Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

“We are not at war with the Muslim faith.” So say various members of the media and government, either because they actually believe it, or because their blind adherence to political correctness dictates as much.

I know a number of Muslims in this country, and the farthest thing from their minds is joining or assisting a terrorist organization, or harming anyone. They just want to make a living, raise their children, and live in peace.

Of course, before the subway bombings of July 7, 2005 in London, or the multiple arrests in England recently of British born Muslims preparing to kill as many as 3,000 innocent people on board a number of airliners, I suspect most non-Muslims who knew the men involved in those atrocities and planned atrocities, would have said the same as me: “…they just want to live in peace.”

Talk with the British government, and at least off the record, they will tell you they have a serious and growing problem with “home grown Muslim fanatics.” Last year, after the horrific London subway bombings, a “moderate” Muslim cleric in England said he was disappointed that Muslims had carried out the bombings. Not, as it turns out, because he mourned the loss of innocent life, but rather, because in his estimation, it was a waste of time. That in twenty or thirty years, Muslims would be the majority population in England and would be able to control the government. A fate that is said to also await France and Germany.

If home grown Islamists ready to kill in the name of God, are on the rise in Europe, what then of our nation? Do we face a similar threat? Commonsense would say “yes,” while political correctness would order us to ignore the possibility.

I maintain that 99% of the population of anything as a whole, is good and just trying to do the right thing. That certainly includes the Muslim faith in the United States. I strongly believe that the overwhelming majority just want to be good citizens and good neighbors.

That said, if we accept the estimate that there are 6 million Muslim-Americans in our country, and 99% of them are law abiding citizens who are loyal to our nation, then that means that there may be – may be -- 1% who might put a twisted version of Islamic extremism before the wellbeing of their fellow Americans. When you stop to think that 1% of 6 million is 60,000 individuals, that then seems like a very intimidating one percent.

Let’s go to the good side of extreme and say that 99.9 percent of all Muslim-Americans would never turn on their own government. That would still leave a questionable 1/10th of one percent – or 6,000 potential terrorist sympathizers. Even if we carve in granite that 99.9 percent of Muslim-Americans are beyond suspicion, the left wing of our media and government will still not let us question the motives of that 1/10th of one percent. Even with the evidence of England under their eyes. Continued...

Home grown terrorists
Thank God for Islam, because now the heat is off the Puertoricans (sterotypes - due to a very small minority of criminals who think they are soldiers of their beliefs). I am a Christian but if you look at the history of Christianity and our self professed need to go to other countries and "convert" the peoples of other lands (ie.muslims) to what we think is the only way to heaven, then we are the cause of our present problems. We teach our misionaries to save those souls in the name of our religions. NOW they are doing the same thing to us and we are to blame. The problems that our misionaries are causing is evident only if you observe first hand. Look at how pushy they are here in America and then think about how others (Islam) would receive them on their turf.

Home Grown Terror; Good Manners
"Politically correct" is another name for good manners. I was taught good manners by a mother and father who cared very much about my siblings and me.

My mother and father are now in their Father's Mansion. They would look at me with disappointment if they saw my complete willingness to dispense with good manners and political correctness.

My willingness to do this can be equated with the USA's decision during WWII to drop "the bomb." Dropping the bomb was not a nice thing to do. There are people still suffering today by reason of that decision. You could say that this very serious decision indicated a complete lack of political correctness, with bad manners thrown in for good measure. You would be correct.

Dropping "the bomb" resulted from a desire on the part of my country to end, once and for all, the horrible aggressions of WWII. My country sat for a very long time with thousands of people being summarily summoned to the next world, many thought long before their time. Parts of the world were being routinely demolished.

My country had been attacked for no reason when we joined the fray of WWII. It has again been attacked. There are grim promises of more attacks. These attacks will be carried out by those who, in my opinion, are abjectly poor, irreversibly ignorant, and, like a sponge, soak up so-called teachings of sheer hatred of Americans and other free people for the promise of some nebulous never-never-land of "heaven."

Frankly, I do not like to see my country or my countrymen attacked -- particularly by cowards who dare not put on a uniform and openly declare war.

The insidiousness of Communism does not hold a candle to the insidiousness of fanatical, rabid-dog fascist Muslims. The latter represents an illness to be excised with the determination of a government who fears not what others think of our bad manners or political incorrectness.

The alternative is unimaginable.
