Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Transfixed by the two-candidate "horse race," maybe we didn't focus precisely on what happened in the home stretch of the last Democratic debate when Barack Obama tried to pick and nuance his way through a straight-ahead question from MSNBC's Tim Russert.

Q: Do you accept the support of Louis Farrakhan?

The question arose because the longtime racist and anti-Semitic leader of the racist and anti-Semitic Nation of Islam had delivered a two-hour speech devoted mainly to praising Obama's candidacy.

Here is Obama's answer: "You know, I have been very clear in my denunciation of Minister Farrakhan's anti-Semitic comments. I think they are unacceptable and reprehensible. I did not solicit this support. He expressed pride in an African-American who seems to be bringing the country together. I obviously can't censor him, but it is not support that I sought. And we're not doing anything, I assure you, formally or informally, with Minister Farrakhan."

"Minister" Farrakhan? The honorific seems unduly deferential applied to a demagogue who, just to recall a few pearls of his noxiousness, has labeled Judaism a "gutter religion," said "the white man" is "the anti-Christ," and suggested the post-Katrina failure of the New Orleans levees was a "white" plot to flood "black" neighborhoods. But what is most important here is to note Obama's failure to take a stand on Farrakhan support: "I obviously can't censor him" -- whether Obama could censor him wasn't the question -- "but it is not support I sought."

Kind of tepid, no? Russert tried again.

Q: Do you reject his support?

Here is Obama's second answer. "Well, Tim, you know, I can't say to somebody that he can't say that he thinks I'm a good guy." (This, of course, was just another way of saying Obama couldn't censor Farrakhan.) The presidential candidate continued: "You know, I -- you know, I -- I have been very clear in my denunciations of him and his past statements, and I think that indicates to the American people what my stance is on those comments."

Again, Russert hadn't asked Obama about "his stance" on "those comments." The question was about Farrakhan as a package deal. Did Obama accept his support? Did Obama reject his support?

So far, no answer. And this was incredible. Before a national audience, Obama, whose very candidacy has come to symbolize a promise of "post-racial" "unity" in America, failed to reject the support of arguably the most racist and divisive figure in America.

Russert tried another tack, this time raising the ties between Farrakhan and Obama's pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. of Chicago's Trinity United Church. Russert noted that Wright, whom Obama has called his "spiritual mentor" and "sounding board," has not only traveled with Farrakhan to visit Moammar Gadhafi in Libya -- some junket. Wright has also said that Farrakhan "epitomized greatness." Just last year, Wright's church, known for a creed aptly described as black separatist, bestowed on Farrakhan the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Lifetime Achievement Trumpeteer award.

Does the Farrakhan-Wright relationship explain the reason Obama appeared unwilling to denounce Farrakhan altogether -- not just his more notorious statements? Alas, such a question remained unasked. Obama launched into a lengthy discussion about Israel's security ("sacrosanct"), the civil rights movement, even Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, without mentioning Farrakhan or Wright again.

None of which escaped his opponent's notice. "I just want to add something here," Hillary Clinton said. She explained that under similar circumstances during her first Senate race in New York she had repudiated the support of a political party she described as anti-Semitic. "I rejected it," Clinton said in one of her genuinely better debating points. "I said that it would not be anything I would be comfortable with ... I have no doubt that everything that Barack just said is absolutely sincere. But I just think, we've got to be even stronger."

Clearly, Obama had to say something stronger. So he did: "Tim, I have to say I don't see a difference between denouncing and rejecting. ... But if the word `reject' Sen. Clinton feels is stronger than the word `denounce,' then I'm happy to concede the point, and I would reject and denounce."

One could ask, Reject what? Denounce what? But the more interesting question is why was it so hard for Senator Post-Racial Unity to reject Minister Racism and Divisiveness?

Why can't he say it??
As the days roll by and more questionable connections come to light, I become more & more suspicious of the great Obama-man! The list keeps growing. Why is it so difficult to reject the most outspoken anti-semite,anti-white,anti-America Muslim fascist on the planet? What is the dilemma?
His connections (Obama's) to deep-pocketed Arab billionaires, Rezko, radical 1960's era left-wing bombers, Odinga, his own Arab roots (He's more Arab than black),links to radical muslim mosques at his website. What I am beginning to see here is the ultimate stealth sleeper cell. Am I crazy?

Senator McCain's radical endorsement
Who cares about a marginalized Farrahkan, except the country's biggest corporate-owned reporter? Senator McCain is now gleefully accepting the endorsement of one of THE most hateful religious zealot on the planet, and yet this seems a-okay on the right.

I wonder if Russert will interview someone from the catholic church to see how they feel about the Hagee endorsement?

Has McCain
rejected and denounced Hagee? Oh, I know, the ever present non-moral equivalence that is so pervase in "western" ideology; alas here is Glen Greenwald with a "capable" essay that may cause one to think otherwise:

http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2008/02/28/hagee/ind ex.html

Please people! America will always be there for Israel, as long as we are here to be there for them; and no Barack HUSSEIN Obama, who genuinely has worked to make America a better place in this world, will hijack the American government to go rescue al-Qaeda. Give us all a break . . .

Peace

To ersec
Yes.

Barack Hussein Obama
Will say anything to buy votes. I cannot believe that more than half of the liberal democrats are crazy about him to be president. But hey, that's why they call them liberals.

The Snakeoil Salesman

“But the more interesting question is why was it so hard for Senator Post-Racial Unity to reject Minister Racism and Divisiveness?” … Diana West

Two long drawn out answers by Obama, and Obama DID NOT outright reject any type of support or endorsement from Louis Farrakhan because Obama being he attends one of the most racist churchs in America is in fact a RACIST himself being he attends and supports a RACIST CHURCH.

There is clearly NO other way to interpret this.

English Only
Apparently the English Only crowd has trouble understanding English: "I reject AND denounce [Farrakhan, his teachings, his endorsement which I never asked for]," said Obama.

Lilly, lilly, lilly
I guess that's why Obama belongs to the virulently racist Trinity United Church and associates with various admitted terrorists such as William Ayres, because he rejects and denounces them so much! Imagine the media firestorm if a Republican associated with Timothy McVeigh and regularly attended KKK meetings! The hypocrisy overflows!

I wonder what any candidate would
say if they were endorsed by David Duke for example.
I believe they would launch into a rightous spiel about what a hater he is etc, IMO there is only one difference between Duke and Farrakan, Farrakan is black.
Obama doesn't do this because he fears losing votes, many blacks love it when certain of their "leaders" stick it to whitey and these race hustlers have made a good living at it.

Politicians are afraid of them, most of the wasteful welfare programs are nothing less than extortion money to keep the lid on.

There are many people making a lot of money from poverty, it is an industry in and of itself and dems have no interest in changing that. Way too many blacks like being able to portray themselves as victims, it relieves them of all responsibility and they are virulant in their condemnation of any black who succeeds or points this out, they are "sellouts".

If obama thinks he can change this I would welcome it, but I believe they will turn on him like they did Bill Cosby.

All obama will do is take more of our tax money and flush it down the toilet called welfare.

Michael
Great reply to that deep thinker (wading pool depth that is) Lilly.

However, be careful criticizing what one of my commenters called, "the mystical magical negro" that is Barack Husseini O-Vomit. Al Sharpton might buy a crowd to protest outside your home!

Why the GOP has issues with minorities

I 100% agree with this post I saw on the Peach Pundit.

By Chris Farris

I received an email a few days ago, and the tactlessness of it has been bothering me for quite awhile. First there is the use of the racial slur. Then there is the message is that it is somehow bad or shameful to lose to an African-American. (offensive language & images behind the cut)

Obama is a die-hard racist
He belongs to a racist church that teaches whites are the devil and all blacks should be Afro-centric, altho' it is not preaching the congregation leave America for the HIV, mass chaos, perpetual war machine that is Africa today.
In truth, Africa would be better off with colonialism now instead of the rampant tribalism that has torn apart he continent for over 1/2 a century. The Congo has been at war since I was a high school senior in 1960. Uganda produced a leader who bragged of cannabalism. Kenya, a stable polity for decades, has itself now fallen into chronic factionalism and nears civil war. Zimbabwe, the former Rhodesia, once could feed all of Africa but suffers endless famine. The Sudan (Darfur)'s northern Muslims are exterminating the southern Christians (all black Africans on both sides).
I don't advise us entering that cauldron, but I'm sure we would never defend Christians. Our big commitments lately have been to defend Muslims in Serbia, Kuwait, and Iraq.
Obama's alliance with the Nation of Islam here is merely a reflection of his career as a hack Chicago politician and rigid partisan. He is no more abouting uniting the country (unless you're a leftwing looney) than my dog's left foot.

Once More, The Media.....
Is making a mountain out of a small amount of doo-doo. Wow! What an earth-shattering revelation! He said "renounced" and not "rejected." Now, Hillary said that "rejected" is the proper word. Who are we to trust, the 35 years of experience and co-conspirator of Bubba-the-Zipper, or Obambi? Since the sheeple want Obambi, I'm going with him. I renounce Farrakahn too. And Obambi's minister too, the "Reverend" but racist Jeremiah Wright. Now, those of you sheeple who attend church, or something similar, do you like it that Obambi is a follower of a group that preaches and practices racism? Any original thoughts, or has no one told you yet what to say to such a question.

Censor v. Censure
*I obviously can't censor him* said Obama; however, a more ringing statement of his CENSURE of a fellow Black who shares the views not only of his Muslim forbears but also of his church, might raise more questions than it solves.

At the risk of a shriek of YOUARACIST! I venture to point out that Obama cannot continue forever to tap dance around every hard question. If I say the sun rises in the East and you say it rises in the West, the answer does not lie in compromise.

delusional lilly
again she offers cover for her latest p[hopny hero. She h as always maintained that poor bubba was folrced to accept oral sex from monica and now she fails to see the double sided answer her new phoney hero gives concerning the hater farfakhan. He claims he did n't solicit his support but at the same time gives the hater credibility by referring to him as minister. Exactly what has the clown farraqkhan ever done but preach racial divided and hatred. But alas poor lilly can't ever understand the truth when it comes to her heroes. Lilly can continue to hate herself for being a pathetically stupid white womam who still feels that she bears responsibility for all the mistakes of the black race. She can vote for oblahma if she thinks that will absolve her for part of being a racist white who stood by during her youth and watch whites bully blacks while she lived in the south. For all we know lilly was of of those actively supporting southern racism until she came north and "saw the light". But her sense of guilt doesn't cover up oblahma's scanty resume. Campaigning for president is not a resume qualifier. But rather looking at his scanty voting record. He allegiance to reid, durbin and kennedy as his senate mentors and guides. His allegiance to the old dim special interest support groups, the trial lawyers, the unions and the teachers, his spending plans that call for increased taxes and plans for some$880 billion to further already failed dim programs shows oblahma nothing more than a throw back to the thinking of the 60's. Oblahma is not a voice for change and his inability to work with repubs shws him unwilling to cross the aisle, presents the candidate of status quo. Under oblahma america does not unite but becomes more divisive his record as a politician shows what he really values and it isn't a strong america or a united america, merely another plan for diminshing what this country has done to aid citizens throughout this country and the world

renny
Your post is chock full of sound logic. Certainly it will fly over the heads of any liberals who chance to read it.

Anna
As a former evangelical and now Catholic, Hagee has never, ever been a big player on the political scene.

Charlatan
He is a "wolf" in sheeps' clothing!

Disturbing Circumstances
I don't think that the issue here is one endorsement by the madman Farakkhan. I don't even think that it is necessary to 'denounce or reject' such endorsements. I think the problem people have with B. Hussein is the entire thread of disturbing relationships and circumstances surrounding him. His relationships include a reportedly communist-sympathizer mother; early life in a Muslim country;statements by his wife of self-pitying victimization (statements of the type frequently expressed by racists); a "spiritual mentor and sounding board" who is openly racist; church attendance in a setting that has an Afrocentric bent; relationships with domestic terrorists.

Look at the circumstances. American flag lapel pins vs Cuban flags emblazoned with Che Guevara; much ado from B. Hussein's camp about a photograph showing the wearing of Somali attire; the admonition from B. Hussein's camp about the use of the middle name, Hussein; the fuss from B. Hussein's camp about the use of the term 'liberal.' And these are just the things that I am currently aware of.

I think, personally, since thousands of Americans either jumped to their deaths or were fried like potato chips when a bunch of crazed Muslims attacked the country that every rational American would take a long, hard look at any Presidential candidate with this particular set of variables. I would also think that in a nation where whites were the majority that questions might be asked by a man who downplays the white component of his heritage and forms relationships with those who are openly anti-white. These things are not a matter of conjecture by a vast right-wing conspiracy; there are a matter of public record that even liberals should be able to access and read or see, even English Only liberals.

Spengler (Asiaonline) has an article that should be read if one is interested in the rise of B. Hussein.

Obama Hides Who He Is
Obama will not admit he is a Communist and a Muslim --but he is. Russert won't ask him directly about either point--MSM cover-up. The picture of Obama in Muslim drag was demonstrative about what he is. Kenya is a nation of Africans and there are literally hundreds of ethnic costumes Obama could have worn. No, he selected a religious affiliation, a Muslim costume, and he had on a white turban indicating a non-direct descendant of Muhammad. How knowledgeable and appropriate. Excuse me, I am not politically correct--I cannot question a Black man (well he has some Black genetics which he prefers to his White part), who is also recognized by 1.2 million of his Muslim cohorts as a Muslim (biological father is Muslim, therefore he is also--Muslim doctrine), and he is a Communist (proven by his ideological statements). Leave the "BOY" alone don't ask embarrassing questions.

Sorry
1.2 million should read "1.2 billion".

The Whole Truthiness Thing
Great column Diane, it's interesting to watch the dance of Obama on the one hand he has to appeal to "the brothers" whom he's already been under fire for not acting like "a brother".
How does a brother act, you ask? A brother acts like Farrakhan, Jesse, Al, Marion Barry before and after, Kanye West before and after Katrina, Tupac & Biggie Smalls, "Fiddy" not Fifty Cents, the Jena Six, and can't forget that great actor Prof. Cornell West.
On the other hand, Hussein wants to show the rest of America that he will not be easily enticed into condemning, if you will, the "street or urban" support, because if you remember according to his wife Michelle, he could be killed gassing up the volvo or being ignored by New York city cab drivers because of the color of his skin, it still happens a lot here in this country as we hear violins playing in the background. Then there's the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. Barack's pastor and sounding board who along with Farrakhan form a unique underlying relationship. Underlying? you ask? And answered in the form of Reparations, these two along with the NAACP, the New Black Panther Party and all other liberal democratic Black organisations including Black Church leaders are going to making sure that it's tied in to Obama's "Hope and ($)Change" Agenda. It's the Hope that once he's President, Mr. Hussein will lay out his new tax plan to include "$change" in the form of Reparations.

What baffles me
is how come Hussein will probably get a strong majority of the Jewish vote. What will they do as he abandons Israel? Say ooops?

Obama-Far Left World Gov Socialist
The Farrakhan connection and endorsement are part of a larger and much more disturbing picture of the Far Left World Gov Socialist Obama: professes friendship with a former Weathermen bomber Ayres, chides those who wear lapel USA flag pins, married to a woman who lacks pride in the USA, member of a black separatist church, visitor to Islamic nations intent on Israel's destruction, proposer of a US Senate bill with Hagel) to give $845 billion to the UN for third world distribution, and champion of the concept that federal judges should be selected on the basis of favoring the "weak over the strong" so as to deliver true "justice." MSM will never disseminate the full story of Obama. The alternative media have a huge job ahead between now and November in getting the information out on who the real Obama is. So far he has hid behind frothy platitudes. That is about to end.

savage
the jews continue to baffle. The dims would sell them out in a moment if it gained them any advantage but still the jews continue their support for the dims. But it seems to go back to this fear that evangelicals believe that unless jews convert to christianity they cannot enter paradise or some such nonsense. But it should be worrisome that b. hussein oblahma speaks with such willingnexss to talk to iran's hitler, iwnna jihad. What would keep oblahma from thinking he could change the history of the m/e from cutting any sort of deal even if it called for cutting israel's throat in the bargain. oblahma's allegiance to farrakhan should be very troubling to the voters

KATZ
Disturbing indeed. The whole point is that nobody really knows just what he is, what his core beliefs are, what his political plans are, nothing. He is a good speaker and has been a successful student and rising politician. These are slim qualifications for POTUS. I believe we would be better served by replacing the curent DC crew with the first 1000 names in the Kansas City phone book, so its not the uncertainty that gets me. Its that he is a career politician.. and that no one knows his intentions.

Chuck
It is good to know that not all African-Americans are enamored of Barack Hussein Obama..
check out : http://www.ATLAH.org fun-n-ny.A "minister,no less,too.

Missing another dark side of Obama
As a US Senator from Illinois representing the total of its population, white, black, asian etc. he none the less managed to join the Black Caucus a racist group which has denied access to membership by non blacks. An organization working for resitution, affirmative action and an apology to the Black population by the entire American body politic. If he truly believes in bringing America "together" whatever that means then he must resign from the black caucus and demand they disband the organziation because of its racist approach to issues. Its time has passed and should never have been. A check of their voting record and you will find votes that are opposed to Israel and to the best interest of all American citizens. This is a question that he should be asked during these debates and by the press.

Phil from Philly

Simply put . . .
Sen. BHO, if one talks about the details of one's non-existent policies, the PEOPLE ON YOUR SIDE who are asking you questions will have something substantive to ask you about. However, when you insist on dancing around the questions with eloquent diatribes reminiscent of some Miss Teen America explanations on why most young Americans can't read maps--it's quite obvious you have the skill of a great communicator insistent on selling America "hope" and "change" without anything in the bottle, so to speak.

What scares me most is how many Americans might have accepted Miss Teen SC's comments and now worship the debonair empty suit which graces a campaign trail with unsurpassed oratory, high octane intellect and promises of hope and change that will head the lemmings over the cliff (or fainting in your throngs). Usually it's what someone says that's attractive. So why is what someone is not saying so appealing to 50% and so derisive to the thinking 50% of America? Hmmm? . . .

Obama's Truthiness About Farrakhan
I suggest you watch the video of that moment in the debate. Obama was flustered. He stammered for almost 2 minutes on this simple question.

For you Obama Kool-Aiders, consider this.

Obama is a member in good standing of the Trinity United Church of Christ which is a Black Church who do not allow White Members, the pastor, Reverend Wright, is a well published White and Jew hater, who accompanied Farrakhan on a "junket" to visit Moammar Gadhafi in Libya.

William “Bill” Ayers- Leader of the 1960s and 70s domestic terrorist group Weatherman. Obama met with Ayers before he launched his political career. He and Ayers are still friendly according to a source on the Obama campaign. Why did Obama feel the need to get this terrorist’s blessing? Why is he still friendly with him today?
1. Ayers said "Kill all the rich people. ... Bring the revolution home. Kill your parents." 2. Participated in the bombings of New York City Police Headquarters in 1970, of the Capitol building in 1971, and the Pentagon in 1972 . 3. Currently a professor of education at the University of Illinois.
You are saying the endorsement of Reverend Hagee for McCain is the same thing. Hagee does have anti-Semitic views but McCain is not related in any way to his church. Hagee has not met with Moammar Gadhafi. McCain has no history of being friendly with a domestic terrorist like Ayers. These two scenarios are nowhere near apples to apples.

Savage99
I know who he is. He is the husband of Michelle Obama who is the product of the Chicago Black ghetto where blacks hate whites, Jews, Hispanics, Asians and virtually everybody else and listen to their self-appointed "leaders" spitting out hate in every word in every speech.
Ever tought of why only one community in America needs "leaders"? All other ethnic groups manage nicely without them.
How come that blacks being in this country for a couple of centuries, speaking their now native English tongue are still rely on haters and racists while every other ethnic group is done well or very well in America?
Take, for example, poor Chinese peasants a century ago. Doing laundry, ironing shirts 12 hours a day in smoke filled laundromats, where is this group now?
How did Korean peasants do who came here only 20 years ago without a word of English? Very well indeed. Ever heard of Korean leaders?
Even illegal aliens speaking Spanish find jobs in the United States. Yes, low paid, but one has to start somewhere.
This is the problem. In my view, the racism is in the corner of Farakhan, Jackson and company. That is their bread and butter and some caviar on top of that.
Obama needed them to get ahead as a black activist and owes them a lot. Without "leaders" support one cannot achieve anything in black communities today. Look at Bill Cosby political boycott.

BigBelly - You are on to it
The only change B. Hussein Obama is interested in is getting HIS hands on the national cash register instead of someone else's.

If you want to know what a real dyed-in-the-wool Afrocentric leader looks like when they are in charge of a country, look no further than the current crop of pillaging "leaders" in Africa. With no credentials, qualifications or experience to govern a nation, the only justification for people to support a facade of a leader like Obama is their expectation of being able to use him to enrich themselves.

It's about the money people.

Chuck........OBama and the ministers
correction...Address is: http://www.ATLAH.org on YouTube

What's the Surprise
Any polititian would accept the support of the devil himself if it got them elected.

Gee...did that sound cynical?

What Obama Would "Do" for this Country
The only thing B. Hussein Obama has to sell as the leader of this nation is his ability to dispense largesse. That's it - nothing more. Thus, the only relevent questions to be asked are Who is going to get it?, Where is the money going to come from?, and what will this nation look like afterward, if he succeeds in his ambitions.

Think about it. People can already do pretty much do whatever they want in this country. Despite leftist claims to the contrary, people are not politically, or even socially, repressed in the United States. So what possible "difference" could Obama offer? To give people even more freedom? To force people to love one another?

The problem for most supporters of Obama is that when left to exercise their existing freedoms as they choose, the people of this country generally do not behave in ways that further the leftist or sectarian agenda. So, in their minds, it becomes necessary to force the results onto a different track.

In order to accomplish this, you have to place people in charge that are willing to re-channel wealth into different pockets and force behavioral changes onto people so that different results are achieved. Of course, it goes without saying that expansions of freedom for the people at large are the last thing you need for this leader to champion.

Gunny
There's still time between now and the actual election for more real word of Obama to circulate.

After all, the professional Dems. don't really want Hillary (i.e., Kennedy), but the fall back position is now only Obama.

BOH may attract huge crowds and young people, but the so-called "youth vote" has never been more than 7% of the electorate--Kerry got it all and couldn't carry Ohio or any other state that would give him the election.

Gore couldn't get the electoral vote from any group, and Clinton only won 43% of the vote in either election.

Despite all the MSM wow-wow on how Dems. are really fired up and will vote in more gadzillions than Reps., reporters aren't considering the results of the last couple decades of elections.

Far-left libs. are about 14% of the nation, and no matter how doped up during the primaries, there aren't enough of them to elect a pres.

McCain may not be perfectly wonderful to all cons., but he offers a real war hero, ready to be commander in chief, never had an earmark contrasted against a man who knows nothing about the military, is a post WW I pacifist, and already is offering nearly $trillion in someone else' money (he says he doesn't care if he has to raise taxes) as "programs".

I hope the US electorate will appreciate those diferences by Nov.

Big Difference
Isabella
The difference is McCain does not belong to that church. And if you can't see the difference you're either lying or really stupid.
I have made this point many times. Just reverse the roles.
If a white republican belonged to a church with a pastor who preached all blacks and Jews are inferior. If this pastor revered the clan and bestowed on them the highest honor of his church. What would the liberal press' response be ?
Obama and Michele need to denounce their hate mongering pastor and congregation.
Yes there are white lunatics that also belong to that church. It still doesn't make it right.
One dirty little secret. Obama can't protest too loud because 90% of the black churches in Chicago also revere Farrakhan.

SandMan: SPOT ON!

But you forgot Socialized Health Care, which pretty much on the top of his "Things To Do List." right after surrendering in Iraq... which of course we know that a surrender is an hand written, open invitation for al Qaeda to "come on in..."

And then there is the typical irony of BO's criticism of "nation building," but yet now he's talking about SAVING THE WHOLE WORLD!!!!!

Oh, and roberto, nope.... and you're an idiot!

not much there there
not much to this story or the other smear campaigns out there against
Obama. Starting to think a lot of you are are working for the Clinton
campaign . . . not that I am surprised.

There is much to Obama's policies if you wish to check them out at his
issues page.

For renny & Gunny--truth already out
about Obama.

See the article below, by Jack Cashill.

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId= 57643

I personally emailed Cashill on this with the following comment "if American Catholics today are anything like Canadian Catholics in 1987, I would not be surprised at them making such an appalling vote choice" (Canada's parliament--which was ALMOST HALF CATHOLIC--voted that year to REMOVE ALL abortion laws in the country).

Wildwest: a Language Lesson
If you speak of someone with an MD, a PhD, or a DDS, it is proper refer to him as "Dr Smith". You do this even if you hate his guts because that title is part of his name. I don't much like Condoleeza Rice but if I referred to her in a public speech I would certainly call her Dr Rice.

In some countries a professional engineer is always referred to by his title, Engineer. This is true in at least some Spanish-language countries; I don't know about all. Example:
"Ingeniero Ramirez".

In Germany a university professor is referred to as "Herr Doktor Professor".

A Catholic priest and an Episcolpalian priest are called "Father", even if for some reason you don't honor them as individuals. For example if the Catholic priest just molested your altar boy son. He is still called Father Smith or whatever. If you speak of the Archbishop you call him Monsignor, no matter what.

In England if a man is Lord Smith-Jones, it's not polite to call him Mr Smith-Jones when you speak of him.

In the United States we refer to a judge as "Judge Smith" when we speak of him.

The title "Minister" has been assumed by Farrakhan. I don't know enough about the Black Muslims to know whether that title is automatically given to leaders in that movement or whether he thought it up, but that is his name. You may not have noticed that Obama is very polite in his speeches. Of course he gave the man his title. Unless he calls HC "Hillary" as he sometimes does, he calls her "Senator Clinton" and not "Mrs Clinton" .

To say that if you disagree or reject or denounce a person you should omit his title is ridiculous. Using the title is simply a matter of correct speech. That's the way we do it in English. At least in the civilized part of this country. How do you do it out in the Wild West?

It's nice to see they allow you computers in the institution.

What is his message?
Can Mr. Obama clearly formulate his stand on issues or his philosophy? For example:
1. War in Iraq: As president I will work closely with the Congress to end the war ASAP (or continue the war until victory is achieved).
2. Immigration: I prefer to keep our Southern border loosely guarded but generally open (or seal the border) and grant an amnesty to illegal aliens already here (or deport them back to their respective countries and open a guest worker program).
3. Taxation: Raise taxes on "rich" upper class and redistribute wealth toward the poor and the not so fortunate (or keep Bush tax cut intact and work on cutting taxes further).
4. Create a big government bureaucracy to manage redistribution of wealth (or shrink the government and make it more effective).
5. Promote and support pro-choice philosophy (or limit abortions to a minimum).
6. Decrease our military expenses by promoting and building smaller but more effective army of the fast response (or maintain the existing size of the military and build it up to a certain level).
7. Greatly improve American relationships with European powers, Russia and China; and with our neighbors in the Americas. Talk and persuade adversarial regimes to concentrate on points of mutual interest instead of the differences (or apply pressure on rogue regimes in form of an economic boycott or even blockade if necessary).
8. Try to greatly improve race relations in this country, rights and responsibilities of its citizens, respect of the law and unite people around common goal.
9. Greatly improve education by removing the iron grip of the teachers union and static school system (or give more power to the teachers union and appoint more bureaucrats to supervise the education).
10. Etc.
I realise my quick list is not a serious document for a discussion, just an idea.

Is it so difficult to produce?

If BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA
doesn't like his given name being used, then he should change it. If not, then tough. If he doesn't like being publicly associated with Calypso Louis Farrakhan, then he should denounce him. As long as he continues to hold on to his (er, disclaimed) Muslim heritage, ie his name, then we have every right to use it, just as we have every right to notice his association with unsavory characters like Farrakhan and his racist church pastor.

Lilly: A lesson in American protocol
Unfortunately, your pompous and presumptive lecture on the protocol of American honorifics is untethered to any apparent real knowledge. As for how it works in Cuba, or wherever your knowledge of Spanish protocol originates, I am willing to accept your explanations.

For simple starters, PhDs are not referred to as "Dr" in social settings, as would be the case for an MD. The title is only appropriate under professional circumstances relating to the field in which they practice. Since Dr Rice's PhD is in Public Policy (I believe), and she is working in her chosen field, it is appropriate to refer to her as Dr Rice when making reference to her under those circumstances.

Also, if the attribution of titles is totally the self-declared prerogative of the individual, please refer to me as "Your Majesty, Sir SandMan," when addressing me.

Obama is not an American...
His policies are contrary to the core of American culture. He hates The United States of America. He wants to change it into something alien and incomprehensible to the normal American. Read his policies on his website.

Clinton would be a better choice for America than Obama.

Once again impeach slithers into TH

to impart his inane, hateful, asinine, vacant, imbecilic, thoughts that, no doubt, he thinks are smart.

impeach is the perfect example of what Dr. Lyle Rossiter is referring to in his new book, "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness"

"... liberals are clinically nuts! ...liberal ideology is mental disorder..."

The only question is, does impeach come from huffypuffy or kos?

To Mr Difar
Can you be more specific when you say that Obama's policies are contrary to the core of American culture? Why are they alien and incomprehensible? Please give some supporting detail.

An Observation
Has anyone other than "impeachbush" mentioned the name Bush, much less attempted to justify his presidency, in their posts? Impeachbush seems to be carrying on a conversation with the personalities inhabiting the recesses of his fevered mind.

Excuse me
I supported McCain in the primaries in 2000, thank you, and you shoudn't use that liberal-arrogant tone on someone unless you really know who you are. You sound like someone on the Daily Krap or movealong.littledoggies.

And you would like much less that if McCain had been commander in chief in Iraq, he would've sent in many more ground troops as he has called for them several times, as he did when Clinton went into Kosovo--without a Congressional or a UN vote.

Bush received 87-12-1 support from the Senate for Iraq and UN Sec. Council sanction--which was just renewed by the UN through 2009. In case you forgot, under Clinton in 1998, the Senate voted 99-0 to support regime change in Iraq. Iraq had violated 17 UN resolutions, thrown out the UN weapons inspectors, was firing on US and British planes in Iraq, and refused to declare that his pursuit of WMD was ended. Interviewed by the FBI after he was caught, Saddam said as soon as he could be sure the UN inspectors weren't coming back, he fully intended to continue his WMD programs. In 2003, Iraqis thought they had never ended, as troops in Baghdad wearing haznat suits met Am.'s along the river as if chemical weapons were going to be used.

Otherwise, you can drop dead.

The Bush-haters are so blinded with hatred ,they have tunnel-vision.Nothing on either side, all they can see is BUSH,BUSH,BUSH.
They have hated him since 2000,when Gore tried to steal the election in Florida,by demanding a recount in a few precincts favorable to him.The court said no,count the entire state or stop counting.Bush won,and several independent recounts have proven just that. That is one of the few times Republicans did not suffer a loss due to being cheated by Democrats.
Most conservatives,I dare say,are not Bush-lovers.He has disappointed most of us many times over, but he is better than Al Gore would have been, and for that ,I am grateful.

Obama's Genetic Heritage!
I constantly wonder why Obama is exclusively referred to an an "African-American" WHEN HE IS (re: his GENETICS) JUST AS MUCH CAUCASIAN...He is no more black than white!
Therefore, Bi-racial is at least accurate. Could it be that his emotional sympathies are totally "black"??? Why does he never nearly refer to his Caucasian HALF???

I have a wonderful bi-racial grandson - and he never would distance himself from his equally-wonderful white parent!!!!

Actually, if (I shudder to even contemplate this)Obama comes President - because of the blind black- racist support we've been witnessing, it would - now that I think of it - be the ultimate "revenge" for slavery. I'm sure they believe this, since he has such close ties to Africa and unquestioned support for all things African (see his Trinity Church's website if you have doubts.)

By the way, LILLY...you are deluded.

Obama and Sharpton
Does anyone have a source where one can find the video of Obama smiling and mugging it up with "Rev." Al Sharpton--the nastiest Black racist in New York, and a judicially-declared defamer and perpetrator of the Tawana Brawley hoax? One second of that video tells it all. I hope John McCain does not shy away from using it as a campaign commercial. BTW, it will work wonders in the Jewish suburbs of New York and New Jersey. I said that I could never forgive Sen. McCain for the immigration Shamnesty, but if it is a choice between him and the Obama crowd--no brainer! Yeah, I'll go write a check for the "Straight Talk Express".

The Real Reason Blacks Vote Democrat
If you look the core support for the Democrats, it is the young, the black, or the female. A recent study on who follows current events the least shows that it is the young, the black, and the female.

The reality is that the people that adhere to the Democrats most closely are those who get their news from Oprah, and who have little to no knowledge about history. This is why any efforts to raise standards for inner-city schools are met with opposition from the left. Educated blacks are far more likely to vote Republican than BET blacks.

cleverness_of_me
That is very sad but very true unfortunately. I have to say though that I know an equal number of other races that applies to as well.

Whinny Liberals

Learn your definitions, Robert
As you have so arrogantly postulated on a number of threads, the use of Obama's middle name is NOT racist.

Obama's middle name is associated with the religion of Islam. (right or wrong - that's not the debate).

Religions are not a "race", therefore its use cannot be attributed to "racism".

And besides, those who object to the use of Obama's middle name are the true "racists" (using YOUR definition), as you assume facts not in evidence.

Thank you Primus54
For pointing out Slobert's ignorance.

I let that obvious rebuttal lie, assuming I had no need to defend myself against such an inexplicable slander.

Since the issue has been resurrected though, let me help Robert out. I am no racist, however, I willingly admit to harboring anti-Muslim feelings. Since Muslims come in all varities of races, it is difficult to make a case of racism from that fact.

I harbor anti-Muslim feelings because I consider it a murderous religion - a fact that Muslims themselves reaffirm every day by their actions. Call Islam a murderous religion and see what it will get you - murdered. Don't believe me? Just ask the Danish cartoonist, the Dutch film maker, or Salmon Rushdie.

Don't expect the so-called moderate Muslim to speak out against their murderous fellow co-religionists. Why? Because they don't want to get murdered. They would prefer to keep their supposed disagreement to themselves, and thereby preserve their own miserable lives at the expense of non-Muslim victims. So long as this possibly nonexistent bloc of moderate Muslims remains silent, they will remain unindicted co-conspirators and abettors to this murderous reign of religious terror and deserving of whatever retribution that befalls them.

SandMan
My pleasure to skewer the Townhall idiot whenever the situation presents itself.

I will take your thoughts on Islam a step further.

I consider it to be a cult perpetrated by a "false-prophet" pedophile and thrust open a people through violence and intimidation - not unlike the methods of Hitler and Stalin. And the only reason it has survived for centuries is because of its purported association with God - unlike Communism and National Socialism.

But that's just me...

Cheers.

Savage99
You are absolutely correct. No one knows exactly who B. Hussein is. He has had so little exposure nationally that he is a virtual unknown. The best I can tell he attracts glassy-eyed supporters who are reminiscent of the disciples of Charles Manson and he is a socialist. And can you tell me why people are writing about George Bush in these posts? I thought we were talking about B. Hussein and his friends. Changing the subject is preferred liberal tactic, I guess.

SandMan
You are absolutely incorrect. All of the PhDs in my family, including my husband who has had his for fifty years, have always been called Dr in every conceivable situation, as have our many friends with doctorates. Don't know about Cuba; have never been there---se me crei in otra pais.

I just wonder what the liberal press would do to someone who is of my religion(the Viking religion of Asatru) as I believe that all the Viking wariors were saints and could do no wrong.
I would have the good Viking warriors patroling our borders and ports with today's weapons and a few of their own of course.
We early voted here and am proud to say that we voted for Duncan Hunter, yes his name was on our paper ballot. And we will write him in in the general election as would our good right wing Viking ancestors. No way will we support obi, shillary or mcshamnesty.
Hey libbies, blast me with you weak rhetoric and give me a good laugh.

Your ultra right wing pal, B.N. Svara

Lilly - Au Contraire
I guess we shall have to agree to disagree. I have my PhD, as do many of my family, friends and professional associates. Within our circles (as well as Amy Vanderbilt and Judith Martin's, incidentally) it is considered socially boorish to refer to oneself as "Dr" in a social setting, when one's terminal degree is a PhD.

Of course, I must allow that customs may well be different in whatever narcissistic, socially overreaching leftist circles you and your comrades habituate, so in that respect, I must concede your point.

Obama=Carter
The only difference between Barack Hussein Obama and James Earl Carter is that we are allowed to say "Earl".

Some people have accused McCain of being "Hillary Clinton Light", because he holds similar values, just watered down. Obama has similar values to Carter, only more intense, but when I call Obama "Jimmy Carter Dark", people get offended for some reason.

KATZ
Your note of the trolls' obsession with Bush is well taken. No conservative on TH has had a good word for Bush from one year to the next. Who ever is in the 30 per cent support he gets, it is not conservatives. Yet the trolls continue to rail against poor ol' George. The subject is Barak Hussein Obama and Farrakhan. Those who wish to discuss this subject are welcome. Herring draggers merely smell bad and stress out my scroll key.

Wrong again, Robert
The first public figure to use Obama's middle name was Senator Bob Kerrey (D) - Nebraska, who also was widely quoted for his reference to Obama having "spent a little bit of time in a secular madrassa."

Last time I checked, Sen. Kerrey could hardly be deemed as someone from the "far right".

Of course, he may be to the political right of you - most people are.

To take a page from your book, "F minus" for you.

curious
Is there a better sign that one side of a debate has nothing going for it than that its best argument is that its opponent has a funny middle name?

I am trying to think of a way that conservatives could more clearly say, boy we are losing on the issues and are ready to reach for anything no matter how stupid it makes us look, than to try to make an issue out of the fact that Obama's middle name is Hussein. But I can't manage it.

Anybody have an idea of how one side could make itself look more pathetic, than the conservatives who are making an issue of Obama's middle name are making themselves lok?

Really, I am embarassed when my 5 year old pulls this kind of stuff.

Lilly
Lilly is missing the days when she had a CAPTIVE audience to lecture to.

BTW Obama's church gave Farrakhan a big honor. Black people are entitled to be racist don't you know.

Hey Lilly, did you know your boy is endorsed by Brezinzski? You are so well educated you must know the ramifications of that right?

Brezinzski wrote..."people, governments and economies of all nations must serve the needs of multinational banks and corporations". He dismissed the constitution as "inadequate". (More an obstacle I'd say)

In "With No Apologies" Goldwater wrote, "D. Rockefeller and Z.Brezinzski found Jimmy Carter to be their ideal candidate. They helped him win the nomination , and the presidency." Obama is their guy now.

Goldwater termed the Trilateral Commission, "D. Rockefeller's newest international cabal. It is intended to be the vehicle for mutinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interst by seizing control of the political gov of the U.S." "What the Trilaterals (can substitute CFR as well) truly intend is the creation of worldwide economic power superior to the political government of the nationstates involved..."

Lilly cont.
Lilly was recently extolling socialism on another post. The scandinavians didn't mind paying 50+% in taxes because the gov took care of them. She used the example of a mentally ill man being cared for by the state.

"Brezinzski too recognized the value of monopoly under Marxism."

"'To the Rockefellers', reports Gary Allen,' socialism in not a system for redistributing wealth-esp not for redistributing their wealth-but a system to control people and competitors. Socialism puts power in the hands of the gov. And since the Rockefellers(+multinationals/banks) control the gov, gov control means Rockefeller control'".

Obama will do VERY nicely. He will also surrender easily to Islam or what ever they cook up as a global religion. They must be wetting their pants over his ability to mesmerize people.

Lilly
The other day when you posted about the Scandinavian nanny state being so great for the mentally ill guy you said it was too bad the mentally ill people in the park across from you didn't have that kind of help.

What is stopping you from helping them? Why don't you put your money and time where your mouth is? How much of your money are you willing to give to help them?

I give 10% of my income to my church which has several programs to help poor and disadvantaged people.

Lon asks:
"I am trying to think of a way that conservatives could more clearly say, boy we are losing on the issues and are ready to reach for anything no matter how stupid it makes us look..."

Yes, Lon. We could be liberals. Nothing appears more foolish.

Robert
There is another reason to use Obama's full name--accuracy. I have trouble with your contention Hussein is a racist name--what race precisely would you have reference to.

I must admit...
It warms the heart to read the commentary on TownHall. I take heart from the fact that in 2006, when the vitriol was a-flyin', the November election resulted in control of Congress passing from the GOP to the Dems. And here we are once again in the echo chamber, with the usual suspects - except now it's 2008 and the White House is the prize.

And renny's little rant just proves the point. That's it people - keep it coming. I can't wait to read the post-election posts! GunnyG, I am proud to have served in Desert Storm as a Marine - and even prouder that I left as a SGT after my initial contract was up. Because as evidenced by your comments, reaching the Staff NCO ranks requires one to regress to a level of sophmoric thinking that should have been left behind in high school.

you've got to be kidding, lilly
YOu've got to be kidding, lilly. I live and work in Ph.D.-land. Up here in blue state Massachusetts it seems like almost everyone has a Ph.D, including me. I have never, repeat, never heard a Ph.D. called "doctor" except by an occasional student who hasn't yet learned that this is not a standard usage--at least here. What goes on in other regions of the country on this matter is clearly another story.

stupid lilly

As their whole phoney cult was the invention of the liar and hatred elijah mohammed what makes you think they are anyway some organization worthy of anything other than disgust from those they direct their hatred toward. A PAID POLITICAL ANNOUNCEMENT
BY SENATOR BARACK OBAMA (D-IL)

My fellow Americans,

As your future president I want to thank voters of all political stripes for their mindless support, despite my complete lack of any legislative achievement, my pastor's ties with Louis Farrakhan and Libyan dictator Momar Quadafi, and my blatantly liberal voting record while I present myself as some sort of bipartisan agent of change.

I also like how my supporters claim my youthful drug use and criminal behavior somehow qualifies me for the presidency after 8 years of claiming Bush's youthful drinking disqualifies him. Your hypocrisy is a beacon of hope shining over a sea of political chicanery.

I would also like to thank the Kennedys for coming out in support of me. There's a lot of glamor behind the Kennedy name, even though JFK started the Vietnam War, his brother Robert illegally wiretapped Martin Luther King Jr., they both slept with Marilyn, and Teddy's negligence caused the death of a young girl. I'm not going anywhere near the Kennedy cousins, especially Michael Skakel.

And I'd like to thank Oprah Winfrey for her support. Her love of meaningless empty platitudes will be the force that propels me to the White House.

Americans should vote for me, not because of my lack of experience or achievement, but because I make people feel good. White people who vote for me get some relief from their racist guilt.

I say things that sound meaningful but don't really mean anything because Americans are tired of things having meaning. If things have meaning, then that means you have to think.

Americans are tired of thinking. It's time to shut down the brain and open up the heart.

So when you go to vote in the primaries, remember don't think, just do. And do it for me.

Thanking you in advance.

Barack

You do realize that there are only three "Races": Mongoloid, Negroid and Caucasoid. Therefore, most of the brandishing about of racist, racism and such is incorrect usage of the term.

Here's what I'd like to know
How is it that nobody seems horrified -- especially Obama supporters -- that he parses statements just like the former Parser-in-Chief himself, Bill Clinton?

This should send up red flags for everyone with a crush on Obama.

Those of us who are already against Obama should add this to the list of reasons to be against him.

Those of us who are conservative need to stop being so driven to keep the Clintons out of the White House that we keep giving Obama preferential treatment.

Ms. West's column is just about the first time I've seen a conservative dare to say something that might conceivably look pro-Hillary in order to point out what a total phony Obama is.

Bravo to her for that.

P.S. I'm passionately against both Obama and Clinton. I'm less passionately against McCain. We need Alan Keyes for President.

It's okay is you disagree with someone's politics. You should then intelligently argue against them.

However, the use of the term "boy" when referring to a black man is historically one of the worst racist insults in this country. Since you put it in caps, I think you are quite aware of this history.

So, say what you really mean: You are a vile racist. You are a pig.

Sorry to see you had to run off - breakfast sure does come early in Thornton, Colorado these days!

You're about as popular as a turd in a punchbowl - and about as useful.

Sandman, you should feel honored
It's not everyone that gets called a racist by the racist, sexist, bigotted PERVERT who calls professional female print journalists "Anchor Baby's/Babes, or Professional Female TV Journalists, who dress PROFESSIONALLY for their job, whores.

And that doesn't include all the other things he calls every other columnist whom has the herve not to thinhk the way he does.

YES SIR, Sandman, you should feel VERY HONORED when the BIGGEST JACKASS on Townhall calls you names because he's jealous that YOU'RE TEN TIMES THE MAN HE'LL EVER BE.

We actually do know who Obama
is--he is a 19th C. socialist--already, only in the primaries, having proposed over $800 billion in "new" spending on:
$150 billion green energy
$60 b. new investment bank
$65 b. fed. health ins.
$25 b. more in foreign aid
$340 b. giveaways
$85 b. health ins. support, yadda yadda.
In case some troglodyte wants to call the above a "rant," those are numbers from Obama's own mouth.
We know Obama is a post-WW I pacifist. He objects to the war on terror, voted consistently against Iraq, and wants to talk to Iran's Amadinejad, the way Britain's Chamberlain talked to Hitler in 1938 and then declared, "Peace in our time."
We know Obama has no military experience.
We know in Chicago he was a hack Dem. pol.
In the IL legislature, he voted "present" most of the time, but now he isn't even present to vote "present" in the US Senate, where he has not finished a term.
We know he has never been a significant executive leader of anything.
We know Obama is not JFK, who fought in the Navy in WW II, commanded and went down with a boat, served in both Congress and the Senate, and came from a family whose public commitment included ambassadorship to Great Britain. JFK ran on building more missile defenses and protecting Taiwan from mainland China.
We know Obama has a wife who has felt embarrassed and denigrated by the US, despite her upper echelon Princeton-Harvard education, until her beknighted hubby decided to run for pres. of her formerly despised nation.
What else does anyone need to know any more about Barack Hussein Obama?

Robert

Obama -Typical Illinois Politician
I'm late to this discussion and have only had a chance to read about half the posts but I have to put in my two cents now.
Today in my local paper (The Chicago Tribune) there is an interesting article about our lovely Governor Rod "The Hairdo" Blagojevich and how he seems to be in quite alot of trouble.
It seems he has had some dealings with Antoin "Tony" Rezko(slum lord and all around Twit).
Now some of you Obama supporters may remember that name because Saint Barrack has quite a history with this guy though the annointed one is brushing it off as nothing.
If Obama is nominated this little history with Rezko will help burn him down along with all the other slimy little things this guy has done to Illinois residents. Rezko will talk. Crooks Alway's Do!
Here is my point, for you people in other states who know nothing of ILLINOIS politics do some research before you vote for the Messiah.
Obama helped Blagojevich get elected and vice versa. These two politicians are of the same cloth. They are both so dirty they should be on TV's "Dirty Jobs". The Hairdo got elected for the same reason people are voting for Obama he's young, pretty and promises change. This is not what we got. What we got (besides a $103,000,000.00 budget)was screwed by an old school democrat with nice hair and a taylor made suit.
I could be wrong, but I'm living in Obama style Utopia right now and frankly I can't afford it anymore.

I've been saying what you have for some time: anyone who came up through Chicago's politics and its machine can't smell all that good.

The fact is is that the MSM has completely whitewashed him in their effort to deify him - and it's succeeded so far.

So far, the best thing McCain has going for him is the 'bama man, who, if he weren't black, wouldn't have another thing going for him.

I believe McCain ought to go right after the white guilt Obama is exploiting by pointing out, regardless of being black, what a wind bag he really is, and that supporting him simply for symbolic, self soothing purposes is asinine.

A lot of you people have an issue with Barack Obama Church.

How many of you people here go to an majority White Church? How many of you people here associate with black people socially? Any of you have any black friends?

Do you let hate, fear, and greed dictate your life?

Please look in the mirror first before judging others.

The real fun is yet to come
What's REALLY going to be fun(if Wobbie the Faux Republican is still around and acting like the utter fool he is)in November is watching him make excuses when McCain gets his clock cleaned as to why and how it happened.

I'm going to ESPECIALLY LOVE seeing him try to blame all the Conservatives who wouldn't vote for McCain for the loss.

Even more amusing than that is going to be when we ALL remind Wobbie about all of the times he's said "We dont need people like you."

It'll be a hoot to be sure. But then since he's really supporting Hillary he probably won't reaaly care that McCain losses.

reverse
Senator OBama is the David Duke of the Democrat party.

Hillary Support Of Racist Goldwater
I just what to know why a alleged relationship between Obama and Farakhan is being hashed over, yet no mention of Hillary Clintons confirmed support of Barry Goldwater who was a known racist, segregationist, and anti civil rights movement politician. The talk is that Hillary has been treated unfairly, but the facts dont support that. If your going to pull up dirt you cant prove on Obama then lets pull up dirt you can prove on Hillary.

Real Hope and Change
Diana,
Nice to see your article made it to the top page. Shows people are interested in discussing this subject. Perhaps this issue will not go away for Obama as it shouldn't.
The American people must demand Obama denounce that horrible racist anti-Semitic church he and Michele belong to. This is what they are teaching their two lovely unsuspecting daughters. To hate Jews and white. They need to teach them you are responsible for your own future. That Jews and whites are not what is holding down the black society but their own bad choices in life. Poor people make poor decisions(Katrina). This would be real CHANGE and HOPE. Not just empty words.

One America ?
Not where it counts. In your heart and faith. Cheap words. Obama and Michele choose to worship with their own kind. A black separative church. What kind of example does this set for their children and all of America's children. Sure there are a few white members. But make no mistake this is a segregated black African Church. Empty words.

dixiecrat
the church I belong to doesn't make race an issue. Perhaps in your world the church is a divisive element. We believe in acepting all persons. Oblham's minister advocates black exclusiveness and nothing more than extending dislike and distrust of those not black

And the excuses begin

If McCain loses...it wont be
...because the Radio right stayed home. There are not enough numbers of them dispersed wide enough to make any difference.

The radio right was the biggest bluff since falsies...

Robert

But not quite as I predicted.
The Faux "Reagan Conservative" didn't even wait till november to start with the excuses for McAmnesty losing the general election.

MeThinks I detect a false bravado from the false Navy Captain.

Right Robert...
WHEN McCain loses it will be because leftists such as you couldn't drag enough of your fellow useful idiots across the Dem party line to replace the MILLIONS of principled conservatives not voting for a faux Republican.

Lula May
If they stop hating, what will their "leaders" do? Work on the factory floor? Drive trucks? A miserable future!
But with hate being the sole business of theirs, these "leaders" live in expensive houses, drive expensive cars, have black public adoration as their defenders and willingly or unwillingly supported by white liberal establishment. For example, Jackson claimed he controlled 10 million black voters in mid-80s when he was a Presidential candidate.
Now, hating Jews is easy because Jews are not armed and generally peaceful. Hating whites is also easy because they are the descendants of the slave owners and supposedly carry a guilt associated with their abominable past.
And, in general, it is much, much easier to drop out of school and join the gang than stay in school and work hard. It is also easier to hate than to love, because love requires sacrifices but hate brings a living free of responsibilities.

How do you like that Primus??
FOUR, that's right, count them yourself, FOUR EXCUSES, ALREADY, and it hasn't even been 24 hours since I made the post saying Wobbie will have all kinds of EXCUSES for why McAmnesty loses the election.

Am I good or what???

He's up to FIVE excuses now
. And that's in addition to the fact that he can't read or comprehend simple English, his supposed native language.

I never said IF McAmnesty loses.

I said WHEN McAmnesty loses.

Robert opines:
"The far right is so weak that it couldnt (sic) even nominate one of its own...so it is not a factor nationally..."

Do you even READ the things you post before you hit the button???

That is one of the stupidest things you've ever written - and there has been a bunch to compete with.

- - - - - - -

To the uninitiated:

Townhall is like a village of sorts, home to many legitimate and principled conservatives.

Unfortunately, every village has an idiot (or two). Robert is one of those. To him, anybody who has a political ideology slightly more conservative than Hillary is part of the "far right". Lately, he's taken to calling us the "Radio right".

Despite his protests and his support of McCain - his only "friends" here are leftists and brand new TH posters.

If it walks like a duck...

primus
I still don't accept that conservs will willingly stand by and turn the country over to either the missus clinton or oblahma. But mccain still has to court conservs, make a good choice for vp and give assurances what his platform will really stand for

wobbie writes: "..the far right is not."

Poor dude doesn't even realize just how "far wrong" he truly is... and all the time. LOL

CharlieS
What REALLY gives me belly-laughs is when Robert, aka, "Cap'n Bob" writes things like:

"gee get a life"...

Like HE has one???

I have a friend who is a clinical psychologist who has read a few of Robert's doozies, and it is her opinion that he is a very sick person who needs help... compulsive liar, multiple personality disorder and probably bi-polar.

I jokingly said that many of us here at TH could be psychologists then, as we had already come to these conclusions on our own!

I probably shouldn't toy with him though. Maybe I'm feeding into his disease.

Primus: You're probably right...

Toying with a psycho is not a good thing... One never knows when that psycho will just "go off!"

wildwest
It is a conundrum to be sure...

McCain has an awful lot of convincing to do. And if this past week in Cincy is any indication, he's not getting off to a very good start.

As it now stands, McCain is not demonstrating his willingness or need to reach out to conservatives - and his obtuseness is discouraging as it reminds me of his over-inflated ego.

Let's face it - if primaries were closed to party members only, no crossover and no independents - McCain would not be the presumptive nominee, at least not yet.

I'm waiting for some major bomb to drop - something that makes the recent NYT article look tame by comparison. If it is serious enough and if it happens before the convention, who knows what might happen. It could still be "draft" day.

Stop changing the subject.
I sure wish this site would monitor the post and delete all comments that do not pertain to the subject matter.
What is wrong with you people ? Just send
e-mails to yourselves and stop taking up space on this blog.

But Primus
It's so much fun and he makes it so easy. Sometimes it's just too hard to resist giving him back some of the crap he dishes out.

Frobusto asks:
"So who cares about them?"

Apparently you do - as your numerous posts repeating yourself over and over demonstrates.

Gee - get a life!

Obama is a closet Racist!
If you think Obama's going to get into office and support "traditional" religion or those who are NOT anti-Semitic such as Farrakhan and Al Sharpton, then you’re definitely AT LEAST one brick short of a full stack. In case you don't understand that analogy, you aren’t the sharpest tool in the shed, or you're the UNsharpened pencil in the drawer.

I see we still have a few "posers" on TH who are literally ignorant or downright stupid enough to follow, much like the little green alien toys waiting for the claw to come down to "rescue" them in "Toy Story." You are the alien toys and the "claw" is Obama! I have two links for you: http://www.barack-obama-for-president.org/Obama-Sharpton.j pg

Then there’s his financial backer and chief spokesperson that has done more to further his campaign than any other. Be troubled people; be very afraid, she has more influence than most women in the world: http://www.crossroad.to/articles2/007/smith-oprah.htm
This is the "mind training" of the future?

Lula May, Primus, Anne and WW
Sorry Lula May,
But our posts ARE related to the topic of the thread. We're pointing out to a Hillary supporter in here posing as a McAmnesty supporter is going to have fits when the guy he's pretending to support loses to Obama in November.

Primus, Anne and Wildest,
Have you all noticed, as I and Marines' Dad have, that for someone so confident that "they don't need us," and also that "Rush and the Radio Right are irrelevant" the Navy Captain sure seems to need to repeat it often.

I'd guess that he's doing it to reinforce his REALLY WEAK belief in his own opinions.
You know the saying, "Repeat a lie often enough and soon it becomes the truth(to the one repeating it anyhow).

Yep, I see you have, Primus

Since you beat me to posting the same point.

lula may
Being a trifle judgmental this morning, aren't we?

"What is wrong with you people ?"

I understand your frustration, but that ship sailed long ago... These threads have become what they have become, and mostly stay on topic, but I don't think you really want some paid TH employee sitting at a computer arbitrarily deciding what posts to censor, do you?

What is still amazing to me is...

How the media put Mitt Romney through the meat grinder for being a Mormon....

But, somehow Barak Hussein Obama is getting a free pass inspite of his own church and pastor's questionable history, and association with farrakhan...

Right you are Str8t talk
but the lemmings that are following him are going to go right over the cliff with him, and are too blind to see it.

The "Far" Right...

I doubt Rush considers the Far-Right his target audience. The Far-Right already know which issues they support or not, and likely never listen to Rush.

Rush's audience consists of many middle-roaders... UAW workers, Teamsters, etc.

Rush uses showmanship and humor to give these folks an education on the "Agenda of Despair" promoted by the Democrats. Slowly but surely, he enlightens Democrats.

Even though I find Rush's humor suitable for the potty... It does pull liberals into his audience and allow Rush to enlighten them.

Carlos
There you have it...

"Robert" has spoken.

"Data" is very important to our resident fraud.

You should do as he does, make it up.

Bwahahahahaha!

Primus: True! wobbie's made up data!

And, there is NO DATA that backs up anything wobbie says... and NO DATA to back up his claims about himself... NO DATA WHAT SO EVER!

CharlieS
I'm quite certain I'm not the first to notice the repetitive nature of many of Frobusto's comments.

You know, if somebody was looking to make a little money, they could go back through the thousands of posts on hundreds of articles and chronicle Robert's history here at TH.

There has to be some mental health researcher that has some grant money to pay for such information.

Who knows, perhaps it could be the basis of a doctorate thesis!

You're right
Primus54,
That would be censorship. Something the liberal blogs would do. So I guess we have to put up with liberals defending the indefensible.

Very Good, Robert!
I was very proud of you for going so many posts before your BDS kicked in!

You are making progress - maybe the therapy is working.

Am I crazy...
YES.

Anne
C'mon now. Amazed at the disparity between MSM treatment of Mitt's religion and BHO's??? Dismayed, nonplused, astounded, frustrated, disappointed, even boggled. But surely you are not amazed, which implies some level of surprise. Save your amazement for next time some MSM "reporter" recounts facts at odds with his political agenda.
And i have finally figured out my litmus test for McCain to win my vote. As soon as he announces loud and often his first act as president will be a full pardon for Campos and Ramos (sp) he has my vote.

Primus54..

I should make it up:)

Liberals could try talking to "Real" people...

Not just NYT's subscribers.

lula may
Hat-tip to you.

And the reason so many liberals come here is that Kos and HuffPo censor conservatives so there is nobody to debate with there. And they love to try out their talking points in a "safe" and anonymous environment.

Savage says:
"C'mon now. Amazed at the disparity between MSM treatment of Mitt's religion and BHO's??? "

That's because Obama is a Christian who believes what about 99 percent of America believes, and Mitt belongs to a cult that wears magic underwear...

Carlos
Just remember - the only anecdotal evidence allowed around here is Frobusto's (aka, Robert).

We make the exception because it is all he has to draw from - and we are practicing our "compassion" for the less fortunate.

Anne
Wobbie is sort of kinda right about Rush.

He has so many listeners that there are probably a few truckers, etc.

What is funny is his elitist attitude peaking out. What is even more funny is he has nothing to elitist about.

Good point Primus
Maybe Wobbie could even use it for his "report" that I'm sure he must still be working on.
You know, the one he's going to use as HIS "Doctoral thesis," after he learns how to spell and punctuate properly, not to mention how to use THE CORRECT WORDS to make a point.

MAYBE THEN, the day care center he attends will give him his PhD. In his case it truly will stand for Piled Higher and Deeper, since that's all he does is dish out B.S.

WarrDogg
I direct you to Obama's "Paid Political Announcement" above, posted Saturday, March, 01, 2008 6:35 PM.

Cheers!

Savage99: Okay, you have a point!

I guess it's just that pesky ol' Conservative desire for fairness, honesty, discretion, integrity, and oh yeah, responsibility.

But, thanks for bringing me back to reality, where little if any of those things exist in our bias MSM world...

AND, speaking of which... your litmus test!!!!

EXCELLENT!!! "... a full pardon for Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean he has my vote."
They need to be OUT OF PRISON before midnight of the day he's sworn in....

And then they need to be completely exonerated.

Primus54 and CharlieS
Don't know about you guys but I am loving all of the Democratic ads. I think they are excellent!

I have had to listen to these idiots for four years and their stupid "politics of fear!" baloney. And lo and behold, what are those ads?

THE POLITICS OF FEAR!

These fools never know whether they are coming or going....

CharlieS
Yeah - I forgot about his "report".

But maybe he's going to wait until January, 2009 so he can present it to his "Master & Commander" personally.

Of course, he'll have to wait until Obama finishes his inauguration speech.

But McCain will be in the audience!

Another thing I've noticed
Is that just like a good LIARbral, our Navy Captain still sticks to the "Iraq was not a threat" line, totally ignoring as all of his kind do, the point President Bush made in his 2003 State of The Union speech that "We can't afford to wait until the threat becomes imminent."

In other words, Wobbie you moron, we couldn't wait until AFTER Saddam got brave enough to attack us to do something about the fact that HE WAS a threat to some of his neighbors and quickly becoming a threat to the whole region. Which included OUR bases and other resources in the area.

WHAT part of that is so hard for you to comprehend?

Before 9/11...

There was plenty of Data telling the world that the Taliban were slaughtering women and children.

The Left didn't make a peep...

Until the Taliban blew up some statues of Buddha.

Only then were the Taliban condemned by the Left.

Lolo1
You are SO right!

Think one of them will resurrect the atom bomb explosion ad from the Johnson campaign, aka, the Daisy Girl ad?

If you've never seen it, check out this link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKs-bTL-pRg

CharlieS asks of wobbie: "WHAT part

of that is so hard for you to comprehend?"

Are you just being silly? For wobbie, it's impossible for him to comprehend any of it...

And, again you're asking him those hard questions.

Primus54
Basically they already have!

Did you see HC red phone ad?

Then you have Obama and his ads about fearing no health care, no jobs, and of course HC!

Really, I am fearful. Fearful that one of these yutz's will get elected I will not get to keep my paycheck.

Don't get me started how fearful I am of government health care.

Really we shouldn't be surprised since so many people really believed the Dems would clean up the pork barrel spending. At what point in time do they wake from that dream?

Anne
Thank you for the correction to Campean.

Anne
Dang it! You beat me to it in your post to CharlieS!

Somebody take away her caffeine....

Lolo1 asks
"Really we shouldn't be surprised since so many people really believed the Dems would clean up the pork barrel spending. At what point in time do they wake from that dream?"

Perhaps when Congress approval rating dips into single digits? It's not far off.

But they'll just blame it on Republican obstructionism - a concept invented by the Dems.

THE DATA
Was after we went over and blew the country up because Clinton was too involved in "other" matters to pull his head out and see what was happening in the real world! He and his wife both, along with many other "leaders" on the left side said that Iraq was a real threat so the "data" theory is busted; just like Ro-busted is!

The "data" that was referred to was AFTER the fact!

HER Caffeine??
Really Lolo, that's just plain mean calling me a "her."

Just for that you have to supply my Colombian Coke for the week.
Classic please, I hate that New Coke crap.

Savage99: I always have to look it

up and double check myself... :-)

Lolo1
Anne is very nasty that way. On the other hand, she saves me lots of typing, so i grudgingly put up with her.

CharlieS
Your too funny!

Coke is on me but be aware I was referring to Anne and her caffeine!

So for misreading me you get caffeine free diet coke!

Okay, okay even I am not that mean! Classic all the way!

Carlos
I am not a "Limbaugh Listener" so I'm don't know his audience, but I would believe you ANY DAY, over Ro-busted! Keep posting!

Robert
As Ronaldus would say, "There you go again..."

Here's a "News Alert" for you.

Just because YOU say there is no evidence of something doesn't make it true.

Of course, there is no evidence that you are a real, live Navy Captain either.

So maybe we should doubt that as well???

Bwaahahaha!

Savage99:... :-(
.

Savage99
Tell me about it!

The woman is greased lightning!

I don't know what she had for breakfast but I want some.

Caffeine free diet coke??
Oh come now girl, EVERYONE knows that's just another name for POOPSI in a Coke can.

I also didn't realize that you were referring to Anne. My bad.

You note, as i have, the democratic failure to come anyway near implementing the promises they made in 06 about "reversing" things in DC. Now change is their mantra again. I suppose i should take my own advice to Anne and not be amazed that Libs keep doing what they always keep doing. Each step they take toward that carrot dangling in front of their nose is a new one. They never stop to consider that the promised carrot never gets closer. At some point comes the wake up call. Demographics, the Ponzi scheme nature of Social Security, class warfare attack on the investment class, the changing world investment climate...no one in DC is even acknowedging these oncoming bullets, let alone proposing solutions. It will, as always, be the foolish and unprepared who bear the brunt. So much for the Dem mantra of being for the "little guy".

Carlos says:

Why?

Anne? Nasty? Tsk tsk Savage.
Hopefully, you were jesting.

Our party
I'm worried about our party. Seems like the right wing media is so distracted tearing down McCain. They don't see what's sneaking in the back door.
A total destruction of our country. Obama calls it change. But there is no doubt their goal is to weaken America. They believe a weak America is better for their world.

lula may
I don't know how long you have been visiting TH or reading these threads, but you should find and read some of the posts of "thebigmick".

He has an interesting perspective on why electing Hillibama might just be the best thing that could happen to the country - and we conservatives by extension.

WarrDogg
Hahaha!

Is this the latest incarnation of NYDogg?

You're a riot!

You know, one of the definitions of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Wonder how long you'll be able to hang on to THIS handle!

Actually - you serve a purpose. You keep up the stereotype definition for a leftist.

Hahahaha!

Heat in the Kitchen
We can always tell when it's getting a little too warm in the kitchen for Robert.

That's when he has to have "dinner" in Colorado at 10:57 AM MST.

I'd run too, Frobusto!

If only dreams could come true...
"or that he was going to become one that the rather intensive US "box" around him could not contain."

If the US could rid the US of the liberal whackos, this would be a much more peaceful world. I agree with GunnyG, Alaska is a temperate climate...in the summer. Put them to work on ANWR drilling. I will be posting later today on my blog to the offensive ad that was on earlier today re: energy! I can only dream that we could build a box for Ro-busted, or have someone pick he/she up and put a straight jacket on the nutcase!

"These fools never know whether they are coming or going...."

There could be a good reason for that; which is because their head is up an unsightly orifice that most proctologists only deal with!

bering a lib is far too attractive. Personal responsibility and accountability remains a concept foreign to the lifestyle of the left. They have never gotten over the notions made popular by the 60's. If it feels good do it not what the consequences. But the dims continue to encourage thisd behavior. By painting the right as intollerant the dims assure themselves of a base that would rather play with life rather than do something of value with your life

The fantasies from liberals...
"Well off for some...shooting then a little dinner then an episode of Sky King or two with Wonder Woman..."

Yes, "Off" applies, shooting is dangerous, I hope it's with the rubber band gun! Sky King I haven't heard of that since my older brothers mentioned it years ago; I had to look it up. It was based most likely on the Flying Constable of Twentynine Palms - Jack Cones. In the TV series he rescued hikers I wonder if any were in this Wonder Woman costume?

wildwest
That would be kirby grant.

Back to subject
Early in his campaign. Slick willy refused support from sister Soulja. Most evaluations have been that this was a master stroke, reassuring many white voters, and alienating few black voters. Whatever Clinton was, he knew people and how they would vote. BHO could do the same with Farrakhnan if he chose. He has not, for several possible reasons. Only h and possibly his wife know why for sure.

rowly
I stand corrected, but peter graves was in one early series. I thought sky king was it, I'll have to try and remember

Taliban and the left...

September 29, 1996
United Nations Representative Mtg. with Taliban:

"Holl said women's rights were an issue during his talks with Rabbani, but he did not say what, if any, steps were taken to ensure that women's rights are protected. He did acknowledge that the issue was a delicate one, given the Taliban's fundamentalist interpretation of Islamic law."

Here's the Liberal U.N. idiots "Talking Nice" with the Taliban. At this point in time it was known that the Taliban were slaughtering women and children across the country.

The Democrat liberals think Slaughter is "Delicate".

He was in Mission Impossible many years ago.

Ths "Plagiarism" thingy ...
Refer to the March 3rd edition of the Weekly Standard for an enlightening article concerning the source for the plagiarism complaints against Obama. It's entitled, "Coupe Deval," (Patrick Deval) the newest governor of the esteemed state of Massachusetts. As far as I am concerned, this is just another example of not knowing nearly enough about this presidential newcomer to put him in charge of our country - not NEARLY enough! Now is the time for the media to climb all over him.

More Democrat-Friendly Taliban...

October 4, 1996
Associated Press and Reuters: Anita Pratap in Kabul

"The United States, which has struggled to resist a massive heroin influx from Afghanistan, could benefit from Taliban stability. And the Taliban have been less hostile to the U.S. than the preceding government, with its close ties to Iran."
-----------------------------------------

I clearly remember the MSM bragging about the drop in heroin production in Afghanistan, and just how "positive" these psychopathic Taliban were for America.

Clinton sided with the Liberal Democrats and ignored this "Gathering Danger".

So Sen. B.H.O. can you see your way clear to ridding yourself of that smell of of flim flam oil and cheap perfume? Com'on a little ol' Lifetime Poverty Vow won't make any diff to a swell like you.....

Denounce & Reject?
He was quite adept at skirting around the true issue of racial divisiveness & the anti-Semite followers he has collected. Russert punk-ed out on his question, too. Moreover, Obama made Clinton look positively sluggishly pedestrian in bringing it up again. (What a bore to belabor such a point! I mean, really!)

He may be elected, but it won't be because the American people agree with his philosophy or ideology. Who knows what he believes in, for heaven's sake, aside from belief in improving our country, i.e., 'change'?

Used cars & snake oils come to mind.

Which begs the larger question looming here in the nether-world: are we too racist to require that non-Caucasian Presidential candidates actually answer questions?

Barack Hussein Obama
Anyone who says anything critical about this man is lower than dirt. The MSM and his supporters criticize anyone who expresses anything negative about him.I am afraid of either of the candidates, but you have to admit,Hill is in a bad spot.Every time she tries to get any traction against him,she is blamed for being negative. It is fun to watch, but,I believe, very dangerous. It is like he has a shield around him for protection. He is practically an unknown, has cavorted )and stiil is),with some radicals, crooks, etc. It is better to uncover all his dealings now, than when it is too late.

What if God ask....
If God ask you, why are you a conservative? What would you say?

I want lower taxes(rationalization for greed).

I want smaller government(rationalization for greed).

Personal Responsibility(rationalization for greed).

I'm against Gay Marriage(This is the only thing I can find in the bible that I can use to promote my political belief morally. I know God, you say help the poor, but that goes againts my political belief. The government should not be involve in helping the poor. But the government should be use to prohibiting Gay Marriage).

I'm against abortion (pro-life, but only for the unborn. No health care for kids, sorry that would increase my taxes. I love money more than i love people).

Most of the items listed above are Self-interest.
Things that Satan would invoke.

Dixiecrat=Republican...

I live in Detroit with all the welfare Democrat voters. Cheating the system is the rule, not the exception...

Working fathers rarely marry "baby's-momma". They allow the State to raise their children on welfare. Free rent, free heat, free food, etc.

You pay for his kids, I pay for his kids, but "Daddy" does not pay for own his kids. Many of these "Dads" are auto-workers earning $28/hour.

Liberals love to scream the word "Fair". I ask, what is fair about telling one working class man to support the children of another working class man?

It takes a Village
Carlos,
Socialism. That is exactly what their goals are. The harder you work the more you pay. That's why it's never worked. It makes people unproductive and lazy. Why bother working ?

I'm against Socialism for Current Man
Discipline of mind is required for Socialism to work. Current man do not have discipline. We are like animals, we need something to motivate us.

Capitalism is that thing. But uncheck capitalism is not always good for society. I'm for a capitalist society without the greed. Greed will eat away at your soul. A society without a soul is doomed to fall.

Double Standard
Pastor John Hagee calls Catholicism a "Cult" religon and endorses John McCain. However McCain fails to do the sensible thing and reject Hagee. This is going to hurt him later on.

Your comment back at 11:30 was 200% spot on -- poor Romney got crucified because of being a Mormon, and yet Obama can attend and support the most racist allegedly Christian church in America and the mainstream media simply turns in the other direction. Nope, no news THERE to report, eh? I wasn't the world's biggest Romney supporter, but he got clobbered every day in MSM compared to the incredible whitewash job being done on Obama's behalf. I'll never believe that Barack Obama is a Christian until he disengages from that racist organization he calls a church.

What's the difference, exactly?

One of this week's hysterical press scandals was that Minister Louis Farrakhan praised Barack Obama's candidacy even though Obama had previously denounced numerous Farrakhan remarks and the Obama campaign did nothing to seek out the Farrakhan praise. Nonetheless, Tim Russert demanded that Obama jump through multiple hoops to prove that he has no connection to -- and, in fact, "rejects" -- the ideas espoused by Farrakhan deemed to be radical and hateful.

A local TV station asked Hillary a question reminiscent of Tim Russert's exchange with Barack Obama, asking if she rejects Callejo's support. "I want us judged on our merits," Clinton said. "I believe strongly that the fact that we have an African-American and a woman running for the Democratic nomination is historical and I'm very, very proud of that. I want people though to look beyond, look beyond race and gender, look at our records, look what we stand for, look what we've done. The campaign later issued a statement: "After confirming that they were accurately portrayed, Senator Clinton, of course, denounces and rejects them."
It's interesting, after a few hours of deliberation mind she song a different tone

Yesterday, though, the equally fringe, radical and hateful (at least) Rev. John Hagee -- a white evangelical who is the pastor of a sprawling "mega-church" in Texas -- enthusiastically endorsed John McCain. Did McCain have to jump through the same hoops which Russert and others set up for Obama and "denounce" Hagee's extremism and "reject" his support? No; quite the opposite. McCain said he was "very honored" to receive this endorsement and, when asked about some of Hagee's more twisted views, responded: "all I can tell you is that I am very proud to have Pastor John Hagee's support."

Thus, white evangelical Ministers are free to advocate American wars based on Biblical mandates, rant hatefully against Islam, and argue that natural disasters occur because God hates gay people. They are still fit for good company, an important and cherished part of our mainstream American political system. The entire GOP establishment is permitted actively to lavish them with praise and court their support without the slightest backlash or controversy. Both George Bush and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert sent formal greetings to the 2006 gathering of Hagee's group.

By contrast, black Muslim ministers like Farrakhan, or even black Christian ministers like Rev. Jeremiah Wright, are held with deep suspicion, even contempt. McCain is free to hug and praise the Rev. Hagees of the world, but Obama is required to prove over and over and over and over that he does not share the more extreme views of black Ministers.
How come Tim Russert -- in all the times he sits and chats with Lieberman, McCain and various high Bush officials -- never reads all of the inflammatory, disgusting, crazed "Rapture-is-Coming/ All-Jews-will-Burn/ Kill-All-Muslims/ Hurricanes-are-Punishment-against-Gays" pronouncements from John Hagee and James Dobson and Pat Robertson and demand that John McCain and George Bush and Joe Lieberman "denounce" those views and "reject" their support? What's the difference, exactly?

What's the difference ?
Noah Thomas,
McCain does not belong to those churches. Maybe that's just too complicated for you. Good try. Problem is Obama can't walk the walk. He does belong to a hateful bigoted church.

Is this man crazy??
Please check out this link to a blog by one Kenneth lamb, a published writer who even has been published by the NYT.

Lamb states that Obama is 1/2 white abd 1/2 Araqb.

OK...why does his race natter at all?

The answer is because if the allegations are true, Obama is mispreresenting who he is to hype the idea that he is the first
"blackman" (actually 1.2 black man) to becomne President.

It also suggests that he has played the race card all his life to gain preferential treatnment.

If thats true, thenb Obama lacks the fundamental honesty to be president

.
I just want to know the truth, and would love to read what others think about Kenneth Lamb's article on his blog-and why.

for Noah
you state "never reads all of the inflammatory, disgusting, crazed "Rapture-is-Coming/ All-Jews-will-Burn/ Kill-All-Muslims/ Hurricanes-are-Punishment-against-Gays" pronouncements from John Hagee and James Dobson and Pat Robertson and demand that John McCain and George Bush and Joe Lieberman "denounce" those views and "reject" their support? What's the difference, exactly?" - that would because there IS NOT any. Maybe some mention that jews will burn, because from Christianity's standpoint, non-believing Jews are sinners and all who do not accept Jesus will burn for their sins, but I have NEVER heard ANY Christian preacher say "kill all the Muslims" or "Hurricanes are the punishment for gays". No Christian would espouse genocide, particularly for a group of people who needed Jesus that badly...

scuse me
that above post of mine is clear as mud. Let me try again:

What Noah accuses these Christian preachers of preaching, was twisted out of context by people who either never heard them preach or heard what they wanted to hear because they were either non-Christians or HAD to be there for some reason. Or, as I tried to say above, in the cases of the hurricanes and kill all the muslims comments, have NEVER been preached (that I know of).

Basically what I am getting at is that what Farrakhan does and what these Christian preachers all do is IN NO WAY similar.
