Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

Make no mistake about it: If Hillary Clinton is elected president, her husband will be her rogue co-president, causing constant chaos, crises and conflicts for her new administration.

And sometimes, that will be exactly what Hillary wants.

Chaos is Bill Clinton’s signature style and he’s not about to suddenly change. No way.

Nor does Hillary necessarily want him to be a new Bill. In many ways, his divisive role in her campaign has been carefully crafted by Hillary and her team. It might come in useful in the White House, too.

Throughout Hillary’s campaign, Bill has given us an unfortunate preview of what we can expect of him in the White House. And, it’s not a pretty picture.

Forget about the elder statesman, the international philanthropist, the charming idealist. Those veneers, carefully created and promoted in the past eight years, were washed away by the race-baiting, snarling, finger-waving, press-bashing partisan who talks about himself for hours at a time. And because of YouTube, voters have had the novel experience of personally witnessing the Clinton meltdowns on video without the sometimes cleansing intermediaries of the national press. It is one thing to read that Bill Clinton confronted a reporter; it is quite another thing to see the red-faced former president angrily pointing his finger in the face of a journalist who dared to ask him a legitimate question. For the first time, the public is seeing the Bill Clinton known to anyone who has ever worked for him.

But don’t think that Bill wasn’t working from a carefully plotted script, personally approved by Hillary. He was. He was the designated hit man. And Hillary and her aides didn’t even bother to hide their glee at his escalating personal attacks on Obama. Gravely misunderstanding the mood of the electorate, they believed it was a great strategy, and patted themselves on the back as they leaked the story of their own brilliance. As the New York Times reported:

"Advisers to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton say they have concluded that Bill Clinton’s aggressive politicking against Senator Barack Obama is resonating with voters, and they intend to keep him on the campaign trail in a major role after the South Carolina primary.”

So we can assume that Hillary approved the use of the race card and thought that it would work. She was wrong. Very wrong. After universal condemnation (well, almost universal — Hillary has never criticized him) for his antics in New Hampshire and South Carolina, Clinton has now quieted down. The Obama endorsements by Caroline and Ted Kennedy dramatically stunned the Clintons. They had no idea of what was coming, but immediately understand the enormity of the defection. So, they’ve retooled and Bill is now earnestly playing the supportive spouse who stays on message. But that’s just an act. His shelf life in that role is extremely limited. And when Hillary wants another attack dog, she’ll call on Bill — whether it’s in the campaign or the White House, if she gets there.

But there’s more to worry about with Bill. His temper has always been there, even if it was carefully hidden from the public. But his thirst for big bucks that has le d him to dubious new endeavors is a new development that can cause trouble for Hillary.

At the core of Bill Clinton is a bold recklessness that cannot be harnessed. That inherent quality about him, combined with his arrogance and certitude leads him to test all boundaries. As a result, he involves himself in questionable financial deals, partners with inappropriate businesses and ignores blatant conflicts of interest. These arrangements will cause serious problems for a Hillary Clinton presidency.

Consider the case of Kazakhstan. The U.S. State Department has described the election of its current president as one that was filled with anti-Democratic procedures that prevented opposition parties and candidates from participating in the election. All power in the government is concentrated in the president and there is widespread corruption. There is one opposition member in the Parliament. Human rights violations are rampant. Freedom of the press does not exist.

Yet, in late 2006, as his wife was laying the ground work for a presidential race and serving in the U.S. Senate, Bill Clinton flew on a lavish private plane to the former Soviet State and met with its President, Nursultan A. Nazarbayev, known best for eliminating all opposition in his country. In the short time that he was there, Clinton promoted Nazarbayev for chairman of a U.N. committee – a position that the United States government, and his own wife, had opposed. That made no difference to Clinton. Of course, he never mentioned anything at all about the rampant human rights violations.

Clinton was there as the guest of Frank Giustra, a Canadian billionaire who wanted to buy the country’s uranium rights. Although he had no experience in this area of the world, he was suddenly awarded the contract which the New York Times termed a "monster deal…. [that] suddenly transformed the company into the world’s largest uranium producers."

Clinton made sure that the Kazahstan President understood that Giustra and Clinton were an item.

After the deal was closed, Clinton’s foundation received a $31 million contribution from Giustra and a pledge of another $100 million.

What’s wrong with that? Well, aside from deliberately and publicly undermining the articulated policy of the United States government, Bill Clinton traded his power and his prestige in exchange for an unprecedented contribution to his foundation, which refuses to release the names of its donors. Clinton has considerable latitude in how the foundation funds are spent and the foundation board is filled with his cronies.

But there’s something else: Bill Clinton’s conduct raises a serious question about whether any other promises were made that might relate to favors that could be done by a future Clinton administration. Whether there were any promises or not, it just doesn’t look g ood. It’s an inappropriate role for an ex-president. Did Kazakhstan make a contribution to the library, too?

Bill Clinton’s contacts with that country didn’t stop with the short visit. After Hillary announced her candidacy for president, Giustra arranged for Clinton to meet with a government representative from Kazakhstan at his Chappaqua home to discuss the government’s plan to buy a 10 percent stake in Westinghouse. At first, Clinton and Guistra denied any such meeting, but then the government representative, who had earlier handled the uranium matter, produced a photo showing him at the Clinton home with the former president.

No wonder Clinton lied about it. He knows that he should not be meeting with representatives of foreign governments who need favors in Washington — favors that could be delivered by his wife if she becomes president.

Then there’s the issue of Bill’s financial partnership with the Em ir of Dubai and his buddy Ron Burkle. Should the husband of a presidential candidate — or even a U.S. senator — be in business with the head of a foreign country with growing interests in the U.S.?

The answer is NO. Bill knows that — that’s why he’s trying to get a $20 million buy-out. Should we be wondering what he did for all that money?

Finally, there’s Bill’s ‘consulting’ for InfoUSA, an Iowa company that is under investigation for creating telemarketing lists used to fleece the elderly out of their life’s savings. He’s made millions from the company and has still not terminated his contract.

And his foundation has received $10 million from the Saudi government and millions from Dubai and other countries.

Do they expect something in exchange?

The first thing that Bill Clinton needs to do is release the names of every donor to his library. The voters have a ri ght to know who is paying his bills.

Bill Clinton will definitely be a problem for a Hillary Clinton presidency. Remember when he was advising Dubai on how to get the Port Deal done while she was opposing the contract?

Look for lots more of that.

There’s no question that Bill Clinton’s recent public and private behavior have been extremely unbecoming for an ex-president and would be equally so for a co-president. And there’s no reason to think he’ll change.

At last night’s Democratic presidential debate, Hillary Clinton was bluntly asked what Bill Clinton would be like in a Hillary Clinton White House. Not surprisingly, she never really answered the question.

Hillary’s ignored the question and, instead, talked about how thrilled she is to have her husband campaigning for her, while insisting that but that she will be the president and the only one who makes decisions in the White House.

Even if were true that she made all of the final decisions, that would not stop Bill Clinton from stepping into the role of rogue co-president. He’s been trying out for the part for the past few months and has succeeded with flying colors.

The American presidency isn’t just about making decisions; it’s about setting examples, avoiding conflicts of interest, creating positive perceptions, unifying the electorate.

Those are not Bill’s strong points. His appalling conduct in South Carolina stunned even the strongest Clinton partisans.

Playing the race card was not something that anyone ever expected from Bill Clinton. But people underestimate Bill’s sense of purpose: He wants his wife elected president and he wants to be back in the White House. To rewrite his legacy, he’ll do anything.

And then once he gets there, he’ll be a rogue co-president who Hillary won’t even begin to be able to control.

The only good thing about Hillary's
nomination is that enough cons. and Reps. are appalled by the Clintons to probably stop them from their goal. I even have dozens of usually NEA-sheep, following whatever the union says to do in public ed., who claim they would not vote for Hillary.

McCain may not be a cons.'s dream pres., but he has proven that he can both draw crossover Dem. votes and independents. The latter elected him in NH, and Reps. need those votes in national elections. Reagan only won his landslides due to "Reagan Democrats."

Hillary has lost it
Obama Ad Compared To Nazi March On Clinton Call?
Hillary has lost it

Politico-The Clinton campaign convened a conference call with health policy experts to denounce Obama’s new mailer, which attacks Clinton’s plan for “forcing” Americans to sign up for insurance, and which features a couple at a kitchen table that recalls, for some, the famous insurance-industry-financed “Harry and Louise” ads against the original Clinton plan.

“I am personally outraged at the picture used in this mailing,” said Len Nichols of the New America Foundation, a leading supporter of mandatory insurance, who called it a “Harry and Louise evocation.”

“It is as outrageous as having Nazis march through Skokie, Ill.,” Nichols said. “I just find it disgusting that this kind of imagery is being used to attack the only way to get to universal coverage.”

Romney v. McCain (Romney = Hillary)
I get many do not like or trust McCain. I respect that--McCain deserves a good horse whipping at CPAC for some of his positions in the past. I don't like some of McCain's positions either, but Mitt Romney is the better candidate in the election? Where does that come from, listening to Hugh Hewitt? Mitt has had essentially every opportunity, outspent his competition 10:1, and has still lost the GOP primaries to McCain. What makes them think Romney would do better with independents and x-over democrats which he absolutely needs to win the general? Mitt can barely get decent numbers with Republicans (and still loses to McCain). Do a little research on state by state electoral college numbers, McCain can put blue states like Pennsylvania, Maryland and others in play. McCain wins purple states like New Mexico. Romney will not win those blue and purple states and puts red states like Virginia at risk.

McCain has a compelling story and career (frankly a lot more compelling than Bob Dole's). I respect Romney is a successful business and family man, but I want a president with brass balls. We are at war. Sometimes even Hillary has more of that mojo quality than Romney (and I definitely do not want Hillary as president).

What makes McCain scary to conservatives, makes him electable in the general. Hence the reason some conservatives are freaking out. Focus on Phil Gramm, Jack Kemp, Tom Coburn, and Ted Olson, and for that matter Rudy, and Fred (maybe even Mitt) who will be there to advise and counsel McCain. McCain may not be perfect, but he can win the general and will be a far better president (for conservatives) than Hillary and Obama. Mitt Romney will lose.

P.S.-- Ann Coulter is a disgrace. She should be denounced by all conservatives. Her crazy self promotion does not help the conservative movement at all. Here she is confirming (again) she will vote for Hillary or Obama over McCain. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erMa0F_DCJE

Same old 'dog and pony show"
FTA~~But people underestimate Bill’s sense of purpose: He wants his wife elected president and he wants to be back in the White House. To rewrite his legacy, he’ll do anything.~~
That quote from the article is about as true as any statement I have EVER heard or seen in print.
I think we all know, NOW, that Hillary does not care what Bill does or says...it has worked for them till now, so shy change anything? They are not now nor have they ever been a couple in the true sense of the word.
However, her useful idiots will vote her in simply to !!GET BILL BACK!!...morons go willingly to the slaughter without even knowing that they are about to be done in. "IGNORANCE IS BLISS!"

Billary - Unconstitutional
I think the endorsement of Sen. Ted Kennedy and Caroline Kennedy speaks volumes. I took notice of the endorsement because it was a signal that something is going on with the Clintons that we would only find out during the general election. I am thinking it has something to do with Hsu and other relationships Bill Clinton has developed since he left office. Morris, I definitely feel that you know what the REAL problem is and have only been hinting at it. I suggest you come on with it.

Finally, it disturbs to me to no end that an ex-President is running WITH his wife for a 3rd even though the constitution clearly forbids a three-term president. It is clear that Bill Clinton is mentally disturbed. I still wonder if the real reason for the impeachment was Bill Clinton's mental incapacity especially the Lewinsky saga. Did Hillary Clinton assume his presidential duties in violation of the Constitution, which clearly gives that role to the vice president. Since Billary is running as a co-presidency (in violation of our constitution) I think the American people have a right to know 1) if Bill Clinton was mentally incapacitated during his presidency? 2) and what role his wife played to cover it up? and 3) if Al Gore was aware of the problem, what efforts did he make to try and address it constitutionally?

Joe, you are so right
McCain can win the general election.

That's all Reps. should be concerned about, because the alternative is stomach curdling.

What if .....
Just wishing / wondering - What if we held the 2008 Presidential election and no one voted due to the stinch of the candidates? I may not be able to vote this year since I started voting in the early 60's. This is one heck of way to feel - one I never had before! God save our nation - please!

McCain is nice
Oh please don't pull my braids
and throw my sack lunch in a mud puddle!

Fortunately McCain has McMentum
Because he is the only GOP canidate who can win the general right now.

McCain builds momentum as we head into the weekend. He gains former Rudy backer and ex-Massachusetts Governor Paul Cellucci (and decides to make Romney sweat in his home state) and also nabs former Rudy advisor Steve Forbes. (Fiscal conservatives can argue whether Forbes or McCain advisor Phil Gramm would make a better Treasury Secretary.) Finally, the McCain team advises the media that in the excruciatingly complicated Louisiana caucuses (in which an uncommitted pro-life slate initially won), the delegates have now selected McCain. He nabs 41 of 47 of the state’s delegates.

Little by little the pieces fall into place. Looking at the latest polling I see Mitt Romney leading only in Massachusetts, Colorado and Utah. In many Red states he runs third to MIke Huckabee. It is quite possible Huckabee will gain more delegates than Romney on Tuesday.

http://www.commentarymagazine.com/blogs/index.php/rubin/225 9

Huckabee may win more delegates on Tuesday than Romney? Hugh, I smell the toast burning....

Bill
looks really OLD. Surprisingly, he's aged much worse than Hillary.

Cons. should not threaten
to stay home like some little kids leaving the game and taking their marbles with them because they don't like the Rep. candidate for pres.

There is no choice except to vote, because the whackos on the left are starving and thirsting to get back at the public trough and ram through more 19th C. socialism so they can control even more power and more lives.

If you don't vote, you've given the libs. the farm.

I'm Staying Home...

Yup, I'm staying home right after I vote for the Republican nominee.

I sure wouldn't want to be out driving after the Republicans win again. The Ambulances will need clear roads to pick up all the Hippies having strokes :)

As King Lib sayeth,
"Everytime a conservative says 'I'm not going to vote,' and angel gets his wings."

For Sale-1600 Pennsylvania Ave.-see Bill
One can only imagine, after being reminded of the insanity of the first Clinton regime, what might takeplace in the White House should "the Cackle" be elected. Asking Madam Cackle a direct question about anything is a total waste of time, there will only be waffling and half-truths for your trouble. The question she was asked about Billy is very serious and pertinent, based on his past exploits and she should be forced to provide some ground-rules or boundaries, and how they will be enforced, at the very least. Hopefully, a more thorough examination of Madam Cackle's non-answer will be forthcoming, if not, then the American people will be the losers, especially the Democrats who lust for truth, rather than idoltry.

My fear
is the voters are not giving a very close look at John McCain or asking questions. The behavior and actions of this man is that of someone with serious mental problems. When Thad Cochran says "the though of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine," its something to think about. Sen. Cochrane is a pretty dependable, savvy man. There's a group of very worried Congressmen and Senators, whether they have the courage to challenge the establishment is another thing but think of the damage other madmen have done. He's on record as screaming and pointing at POW/MIA hearing testifiers so that the sister of one missing man was reduced to tears. There are all of his other legislative warts but maybe his maverick persona is more of his being certifiably nuts. I don't believe he should be given a pass because of his
POW days, that was 40 years ago, today is today and do we want our children to pay for putting this man in such awesome power? Tells you something when his colleagues are worried.

Sam
"Then you can fly to IRAQ and drop dollars out of helicopters too."

Wasn't that already done? We have lost billions in Iraq in cash, and it would have been better to drop all of it from the sky. Instead it went to Halliburton and Blackwater.

So what would be different if the next president dropped billions? We're currently on track to lose a couple/few trillion and I'm looking to save money by moving to Canada before we have to pay the piper. Right now my family is looking at more than $30,000. How much does your family owe?

John McCain second MexAmerica President
President Bush was the first MexAmerica President of the North American Union, but Juan McCain could be the second.

What travesty, the great late United States of America coupled with Mexico. Our civil war, civil rights, and our Constitution all for nothing!

Idiotic RINO core of the Republican party. We are gonna get what we deserve, and you RINO loving libby Republican core are to blame.

El Presidente numero dos Juan McCain

We're Screwed
No matter how you slice it. What a fundamentally flawed way of selecting nominees. The media decide who is a real candidate, who's in the lower tiers, and who has momentum. What a farce.

I'm in favor of holding a one-day primary election in all states where only those registered for a party can vote in that party's primary.

Of course the shameless Democrats will all switch parties so they can be the turds in the punchbowl. There are no depths to which the Democrats won't sink.

I have a right to vote
for no one. A non-vote is indeed a real vote. It means I vote to not accept someone I cannot accept being crammed down my throat. Why is it OK for Congressmen and Senators to regularly abstain from voting, but some say it is not ok for everyone else?

I will not vote for McCain or Hillary.

Contradiction
The other night in the Democratic debate when Hillary was asked about Bill's recent performance she immediately compared him to Michelle Obama, for which I am sure Michelle would have liked to smack her upside the head. But what I haven't heard anybody ask Hillary is the following---see imagined dialog:

Hillary: I have much experience gained during our White House years.
Interviewer: But you weren't President, you were First Lady. So how did you get this experience?
Hillary: I sat in on Cabinet meetings. I participated in every major decision. In fact, I was present at the Creation.
Interviwer: So, you mixed in a lot. And yet you say that if you are President, you will be the sole Honcho and Bill won't be mixing in. Do you really expect us to believe that?

Every time she talks about her Washington "experience", she is confessing a past co-presidency. Then she turns around and says she won't have a co-presidency.

I keep thinking of possible scenes if this were a movie. Here is my favorite:

Hillary is elected President then at the Inauguration Ball she tells Bill she is divorcing him and has the Secret Service escort him out of town.

Please, Investigate Away

Y'know, those dealings of Mr. Clinton in Khazakistan, Dubai, and with InfoUSA do indeed sound dubious, at least as Morris and McCann breathlessly spill them out to us. By all means investigate away, and while you're at it please check into all those Bush family ties with the Saudi Royalty, too.

I'll bet you can hire Michael Moore! He can call it "BiPartisan Policy for Sale", or something like that.

flaming multi culturalist
the same charges have been covered by the wall street journal as well as clinton's ties to dubai and the ports deals. Or do you think those many millions clinton has accumulated from the oild sheiks is also a similar fantasy.

Waaaa Waaaaa sob sniff Waaaa
Rouge Co-President. Hillary can handle Bill. He learned his lesson, and have you heard of any problem since Monica gate? No.

Ironically if Bill would have use the Karl Rove defense (I lost the emails) or Gonzalez defense ("I don't remember the time I don't remember I said I did not remember") and just told congress investigating his midnight hummer, that it was private & Presidential privileged information, he would be fine. WHO TOLD HIM TO testify with fingers cross and a new definition of sex. (Actually he really did not have intercourse did he.)

IT WAS HIS ADVISER.... wait for it .... Dick Morris! Dick told Bill to lie!

Heck the Republicans are chasing little boys, having gay bathroom sex and putting on diapers and calling hookers. The Republicans make Bill look quint and boy scout like.

I AM NOT WORRIED ABOUT BILL, Go Hill Hill you rock my cackling little Dem moderate. Even Ann Coulter endorse her!

Dick Morrass, what a putz. He is always making predictions and THEY NEVER ARE RIGHT. Even Bill O'Reilly who is clueless, gets it right more than DICK, a so called political expert.

Why does Dick Morass put his name and his Mothers name on his articles. It's not like its a lot of work or even well written or thought out, that it takes two people to do it. How lame.

I heard Dick Morris was caught with a hooker. That is why his wife/mom gets billing on the article.

Well, at least we'll know what to expect
If Hillary wins.

Namely, Bill once more turning the White House into his private bordello, while Hillary continues plotting the total destruction of Western Civilization on the grounds that its existence annoys her.

I believe it was William Safire who once observed that the problem with Bill and Hillary was that he's dangerously stupid and she's stupidly dangerous.

Oh, and don't bother buying gold or silver; I expect that one of the Hildebeast's first moves will be to reestablish FDR's 1934 prohibition of ownership of either one by anybody except duly-licensed precious-metals dealers- and the government.

As a certain baseball team manager once said, it's going to be "Deja vu' all over again."

In more ways than one.

cheers

You're easily reminded of a woman, you see one every time you look in the mirror!

"just told congress investigating his midnight hummer, that it was private & Presidential privileged information, he would be fine."

Congrats, you just posted the stupidest thing I've ever read on TH. You've even surpassed Robert. Maybe you ARE Robert. WOBBIE, you switching back and forth with handles again?

You seem to forget a DNA stained blue dress, size 28, and a little thing called lying under oath. It's called Perjury. Class A felony, usually worth 2-5 in the slammer.

BTW ALL
I've posted the CONTACT INFORMATION on the a**clowns out in Bezerkely who want the Marine recruiter station OUT of there. They would like to hear your thoughts via email.

Also, drop Sen DeMint a kudos for writing legislation that, if passed, yanks 2 million dollars of Fed Money from the lib-commies.

(Kudos to Michelle Malkin for posting the email addresses!)

SUCK THAT UP WOBBIE and TR!

Well said. You are my hero!

Dang you, GunnyG
You just said Jetpilot was stupider than Robert. So naturally, i went back and read a couple of their posts to see if you were right. Now i ask you.....How did you make a decision? Neither one made any statement that could be considered the result of intelligence, of disagreement or support of any other statement on the thread. Sometimes 4 or 5 words in a row started to look like they might be going somewhere, but no coherent thought emerged. How did you compare nothing with nothing? All the posts on all the threads all over the world, and i read Robert and Jetpilot. Round up the usual suspects, and play it, Sam.

Just look up a definition of stupid and its adjectival forms and there are three pictures, Rockhead J. Squirrel, Hal Doofus, and jetpilot

What's really ironic about those three, is that they sceam and yell about not using the Ad Hominem attack, then immediately use it themselves.

Bill Clinton
Bill Clinton is a child. He's always been a child, he'll always be a child. He wants what he wants when he wants it, and this time around, he wants his mommy/wife to get it for him.

I can't believe that people are seriously considering putting these two back in the White House.

He couldn't behave himself when he was President. My gosh, what could we expect from him now.

IF HILLARY WINS

.....Will the press refer to it as the "Hillbilly" Administration? .....COLOSSUS

Bill's activities
in the past seven years are just a continuation of an old policy: Husbands and wives of senators and representatives get paid for their ability and experience. Throw into the mix that he's an ex-president and possibly the future First Gentleman and he's irresistible.

Wendy Gramm, Marion Javits -- I'm sure we could come up with zillions more if we tried.

If Hillary becomes president, Bill will, in truth and in fact, be a co-president, but he won't stop his deal-making and influence-peddling. He will have no boundries, no limits place on his activities. He will be able to meddle anywhere he wants and make any promises me needs to make to get a deal done. All out of reach of any meaningful oversight or control.

Bill may be concerned about his place in history, as some have said. I think his real concern right now is to get back to the center of power and money. I also think he will do anything to do it.

Thank you for your observations about the Clintons. There are plenty of levelheaded Democrats out there who cannot stand the Clintons' tactics - particularly now that they have been turned on fellow Democrats!

Probably not true
I don't believe that Bubba will last in the WH and I don't believe he will be a "co-president", either. And it won't have a thing to do with his behaving like a goat. That didn't bother Hillary much the first time around, and will probably bother her even less this time.

What will get him kicked out, will be the first time the press starts talking about how HE is leading. I hope Hillary doesn't believe that most of her supporters want HER- it's HIM they want back. Given the fact that this woman's ego is every bit as big as her worthless husband's, I predict that she won't STAND for it. She will spend the first half reminding every one that it is SHE who is "god"- not him. Ole' BillyBoy will then become some kind of "international ambassador of good will" or something equally useless.

Let's start a pool! I say 6 months- tops.

Barry
You bring up something really scarey. Previous abuses of having a personal relationship tot he president abound, like that Clinton brother in law or something who sold pardons during the last couple weeks of their admin. But Slick Willy??? Omigod. I can see that Real Estate sign on the WH lawn already.

robyn
but not bubba is the power dynamic in the relationship. He is viewed as having saving her floundering campaign. Plus her empty personality cannot stand the assault of his overriding narcissitic behavior. At any meeting people will automatically look to him first as having the status of being the former president. I doubt her whining and temper will win her many points on policiy issues. Together they are the clintons, apart they are no more than two selfish individuals easily distracted and capable of being taken off their carefully scripted message

Who's the Boss?
A majority of Hillary supporters bak her as a way to have every Democrat's wet dream: a third term for Bill Clinton (despite that pesky Constitution). But will that be what they get?

Given that the Clintons have publicly differed on policy matters, one must wonder how Hillary will decide issues where they disagree, and how Bill will take it.

I don't think for two seconds that she will be Bill's puppet, but I worry that he may publicly undermine her. His opinion will carry a lot more weight than any previous First Lady, and could seriously damage her credibility.

I am no fan of Hillary Clinton, but I am a fan of the Presidency, and if you think Bill did damage as president, wait until you see what he does as "First Gentleman".

Outside chance prediction: we only have a "First Gentleman" for a limited time, followed by Hillary coming out of the closet.

cleverness
others have alledged that the missus clinton is keeping company with huma abedin and the campaign is keeping that relationship under wraps. But then the clintons have always attracted a devoted following that will sacrifice themselves to keep the clintons in power

Well, considering that Wobbie IS jetpilot, I stand corrected.

I just flipped through Webster's online and saw a picture of Wobbie next to the A**clown definition!

Savage99
But is it really WRONG, per se, to call an A**clown and A**clown.

Wobbie (using his various handles) comes here to troll and be called names. He likes it. Therefore, aren't we honorbound to help him out?

He likes it. We like it. We're the organ grinder and he (and HalD) are our monkeys.

Your compassionate side is extremely difficult to control, and you are forgiven for continually pounding the doggy doo out of the trolls. I had forgotten they like it. Your superior empathy and sensitivity has left me feeling like...like..some sort of Savage.

The Clintons
Make no mistake about it. These two are the dirtiest, most corrupt politicians who have ever held public office in the United States. Are you ready for more of it. If you support the Clintons in any way, do a little honest research for yourself.

The Clintons are about power and money
Wait until they get their hands on everyone's medical records through "universal healthcare." The 1000 IRS forms on their Rep. enemies that they kept in the White House safe will pale against the amount of secrets and blackmail they'll get their claws on when all your medical records are digitalized for national healthcare.

DUH
I wonder if Bill will still run around the World making million dollar speeches to TERRORIST supporting countrys bad mouthing the U.S.A because nothing will change if HITLERY becomes Pres. If you on here think Hitlery is going to bring the TROOPS home you smoking what BILL didnt ENHALE. Hitlery will not bt the President who LOST the WAR that LIBS in Congress already have stated is lost.

She will be the one who gets credit for WINNING the War in IRAQ.

HEED MY WORDS that HITLERY will become the next DICTATOR of the WORLD(SIOCIALIST AMERICA)

When she declares America as the new DYNASTY for Liberalism to the free world and lets 20 or so million ILLEGALS become FOOD STAMP.UNEMPLOYMENY FREE HOUSING, NON TAX-PAYERS and LIBERAL VOTERS then she will Change the Constitution to where a Person can run for President as much as they want. Word is that she wants to make the CLINTOONS the only family that is eligile to be PRESIDENTS.

Dont misunderstand the CLINTOONS agenda. THE CLINTONS THINK THEY OWN THE WHITE HOUSE. Well at least Hitlery does because she already has the FURNITURE to refurnish the WH

Camelot 2008
You have it right. Bill Clinton has Hillary running as his surrogate for a third term as President. Hillary is too stupid to know that she is being used but she always has been. People on these boards say "Hillary is using Bill to reach her political goals, that is why she stays with him". That I have never believed, Bill has thrown her a few financial crumbs from time to time and gotten her a few jobs but Bill has made her life totally subservient to his. He lies to her, and every one else; HE IS GOOD AT IT. Hillary is an unsuspecting dupe that is complicit in helping Bill circumvent the 22d amendment to the Constitution. They are criminals and everyone knows it--I am appalled it is over looked.

Will GunnyG call out Gator as well?
Liberal stupidity gets flamed with extreme prejudice but conservative stupidity usually goes unnoticed such as gator's last comment, so I must oblige.

Hitlery & Clintoons? Lame puns and name calling are for children, idiots, and Anne Coulter. There not funny. Grow up.

"...HEED MY WORDS that HITLERY will become the next DICTATOR of the WORLD(SIOCIALIST AMERICA)..."

So your saying she will be a dictator of the world which will be a socialist (I assume you meant socialist) America? Or will she be a dictator of the world after America becomes a socialist country? Or will America take over the world, become socialist, then she will be the dictator? Ouch, my head hurts now.

You spout all this crazy "Liberal Dynasty" stuff which will never happen, but I bet you roll your eyes when a liberal idiot (yes there are liberal idiots as well) spouts crazy "Cheney is the dark lord" stuff.

rogue co yo -prezzzz
Huh huh budddddiee

Now you know that was mean spirited

Most normal poeple would agree, you must be part of a vast right wing conspiracy!

Bill - just like all Americans plays hard and lives by the rules!

Shame on you!!!!!!!!!

lol!

if Obama wins will he move out of Harlem?

Is it just me . . . ?
Did anybody else glance at that picture of Bill with the brunette and think she was Monica Lewinsky?

Robert ur 2:35PM
I see my handle but none of my words--???

A Weird Election
Sadly at this point it appears McCain is well positioned to be the Republican nominee. It is hard to read the Dems and I could see either Clinton or Obama as their candidate. Clinton's negatives are so high it is hard to see her being elected. McCain is carrying so much baggage and is so loony it is hard to see him being elected. Sadly there are probably too many in the country that will not vote for a Black person of any political persuasion.

Regardless of who is elected we will move toward a more collectivist form of government. There is no popular movement with any strength that is pushing for government to do less and take less. When the president elect places a hand on the Bible and swears to protect and defend the Constitution there should be a round of laughter not applause.

Who would McCain put on the Court?
If you are concerned about the Supreme Court, please read this article before voting:

why would you be so stupid and crude to tell all of your desire to orally satisfy bubba. You truly need help if that is your lifes ambition

Just Another Terrorist...
"He had an eerily practiced, beatific smile, a secular philosophy that tamped down religious extremism, and an anti-communist bent that made him a key cold war ally for the U.S. Yet army general Suharto was also a brutal dictator who purged hundreds of thousands of critics as Indonesia's ruler from 1967 to 1998..." - TIME, 2-11-08.

The U.S.'s history is rife with examples like this. I don't know how the people here can claim to be so educated and not know this. You would think that if they were so sophisticated they would be immune by now to this tired, old holier-than-thou charade.

I am very angry about this country's support for dictators and terrorists, including Sadaam Hussein, as I have loved ones who have put their lives on the line for what this country is supposed to stand for.

I think its funny
that Dick and Eileen are still churning out bash-Hillary screeds like sausages out of a machine.

I would think that the last thing any level-headed Republican would want is for Hillary to lose the primaries - McCain would have a much better chance against her than Obama.

touj the simple minded
if you don't like the subjects find another place to spread your ignorance. The ricxh whitre boys who run the dim party are not about to turn over power to oblahma and their favorite minority, the blacks. The missus clinton will be the nominee and we will see the ugliest presidential campaign ever. The clintons are masters at dirty politics and are only satisfied when they destroy their opponents. But once the repubs respond, your phony candidate, the missus clinton will resort to her favorite role that she is being picked on because she is a woman, and will act the victim. But the media has shown they will ask the embarrassing question that the clinton's don't want to answer. But how does she defend her non existent resume. Even the left which has always given the clintons cover for all their behavior is angry over the clintons and their attacks on oblahma. That the clintons will seek to destroy a fellow dim raises many questions concerning the clintons return to the white house. But it won't matter to you, like the typical dim you will rally behind the clintons and give them all your support

Can Bill be Hiil's VP??
I know the Constitution states that the president can only hold office for two terms.

But is there anything in the Constitution that states that after a president has been in office for two terms he cannot thereafter be the vice-president?

If not, maybe Hillbilly is planning on having Bill as the VP on the ticket if Hill gets the democratic nod.

Am I missing something here?

No, he may not. In addition to the Constitutional requirements in Article II, which are be a native born thirty-five year old citizen who has resided within the actual territory of the US for 14 years, a VP nominee must not be constitutionally unable to fill the office of President. So in case of death or disability of the President, the VP can step in into the office or its duties. Wee Willie Weinie Wagger is Constitutionally unable to fill the office of POTUS because he falls under the provisions of the 22nd Amendment.

...

the 12th Amendment stops it.

Robert

No, the 12th Amendment does not. The 12th sets the method for electoral colege voting for President and Vice-President. That is, the electors are to vote separately for POTUS and VPOTUS, so as not to cause a repeat of the election of 1800 in which both Jefferson and Burr received 72 electoral votes. THe Democratic-Republican electors listed TJ first and Burr second assuming that the votes listed their preference for POTUS and VPOTUS in the order listed. Burr argued that the assumption could not be made, thus throwing the election to the House, where Jefferson won after getting the support of the Federalists and John Adams. Try reading John Ferling's "A Leap in the Dark" for further elucidation of this constitutional controversy.
It is the 22nd that sets term limits, and requirements for the offices.

You receive n F-----, Rockhead

Correction
The 12th does state that those Constitionally unable to be POTUS may not serve as VPOTUS.

Bill Clinton with nothing to do
I can't imagine what Bill Clinton will be like if he were to get back to the White House. He would have no more goals to keep his behavior in check. His scandals would dwarf his past scandals. Scary.

You are sick.

Well,
it's late so I am off to bed. Good night, all.

Robert's words od whizz-dom
I have been away for a while. I see Robert is still "grading" people here. What an arrogant twit. Are all liberals idiots, or all idiots liberals(an old saw)? Next Prez will no doubt be a single term, whether Billarry or McCan't. He will get old too fast and she is a fraud, just like Carter. My goal is retired bliss in survival mode, until 2012. Buy guns and ammo now, if it's Hillary, in November, she will come for them.

Robert
If in fact you ever served and had a DI, I'm sure you did hear "grow a pair" quite frequently.

I may not vote for president
BUT I will vote for Republican congressmen (& women) so we will have some control over the president! ABOVE ALL ELSE, WE MUST REGAIN THE CONGRESSIONAL MAJORITY IN BOTH HOUSES!!!!

Don't stay home in November - and you don't have to "hold your nose and vote" JUST BE SURE TO VOTE for Republican congressional members!

Billary
Something Mr. Morris did not mention:
If Hillary wins, Bill could very well be some sort of overseas ambassador. Imagine the national security nightmare when his serial philandering invites blackmail. I have no doubt at all that she would sell her country out to get him out of trouble. They are a couple of sociopaths who will stop at nothing to acquire and retain power.

Dynasty...
Sheesh- since 1988 the U.S. has experienced two families in the White House. 20 years- a generation- between Bush and Clinton- no wonder everyone is running on "change".

Can the US risk another 8 years of Clinton with Bill in the wings waiting for an appointment?
