Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

“How can ANYONE take this man seriously?” writes Marilyn, a frequent reader of our Center for Vision & Values articles.

Attached to Marilyn’s email was this headline, “Gore compares climate change fight to war against Nazis.” As the accompanying article noted, Al Gore, speaking at the World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment in Oxford, warned his audience—mostly British—of the imperative to confront climate change, as Britain and the Allies once battled Hitler.

“The former U.S. vice president said the world lacked the political will to act,” reported the London Times, “and invoked the spirit of Winston Churchill by encouraging leaders to unite their nations to fight climate change.”

Fancying himself a contemporary Churchill, Gore sounded the clarion call, declaring that the essential missing ingredient is courage and commitment. Like the brave Sir Winston in those ominous days of the Battle of Britain, Gore stoically exhorted: “We have everything we need, except political will.”

As for those pusillanimous appeasers who cover their eyes to the need for urgent action? Presumably, they are modern Neville Chamberlains, appeasing the evil of global warming, just as history’s Great Appeaser placated Hitler.

Predictably, Al Gore’s extremist proclamations were largely ignored by the mainstream press that tragically serves as educator-in-chief to most Americans. This isn’t the kind of headline deemed newsworthy by Katie Couric and CBS News.

That brings me back to Marilyn’s email: How can anyone take this man seriously? Well, the fact is we’ve done just that for almost 20 years. Believe it or not, Gore stated precisely these things in his 1992 international bestseller Earth in the Balance. What Al Gore said in London last week is no different from what he has said—and gotten away with—for decades.

Consider some passages from Gore’s 1992 manifesto:

In one of the many deeply disturbing passages in a deeply disturbing book, Gore hailed ecological activists as “resistance fighters” and “people of conscience” engaging in a just war akin to the World War II resistance that fought the Nazis.

That thought alone is incredibly offensive, especially in what it implies of those who reject Gore’s environmental prescriptions. In particular, however, the parallel is a grave injustice to those who suffered under the Nazis. Jews ought to be outraged. Gore’s moral equivalency reveals a breathtaking lack of historical measure—odd for a man who writes on the triumph of “reason.”

Gore’s Nazi metaphors are ubiquitous in Earth in the Balance. Warning of an “environmental holocaust,” Gore exhorted: “Today the evidence of an ecological Kristallnacht is as clear as the sound of glass shattering in Berlin.” Gore asserted that America’s consumption of resources is reminiscent of Germany’s descent into fascism.

As if his Nazi analogies weren’t aggressive enough, the Nobel Peace Prize winner envisioned “a kind of global civil war between those who refuse to consider the consequences of civilization’s relentless advance and those who refuse to be silent partners in the destruction.”

Yes, that’s right: a “global civil war.”

Consequently, Gore urged, the rescue of the environment must become the “central organizing principle” of all societies and modern civilization. This will require not just sacrifice and struggle but “a wrenching transformation of society.”

Al Gore prophesied nothing short of environmental Armageddon, an apocalypse, and called for a crusade. The word crusade, in this case, had religious connotations, in contrast to when FDR, Eisenhower, or Reagan called for “crusades” for freedom.

Indeed, it is rarely recalled that Earth in the Balance carried the instructive subtitle, Ecology and the Human Spirit. This environmental manifesto was a sort of spiritual autobiography by Gore, his epistle to Mother Nature, his adoration of the Earth. This is evident in the chapter, “Environmentalism of the Spirit,” where Gore insisted that the “environmental crisis” demands “a new faith in the future of life on earth.”

So, in short, Al Gore’s remarks in London are nothing new.

In a just world, or at least, in an America where “journalists” provided objective news coverage, these Al Gore absurdities would have been exposed long ago, and this man would have never gotten close to the vice presidency let alone the presidency. Of course, that’s why journalists never touched them, in the hopes that Gore’s scary statements would never see the light of day—or of television cameras.

What’s even scarier is that a majority of Americans took this man seriously enough to vote him president in 2000. We dodged that bullet, but Al Gore’s dream lives on with sudden renewed vigor, as the most leftist president and Congress in American history stand poised to make it a reality. (“Cap-and-trade” is the first shot in their environmental salvo.)

At long last, Al Gore’s “wrenching transformation” may be upon us, courtesy of Americans’ choices at the voting booth.

P.T. Gorum, Prince Charles & The G8
The believers don't like to have their cultish love of Gaia compared to anything close to a religion. It is not a religion, they say, but they do excommunicate anyone, who changes his or her mind about AGW in the slightest bit.

Prince Charles, who talks to his plants, claims that the Earth will end in July of 2017 unless the Earth is cooled right now. Mark Steyn suggests that you might not want to wait to before starting to reading a really long book. If you begin it now, you will find out how it ends before Prince (or King?)Charles' "scientific" clock runs out of time.

Gore claims that climate change presents a greater risk than did Hitler's Germany.

And, now, the G8 fools think that they can control the temperature of the Earth.

Does anyone know what the proper temperature of the Earth should be?

Hopefully, it is not 98.6 degrees.

Yes, Prince Charles talks to his plants and claims that the world will end in 96 months, which must mean that the current Pope will die before then. According to the Prophecy of St. Malachy, there will be 112 Popes. Pope Benedict is the 111th and the one after him will, supposedly, see the end of the world. Perhaps, Charles has recalculated the Mayan Calendar!!! Cue the "Twilight Zone" music.

Forget about Cloward-Piven and financial collapse, but party like its the end of May 2016.

alldull and the prince
funny how these fools living large either from promoting a scam as in alldull's case or born on the right side of blanket and enjoy inherited wealth and privilege without having any skills or ability, still feel they have the right to tell others how to live their lives

Seems alldull has no problem lecturing the world while he wastes huge amounts of energy traveling about or floating on his huge houseboat or heating his home.

Yet despite what real scientists say, this same alldull with his 2 science classes at hahvad where he got the sterling grades of c's in both claims to know then they ever could

Those AGW Fools - I
"Why don’t they just shut up!
The science is settled! We have consensus."

Well, except for those 32,000 American scientists who have signed a petition saying they don’t agree that anthropogenic, or man-made, global warming is threatening society as we know it.

And now we have another one – another skeptical scientist who attempts to enlighten the cult of AGW as to how the science actually works. I’ll let him lay it out:

So why the fuss lately about man-made global warming? The melting Arctic? Do you know we’ve only been monitoring the extent of Arctic ice via satellites since 1979? And while Arctic ice coverage has declined, it’s actually been rising since 2006. And have you heard Antarctic sea ice has increased by nearly 14% since 1979?

The global warming crowd is quick to blame the release of carbon dioxide thru the burning of fossil fuels, such as oil, gasoline, natural gas, and coal, for warming our climate and setting us on a path for doom.

Since before the industrial revolution the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has been rising, up to around 385 parts per million by volume today. That amounts to a miniscule 0.0385% of the atmosphere. Increased CO2 levels are beneficial to plants since they require carbon dioxide to grow. In this experiment, plants exposed to CO2 levels of 1,090 parts per million by volume by far exhibited the most growth.

So, does carbon dioxide drive the climate? The answer is no!

Those AGW Fools - II
Natural cycles play a much bigger role with the sun at the top of the list. A look at total solar irradiance since 1600 shows a distinct correlation to temperature readings. Readings are higher now than anytime in the past 400 years!

Then there’s El Nino Southern Oscillation, the North Atlantic Oscillation, the Pacific Decadal Oscillation, the Atlantic Multi-Decadal Oscillation, the Arctic Oscillation, the Pacific-North American Teleconnection, Milankovitch forcing, ocean variations, and so on and so forth.

Is there any way to model all these variables? Again, the answer is no! The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC, has tried and failed!

Back in 2001 the IPCC released a suite of computer model solutions depicting the future state of the atmosphere. These reports by the IPCC are used repeatedly to drive policy around the world. But, if you look at what’s happened since then, global temperatures are actually on a downward trend, whether you look at actual thermometer readings across the world or satellite-derived temperatures. This when the IPCC models were predicting continued warming.

Is it possible?
It should be possible to file class action law suits against Al Gore and these global warming cultists. This issue needs the light of day badly and a confiscation of Al Gore millions to partially reimburse the country for all the extra costs his scam is costing.

Give me Bernie Madoff over Al Gore any time.

Liberal religion, part 1
The current devotion of many libs to some form of earth-worship is hardly surprising, since those who, in a religious sense, stand for nothing will fall for anything, including the most primitive forms of paganism.

When devotion to Christian beliefs declines, we should not expect to see any great enthusiasm developing for true atheism. Some form of religion will arise because people need it. I don't know who made the following translation from Pascal, but it certainly strikes a chord:

"What else does this craving, and this helplessness, proclaim but that there was once in man a true happiness, of which all that now remains is the empty print and trace? This he tries in vain to fill with everything around him, seeking in things that are not there the help he cannot find in those that are, though none can help, since this infinite abyss can be filled only with an infinite and immutable object; in other words by God himself." [Pascal, Pensees #425]

Liberal religion, part 2
It can be persuasively argued that the Christian faith, commonly mocked by the MSM and rejected by liberals everywhere, is the most complex, paradoxical, and in the long run intellectually satisfying of all religious systems. When rejected it is commonly replaced by some simpler imitation. Both Islam and Marxism have been described by theologians as Christian heresies, much simplified from their real source. One can get some idea of this (in greatly simplified form) from C.S. Lewis's popular little book Mere Christianity.

But both Islam and Marxism are major faiths, with rich traditions when compared to the earth worship that captivates many modern liberals. The nice thing about earth worship is that its practitioners are not required to do anything beyond paying lip service to issues like ecological awareness (without necessarily becoming ecologists) and climate change (without necessarily becoming climatologists).

One hardly needs to study difficult sciences to be a full-fledged cult follower. And one certainly need not be concerned with how one treats fellow humans, individually or collectively. After all, the earth religion commonly sees humans as parasites on the planet, deserving mainly of extinction--the cult followers' equivalent of hell. An earth worshipper can feel perfectly righteous while engaging in behavior that Christians, Jews, Muslims and even Marxists would condemn as immoral. It is almost the ideal liberal religion.

Green Energy's First US Casualty

For the past decade, Austin’s ambition to become the world’s clean-energy capital has been best exemplified by one effort: GreenChoice, a program that sells electricity generated entirely from renewable sources such as wind.

Now the nationally renowned program is struggling to find buyers — the latest allotment is 99 percent unsold after seven months on the market — and Austin Energy is looking for ways to bring down the rising costs. …

Although it generally cost a little more than standard electricity, a GreenChoice contract guaranteed a price would not change for a decade. Because of that promise, there were times when coal, oil and natural gas prices spiked and made them more expensive than GreenChoice.

“Customers got a 10-year fixed cost — that’s why it sold out,” Clark said. “It was designed to be a value proposition to customers, instead of just asking them to pay more to be environmentally friendly.”
But lately, customers haven’t been sold on that proposition.

While previous offerings took about half a year to sell out, the current one has attracted only 104 homes and five businesses — leaving about 99 percent of its power unpurchased, according to Austin Energy.

The reason is that GreenChoice prices have risen more than fivefold since the program started. GreenChoice now would add about $58 a month to the electricity bill of an average home.

LOVE those liberal "seers"!!!
Remember Toffler? He predicted the end of the world in famine by 1990 and in the same year Ted Danson shrieked we have "less than 10 year left". As the clock runs out they ALWAYS have a backup scam. That's how the coming Ice Age begat Global Warming which begat "Climate Change". ANYTHING to shackle the U.S. to a 19th century lifestyle (except for the elites) and get their hands in our pockets.

Gore's Relevance
Ever since Bush "stole" the election Gore has been seeking relevance. But I think that in seeking relevance he has become completely nutzoid. On top of losing to Bush, he couldn't even carry his own state, That had to be a real shot to his psyche.Oh well, maybe he can hire a real Hollywood shrink now that he stands to cash in on his global warming cure.

Believe Me, Look at Me! Me! Me!
Area 51, crop circles, global warming, alien abductions, ghosts, goblins, Klingons, warp drive.....

Is Gore unhinged...?
BWAAAAHAHAHA!

Yes.

Did you really think you had to ask?

After Gore compares his crusade to that of fighting NAZI's, when it's Gore and his cronies who are willing to crucify anyone who refuses to join his 'party' and salute the green flag of fascist environmental policy.

Gore's platitudes are the equivalent of Mein Kampf.

Al Gore
is in it for the money and nothing else. He is highly invested in "Green Industry". If it were proven tomorrow, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that man had nothing to do with global warming, Al Bore would be a broke man!

I say, this is all so true. You have nailed the essence of the liberal religion. Even more simply, they honor and fulfill their faith just by "feeling" the right things. Nothing as far as action or specific behavior is required. Just say the right things, raise awareness, and engage in moral exhibitionism and you're right where you need to be.

Do all this and you are free to then do anything you want with no consequences or repercussions.

Oldprof, if you haven't already, you might enjoy reading Coulter's book 'Godless.' I (finally) just finished it and it is really good. Ann is truly a treasure that we should take advantage of.

The ironic thing is...
Germany is a leader in cutting its carbon emissions. It cut them by about a sixth, more than anyone else in Europe.

Could it be..........?

Suppose the entire global warming thing is Al Gore's personal scheme to get rich?

How much did he make off of that movie again? Was it close to $200 billion?

What about his investment in Generation Investment Management? Is it true that company is lined up to trade in carbon credits on the commodity exchanges?

Is old Al ready to rake in the really big bucks? Like billions of dollars?

What about those carbon credits? Imagine the US goverment creating a fake commodity and forcing companies to particpate in trading the fake commodity?

Isn't this scheme going to drive up energy costs? Who wants that?

What about the risk of a price bubble for the carbon credits? Wouldn't that be a potential cause for the enxt recession?

Is this Al Gore's dirty little secret?

Is it Al Gore's convenient truth?

Frey
Everyone else in Europe saw their emissions increase by 5% AFTER they decided to cut them.

We haven't had cap-n-tax and we still decreased our emissions by 2% in the same time that the EU average went up.

The EU's Climate Change Director stated recently that it is not their intention to decrease their emissions; rather, they want America's GDP brought down to theirs (1.9% in a good year) and a level playing field for their big corporations at our's expense.

correction ......

$200 Million (not billion)

Cap-n-TRADE - I
Fat Al Bore invested $2mn into "green energy" and he is now worth $100mn. Further, he is fast on his way to being the first "Green" billionaire.

The Pelosi family owns STOCK in a "green energy" company.

Obama has admitted that Cap-n-Tax will not decrease emissions.

Paul Krugman stated that there will be no net increase in American jobs.

Microsoft, among other corporations, has said that it will move overseas to avoid Obamanism.

General Electric and Goldman-Sachs, both recipients of TARP funds, have already established "green energy" arms to TRADE carbon credits. You missed that part of Cap-n-TRADE, didn't you?

Suffice it to say:

Ladies and Gentlemen, when the baseball players bet on the game, you get a bunch of Pete Roses.

Guess which company first supported Cap-n-TRADE?

Any takers? It was ENRON.

You thought that credit default swaps were a catastrophe. Just wait until you get a load of the "exotic financial instrument" known as a carbon credit.

Iran has the world's 5th largest oil and natural gas reserves; yet, it imports gasoline because of a lack of refineries.

The United States has ~2,000 TRILLION cubic feet of natural gas, which has yet to be tapped. It is #1 in the world, as far as natural gas reserves, but is the #1 importer of natural gas.

France gets more than 75% of its energy from nuclear plants. It has an innovative method of recycling nuclear waste, which it reuses in nuclear facilities.

Jimmy Carter put into place a ban on nuclear waste recycling.

Italy will be exporting its nuclear waste to Oak Ridge, TN.

The Chinese are drilling 50 miles off of Florida.

There are ~800,000 barrels of oil that naturally seep onto California beaches.

The best fishing is, and has always been, around an offshore oil/gas platform.

So, environuts, chew on that.

Did you know that 75% of our natural gas flows through a pipeline to the Northeast?

Public Praises Science; But

Scientists Fault Public, Media

Scientific Achievements Less Prominent Than a Decade Ago

A substantial percentage of scientists also say that the news media have done a poor job educating the public. About three-quarters (76%) say a major problem for science is that news reports fail to distinguish between findings that are well-founded and those that are not. And 48% say media oversimplification of scientific findings is a major problem. The scientists are particularly critical of television news coverage of science. Just 15% of scientists rate TV coverage as excellent or good, while 83% say it is only fair or poor. Newspaper coverage of science is rated somewhat better; still, barely a third (36%) of the scientists say it is excellent or good, while 63% rate it as only fair or poor.

Al Gore has a grand delusion... he's Captain Planet. He would have done looney things if he'd have been POTUS, but now he has his "Nobel-esque oblige" in full gear. The temerity it takes to believe that the paltry efforts of banning SUV's and converting America to wind power will actually turn the tide is much like praying to Odin, and gives all a clue from which two of Gore's orifices the wind is blowing. I suppose any day he'll declare that the imminent demise of the yeti is upon us due to global warming too. If we could just hurredly colonize the moon... ah, hubris, thy name is Gore.

Al Gore has already been dis-credited. We now know the "scientific facts" in his books and documentary, are not really scientific facts.

Teleprompter Commits Suicide

There was a tragedy at the White House today.

Midway through his speech on urban and metropolitan policy in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building this afternoon, one of his two small glass prompters came crashing down, hitting the wood floor and crashing in many pieces. It made quite a ruckus.

“Oh, goodness,” a startled President Obama said. “Sorry about that, guys.”

The VP took the opportunity to crack a joke at his boss’s expense.

“What am I going to tell the president when I tell him his teleprompter is broken?” Biden joked, “What will he do then?”

As my SOLE effort EVER to work for the "public good", I supplied the Speech"

You wrote, "That amounts to a miniscule 0.0385% of the atmosphere. Increased CO2 levels are beneficial to plants since they require carbon dioxide to grow." Most people don't understand percentages. Just right it was 0.000385 parts of the atmosphere to see how small it actually is.

If Gore is merely unhinged
then he must be getting better.

Seriously, though, Gore's Nazi analogies reveal not only his obtuseness, bad taste, hysteria, and tendencies toward hyperbole and bullying, but also his ignorance of history.

Nazism was an outgrowth of Romanticism, a variable, volatile mixture that often included collectivism, mysticism, and love of nature. A broad streak of environmentalism ran all through its blather about the unity of _Volk_ and _Land_, _Blut_ (blood) and _Boden_ (soil). Many prominent Nazis adopted or at least promoted a vegetarian diet. The Third Reich banned vivisection -- of nonhuman species anyway -- and even Adolf Eichmann wrote eloquently about humane treatment of animals. And so on _ad nauseam_. It's no marvel that some neo-Nazis are green and many greenies act like Nazis.

""We recognize that separating humanity from nature, from the whole of life, leads to humankind’s own destruction and to the death of nations. Only through a re-integration of humanity into the whole of nature can our people be made stronger. That is the fundamental point of the biological tasks of our age. Humankind alone is no longer the focus of thought, but rather life as a whole . . . This striving toward connectedness with the totality of life, with nature itself, a nature into which we are born, this is the deepest meaning and the true essence of National Socialist thought."

-- Ernst Lehmann, 1934

The day algore
gives up his lifestyle; the mansion, the jet planes, the global jet setting, all the perks and frills, AND sells all his shares in the companies that stand to make BILLIONS under cap and trade by buying and selling carbon bonds, then and only then MIGHT I listen to what he has to say. Until that time he's just another hypocritical liberal blow-hard.

And if he's soooooo concerned about the well-being and survival of the Polar Bear, why the heck did he eat one.

Gore's Intent
Simply put, he wants not a Cap And Trade, but something that could surely be described as a Cr@p On Trade. The leftists are determined to ruin America - and the world economy.

Considering that they have GS the Nazi collaborator doing their dirty work in the currencies, it's amusing that Fat Al uses Nazi analogies.

Gore
The title tells the story.

Paleocon "If Gore is merely unhinged
then he must be getting better." Great line

To me this all come down to someone telling me what the weather will be like 50 yrs from now when what they predict for this weekend may be wrong.

What they desereve
People who are gullible enough to take scientific advice from a divinity school drop-out deserve the results of that idiocy.

Gore's the NAZI
Narcissists have wrought havoc on mankind for thousands of years, and will continue to, as we fail to teach succeeding generations about our inherent human flaws. Hitler knew and Gore knows that it's easy to get people to believe in "The Big Lie".

1. Create the perception of a crisis.

2. Proffer your own convenient solution.

3. Lobby your solution into writ of law.

4. Profit by writ of law at the expense of the masses.

5. Repeat.

In simplest terms, the method stated above is how corporate America, public-private interests and government work to defraud the American people. The environmental movement and our politicians have learned that abridging government and corporate interests are a way around Constitutional limits on power.

If you want to save America, we must remand the rights of corporations to strict privileges, and we must abolish public-private organizations. They are a pox on individual freedom and liberty today.

When Algore
and his liberal cronies are all driving around Washington in Smart cars instead of limos and Escalades, I'll believe we need cap and trade.

CAP AND TRADE
Our nation's needless sacrifice to the global warming god of Al Gore:

The House has been to the altar. The Senate is meditating. Ritualistic, repetitive chants are heard from "mainstream" media. The masses fear to deny the god of Al Gore. The image needs to be shattered, but wise voices are silenced. Non believers are forced to bow.

The sacrifice is being prepared by day and by night, but in vain. Cap and trade 1.0 will never appease the appetite of Al Gore's god. Many more sacrifices will be required. Will the people be saved from themselves and their false worship?

Hark! A voice in the wilderness is heard! And then many voices join in a joyful chorus. The words that need to be uttered are uttered and a song is sung:
"How can anyone take Al Gore seriously"

And the people began to think for themselves and the nation was saved. Thanks be to common sense.

Meltdown
Watching Al Gore's impending irrelevency is a joy to watch.

Fight Climate Change?
Just how does one prevent the weather from changing?

He's making this whole thing harder than it needs to be. We could have weather management classes, based on anger managemment that is so popular today.

Or Al Gore himself could do a Native American dance.

Another historical reference
If Saint Al wants to compare his climate hoax to resistance to Nazism, then I would like to compare his (and the other hoax fanatics) attempts to silence the opposition to Stalin's attempt to silence his foes by imprisoning them, and even murdering them. And millions suffered both or either fate.

That's right, Al is StALin.

Why indeed?
Gore has to be one of the most colossally stupid people on the planet- the fact that ANY listen to him shows he is not the only one. It is quite telling that he refuses to debate any true scientists about this issue. I know why: Because he doesn't KNOW anything about the science. All he knows is that he has found a very easy way to make a living.
And as PT once said- there's a sucker born every minute.

Simple
Algore is taken seriously because the Republiwhigs don't fight back. We had Congress and the executive and I don't remember anyone supposedly on our side calling him on any of it.

St. Denis, you are completely right. I could introduce you to someone who converted a '66 Caddy to run on natgas. But not even Pickens could get it done. Why? It's a solution. And neither major party is interested in one.

That's why we need another party.

Algore,The Carnivore
The old puffy-eyed hypocrite is contemptible! He has gotten wealthy off the backs of the weak in mind and spirit.

He wastes more energy than most of us will use in a lifetime, then admonishes us to cut back even more, while he flits around the world in his plane getting richer and richer. Unbelievable!

Al Gore...
is an idiot!

one-world governance
Gore has said what Obama shrinks from saying. Global warming isn't the point. If the planet is cooling, the prescription is the same. The point is the surrender of US sovereignty to a world authority--the UN or something like it.

When was Gore sane?
Possibly before he ever got elected to Senate--but certainly never afterwards (as demonstrated obviously by his shill after he lost 2000 election to Jorge Bush Jr, his quite-erroneous claims about 20' sea-level rises (a)--and worst of all when a British judge stated his film should not be shown in schools whereupon he questioned the judge's authority)

(a) even staunch evolutionists have stated that the difference between sea levels of today and those of peak-glaciation during last ice-age are at most 3'--and this was with surface-glaciers as far south as Cincinnati.
(b) last-I-checked, judges DO have some authority in their own country/region--even leaders of one country have no real authority in another (POTUS has no authority in UK, India, Canada, Iran, ...)--which shows that Boaracle isn't even cognisant of LEGAL concepts (for one who has "served" in government's legislative branch, a significant lack of knowledge)

Gore/AGW are such a joke...
...that even moonbats like Hal Donkeypoo are studiously avoiding these threads.

Maybe we'll get some sarcasm posing as erudition from "Lilly." Perhaps "Tyler" will grace us with one of his trademark "Obama is, like, totally awesome" posts.

Where are all of you drones from CA, MA, FL, NJ, IL, NY, WI, or MN? Rick? Zapdoodat? Killer? Help me out here--I could use a few laughs.

Al $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Gore
It would be a losing proposition for Al to get funding along with his ties to GE and Jeff Immelt(Climate adviser). Further study of the planet and the dynamics that are ever changing will make clear there is no threat of the Earth getting warmer from CO2 emissions. Water vapor is a great temperature conveyor.Has any one heard of a "Steamy" jungle? Al Gore is a scammer for profit.

Where are they?
Where are the libs who usually infest these blogs? Are there no defenders of Al Gore? Al Gore has taken a beating here, and there have been no attempts, however illogical and emotional, to refute what is being said. Perhaps even the loony left is regretting the time wasted on hanging chads, hmmm?

rmt5
Perhaps even the trolls are beginning to notice those stealthy hands trying to reach their wallets.

As long as a lib sees OTHER people's money being stolen, no problem. But what Gore wants will impose a big tax on everyone.

3 Ironies
The 1st irony is of course his personal hypocrisy & self-interest in this matter. Do as he says, not as he does.

The 2nd irony is the fact that the ACO2ICC dogma he pushes will BRING ABOUT a worldwide totalitarian fascism. His cause is eco-Naziism. The ACO2ICC dogma will turn into leverage for every enterprise to be subject to the say-so of the ruling elite & the eco-extremists, like an Endangered Species Act on steroids.

The 3rd irony is that he himself declined to run on his own signature issue back in 2000, when he could have aired it out & drawn attention to it, gotten public awareness on it in the context of a Presidential campaign, when people think about how issues & policies will affect them personally. But, then again, maybe the last thing he WANTED was for the issue to be aired out honestly, with people thinking about how his policies would affect them personally!

Thank You GOP!
And, don't forget, all this was made possible by the GOP, excepting the few heroes like Sen. Inhofe, basically running for the tall grass & being AWOL on this issue while the Left marshalled the pop media & got them all on the reservation drinking the Kool-Aid on this. We can start with Sen. McCain in April 2008 totally giving away the candy store on this issue, GWB in 2000 not challenging Gore on it, & work down.

Gore's a stark raving nutter, that's a
... given, certifiably so -- and is, to boot, thicker than two planks!

But the 'brave Sir Winston in those ominous days of the Battle of Britain' was not the any kind of "Sir" anything.

At the time of the Battle of Britain (subsequently won by the genius of the air-cover hero of Dunkirk: the New Zealander, Air Vice Marshall [also later, "Sir"] Keith Rodney Park MC & Bar, DFC, Croix de guerre and by the skill and courage of its other British Empire and Commonwealth participants) Anglo-American of the century, genius, alcoholic, great writer and master bricklayer, Winston Leonard Spencer (Jerome-)Churchill was plain old "Mr."

Glacial Hills Area of Eastern Kansas
I live in the glacial hills area of eastern Kansas where geologists say glaciers deposited the loess and the hills. We find Minnesota granite every time we excavate.

Today is hot and humid.

Dude, where's my glacier?

Oh, that's right! The climate changes constantly. It's only natural.

The Science Isn't Settled

Or, Linda would not have broken up the Gay Penguin Marriage (GPM)....

Everyone who works at the San Francisco Zoo knows about Harry and Pepper, two male Magellanic penguins who share a burrow on Penguin Island.

They have been cohabitating for six years, even hatching a surrogate chick together and raising it as two proud gay daddies. They show all the behaviors of a heterosexual penguin couple - building a nest together, preening each others' feathers and love-tapping beaks. They just happen to be the only two dude penguins with the same address on Penguin Island.

All was domestic bliss until their next-door neighbor Fig died, widowing his mate, Linda.

"Whenever there's a single bird on the island, there's always a mad dash to find another mate or lose their burrow," said Harrison Edell, curator of birds.

In this case, it was Harry who strayed. He walked next door and bunked down with Linda in March, just in time for breeding season. They built a nest together, and Linda laid two eggs.

Al Gore
Swindler in chief? The global climate change scam is the biggest scam in history. Look at the multi-nationals that stand to prosper under its tyrannical regime. GE- multi billion dollar comp. T Bone Pickens-Billionaire. Just two of the many. We need to stop this insane power grab, or we will be living under a tyrant, and his name is not Gore.

We need global warming
The reason that so much of this planet has had drought for so long is that we’ve been in an ice age, and water needed for normal condensation has been frozen into glaciers. Glaciers are frozen water needed as condensation for barren and frozen lands of this planet, causing drought and flooding. When glaciers melt, some water runs into the oceans. Some water thaws the ground below where the glacier was, and soaks into the ground. Some water evaporates into the upper atmosphere to become normal rainfall for the whole world.

The heat of the sun, clean air, and the absence of cold from glaciers and sea ice would cause more water to evaporate from the oceans, lakes, and rivers into the upper atmosphere than there presently is; the winds would blow it evenly around the world, providing normal rainfall world-wide, even where there presently is drought and barren and frozen land, preventing flooding. Ice contracts when it melts, and would lower sea level.

The worldwide rainfall would cause long-dormant seeds in barren lands to sprout and grow into new plants: The best way to go green. The new plants would inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen, which we breathe. There would be so many new plants, that we might have to increase the amount of carbon dioxide we generate, to provide enough for all of them

If the glacier in Greenland would melt, the codfish, which fled the severe cold temperature, would return, and the land could be farmed, as it was when originally colonized by Vikings.

Many parts of the world have record amounts of snow and ice. Arctic ice is as thick as it was in the 1970’s when an ice age was predicted. Polar bears, which had thrived during the previous decade, are heading south to escape the severe cold. We’re entering another ice age in 2014. We must drill and pump our own oil, natural gas, and mine our coal as soon as possible, so they are available for use.

Where are the libs?
Hello? Come on, join in the Man-Bear-Pig bashing, its fun, I'm super serial.

This is the problem with Libs. You see, we conservatives can bash Bush or McCain, use phrases like McShamnesty, etc, but the libs just can't laugh at themselves.

Anyone with a sense of humor should be able to laugh at Algore, Liberal or Conservative, Democrat or Republican.

Al Gore
has perpetrted the biggest scam in world hustory. Bernie Madoff is small potatoes compared to Gore.

Madoff stole millions, perhaps billions from his victims. Gore will steal trillions of dollars if he is successful. He will impoverish developed nations.

Does Goldman-Sachs Pay Income Taxes?

NO! Not a freaking DIME.

Last year, it had made a $2bn PROFIT and PAID $0 in Federal Income Taxes.

Today, it reported $2bn in EARNINGS.

Goldman-Sachs will makes BILLIONS ON THE GREEN MERCHANTILE EXCHANGE IN CHICAGO TRADING CARBON CREDITS.

Al Gore has increased his net worth in Generations Investment Systems by 5,000% in the last 8 years. He is on his way to becoming the first GREEN BILLIONAIRE.

General Electric will, also, MAKE BILLION TRADING CARBON CREDITS.

Further, yesterday, Obama quietly agreed to back all of GE's debt without an audit or inspection of same. YESTERDAY, WE BECAME RESPONSIBLE FOR, AT LEAST $70bn IN GE'S DEBT.

Obama has said that Cap-n-TRADE will not diminish emissions.

Paul Krugman has said that there will not be a net increase in American jobs.

Our ECONOMY is DYING and THESE TYRANTS ARE KILLING US.

Anyone who says Gore is DUMB
is missing the point. His net worth has increased 5000% since he started this scam. He makes Madoff (and Dillinger and Capone and Gotti) look weak and stupid. No one is even seriously interested in prosecuting him. He got a Nobel and an Oscar. It's the most incredible self-enrichment program anyone ever dreamed up, and it's all LEGAL unless and until somebody proves otherwise (not gonna happen).

We should all feel honored to be padding Fat Al's bank accounts.

Gore of the tree huggers
This piece of puke, sadly from my home state, needs to retire to his sunflower-seed farm and perhaps raise peanuts from plants gifted by the peanut farmer from the late '70's. This idiot has no clue as he flies around in his polution extreme jet while leaving his energy-eating mansion spreading his gosple of "enviromental truth" that all will be made right once we move into caves, ride bicycles and drink Kool Aid while building statuesque windmill farms and solar farms that do more to polute the environment tnan carbon could ever do.
This extreme Idiot needs to crawl back into the woodwork, better still the ground, from which he came.
What an idiot! But such is the left. Thank goodness at least he's not vice president. We now enough to worry about with the present administration without this fool in office.
My suggestion to Gore, go get a real job. Perhaps shovelling garbage or cleaning cesspools.
Do something really constructive and worthwhile.

History is rife with those who worship the heavens and things of the earth. The Christian 'Religion', as you call, is full of the history of some of these nations. Even early Israel was guilty now and then (it pains me to admit it, being a Messianic Jew,)

But, as we have seen for ourselves, there are those who are so scared about the state of the planet, as well as its human-caused demise.

I remember when I was in high school, from 1968 to 1971 (yes I know I'm giving away my age), Green was also the color for our generation. However, scientists in those days were predicting a soon-to-come ICE AGE, Of course that never happened!

You see, man has always had this silly idea that humans could destroy the planet . . . we were so evil and rotten. By the way, Greenpeace was formed during the days of my illustrious high school career.

Those of in the know need to gather up all the information we can, arm ourselves with the facts, and confront others so that they don't fall prey.

genuine cactushead
Of course the royals all get crazier and/or dumber with every generation! Have you ever heard of inbreeding?

Gore is a whack job!
He is a nutcase with far too many screws loose in his head. What is so disturbing is that far too many people take his religion of global warming/climate change seriously. The global warming BS is simply about global governance, Al psychopath Gore said so himself. I don't believe for one second he cares or is concerned about the earth. If he did he would practice the BS he preaches to rest of us, but this moronic LOOOOSER doesn't. This is a way for all the nutjob dictators to control and rule the masses as they please with their global warming fear mongering. They will move to create a one world government with the outright lie of global warming and then dictate to us how to live. All the while sucking every cent from us to pay for this lie, while they live as they please.

Just look at our narcissist, lying, empty suit, socialist, dictator in chief in the oval office and his suck up minions running our government. Need I say more.

Re: Winston Churchill

History has always been my favorite subject.

Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill (30 November 1874 – 24 January 1965). Elizabeth II offered to create Churchill Duke of London, but this was declined due to the objections of his son Randolph, who would have inherited the title on his father's death. On 15 January 1965,

Churchill suffered a severe stroke that left him gravely ill. He died at his home nine days later, at age 90, on the morning of Sunday 24 January 1965, coincidentally 70 years to the day after his father's death, at age 90, on the morning of Sunday 24 January 1965, coincidentally 70 years to the day after his father's death. Though he was never dubbed the title 'Sir', he was given the honor of the title by those who deeply admired the man.

I'm indebted to you for bringing this topic to the light where all may see. I hope that this short missive has helped to clear things up.

I agree with you. Both political parties are corrupt and contemptuous of the people. They are both moving us toward one world government as rapidly as they can. I view them as traitors.

I am not sure that another party is the answer. Historically they just split the vote and do not change much. I would like to see voters focus on individual politicians. Do everything possible to remove them from office. A few heads will have to roll, but the rest will get the idea, since they are generally cowards anyway.

Republicans should bear the brunt of this effort, since they have kept the game going for so long by pretending to oppse Democratic goals. Their behaviour is more egregious.

There's hardly anything wrong...
...with Al Gore and his ilk that a few well-placed knives, bullets or bombs can't fix.

All you need is to find the will, and there's a place in Perdition for every soldier of tyranny that crosses your path, whether his weapon be guns, money or just his own deranged imagination...
