Poll
Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

For two weeks, Democrats and their media allies have leveled scorching fire at Sarah Palin. It's not having much effect, but they keep at it anyway.

The latest Fox News poll shows Palin with a 54-27 favorable/unfavorable ratio, which compares well with Barack Obama's 57-36, John McCain's 60-33 and Joe Biden's 51-29. (Of the four, she's the most popular).

Why do Democrats feel so threatened? They've even stopped attacking McCain and President Bush to launch a vicious and sexist barrage at her that would normally make a feminist angry and a Democrat blush.

Basically, it's this: John McCain only endangers Democratic chances of victory this November, but Sarah Palin is an existential threat to the Democratic Party.

She threatens a core element of the party's base - women

When an African-American like Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell or Condi Rice rises to prominence as a Republican, he or she endangers the Democratic coalition. So would a Republican labor leader.

And so, above all, does the woman Republican running for vice president.

Democrats can't stomach seeing the feminist movement's impetus for greater female political participation and empowerment "hijacked" by a pro-life woman who espouses traditional values. They must obliterate her, lest her popularity eat away at their party's core.

So the Democrats are hysterical in their attacks on her. South Carolina's Democratic Party chairwoman, Carol Fowler (wife of a national party chairman), said that the only qualification Palin had for vice president was that she hadn't had an abortion. Tabloids are digging up dirt on Palin's children. And liberal bloggers have suggested that Palin would neglect her children if she were elected (while the Democratic candidate has young children at home, too).

That liberals would resort to such blatant sexism shows their desperation.

But the Fox News poll of Sept. 8-9 indicates a deeper reality of Palin's popularity. On the question of which of the four candidates best understands what day-to-day life is like in America, Palin finished first, with 33 percent. (Obama drew 32 percent, McCain 17 percent and Biden 10 percent.)

She's not popular because she's a radical feminist or pro-choice advocate. It's because she understands what it's like to be a woman in 21st century America.

She's never ascended to the elite, so she doesn't need to stoop to conquer as most well-heeled feminist leaders must. She lives far from the plastic pseudoreality where a fossilized ideology substitutes for human compassion and empathy. As such, she rises above the slogans of both the left and the right and proposes to bring to Washington a dose of reality - a taste of real life.

She may become the first woman in national office - yet the Democrats, feminists and liberals can't control her, and that burns them up.

Elections come and go, but Palin is a far more fundamental threat to the Democratic Party. And that's why they fear her so.

Sarah Palin
Needs to stay on message, just like she is doing. The reality the Democrats and BHO have nothing to offer but more government and higher taxes. That's hardly change.

The thing I love about Palin is that she and others, like Bobby Jindal, represent the future - and she indeed smashes so many stereotypes - in a POSITIVE way.

We all need to be supporting McCain/Palin in order to HOPE to roll back government encroachment.

DIck..you are a total a*s and an
Adulterer...Please stop making so much sense and go back to the Lib party so I can despise you without agreeing with you :)

Morris
put his finger on the real threat Palin represents. Democrats currently pull about 60/40 of the woman vote. If that ever drops to 50/50 its curtains. Women are much less intereste din politics than men, as a generalization. Palin is making women get involved. When one gets involved and learns what is really going on, learns the grim unintended consequences of all those fine sounding programs, a new conservative is born. Welcome ladies.

To distill down the reason
Because it reveals the Dhimmicruds' true colours about minorities and women, for which I'll use a plumbing analogy.

If you called a plumber to fix one leak and the job was done, but a bigger leak was discovered a week later, would you want to do repeat business especially if he claimed that the bigger leak was do to pre-existing damage?

Backlash?
Yes, she is scaring their socks off! Palin is extremely impressive and, despite the unfair, vicious treatment she is receiving, she is no victim. She doesn't need a "level playing field", because she is so phenomenal.

Still, I hope there will be a backlash against the media and others who are treating her so abusively.

Wrong.
She frighetning because so many people seem to think that she actually can do the job.

Dick hits it
right on the head. Gov Palin has everyone talking and I am amazed at how many women that are excited about her. A lot of these women normally vote democratic. BO had not won them over but Palin quickly did. I thought from the get go that this was a masterfull move by McCain. Checkmate?

America should be Afraid
Our nation is in DANGER! We must save our country and world relations but realize the American Dream for a cause higher than your own. McCain/Palin favor war, we are in danger of losing world peace it will be WAR after WAR after WAR. Do you want WW3? Today, China is waiting on the collapse of N.Korea? China #1 military force. Russia, Iran, Pakistan and Afkanistan are our immediate threats. We have limited man power.
I'm supporting a cause higher than my own, I support Obama/Biden

Pricatia
Our nation will face dangers no matter who is at the helm. I would much rather have McCain across the table from Putin or Ahmadinejad than BO. Footsie and a group hug won't cut it.

To PRICATIA
You are incorrect. The people of many nations want to be free but they live in fear of other, larger, more powerful nations. What Russia did to Georgia is an example. The people of smaller nations need to believe that there is a powerful nation that they can count on, otherwise they will follow the lead of the nearest powerful neighbor. We could have easily sat out WWII (until the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor) but where would that have left us - a single, solitary nation that believes in freedom would not be able to stand against the rest of the world that believes in tyranny. If you have ever played 'Risk' you would know that the smart player starts small, consolidates and gradually gets larger until it becomes unstoppable. We NEED to have allies in the world, and for someone to be willing to be a friend, they need to believe we have their back. The only friend we don't need is the French, although their new President is showing promise - maybe he understands the danger they are in.

Also to PRICATIA
Sitting around singing "I'd like to buy the world a Coke" and having great 'world relations' doesn't mean anything, if you sacrifice what makes your country what it is. I do not believe our country is perfect, although I wish it were, but I have been to more the 23 other countries in my lifetime and there are only one or two that I would consider moving to. I do not want our nation to be the world police (my family has served in the military for generations) but Teddy said it second best "Talk softly, but carry a big stick". Who said it best?? Sean Connery "Don't bring a knife to a gunfight."

Another reason
the libs are so threatened by this woman is that she is the anti-Hillary. She is everything Hillary is not: Happily married, feminine, charming, believable, and seems to genuinly like regular folks, instead of considering herself a cut above, as does the New York shrew. People are tired of Hillary. They don't want just a woman. They want a lady. And here she is!

Pricatia: You Could Not Be More Wrong
As mentioned here, there will always be wars and rumors of wars because there will always be countries with evil ambitions of one kind or another.

Pax Americana can be seen in two ways: A strong America keeping aggressors at bay or a strong America throwing its weight around and causing trouble.

Ideally, peace will prevail if there is a strong America with peace-loving allies who are willing to fight if necessary.

What's the use of having the strongest military known to man if everybody knows we are unwilling to fight?

Obama and the libs signal they want a weak military and what we have they are basically unwilling to use.

Winston Churchill said: "Weakness is provocative." Everybody who's attended kindergarten knows this.

Palin is a woman who stands up; people will vote for courage.

I had a vision.
When I heard the announcement of McCain's decision, I had a vision of a 7 to 2 or even 8 to 1 conservative Supreme Court by the time President Palin leaves office in 2016 or 2020. Democrats apparently share this vision. I feel, no I glory in their pain.

PRICATIA: You're supporting MARXISM if

you support Obama!

And at NO TIME, and NO WHERE did either McCain nor Gov. Palin say anything that would make a realistic, reasonable, and rational think that!

My God. I'm starting to think this isn't parody and this brain dead troglodytes actually believes this.

Hey stupid, obama said he'd invade Pakistan. Obama's willing to allow Iran acquire nuclear weapons. That would lead to a new and dangerous paradigm in the ME, one that would increase the chances of a regional war that would lead to world war.

McCain/Palin don’t favor war for the sake of war you bedwetting quisling, they favor war when it comes to the security of this nation and its citizens, which is their sworn duty.

Tell me stupid, when in the history of Man has there been “world peace”?

A little-know side-effect

...of the Federal government's out of control spending is that it creates thousands of little and small bureacracies with billions of dollars at stake.

Obama will deselect Denture Boy because someone behind the scenes will make it happen. Hillary, almost committed to watching the Bahma go down in flames, will only take Biden's place for one reason: If George Soros and his ilk were willing to give the DNC $100 million over the allowable limit (they paid a $1 million fine to the FEC), then you can bet someone in the food chain is more than willing to put $10 million to $20 million in a Swiss bank account to get Her Wideness to sign on.

Someone wants the Dems to win very badly. Could it be impending Amnesty and the population growth that will turn America into a suburb of the Arabs?

This government's spending free-for-all will eventually fuel the wolves who are more than willing to tear apart the last shreds of the American Dream.

Hey Anne, Have you noticed
that the average IQ of Obama-Biden supporters appears to hover around that of an eggplant?

Do you suppose they've had too much public education?

We may have to ration your troll feeding.

Good evening.

Hey Elko: What! Ration my troll feeding?

Please... and take away half the fun???

Sarah of the Ukraine
Just a gut reaction - she may not play well in France but I think she could be a hit not only in Georgia and the Ukraine - but in Russia.

I base this on the interview and the Vogue photograph.

Obama not quite a socialist
There is some hyperbole in regards to Obama. He is not quite a socialist, but he is certainly headed that way. He only plans to increase taxes on those who earn more than 250K per year. After all of his huge spending plans, we will either have a much larger deficit or he'll be forced to increase taxes on all Americans. Clinton realized this and stuck it to all of us in the reconciliation in 1993. Beware of the libs who tell the little person they'll pay less to the government. Money does not grow on trees.

Mick
If that happened, we get an encore to the Wellstone Memorial. The classless behavior of the democrats during that cost them the election in MN (and elsewhere) that year. I guess they just can't help it. LOL

Big Mick #24
You're right on that account. There is no reasoning with these cockroaches because their only desire to to kill us, simply because we don't believe as they do. They don't want peace, they don't want harmony, they want us DEAD, period. Were you talking about jihadis or liberals?

Blued and Mick
For the Dem Leaders, it's a power play. Add 40 million new low income voters, sit back and coast. Pass out billions to your pals, then move to Switzerland for retirement. The US will be in the dumper, but someone's gotta lose.

She makes having children lot like fun

And it is.

Charles Gibson
Watching exerpts of the Gibson/Palin interview (grilling) ,I remembered again why I stopped watching network news shows years ago.

He sat there staring at her over his reading glasses and never smiled, just looked disgusted at her. She kept her cool,as I knew she would.

His greatest wish was to intimidate her and get her rattled,so she would make a mistake. She was not coached too much, she just knows what she believes and said so.

When you have core beliefs,it is like telling the truth. You don't have to remember which story you told, because it is just the truth.

Her accusers are the lowest form of humanity and are getting desperate. Anything can happen, now. They do not intend to lose,no matter who they have to destroy in their quest.
We will see who will be thrown under the bus next. We won't have to wait long, either.

You go girl?
I would be thrilled to have a woman Vice President - if the woman in question was qualified.

Gov. Palin is not qualified. She is likeable, knowledgeable about her state and seems to be a very good mother.

She still is not qualified.

Mr. Morris, you should be ashamed, although I doubt conscience has a place in your core values. You excoriated Hillary Clinton for claiming "sexism" in media coverage, waggled your pudgy fingers at her and scorned her about "whining," because what would she do if the big boys like Putin "picked on her."

Now your candidate is under the same intense scrutiny that Sen Clinton has undergone for years - including her personal life - and suddenly you're whining "unfair, unfair."

I think that does a disservice to Gov. Palin. If she wants an equal playing field, which I believe she does, she doesn't need you insulting her by insinuating that she's not strong enough to take it.

You're the closet sexist, Mr. Morris - among a lot of other unsavory things.

They 'Envy' her...

Governor Palin actually possesses 'Real' human feelings. Not the self-hate (wrapped in self-love) feelings of the disordered Liberal personality.

Narcissistic Persons (Liberals) are shaken by a real woman. They fear her. To them, Sarah Palin possesses magical powers capable of seeing through their nasty little bitter souls. She is the Anti-Liberal.

Simply put, Liberals cannot relate to a loving and empathetic mother. They can only relate to the selfish codependent woman who raised them.

And that woman taught them not to trust the Sarah Palin's (real mothers) of this world.

Dick Morris--really???
I cannot believe that this guy still had a career--Morris that is. He's an expert on women in politics? Let's think about that--and his embarrassing association with hookers. He's also not smart--notice the women HE selected for presidential possibilities--Condi and Hillary. Hmmm. Where are they this year?

I am shocked at the whining going on here--if SP is ready for the VP slot, then surely she can handle a few softballs from teddy bear Charlie Gibson.

The Republicans are doing what they have snidely accused Democrats of doing--crying victim. C'mon--the whole point of feminism is to NOT treat her with kid gloves. Can't Sarah Barracuda take the heat?

Anyone Notice?

Governor Palin looked/was nervous during the interview.

McCain possesses a kind of nervous hesitation during his interviews.

Barack showed no signs of nervousness during his interview?

Go figure.

As a rock-ribbed conservative, i graded
Sarah out as about an a-. Rowley: exact description of the condescending Gibson. Seemed to be implying that he knew more about the issues than Sarah, which he probably does. Except he's not running, and the only executive decision he makes every day is what color tie to wear.

Ranger 29: May our LOrd take care of all you Texans.

Blued Steel, loved the rhetoric, group hugs and footsie by Obambi not enough.

Goat: you have an odor problem. Bahhhhhhhhhh.

bon soir, mon amis.

Palin is a Bright Light...

The one you flip on to chase the cockroaches away.

for My Pet Goat
My Pet Goat says: " She frighetning because so many people seem to think that she actually can do the job."

I know what the Constitutional duties of Vice President are.

Believe me, it's such a trivial position that even you could do it.

The only reason you're accustomed to "senior mentor" Vice Presidents like Gore and Cheney is that they were working for inexperienced PRESIDENTS (Clinton and Bush respectively), who needed mentoring.

McCain doesn't need any mentoring.

Mick
Did you catch GibsonLib pressing Palin about incursions into Pakistan? I wish she would've just said "Hell yes". If Radislams think they can hide behind the skirts of the Paks, I would wish our military would send a daisycutter right in their cave and tell the Paks to keep their house clean. Hollylibs and all the others are too involved in a clinch about Palin to realize hoping and changing the world's problems away is the headinazz way of diplomacy. I prefer the big stick wielded by the US military. Our half-national wussy-out attitude has given Valdi the testicular fortitude to throw the Russion Bear attitude all over Europe, knowing the pantiwaists here are all about "what did we do to deserve this" cop out and would rather strongly condemn their actions instead of providing a legitimate deterrent to these fascists.

for pam
pam writes: "Gov. Palin is not qualified."

Not qualified to be VICE PRESIDENT???

What do you believe the constitutional duties of Vice President are, and which of those duties can't Sarah fulfill?

And here's another question for you: If you claim Sarah is unqualified to be Vice President, does that not imply that Obama is unqualified to be President? His knowledge of foreign affairs was worse than Sarah's. He put Biden on his ticket because Obama's own ignorance of foreign policy was becoming embarrassing. What do you think Biden is doing on the ticket? He's holding Obama's hand on foreign policy.

Did that ever bother you at all? If not, why not?

AIP

Palin seems likeable enough. I am honestly curious why her supporters aren't more worried about Todd Palin's now confermed membership into the sucessionist Alaskan Independence Party. If Michelle Obama had been a member of such a party there would have been a firestorm of attacks from the right. Why no worries here?

Why she scares them
The Democrat party is based on several false beliefs which the Democrats attempt to maintain through endless repetition:
(1) Abortion is fine because a fetus is not alive.
(2) All men are sexist and racist scum
(3) America is not liked or respected in the World and this must be corrected.
(4) Bush is an evil man
(5) There must be redistribution of wealth
(6) The government needs to be in charge of your health, not you.

These statements are all false and so the party is constructed of hysterical and often insane mush. All it took was one strong woman and the whole thing falls apart, as it was destined to do. The Democrats are terrified of Sarah Palin because they know she will destroy them instead of cowering in front of them like the Congressional GOP men have been doing.

Experience, What Experience
How easy we forget that Bill Clinton had no foreign affairs knowledge whatsoever, neither did John Edwards and Barack Obama and not a peep of criticism. Perhaps Gov. Palin might not be ready to be President on day one, but she'll be ready on day 2. BTW she's not running for number 1, McCain is. People worry about McCains' health, please look at his 96 year old mother, he's not going anywhere. If Barack Obama dies do you really want a hothead, foot in mouth member of the do nothing Congress Club for President? Remember this guy has been in Congress as long as McCain and has nothing to show for.

Sarah Palin is
the future, not only of the Republican Party, but of the country and the direction in which it is headed (God willing), namely a return (repentance) to the Judeo/Christian principles upon which this great nation was founded.

She threatens the very essence of the leftist ideology - she's pro life, pro military, pro family (husband/wife, mother/father), pro gun ownership, pro Constitution, pro liberty, pro AMERICA.

Close, but it goes deeper...
The video "HOW MODERN LIBERALS THINK" will open your eyes about what makes these liberals tick.

It's by a guy named Evan Sayet, who used to write for Bill Maher. It's very good. You just need some quiet time.
If links don't work here, just search for that title at YouTube. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaE98w1KZ-c

NEWSFLASH-Corporations DO NOT Pay Taxes
Every time the government raises the taxes on corporations they pass that cost on to the consumer.

So here's the process;
1. Obama will give consumers a tax credit/ refund
2. Obama will raise the taxes on those that employ people and make stuff.
3. Companies will raise their prices
4. Consumers will pay the increased price to cover the higher costs for business.

That sound like a tax on consumers to me. It just passes through more hands so it costs even more.

Brilliant!!!

My Pet Goat It's the hair
First, most of the female newscasters started wearing their hair like Cindy McCain.
Now the top designers feature beehive looks at the September 11, 2008 fashionwalk.
Even that crazy British guy on MTV had teased hair.
Wait til the lipstick jeweled pins come out.
And we really like her glasses.
Bet the birth rate goes up this year.
More gun sales.
Animal heads on walls.
King Crabs (hope that research pays off).
And she has taken millions of women like me from being unsure about McCain to being outspoken supporters.
He didn't choose the most populated state.
He didn't choose the easiest path.
He put his trust in her.
So we trust him.
And we don't trust you.
And about the past - it's past.
Palin Mom

Sarah and Manny
Go Sarah! Go Blue! Sarah and the LA Dodgers have had a hell of a couple weeks! Havin' fun watching.

Palin no Coulter Conservative
Sarah has class and style.

She has realness.

If she follows O'Reilly's advice and her own instincts, she and McCain will waltz (with her leading) into the White House.

I like rhythm and blues and I like to dance, including the waltz--I also enjoy watching a graceful couple waltz.

Sarah has a rare combination of elegance, athleticism, honor and morals.

Well known pundits believe an Obama win
It will be close, of course, but I believe the Barracuda will beat the Shark.

Sexism, Politics and Palin
I am too often horrified by the sexist attitudes still alive and well in 2008, and by the sexism and double standards seen in critiques and coverage of female politicians. And I've been horrified by some of the sexist tripe that has emerged around Sarah Palin.

So while I'm all for equality in coverage, I was surprised to look at the byline on this piece and see Dick Morris claiming fifty percent of the authorship.

Seriously, Mr. Morris?

I agree with Pam: Morris has, in the past, exhibited about as much sensitivity to sexism as a tipsy frat boy at a strip show. It is both disingenuous and painfully patronizing for him to start throwing around the pro-woman language he uses here.

Morris calls attacks on Palin sexist, but how did he respond to accusations of sexism against Hillary Clinton? As Pam pointed out, he essentially said she should stop whining. According to the Dick Morris of just a few months ago, if a woman can't play with the "big boys" she should go home.

Which is, I think, indicative of a larger problem with the way Palin's VP candidacy has been handled. She is a politician running for office, and she has the right to be treated as such. That means no gender-based jibes or dismissals. It also means her record is subject to as much scrutiny as anyone else's.

Morris and McGann call attacks against Palin "sexist" and "desperate." Here and in many other places, I keep seeing the attitude that Sarah Palin is untouchable, and questioning anything about her politics is the wrong thing to do. Well, you know what? I've got plenty of qualms about Palin--just as many as I do about any other politician.

Treating Palin like she's breakable does a disservice to her, to us, and to the entire political discourse. Come on, guys. Let's see if we can handle this like adults--even when the "big boys" play rough.

Hey, Big Boy
Give credit where credit is due. The Big Boys haven't been playing fair. They've been attacking her personal life. How many times have you heard McCain and Palin attack BO's being born to a single parent? How many times have you heard people say that BO couldn't be President because he's got two children that need his attention? How many times do you hear anymore about BO's close personal relationship with William Ayers, who is a convicted bomber and wishes he'd done more? In general, the media has been giving BO a pass.

Fear
Dick and Eileen, I agree with your use of the word "fear" in relation to Sarah's nomination and the Dems.
It is well-known that the Dems have this gut feeling that if they don't win office, they don't "eat".
Sarah will only continue to grow more popular leading up to the election because people in the US are finally seeing and admitting to the slash/burn policy of the Mainstream media for the conservatives.

McCain and Palin in 2008!!!!

what about Barry's "record"?
re;
"She is a politician running for office, and she has the right to be treated as such. That means no gender-based jibes or dismissals. It also means her record is subject to as much scrutiny as anyone else's."

"Otay," then we must look hard also at Oprah's heart-throb (no ethnocentrism there!) Barry Hussein Obama. Two years on the national stage... his Senate colleagues say that he seemed nice enough, but has done nothing yet. Hmmm. Ah!-- but he was a state senator in the Chicago Machine, the most corrupt system in America, and was surrounded with icons of inspiration and virtue like Revrund Wright, Tony Resco, and radical bomber Bill Ayers:

http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives2/2008/04/020358.php

But let's not forget that Barry was also a community organizer-- just like Jesus!

The Barry Obambi accomplices, the MSM, have ALWAYS been tone deaf about Middle America. The wine and cheese crowd and chattering classes were not offended when Barack superciliously spoke of clinging to guns and religion and resenting ILLEGAL aliens... but those who were offended are loaded to go vote Republican, bibles in hand.

Oracle1
""Otay," then we must look hard also at Oprah's heart-throb (no ethnocentrism there!) Barry Hussein Obama. Two years on the national stage... his Senate colleagues say that he seemed nice enough, but has done nothing yet. Hmmm."

All right, so let's look at his record. Let's look at both their records, scrutinize all the contenders--that's what I'm saying here.

Quick clarification--are you suggesting that Obama has gotten a soft ride? I'm not in favor of giving anyone a free pass, but if that's what you're saying about Oprah, I do feel the need to point out that she's a TV personality, not a political pundit. (I know Oprah endorsed Obama, but I'm not a watcher so I'm going to have to plead ignorance on the specifics of that relationship.)

Then there's the "Obambi accomplices," the mainstream media. This is off-topic from what I was trying to say about the nature of politics and sexism, but humor me. It's a pet peeve hearing "the mainstream media" described as the monolithic entity. CNN has one angle, Fox has another. So it goes.

And frankly, I can't see any of the presidential or VP candidates as representatives of Middle America. They all try to pander to us normies, and it always makes me cringe.

To The Great Satan™, et al:

One thing that makes this site head and shoulders above the other sites like the Huffington Post is that we are generally civil and civilized people. Those other sites populated by the liberal crowd are vile and disgusting to read. Once we stoop to calling others names, we sink to their level.

You can disagree without being disagreeable. If you go calling people names and using crude language, then you turn off a great many others who would have otherwise listened to you if you simply disagreed with what the person said and attacked their premise, not them!

Be nice and play fair when it comes to posting here - BUT remember, every time someone blasts Gov. Palin, they just add another vote in our favor. (smile)

FEAR SARAH
I don't fear her. I don't like her for 19 reasons plain and simple:

1. Being first introduced to us mere mortals in the lower 48 states she lied with, "thanks, but no thanks" to the bridge from nowhere.

2. She tried to "hide" her daughter's pregnancy (holding Trig) from the get go, yet had her to attend the event. Exploitation in my opinion of her family issues. Her eldest wasn't there, so why drag out the baby mama and then turn around and try to hide her condition?

3. She wants to verbally hit like a man then hide like a woman behind a man to not get hit back

4. She cries sexism, but said HRC was a whiner when she said the same.

5. She's letting McCain use her, and she doesn't care as long as she can garner a spotlight.

6. She has yet to define what she'll reform in D.C.

7. She wants to take credit to giving welfare via oil profits to AK when that has been a staple in AK

8 She wants a woman to carry a baby to term even if a woman is raped by stranger or family member -- too disgusting to fathom personally

9 She wants to have praise for alllowing her teen baby mama daughter to keep the baby when its done everyday by other teen's mom.

10 So I don't fear her. I just don't like her period. Its her character demonstrated from the start, and all I see is a drama queen in the WH

More Conservative Lies....
and the lying liars who tell them. Trust me the only thing to be afraid of is that enough of you morons have been duped, fooled, brainwashed and bamboozled into buying into the Republican B.S. We are talking about a person who is so unqualified to run this country in the event of McCain falling ill or worse. We're talking about a person having to stare down the likes of Putin and Ahmadinejad, and be true leader and diplomat, C'mon are you all kiddin' me? That's what's scary. It's nothing personal, but Sarah Palin name shouldn't even be synonymous with the word President. The Bush/Cheney years have done enough damage and have on many occasion made our great nation a global laughing stock. I be darned, I cast my vote to for McCain/Palin and contribute to the beginning our our end. So Dick Morris and Eileen McGann
if you going to tell it, tell the truth and tell it like it is. What's scary is that there are enough stupid, uninformed, dumb, Americans actually taking this joke of a Republican ticket seriously. It's enough that John McCain himself isn't fit to lead, nonetheless Sarah Palin...Please!

Praise the Lord
And pass the ammunition, it is time to stand up for the American way of life.

Excellent assessment, well researched, dead on, and truthful. Such attributes would definitely disqualify you from being a Townhall.com columnist.

This is the nuncutting right here
Dick wrote:

"Elections come and go, but Palin is a far more fundamental threat to the Democratic Party. And that's why they fear her so."

Cant put more "Dick" into it than that!

All you liberals
need to fold your tents, it's over.

Praise the lord

G.I. Joe = A good representation....
of all you neocons here. A stupid rifle waggin, bubba teeth, beer bellied, confederate flag wavin', raggedy pick-up truck drivin', uncouth, uneducated, low I.Q. havin', tobacco chewin', inbred dunce! I'm shocked he even knows what a computer is, let alone the internet. Billy Joe Bob Jenkins must've lost a bet and had to take a computer course, now look at what we've got to put up with.

THE DOUBLE STANDARD AGAIN
I was also very angry when the media and Democrates started spewing vile comments about Palin when McCain selected her. What really got my ire up was the women of the feminist movement of the 70's were doing the same thing. I felt like these women had betrayed their gender because what Palin has accomplished is exactly what we were reaching for in the 70's for women to be able to accomplish. To get over my anger I needed a touch of reality of what a liberal really is. They are extremist and feel threatened by anyone that is decent, good, responsible, has values, loves their God and their country. They believe their way is the only way. EXAMPLE, it was ok to them that President Clinton entertained his mistress with a cigar in the oval office, but a serious offense when Palin's daughter is pregnant. If you want to talk about pregnancy of teen aged girls, which ethnic group has the largest number of teen age pregnancies? Let's talk.
However, what bothers me most is a bias media and a libelous press. Freedom of the Press is a gift of our Forefathers, but a bias news media is dangerous and a threat us all. I don't advocate censorship, just accountability. Thank goodnes I have a good remote control and I'm canceling my newspaper subscriptions.

Advice to Keith
First of all, I should thank you for your latest post as an excellent example of all that "tolerance" that liberal hypocrites are always talking about. You just proved to everyone here that you are an elitist snob who can be ignored from now on. I guess you have Michael Moore as your hero. Well then, why are the two of you hypocrites still living in the USA? My advice would be that when McCain and Palin are elected, you might just want to leave the country. I would recommend that you go over and live with the Palestinians or Syrians under sharia law. You would be begging to come back within 3 months at the most.

Keith and carbar....
"It's not that our liberal friends are ignorant, it's just that they know so much that isn't so." Ronald Reagan

I'm glad The former president did not live to see that liberals such as you are in fact ignorant. Sarah just scares the bejesus out of you. Oh, wait! Liberals don't believe in Jesus!

Your nominee for president is the emptiest suit ever to come out of the cesspool of Chicago politics. He has no experience, no accomplishments, no judgement. Comments like "above my paygrade" and the "pig and lipstick" thing show he has no grasp of what his words can do and how they can offend others. Oh, no! HE is the victim, isn't he? Two memoirs and no legislation is such laughable ignorance and arrogance. Or it would be laughable if he wasn't seeking the most powerful position in the world!

Trying to make Hussein look good is like trying to polish a tu rd. Even if you are successful, all you have is a shiny tu rd!

Victim
The reason Sarah threatens the foundation of liberal philosophy is because she is not a Victim. Even after the furious scurilous attacks on her and her family, she is not a victim! This was the driving force behind Clinton. She had been victimised by a rotten cheating husband her entire life and she was due. It was her turn. And now she is the victim again!
But Sarah Palin lives her philosophy and is so secure in her belief that nothing external can threaten it. And because of this she can't be controlled. This is what terrifies the left so deeply that they will go to any lengths to destroy her.

The Proof of Morris' Argument...
...lies in the left's treatment of Obama.

There is no critique of Palin's qualification for the vice-presidency that would not apply doubly to Obama's qualification for the presidency. And yet the MSM refuse to apply any energy toward examing the issue of his qualifications.

If anyone in this race has any explaining to do, it is the man who, within the space of a year, literally went from being a "community organizer" to a candidate for the presidency of the most powerful country in the world.

You would think (presuming you are able) this circumstance would provoke a most unrelenting grilling from the media, but it doesn't even raise a yawn from them. Now why is that?

it takes a Dick to
put things is pespective.

The anguish and gnashing of teeth is biblical in proportion.

Welcome to hell, liberals.

If You Can't Take The Heat
If you can't take the heat, go back to the kitchen!

Governor Palin is one class act and the women in the press and Democrat party weren't prepared for such a bold and fantastic selection.

The women that vote for the McCain/Palin ticket this year should proudly wear bright red lipstick to the polls (a move that would honor the Iraqi women that boldly held up purple fingers after voting for the first time).

Heck, I should wear bright red lipstick. There would be no doubt who I was there to vote for!

Sarah Palin
I mentioned her in Sydney, Australia on August 19 as a VP possibility to an American lawyer friend of Rudy Guiliani. Don't know if it travelled, but our intelligence agencies do talk. A brilliant choice, in my post-feminist book. (My cousin chaired/led the International Council of Women during the UN Decade of Women, so liberal feminism is something I have lived with since the 1970's.) Well done, America.

HAHA

Dick and Eileen
In order to avoid being seen as "Idiots". I would suggest, that someone ask the European intellectuals, what they think of Governor Palin. If one were to use her past interview with Charles Gibson, the reviews would not be good. My friends in England, are already "Laughing" at the Prejudice of Americans. They have asked me;"How will America ever regain her Status in the World, showing this degree of Prejudice"?My answer SHE won't...GOOD!!!

Scared, But Not By Palin
Palin doesn't scare people as much as the tactic of telling falsehoods that don't stand up to verification. It is very scary that a political party in the United States would deliberately repeat untruths, and then defend them over and over. (a psychological tactic used by successful propagandists throughtout history)

This low-road politics is nothing new, it is as old as politics themselves. But faced with this same "evil", no other civilization in history has survived---once they denied the truth they were finished---all political parties.

Once government starting selling citizens programs they became salespeople, not public servants.

So it is not Palin that scares people, it is that Palin is but a point of many poison arrows aimed at all citizens, not just her enemies.

McCain is an honorable man and having to "sell his soul" to a dishonorable political campaign is not good for his health. He truly believes "death is worse than dishonor" and stress like this will take its toll.

That is the collateral damage of a campaign against the truth---it injures the honorable of both parties indescriminatly.

Sandman
The media are the co-marketers of Obama, along with the Marxists libs in Congress. And that is done to enslave the blacks to their plantations.

It would pretty much insure a dictatorship run by the Communist party.

Nuclear war with Russia is scary
SP is willing to start a Nuclear war with Russia over Georgia, a country she and 98% of America can not find on a map. Senator McCain's grandfather died at age 61, and Senator McCain's father died at age 70. SP could easily become president.

Sarah Palin Scares Them
because she is down to earth!! Americans are sick and tired of politicians that yap, yap, yap and behind the big smiles and perfect suits there is a peek at their sales pitch to make government bigger and stick their hands in our pockets - make no mistake - more programs need more money.
Palin - down to earth - working with McCain an outstanding person - two real Americans knowing that we have to simplify government. SIMPLIFY.
Obama's agenda is to expand and complicate government.
Down to earth - cut expenses, cut, cut and cut again!
Down to earth - drill, and drill some more and promote all types of methods to cut our dependence on wacky foreign governments - once they are not getting all that American money - they might be less hostile.

Hard truth about Palin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ws4Tl3vHryQ

This is Sarah Palin in August.

Wow, what phony!

Anyone have a comment?

Democrats
The last two elections, Gore and Kerry, the democrats pikced the new curtains for the white house before they won the race.

I sense John McCain will win with a margin such as Ronald Reagan.

By voting time people will be so sick of hearing the muslim name the cost of Pepto-Bismol will sky rocket

I can't say for sure
why the left is critical of Sarah. What I do know clearly from those leftist responders to this article is that they are very frightened by her candidacy.

Their name calling and way out accusations tell us clearly they are frightened. No rational arguements. No explanations of why Obama and Edwards, both with very little experience, to this day have not been questioned about their inexperience or in the case of Obama what impact his years of association with radicals(starting in high school with Frank Davis) has done to influence his thinking. Who taught him about patriotism, surely not Davis, Wright, Ayres or Farracahn.

Re: Kudos!!!
This is right on, only Mr. Morris is getting this right!!! Look, the Dems are people who are basically a bunch of bleeding heart liberals who think that the America should evolve into a Socialistic governement that will take care of the people who basically have no means by which to take care of themselves!!! This is planet Mars type of a world!! Look, Ms. Palin is finally someone who the majority of American people can FINALLY identify with and the Dems pick these socialist elitists who think they can totally revolutionize the government! The American people do not want this type of person, it is pretty apparent at what has happened when Ms. Palin stepped onto the stage!

Loco
Former Presidential Candidate John Edwards is not in this race.I wrote in "CAPS" because obviously you don't comprehend any other writing. Also,if you and others, had a "Brain", you would be frightened of Mrs.Palin as well. But sometimes "Prejudice" clouds our senses...You keep on "Hating",it's good for the country!!!LOCO,you bet..

Liberals have no...
....conscience. They prove it every time they open their mouths. The hypocrisy of their attacks on Palin proves it's not about America or Americans, it's about their hate-filled politics and POWER.

Lack of "brains"?
So republicans have no "brains" for supporting Palin but it's smart for democrats to support the Chicago mobster, inexperienced petition collector? Yeah, those are some real "brains". Uh, huh.

HATE?
The only LOCO thing here is Killer from GA. Hate seems to be the strong emotion on the left side of the "issues". I have yet to find a blog on the right as hatefull as some on the left. I sure there is one but it must be obscure. Morris, Krauthammer and the others are right. Who has more experience, Palin or Obama? And why are we talking about the VP candidate of the GOP anyway? What about those "issues"? I see lots of promises but no solutions. Get off her back and on to the "issues"

Palin Being "Used and Abused"
When Obama did not select Hillary as his running mate, the Republicans were quick to substitute Hillary with Palin. But of course, Palin is no Hillary and perhaps Palin never wanted to be a national public figure.

She was selected only because she is a woman. Period. Her light credentials are passable...some small-town/state experience with extreme values that represent only the far-right. She basically has been an "unknown" to most Americans, until now. And there is not much more to learn. It is unfortunate for her.

I feel sorry for Palin. I think she was courageous to step up to the call of McCain. But this poor woman is not ready to hold such high office in Washington. It was never Palin's focus to understand all global policies set forth by our government. Yet she is being called to represent them, without either knowing them nor understanding them in their full context. I am concerned that she may be forced to face hard-core global leaders who will not apply the same standards we seem to have don to a woman who lacks understanding of the world. America will be the laughing stock of the world, and how do you think Palin will feel about that? Not good. And not nice to do to a woman nor anyone else with her background. Shame on McCain. We know he loves "skirts" but now he has really gone too far.

Stop Whining!

Please for Sarah's sake.

Carol
"But of course, Palin is no Hillary"

You think that's a bad thing, do you? I agree that Gov. Palin is no Hillary. After all, Gov. Palin got to where she is without riding the coattails of her husband. Unlike Hillary, she is actually winning.

"She was selected only because she is a woman. Period."

Why do you think Geraldine Ferraro was selected as Walter Mondale's running mate in '84? If she weren't a woman, she'd be a mere footnote in one of the most forgettable campaigns in American history.

"Her light credentials are passable...some small-town/state experience with extreme values that represent only the far-right."

Once again, a liberal shows her true feelings for the common people: pure contempt.

"Shame on McCain. We know he loves "skirts" but now he has really gone too far."

Speaking of skirt-chasers, what's Bill Clinton doing these days?

Republicans are a joke!

Trying to turn the country over to liars.

Shame on you.

The road to hell is paved with Republicans.

Grace under fire
Sarah is doing a great. She's smart, articulate and has grace under fire. Most of the same attributes of Hillary.
The American people can see through this phony concern the media has about her qualifications. They had no such concern with Barack Obama.
Sarah is the real deal and that's why the democrats are in panic mode. She is also the new American success story. They like her values. Even if you don't agree with her on some social issues she is non-threatening. Unlike the loony left she is not a in you face screaming Nazi, I'll dictate your life because you're too stupid.
Sarah is a great pick for McCain. He had the kahuna's to take a partner and share the stage. Secure in his masculinity.
Unlike the media and the pollsters who have been in the tank for Obama, I never believed the numbers they were touting for Obama. You can not erase Reverend Wright and all the other wacky characters he called mentor and friends on his way up the Chicago Democratic machine.
Also Obama being from Chicago Illinois the McCain camp needs to ask Obama about his home state, city and county. This state is on the verge of bankruptcy. State services are non-existent. The state is closing state parks. Phone calls to the state are met with busy signals. The phones have been taken off the hook. They just sold the state lottery for revenue. This is Obama's state and he as a state senator and now a U.S. senator has done nothing to help. His only job seems to be feathering his own nest.
If you want to see what Obama can do for America take a look at Illinois.

Math lesson for libs...
48>43

you got that right
the libs fear is evidenced by nasty attacks and extreme distortions of pallin .bye bye obama

Sarah Palin has held mirror to the left
And, it's not pretty. Dick Morris has this so right and there are times I think he overshoots, but not this time. As a FORMER pro-choice, left-wing, highly educated, anti-Christian white woman, I can tell you how they think and view this woman. What moved me from the almost far left to the right? It began with the issue of "life." I just witnessed too many casual, repetitive abortions and I saw the aftermath, what it did to my friends, how depressed and ashamed they became, as they year after year had abortion after abortion to undo their casual affairs or relationships with men who didn't want a more serious relationship. I saw their hearts change and their hopes die. No exaggeration here. I started to take a REAL LOOK at what the only model of feminism was and I walked away from it.

Sarah Palin is no Hillary. Sarah Palin transcends Hillary. She gives women a better option, one they can live with and sleep with. Men on the right (surprisingly) LOVE Sarah Palin, Maybe they don't really want to keep their women barefoot and pregnant (like I used to believe). Maybe they are just as excited about a woman who can thrust economic power, God fearing virtue AND have a family. Maybe the MEN on the right will be the real voters in this election, because it affects them as much as it does the women.

Sarah Palin brings an evolved feminism to the forefront and it leaves the left with an empty platform.

Phony Republicans

Every critisism of Obama is some ridiculous communist or racist plot paranoia.

Just admit it.

Dick Morris

Isn't he the same genius who wrote a book called "Hillary vs. Condi"?

He really saw that one coming.

The guy's must be Notradamus.

LMAO!

Unwise
It is not wise for Liberal Democrats to raise issues of "light credentials," flip flopping or most anything else in their vicious attacks on Sarah Palin. Doing so only reminds of some of Obama's and Biden's weaknesses. The aforementioned aside, the greatest distinction she holds over Obama is lack of a long list of nefarious characters as close associates and supporters. Over Biden, she is the only one of the top four candidates who is a DC outsider - the real agent of hope for change in a grossly malfunctioning Federal Government.

Another scary thought
Here is something the left has to be afraid of. It WILL lose women voters, because many women like myself who bought the whole "feminist" crap hook, line and sinker are aging, maturing and discovering some of the lies of feminism. They shrouded an anti-men, anti-children, anti-god platform with the "equal pay for equal work" banner. Now "economic opportunity" is not even discussed. The ONLY thing I hear from the LEFT to women is "you wont be able to choose to kill your baby" which means, "you won't be able to undo your problem or as Obama put it, your "punishment" from your casual sex.

Women are starting to see the true SEXISM here. Let's take away from women what makes them women and undo the miracle of them giving birth. Let's call the life inside of them a "mistake" or a "punishment."

Charlie Gibson hammered Palin on stem-cell research. I mean PLEASE, the irony of this all.

Men sat in trees this week trying to protect redwoods. These are, no doubt, Obama supporters who will be the first to drive their girlfriends to the abortion clinic.

This is what is waking up the good people of America.

Ahhh...
...the lovely howling, whining, and screeching sounds of wild and untamed liberals in their native habitat...

...music to my ears.

NEWSFLASH Obama declares Emergency

With 'Gas Prices' already at $8.00 a gallon in some states because of Hurricane Ike.

Obama is calling for 'Tire Gauges' to be shared by Democrat volunteers to other Democrats.

Obama is asking that all 'Tire Gauge' manufacturers work around the clock to help Americans meet this emergency.

Obama stated we must be 'Smart' in meeting this crisis and is demanding President Bush to release all emergency stockpiles of 'Tire Gauges'.

Obama declared that only Democrats foresaw this emergency and begged people to buy 'Tire Gauges'.

Obama is blaming Republicans for NOT passing a law requiring all citizens to buy 'Tire Gauges'.

Obama believes that if he was president this gas shortage would have been avoided because he would have 'Mandated' that everyone buy a 'Tire Gauge'.

Obama 'Hope' and 'Change' is for better 'Tire Gauges'

Palin's Ready?

You guys can't really be this stupid.

LOL Say it ain't so...LOL

racism, (not)
The only issue of race in this 'race',
is the left's insistant cry of racism
whenever they feel obama slipping.

Race has served Obama well.
The left tries to use it as a weapon.

The thing i like best about Sarah
is the left's reaction to the right's reaction. The left wingers see armies of previously silent uninvolved conservatives come racing to voice their approval. Most of them are women, who are actually the Democrats core constituency. If the ladies go 50/50 in the voting booth, and democratic candidate is toast. It is great to see the hysterical attacks, which are having exactly the opposite of the desired effect. How typical. The left has always shot itself in the foot with unintended consequences. Usually they shoot everyone's foot, how pleasant to see they confined the damage to themselves this time.

heavydoug, its obvious why you won't vote for Sarah. You are a misogynist.

Scared?

Oh yeah.. I'll do some scaring of my own.
