What was the biggest suprise of Election Day?



If you are the eventual Democratic nominee for President in 2008, who would you like to run against? Answer: A Republican you can beat.

Chris Matthews, of MSNBC, recently asked, “Why is the liberal media giving Huckabee a free ride?” Could the answer be as obvious as the liberal media thinks that they have war-gamed this election better than conservatives? Did they look at the Republican field and try to ascertain who would be the weakest “non-fringe” candidate?

That most of the mainstream media is going to be in the bag for the Democratic nominee, is beyond question. As that is certainly the case, a method to their literal madness would be in order.

Why is the liberal National Education Association of New Hampshire coming out for Hillary Clinton on the Democratic side and Mike Huckabee on the Republican side? What are they seeing in the former Arkansas governor that a number of Republicans are missing?

Some conservatives and Evangelicals have said that they are supporting Huckabee because he’s a “law and order” candidate or a “good” Christian. Really?

It’s difficult to be a “law and order” candidate when the grieving mother of an innocent young woman who was brutally raped and murdered, comes out against you. A mother whose daughter was killed by a man safely locked-up in prison for a previous rape until then Governor Huckabee sent the rapist a personal note of encouragement and endorsed his parole.

Tragically, another mother of a daughter alleged to have been killed by the man Huckabee helped free from prison, just had this to say: “He (Huckabee) closed a blind eye to a really dangerous man and doesn’t care because he thinks he’s invincible.” Continued...

Vote for Huck = downward spiral for USA
Someone above wrote: "If Huck is a 'gimmick' pretending to be a Christian then he has to answer to our Creator much more than his electorate, so don’t you worry."

Stunning logic there - kind of like saying "Oh, if that guy is just pretending to be a parachute expert he'll be sued if our chute fails to open."

Folks, if you want to see our once-great nation speed its way down the tubes, then vote for Huck. We need some SERIOUS FISCAL RESTRAINT AND ATTENTION TO OUR DEFENSE/IMMIGRATION ISSUE, but it won't happen with Huck, or the Democrat that he'll help usher in as they whip him in the general election.

Romney Pro Gay/Pro Abortion
1. Romney claims to be "pro-life" but established abortion as a "healthcare benefit" in his own government run healthcare plan (after his purported "pro-life conversion.") Proof Source http://www.mass.gov/Qhic/docs/cc_benefits1220_pt234.pdf Of noted he also placed a Planned Parenthood representative on the healtcare board.

2. Romney claims to oppose "gay marriage" and "did everything he could to oppose it as governor." Yet, his record shows that he was advised to ignore the Goodridge opinion by various constitutional lawyers (including Hugh Hewitt- proof source http://massresistance.blogspot.com/2007/12/hugh-hewitt-tol d-romney-to-defy-mass.html) and choose not to even though the court had no constitutional jurisdictional authority to even hear the case in the first place. When the legislature never amended or suspended the current marriage statute (Ch. 207) to accommodate "gay marriage" that should have been the end of it. But Romney had privately promised the Log Cabin GOPs not to oppose gay marriage if elected governor in 2002( proof source http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/08/us/politics/08romney.htm l?_r=3&hp=&oref=slogin&pagewanted=print&oref=slogin ) and so he chose to ignore the constitution he swore to uphold to fulfill the campaign promise to the Log Cabin GOPs and ordered his own Dept of Health to illegally change the marriage certificates from "husband" and "wife" to "partner A" and "partner B" and ordered Justices of the Peace and Town Clerks to perform same sex marriage ceremonies or resign.
