Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

A few weeks ago, I went rummaging through my attic looking for a box of books. Not just any box of books: my Clinton books. Or, should I say, given the range and number of tomes, my Clinton library.

I'd tucked it all away sometime after 9/11 when a burgeoning collection on Islam needed shelf space. Being able to reach for "What the Koran Really Says" by Ibn Warraq, say, and not chapter and verse on Clinton corruption, was suddenly an obvious priority. We were at war, yes, but there was some consolation in the fact that our long national nightmare -- the Clintons -- was over. At least it was safe to pack away the books. Temporarily.

We are still at war, but, like a recurring dream, the Clintons -- or, as Mark Levin pointedly prefers, "the Clinton crime family" -- is back, the missus now leading in their well-worn slot at the focal point of national politics. But there is something missing this time around. Something colossal.

That something is their past -- the Clinton past of political malfeasance and corruption. I'm not just talking about Bill's impeachment, although that's part of it, what with Hillary's never-revised contention that "a vast right-wing conspiracy" was behind all her husband's political travails. But I refer also to the commonplace lies and routine treachery the American people were confronted with, subjected to and degraded by over two Clinton terms. In other words, the Clinton past is our past as well -- the history of every American who lived through those years. And it has gone missing. To behold this presidential election cycle, it seems as if the entire nation has metaphorically put their Clinton libraries in their attics.

The resulting gap in national discourse keeps presenting itself to me, particularly when called on to discuss Mrs. Clinton just as though she were an ordinary presidential candidate -- someone with a modest Senate record and a keen interest in political affairs, weighing in on the events of the day.

She's not. There's not only all that shameful Clinton "baggage," but all those questions about what's inside that baggage, questions she has never, ever acknowledged, let alone answered. It's as though Hillary Clinton believes she has no past to reckon with; no broken trust to mend; no reason to acknowledge that, to name one example, amassing hundreds of FBI files of Reagan and Bush (I) officials for political use in the White House is a Bad Thing, even if neither she nor anyone else in the White House was actually indicted for it. And it's as though everyone else agrees.

That's why the spectacle of Hillary's political progress toward the White House looks nothing less than surreal. And hence my compulsion to seek out that big box of books upstairs, to regain the physical evidence of the complex weave of money-grubbing and power-playing that made the Clintons and their White House years unique.

I found the box, finally (after whacking my head on an attic beam), filled with "Sellout" by David Schippers, "The Breach" by Peter Baker, "Friends in High Places" by Webb Hubbell, "State of a Union" by Jerry Oppenheimer, "Hell to Pay" by Barbara Olson, and on and on.

Frankly, it all adds up to a giant cascade of yuck, which both Clintons have always ducked by, well, ducking...evading questions..."moving on." National Review's Jay Nordlinger recently recalled attending a 2000 press conference of then Senate-candidate Hillary Clinton and asking: "Do you stand by your assertion that the charges against your husband stemmed from `a vast right-wing conspiracy'?" Her reply: "I'm not going back, I'm going forward."

But what if it turns out she can't really leave the past behind? This question I have after picking up the 1998 book "Year of the Rat: How Bill Clinton Compromised U.S. Security for Chinese Cash" by Edward Timperlake and William C. Triplett II. It's a detailed account of presidential perfidy in, essentially, making available White House access, policy secrets, supercomputers and military technology (including advanced rocket-guidance technology) to China even as a rogue's gallery of Chinese communist agents, spies, arms dealers, pimps and gangsters were pumping massive infusions of cash in Clinton campaign coffers.

For starters, shouldn't Hillary Clinton at least have to explain how, as president, she would ensure that these compromises to national security that happened on her husband's watch wouldn't happen on hers?

I'd say yes, of course, and much more. In other words, this is no time to close the book.

my 2 cents
There is no way that the average intelligence demo does not know at least some of the above, and yet they continue their merry way toward nominating this woman to be president.

Go figure

Uncle Max
Remember, with Liberals it is FEELINGS, not FACTS that matter!

When I was a Democrat...
The Clintons weren't in the White House when I was a Democrat. When they remade the party of FDR and JFK into the party of corruption, lies and more lies, they forced me out of that party.

God help us if we have another Clinton Administration. For that matter, God help us if we have another "moderate" Republican administration. Bottom line:

God, help us... please!

Merry Christmas

Everyone does it
As a retired police officer with a degree in criminal psychology it is very easy to understand Hillary. Liars believe that everyone lies. Thieves believe everyone steals. Adulterers believe that everyone takes a little strange on the side. Corrupt people just believe they are normal and their behavior needs no explanation. It is the "Hell everybody does it, wink, wink" syndrome. Sad but liberals are sick she is their god to follow and worship.

Moronic Libtard Dimwit
How much of Vince Foster's Blood did Shrillary drink?

Scary woman!
If elected, I can only pray that the "checks and balances" our wise Founding Fathers put in place will prevent this die-hard Socialist from screwing up our lives!!! Perhaps we need a good scare. Socialized medicine, amnesty for illegals, 2nd amendment rights threatened, the list goes on. What will it take to wake us up? 9/11 not good enough? We have such a short attention span. A nation of ADHDs!

At least I live in Texas. We kept the right to secede.

Thank you, Diana
and Phileo. I was relieved when the Clintons were no longer in the spotlight. I so do not want to hear about their lives for another...years.
God help us, indeed.

Dances with Fleas
goes on his usual, hate filled diatribe about blood drinking warpublicans. What the heck is a warpublican? What political party is that?

BTW, Mean Little yappin Doggy, what part of perjury and obstruction of justice don't you understand?

The impeachment of Bubba Clinton was about breaking the law, not sex, like the little liberals all pretend.

I just found Democrat in my dictionary. Right there between demented and dimwit. How apropos........

Hillary
Imagine another Clinton presidency for possibly two terms, followed by a two-term Obama presidency. By then the Spawn of Hillary, Chelsea Clinton, will assume the throne for two Democratic terms. Then....

Imagine . . .
Imagine another Clinton term and another impeachment. It might be worth it all if the Senate has the courage to convict this time.

He was found GUILTY
but not removed from office. He was impeached - but not removed from office.

Can you ever get this right?

Hard Thought
writes, "Dances with Fleas". LOL

It is easy to see how so many dimmicrats choose to ignore all the corruption and scandalous behavior by the Clinton crime family. My mother-in-law thinks Bill was the greatest president we ever had. She also talks to space aliens and blamed the republican party and Bush in particular for the bridge collapse in Minneapolis.

What I find reprehensible is the MSM complicity in covering up and ignoring all the evidence of the Clinton crime spree.

To phileo:

The democratic party of FDR was probably as cozy with communism as Hillary is. Sounds like you grew up and started thinking for yourself and found the democratic party wanting.

Dances with Fleas
Anytime a dhimmicrat gets caught with a hand in the cookie jar it is always "those mean old Republican operatives" trying to bring down a great man. ROFLMAO!!!!

I bet you believe in a "vast right wing conspiracy", "Al-tuwaitha was a set up", the "Tooth Fairy", Shrek was shot live in Toon town.

What a maroon!!!

MLD here ya go
from Dictiony.com
Usage Note: When an irate citizen demands that a disfavored public official be impeached, the citizen clearly intends for the official to be removed from office. This popular use of impeach as a synonym of "throw out" (even if by due process) does not accord with the legal meaning of the word. As recent history has shown, when a public official is impeached, that is, formally accused of wrongdoing, this is only the start of what can be a lengthy process that may or may not lead to the official's removal from office. In strict usage, an official is impeached (accused), tried, and then convicted or acquitted. The vaguer use of impeach reflects disgruntled citizens' indifference to whether the official is forced from office by legal means or chooses to resign to avoid further disgrace.

Hitchhiker
I cannot take credit for the "Dances With Fleas" name for the dunce above. It was used two days ago.

But the name scratches the itch to paint him as the dolt he is.....

Maybe he should open a circus....

Clinton Impeachment
Jakota, regardles sof how you may feel about him, Clinton was most certainly acquitted during his impeachment trial. The votes in the Senate are in the public record. The perjury charge got a 55-45 vote and obstruction of justice was 50-50. I'm not sure what you are trying to prove by posting the usage note from dictionary.com, but according to the Constitution, Article 2 I think, 2/3 of the Senate is required for a a conviction. Therefore, Clinton was aquitted. So you are both right and wrong, he was definitely impeached but subsequently found not guilty.

Innocent
Is it common for "innocent" lawyers to have their license to practice law suspended? Or would only guilty lawyers allow this to happen?

Reader
Reader writes: “Imagine another Clinton term and another impeachment. It might be worth it all if the Senate has the courage to convict this time.”

This would be okay if it wasn’t so funny_ considering the Senate: These people don’t have the courage (read Cojones) to build a fence after approving and appropriating the funds. And you want them to have courage to do something as brave as this? Don’t bet the farm or bull on it.

SimJim
I assume your comment was directed at me, if not, you can ignore the following 2 points.

1: I never said he was innocent, only that he was acquitted. Not guily does not mean innocent.

2: I was responding to whether or not he was found guilty in the impeachent proceedings. Clinton's suspension and Supreme Court disbarment came as result of a plea arrangement with federal prosecutors regarding the Whitewater affair. These would have to be two seperate incidences as federal prosecutors have nothing to do with impeachments, and having been found not guilty of the charges for which he was impeached, he would not be able to charged with those same offenses by another jurisdiction.

I hope that this clears up any confusion brought about by my previous post.

Actually... Clinton WAS convicted...
LeftRudyRight -

Bill Clinton was "impeached" in the House, his trial sent to the Senate where he was not voted out of office. Interestingly in the Senate vote... not ONE democrat voted for either charge (perjury or obstruction of justice) - lol, I guess democrats don't believe such crimes could ever be committed by Bill Clinton?

However - yall liberals seem to forget the non-political matter of Bill Clinton being charged with a Contempt of Court citation by Judge Wright who presided over the Paula Jones Sexual Harrassment hearing. Bill Clinton was fined $90,000 and refered to the Ark Supreme Court. Slick Willy agreed to surrender his law license for 5 years and NEVER be permitted before the US Supreme Court.

Naaahh... Bill didn't do anything wrong!!! LMAO

To Diana West
Your partial list of books is very telling. You
read those books which would support what you are
determined to believe about the Clintons.

Have you read any of the non-propagandizing books
such "For Love of Politics" or those that are
balanced such as "Her Way" and Carl Bernstein's
recent book, the name of which escapes me right
now.

And how about her biography? Have you ever read
that? You may not believe a word she writes but it should at least give you pause. You may
recognize an actual human being there, rather
some walking monster.

The Hillary-negative books far outnumber the
Hillary-positive books, so you can't say that the
Right hasn't doesn't done their damndest to ruin her. But she is still the front runner. Sometimes you can overstate your point, you can scream and holler, and people will turn a deaf ear. Guess what. If we haven't believed you by now, what makes you think you can convince us now. 99% of the posters will agree with you. But then they never had a doubt. You aren't
convincing them of anything.

You are a big turn off. Maybe I should say,
keep it up. It will work against you, UNLESS
somebody finds something that Ken Starr didn't find with his $70+ million, four-year, mean-
spirited search.

smel what she's cookin
--The resulting gap in national discourse keeps presenting itself to me, particularly when called on to discuss Mrs. Clinton just as though she were an ordinary presidential candidate -- someone with a modest Senate record and a keen interest in political affairs, weighing in on the events of the day. --

Oh yes, maybe a script allowing her to innocently ponder, like every other candidate, “if I were Prez for a day”. Indeed she is not. She could not even carry that line. It would have to be, “if I were Queen for the day”… “and my hubby King for the day”. I digress; though she wants to make him ambassador of the world and reap the benefit of his experience. (experience, in spite of the vast right-wing conspiracy)

Red-y for 2008
Please refer to the earlier posts in this thread and then take a quick look at the Constitution and tell me if anything that I have written in the previous two posts is not true. In an impeachment proceeding, the House serves a similar purpose as a grand jury would in a federal investigation. They consider the possible charges and, if they deem there is sufficient evidence, proceed to pass the impeachement along to the Senate, just likea grand jury hands over an indictment. This is an accusation, not a conviction and not a determination of guilt. At this point, the senate considers the charges presented by the House managers, who act as prosecutors. The Chief Justice servces as the judge and eventually the Senate votrs on rendering a verdict with 2/3 majority required for a conviction. Is that clear enough. I'm not a conservative or liberal, as my screenname would imply, I am a moderate, remember us, the actual majority of the electorate in this country. I never said he was innocent, in fact, if I had been in the senate I might have voted for conviction so please do not put words in my mouth. I was simply trying to clarify for Jakota the difference between being impeached and being convicted. When referencing Clinton's suspension and disbarment, you must acknowledge that it had nothing to do with his impeachment, as the parties involved in that case would have no jurisdiction when it comes to impeachment proceedings. I hope that this post clears up any lingering confusion from any of my previous posts. Any other questions, please refer to the Constitution, I think you'll find it to be a very informative document.

2008 is right on target...BUT,

that is only one of many issues that the clintoons have not answered for.

There is the Peter Paul suit regarding fundraising... just for starters.

The quality of posts around here continues to
amaze me. What does this say about America?

Lemonade: Actually, is says a LOT

Then, it goes straight down hill, about 100MPH! But thanks for playing anyway. :-)

What does defending Hillary at all costs say about Americana?

Anne,
this whilst her campaign trots out kindergarden quotes of Barack Obama. Its Hillarious.

xpressit: Do you believe that!?!?!?

Desperate and pathetic come to mind!

Married to Bill...

Bill cheated on Hillary for 3 decades... That would make him a real heartless man.

But, what does that make Hillary ?

A masochist?

Hillary and OJ
Hillary is innocent the way OJ was innocent. Perhaps when OJ finds his ex-wife's real killer, he can focus on tracking down the members of the vast right-wing conspiracy.

Anne: Picking up the thread
"Actually, is says a LOT about the quality of posts, until you and your liberal idiot friends show up"

I think probably you didn't mean to put it
quite that way, unless I have missed a post
or two. But if Georgetwin is that vile before
the libs show up, then in heaven's name what
is he like afterwards.

If I recall correctly Georgie doesn't know
how to write a post that isn't vile.

And guess what, I don't think that there is
legitimate debate or discussion without both
sides showing up. It isn't that much fun
to be constantly self congratulatory with
out a challenge here and there.

Shove it over
ITs always "move on" when it's the Clintons, but they're stuck in the 2000-2001 George Bush mode. They can't even "move on" consistently.

Oh good grief republicans
don't WANT to rule her out. She practically guarantees a republican win.

Mealy mouth Dogg,
Clinton was most certainly not convicted in the Senate. We all remember that not one dem had the courage or integrity to stand behind their commitment to convict him if it was found that he was lying about the Monica affair (let alone obstruction of justice and lying to the Grand Jury).

The list is long and utterly undistinguised:
Lieberman
Biden
Bob Kerry
Hillary

Is it any clearer to you now?

Georgetwin asked:
" How much of Vince Foster's Blood did Shrillary drink?" and I AM VILE!?

Typical Klintonista, Kool-Aid drinker, obfuscation right out of The Shrillary Cartoon Playbook, “WAAA! They’re attacking me! WAAA! Where’s Billary when I need him? WAAA! I should move to Holland, I hear there are lots of dykes there! WAAA! WAAA! WAAA!”

And STILL no answer about Vince Foster all these years later!

MLD, I'm Not Going To
call you names. As a law enforcement officer, if I lie in the course of my duties, never mind under oath with penalty of perjury, I will, at the least lose my job. At worst, I could be prosecuted, fined and sentenced to prison.

My question has always been: If lying under oath to the grand jury gets Barry Bonds et. al. charged and prosecuted, WHY WAS BILL CLINTON NOT PROSECUTED under the law?

Also, I know some Democrats who actually have valid gripes against Republicans and make good arguments for those gripes without resorting to the low levels in which you appear to indulge. You really should kick up the intellectual notch a bit . . .

Lemonade and company
You all have proven the adage: there's none so blind as those who will not see.
These grifters are criminals, and are only succeeding because there are so many people who
share the same criminal mindset. People who don't care who they hurt, how they hurt them, just what's in it for them, how they can scam the fools today; the end justifies the means etc, etc. In other words people without consciences, loyalty, patriotism, ethics or morality who see only Dorian Grey, not his picture. And that picture is an ugly one. If I were a democrat, I'd be embarrassed and ashamed. But for some that koolaid is awfully addictive.

Georgetwin
Vince who?

The Best Clinton Book
'No One Left To Lie To' by Christopher Hitchens. This is an HL Mencken-style skewering of the Clint's dark, grubby, shallow little souls. Fun to read. You can throw all your other Clinton books away (except 'Year Of The Rat') because there is nothing left to say after reading this book. The pettyfoggery and lies just drop away. In a thousand years all those other books will have been long forgotten and if Clinton is remembered at all it will be in the pages of this book. Reminiscent of Suetonius.

marx says:

Congrats boys - you got a Republican special prosecutor to clean up some of the mess down in Arkansas - most of it occurring 20 years or so before the Clintons came to DC.

"In fact, the only people involved in the Whitewater deal not convicted of a felony were the man who could pardon them, and his wife."

Those would be the only two the American people cared about...This was a Republican fishing expo for sure - and to think that Bush scored $800,000 on insider trading at Harken - and the Democrats did nothing.

Of course, if they stay the majority and we get a Republican president...

never mind - they're too weak to do anything...

xpressit
Vince Foster was a Clinton Appointee who was widely rumored to be having a affair with Shrillary. Inexplicably, he was found dead in a Washington, DC area park DURING THE CLINTON PRESIDENCY! Whenever you mention his name to a Liberal, they start backpedaling, calling names and rationalizing.

no longer afraid of Shrillary
Funny thing, I had read all of the MSM punditry stuff and truly feared the Wicked Witch had daunting momentum, and even though the Republicans and RINOS are a muddled lot as opposition, I now think that Shrillary will fail. Slick Willie is a brilliant instinctive pol (artful dodger/liar/con man/parser), but she is less so, and their combined hubris somehow reeks to many. Most men cannot stand her, educated and successful women eschew her, and like Nixon, her demeanor somehow gives away her dark side. There is such an air of artificial elite entitlement to them both.

The MSM has helped her pretend to be a moderate and she has tried to thaw the icy veneer, but somehow that mean streak surfaces. Her attack dog Wolfson is a symptom, and of course turncoat confidant Dick Morris keeps betraying her for spite after she fired him.

The lipstick on the pig has not worked.. grandma is indeed a wolf!

Hillary Hates Obama

Team Hillary doesn’t think Obama is qualified. But surely that’s the pot calling the kettle…nevermind. My point is, if sleeping with Bill Clinton qualified one to be president, this would be a very crowded race.

Mickey Kraus/Slate: Hillary’s people “despise Obama,” reports David Corn in a fine piece of schmoozalism. They “don’t need any prompting in private conversations to decry Obama as a dishonest poser.” Hillary has (not uncleverly) asked, “”"How did running for president become a qualification for being president?” … Is this just because Obama’s presumptuous enough to deny her rightful nomination?

The same might be asked of HELLary!

"How did running for president become a qualification for being president?” …

She is no more qualified to be president than any other candidate!!!

The Clintons...
When Bill got the Democratic nomination I tried to tell a normally reasonable friend that he, Clinton, was a draft-dodging liar, and a cheating womanizer unworthy of being our President. How many of you recall the blank, faraway stare from those who would not hear, would not comprehend, and went on to elect him? All I can think now is, "Dear G-d, not again!"

Reality
To All the liberals out there. Hillary will never be elected president. She became senator in NY by never giving a press conference or appearing in a hard venue interview. That will not be possible in a national campaign.
Remember how John Kerry could not keep his stories straight from one appearance to the next? Hillary cannot keep her answers straight from one sentence to the next.
Sorry my Liberal friends,Your Gal falls apart when she fields any question not covered in her clff notes.

Turtle: I saw the exact reaction

whenever I suggested that Clinton that was a slimy "draft-dodging liar, and a cheating womanizer.” And if it wasn’t the blank, faraway stare, it was wild-eyed anger!

In fact, I recall saying to a friend that if Clinton was elected, it would be years, if ever, before our country recovered. Interesting, two days later she said that one of her professors at Villanova U. had said the EXACT SAME thing… word for word.

What’s even more interesting is how these liberal idiots don’t ever seem to learn anything from history… not even recent history.

My first wife voted for Clinton
helping him to get elected the first time. I don't know if she voted for him again in '96 since we had since gotten divorced and haven't spoken now for almost 13 years (WOO HOO!!!). I'm fairly certain that she did, in spite of being very intelligent, with two masters degrees, yet a card carrying member of NOW and believer in Erlich's "Population Bomb." Go figure how someone as smart as she could be massaged, manipulated and made to feel good by these hucksters (Clintons).

My response to her at the time was, "Good grief, woman! His wife can't even trust him, yet we're supposed to?" Also, she would NEVER tolerate such behavior in her husband, father or brothers, yet it was tolerable for a POTUS. I never understood the disconnect, but I never understood her liberal brain, either.

Personally, I feel my skinny butt was shipped off to Viet Nam in the place of Bubba's fat one because he was a physical coward, in addition to being a pathalogical liar, and his wife is too. When I came back, Hillary was either in or supporting the welcome home crowd that was spitting on me and calling me vile names.

Clinton always brought to my mind Andy Griffrith's character, Lonesome Rhodes, in the under-appreciated classic, "A Face in the Crowd." The climatic moment in the film is when Rhode's nasty, snarky assessment of his "stoopid" audience mistakenly goes out over the air, bringing about his downfall.

This has been happening again and again with both Clintons over the years using nicer, though thinly veiled language, double speak, and downright lies, yet their loving audience is apparently afflicted with a permanent case of selective hearing.

I keep praying for people to see just how evil Mr. and Mrs. Bill really are, but so far, no good.

IT'S THE CLINTONS, STUPID!
The Clintons got where they did, in no small part, because of supersize talent and gold plated college degrees. I would bet that if they were I.Q. tested, they would score above 130 on the common Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, Revised, (WAIS-R), which means "very superior" intelligence.

When the Clintons made their national debut in 1992, true blue conservatives should have given serious thought to issues of education, talent, and ability to compete on an equal footing with overeducated, overtalented, well-heeled leftists and liberals. There should have been a consensus among true blue conservatives of the need to develop scrappy shoestring budget political strategy to enable low budget true blue conservative candidates to have a realistic chance of winning elections.

There are doubtless those in the Christian community who believe that the Clintons are simply God's punishment of America for its sinful ways. However, the Christian community is largely ineffective in the political arena, I believe, because of its members who appear to believe that the admonition to "be humble in the eyes of God" means being literate but untalented second class citizens living on the wrong side of the tracks, riding at the back of life's bus, and accepting the stained glass ceiling that prevents them from getting ahead in many places. It is as though there is a stained glass ceiling that is white with a large black cross with the universal red "no" symbol on it.

Talk About Lying
Mention was made of Barry Bonds supposedly lying before a grand jury and what it might cost him. How about Martha Stewart and Scooter Libby?

It is next to impossible to have an intelligent conversation with anyone I know who are fans of Bill and Hillary. There is nothing that can be said to them to convince them these people are not what they are. Some of them are almost rabid in their defense. Hillary only failed at her health care plan because she was a woman and everyone was against her - the plan would have failed no matter how good it was. Right!!

Judicial Watch has not given up on a good number of the issues that were brought forth by the Independent Prosecutor and won a good number of the fights to bring the cases to court. Peter Paul was one of them and some of the recent deals involving fund raising in Hillary's campaign.

dogg pile is obviously suffering from

an ACUTE case of BDS!

It has rendered him totally incompetent, irrational, and floundering.

No doubt he'll soon require life support!

Roadmaster...
Perhaps someone else was sent in place of Bill Clinton; as a conservative, you probably replaced Rush Limbaugh...or Dick Cheney...or Bush himself. Here's an interesting thiught - which one of the gOP nominees will use Bush's 8 years in the White House as a basis for their own campaigns?

Interesting Reading
http://prorev.com/legacy.htm

don't close the book on the clintons
I have read everything I can find on this woman.
The liberal and conservative books, BUT I come back to the same decision every time. They are liars, she is self serving. They are selfish, materialistic and have no care for anything but power , no matter how you cut it. I can't imagine anyone voting for her. But I do see many people who sleepwalk through their lives not reading just watching CNN and being told what to do and think. Those are the idiots who will vote for the likes of a Hillary Clinton. I just hope the people who read and think out number them or God help us.

It's sad and amazing
what 6 years of "I just want to be a senator from NY" has done to the mind of New Yawkers. It is unbelievable how NYer's have latched onto the socialist teat that Hillary has been offering. So much for the "empire" state.
Having escaped the Peoples Republik of New Yawk 20+ years ago (and never looked back except to visit Mom on leave) it truly saddens me that these once individualistic people would be suckered into the Big Brother mindset. Sad...truly sad.

New Parody

The site you noted is amazing and should be made into a television special. It's almost surreal.

Here's another site that names of those closely associated with the Clintons who met an early and mysterious death:

http://www.greaterthings.com/News/Clinton_Scandals/dead_fri ends.htm

Voting for a Clinton speaks volumes about the moral corruption of that person. Then again, we have millions of people in this country who will readily make the Faustian bargain that the government, via a Clinton, will become their generous foster parent. The tragedy continues.

In particular....
..., check out the names of the former Clinton bodyguards who are now dead.

RIGHTWINGMOM

.....If Hillary wins the White House I would be in favor of exercising that option ...

.....What the heck ...Texas is bigger than France ...we have deep water ports ...plenty of gas and oil ...why should be allow ourselves to be dragged down into the abyss by Blue Dress Democrats and the Left Wing nut cases on both coasts? .....COLOSSUS

Texas!
Wow....maybe I should reconsider it as a possibility for retirement!

Not the Clintons, not this time
When Bill ran the first time, my mother and two sisters voted for him. No amount of reason would they listen to as I told them he would not finish office w/o being impeached. My prediction was right on target. They all voted Republican after the disaster of the Clinton years. I just dont think the majority of common sense Americans want to rehash the Clinton time in power. They are old news, ole hippies, and died in the wool socialist, dishonest, and power crazy. However some democrats are like good union members, "don't confuse me with facts about how the company can stay in business, just give me what I want now." So we have lost a good deal of our industrial base to China and Mexico. Then on the other end we are told that illegals are doing jobs americans wont do. Pure boloney. Americans will work if they are paid a decent wage. I dont think Hillary is electable, even with all the ladies who will vote for her just because she is a woman. Wrong woman at the right time. We are sick of the Clinton baggage.

For CALIFSON
Unfortunately, it looks like 2008 will be "Year of otherwise unelectable candidates".

No name calling, please
I don't get why people bother to reply to Military Dogg or the other name-calling types - what's the point? Intelligent debate precludes reptilian brain powered personal attacks.

The reality is - Bill Clinton was a consummate politician and because of his lack of ideological purity was responsible for some decent policies. Before all the conservatives ram down my throat - I am not denying the scandals, security threats, etc. However, because of his willingness to triangulate and compromise with the Republican Congress, we accomplished reductions in welfare rolls, etc., during his tenure.

With Hillary, we are not going to get that. She is an ideologue. Bill wanted to be President to stroke his massive ego. Hillary wants to use the Presidency to force us to adopt her ideology, "for our own good". Even most Democrats, when they find out how liberal she really is, get nervous. Most Dems are not hard core liberals - they are moderately liberal. They want more government intervention for the vulnerable members of society, not "1984".

When Hillary is caught off guard and her mask slips, she does not appeal even to most Dems. They support her only because they think she can beat the GOP. In addition to her ideologically pure core, she displays a Nixonian paranoia that is off-putting. I actually think Hillary IS intelligent, but she also has a brittle facade, and it will crack under national scrutiny if she is the Democratic nominee - because there is no way she can only debate on CNN with pre-planted questions at that point.

An Obama or Edwards as the Dem nominee is actually worse for the GOP, since they have enough integrity that they might be harder to beat. An Obama vs. Rudy match-up, for example, would contrast Rudy quite unfavorably against Obama in areas such as marital fidelity.

Hillary Ideologue
I have been trying to tell people the same thing but most can’t see it. People should be scared what she could do with Dem controlled house and senate but maybe it could bring about a new Rep. revolution, the question is do we have a Newt left amongst our current leaders in the party?

"Typical Klintonista, Kool-Aid drinker, obfuscation right out of The Shrillary Cartoon Playbook, “WAAA! They’re attacking me! WAAA! Where’s Billary when I need him? WAAA! I should move to Holland, I hear there are lots of dykes there! WAAA! WAAA! WAAA!”

YOU SHOULD GET OFF THE BOOZE - AND FAST.

"In fact, I recall saying to a friend that if Clinton was elected, it would be years, if ever, before our country recovered. Interesting, two days later she said that one of her professors at Villanova U. had said the EXACT SAME thing… word for word."

First, I can't imagine that you actually have
friends. Second I can't imagine that you get
your face off the computer screen long enough
to have a conversation with someone. Third,
I thought all universities only loved liberal

I guess that explains it).

uncultured, liberal...

Hillary Vs Ron Paul

Way to go, Anne
Your friend, Lynn

Lynn: :-) Thanks!
.

Anne
Read the post by Mister NY Dog at 8:42 this morning. I think I know what Dan Rather is doing with his free time now!

Lynn: This thread?

Don't see it...

But if it has to do with Blather, it can't be good! :-)

Anne
Yes, this thread. Look at Saturday, not Friday; at 8:42 this morning. It was aimed at you, and I swear it sounds just like Dan Rather, or maybe his henchwoman, Mary Mapes.

Lynn: Oh yeah, I did see it...

dogg pile is one of the deranged, irrational dumbocrat/liberal idiots who just shoots off from you know where... LOL

He is always pathetic and clueless...and, as I said, obviously suffering from an ACUTE case of BDS!

If you've read many of his posts you'll see that he has been rendered totally incompetent and irrational.

But, I'm used to being targeted by the lib-idiots. GunnyG and BrianR keep reminding me that you know you're over the target when they start shooting at you. LOL

BTW, are you fairly new here? I don't recall seeing your screen name much before. If so, welcome! TH is a fun place.

Lynn: And you're right...dogg pile does

sound just like Blather and Mapes! Good call!

Anne
I have been reading TH for over a year and never had time to read the posts until recently. I am hooked. I usually don't post anything, because you and GunnyG, Doc, BrianR, et al, seem to have things well in hand. I will certainly come to your defense if necessary, though.

I felt the need to point out this particular post to you because I could envision Dan typing furiously while dictating to himself out loud, spittle flying all over his sweater. I still think it's Dan Rather. He has a lot of free time, too, now that he has been "let go."

Lynn: Exactly the visual I've had! :-)

Oh, but please, whenever you have time, do post. The more the better...

TH is like a slice of real life... We Conservatives seem to have to stave off the irrational lib-idiots (although I'm still mystified as to why they come here at all, except to argue and cause trouble!)

Of course, Blather is busy now with his law suit. And, seems that he's going alone because his family and friends have all urged him NOT to go forward with it. LOL

Keep posting! :-)

Anne
Treasonous repug tried to engage me in a debate yesterday. After he answered a question I posed to him and admitted he thinks the Bush administration knew about 9/11 beforehand and let it happen, I told him that he is obviously a lunatic and I intend to ignore him from here on. Tinsldr2 tried to answer his questions (that he posed to me), but just got the usual BDL spewing in return.

Don't Close The Book On The Clintons
This article noted what I have been thinking for a long time. Where does this woman get the privilege of not having to answer the tough questions on her past? We know the media is aiding her and not willing to cross her but where is the intelligence of the general public that they cannot see through this woman and her political ambitions? Someone needs to ask the tough questions because the media isn't willing to do it except for the question by Tim Russert on illegals getting drivers licenses which she still has not answered and goes back and forth on. I still believe that the New York Governor was in consort with the Clinton's to get these drivers licences for illegals done before the election and thus illegal voters and backed out at their request. I put nothing by these people who do not know what shame is. Is this the best we have to offer our country by having someone who has bills passed in her name but claims t have the experience because she is the wife of a popular ex President? Good Lord help us if this is what this country has come to. And make no mistake by underestimating the Clintons. If she gets the Democratic nomination she will win the Presidency of this I have no doubt. Their political machine will stop at nothing to get her there and you haven't seen anything yet when it comes to muck racking if she is the nominee.

Lynn: Avoid Treasonous repug

like the plague... In fact, I suspect he might actually BE the plague.

He's been banned so many times, and has had more screen names than all of us put together. LOL

Tinsldr2 is truly and officer and a gentleman! Can't say enough good things about him. If I've accurately pieced together his posts, he's serving in Iraq or Afghanistan now.

And, of course, there is the usual "robert" (aka roberto & wobbie, among a few others!) He's one of our resident psychos! LOL

Herculean task
The problem with evaluating the Clinton Scandals has never been a lack of evidence. The problem has always been that there is so much evidence, evaluating it is like trying to drink water from a fire hose. You can't even begin to take it all in in one sitting, or raise even a fraction in one conversation.

The Clintons are a remarkable phenomenon, and arguably judgment from God. Imagine God testing a nation by giving it the most obviously corrupt leader possible, and then posing the question: will you tolerate him, or get rid of him? If America has been tested in this manner, we have failed: in a sane nation truly concerned with justice and decency, Clinton would have been removed from office by the 3rd year of his first term, and his Lady MacBeth would have to hide her face in shame.

(Unrelated to this thread, please read my political blog, "Plumb Bob Blog: Squaring the Culture," at http://www.plumbbobblog.com. Thanks.)

Anne
and don't forget HalD. I have never laughed so hard as when someone (can't remember who it was) was making up conversations between Robert and HalD at the end of every one of his posts. My sides were actually sore from laughing. There are some wickedly funny people here.

Lynn: Oh yeah, that was BmanIII...

Very creative, and you're right, hysterically funny.

Then, a number of other posters started adding hysterically funny sign-offs. It actually got to the point that I was going right to the sign-offs and had to go back to read the post.

Many of them were, indeed, side splitting. LOL

Yeah, can't forget halD, and knight of boob... whom I just ignore. A vile human being, kob.

But, we also have some really cool Conservatives, whom I'm sure you know about.

TH is really a good Conservative site, in spite of the lib-idiots who show up.

Anne
I don't get why the hate America firsters visit this web site. Do they have so much time on their hands, waiting for the welfare check perhaps, that they just want to try to convert someone to the Dark Side? I can't imagine myself wasting time visiting moveon.org or media matters. I can't even stand to accidentally get a glimpse of that face made for radio, Bill Maher, on HBO.

Lynn: Looks like we can add "johnf"

to that list of lib-idiots worth avoiding...

Lynn: I think we all ask ourselves

the same question...

But, I suspect that it's the same reason they make it a point to attend the Conservative lectures and yell and scream and harrass the Conservative speakers... such as they did when the Minute Men were at Columbia...

Or, as they do when Ann Coulter is speaking, or any of the other known Conservatives.

You'll notice, however, that the Conservatives do not do the same... go to lectures, etc. with the express point of disrupting.

Anne
Is johnf on another thread? I have read all of this one and don't remember him.

My husband has just finished putting the lights on the Christmas tree, so I'm up next with ornaments, etc. Thanks, Anne, for the chat. I'm sure it won't be the last. "See you" later.

Anne
" Spoken like a true hate filled, uncultured, liberal...No facts, just worthless ad hominem attacks...And, for the record, I in fact, do have a lot of friends, but NONE of them as moronic, stupid, witless, cretinous, illiterate, imbecilic, and ignorant as you.... "

Ohgod please, can't you please just shut up.

Just exactly what do you call yourself if it is
not hate filled, uncultured, etc. etc. etc.

What she said
"[A] giant cascade of yuck"--pretty well sums it up.

Bill and Hill

People love the likes of Bill and Hill. A matched set of sociopaths with a lust for power and the good life. This is not new, the Democratic dreggs have elected politicians in jail and those that drown young women and leave the scene.

Others have said it. Liberalism is all about feelings and a total lack of logic.

The Clinton Kool-Aide drinkers will
continue to shill for the "most brilliant woman in America". Hitlery was involved in every scandal: the FBI files; the missing billing records; the firing of the travel office the murder of Vince Foster; the harassment of the Clinton girlfriends; the pardoning of Marc Rich and the sale of pardons by her nefarious BROTHERS. Let's not forget her two brothers! Yes, they are the Clinton Crime Family.

Clintons' Attacks on Christians
Someone in the conservative media needs to remind the public of what Janet Reno's justice department tried to do to the pro-life movement as well as how the Clintons used the IRS to harrass a number of highly visible Christian ministries.

The Clinton Legacy

http://prorev.com/legacy.htm

This list was compiled at the end of the Clinton administration. It was last partially updated in 2000

Our Clinton Scandal Index

The Clintons, to adapt a line from Dr. Johnson, were not only corrupt, they were the cause of corruption in others. Yet seldom in America have so many come to excuse so much mendacity and malfeasance as during the Clinton years. Here are some of the facts that have been buried.
RECORDS SET

- The only president ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance
- Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates*
- Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
- Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
- First president sued for sexual harassment.
- First president accused of rape.
- First first lady to come under criminal investigation
- Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case
- First president to establish a legal defense fund.
- First president to be held in contempt of court
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad
- First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court

The Clinton Legacy Part II

* According to our best information, 40 government officials were indicted or convicted in the wake of Watergate.

A reader computes that there was a total of 31 Reagan era convictions, including 14 because of Iran-Contra and 16 in the Department of Housing & Urban Development scandal.

47 individuals and businesses associated with the Clinton machine were convicted of or pleaded guilty to crimes with 33 of these occurring during the Clinton administration itself. There were in addition 61 indictments or misdemeanor charges. 14 persons were imprisoned.

A key difference between the Clinton story and earlier ones was the number of criminals with whom he was associated before entering the White House.

Using a far looser standard that included resignations, David R. Simon and D. Stanley Eitzen in Elite Deviance, say that 138 appointees of the Reagan administration either resigned under an ethical cloud or were criminally indicted. Curiously Haynes Johnson uses the same figure but with a different standard in "Sleep-Walking Through History: America in the Reagan Years: "By the end of his term, 138 administration officials had been convicted, had been indicted, or had been the subject of official investigations for official misconduct and/or criminal violations. In terms of number of officials involved, the record of his administration was the worst ever."

before we start bashing the clintons
let's stop for a sec and evaluate our now white house adminstration.

now compare the severity of the offenes committed by the current administration and why republicans won't seek another election, as jesus would say: "he who without sins, cast the first stone. dare ya!!!

The current admin. isn't running ....

HELLary Clinton IS.....

Hillary is running for president and she has a past. Voters are entitled to have her answer questions. This is the subject of the column. If you disagree that we are entitled. please say so. If you choose to answer in her defense, please do. Otherwise, kindly avoid dragging in irrelevant red herrings. Most of the conservatives here on TH are more aware of the performance of Mr. Bush and the RINO rascals in congress than you are. Unlike some voters, conservatives don't trust people who say one thing and do another. If President Bush were a candidate today he would almost certainly be rejected by his own party, because we hold him to his lapses. Slick Willy's lapses are overlooked by his supporters. If he were a candidate, he'd be a shoo-in.

hildebeast ugg
Im so glad you are here to keep tabs on HILLARY! I like your common sense approach the documentation you have on the CLINTON crime machine
Thank you very much

Mister NY dog and Higene
It seems a bit dyslexic to speak of republicans who don't hate President Bush as you have. It seems as if it was a different president who made the subject of oral sex so prevalent that it has become quite popular with 10 and 11 yr-old children - after all it isn't really sex.

And when a liberal can prove that President Clinton was hated because of who he was instead of people despising what he was doing, it would be possible to have an intelligent conversation. The main platform of the Democratic party has been "WE HATE BUSH" for years now. When they did get into power, how many investigations have been begun, only to yield nothing?

When are politicians actually going to get around to the business of doing the right thing - what is best for this country - instead of spending their time trying to gain even more power and being hateful. I wish you two especially would go back and compare how Clinton was spoken of in the press compared to Bush. You blame him for our unpopularity with other countries, but don't think it may be a possibility that people are sickened by the nastiness and hate which comes from Democrats, media, the academic and Hollywood elite.

I'm also really tired of hearing that Christians are dumb and less educated. That's one of the reasons President Bush is so hated. Besides, PROVE IT! What you feel is totally irrelevant to tossing some opinion around as if you have statistical proof.

Bill and Hill

It would not surprise me to learn the Bill and Hill get tons of fan mail from Boris Putin. He wants to know how they pull it off.

How can they manage to be sociopaths and fool people all the time? They are good at it!

If the Clintons have an IQ of 130...
it's a combined IQ! Mine is 150, and I don't lie, cheat, and steal to get where I'm at! You might also realize, (not trying to pick on those that are educated in AR) but it is the lowest education level in the 50 states!

http://www.morganquitno.com/edrank.htm

The rank "50" means the lowest, which AR has the honor of being the lowest in the nation! Their teachers are some of the lowest paid teachers in the nation as well.

No wonder the Clintons were able to fool the people in Arkansas, not to say that all from AR are not educated. I know some very intelligent people there, but let the numbers speak!

to Military Lovin' Dogg
Yavapaidiane wrote "However, the Christian community is largely ineffective in the political arena, I believe, because of its members who appear to believe that the admonition to "be humble in the eyes of God" means being literate but untalented second class citizens living on the wrong side of the tracks, riding at the back of life's bus, and accepting the stained glass ceiling that prevents them from getting ahead in many places."

It seems to be incomprehensible to many left-leaning people that there are many (maybe even more!) highly educated people who disagree with them because of logical reasons, not because they "feel" that something must be right because they believe it is. Of course, some of those same people will say they don't ascribe to a belief system, because they are all equal. I'm sure the Clintons are quite intelligent, but they are the poster children for what happens when right and wrong can no longer be defined because there are no absolute values. "It depends upon what 'is' is."

It's That Song
that scares me. Whenever I hear our national treasure of a song, 'Hail To The Chief', I get chills of pride in our nation and its history.

The other day I imagined it being played for Miss Hillary and the pride turned to absolute fear.

Please all you citizens and guardians of our nation ......VOTE EARLY AND OFTEN to prevent my nightmare from comming true!
