Poll
Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

After almost six weeks of a constant Obama lead, generally in the five to seven-point range, Scott Rasmussen’s daily tracking poll records two consecutive days of a tie race (July 12-13) and a one-point Obama lead on July 14. What happened to the Democrat’s lead?

Part of the slippage is Obama’s fault and part is McCain’s gain.

Obama has carried flip-flopping to new heights. In the space of a month and a half, this candidate - who we don’t really yet know very well - reversed or sharply modified his positions on at least eight key issues:

• After vowing to eschew private fundraising and take public financing, he has now refused public money.

• Once he threatened to filibuster a bill to protect telephone companies from liability for their cooperation with national security wiretaps; now he has voted for the legislation.

• Turning his back on a lifetime of support for gun control, he now recognizes a Second Amendment right to bear arms in the wake of the Supreme Court decision.

• Formerly, he told the Israeli lobby that he favored an undivided Jerusalem. Now he says he didn’t mean it.

• From a 100 percent pro-choice position, he now has migrated to expressing doubts about allowing partial-birth abortions.

• For the first time, he now speaks highly of using church-based institutions to deliver public services to the poor.

• Having based his entire campaign on withdrawal from Iraq, he now pledges to consult with the military first.

• During the primary, he backed merit pay for teachers - but before the union a few weeks ago, he opposed it.

• After specifically saying in the primaries that he disagreed with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-N.Y.) proposal to impose Social Security taxes on income over $200,000 and wanted to tax all income, he has now adopted the Clinton position.

Obama’s breathtaking flips and flops are materially different from McCain’s. While McCain had opposed offshore oil drilling and now supports it, the facts have obviously changed. Obama’s shifts have nothing to do with altered circumstances, just a change in the political calendar.

As a candidate who was nominated to be a different kind of politician, Obama has set the bar pretty high. And, with his flipping and flopping, he is falling short, to the disillusionment of his more naïve supporters. One wag even called him the “black Bill Clinton,” a turnaround of the “first black president” moniker that had been pinned on Bill.

Meanwhile, McCain and the Republicans have finally found an issue - oil drilling - exposing how the Democrats oppose drilling virtually anywhere that there might be recoverable oil. Not in Alaska. Not offshore. Not in shale deposits in the West. The Democratic claim that we “cannot drill our way out of the crisis in gas prices” begs the question of whether, had we drilled five years ago, we would be a lot less dependent on foreign market fluctuations.

The truth is that the Democrats put the need to mitigate climate change ahead of the imperative of holding down gasoline prices at the pump. If there was ever a fault line between elitist and populist approaches to a problem, this is it. In fact, liberals basically don’t see much wrong with $5 gas. Many have been urging a tax to achieve precisely this level, just like Europe has done for decades.

Obama said that he was unhappy that there was not a period of “gradual adjustment” to the high prices, but seems to shed few tears over the current levels. After all, if your imperative is climate change, a high gas price is worth 10 times a ratified Kyoto treaty in bringing about change.

Republicans can drive a truck through the gap between this elite opinion and the need for ordinary people to afford the journey to work in the morning. And, with a 16-state media buy, the Republican Party and the McCain campaign are doing precisely that.

If Obama softens his aversion to drilling, it may be the final straw for some of his liberal supporters. Where would they go? Nader is still a possibility. But McCain can attract liberal votes. He doesn’t need to bleed Obama only from the right. His own stands against drilling in Alaska and torture of terror suspects and for immigration reform make him suspect on the right, but quite acceptable to the left. If moderate liberals are disgusted by Obama’s obvious attempts at chicanery and repositioning, they might just cross the aisle.

Well, we can dream
Mr. Morris....GREAT book by the way...Personally, I think Hillary has something up her sleeve for the Denver Convention, and it would NOT break my heart to see a "doctored convention" in Minneapolis. Both of these "pre-selected" candidates are not the type of leadership we need now. We need statesmen(women), and common sense approaches to real problems. As you may suspect, there are ALOT of unhappy folk out here on both sides of the aisle, and we're all getting hammered together. I can surmise that with a 9% approval rating, the DEMS are going to lose big time in the congressional races. It will be the Repubs. turn (again) to try to establish some semblance of reason to national policies in many areas. The DEMS trying to change the political landscape by heavy immigration is really p******g alot of people off, and many see it for what it truly is. The Repubs. wanting cheap labor are no better. I'm seeing and reading about alot of folks going 3rd PARTY THIS YEAR, AS MANY ARE REALLY FED UP WITH BOTH PARTIES.

NObama's bait and switching will him no good and McCain pandering to the leftists won't do him any good either....Whoever wins, they will be unpopular from day one as POTUS. This is a sad state of affairs that the greatest nation on EARTH cannot find any TRUE leadership.

Oback and the Goal
Please stop with the Flip and Flop accusations. My goal is the presidency and I am entirely consistent in my statements on every topic if seen through the filter of my goal. I shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, and say whatever is necessary in order to assure that I attain the presidency. Within that context I am totally consistent. I have the audacity of hope that you goofball right wing bozos can muster up some of that limited intellectual capacity that you have and try to understand what I am saying.

I'm Oback Arama and I'm running for president.

You Gotta Vote

Please do NOT stay home. You must vote. You do not have to vote for Hillybama or McAmnesty. There are always other parties and people on the ballot. You could write in Joe Oliva. The important votes are for House and Senate seats. Conservatives MUST win seats in the House. The House is where things get done. It was the passage of H.R. 4437, an enforcement bill, in Dec.05 that sparked the illegal alien protest marches and moved this issue to the front burner. It was the Senate that tried to jam amnesty down our throats. The D's that won seats in '06 were conservatives running on enforcement platforms. One of them, Heath Shuler D-NC, introduced the SAVE Act. Call, e-mail, or write your Congressman and urge support of this legislation. Enforcement is what Americans want, not amnesty.

GOP=Whig

The Stupid Party

The RNC wants an amnesty candidate.

Don't vote for one.

Another amnesty will result in Democrat majorities for decades, or until they are supplanted by the La Raza Party, why doesn't the RNC know that? How stupid do you have to be to import voters for the opposition at the same time you alienate your own voters? Nominating any of the amnesty supporters is a losing proposition, we will not support them. If the GOP intends to surrender our sovereignty and abandon the rule of law, they will find in November 2008, that they still have their big money/cheap labor donors, but they do not have voters. GOP-RIP

First rate political science Mr. Morris

Sen. Obama brings to the election the least qualified relevant experience to be President since Wendell Wilkie. At least, the robust Mr. Wilkie had executive management to his resume.

The public sees Mr. Obama's position turnabouts and outright jigs as his true make-up. He's a man without a seasoned core.

The national will to drill will cause the Democrats no end of difficulty all summer and into the fall.

Americans know that the Democrats detest the oil patch and have consistently denied exploration and development that would have benefited the consumer because the industry would have had profit as well.

You're so right Mr. Morris that congressional Democrats would rather bottleneck the use of fossil fuel with a European price model than have the U.S.A. pursue more crude with exploration and drilling.

Sen. Obama and his cohorts cannot redefine or shade themselves enough with flip-flops that are a Judas kiss embrace of positions they never will believe or adopt in truth or practice.

Sen. Obama has his cadres but precious little else to garner the votes of the keystone middle range of voters.

Hopefully,
Enough Americans will see what liberals are doing and won't believe them when they flip-flop on the issue until they get elected that is. And Robert, I don't even consider you to be American. You're a lefty through and through. Additionally, any man who must use the term "LOL" constantly, really is quite girly.

What's hurting McCain in the polls
is that his "base" does not trust him to be anything other than a moderate democrat. And the trip to Mexico, the speaking engagement to "The Race" and McCain-Feingold/McCain-Kennedy doesn't help.

To address just two
It is fairly clear that there is a segment of the population that will vote for Barack Obama, even if the now notorious cartoon in the New Yorker was spot on. This self-absorbed, self-righteous and self-important group however, does not comprise a majority of the electorate.

For the rest of the rational and thinking public: when your take Barack Obama's pandering speech to the Israeli Lobby on an undivided Jerusalem and his "refined" position for a timetable for withdrawing from Iraq, you understand just how dangerous this man would be to America.

Immediately upon being pressured by pro-Palestinian groups, Obama's conviction to an undivided Jerusalem gave way to negotiation between the factions. Within four hours, he went from a rational policy of basing his decision on advise from military commanders and the actual circumstances on the ground, to reaffirming his plan for a 16 month withdrawal regardless of conditions.

No one can govern this nation on a "spur of the moment" process as the basis for making life and death decisions. Obama means what he says at the instant he says it but it has all the validity of a three dollar bill. We simply can't take this man's leadership ability and his commitment to his word to the bank.

Impressive analysis as usual...
...even though it still takes TWO of you to write this column!

LOL!

Dick Morris, don't bother telling
me what the national polls are saying. we all know they don't mean jackpoop. tell us what the state by state numbers are, especially in the few which might be tossups, FL, PA, OH etc.

A funny letter to the editor
the other day, in the boston globe, which is very rare.

someone mentioned Dick Cheney.

about 2 weeks ago, he was here in Boston (I'm sure with about an army division of security.) Among other things, he visited the USS Constitution, left over from the war of 1812.

Some liberal wag wrote in that this was the first time in 7 years that the Vice President had looked at the Constitution!

got to give the devils their due once in a while.

Anyone notice ?????????
Marxist Obama has SCRUBBED all previous references to the surge on his web site?

Obama The Muslim
Truth Will Win
In any Muslim family the Father determines the religion of the family. Obama's biological father is a Muslim, hence his son is a Muslim. Obama has no say in the Muslim world , he is a Muslim. If he elects to become a Christian or any other religion, he is guilty of apostasy a crime which may be punishable by death. When Obama lived in Indonesia, he went to the Muslim school for 2 years and a Catholic school for 2 years. There are 2 important facts about Indonesia and Obama's Muslim faith. First, Obama transferred from the Catholic school to the Muslim school. This was done by choice, Obama could have remained in the Catholic school. Second, Obama was registered in both schools as a Muslim by his parents. This proves his Mother and step-Father both considered him a Muslim and the record on that fact is clear. There are 1.2 billion Muslims in this world and every one of them consider/believe Obama is a Muslim. Obama knows all this but he is trying to divert, hide, deny his true faith as he seeks the office of POTUS--this subterfuge is being supported in toto by the Left wing press and his Communist handlers. Obama is a fraud and so is the Leadership of the Democrat Party.

Saul Alinksi and Obama
Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals

http://raymondpronk.wordpress.com/2008/01/27/voters-beware- the-radical-rules-of-saul-alinsky-and-leftist-democrats/

The entire professional experience of Senator Obama has been in aid of Alinksy organisations.

Obama is not just a liberal, he truly is a Marxist. Alinsky and Lenin had identical goals of a 'vanguard' of elites to sweep away capitalism.

Obama and the Clinton's both embrace Alinky's goals. The Clinton's were mainly in the game for personal finanical gain and clearly 'coined' the Whitehouse. Obama is a 'true believer' and will take away your most important human rights in the name of some crisis or another.

Aside from every other reason he is not worthy of the Presidency, his communism is reason enough to support McCain and assure us that America will not reject its capitalist roots.

Cheers,

Bloefeld

Do you know any Muslims Warrior?
They find this 'Obama is Muslim because of his father' charge laughable. One does not become a Muslim passively. To become a Muslim one must make a formal decree acknowledging Allah, and then take an oath to uphold the seven pillars of Islam.

One more flip-flop:Michelle Angela Davis
Obama says his wife was a woman and now we find out Michelle Angela Davis O'Drama is one ugly MAN.

Make no mistake about it, America will never accept Michelle Angela Davis Obamba as its FIRST LADY.

You can take that to the BANK.

NOBAMA !

Warrior is RIGHT Obama is Muslim...
except there's one qualifier he left out: Obamba is an American black nationalist Muslim, which is a bastardized form of Islam mixed with Christianity. Trinity has many members who are black muslims, which are not true Muslims like in the middle east, but Muslim nonetheless.
Unfortunately, you cannot mix CLAY with IRON, they do not cleave with oneanother.

The truth is the more you truly research Obamba objectively, his family, and his associations, the more you know he is a black nationalist muslim-christian. The media won't do it because most of them are non-black and are afraid of being called the dreaded "R" word: Racist.

How pathetic.

The recent cartoon in the New Yorker is pretty close to how many Americans see Obama, after all, it's what OBAMA and MICHELLE HAVE SHOWN US.

Then the media and all the pundits and even McCain say how "over the top" the cartoon was.
What a laugh, it was one of the most truthful cartoons done on O'Drama and his racist America-hating wife, PERIOD.

Angela Davis and the "african" man in the turban who associates with flag burners and takes sides with Fakestinians.

Michelle is straight up hood and Obamba is straight up abyss.

Wrong

====
Many are forced to do that, its the story they do not talk about here in the west.
But goes on today where islam rules just like it has since mohammed.

Just one story not spoken of here

quote:
Christian woman 'forced to convert to Islam'
Professor missing for weeks, indicates she's abducted, then surfaces as Muslim

TEL AVIV – Hamas-linked militants kidnapped and forcibly converted to Islam a female Christian professor in the Gaza Strip, according to the professor's family and officials from Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah organization.

Tied??? No. McCain is losing big time.
The media wants to hide McCain's problems so badly. But McCain is losing much worse than what they are putting on, and at this time is set to lose.

State polls are showing that McCain is losing in too many states for a GOP candidate. Click on my name to read my blog where I explain it.

Its time to focus on the House of Represenatives like never before. Smart conservatives everywhere should drop the McCain/Obama stuff and start promoting congress big time. Make 2008 all about congress. If not then 2010 definately will be all about congress, but don't wait until then. The time is now.

The media
is agast that Obama isn't further ahead in the polls. MadDog Matthews had a whole segment on it last night. The media likes to measure the effects of it's propoganda by polls. The puppeteers behind Obama have thier hands full trying to keep their donors happy and penetrating the larger middle class in this country. As bad a candidate overall as McCain is, his proposals don't scare anybody and voters may simply choose to go with a known quanity even unenthusiastically.Obama saying yesterday one of his goals being to get rid of nukes is right out of the far left handbook.People don't want this country weakened militarily.Obama's domestic plan basically boils down to more taxes and social benefits. You'd also see a lot of social behavior modification items like a national smoking ban and transfat bans. He'd raise food stamps even though that classof people face an obesity crisis which will cost hundreds of billions in medical costs down the road.People eat themselves onto social security disability.McCain's problem is getting people to the polls and he has to depend on negative turnout, which I think will be pretty high.I also think the mortgage meltdown will expose many Dems who looted the system of high salaries and bonuses.

The Next GOP Viagra Salesman
Win or lose, John McCain will be selling pills for limp noodles before the year is even over.

Why the race is tied...
B. Hussein Obama brings a whole new meaning to the label of flip-flopper. Here's hoping he is 'swift-boated' to the very bottom of the fetid swamp of lies and fraud that is his campaign. Senator Zero seems to have a somewhat broad support until you remove the never-show-up-on-election-day youth vote and the nattering nabobs in the national media who have had a 'tingling leg syndrome' for this pied piper candidate since he made one big speech in 2004...the year that the Dims again went down to defeat against an unpopular incumbent ... 'say what?
I do not believe the support ror the charlatan from Chicago runs deep...and those joining the ranks of the disaffected, disappointed and disillusioned are growing daily, which is why the Messiah candidate with all the big names endorsing him is barely holding his own against a maverick senator 25 years his senior who has yet to mobilize his own party on his behalf.
Senator O, the next 'really big thing,' is just another smarmy, lying, "say anything and throw anybody under the bus to get elected" politician from the crucible of tainted and corrupt politics - Chicago. Maybe America will finally wake up in time to prevent the greatest political debacle in a century - electing this neophyte radical-loving do-nothing fraud to the highest office in the land. There's still plenty of time...
I never thought I'd find myself in such agreement with Dick Morris, but today I do...

Dick
The race is not "Tied".Yesterday, I e-mailed Mr.Obama's campaign and advised him to stop spending money on ads. Why?Because he will win regardless. The money he has, should be given to Senate and House candidates. The political "Circus" created by people like you will not be "FED" this time.If Americans are so "Stupid", that they elect a "Past his Prime" candidate, then let them have him.AT 46, Mr.Obama has time on his side. Also, his campaign has served as a tool of education to the young,well-educated and affluent. How can he "Lose",when he has already won?

To Virginia Patriot
In arguing for voting for almost unheard of third party candidates, you are focusing on one issue (immigration) and disregarding the consequences -- your effective aidng and abeting the election of a very left wing Barack Obama to the Presidency in which position much damage will be done to the country.

Obama is an anti-military socialist, who will increase government spending and thus taxes, take steps to undercut victory in Iraq, pursue appeasement policies in foreign affairs, seek outright amnesty in immigration, promote pro-abortion policies and nominate left wing judges to the federal bench.

John McCain is a pro-life fiscal conservative who served his country as a Navy combat aviator and P.O.W., who has been a fiscal hawk and will cut Government spending, who has been right all along on Iraq and will insist on victory in Iraq, who is highly qualified to be Commander in Chief, who has been and will be a hawk in foreign policy, who will cut the corporate tax rate to spur business, who accepts the judgment of the majority of American people that law enforcement in immigration must come first (the same was said to La Raza) and who pledged to the Federalist Society in January 2007 and thereafter that he will nominate strict constructionists to the U.S. Supreme Court.

I have two sons in the military, and I am voting for John McCain in part because he is the most qualified candidate in some time to be Commander in Chief. If you are indeed a "patriot," then I would suggest thinking about what is best for the country at this time of conflict with the radical jihadists. It is NOT throwing your vote away on third party candidates who are not ready to be Commander in Chief anyway and effectively helping Obama to the Presidency.

Morris has it about right.
I think Morris is correct the Democrats are on the wrong side of this domestic drilling issue.

It may be we cannot drill our way out of dependence upon foreign oil, but we sure as hell can lessen that dependence.

I have said this before. Democrats are vulnerable here.

It resonates with Americans, reminding them every day when they gas up their vehicles.

The republicans would have been in a far stronger position had Bush not been so obsessed over Iraq, and had prioritized the issue of energy(after retaliating for 9/11).

But he didn't.

Even so, with Obama's gaffes, high gasoline prices do allow McCain a chance here.

The nation overwhelmingly favors domestic drilling.

Where are the flip-flop ads?
This guy's had more flip-flops than Wal-Mart!

Don't Waste Your Vote
Vote for the Constitution Party's candidate, Charles Baldwin. The reason that this is such close presidential race is there's not a nickel's worth of difference between these two, bHussein Obama and McShamesty. Being a Navy pilot is not qualifications for the presidency, besides that was forty years ago, McCane is very old and a cancer patient, and supports amnesty for the illegals, and he admits he knows nothing about financial matters, and bHussein Obama is just an empty suit from the liberal democrat ghettos of Illinois. The US needs fresh and strong patriot blood. Nows the time to show Washington DC that we aren't taking any more of their crapola and we will not follow the Pied Pipers to our destruction. Voting for the lesser of two evils you will still elect evil. Don't waste your vote on the two people who care not the least about the people of this country and our sovereignty.
Vote for Chuck Baldwin. You can check him out at his party's website.

Close Race Works for the Media
The media manipulates the facts, just as politicians do, to further their own individual cause. It is in the best interest for this race to be close. Evidence of their manipulation is everywhere, starting with McCain's early part of the campaign.

Case in Point: McCain was getting his butt whipped by everyone. The mainstream press likes McCain so they let up on him to give his numbers a chance to rise, which they do...and Wallah! He's their guy and he's running for the Repubs...

Everyone with an ounce of intellectual capacity knows Obama hasn't done anything to qualify him as President of the US...however, the mainstream press love him because he is one of them...liberal, full of great ideas (and no realistic plan), a black man (so they say...I'm 1/32 Cherokee Indian...but my skin color doesn't delcare me an Indian), and no one cares whether or not Obama says anything of sustenance because what he says is said so well and he's "so cute"...

It'll be interesting to see if the general electorate comes out to vote like the "Dem's" did in their primaries...I'm thinking they will and the race won't be close then...It'll be a great show...someone please pass the popcorn.

Glad to see . . .
Morris has stopped trying to predict the future, and has taken to explaining the past. Of course, he's still wrong.

Morris would have us believe that Obama is losing ground by moderating his positions and moving center, thus alienating libs. Not likely.

More likely,

His "moderations" have shown him to be a typical politician - not a messiah that will transform the nature of politics. The soft - mostly apolitical center of the country is feeling that if it's going to be politics as usual - may as well be with a guy who's known and experienced.

Even if he is dull as a board, and economically illiterate.

So why is it that
no one is mentioning another weird Obamaism: On July 3 in Colorado he mentioned that when he becomes president he will, in essence, de-fund our military, increase spending for the Peace Corps and Americorps, and form a new citizen police group (kinda like they have in China, and what was seen in Nazi Germany, by my take). Is he implying that our military can't be trusted in our own country to maintain national security? What exactly would this citizen group look like and, does anyone else feel shades of Russia before the conversion hanging over America?

PS Bryce, you're being naive and simplistic.

gus
Nice post.

I mostly agree.

On nature programs, however, I always find myself rooting for the lion, not the hyena.

Repubs or Dems? I have another choice!
I'm astonished to see the number of people who still think that the only choices are either Republicans or Democrats. Neither party has a sound position, which is why I began supporting the Constitution Party (www.constitutionparty.com) three years ago!

Their presidential candidate, Chuck Baldwin (www.baldwin2008.com), is my candidate of choice, having excellent answers and strategies for many of America's problems today.

Take a minute and check them out. You'll be glad you did!

the mouth
IT SEEMS SILLY TO HAVE TO TELL GROWN PEOPLE THIS-DON' WATCH HIS LIPS ,LISTEN TO WHAT HE HAS TO SAY OR NOT SAY-THE WORDS SPEW OUT AND ITS A TALE WRITTEN BY AN IDIOT SIGNIFING NOTHING AS THE BARD WOULD SAY

Scott Rasmussen Poll
Rasmussen is a BIASED POLL. Don't believe all the polls without checking them out.

I searched the web for the Scott Rasmussen. the first site I was asked to vote for Hillary or McCain. Obviously an old site. But I voted then I was then asked if I wanted to recieve advertisements from a group of companies. To validate my vote I had to signify yes or no and had to agree to receiving future mailings from the rasmussen site. Didn't want that so I didn't vote.

Second Rasmussen site had a another poll. when I marked my choice the site popped an opportunity to donate to McCain to validate your vote. HUMMM. Don't think many liberals are express their opinions on that poll. Surprising Obama got any votes at all!

Current Polls
really do not mean much.
Liberals should not start posting any victory predictions yet. The many incidents of Obama's excessive baggage have not hit the fan yet. Any other candidate with the slightest hint of associations similar to Obama, plus 157 or so days in Congress prior to running, would be off the cliff by now.
He can get all huffy about Afghanistan but never called one session as head of a congressional sub committee formed to study the situation. Americans are pretty savvy people when they see real danger - they will rise to the occasion.

Face it, folks...
the Democrats are hoping the average American electorate are stupid enough to buy a pig in a poke, complete with "pay no attention to the man behind the screen.

Vote a known commodity, Vote McCain.

.

B.O. moves to the center..
at high speed. Apparently, he is taking a leaf out of the Bill Clinton playbook, move to the center and take away the Republican's thunder. He is flip-flopping like a hooked fish. It is an Obamanation!

How many people care about this list?
Can Dick and Eileen be fooling themselves? As a staunch supporter of Barack I don't let the conservative media operating through the main stream media define Obama or his position for me, and I'm not that strong minded. It's not rocket science to understand that the conservative media operating through the mainstream media is trying to define Obama as a "flip-flopper," but it's easy to see that this is a total distortion and fantasy wish of the conservative media as it operates through the main stream media. (If you don't know that Novak, Will, Malkin and others can be found in most any daily paper you are truly deaf, dumb and blind).

The people who support Obama support him. The people who dont support him don't. Is Dick & Eileen saying that independents have suddenly made this switch? More likely this is just a polling anomaly and will show Obama back with a seven point lead tomorrow morning.

vector rector
You do very well to ask questions about his plans to decimate the military. He has said that we could always look to forces like NATO should the need arise. See, in his worldview, we'd have to because we'd be part of the UN.
(Oh, and of course there would be peace all over if he were in charge. I'm just afraid of how it would be brought about).

It was for me a red flag that went up very early. Nothing I've heard since has changed my mind about him.

I'm ready for a black president....
just not THIS black president.

Unzip Obama, and out steps Jimmy Carter wearing Karl Marx's jammies. No thanks.

The coming flop on Iraq
McCain should ask Obamer if he thinks it would be worth the life of just one more American Serviceman to secure Iraq against the return of al Qaeda and Iran. If he says "No", then it exposes Obama as a true Defeatist. If he says, "yes", then McCain should ask if it would be worth the loss of only two more soldiers to win in Iraq. Another "yes" and the question goes to 5 more, 10 more, 100 more, etc. thereby illustrating that Success is really important and contrary to the position Obama took during the Primaries. Either way, it exposes Obama to criticism from either his opponents or his base, but would serve to flush him out on the issue.

don't kid yourself
The election is over, it does not matter, McCain is wasting time, he should concede the election. Obama will be president no matter what McCain says, does, who is veep choice is. No matter how right McCain may be, or how great he is. America has decided Obama will win the election. All he has to do is move more to the center and give speeched.
