Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

If we really inhabited a "post-racial" world, the news of the week would be that a Democrat has won the White House. But since we don't inhabit such a world, there is much more to the news, even more than that an African-American, far-left Democrat has won the White House.

The New York Times' Thomas Friedman clued us in the morning after, waxing rhapsodic (or something): "And so it came to pass that on Nov. 4, 2008, shortly after 11 p.m. Eastern time, the American Civil War ended, as a black man -- Barack Hussein Obama -- won enough electoral votes to become president of the United States. A civil war that, in many ways, began at Bull Run, Va., on July 21, 1861, ended 147 years later via a ballot box in the very same state."

As befitting a Pulitzer-Prize winner, Friedman was only just warming up ("For nothing more symbolically illustrated the final chapter of America's Civil War than the fact that" blah blah...). But there were others taking up a similar battle cry. Madeleine M. Kunin, former governor of Vermont (and, as she also bills herself, eternal "first woman governor" of Vermont) declared at the online Huffington Post that the election of Barack Obama "is, in a sense, the culmination of Lincoln's quest -- a more perfect union."

And, well, so it came to pass that in those earliest hours of the new era that Spike Lee went on MSNBC to tell us will heretofore be known as AB (After Barack, natch, with all past millennia relegated to BB, Before Barack), the Civil War ended, and Lincoln's "more perfect union" was achieved. What next -- or, perhaps, why bother? That is, who could ask for anything more?

One answer is Menachem Rosensaft, who, elsewhere on Huffpo, pushed the election results into a somewhat different cosmic direction. "On Nov. 4, 2008, at 11 pm," he wrote, "Robert Kennedy finally won."

I rubbed my eyes but Rosensaft continued: "Forty years after his assassination shattered dreams and brought his quest to change America to a sudden, brutal halt, Robert Kennedy reached the goal that had been denied him in life."

Now I was starting to get it. Candidate Obama, whom the media permitted to remain a political cipher behind the flowing messiah robes, is now President-Elect Obama, magic mirror of historical redress.

No doubt this would present where's-the-beef style problems for the average president, but Obama isn't destined to be the average president -- or so we have been led to believe. Or, rather, so we have led ourselves to believe.

In a particularly trenchant post-election column, author Shelby Steele explained how it was that a candidate he describes as "quite unremarkable" regarding public policy (an amalgam of "old-fashioned Keynesianism" and "recycled Great Society") was able, first, "to project an idealized vision of post-racial America," and then "have that vision define political decency." Once these visions were set, Steele writes, "a failure to support Obama politically became a failure of decency."

In this way, the white voters who became Obama's political base were vested in the success of Obama's vision -- or, rather, in the vision of Obama's success. Longing to "escape the stigma of racism," as Steele calls it, white voters became "enchanted" with Obama because their support for him provided evidence and certification of their own now self-evident state of "post-racial" enlightenment.

But, as Steele further explains, there's an inherent contradiction to this unusual, if not historically unique, relationship. "When whites -- especially today's younger generation -- proudly support Obama for his post-racialism, they unwittingly embrace race as their primary motivation. They think and act racially, not post-racially. The point is that a post-racial society ... seduces whites with a vision of the racial innocence precisely to coerce them into acting out of a racial motivation. A real post-racialist ... would not care about displaying or documenting his racial innocence. Such a person would evaluate Obama politically rather than culturally."

Bingo. Here Steel demystifies the great and perplexing divide between those who care supremely about documenting and displaying their own "racial innocence" -- and I would put the mainstream media, Obama voters and most politicians including John McCain into that category -- and those who don't. These latter "real post-racialists" see Obama as a man, not an icon, as a politician who emerged from a hotbed of anti-American radicalism, not a sacred totem of enlightenment better suited to a glass case at the Smithsonian than the boisterous tussle of the political arena.

For almost two years, Obama has been, in Steele's words, evaluated culturally. This has resulted in reverential media non-coverage and now post-election judgments and metaphors that are already beginning to defy satire. Of course, Barack Obama didn't end the Civil War, isn't the reincarnation of RFK, and benefits from, but didn't bring about, the long-entrenched social changes that facilitated his political rise. As he now heads to the White House, it's crucial that he finally be regarded as a politician, not a messiah, and as a man, not a moral judgment. Otherwise, the cultural juggernaut he seems likely to unleash will be unstoppable.

The Good News
The good news is now we can eliminate all the minority programs, giveaways, unconstitutional favoring of one group over another and reverse racism of affirmative action. Maybe now a white guy can get a job.

Exactly
Let me say up front I am sincerely happy for black Americans who find this event healing. I really do mean that. Breaks my heart to think they needed Obama to feel okay about themselves, but if so great. I'm glad it happened.

But...

When I claim that I would vote for anyone with GOOD ideas, I'm called a racist. I point to intelligent Af-Am's who disagree with Obama. They're called uncle toms. Because we threaten the catharsis.

I'd like a get-out-of-racist-jail card too. I hope some day I get the chance to vote for a black candidate--one who doesn't need to race-bait because his or her IDEAS are that good.

arab-american, not african american
but hey, he ain't whitey so it's all good, right?

terrorists
the most striking similarity between rfk and bho is they both associated with terrorists. bho's association with a terrorist was voluntary, prolonged, and would have been lethal to his political life if not for extreme prejudice on the part of the media, who gave him a pass. robert's association with terrorism was involuntary, brief, and lethal. do i need to mention the other similarity? robert was murdered by an islamic, bho is one. yes, go ahead and compare rfk and bho. robert was not a racist, bho associates with one of the worst racists in the country. the one good thing about bho when compared to rfk? bho does not have a brother named ted. we can thank allah for that.

Those graves at Civil War Battlefields
The graves at Civil War Battlefields are filled with White soldiers that died to keep the United States together and along the way released a people in bondage.
Civil War Battlefields are not visited by very many blacks.
Most Southern Dead are buried in burial pits, they died not for slavery but were fighting against a
federal government that to them was infringing on their lives in a way that they could not give into.
The United States is (was) a country of strong individuals who just really want to be left alone to create and live their lives in happiness as THEY see it not as Washington in all its wisdom wants them to.

"For my next trick ..."
Look for Obama to walk on water on Inauguration Day. Or for his inner-circle illuminati to convince us it is already on his resume.

Obamessiah
Can we finally stop idolizing our "post-racial" candidate, Obama and view him objectively as the slick, Chicago politician who outspent McCain and outsmarted our "first black president", Bill Clinton and his wife? Has anybody ever played the race card to greater effect than Barack Obama? Certainly not the reverends Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. Pikers both, compared to Obama. That prep school tuition and ivy-league education certainly paid off for Obama's Grandma. Mission accomplished, Toot. But what is the Pulitzer Prize winner, Tom Friedman, smoking these days? The American Civil War has now ended with the election of BHO. Almost as funny as Chris Matthews' thrill running up his leg whenever he hears Obama speak. I thought it was only Taxachusetts that decriminalized marijuana this week? In this AB millenium, I now absolve all you guilty white Obama voters of your racial sins. Go in Peace, my children.

you just solved the purple cipher code!
wow!

RIGHT ON DIANA WEST ! GOLD MEDAL ARTICLE
YOU ARE A GOOD WRITER!THANKS DIANA !

YUP YUP YUP
I proudly voted for McCain/Palin and even if I knew the outcome in advance, I'd do it again!!

PROUDLY!!

As I posted elsewhere on TH.com, this guy is a "product", nothing more. He reads a teleprompter well!! I'll give him that!! But when he ad libs, he STINKS!!

And I agree...a lot of WHITE Man's Northern Blood was spilled "for this event"...REMEMBER THEM?? those guys buried in Lee's front yard?? the beginning of Arlington National Cemetary??

Since both of my Grandparents are buried there, I should go and pay my respects to them and ALL the men who fought to UNITE this country and in doing so, ABOLISHED Slavery at the same time...for which I AM GRATEFUL!!

How quickly we ALL forget just exactly WHO has bought and paid for our FREEDOMS in this Country...our Veterans!! (unless we want to talk about the REAL Messiah and Savior of the WORLD!!)

The American Racist
Unfortunately American society is forever tied to anti-black and anti-white and anti-any other ehthnic bigotry. But only the blacks were slaves. Now they plan to use that as long as its useful. The time has come to call a bigot a bigot no matter their color or ethnicity. Can someone tell me the difference between the Black Panthers at the Philly polling station and a KKK member in robe?

57 million voted against a far left liberal who happened to be black. Had Ted Kennedy ran it would have been 70 million. Had Hi-liar-y run the media propaganda would have given her maybe 1-2 points over McCain but not near the black turnout being discouraged by BO's loss. However they could've gotten the same feel-good notoriety with BO as VP and won by the same margin.

I think Oblaba finally admitted, probably to his wife more than anyone else, that famous line from Rocky V. "Only in America!"

What a cynical and sad article
Man, this author must be having a bad day or something LOL. Sometimes outsiders and/or losers just have to attack the person they perceive is excluding them. Exclusion, in this case, is self-imposed. What the author fails to understand is that President-elect Obama energized and soothed a nation gripped with sadness created by the failures of the Bush administration. He offered hope, and you can be cynical about it if you wish but many of us want to feel optimistic about America's future and, importantly, ability to recover from the Bush years. Many conservatives felt so outraged about Obama's large presence and charisma they took to mocking Jesus Christ, and referred to Obama as The Messiah. I think my sister is correct: being a conservative is its own punishment LOL. With regard to race, we're talking about frosting: we Obama supporters liked the "cake" that is Obama, and the fact that he is biracial is just frosting on that cake.

Had I known in advance
I'd found someway to tell McCain to forget PA (Read Coulter, it is hilarious) and Wright and blanket VA, OH and FL with the you tube video of all the black caucus scolding the Fannie/Freddie overseers and claiming it was racism instead of the money grab it was with Oblaba as the main money man.

Jeffrey, P-U-Lease
The only hope you guys cared about for eight years is if enough troops would die or the economy would tank or fatman moore could make another movie to bring down a president. Now you want us all to wax poetic about the frosting justice. Give me a break. You do treat him like a Messiah and I hope he taxes your @ss into the poor house. Of course being in the People's Republic of Michigan you already know how to grab your ankles. May even like it!

Obama?Salvation
Thank goodness. Someone finally admits that Obama is not Jesus. Its just sad that I know so many people who voted for him just because of his "charisma" and his vague promises of "hope" and "change."

Jeffrey, it was Farrakhan who said it
"Many conservatives felt so outraged about Obama's large presence and charisma they took to mocking Jesus Christ, and referred to Obama as The Messiah."

Jeffrey, it was Farrakhan who said that Obama is the messiah.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xT9nYjqTL10

If this does not link, go google on search engines.

Of course when I heard Farrakhan declaring Obama the messiah, I was wondering where I missed the anti-christ, since he was to come first.

Obam is only president-elect
For a few reasons.

1. Because he's half black and most blacks voted for him ONLY because of that. NOTHING else about him, his life, or his politics mattered in the least.

2. The MSM wanted him to be the next president so they refused to "vet" him, then they covered up his flaws. When that stopped working they made excuses for him/them.

3. The MSM and RINO Republicans launched a campaign to make sure that LOSER McCain was our nominee, and for the most part we were powerless to stop them.

4. Once he got the nomination that he really didn't want, he launched a pathetic campaign with the intention of losing.

5. He ONLY got Palin as his running mate when he got tired of getting bitched at for trying to lose. But even in spite of having her on the ticket, he still made every possible effort to lose.

Nov 4 2008…Judgment Day…

First I would like to congratulate Obama for the greatest of victories. He got his moneys worth from the Democrat Party Machine, ACORN, and all the other supporters of his campaign. Lies and deception won-out this time and once the truth is known President Obama will have a lot of explaining to do and will become history’s answer to; “WHY DID AMERICA IMPLODE ON ITS SELF”.

Now… (I hope I am wrong) Let the revolution begin with…”WE THE PEOPLE”, have decided that our founding fathers were wrong. Their principles, ideals and their American Dream flawed. “WE THE PEOPLE” have decided that the Socialist principles, ideals and the Marxist Dream are a much better way.

I find it unbelievable that America would elect an unknown far left Liberal/Socialist as President of these United States of America. What have we done? Do we realize that we just enabled a far left Liberal/Socialist agenda upon ourselves? Our forefathers must be turning over in their graves. Mr. “HOPE AND CHANGE” with lack of grit will, both at home and aboard; be tested early and often. What if he fails these tests? Then WHAT…? Can we afford his failures?

We have chosen an intelligent, eloquent but untested conman as our leader of the “Free World”. The obvious apprehension is that the anointed one is a stranger—a deeply engaging, elegant, brilliant but flawed stranger with whom we had a torrid affair. Once we wake up, we will see the ring and wonder who exactly we married last night.” If President Obama is able to parley Congress to get what he has promised (taking from Peter and giving it to Paul; you will always get Paul’s vote), this wake-up-call may come to late to save America. We made the mistake of giving him the ring on November 4th. We were so disposed in doing so, only time will tell if we will live to regret it. Nov. 4th, 2008 will become known as “Judgment Day”.

http://nkqx57a.blogtownhall.com/

Nevertheless, he will be our President
And I promise to give him every bit as much of a chance to succeed, and every bit of support and respect that his party gave to President Bush, right from day one.

When we see the Mushroom Cloud over D.C., or NYC, courtesy of the "Tiny Nation that's no real threat to us," I'll be waiting for his party to start telling us it's Bush's fault. Because we all know they will.

I hate to break it to you Robert
But it was "your guy," or at least the one you pretended to support, that lost.

I didn't lose, the whole country lost, because now we have an absolutely inexperienced, and clueless as to what he's in for, moron waiting to take the oath to defend the Constitution on January 20th.

And I have no doubt that he'll also violate that oath on that same day.

But let not your heart be troubled. In 2012 Sarah the "far right nutcase" Palin will be elected to replace him. IF his presidency survives that long.

Nukes exploding over the White House have a bad habit of killing the people in the building underneath them.

Isn't Obama half-white?
Funny place, this America.

The man is half white and half black.

Yet we call him Black.

So if he had married a white woman and had white-looking children and went to a white Church would we still call him black?

But I guess having the "black blood" taints him and makes him black.

Racist America or Enlightened America?

Which one do we live in?

Hope is not enough to lead
Picking clinton hand me downs is a first indicator that 'on the job training' will take longer than one term. By the second term, after Hussein gets a clue, his true black panther self will surface and then God D america crowd will be welcome openly to the whitehouse soon to be renamed the house of the people. The 53% will live to regret and regret some more when they realize Hussein used and discarded 'whitey' or should I say 'typical white people' worse than toilet paper without any hope of recycling.

Campaign or Movement?
The Campaign part is over, but the Movement part may be just beginning. The bully pulpit will soon be used as its NEVER been used before. And, I hope and believe, for the Good. Let's take Karl the Great's advice (Karl Rove, Fox News Guru): Let's give Barack a chance before we start nitpicking this and that!
Diana: What do you think about the message Barack is sending by the Rahm Emanuel appointment? We already knew Barack was a heavyweight in terms of "serious man" criteria. Now we have ample evidence of this judgment. Emanuel is almost an equal to Obama, if not an equal in his own right. I'm excited about the future of this country, not depressed. And I'm still on a "pink cloud" after "the night." (Pink Cloud is a term recovering alcholics use to describe their newfound liberation.)

p.s. I love this AB, BB stuff!

what west misses
The presidency is an all or nothing kind of vote, so all of the different factors in play contribute to the overall decision.

The democrats won this election because after 8 years of Bush mostly with a Republican congress and then with a minority congress that freezed congressional action, people choose to support the democrats over the republicans.

It is additionally true that Obama ran a solid classy race while McCain ran a weak erratic race. But part of that is that this was a democratic year so Obama was able to run to hold his lead while McCain was looking for desperation moves to come from behind.

That said, it is not that long ago that the fact that Obama is black would have been enough to turn the election for McCain. As it is, the places in which McCain did better than Bush in 2004 maps pretty solidly into the places that rejected interracial marriage the longest and with the most vehemence. Although this may be more correlation than direct causal connection.

That America would vote for a black man just because he has a better temperment and more popular policies is still a huge step forward.

Steele predicted that Obama could not win because he Steele intuited that he must be self-loathing because he is a liberal black man. Now that that prediction has gone wrong, Steele is stuck arguing that the white people who voted for obama are self-loathing. He really has become something pathetic.

Chief of Staff
Rahm Emanuel an excellent choice! The morals of social justice defy "red state, blue state." Recommended reading on Obama's thinking: Laurence D. Cooper in a recent "Commentary."

Are you a totaly retard or do you just play one in these threads?

"The Jihad is in these peoples Imagination?"

I guess you haven't been to the Middle East lately to see that there's a war going on. One of the sides is a bunch of Islamic extremists that have declared a Jihad againt anyone who doesn't believe in their religion.

The even go to great lengths to let us know about it.

Really Ranger29, if you're so stupid that you don't know about this, I hope to God you're never let ouf into the real world.

__________________
I'm wondering if Rosensaft has any idea that Barack's buddy and the one who launched his political career, dedicated his book Prairie Fire to Sirhan-Sirhan. As we remember, Sirhan-Sirhan assassinated Robert Kennedy. I guess that's what made Rosensaft connect Obama and Kennedy.

The First African American President
Barack Obama is a biracial man, having received 50% of his DNA from his “white” American mother and 50% of his DNA from his “black” African father. Of course, Barack Obama looks more like his father than his mother because for unknown reasons the part of DNA that controls skin color, hair type, and other characteristics of physical appearance is generally more dominant in “black” DNA than in “white” DNA.

His father was very intelligent and passed that potential along to his son through the part of his DNA that directs brain building. His mother was also intelligent and half of her son’s brain building DNA came from her. Barack Obama barely knew his father who left when Barack was 2 years old. Young Barack was raised and nurtured primarily by his mother and his maternal grandparents, and he received a first rate education.

The First African American President 2
Perhaps the example of Barack Obama will help the human race begin to fully understand that each of has a new combination of parental DNA, our own DNA, whose brain building capability is independent of whatever characteristics of physical appearance other parts of that DNA happen to produce; and once built, that new human brain, in combination with the nurturing, education, and experience it receives, develops functional capabilities that are also independent of whatever characteristics of physical appearance one’s DNA produces.

In short, the quality of the brain building DNA provided by one’s parents matters; nurturing, education, and experience matter; but characteristics of physical appearance produced by other parts of one’s DNA are unrelated to the ultimate functional capabilities of one’s brain. They don’t matter.

Since President elect Obama received 50% of his DNA from his “white” mother and 50% of his DNA from his “black” African father, it is inappropriate to call him “the first black president of America” simply because he looks more like his father than his mother. But having a “black African father and a “white” American mother clearly qualifies Barack Obama to be appropriately called the first African American president.

Media is just getting started
Obama will govern as hard to the left of the road as he can without going over the edge, and the Media will provide cover for him every step of the way. The majority doesn't hear the conservative voice (it being drowned out by the MSM) - it certainly didn't hear it during the campaign, why will it hear it now? - and so while vowing to fight for conservative principles is a nice Quixotic sentiment, it's all for naught. Fight the good fight, but know that the golden age of Conservativism (thanks to Buckley and Reagan) is over. Be thankful that we were lucky enough to live during that chapter.

Oh folks...
the demands will only just be beginning. The old Civil War may have ended but a new one is on the horizon.

Look for reparation demands and whole lot more. If you think that blacks will say " It's over and all is forgiven!" think again. This election was not about equality, it was about revenge. Get ready for it because it is coming.

The blood letting to end slavery was not enough.

The tenacity and passage of the Civil Rights Act was not enough.

What will be enough?

Larry

You left out the charismatic part or else Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton would have been elected long ago.

Actually Obama looks quite a lot like his mother's father down to the notable ears.

The reasons that Obama is considered black are more social and historical than anything about one group of dna being stronger than another.

Amen Diana, amen!
Let me tell you about another Steele. Two years ago, when Michael Steele ran for the U.S. senate,I voted for him. I did not think of it as voting for a "BLACK MAN". I thought of it as voting for the "BEST MAN".

Unfortunately Mr. Steele lost. We here in Maryland are stuck with Benjamin Cardin.Of course he goes well with our other senator,Barbara Mikulski, like bookends they are, with anything Harry Reid wants sandwiched in between!

Majority Rules: Accept It
Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and many other ethnic American voters elected Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States.
He won the majority vote not because he is of African-American roots but because he represented positive change in America, a nation nearly starved for positive action after 8 long years of Bush/Cheney policy.
Obama presented himself as an intelligent, thoughtful, careful, supporter of middle-class America who could lead us away from the path taken by Bush and put the USA back on the road to prosperity, hope, and respect.

Racism is too valuable to be overcome
Amid all the congratulatory statements about what the election of a black president means, there is one thing we should never forget. To the left, race can never be transcended. It is the blunt instrument with which to batter your opponents and keep your supporters in line. It is the modern American version of 1984's Goldsteinism; something too valuable to the liberal power structure to ever be reduced to insignificance.

Bill Manuel
Spokane

What about us
As a Cherokee I beg to differ with the post racial. We were here first and were the victims of attempted genocide, often I might add at the hands of blacks, so when do we get our shot?

Then I will believe in the post racial crap! Get over it!

Lolo1, why baloney?
I hope you're right, but convince me. Margaret Thatcher said that conservative victories are like a ratchet wrench. We can slow down or even temporarily stop the leftward movement of society, but we cannot reverse it.

The Republican base is getting older and shrinking in numbers. The libs have spent the last 30 years making their long march through the institutions, putting into place a tipping point of liberal teachers and agendas in K-12 and colleges, and those college and 20-somthing youths are overwhelmingly liberal in their viewpoint. Add to that the Hispanics that went for Obama by almost 70%, the blacks (97% - no surprise there), and we've got a daunting task in front of us. Mark Steyn (America Alone) says demographics is destiny - that when History comes knocking, it only asks one question "Who's there?"

I think that living in an extended, law-bound, commercial society is deeply unnatural, and the product of many generations of work (thank God for our forefathers and what they've accomplished). Aspects of human nature are a toxic drip that constantly undermines its foundations. Hordes of violent men are always outside the city gates ready to sack it, and those inside always threaten to turn into a mob and destroy it from within.

Convince me (please!) that I'm wrong, and that this election was an aberration but not a trend.

NO PRAYERS FOR OBAMA or HITLER
Obama is not a natural US born citizen and therefore got this election through trickery and coercion. He is not my president, only in name.

Obama used the name of Jesus Christ to try to get the Christians to vote for him and he used a photo op at the Holy Wailing Wall in Jerusalem to get the Jewish vote. For 20 years he attended a “church” where the pastor cursed and used God’s name in vain from the pulpit, to get the black vote. In my opinion, he might as well of used the “F” word in the “sanctuary,” which I’m sure he has anyway, just never got on tape. And it is very clear about how he and Obama feel about Israel and the Jews.

Am I to assume you’d also instruct the German Christians back in Hitler’s day to pray for the “wisdom and safety of Adolf Hitler? Brothers and sisters, it’s time to check yourselves on that one.

There are far more scriptures in complete contrast to praying for a monster like Obama. I don’t recall Jesus calling for prayer for Caesar, Herod, or even Judas for that matter. Peter did not pray for Ananias and Saphira who came to him with a lie on their lips; and the early Christians did not pray for Nero’s safety and wisdom. In fact, Jesus said He only prays for the ones that the Father has given him, those who’s names are in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

AND I DON’T RECALL JOHN THE BAPTIST PRAYING FOR HEROD: HE SAT OUTSIDE HEROD’S GATES AND DECLARED TO HIM AND THE WORLD THAT HEROD WAS IN VIOLATION OF GOD’S LAW AGAINST ADULTERY. AND HE GOT HIS HEAD CHOPPED OFF FOR IT.

Now we have a man Obama that supports infanticide, homosexual marriage, Islam (praying to the moon god, which YWH forbids), racially divided churches, and splitting the land of Israel, and he accepts worship and adoration as a deity: all of which is far greater sin than Herod marrying his brother’s wife.

No, we’d better pray for the courage to stand in the faith against such a monster.

Obama's birth certificateW
Please tell my why the American people cannot see the real Obama birth certificate? Please tell me why the Hawaiian Governor sealed his birth records? Please tell me why his Grandmother said he was born in Kenya and for some strange reason when all this came up she suddenly became ill, Obama visited her and a few days later she is dead? Please tell me why this man can continue without this constitutional mandate and not fullfill the proof required? He has refused all necessary requests for the presidency - i.e. his school/University/Harvard records, his medical records and his birth certificate - and we are going to stand by and let this go by - are we sheep?

Not my President...
...not now, not ever.

Strange
It's been a strange feeling since Tuesday, like I moved to a foreign land and didn't realize it. Things have become surreal. How could a man, endorsed by the Communist Party USA as well as the Democrat Socialists America get elected, not to mention the litany of nefarious associations and actions. It's a Hollywood movie plot, not real life and I'm not sure we want to know the ending.

Another Carter
I am concerned that America may have elected - not another Bill Clinton as we suppose - but another Jimmy Carter. We don't need another four years of failed Carter policies.

This should have been McCain's line of attack. Not associating Obama with a terrorist, but matching Obama's portrayal of McCain as a Bush look-alike with a portrayal of Obama as a Carter look-alike. Let's compare presidential candidates with other presidents, says Obama ... so why can't two play at that game?

Messiah? Laugh Out Loud
Barack Obama is no more a Messiah than Janelle Commissiong-Chow was the first Black to be Miss America. Just pray that Barack does the right thing and get America back on the right track again. In the words of Juan Carlos Tapia "I would critcize any prizefighter the same regardless of race of country of again."

Useful Idiots
One of the important tools in Lenin's revolutionary toolbox was the "useful idiot". This time Obama had huge quantities of the useful idiot tool in all sizes, colors, handles, etc. I can't undrstand how people are unable to see beyond their noses.

By the way, I am a Hungarian refugee from 1956, I had to study Marxism-Leninism whilr in college in lieu of humanity courses and I can tell a socialist from miles.

Suck my Dick
Hey any one wanna suck my dick......It's big....
