Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

I have nothing against friendly foreigners who want to get the heck out of their banana republic and get a legal life over here in the land of plenty. I feel your pain, hombres. Well, not really. Actually, I have no idea what kind of gruel you have to slog through while I live on a marina in Miami next to a world-class golf course.

God bless America. God bless the American Dream.

However, given the fact that you’re leaving your homeland in flippin’ droves, I’m guessin’ the place sucks like a ravenous Rosie working the fleshy remnants of a ripe mango seed.

Look, if I were a Mexican living in Mexico, I too would be braving long walks through the desert and even swimming across the Rio Grande during flood stage. Why? There are three reasons:

1. American TV is better. Have you seen the horrid Mexican stuff they torture their citizens with?

2. I’d get sick of mariachis playing their big guitars and singing through their noses at me in restaurants. I like peace and quiet when I eat an enchilada with my lady. I don’t want three chunky Julios butchering their guitars in my face, singing “Frito Bandito” at the top of their lungs while I’m masticating with my Maria in public. Comprende?

3. I want some money, honey. I’d be running north to the States through Gila monsters, prickly pear and javelinas, because after about a year of living La Vida Broka, I’d like to earn some real cash, dammit. Getting paid in drinking gourds, chickens and corn tortillas after pouring concrete for 18 hours a day in 119 degree heat would get real old muy quickly.

Yes, I would be looking across the border for the bigger, better deal for me and mi casa if I were an upright Mexican with kids to take care of. Who can blame them?

I’d also be looking to relocate in the States if I were a punk criminal/piece of Samsonite/worthless scum bucket/Darwinian holdover from anywhere in the world. Why? It’s quite obvious. America has more stuff and better stuff for the criminal’s clutches.

Look, sombrero and donkey theft in Guadalajara is only fun for the first two, maybe three times, and after that the buzz wears thin. In America, however, there are all kinds of toys to steal and plenty of people, places and things to use and abuse. In some cities if we catch you, the illegal alien, we won’t even report you or deport you. Isn’t that yummy?

However, you must be careful, you chunk of thieving, raping, killing and gang-bangin’ crud, that you stay in a “Sanctuary City.” Indeed, in order to have a long and successful life of crime here in the United States of Anarchy, you, the felonious illegal freak, have to choose with precision the places to prey upon our people. If you don’t, you could (if caught in some municipalities) get sent back to Suckville and the old donkey thieving, mariachis and Mexican soap opera schlock. And you wouldn’t want that to happen now would you, señor?

To help you in your evil and illegal existence here in the States, herewith is a partial list of craven, criminal-assisting cities to inhabit in order for you to carry out dirty deeds:

Anchorage, Alaska
Fairbanks, Alaska
Chandler, Arizona
Fresno, California
Los Angeles, California
San Diego, California
San Francisco, California
Sonoma County, California
Evanston, Illinois
Cicero, Illinois
Cambridge, Massachusetts
Orleans, Massachusetts
Portland, Maine
Baltimore, Maryland
Takoma Park, Maryland
Ann Arbor, Michigan
Minneapolis, Minnesota
Durham, North Carolina
Albuquerque, New Mexico
Aztec, New Mexico
Rio Arriba County, New Mexico
Santa Fe, New Mexico
New York, New York
Ashland, Oregon
Gaston, Oregon
Marion County, Oregon
Austin, Texas
Houston, Texas
Katy, Texas
Seattle, Washington
Madison, Wisconsin

If arrested here, never fear; the local authorities won’t even ask you where you are from and if you are legal. You will not be deported. It’s a satanic dream-come-true for you poor little darlings.

Rest assured, demoniacs, that the Mayor McCheeses who lord over the sanctuary cities promise you the following if you get busted: no deportation and outrageously cheap bail. If convicted, they guarantee you stupidly short sentences, a nice education, some soft porn on cable, three squares a day, plus Pilates classes and…and…when you get out…they’ll let you stay in their city where you can screw them and us all over again.

Here's another thought for the hard working Mehicanos. Stay at home and change the political/economic situation. Put out the effort and pay the bloody price as needed. You will be freeer(?) and prouder as a result.

Viva la REVOLUCION!!! (sic?)

Thanks for the list
of sanctuary cities, but a couple of them places are pretty nice to live in, pretty low per-capita crime, good quality of life.

I'm thinking Austin, and New York City, at least that's what I've been told.

Now Albuquerque, well...it's a dump. Take it from a New Mexican, and I apologize for being such a crap ambassador for my state. Why do you think The 'Querque is always on "Cops?"

Beyond belief

Sanctuary cities are harboring brutal TERRORIST like the MS-13 gangs.

Those cities should be held responsible for the deaths of innocent Americans.

Hey
If sanctuary cities don't care about ILLEGALS.... why not send all the criminals in MY city there.... I'm sure they can give these poor unfortunates sanctuary too.?

They can PROTECT these criminals, (they are really nice people) from US law abiding citizens in another city...

Cmon,,, you forgiving cities, why are you discriminating against the MURDERERS, RAPISTS, and THIEVES and just recognizing the ILLEGALS?

I think we need to get the ACLU involved in this thing.... JUSTICE is not being done.

Excerpt: Newsweek christened MS-13 “The Most Dangerous Gang in America,” and National Geographic Explorer upped the ante with its documentary about MS-13, “The World’s Most Dangerous Gang.”

Do it the old fasion way, earn it
I have no problem with people coming to this country to live. My sister-in-law has been here
for sixty years. She followed all the rules to
earn the right to be an American. My problem is
with people who break our laws, refuse to even try to assimatle, and spit in our faces when we
protest them being here.

The woman just deported was here for 8 years, cannot "habla" the english (apparently not her son, either) and breaks how many laws? Now her
fanny in her country (her words) and it is our
fault she can not be with poor little Saul.

Chica, if your country is so great, instead of telling your Senators they need to help the illeagls get better treatment, ask them to stop
being so corrupt, fix your own problems and maybe
your people will feel like staying in "Casa Sweet
Casa".

I love this country. Yes we have a lot of problems of our own to fix. We don't need people
coming illegally and adding to it. If you follow
the rules, learn English, work hard, and I will be the first one to welcome you, shake your hand and be proud to call you an American.

Citizenship
The Constitution states that those born here under the 'Authority' of the U.S. government are citizens. Indians were not considered to be citizens and children born here to visiting diplomats are not citizens. Why do the children of illegal immigrants receive this honor? The courts have again stepped in and taking the place of the legislature made bad law.

Many shy from forcing this issue because they fear being labeled racist or simply 'mean'. Illegal immigration is damaging to this nation. Fixing the law to deal with the problem is no more mean than injecting a child with a vaccine. The kid cries for a while but in the long run is better off.

I wonder how long it will take before
the family of one of these victims sues the city government of one of these sanctuary cities? The other question is "Where are the race baiting reverends on the NJ killings"? If the killers had been illegals from Ireland being initiated into Egan's Rats I'm sure Jessie and Al would have been out in force.

hey, trulib
Why aren't challenges to the erroneous interpretations of the 14th Amendment being filed continuously? In fact, why isn't the 14th Amendment itself being challenged?

Preferential treatment
The work-output of the mixture of spaniards and aztecs (often refered to as Mexicans) is frequently quite high though the quality is extremely low. The jobs they obtain in Colorado (& results) are a perfect example. While they are frequently outbid, Colorado's government hands them jobs regardless of the quality of their output.

charlie
Actually the SC has never directly ruled on the anchor baby intepretation.

And legally speaking, the 14th amendment could be challenged but politically it will never happen.

Bravo
I agree on sending illegals to sanctuary cities then cutting off funding to those cities that have essentially seceded from the United States by saying American law doesn't apply within their boundaries. We seldom hear of Sections 2 & 3 of Amendment 14. The specifics indicate that some things are denied Federal and certain State officials who have 'rebelled' against their oaths of office to defend the Constitution.

Maybe the rest of the Nation should consider officials of sanctuary places to be 'in rebellion' by not co-operating fully with Federal immigration officials. Judges who feel that 'being here' illegally is not part of 'crossing our borders illegally' as judges in Oregon, Minnesota and Kansas have ruled should be included.

Oklahoma, I believe, passed a law that makes co-operation with ICE mandatory. Seemingly there has been an exodus of illegals before the law becomes effective. I believe the law only tells officials to do their previously sworn or implied duty to protect their state from invaders.

Now some will say that sanctuary is a Christian duty but even law-abiding 'alien residents' were required to obey the law and no Christian or Jew was ever FORCED to subsidize 'moochers' (unless they happened to be the public officials who made the rules). Jesus referred to those officials who placed such heavy loads on the people as self-aggrandizing 'hypocrites' who were doing the will of Satan, not God.

Just as activists parse the Constitution for their own agenda, so do those who parse the Bible -- ignoring the overall INTENT of each. Both contain the principle of assimilation, not changing the rules to accommodate those who chose to set up their own culture. Even those who were accepted as alien residents did not have all the rights of citizens although there were ways for them to become citizens.

Remember, both the Constitution and Bible were instruments to UNITE under one set of clearly understood 'rules' -- not divide.

charlie
I would like to see Art. 14 section 3 enforced in particular. That would put people like Pelosi and Murtha out of a job.

A sanctuary...
Hey, if you are planning to break into our country, I have another idea for you. I admit it's never been tried, and your government and ours would find it highly unusual and probably not at all welcome. However, you might give it a try before you pack your bags. Ready? Here it is.
Get a bunch of others in the neighborhood who want to accompany you, go to the local WAlmart and buy some Mexican flags, then go outside of the Presidential Palace and walk up and down yelling "we want our rights. It is YOUR job to make this country economically able to care for its citizens. It is not the job of the US to do this. They have enough people raiding their treasury; they don't need millions more of us."
Hey, it's worth a try. Give it a shot. We need to take of our oWN people first. Now, that's really an unusual plan.

What about school campuses?
"I41say writes: Beyond Belief

Sanctuary cities are harboring brutal TERRORIST like the MS-13 gangs.

Those cities should be held responsible for the deaths of innocent Americans."

Would you also be willing to allow students and parents to sue schools where loose wing-nut anarchists go postal on campus? How about those campuses which have a "No Gun" policy? VA Tech was a shooting gallery because gun-hating panty waists declared their campus to be a "Gun-free School" The pickings were ripe for Cho.

Had Virginia Tech allowed its older students to conceal-carry their LAWFUL firearms onto campus, Cho might have had a surprise when he drew his gun.

Heartless
Giles says: "I have nothing against friendly foreigners who want to get the heck out of their banana republic and get a legal life over here in the land of plenty. I feel your pain, hombres."

Were it so. Mocking people who are economic refugees is cruel. Conservatives seems to enjoy showing the poor that they don't feel for them. In almost all moral traditions, and especially the Xtian, that's not something to be proud of.

And Giles goes on to say: "Well, not really. Actually, I have no idea what kind of gruel you have to slog through while I live on a marina in Miami next to a world-class golf course." Surprise, surprise: he actually DOESN'T feel their pain!

The rest of the article is execrable, filled with idiotic allusions to what Americans think Mexican life is like, with Mariachi bands and enchiladas. That would be like saying American life is just shopping malls and Desperate Housewives. Or maybe that's not far off.

Knee-Jerk
My God man, how did they let you into Arlington thinking that way? If things get too hot for you there come on out to Loudoun.

only 1 critical issue -->
-- stopping the ILLEGAL invasion and morphing of America into a third world barrio entitlement state. Rudy has lied lately on this critical issue-- he is Sanctuary City Amigo. Sen. Juan McQuisling was already irrelevant, having proved himself a traitor to Middle America on this essential issue-- just like Presidente Jorge Bush.

Mitt shows promise, but Huckleberry is suspect... moribund Brownback had voted for ILLEGALS earlier against the wishes of his constituents. Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo and Ron Paul have their minds right, but might not get traction. Fred T. SAYS the right things lately, but there is an odor of CFR globalist about him, and he was McQuisling's campaign manager in 2000-- that's a bad sign.

If we do not reverse the ILLEGAL alien invasion, as over 70% of Americans want us to do, we figure to lose our culture, heritage, and socio-economic well being. Time is short, and the battle is critical. Insist that the pols listen and enforce our laws first.

afriKa
God knows that whether you feel for someone should be the standard used. The liberals feel bad for all the poor and downtrodden and institute policies that work overtime to keep them in that condition. The Democrats have pushed laws built on feelings that have ruined the Black family and relegated millions to poverty and misery. Don't you FEEL good about that?

afriKa doesn't get it...
Conservatives have all sorts of feelings for those who go about improving their lives, we encourage legal immigration and lawful residence.

However, when someone jumps the line and pushes legal immigrants out of the way so that they can secure their own gain, the unfairness of such a situation demands action.

This country was founded on fairness, and equal justice for all, not just a few (no matter how deplorable their lives are).

Get the picture! I don't want my country to turn into a liberal paradise where merit is discarded and personal situation is the final barometer whereby we judge a person.

TruLib
My bunker is secure. But thanks for the invite.

Illegal border crossing is a
felony. Based on that, instead of cutting off federal funds (which there should be any anyway) what we should be doing is prosecuting the Mayor and Chief of Police for Misprison of a Felony and put them in jail.

Charlie
The US Supreme Court has ruled twice about people born within US jurisdiction: Plyler v. Doe and United States v. Wong Kim Ark. Check it out.

Plyler v. Doe, 457 U.S. 202 (1982), Id. at 693. As one early commentator noted, given the historical emphasis on geographic territoriality, bounded only, if at all, by principles of sovereignty and allegiance, no plausible distinction with respect to Fourteenth Amendment "jurisdiction" can be drawn between resident aliens whose entry into the United States was lawful, and resident aliens whose entry was unlawful. See C. Bouve, Exclusion and Expulsion of Aliens in the United States 425-427 (1912).

U.S. v. WONG KIM ARK, 169 U.S. 649 (1898), In a 6-2 decision, the Court held that under the Fourteenth Amendment, a child born in the United States of parents of foreign descent who, at the time of the child's birth are subjects of a foreign power but who have a permanent domicile and residence in the United States and are carrying on business in the United States, and are not employed in any diplomatic or official capacity under a foreign power, becomes a citizen of the United States at the time of birth.

The term "anchor baby" is of our own invention, therefore you would not see this term in Supreme Court magistrates' opinions. In essence, this term is contemptuous, of a negative connotation, and often use in a derogatory-pejorative way.

After all, the 14th Amendment of our Constitution is crystal clear. Most lame people's frustrations arise from their "jurisdiction" term understanding. Perhaps, we could also add that poor or lack of US and World History knowledge may contribute to our failures comprehending Supreme Court's interpretations of our Constitution.

FOWG
Great idea!
We who are dismayed at the level of illegal immigration and the negative impact such have on our country would do well to help Mexican citizens do that which liberals call "self-actualization."

Funny why no liberal has ever suggested this; for the past 100 years, they have been in favor of, and supported revolutions in foreign countries of common people against their repressive governments.

It would sure help us if we support a popular uprising in Mexico, and the institution of a republican form of government.
Vive la Revolucion!!

Where are bleeding heart liberals?
Illegal immigration looks to me like an issue most of us agree on. It has become more and more a serious problem and it is now time to do something about it. Even most of you glue sniffing leftists recognize the consequences of allowing this to continue.

Winning the Future
Is a huge set of solutions to preserve our traditional views, values and the American way of life.

Instead of concentrating on the leaves of a huge tall unreachable tree we want to eliminate, we should focus on the roots.

To learn how we can fix the illegal influx of aliens into our country, check the following:
"Ending the Dishonesty: The Way Forward on Border Control and Patriotic Immigration"; you may find the link here: http://www.winningthefuture.com/backpage.asp?art=2983.

What we MUST do it to go straight to the roots of the illegal immigration problem. It is after all OUR problem.

If it took over a year to deport for 2nd time an identified illegal alien, how long will it take to deport 11,999,999 remaining aliens that we do not know where they are and who they are?

Check this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=15D3ElV1Jzw A World that works and a World that fails - FedEx vs. Government Bureaucracy.

With Alberto Gonzales as Attorney General, Federal Law enforcement has become a JOKE!

Bloomberg HIRED 5 men to cross State lines and openly violate firearms laws then BOASTED of it to Gonzales.

That guy is just like Jocelyn Elders.
It's a wonder he is not passing out condoms in grade schools!

Knee-Jerk-Reactionary of Arl., VA ...

Beautiful place; I lived for 13 years in Fairfax County. I attended to several seminars and courses for Catechists at the Dioceses of Arlington. The area around St. Charles Church has a majority of Salvadorians and other Latin-American immigrants. The vast majority are not illegal aliens.

It was that contact with faithful Hispanics Catholics (BTW, most of them already American citizens) that made me change my own prejudices against this hard working and honorable people.

Contrary to what MSM wants us to believe, these people are constantly seeking education to improve their communication skills in the English Language.

On the other hand, WHEN a Church in their exercise of their wisdom and charity sees merits in an illegal alien's situation and voluntarily takes the economic burden and the huge responsibility to care for such illegal alien, THEN I believe we can work something favorable for such cases on a case-by-case basis and in light of its merits.

Now, having said the above does not means I am for open borders or illegal immigration. On the very contrary, I oppose both. Illegal is illegal. Period! What we need to do is not to waste time in trash talk and hate toward aliens. BETTER than doing this wasteful activity is to figure out what causes the immigration problem and then to go straight at the causes. Instead of grabbing the tree by its leaves, dig out its roots and destroy them.

Check this approach at securing our borders and controlling illegal immigration: "Ending the Dishonesty: The Way Forward on Border Control and Patriotic Immigration", find the link here: http://www.winningthefuture.com/backpage.asp?art=2977.

The work-output of the mixture of Spaniards and Aztecs (often referred to as Mexicans) is frequently quite high though the quality is extremely low. ""
-------------------------------------------------
You have made two statements, inadvertently.

The first: is rather inadequate. Very few, on a percentage basis, Mexicans have Aztec (Mexica) blood. The Mexicas, correct name for Aztecs, were and are only a small part of the indigenous population. Most have blood from other ancient nationalities who were often beat up on and treated poorly by the Mexicas. As you can see the name Mexica gave the name to the modern country of Mexico.

The word Chicano is actually a mis pronounced word. The Mexicas were called Mexicanos by the Spanish, and then shortened to Xicano, and today is pronounced Chicano instead of Shicano. The ancient X was sounded as we say the SH.

Point two. Quality of work versus quantity of work is highly accurate and is due to the way they work in Mexico. Mexicans do not do very much quality work. It is not expected of them nor are they taught quality anything. There are individual exceptions, but poor quality is the rule and has during the twentieth century been a trademark of the country. The revolution and 72 years of rule by the one party PRI, is the reason for same. It is not genetic, but rather cultural custom established after the revolution.

How can you identify who they are and where they are?

Watch this video of a factual (not theory) system proposal answering these questions: http://youtube.com/watch?v=15D3ElV1Jzw. A World that works contrasted to a World that fails: FedEx vs. Government Bureaucracy --> it is Newt Gingrich's example of how we can utilize existing technologies to deal with finding illegals and taking cared of them.

No one objects to immigrants who come here lawfully to become Americans, learn our language, obey our laws and help us build a better America.

If America need more immigrants they should be brought in legally so we know who they are, they can demand a fair wage, earn and pay for the infrastructure they use.

Someone willing to begin life in America by violating our laws is not welcome.

Paco - Tranquilo - Francesco Capella
Did you read what I posted to you blog just a day or two ago. Take to heart what I am saying.

If you are a priest you must be a hard charger at mass. I know you immigrated to this country. It is obvious from your writing. I commend you for a responsible position, and taking Newt Gingrich as an example of how to cure our many problems.

I will now say in English what I wrote you in Spanish. It is not best that you, an immigrant, take to the airwaves on the subject of immigration, particularly since your attach and language are strong. You must be Hll fire and brimstone at confession. Are you a priest.??.

Do you think that I or you could voice off in public about politics, especially immigration, in Mexico.??. Forget it. It is against the law to begin with. Next the publi8c would be up in arms in criticism, and the Mexican government would have no choice but to kick your or my *ss out of the country.

So cool it and find another worthy subject to discuss. Friendly words of advice.

Correction
your attack and language are strong.

Paco

Your link to Newt is excellent, and he is an excellent person and a VERY fine speaker.

You need to be aware that most posters here already know and agree with most of Newt's points. His points are logical to the normal conservative mind. Experience teaches much more than do schools or books. As we say in Spanish: "The devil knows more because he's old than because he's the devil."

Now there are a few less adequate posters who are of the conservative persuasion. Just ignore and hope they will pick up on the rest of the posters. And especially ignore the libs who are race baiters, and rarely have anything to say that would interest most of us.

Paco
Your reading of both cases is erronious. In Phyler the court was ruling on the necessity of Texas to educate illegals, not the validity of children born to illegals. In Kim the court ruled on the citizenship of children of LEGAL immigrants. The only discussion of children born to illegals is in a footnote in Phyler and it carries no weight.

And it took two years to deport this woman because ICE let it take two years. They could have entered that church and grabbed her at any time. That was a political decision, not a legal one.

Myopine
I agree, Gonzales should go, but after the congress is snubbed in their investigations.

Elvira Arellano
Elvira Arellano was just interviewed for the umptenth time in Mexico on CNN 10, which is Spanish language. She claims she doesn't intend to again cross into the U.S., and was on her best behavior. I only got the last five minutes so am not aware of all she might have said. Said her son would come visit her in Mexico, but that he would continue to live in the U.S.

As so many others have said, I can't imagine living with out your own child, especially a mother. The boy could live in Mexico, and would still be, under present rules, a citizen of the U.S.A. She fell into the trap of so many others and crossed the border "illegally". Enough said.

ONLY ONE THING WITH GILES' COLUMN
That one thing: unfortunately the illegal aliens will not be reading it.

It would be difficult to believe that many of the illegals' peers will be reading it to them, either.

I do appreciate having that list of sanctuary cities/states. Perhaps we could start a writing campaign to our newspapers and to our Washington lawmakers and provide that list to them.

Is it not illegal to give comfort to criminals? If I knew a murderer and let him have the run of my house in his endeavor to escape detection by law enforcement, I believe I could be charged with a crime. So why does this not apply to cities and states? Are they somehow exempt from federal laws -- or their own laws, for that matter?

Ann Coulter's column, "1 down, 9,999,999 to go," was perfect in pointing up the Administration's attitude toward our illegal alien problem. It (the Administration) would like American citizens to applaud their strict law-abiding views in finally, at long last, sending one illegal alien back where she belongs. But they want sympathy because they're pretty new at this game and have some kinks to work out. Yes, I'll give them sympathy, all right.

Now if the Administration could just start gathering up a few murdering, rampaging, drunk-driving killers, child molesters, child killers, etc., I would begin to believe they mean what they say. However, I believe they want us to be satisfied now with that one. Think again, y'all.

SHOULD HAVE BEEN "ONE THING WRONG"
WITH GILES' COLUMN.

And I'm so careful, too. I'll try harder next time.

Great Column
A report out of Tulsa is that illegals are leaving by tens of thousands, because of the new law going into effect Nov. 1st. Sad thing is they are heading to sancturary cities.

Citizenship
Unless someone can quote an actual Supreme Court ruling, no higher court has agreed that children born to aliens, legal or illegal, are automatically granted citizenship upon their 18th birthday. But, they are not citizens until they are 18 regardless.
While a judge may have interpreted the constitution to state the kids are citizens, if this were challenged in higher courts today & despite the 10's of millions open borders advocates may spend to push it through, I feel the courts upon ruling on the law & the wording of the 14th, would say the kid is not a citizen unless Mom or dad are already.
As the child of an illegal, if Dad is not legal, I feel the kid should not become a citizen under any circumstances, unless he applies.
While some will attack this, the truth is many come & have a child so they can use it to claim a family connection. Its an old trick & to say it is not done or only done rarely is disingenuous at the least!
Unless & until we can stem the tide of illegals, there is no honest way of knowing if we really do need those illegals here. Could that mean higher prices in the market... sure. So what?
The truth is, based on sound data from Heritage Foundation & others, illegals do cost American taxpayers. How much & what effect reducing those costs by reducing illegals in America, cannot be properly determined until the larger portion of the existing crowd, leaves.
The biggest issue is, we must secure our borders. If that is offensive then I suggest Mexico fix its own problems, so many millions stop trying to escape the gwat conditions that drive them out in the first place. America cannot, and should not be expected, to bail out another country & problems its own system has created & perhaps even encouraged.
Americans are threatened by many outside this nation. Every nation has that right & it is the first responsibility of the government of each nation.

Knee-Jerk-Reactionary in Arlington, VA :
I agree with you that someone at VT should have been in possession of a legal weapon for protection.

Cho should have been expelled from VT before anyone was killed (the warning signs were there); and the school knew that murders had been committed and the killer had not been caught, but it took two hours before they notified the staff and the other students.

In my opinion the school is responsible, so I think the families of the victims have every right to sue if they choose.

And in the sanctuary city of Newark, New Jersey, America is left with the illegal alien, cold-blooded killers of more young college students. Two of the killers had bragged to a classmate about being a part of the MS-13 gang.

The city of Newark should be held responsible, too. I hope the killers don't get a liberal judge and jury.

If what you wrote in response to Paco (re: Phyler and Kim cases) is true.....WHY ARE "WE THE PEOPLE" ALLOWING THIS TO HAPPEN ??
I'm new to the political/history world. 9/11 opened my eyes and I started listening to talk radio. Before, I just went about my simple life thinking "those in Washington" were FOR the good of AMERICA. Boy was I wrong. Thanks to all here (Townhall)who are educating me !
I am afraid for our country's future. I am also prepared to fight to preserve our way of life but I live just outside of Chicago, another sanctuary city. The land of corruption...oops...Lincoln...

Rubicon

Excellent piece. Truly well written.

As for Ms. Arellano, it does appear she had in mind an anchor child. Whether she does or doesn't know who the father is, I doubt that she would ever say. The father is almost surely an illegal also.

Sanctuary cities
I was blown away by the list of sanctuary cities. Denver is a sanctuary city, and it's not even on the list! Makes me wonder how many more sanctuary cities are out there.

The immigration department has set up rules via regulation that interpret it to mean that any child born in the U.S. is a citizen, regardless of the status of the mother, except for the children of foreign diplomats. Now isn't that a rub, if a Mexican diplomat, in the U.S. legally, has a child in the U.S. it is not a citizen but if a Mexican illegal has a child it is.

The reason we are "putting up with it" is that in order to stop it someone has to challenge them in court. In order to do that you first have to "be harmed" by the action in order to have standing. The courts have ruled in the past that simply having your tax money thrown away is not "harm" per se. Once you have harm then you have to go through the entire process from an initial federal filing through the appeals process. This takes a great deal of money. The people with money in this case are on the other side.

One other avenue that has not been explored would have been to file a "writ of mandumus" to force the Immigration Dept to enforce the law, but it loooks like now they are making an effort. That, however, doesn't stop the anchor baby mess.

Sanctuary...
Giles gets paid to write tripe such as this article?! Get a real journalist.

A good idea
As I've said before on other sites, the people who are victims of criminal illegal aliens should bring a lawsuit against their elected officials for not doing the job that they swore under oath to do.

Maybe if some of these sleeze bag politicians were held accountable for their criminal behavior we could put an end to this insanity.

Well, Gonzales has resigned. Will the investigations continue? Probably. This was another reason to keep him, even as worthless as he was. As long as they were investigating him, it kept them occupied and left the rest alone.

Speaking of Demonic possession ...
anybody who thinks American TV is "better" than anything should be under suspicion.

Sanctuary cities/States
Can have their minds changed very easily if we could get some politicians with the gonads to just do it.
When some states had the legal drinking age at 18 the threat of witholding of federal highway funds got everyone on the same page muy pronto!
The revocation of tax free status of any church that offers sanctuary to Illegals would put an end to this law breaking to!

Vic
Thank you for the enlightenment. The anchor babies would be "solved" if their illegal parents were escorted back to their country of origin.
I hear the cry "Don't split up the families", but as is the case with Ms. Arellano who in broken english didn't want to be separated from her(anchor)son, funny thing....he is still here. What is wrong with HER country that she can't take him with her to her HOME.
Also, all the energy "they" put in demanding that OUR country take care of them should be aimed at THEIR own homelands.
With the spineless career politicians (obviously NOT our representatives) in Washington, I do not see much change in our future. Very frustrating...

Frogs
Like an army of frogs making noise, the corrupt media is spewing venom all over the earth. The Bible does have this to say, before Armageddon:
(“Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.”)
Abortion, homosexual marriage, “political correctness” above religion (Christian only), monopoly of Darwinism, anti-America, appeasement to the Regime and terrorism, and etc. are not real cultural wars but spiritual wars waged against Christianity by the “frogs” and the agents of the Antichrist.

“It is a very insightful and well written article”, said Judi McLeod.

Just a thought
It's all well and good to take a stand against illegal immigration--insuring border integrity and heading off the entry of criminal elements like MS-13 that prey on our metro areas--but there is one thing *some* of you are forgetting. In encouraging illegals to NOT come here, your word choices could use some work---and by that, I mean some of these comments here have been written in a stereotypical "Spanglish" manner that some think may be funny or possibly getting through to illegal aliens. You're wrong--it's neither funny NOR is it getting through to illegals. If you were/are black, would you want some middle-aged white guy coming up to you and adopting a form of slang that he thinks black people use? How about if you were Asian? Would you want that same guy coming up to you and using a stereotypical accent where "R" becomes "L" and "E" at the end of a word is over-pronounced? If I was Hispanic, at a certain point, that sort of garbage would wear on my nerves (and make me less likely to vote for a politician or party that thinks the best way to convey a message is to use a crude stereotype lingo--you say "Learn English...well, use proper English in your arguments FIRST)....and I am guessing the same would apply to some of you in the same situation. If you wouldn't want it slung at you, why do some of you (including you, Giles) want to sling that at someone else? I would like to think that most of you are reasoned and intelligent people who know how to communicate your ideas and passions without falling back on crude, juvenile stereotypes. Defend your country, but don't be an jerk about it.

Just my 2 cents (let your flaming begin....)
