Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

On April 2, 2009, the work of July 4, 1776 was nullified at the meeting of the G-20 in London. The joint communiqué essentially announces a global economic union with uniform regulations and bylaws for all nations, including the United States. Henceforth, our SEC, Commodities Trading Commission, Federal Reserve Board and other regulators will have to march to the beat of drums pounded by the Financial Stability Board (FSB), a body of central bankers from each of the G-20 states and the European Union.

The mandate conferred on the FSB is remarkable for its scope and open-endedness. It is to set a "framework of internationally agreed high standards that a global financial system requires." These standards are to include the extension of "regulation and oversight to all systemically important financial institutions, instruments, and markets...[including] systemically important hedge funds."

Note the key word: "all." If the FSB, in its international wisdom, considers an institution or company "systemically important", it may regulate and over see it. This provision extends and internationalizes the proposals of the Obama Administration to regulate all firms, in whatever sector of the economy that it deems to be "too big to fail."

The FSB is also charged with "implementing...tough new principles on pay and compensation and to support sustainable compensation schemes and the corporate social responsibility of all firms."

That means that the FSB will regulate how much executives are to be paid and will enforce its idea of corporate social responsibility at "all firms."

The head of the Financial Stability Forum, the precursor to the new FSB, is Mario Draghi, Italy's central bank president. In a speech on February 21, 2009, he gave us clues to his thinking. He noted that "the progress we have made in revising the global regulatory framework...would have been unthinkable just months ago."

He said that "every financial institution capable of creating systemic risk will be subject to supervision." He adds that "it is envisaged that, at international level, the governance of financial institutions, executive compensation, and the special duties of intermediaries to protect retail investors will be subject to explicit supervision."

In remarks right before the London conference, Draghi said that while "I don't see the FSF [now the FSB] as a global regulator at the present time...it should be a standard setter that coordinates national agencies."

This "coordination of national agencies" and the "setting" of "standards" is an explicit statement of the mandate the FSB will have over our national regulatory agencies.

Obama, perhaps feeling guilty for the US role in triggering the international crisis, has, indeed, given away the store. Now we may no longer look to presidential appointees, confirmed by the Senate, to make policy for our economy. These decisions will be made internationally.

And Europe will dominate them. The FSF and, presumably, the FSB, is now composed of the central bankers of Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States plus representatives of the World Bank, the European Union, the IMF, and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Europe, in other words, has six of the twelve national members. The G-20 will enlarge the FSB to include all its member nations, but the pro-European bias will be clear. The United States, with a GDP three times that of the next largest G-20 member (Japan), will have one vote. So will Italy.

The Europeans have been trying to get their hands on our financial system for decades. It is essential to them that they rein in American free enterprise so that their socialist heaven will not be polluted by vices such as the profit motive. Now, with President Obama's approval, they have done it.

Of course I have no idea what you have read and my comments are always directed at what has been posted on TH. So, based on that and that alone, you are a hypocrite. I don’t think it’s intentional. I believe it to be the product of making such brash statements without taking time to think them through carefully.

Malkin's second book, In Defense of Internment: The Case for "Racial Profiling" in World War II and the War on Terror, was released in August 2004. This book was widely advertised on TH and was mentioned on several columns of Malkin’s.

I don’t doubt that you love America. I really don’t; but it’s not “old-fashioned” love. It’s dysfunctional love, the kind that hurts in the long run.

Not really zeal, its old fashioned
Love of America

Europe vs. America
{Germany edges out Arkansas in per capita GDP

The growing split between the U.S. and Europe has been much in the news, mostly on foreign policy. But less well understood is the gap in economic growth and standards of living. Now comes a European report that puts the American advantage in surprisingly stark relief.

The study, "The EU vs. USA," was done by a pair of economists--Fredrik Bergstrom and Robert Gidehag--for the Swedish think tank Timbro. It found that if Europe were part of the U.S., only tiny Luxembourg could rival the richest of the 50 American states in gross domestic product per capita. Most European countries would rank below the U.S. average, as the chart below shows.

But what about equality? Well, the percentage of Americans living below the poverty line has dropped to 12% from 22% since 1959. In 1999, 25% of American households were considered "low income," meaning they had an annual income of less than $25,000. If Sweden--the very model of a modern welfare state--were judged by the same standard, about 40% of its households would be considered low-income.

We don't report this with any nationalist glee. The world needs a prosperous, growing Europe, and its relative economic decline is one reason for growing EU-American tension. A poorer Europe lacks the wealth to invest in defense, a fact that in turn affects the willingness of Europeans to join America in confronting global security threats. But at least all of this is a warning to U.S. politicians who want this country to go down the same welfare-state road to decline. }

Here's a bulletin for you: it's no longer 1948. Europe is neither war-torn nor in chaos. Have you been there lately? Their cities are in better shape than ours. Their public transportation and their highways put ours to shame. They build better cars than we do. Their children are better-educated than ours. All of their citizens can go to the doctor when sick and are not kept away by lack of money. Their mentally ill don't have to sleep in the park. Are you perhaps thinking of the days right after World War II when we led the world? That's over. We don't lead it now. And when we tell other countries "Give, give, say 'Uncle'---you must acknowledge us as BEST or we will bust your a**" we accomplish exactly nothing toward helping the world run more smoothly---with liberty and justice for all.

Is Anyone Surprised?
Our Constitution and freedoms have been under assault for decades by the politicians. First, we must overcome our denial. The socialist Democrats and statists have won. And the liberal republicans sold us out years ago. They have implemented entitlements and government programs that no recipient is willing to forego, plus they have instintively taught their constituents a life of dependency.

They have successfully lifted 50% of the population from the federal income tax burden while this very same percentage uses these government services and benefits. The bottom half of earners can now direct money to themselves from the Treasury and from their neighbors' pockets using the power of the government through their vote. They have successfully propagandized two generations of Americans via government education and a leftist takeover of higher education and academia. We have a news media and press that has constitutionally granted powers to be the watchful eye for the people. We now recognize that the press is now the guardian and protector of the government and its agenda. They have successfully taken over the financial sector and auto industry of our economy after decades of a slow intrusion into the private sector. Next it will be a takeover of the healthcare and energy industries. And now throughout this G-20 Summit we have learned that Obama plans to sell out our economic sovereignty to a Central European Regulatory Committee and a "one world" currency.

But the questions remain...why are all of you in disbelief? Why are you so surprised?

Hosquatch
I love that one! I simple can’t get enough of it. You know, they say his presidency was conceived years and years ago by a liberal group in NYC that uses human fetuses in their ungodly rituals. Their ultimate goal is to create a nation of homosexual abortionists who breed indiscriminately to provide an endless supply of babies to consume. Their one fear is that someone, somewhere, someday may find out and stop them; but they think they’re safe because that one person will have to fight and die is necessary. Just think, you could be that man. I suggest you get to Hawaii and storm the office of records; or go to NYC and infiltrate their organization.

Oh, and about Ohio, didn’t you know that ACORN had to do that to counter the efforts by Diebold and the GOP to keep the poor black man down?

H2 Engineer
When put in those terms, your point is much more reasonable. And I admit that I also feel some anxieties over the situation. But I have heard too many doomsday scenarios to believe that this is the end. Furthermore, our history has been a constant struggle between the forces socialism and capitalism. Each side goes through a period of dominance, but it is never permanent. It is reasonable to argue that so much damage is going to be done that we may never recover, but I believe that economic power always wins in the end. Of course, my confidence is grounded in the fact that I’m certain that none of the gun grabbing, concentration camp, foreign army things will ever happen.

Bye-Bye Constitution!
We already have smoke and mirrors and all kinds of malfeasance in the banking system as it stands now and instead of ferreting out the root causes with maximum transparency and rebuilding our fallen house of cards we are going to add another very opaque layer while hiding the rot and having international dictates in violation of our sovereignty. Is anyone getting hot under the collar, yet?!? It's about time!!!

The tea party we need is one in which 600,000 people march on DC, take over the WH and the Capitol, remove the liberals from the govt, and throw them in the river.

ginflwrs #14: Impeaching Obamba won't happen. Democ-rats control the House and won't impeach. Democ-rats control the senate and wouldn't convict.

And regarding the election...
And, MikeR, the rampant illegal activities of ACORN in Ohio and many other states during the election, the voting by people illegally registered, the apparently illegal activities of the Attorney General of Ohio to ensure Obama's victory there, all add up to the conclusion that Obama did NOT win a fair election. He is illegitimate.

It's coming to a head...
MikeR, the Usurper you protect by your position does not care a whit about the Constitution you claim to honor. By steadfastly refusing to prove his eligibility to occupy the presidency, and by spending nearly $1 million to date to prevent his birth certificate and personal records from becoming public, Obama has essentially admitted that he is not a natural born US citizen. I will NEVER accept him as my president for that reason. Also, his shameful condemnation of our nation while on foreign soil, his bowing in obeisance to the Muslim Saudi king, his giving of $900 million of US taxpayer money to the terrorist HAMAS regime in Gaza prove to me that Obama is an enemy of the United States and his illegal occupation of the White House and Oval Office is no less than a coup d'etat against the United States of America! Every move that Obama has made since he took over the White House has been a form of defecation on our flag and our Constitution.

Count me in as one of those willing to fight and die, if necessary, to preserve our country as we have known it. I believe this will come to a head soon. And, I believe there are MILLIONS of true Americans out there who are not willing to swallow the treason of Frank, Dodd, Reid, Murtha, Pelosi, Slaughter and Obama.
All in due course. All in due course...

Mike - this last and I'll hush -
“Shut that city down; show up in force and put up with nothing from anyone that gets in the way.”

MLK showed the value of taking a stand and going where the issues are to do so. Politicians have to be shown some things, in as literal a manner as possible. "Putting up with nothing, from anyone that gets in the way", means "forcing" the powers that be to deal with you, rather than ignore you. Your automatic assumption of my advocating violence is in error. 56 million Americans voted against Obama and many that voted for him, now regret it. Too late - I know.

As far as the ballot box is concerned, the U.S. has serious issues with voter fraud and election illegalities. On the part of both Parties. If what Joseph Stalin wrote, is not a truth today in the U.S., it could very well become an absolute truth if corrective action is not taken, by the Citizenry. History tells us the system won't fix itself.

"What you are suggesting goes against the standards of today".

Today there are no standards, other than what Politicians make up to further their own agendas. You believe that the systems "checks and balances" will in time resolve the issues; for decades those "checks and balances" have been intentionally ignored and by-passed. At what point is the system so broken that it needs tearing down and re-building, based on the precepts of the U.S. Constitution??
I have no concise answer for that question either. If the Political powers in D.C. can't conceive of such an extremity - why would they ever worry about what Mike or Dwain or anyone else thinks about what they do??
Mike - there are no masses of your rhetorical "heros" dreaming of "retribution", loose in America; just a great lot of worried folks, that see the U.S. Constitution being thrown out and replaced by Marxist Fascist dogma. That's a problem that has to be addressed, somehow.

Yes, I oppose Roe v Wade on several levels.

Yes, I oppose TARP and find the current trend alarming.

No, I don’t think people should own nuclear, chemical or biological weapons. I also think that cannons, mortars, rockets and SPG should be stored and used in very specific locations. Otherwise, you can fill your house from floor to ceiling with rifles and pistols as fear as I’m concerned.

Yes, the entire system was designed to provide limits and controls. I think that goes to the heart of original intent and has been sorely lacking for a long time.

And yes, it is very easy to say I love the Constitution more than anyone who suggests the use of force because they don’t like the election results. Those folks are one of the reasons that someone like Obama could actually win. Conservatism will remain crippled as long as we accept extremists the way liberals do.

Wake Up America
Before it is to late we need to take a stand to stop this worthless Gov't from destroying what so many have sacrificed to give us the rights and freedoms we have today. They are slowly dismantling our rights behind our backs.I do not believe our Law Enforcement and Military are going to back what they are doing to America. We need to MARCH on Washington and STOP these worthless idiots from destroying our future. I'm not willing to sell my soul out to Europe or the Muslim World. There are so many of us that have seen war, and I think America is worth fighting for , no matter the out come. It is time AMERICAN'S to take a stand for our FUTURE.

Yes, I know that. I use the term Democracy in a generic manner. Please overlook my lazy word usage.

“but are not prepared to take action should it becomes a necessity”

“If the Patriots in America intend to take America back - that is precisely what they will have to do”

“Shut that city down; show up in force and put up with nothing from anyone that gets in the way.”

The first two quotes are ambiguous on their own, but not when combined with the third; or are you now saying that you will actually put up with some things from certain people who get in the way? You can’t be speaking of any constituency because that is who elected the government.

No, I don’t argue with children, but childish excuses are very popular by self declared “Liberals”, “conservatives” and “patriots”. If you find that odd, why did you use such reasoning?

No, I never said that election tampering is good. I will say now for the record that it is bad. All I was doing is acknowledging the reality that it exists. You wrote,

“Joseph Stalin said, "Those that cast the votes decide nothing. Those that count the votes decide everything." That is pretty much where the U.S. is today, Mike.”

That means you are saying that the election results were falsified. While I acknowledge irregularities, I say that Obama won the election fairly.

As for the Constitution, it was duly ratified by the established system of the day. That is the key point. What you are suggesting goes against the standards of today.

As for the actual situation, I find it very alarming but believe that our inherent checks and balances will work in time to resolve the matter, without force. Obama does have a record against owning fire arms, but I don’t. I have always supported their use and ownership. You somehow think I don’t yet accuse me of obfuscation. All I have done is to question what you actually wrote. All you have done is the opposite. Do you think you can bring yourself to actually support what you write or counter what I wrote?

MikeR
You love the Constitution?

Then you would agree that Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided, and that nowhere in the Constitution is this "right to privacy" ever enumerated. Therefore, at least on the federal level, it does not exist (Amendment X). If you follow the Constitution, all abortion issues must be decided at the state level.

Then you would agree that Obama and Congress have no authority over GM or any other private enterprise, that the TARP bailout and the stimulus programs are unconstitutional. If you disagree, please show me where in the Constitution these powers are given to the federal government. And before you trot out the general welfare argument and commerce clause argument, I encourage you to study James Madison, the Father of the Constitution, and see HIS comments on the topic.

And obviously you oppose any efforts by the federal government to regulate guns and ammunition, right?

And the entire purpose of the Constitution is to limit the size, scope, and power of the federal government...something that hasn't happened in years.

I could go on and on, but you get the idea. It's easy to say "I love the Constitition more than you!" The test comes when we actually have to force the government to abide by it.

It's a good thing I'm only...
talking to myself here, 'cause I didn't read that one either. I think I'll just give up for today.

MikeR
Let me again say that Saul Alinsky would be proud of you. You obfuscate and misdirect as if born to it. If you don't want to be identified with Alinsky - quit using his methods in your posts.
You accuse me of recommending force to "overthrow" the government. Please quote that post. What I did recommend is ensuring that Politicians FEAR the wrath of their constituancy. Could your assumption of violence betray your personal bias in that direction?

As far as children go - your problem is that you are apparently accustomed to arguing with children. I base my concern that Obama is a Gun-Grabber on his history. With Politicians, it isn't what they say - it is what they do and have done in the past. Check his voting record, Mike.

The Election Question - is the fact that there is "hanky panky" in all elections is ok with you? I don't think rigged elections or hanky panky is ok. Let's see if you can twist that statement around somehow or other.

"We the Peopl" & a Political minority - 5% to 15% of the Colonialists forced the establishment of the U.S. Constitution, that you claim to so support. Was that minority of the original "We the People", wrong to insist that the Constitution be established?? If I am in some "minority", it is a minority that believes that the U.S. Constitution should be the Law of the Land. Not anyones interpretations of the Constitution; just the Constitution. Obama as the head of GM or a bunch of commercial Banks is Fascism; not a Constitutional Republic. How do you square that with your supposed love of the Constitution, Mike.
Go back to argueing with your children, you probably win those.

Dwain Cleveland

Sorry.
My Reply #33 should have read ...to "provide" life support...

I gotta read these this darn things BEFORE I hit send!

MikeR:
This is not a democracy. Look it up.

talent scout:
Should we obey orders intended to force one human being to life support for another human being?

H2 Engineer
No, what is apparent is that the Constitution means more to me than to you since you are the one who recommends force to overthrow the elected government. You see, that expression “We the People” means more than just you and the folks who agree with you. It means all of us.

Now, are you saying the election was rigged? There is a certain amount of hanky-panky in every election since Washington’s, but the outcome was legitimate. This argument is most often raised by folks who think they represent the majority, the “real” people or some other special group; but who in fact live in denial that they are the minority.

No, your reasoning is unbalanced by your emotions, one of which may be paranoia. For example, you don’t actually answer my charge; you just claim that everybody else is doing it too. I never accepted that form my children. I certainly won’t accept it from a man who claims to be a patriot. Furthermore, you go on to accuse me of a number of things that have absolutely no connection with my comment to you or any other comment I’ve ever made. This shows how reality is rejected to form the conclusion that any who question you are bad. On these grounds, why should I take your accusation about the president any more seriously than the one of being the Antichrist?

No, I see no evidence that the Constitution means anything to you. All you have addressed is some type of self-righteous fantasy where you get to play the hero.

WHAT'S NEXT UP OBAMA'S SLEEVE?
When Obama said at G-20 that "Europe plays a leading role in the world," which it doesn't since it's America who leads, he meant that the EU is more enlightened than the United States and that we should subordinate ourselves to them as a model for America's future and follow their lead in everything. But this is only the beginning. What's next up Obama's sleeve? What's the next stage of his unfolding scheme? Can anybody guess? Soon he'll be proposing that America join the EU as part of his masterplan to form the United Socialist States of Humanity with himself as Global Community Organizer in Chief; or Sultan Barack Hussein the 1st, the spiritual and political head of the Progressive World Caliphate.

Assume what you want. I'm just telling you, the tea parties will make you feel good, but will accomplish little. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et.al., don't give a d--n about what you think. There's nothing WRONG with having the tea parties...just be aware that Washington doesn't care.

SEZ SCOTTK:
"If so... most here will put you on permanent ignore."

"Do not under-estimate how America now feels."

SEZ ME:
"Feeling" is the problem. We need to stop "feeling" and start thinking. We need to stop "feeling" and start strategizing. We need to stop "feeling" and start acting...intelligently, thoughtfully, purposefully, and forcefully.

The liberals keep winning because they DO NOT STOP WORKING for their goals. The conservatives have a tea party, go home, and post on TH. We won't win until we decide to refuse to lose, whatever that requires.

Tax Day Tea Party
While the runaway spending and the socialist agenda of the Obama administration is certainly a causal factor, as was the policies of the Bush administration, the overarching demand is a return to constitutional government.

It's not just about taxes. It's about spending, short cutting the legislative process, government operating outside the boundaries of the enumerated powers, pick an article, the congress is violating it. They passed a Bill of Attainder!

This is the beginning of the people versus their government and as a first step needs the support of democrat and republican alike.

It's time to stand up and be counted. Leadership will emerge as time goes by but right now you need to get off the couch and hit the streets.

Hope and Change
One thing that Obummer is definitely fulfilling is his main campaign promise. I see the change, big time. And I have a lot of hope, that I wasn't expecting to have. I hope the hell he comes to his senses before he ruins this country. I guess I should have expected that, but I just can't believe anyone could be that stupid. I just can't figure out where Bill O'reilly gets the idea he is intelligent.

I know that we are going to have to make some big changes in our life for my family to deal with the stupid sh** he is doing. And I tell you, Belize or Brazil is looking better every day. The Bahamas sounds nice, but I didn't particularly like it that much when we were there. But they don't have an income tax, but they do have hurricanes.

MikeR
The U.S. Constitution has been abrogated, trampled and ignored for years, by all flavors of Politician. re: The Supreme Court has ruled several times that the Federal Tax Laws don't apply to 99% of the American public. Those SCOTUS rulings haven't stopped the IRS from persecuting American citizens, regardless of Constitutional Law. People like you don't have a problem with that sort of activity, primarily because you only reference the U.S. Constitution for specific, rhetorical purposes. Saul Alinsky would be proud of you.
As far a Obama and his supernatural powers - that's pretty funny. Obama is simply a Chicago cesspool politician with a silver tongue and friends with extremely deep pockets. Obama has the added cachet of being a Marxist, a Globalist and a Jihadist sympathizer; Barry has it all doesn't he.
The Ballot Box - Joseph Stalin said, "Those that cast the votes decide nothing. Those that count the votes decide everything." That is pretty much where the U.S. is today, Mike.
As far as disarming America; you, he and the U.N. are welcome to try.
The U.S. Constitution means nothing to Obama, nor apparently to you. To some of us it means a great deal.

Why is it that it the “Patriots in America” that want to overtly trample on the Constitution, nullify the election and use force to gain what they can’t achieve with the ballot box? I like the notion of Obama using the UN to disarm us. That‘s a much more realistic paranoia than Obama as the Antichrist who will use his supernatural powers to lead us to Armageddon.

What will it take??
talent scout & kbTexan have nailed the specifics of what it it will take to keep America a free nation. If you are content to b*tch & moan & wail about the unlawfull actions of the Obama Socialists; but are not prepared to take action should it becomes a neccessity, you are part of the problem.

If the Patriots in America intend to take America back - that is precisely what they will have to do. Put overwhelming numbers of feet on the ground in Washington; on a regular basis. Shut that city down; show up in force and put up with nothing from anyone that gets in the way.

Until such time as the Politicians again FEAR their Constituancy; the Politicians wil continue to do as they as please. Time is short. What happens when Obama asks the U.N to help him disarm America?? Not gonna happen. Hide and watch.

Last year you were saying the U.S. Government could never become the Fascist ruler of privately owned industry and banks. GM begs to differ.

+1 for glnflwrs
I, too am willing to step up and do what I can, but am quite at a loss to determine an effective course of action.
Contacting my elected representatives yields a (mostly) polite reply, acknowledging my concerns, and no corresponding action.
I have little hope that simply attending a multi-hour public Obama-bash ("tea party") will do much in itself besides giving some folks an opportunity to vent to a friendly audience.
Although, if the administration is as poll-driven as many suspect, perhaps that is an avenue worth pursuing.
Question: CAN we survive until 2010 to use the elections as a means of striking back?
Or will Obama,Inc. do so much damage by that time that we can NEVER recover?

MARCHING TO ANOTHER DRUM BEAT
While our government is marching to the drum beat of 'Internationalism', Americans must decide if We the People are going to follow. If We do, our Constitution, Bill of Rights and ALL our Freedoms will be superceeded by and subject to 'International' Laws.
the agenda of our government and the G-20 is World slavery, not unlike companies which 'buy' other companies and then proceed to 'suck them dry'.
The G-20, aided and abbetted by our government wants what our Nation sacrificed to achieve over 200 years without a single effort to achieve what we are and have on their own. And barry is handing it to them on a silver plate.

I am ready, if you have a plan that will take us all the way.

1. Who are you going to fight, and where?
2. Do you have people ready to step into the positions of government and run the country until elections are held.

3. Do you have an agreement with Sec. Svc. that they will step aside and let you arrest officials?

4. Do you have commanders experienced in the type of ops this would require?

How about transportation, communications, coordination, recon, etc.

There are millions willing to fight. But there none who are ready.

I am as sick of this as you are. But I think getting Obama impeached or arrested for criminal acts would work better.

(If you have all of the details planned and are ready, let me know. We'll go together)

Enough Already, Will You Fight?
At the very heart of conservatism rests THE most important principle...liberty. Now the question needs answering, Will You Fight? I have read these columns and comments for many months while I remained quiet and sat idly by the wayside. I say Enough Already! Our very freedom is under siege and attack, yet many of you remain complacent to quibble on these sites to cite your grievances. The government along with its minions and statists has declared war against us and I say we fight! When will your words and quibbling turn into actions that will wage war against this tyranny? This is no longer an ideological battle of ideas, it is a battle between liberty and oppression. Will You Fight?

You worry needlessly. Socialism is not
going to happen. Right now capitalism wet down it's leg and is taking some deserved licks. Yes mistakes are being made but things are going to level themselves out with time and people like us who keep watch and let our opinions be known.

Yes the Media is liberal, but it is changing some. The people's ability to communicate world wide and talk about our glories and falts are the saving grace for us all.

How far?
How far will we let this current batch of leaders in Washington take this sprint towards socialism? Great article by Morris here. I read something similar today in which the writer of the column compared what makes for a winning team in baseball to what makes for a successful nation. Check it out.

For Patriots
1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.

2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people

3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal.

4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state.

5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.

6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.

7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.

8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control.”

Declaration Repealed
Precise Language is important
The Declaration was not repealed
Repeal requires a legitimate government action
The Declaration has been disemboweled.
There is a difference

On Same Page
About 3 weeks ago, to the minute, Maxine Waters and Lindsey Graham and Arianna Huffington (and Company) and Peter King (another great Republican) were all on the same page: We may just have to nationalize the banks. Looking at such agreement in the face of perplexity, one thinks, "Well, yes, let's do the right thing." The fox has been guarding the chickens way too long.

Where are we now with this? Is the right thing being done?

President Obama and Company: DO THE RIGHT THING.

kbTexan, 11:30 PM post.

Are we then to assume that you will be sitting at home or be otherwise occupied on April 15th?

If so... most here will put you on permanent ignore.

Do not under-estimate how America now feels.

Hey, Teach!
The honor of my life--when they wrote that, affectionately, on the blackboard at Mountain View College.

Well, "Teach..." Dick Morris is an exceptional teacher, (just like his mom, I presume).

His comparison of America and Europe, tonight, on cable TV, was incredible for its simplicity and authentic depth. Beautiful!

Hey, Teach!

President or Dictator?
Barack Obama seems to be taking both a lot of liberties and a lot for granted with respect to American soverignty. I suspect that if just one brave soul among those we elect to represent us were to put Obama's actions to the constitutional test, he would be overruled.

The Tea Parties scheduled for April 15th were originally mostly symbolism. If Obama continues to "rule" over "we the subjects," the original intent of this act may again become necessary.

Tea Parties...
While they make you feel like you're accomplishing something, it is obvious that mere "tea parties" will have little effect in our current struggle for liberty. As Patrick Henry noted, "O sir, we should have fine times, indeed, if to punish tyrants, it were only sufficient to assemble the people!"

The original tea party was a defiant, bold, and criminal act. If the patriots in Boston Harbor had been caught, their lives would have been forfeit. Continuing with Patrick Henry's sentiment, "Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect every one who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined.... "

Our liberty will not be recovered without sacrifice.

O ain't done it , yet
Congress will still have to clear this and even the liberal members are starting to hear from unhappy constituents.

It is absolutely astounding
how quickly and how drastically our country is changing since January 20, 2009. R.I.P. America.

Big change on the way
Women, children and the poor will suffer most.
