama never mentioned Adhadinajad by name. So, we are forced to ask whether this turkey is merely stupid or stupid and venal.

Secondly, this turkey assumes that if American troops leave the radicals will be able to take over Iraq, which will give them an oil rich haven. Obviously he believes that the surge hasn't accomplished anything of substance in standing up the Iraq government and its ability to provide security for the country. We, then, must ask if he thinks this will ever happen. He doesn't give us any estimate of how much longer American troops will be required, but judging from his premise it will be a very long time.

Then, of course, he evades the question that all conservatives evade of just what constitutes a win for America in Iraq. We can't find one conservative who will spell this out and provide a scenario of how American military might will fashion a stable and unified Iraq to be made from Sharia loving fragmented antagonists such as three different Shiite factions, one, at least, Sunni faction and one Kurd faction. Not a clue from any conservative about how this will every happen.

And, finally, he identifies, again as all conservatives duplicitously do, Iraq as our enemy and invading Iraq as "protecting our freedom." Surely this man has taken the opium rather than the kool aid.

I clicked his biography to find out who this turkey is but no biographical information. Anybody know who this turkey is?

Sunny: Pres. Bush IS NOT running..

Of course, no one want to deal with Marxist Obama because they can't defend him!!!!

20 years as a "neighborhood" organizer doesn't make it. His collection of felon friends should make one wonder.... and now finding out that not only was he also given "special treatment" with his home loan, and NOW finding out that he's got shady Iraqi friends....Hmmm! (Wonder why really he was so opposed to the war?)

Since Marxist Obama' return from his European "fling" even democrats have criticized him for his arrogance and pretentiousness.

KICKING & SCREAMING, THEN "CHANGING"

FRANK TUREK writes: "Third, unlike President Bush, Obama will not adjust his position when the facts prove he’s wrong. Bush changed his tactics and instituted the surge."

Judging by John McCain's repeated stinging criticisms of former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld the facts re the "terribly mismanaged" Iraq War proved Pres. Bush wrong for FOUR YEARS. Yet, Mr. Bush stood by Rumsfeld, his inept buddy, even as casualty tolls mounted and the situation in Iraq deteriorated.

Truth is, the fact that the Republicans lost the 2006 Congressional elections and the fact that the U.S., with the world's most powerful military, was staring ignominious defeat in the face forced the President to "institute the surge."

Turek also writes: "We are fighting a suicidal enemy who will stop at nothing to end your freedom and mine. They will not be reasoned with, placated or appeased."

If the enemy is so implacable and so great a threat to our security and survival, how do you account for the following criticism voiced by Town Hall columnist and National Review editor, who last October, after four and a half years of deadly warfare, wrote:

"The U.S. Government has never brought to bear its resources in a truly national effort to win (the Iraq War)"

How much more of a failure can any President be?

Track record (Karen #15)
If Karen is serious (sorry I can’t tell if you’re kidding), and Obama really ranked 895 out of 899 in his graduating class, it would explain the lack of accomplishments in his track record to date. The pattern is, Once he gets a job, he stops working. He has done it every time, from school forward: consider Harvard, U of Chicago, Illinois legislature, US senate.

He thinks of himself as holding a position ("to be someone"), not as having a job to do ("to do something"). Then he sets himself to conniving for the next higher position.

Not at doing the job he was hired to do.

Boy Wonder in over his head
The question is simple does the level of experience meet the level of responsibility? That is the question the Obama camp is and will do anything to avoid being formed in the minds of voters.

Obama is clearly out of his league and his camp knows it which is why they threw the free concert in Berlin where they were willing to outsource the American Presidency and it's election process.

Experience is important and Obama doesn't have any. The idea that showing up at a couple of free concerts rises to the level of credibility one needs to be POTUS is laughable at best. Somebody needs to explain to Boy Wonder the difference between a concert stage and a global stage. I can't wait until the Obama campaign rolls out the clips.

Looking Presidential
Someone has decided that our dream president should be a Harvard educated black man who is attractive and speaks in generalities. This man will be easy to control and be a puppet for the very small but monied group of anti-American leftists, who have always been around but now have a lot of funding. Its ok that this man is a total novice (I wish that were the only problems with his candidacy) but he can be manipulated by the socialists/leftists. He uses all their code words (economic justice) and white guilt (I look different), so he's playing all the unseamly angles. What I really want to know is how did this country get so pathetic that this is all the democrats can come up with. Even for me, its hard to believe the democrats are this cynical. I have real fear for our country. I am deeply concerned that we have very few statesmen, only manipulators.

PL: That turkey sounds like YOU!

Now, want to talk about the column... WHICH IS:

"The Presidency Is Not An Entry-Level Position."

Marxist Obama has NO... NONE... ZERO... ZIP... NADA experience managing anything. (And I wouldn't even be surprised if Michelle managed their household!!!)

What he does have, however, is a ENORMOUS ego, and more arrogance than any one person should ever have, and a collection of very shady friends that should make anyone wonder who and WHAT Marxist Obama really is...

As Ken Blackwell says, as you peel back the layers, you find some very disturbing patterns in Obama...

Paul: Facts on the ground?
I think no conservative has ever defined what "facts on the ground" means. Therefore, doesn't that make "facts on the ground" open-ended, i.e., anybody can give their own opinion about facts on the ground and say they are bad or good as he or she pleases?

There are roughly 5 million displaced Iraqi citizens. Some of them who have tried to come back to their homes were repulsed by the enemy who had taken over their homes. What does facts on the ground mean in this instance?

The majority of Iraqis want America to leave now. What does facts on the ground mean for this situation?

Any Iraq will be under Sharia law. What does facts on the ground mean for this instance?

The Kurds won't compromise on Kirkuk. What does facts on the ground mean in this instance?

The Mahdi group represents millions of Iraqis. What does facts on the ground mean in terms of what kind of Iraq they want for themselves?

Come on conservatives. Let's be specific, now.

Marxist Obama says, "We are the change

that we've been waiting for"

Marxist Obama's code for:

"I am the change that YOU'VE been waiting for!!!"

Anyone falling for that arrogance will certainly be interested in this bridge I have for sale...........

Sunny
What an incredible statement, your affirmative
action Harvard graduate isn't the brightest bulb to have graduated from there. Bush has a
business degree from there and another degree from Yale. He may sc ramble pronunciations now and then, but that doesn't make him stupid, on the other hand the messysiah can't put two syllables together on the fly without ering and ahing or uhing.
This genius doesnt even make sense when he does speak.,"with stirring conviction of heart and mind I valiantly move towards the light of promise and prosperity that will yield on to us
its shining harvest in abundance." HUH???

For sure, the messysiah does have "I" trouble,
The guy is a creep of the first order, a nincompoop, incompetent, sneaky snake. If you
support him, vote for him, congratulations you have hands dripping with the blood of tortured
babies (partial birth) and abused babies (neglected, untended babies left to die after surviving abortion.) There's is NO excuse for
giving this clown the time of day, just on his
abortion stance. HE SUPPORTS TORTURING AND ABUSING THE TINIEST OF OUR CITIZENS..you should be so proud.

RealCon spits: "Neocon filth getting

desperate"

Hardly!!! But it's obvious when the left starts "name calling" such as "Neocon" and "filth" (what, not fascist too? HA HA) it obvious they know they've lost.

Having read that column by Timmerman, it's obvious, YOU LOSE and you're not happy....

My condolences...

No Longer a Republican Smithington

Do you actually know what a neocon is, or did you just hear the term and thought it was nifty?

All our resources not being used...
If anyone remembers, when Bush first proposed using 300,000 troops, the Democrat screamed that that was too much. When he dropped that number to 100,000, the Democrats screamed that that was too few(as if THEY would know). Bush had to use 150,000 to 200,000 troops because of the ceaseless criticism from the Democrats. But of course, ANYTHING a republican wants to do IS to be opposed be the Democrats

B2Slim
B2Slim observes "Obama does not flip flop::: he just changes the facts, his policies, his positions, every other day:"

Yes! It's "The change we must change to the change we hold dear!"

The Presidency Is Not An Entry-Level Pos
Mr. Turek is quite correct in his assertion that B.O. is not qualified to be POTUS. If B.O. was an older white guy like me, or a young white guy he wouldn't even be in the race. PERIOD. He is an ignorant, arrogant, black liberation theology believing racist, Marxist; supported by the far left kooks of the Democratic party like G.Soros. God help us if enough Americans fall for his crap and elect this Harvard educated idiot as POTUS.

Joesolis: You nailed that one!

The entire demo-cretin party is exactly like a petulant child...

In fact, what Pres. Bush probably should have done all along was to propose precisely the opposite of what he wanted to do, and then the demo-cretins would have INSISTED that he do pretty much what he wanted in the first place.

Kind of like telling a 3yr. old that he CAN'T have any carrots because he WOULDN'T LIKE them!

All of a sudden, carrots are the 3yr. old's new favorite vegetable! :-)

Bob C
Neocons are democrats. And as far as I am concerned, they are liberal democrats at that. A lot of them came from the Scoop Jackson wing of the democrat party. Some people claim Scoop Jackson was not a liberal, but this misses a fundamental point.

A lot of people don't seem to understand that what binds liberal democrats is the belief in big government and using government for social engineering. It is not necessarily being for or against military force although the pacifists got control of the democrat party. People mistakenly began labeling democrats who supported military force to engage in big government social engineering schemes “Conservative” democrats. They were never anything of the sort.

The anti military democrats who thumb their nose at the military usually concentrate on domestic big government projects.

The other group, the neocons, think we can engage in social engineering projects in other countries -- using the military to do so.

Because the neocons operated under the guise of military force, they were able to fool a number of Republican dolts into believing this was some kind of conservatism. Liberal democrats, the neocons, actually hijacked the Republican party foreign policy apparatus -- with disastrous results.

If you think hundred year old disputes involving Shiites, Kurds and Sunnis is going to be solved by our military or should ever have been linked to the “success“ of the mission, and if you think constitutional government can form using Shiite Sharia law in the judiciary and no private property division, by all means keep these idiots in charge. But this kind of idiotic belief is utterly Wilsonian in nature. And Woodrow Wilson was a liberal democrat.

Oblahma
Obama himself is odious and then his behavior is dictatorial - Obama is a dangerous man - he doesn't get America and he doesn't care he doesn't get America - Obama is out for Obama only - Obama loves Obama and we are just the vehicle through which he will fulfill his power lust - he seems to know nothing about the USA or her traditions AND he doesn't get Europe. Obama is ignorant and stupid and arrogant - all characteristics of a flamer who will set off a holocaust - his economic, social engineering policies alone will burn the capitalist market on which we depend for our growth and wealth and job. I despise Obama - he has crowned himself king, exactly why our ancestors fought England - No Royalty in the USA - NO dictator - NO socialist - Obama is anathema to the USA. I want a president of the people of America, not a world president - I want a president who is a citizen of the USA, not the world. Mr. Obama/Peron's disregard and dismissal of our wounded military for whom he had no time or care is all I need to know about Obama, the man who wants to be but isn't. Obama is America's downfall.Polls indicate that the American voter is waking up to the empty, self-centered, morally desert Obama is. The media are fools - tools for their chosen one. Obama is reprehensible, but the media lap dogs just keep drooling.
God help the USA.
Even the Germans weren't fooled by the cardboard blahma before them. Germany’s Stern magazine carried the headline "Barack Kant Saves the World."

One of their columnists, Florian Güssgen, wrote: "The man is perfect, impeccable, slick. Almost too slick … Obama's speech was often vague, sometimes banal and more reminiscent of John Lennon's feel good song 'Imagine' than of a foreign policy agenda."

Wake up American voters. Our democracy is at stake!

Proud Liberal
I cannot imagine where you have been since this war started, but let's try this one more time.

1. The policy of removing Saddam was made by President Bill Clinton.

2. Bush's policy for the war was ALWAYS that as the Iraqi's stood up, we would stand down.

3. The end goal was a democratic Iraq able to sustain itself and become an ally in the WOT.

4. All the nonsense about Islamic factions in Iraq is just that, nonsense! The Iraqi people have always been among the most secular of Islamic states. Their religion is important, but they have been a well educated, business oriented people with fairly reasonable women's rights.

Common sense lacking in another fuzzy thinking liberal mind. Do you now have a clue as to how this will happen?

OBAMA SOCIALISM
Obama’s mentor, Frank Marshall Davis (deceased), member of the Communist Party USA taught Obama the merits of communism. Obama refers to him as Frank in his book "Dreams From My Father."
http://obamareport.blogspot.com/2008/04/barack-obamas-commu nist-mentor-frank.html

Obama wants to tax the wealthiest to the poorest in order to finance his socialist ideas. Raising taxes and blatant socialism is Obama’s “change”. Obama was tutored by socialists in college. Obama, wife Michelle and his children was ministered to by a preacher who spewed an anti-white America, anti-Israel for 20 years. http://www.gopusa.com/commentary/ckincaid/2008/ck_02191.sh tml

Obama asks, "Are we willing to make the investments in genuine, equal opportunity in this country?" Obama says, "People [black] aren't looking for charity. We talk about welfare and we talk about poverty, but what people really want is fairness. They want people paying their fair share of taxes. They want that money allocated fairly."

Obama wants to tip a glass of rum and smoke a good Cuban cigar with Raul, Fidel, Hugo and the other Latin American despots to discuss the merits of socialism and commerce.
Obama wants to have tea with Ahmadinejad and Assad and socialize with Osama, Hamas, Hezbollah, Fatah and all the Jihadists and swap some ideas on religions.

You're kidding, right?
"1. The policy of removing Saddam was made by President Bill Clinton."

This has got to be the most inane statement I have read in the past month, maybe year. Bill Clinton's only "hard" policy decisions involved cigars and interns under his desk. Oh, and firing, what?, 2 or 3 cruise missiles at a baby's milk factory. As a CinC Clinton was a complete and utter farce, on a par with what Obama would be.

Joe Oliva, you could use some remedial education. I'd say start back about the 7th grade. This time, pay attention.

Oliva
"All the nonsense about Islamic factions in Iraq is just that, nonsense!"

You've really got to be joking. Iraq was artificially created after World War I and held together by a series of dictators.

This statement shows no understanding of the history of that place.

Anybody with basic knowledge of the area knew there would be fragmentation.

I don't know of a single Sunni militia that supports the Maliki government. Most oppose it openly frequntly firing on "Iraqi" troops.

Mr. Turek, Great Column
Mr. Turek, this column hits the nail squarely on the head as far as Obama's shortcomings as a potential president go. Everyday my wife and I pray that the American people will have the good sense to send this bozo back to Illinois, to collect kickbacks in Chicago, where he belongs.

It must be convenient
Here we are, less that 100 days before an election and our President has polling numbers that are in the 23% range; a point that has been endlessly hammered by the media for several years (next to no mention of the Democratic Congress's 8% rating however).

Now we have Obama, who has no policies. Ask him a question and the answer inevitably is "change".
Q- "What is "Change" Mr. Obama"
A- "Anything but failed Bush policies"
When will someone remind him that he's not running against Bush or his policies? McCain has repeatedly and consistently (for better or worse) stood his own ground- except when facts of a situation change- then he shows the judgment and leadership to change his policies to reflect the reality of now. Faced with the same scenario, Obama never fails to attempt to change the facts to fit his policy.

The McCain camp has finally started to point out Obama's empty rhetoric. The response- Obama and his media fans immediately cry foul- how dare McCain attack him "just because I don't look like the other Presidents on a dollar bill" or "because I have a funny name" or "did I mention, he's black". In short, according to Obama, questioning his policies in not only disrespectful and unwarranted; it's downright racist. Then the speech winds out some more- back on theme- to "the failed Bush policies".

So, let me make sure I have this right- it's racist for McCain to talk about Obama's policies, but it's completely accurate and valid for Obama to talk run against "the past 8 years" and "the Bush- McCain failed policies" while ignoring McCain's actual policies or the fact that he has routinely opposed Bush?

Excellent article Mr. Turek. I commend you for being "racist" enough to question Mr. Obama.

The University of Virginia, which you did not attend,is a very good school.I am more than certain, that they have a class for the "Elderly".Why not attend? Also, the word "Ignore" has more than one Characterization. At times to ignore means to be ignorant of.Could this possibly be the reason you fail to understand my post?I am such a gentleman, allow me to give you some advise;Don't read my post. Please!!!

Hey Marvl.
I'll leave it to the rest of the readers here to judge who needs to back to school, but here is some of the basic information you missed.

… that the Clinton administration in November 1997 launched a public campaign to build support for a possible war against Iraq. They do not mention that on October 31, 1998, President Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act, which stated that
it should be the policy of the United States to support efforts to remove the regime headed by Saddam Hussein from power.
And, that in 1998, Congress authorized President Clinton to
...use US armed forces pursuant to UN Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 678 to achieve implementation of UNSCRs 660—667.??

I must apologize to the author of the article from which this was taken, but I only had this snippet saved. Nonetheless, the facts are true.

marvl
under the clinton administration the pentagon developed desert fox, which was clinton's plans to invade iraq. But the pentagon knowing clinton's inability to stay the course on anything didn't actively support it. The dims in congress fully supported clinton's ideas but he walked away from doing anything

No Longer A Republican
The entire Middle East, huge parts of Africa, even SE Asia and parts of Eastern Europe are creations of the colonial powers of the 19th Century. What has that got to do with the attitudes of the people in Iraq?

It is you who has not been paying attention. I'll check back with you in a few years, and if a socialist President Obama hasn't totally screwed up the place, I think you will see the results I am predicting for that nation.

Good "advise" from killer #58
You used these words to conclude a series of nice compliments to Anne.

"I am such a gentleman, allow me to give you some advise;Don't read my post. Please!!!"

Thanks, that's good advice for all of us.

I won't bother to comment on your spelling or punctuation. Just look at it.

THE LUDACRIS CONNECTION

A straight line from "Rev" Wright to William Ayers leads to who?

Ludacris! That's right.

Obama knows "talent" when he hears it.

And Michelle and Barack are sure to fist bump the night away at the White House listening to Ludacris scream obscenities. Yes, Ludacris has talent.

Just ask Obama. He'll tell you.

Obama more qualifed than Bush or McCain
Obama has shown the qualities necessary to be president - good judgement, political skills, education and street smarts, articulate, has vision, family values, compassion for average Americans, and love of country. He is certainly more qualified than McCain who is over the hill, and Bush who had never even traveled overseas until elected president. Iraq was a disaster and not worth over 4000 dead Americans - Bush will someday have to answer for that, and for the failure to catch Osama Bin Laden.

Oliva
"The entire Middle East, huge parts of Africa, even SE Asia and parts of Eastern Europe are creations of the colonial powers of the 19th Century. What has that got to do with the attitudes of the people in Iraq?"

To the extent any entity has created an artificial state, that state is not a real nation state, and does not have political consolidation.

That is why my point, which you completely ignored holds true.

I don't know of a single Sunni militia that supports the Maliki government. Most oppose it openly frequntly firing on "Iraqi" troops.

Anybody with basic knowledge of the area knew there would be fragmentation.

The path to political consolidation and stability will in all liklihood involve violent conflict in which one or more governments with actual political consolidation form.

Oliva -- give it a rest
"I'll check back with you in a few years, and if a socialist President Obama hasn't totally screwed up the place, I think you will see the results I am predicting for that nation."

???????????????????????

Unreal. Holding national elections before there is constitutional development had never yielded positive results -- another piece of basic history you want to ignore.

My main objection to this whole thing is that people keep linking the disputes among Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds to the "success" of our troops. And they refuse to recognize the distinction between national elections and constitutional government.

There have been somewhere between 40 and 60 countries since the late 1940s that have held national elections without having histories of constitutional development. To this day, NONE of them have developed constitutional institutions. They turn out like the authoritarian democracies in Iran or Venezuela.

A number of people bring up post-war Germany and Japan. Over several centuries of internal conflict, much of it violent, Japan and Germany developed into nation states. Each also had long histories of constitutional development before they were briefly taken over by the Nazis and Militarists respectively.

Thus, General MacArthur and General Clay introduced democratic reforms into two politically consolidated societies with histories of constitutional development.

The idea that our military should be used to try to create a politically consolidated society and that national elections help create constitutional orders is about as dumb as it gets.

killer spews:"The University of Virginia

which you did not attend,is a very good school."

Nope! Did not attend U of VA. You're right on that point!

Actually I'm a grad of Syracuse University, thank you. :-) (I'm sure you've heard of it???) And a graduate degree from Immaculata Univ. (a very fine Catholic Univ. in a consortium with Villanova.)

How's that for ya?? :-) LOL

You can just bank of the FACT that if I didn't understand what you tried to say, YOU just didn't do a very good job trying explain yourself.... which seems to happen a lot!

Oh, here's an idea! Why don't YOU try some local community college near you. I'm sure they have some remedial courses you can take.
:-)

Re: Bobzmcishl: Obama more qualifed...
Bobzmcishl, maybe you can clarify your post for me.

"Obama has shown the qualities necessary to be president - good judgement,..."

Please tell me when he has demonstrated this? Was it his statements 5 years after the fact that Iraq was a bad decision? Because he certainly had nothing to do with it before then. He was in the IL state senate voting "present" and pressing the wrong button 6 times.

Or perhaps you are referring to his unending insistence that the troop surge would not/ did not work in Iraq; along with his suggestion for the same strategy in Afghanistan?

Maybe you are referring the judgment he used to get involved with illicit land deals with convicted felons?

Or perhaps you are referring to his good judgment of character, as evidenced by his relationship with domestic terrorists/ murderers and 20 year relationship with his racist pastor?

"...street smarts..."
I am missing your point as to how "street smarts is a qualification from President. Do you mean to imply that Obama's ability to use hard core drugs for years without being caught will somehow better enable him preserve and protect the Constitution? Or maybe the fact that he feels that Ludricis is "a talent" for his comments like "b**ch", "ho" and his racist tirades?

We can explore your other characteristics that you attribute to Obama, but let's start with those.

Turn to your later comments, since when does someone's age disqualify them for any job or office? Are you not aware that Age Discrimination is against federal law? I suppose in your world, discrimination only mean exists when an experienced white person questions the policies of a black person.

That also seems to be your only argument against McCain. Do you mean to say that you support Age Discrimination?

T.C. #63: You missed a good connection

between Ayers and Resko... and Ludacris

That's Marxist Obama's Iraqi connection with "Aiham Alsammarae, a long-time, close Rezko friend and a contributor to Obama's campaign, served as Iraq's U.S.-appointed electricity minister..."

Granted it was a bit of a detour, all the way to Iraq, but now perhaps we have a better understanding of why Marxist Obama was so opposed to the war....

Hey, whatta guy this Marxist Obama...

Hey Oliva
Hey Oliva, I'm with you!

There's no question that in a "few" years, we'll have reached a time when someone can say that in another 6 months, we'll be able to hold a press conference to state that in another "few" years, there's no question that that we'll have reached a turning point in the war where we can safely say that the conflict will last at most a "few" hundred years more.

damiano
b hussein being an affirmative action candidate doesn't need the same qualifications that a white with a similar resume would require.

The dims want the white house. They know they have no plausible candidate so they essentially invented b hussein to fil;l the bill.

They think that promoting his race will limit criticism over his lack of resume and ideas about running the country.

But the dims didn't vette their boy enough to realize his associates and how they have influenced him.

But the dims thought that a bright shiny face, a watermelon grin and the ability to read a teleprompter would suffice. They counted on woman having a mandingo fascination with the chosen candidate.

But what they didn't count on is that away from the teleprompter with his approved script, he is a stumblebum.

They knew the msm would be totally enchanted by the person they anointed the messiah. But what they didn't count on was that b hussein would come to believe his own press and that he would come to view himself as the second coming, sent to save us from ourselves

H8CA #48: You are SPOT ON!

Couldn't have said it better myself!

And to think he had the "audacity" and hubris to assume that he would be welcome to speak at Brandenburg Gate.

Talk about a world wide embarrassment!!! That would be Marxist Obama.

jg #62: Well said. :-)
.

The Presidency is not an entry-level....
Frank oh how true you are at that, whoever the last few have made it a OJT learning curve. We have a good choice in McCain, he has leadership qualities and is not going to let the liberals steam roll over our values.
Dems think everything is OJT and then say oops sorry about it. While we have to be perfect. I see it is still a long way to November.
By the way did you notice how BO never says he supports this, he just approves its use.

In spite
of Bobzmicsl obvious ageism, I'd rather have
a man seasoned in warfare than an arrogant lout that thinks he's African royalty..did anyone
catch the royal "we" in his speech? "We are the ones we are waiting for." One more royal
"we" than Queen Victoria's famous "We are not amused." comment. We can't expect the stuck on stupid obamabots to think critically but just incase, it's about the jihadi's wanting to KILL
U.S. stupid! Anne is right on, follow the money
and it gets interesting, verrry interesting.

Don't give me that scat about 4000 military dead, the obamabots and the DemonRATs don't give a rat's patoot about the welfare of our
military. They didn't when they were useful idiots drugged up and protesting Vietnam or
spitting on the returning military. They are still spitting on them, see Bezerkley..and my
newly minted Navy enlisted grandson has commented on receiving dirty looks in public from these selfish, greedy twits.

Obama is the poster boy for the lefts respect for our military heroes. He REFUSED to shake hands with troops in Afghanistan and Iraq in his
"We are the world grand tour." His contempt is especially evident when he refused to see our
wounded in Landstuhl because the poor widdle
whiner couldn't bring his drooling sycophantic
press entourage for photo ops.

Tea Party writes: "I'd rather have a man
seasoned in warfare than an arrogant lout that thinks he's African royalty.."

You're SPOT ON! And anyone who doesn't see the "logic" and "common sense" is just too intellectually limited to understand what's going on, much less what's at stake!

Yes, I did catch the royal 'we' in his speech! "We are the ones we are waiting for."

As Glenn Beck would say, "I thought blood was going to shoot right out of my eyes!!!"

Funny you mention Queen Victoria's famous "We are not amused." comment. That's precisely what I though of when I heard it. :-)

You're right too.. "... obamabots and the DemonRATs don't give a rat's patoot about the welfare of our military. They didn't when they were useful idiots drugged up and protesting Vietnam or spitting on the returning military."

About your "newly minted Navy enlisted grandson..." Congratulations to you and to him. Being a "Navy Brat" myself, I have a soft spot in my heart for our Navy... Please tell him he's in our prayer, and are very thankful and grateful for his service... in spite of the low class idiots who would react to him in such reprehensible ways.

A few weeks ago a poster noted that this particular election is NOT about Republicans or liberals.. IT's about what candidate is the MOST DANGEROUS. And that is, without question, Marxist Obama.

There is no question that if Marxist Obama wins (God forbid!) our country will cease to exist as we have.

Are we afraid of Marxist Obama. YOU BET! He's one scary, arrogant person. If you're not afraid of him, you have no idea what's at stake!

Obviously, Turek is SPOT ON with his

assessment of Marxist Obama and his total and complete lack of qualifications to he POTUS!

Otherwise, the hordes of limited liberal Marxist Obama followers would be here posting up a storm, and clearly they have nothing to say!

Re: Anne
Thank you, I thought killer overplayed his hand by a little bit.

We didn't do that at Syracuse when I was there. What we did was just play careful, practical poker. Invite the opponent to overplay his hand. Let him talk. Just win. They say Bush does this, too.

Most people aren't paying attention yet. I think the great majority is going to see Mr. O as a lightweight who has underperformed at every stop from Harvard on. Produced little at U Chicago, little in Illinois legislature, votes "present" in the senate.

I could say more, might say it if needed. Why overplay my hand, eh?

jg: Yea!!!! Go SU!!! :-)
You're right... good times... and snow... lots and lots of snow!

And you're right, killer usually overplay his hand... and his intellect. Ugh!

WHO CAN BE PRESIDENT
ONLY A MAN OR WOMEN WITH STRONG AND REAL LOVE AND COMMITMENT TO SERVE AND SAVE AMERICA.PLEASE PICK THE ONE AND ONLY IN THIS RACE.McCAIN.

Tea Party: Just thought about something

else.....

Remember the whining and crying by the Marxist Obama and his handlers when... heaven forbid... the news media whispered that McCain might be announcing his VP, WHILE Marxist Obama was on his world wind tour...???? The nerve!!!!!!!!

"Heyyyyy... they're taking away from our spotlight... that's not fair... whaaa whaaa whaaa..."

Pee Wee Caesar
"You're kidding? There is no basement in the Alamo?"

A degree from Harvard, Yale, or Princton does not automatically endow anyone with Solomon-like greatness. The poor leadership skills of the last several presidents have resulted in America being adrift. China thanks these presidents very much.

Hey, conservative friends
This one of the best anaylses of the US political/economic scene that I've read. We need to regroup and kick the Republicans and Democrats who profess to be conservative. Our economic illiteracy is vast, thanks to poor schools, fraudulent "news" reporters, and wimpy politicians. There is no hope for us if we elect the lying liberal fascist. Before you read this, sit down in a quiet, reflective place with a tea or coffee.

http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=13612

God bless.

Anne

Obama and his crooked Iraq friends.

Obama and his radical friends.

Obama and his rapper friends.

So what do we have here.

We have a kid who has been in the senate long enough for a cup of coffee or two with zero experience. Plus the fact that he has voted one way on every single issue since arriving in the senate. The way of a left-wing, hardcore, liberal radical.

Why shouldn't he vote that way. That's what he is!

What more is there to say
about BO Hussein?

He is a despicable, snake oil salesman with NO experience and NO scruples. His stance on abortion is simply horrific. His arrogance and ignorance are truly frightening.

But what's far more frightening is the fact that there are far too many Americans who are falling for this charleton. How did this come to be? Look no further than the past 40-50 years of indoctrination via the US public school system.

God save the USA.

T.C.: You know it, and I know it...

and I think (pray) more and more are figuring it out.

And hopefully by Nov. more and more of those now "undecided" will figure it out.

The Power of Smooth Words....
Thanks, Frank, for your concise analysis of the Obamphenom.

I actually read Obama's Berlin speech (I must confess I threw up a little in my mouth when I came to the "global" conscience part) and all I could think about was how similar it was to the speech the valedictorian of my high school graduating class gave as she challenged us to "climb every mountain, swim every sea" (yeah, I'm that old.)

I was in high school and college in the 60s and this guy should be prosecuted for plagiarizing the "make love, not war" hippy poets shaking down the rubes for spare change rather than getting a job.

CS Lewis was right to describe men like Obama as "men without chests." There is no there there. To quote Dr. G, "Are you absolutely sure there are no absolute truths?"

Happy to see you made Townhall.com. Greet Stephanie and the boys for me.

We need an actual leader...
Bush is unpopular. I gather that. But he stands by his decisions to do what he believes in the best interest of our safety whether it makes him popular or not.

POTUS is not a popularity contest. Obama is missing that. McCain is correct in saying that he would rather lose a war to win an election than lost an election to win a war. The mere fact that McCain would rather win the war than be POTUS shows his TRUE devotion for this country.

He cannot even admitt up to this point that the surge worked and is continuing to work. He was on the ground for all of about 2 days, didn't spend any time with the troops whom are laying down the ground work over there. And this is only his second visit (and he never would have gone again if McCain had not called him out). That does NOT make him qualified to say ANYTHING about this war.

Any man whom claims defeat before the fight is not fit to run this country.

Sugary Sweet? And the dims do?
What's your point? You shouldn't generalize. There are good Republicans all over the country that fight wasteful spending, stand up for Christianity, support are forces and their mission and fight the courts for our individual liberty and to protect American sovereignty from illegals and terrorists every day.

We need to keep those and throw the rest out. Including every Democrat simply for going along with moveon/kos and their minions Oblaba, Hi-liar-y, Reid, Pelosi and the whole anti-American, anti-troop, anti-oil bunch encouraging the enemy and costing me a fortune.

Sugary Sweet
My mistake. I thought you were a Republican. I see by your other posts that you're a koolaid drinker of the move on/kos devotee. Well, good luck with all that. What a waste of space.

Obama Swift-Boated?!! Oh,my!
"The Obama Nation-Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality" by Jerome Corsi,Ph.D, the co-author of "Unfit for Command" the Swift Boat Veteran's expose' of John Kerry (the book that helped defeat that seditious traitor in 2004), will go on sale Aug.1.

It has been steadily climbing the charts and at late-evening is already at No.11 on the Amazon list. (Nancy Pelosi's new autobiography has in contrast dropped from the high 500s all the way down to 1,191 in a single day!)

Corsi was on Mark Levin this evening, and claims to have the GOODS on Barack Hussein! (DOCUMENTED with over 600 referenced footnotes)

Corsi claims to examine and expose:

Obama's extensive connections with Islam.

The nature of his 20yr relationship with the Black Liberation Theology of Jeremiah Wright.

Obama's connections with Kenya.

Obama's involvement with the slumlord empire of Chicago political fixer Tony Rezko.

Obama's anti-nuclear weapon (for America) foreign policy.

GUARNTEED to have the same affect in waking up American voters that "Unfit for Command" did!

It will be fun watching the Mainstream Obama-backing media try to SPIN THIS ONE!! Ha Ha Ha

RACISM, RACISM, RACISM!!

Oh boy,I can't wait 'til the bookstore opens!!

Barack Hussein Obama, the Coward.
In any conflict, only the coward would cut an run. I have seen many of them in Southeast Asia wars in the 70s. Three decades later I saw another one right here in the US: Barack Hussein Obama, the coward.

OncealwaysaMarine: YES, I saw Corsi
on H&C tonight.. (Thurs.)

No doubt, after Corsi being on Levin's program, and now on H&C, his book will hit #1...

BTW, Corsi will also be on Hannity's America...

(My only disappointment was that Kirsten Powers was filling in for Colmes. I'd have given almost anything to see Colmes sputter and spew through an interview with Corsi!)

Obama For Prom King...Not President
Right on Frank Turek! Obama is the cool guy in high school that got elected Prom King because he was so smooth. Now he thinks he is qualified to be President because he can draw a crowd of sheep just like in high school.

what mischief?
has anyone considered who BO would appoint to the supreme court if he is elected certainly not a constitutionalist. Maybe judge edward cashman of Vt

The Presidency
Sorry to burst your bubble bama but The President of the U.S.A. job is also not succeptable to affirmative action. We do not have to vote you in just cause your black!

You will have to prove you're up to the job & so far you have failed miserably! McCain'08

RxLady Location: NYReply # 22

Why do you ask this of people who have absolutely no idea what it was like to live in his regime. Why don't you go live in one of the islamic dictatorship states, I'm sure your question will be answered to your satisfaction! Then come back & give us your answer (if you're still alive or able)!

Republican Hypocrisy in America
Dear Frank: Are you Republicans kidding? George Bush is the worst President that the U.S. has ever had in it's entire history! The man has become a dictator to his own people! He went to war with lies of "weapons of mass deception". He did not care that 67% of the American people disagreed on going to war with Iraq and he could only get Stalin Tony Blair of Great Britain to give him the lying information he needed to go to war with Saddam Hussein and Iraq! Even Israel said that Iraq had nothing to do with 09/11 ! The Republicans have spent more money in the war with Iraq led by George (G.W. Go to War Bush) than all the Presidents in the history of the U.S. period!! Fiscal Party my foot!

Did You Post My Reply#103??
I have posted a reply on this website 3 times!! I was told after I had finished the reply that it was too long and that I needed to make a blog. I posted a reply on August 3,2008. The reply was supposedly posted according to the website at the top of the page 103 replies! The site showed #103 replies according to the symbol at the top of the website! I want to know where my reply is on your website. Are you afraid to post a different opinion than the Republican claptrap that is mostly on your site? America is supposed to be a free and so-called democracy which the founding fathers of this country died to give all men the right to differ on opinions!!Even Republicans!!!

Michael - Put down the purple Kool-Aid..
...and slowly step away from the table...

Michael writes: “Did You Post My Reply#103??”

Yes, clearly it did post.

Michael writes: “I have posted a reply on this website 3 times!!”

Yes Michael, everyone who cared to was able to view your little screed.

Michael writes: “I was told after I had finished the reply that it was too long and that I needed to make a blog.”

I don’t mean to burst your bubble, but anyone who tries to post more than 2,000 characters (including spaces) gets that exact same message, it wasn’t a special one just for you.

I’ve even received it myself, once or twice ;-)

Uhh… look right above the post of yours that I’m currently quoting…

No Michael, you must be thinking of Daily-Kos or Huffington what’s-her-name. Your side is the side that does not allow dissent. Opposing viewpoints are removed from the echo-chambers of the Leftist blogosphere, but here in the real world, men and women are not afraid of having their views challenged.

It’s always amusing to watch Leftists accuse others of behavior that their own side has patented, copyrighted and engages in with pride.

If you stop drinking the purple Kool-Aid, you might recover from your delusions, Michael.

It has worked for others…

Gus - Obama and the Popsicle stand...

Gus writes: “Bush was Experienced? - at what?”

Before running for the office of the presidency of the United States of America, George W. Bush served as the governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000.

That is an executive position, as elected leader of the second largest state in the union, both geographically and by population, a state which in the 4th quarter of 2006 (according to the most recent data I found) had a gross state product of $1.09 trillion dollars.

By way of comparison, to the best of my knowledge, Barack Hussein Obama has never even run a Popsicle stand.

In 2004, Obama was a member of the state senate of Illiniois' 13th district.
In 2005, he became the junior Senator from Illinois to the U.S. Congress.
In 2006, Obama began running for president of the United States of America, which has essentially been his full-time occupation ever since.

If Obama's undeniable inexperience doesn’t give people serious doubts and reservations, then nothing else about him is likely to, either.

Gus writes: “The GOP foisted that anti intellecutal maroon on us with full knowledge that he was incurious to a fault, obstinate in his ignorance - with Shakespearean daddy problems.”

Even *if* your characterization was remotely accurate, GWB had at least one redeeming virtue that clearly trumped all others:

In 2000, he wasn’t Algore.
In 2004, he wasn’t Jean François Kerry.

It is sad that our choices are so limited.

John McCain is not Barack Obama…

Gus writes: “The punishment for that should be a decade of 3 house Democratic control.”

The punishment for giving us the likes of Ted Kennedy, Robert Byrd, Howard Dean, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Harry Reid, Tom Daschle, Rangel, Nancy Pelosi, Murtha, Conyers, Cynthia McKinney, Schumer, Fienstein, et al, ought to be permanent banishment as a political philosophy, ideology and party, because it is manifestly and irretrievably bankrupt.

Great Presidents win wars
Frank said :'First, how can a serious candidate for President of the United States have a long-standing goal to end the war rather than win it? Great presidents don’t end wars—they win them. The only way the American military can be defeated is when American leaders forfeit the fight for them. And that’s exactly what Obama has wanted to do for years.'

REPLY: Hasnt the U.S. pulled out of wars in the past ??? (The Vietnam War, the Korean War, and others ?).
