Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Shut up.

When all is said and done -- when protestors junk their placards, when burning churches cool, when a murdered nun's grave grows grass -- "shut up" is the underlying message of Pope Rage, the latest fulmination to come from Islam, this time over Pope Benedict's recent lecture on faith and reason. When the pope argued, quoting a Byzantine source on Muhammad, that the practice of forced conversion -- key to Islamic expansion over the centuries -- is inimical to both faith and reason, the reaction of anger and violence was instantaneous. Just shut up, the umma exclaimed.

Or, to put it more elegantly, as did Daniel Pipes: "The Muslim uproar has a goal -- to prohibit criticism of Islam by Christians and thereby impose Shariah norms in the West. Should Westerners accept this central tenet of Islamic law, others will surely follow. Retaining free speech about Islam, therefore, represents a critical defense against the imposition of an Islamic order." The question is, will we retain our free speech about Islam? Speaking at the United Nations this week, Pakistan's Pervez Musharraf asked the international community to ban the "defamation of Islam" -- a rendition of "shut up" that's a constant refrain at the United Nations -- but it looks like mum's already the word. Just read through George W. Bush's address to the world body. "Islamic fascists" are out. "Extremists who use terror as a weapon to create fear" are in.

We probably have presidential pal and roving ambassador Karen Hughes to thank for Bush's discreet-to-the-point-of-incomprehensible talk. "Diplomats say that Muslims hear (the phrase 'Islamic fascists') as an attack on their religion, thereby validating the extremists' false charge that the United States is at war with Islam," writes Morton Kondracke, explaining Hughes' semantic sentiments, which he says have put the kibosh on administration straight talk. But maybe there's more (less) to it. Earlier this month, Hughes wrote: "As I have traveled the world, I have met those who try to justify the violence based on policy differences, long-held grievances or a perceived threat from the West."

Differences, grievances, threat: Isn't she missing some little old jihad thing? Not that she's alone. Take Hughes mentor Edward Djerejian. Veteran diplomat to assorted Middle Eastern countries -- warm to Arabs, cool to Israel (just like his close associate James Baker, who now co-chairs the vaunted Iraq Study Group) -- Djerejian is another happy warrior of ambiguity. The "seminal challenge" of our age, as Djerejian describes it, is "the struggle for ideas between the forces of moderation and extremism, whether it be secular extremism or religious extremism of no matter what religion, no matter what culture."

This is a challenge, all right -- a challenge to know what he's talking about. But such obfuscation is more than just the antithesis of reasoned critique. It also happens to comply with what Pipes calls "Shariah norms" in the West.

Islam prohibits "blasphemy," which includes criticism of its prophet Muhammad. The sharia penalty is death. But if it is "extremists" who carry the penalty out -- as in the ritual murders of Theo van Gogh in Amsterdam (2004) and Mohammed Taha in Sudan (2006) -- what Pope Rage reveals is how shockingly little separates "moderates" from "extremists" when it comes to the blasphemy-taboo in the first place.

"Even the most moderate and Westernized Muslims will not tolerate insults to the Prophet Muhammad," writes Tulin Daloglu, commenting on Pope Rage from the moderate side of Islam, in The Washington Times. "Each offense unites Muslims against Western prejudices and rejection -- and the extremists gain more credibility."

So shut up.

Blogging online, columnist Mona Charen reported on another moderate, George Washington University's Seyyed Hossein Nasr. In an interview with NPR host Diane Rehm, Nasr contested that Pope Rage violence against Christians was not unprovoked. As Charen wrote, "Diane Rehm equably restated his position (I paraphrase): 'So you think words are violence.' He confirmed." So shut up.

Meanwhile, listen to the voice of bona fide "extremism," Great Britain's own Anjem Choudary, as reported in the Evening Standard: "The Muslims take their religion very seriously and non-Muslims must appreciate that and must also understand that there may be serious consequences if you insult Islam and the prophet."

He continued: "Whoever insults the message of Muhammad is going to be subject to capital punishment."

"Shut up," say the moderates, "or else," say the extremists. Frankly, this sounds an awful lot as if the "moderates" are as non-reasonable as the "extremists." This may be shocking -- but it's nothing to be left speechless over.

Shutting up to avoid offending Moslems
I totally agree with you, but don't think you have gone far enough.
The same advice should be given to our president, who reserves to himself the right to determine who is evil and who is not, and the right to challenge the patriotism of those who don't agree with him.
The same advice should be given to those religous zealots in the US who demand "respect" for their religion and want to control the lives of gays, pregnant women, and the science of evolution, and who demand tax exempt status and faith based initiatives to further their evangelism.
Don't let any of these extremists who worship stone age myths tell us to shut up when we speak up for human rights and equality for all human beings.

Understanding Islam

This is from my blog, Against the Tide. I've posted versions of it as replies to columns on the Pope's comment and the Islamic response.

I want to show that Ms. West is exactly on target with her penultimate sentence: “Frankly, this sounds an awful lot as if the "moderates" are as non-reasonable as the "extremists." The texts below, all taken from Muslim websites, should give us needed intel on our enemy.

Note to readers: In 8.5. below, the TH language police made me change the name of a hot afterlife venue from its original name to "Heck." Sorry. And I thought you conservatives were opposed to PC!

I'm a liberal academic in Massachusetts. I've taught college students about Islam--its theology and its politics--for over 30 years. The resources available now online can be very useful. Here are a few of them that are easily found. I've chosen mostly sources on jihad, with a couple of others thrown in.

I will say bluntly that it is absolutely necessary to understand the sheer alienness of Islam. Differences between Islam and Christianity are not like differences between Lutherans and Catholics, or Baptists and Methodists. The differences go all the way down.

1. For starters, a short piece on jihad from the reliable and accurate Daniel Pipes:

http://www.danielpipes.org/article/990

2. Here’s a Muslim site claiming that jihad isn’t really about violence. Yes, it is true that there is a meaning for "jihad" that emphasizes and inner, spiritual struggle in the soul of the believer, but that's not the primary meaning.

http://www.islamworld.net/#jihad

3.Read this one to learn what our enemy—and yes—I believe Islam as such, not just so-called ‘radical Islam” is our enemy--believes

http://www.youngmuslims.ca/online_library/books/jihad/#why_fight

Here is a sample:

Hasan al-Banna:

“Why Do the Muslims Fight?

"Islam allows jihad and permits war until the following Qur'anic verse is fulfilled:

‘We will we show them Our signs in the universe, and in their ownselves, until it becomes manifest to them that this (the Qur'an) is the truth.’

(Surat al-Fussilat (41), ayah 53)

People have for some time now ridiculed this but today these same people acknowledge that preparation for war is the surest way to peace! Allah did not ordain jihad for the Muslims so that it may be used as a tool of oppression or tyranny or so that it may be used by some to further their personal gains. Rather jihad is used to safeguard the mission of spreading Islam. This would guarantee peace and the means of implementing the Supreme Message. This is a responsibility which the Muslims bear, this Message guiding mankind to truth and justice. For Islam, even as it ordains jihad, it extols peace: the Blessed and Almighty said:

‘But if they incline to peace, you also incline to it, and (put your) trust in Allah.’

(Surat al-Anfal (8), ayah 61)

"The Muslims in war had only one concern and this was to make the name of Allah Supreme, there was no room at all for any other objective.”

4. This next site has an exhaustive and authoritative presentation—tough going, but revealing. If you read the whole site carefully, you’ll learn that jihad is, in part, a fight for the freedom of all mankind to believe the truth about God. Remember that in Islam no one has the freedom to believe what is false about God.

http://al-islam.org/short/jihad/index.html

Here is a sample on comparing Islam and Christianity on the question of jihad:

Ayatullah Morteza Mutahhari

“It is said about Christianity that it has the distinction of not having any rule governing war. We, on the other hand, say that Islam has the distinction of having the law of jihad. If we look closely, we see that in Christianity there is no jihad because it has nothing at all. By which I mean that there is no Christian structure of society, no Christian legal system, and no Christian rules as to how a society is to be formed, for these to contain a law of jihad. There is no substance in Christianity; it contains no more than a few moral teachings that form a set of advice such as "tell the truth", "do not tell lies", "do not gobble up the wealth of others", and so on. Such things do not call for jihad? Islam however is a religion that sees it its duty and commitment to form an Islamic state. Islam came to reform society and to form a nation and government. Its mandate is the reform of the whole world. “

“Such a religion cannot be indifferent. It cannot be without a law of jihad. In the same way, its government cannot be without an army. While the scope of Christianity is extremely limited, that of Islam is extremely wide. While Christianity does not cross the frontiers of advice, Islam is a religion which covers all the activities of human life. It has laws which govern the society, economic laws, and political laws. It came to organize a state, to organize a government. Once this done, how can it remain without an army? How can it be without a law of jihad? “

Gosh, If Christianity can't do all this how did it manage to create those Crusades Muslims are always whining about? Just a thought.

5. Here is another explanation and defense of jihad, which includes a lot on how cool martyrdom (shahadat) is.

http://al-islam.org/beliefs/philosophy/jihadandshahadat.html

Here is a sample:

Ayatullah Sayyid Mahmud Taleqani

“The real question is whether or not Islam is a true religion. If it is a true religion, if it is a religion teaching the unity of God and obedience to the one God, if it has laws and regulations useful to the world and it can make the people fortunate, such a religion has to advance. If there is no sword, it should advance with teeth and claws. One cannot ask why Islam has advanced with the sword. The real question is whether it is the truth or fallacy which has advanced. It is wrong to argue, as some do, that since it has advanced by the sword, it is false. If you are not prejudiced, if you do not wish to remain under illusion, and if you do not wish to paint a false caricature of Islam for the already prejudiced masses of Europe, why do you argue as such? Do you mean that since the Muslims have fought, Islam is a false religion? Isn't it more reasonable to say, that because Islam is a true religion, it has not disregarded the necessity of warfare, and on the contrary has given a commandment to that effect?”

I guess Jesus should have enlisted in the Roman army when he met that centurion.

6. This next is from another website extolling martyrdom. Even those 72 virgins can't compare with what the martyr gets here!

http://www.shariati.com/jihadand.html

Dr. Ali Sharitati

“ A Shahid is the one who negates his whole existence for the sacred ideal in which we all believe. It is natural then that all the sacredness of that ideal and goal transports itself to his existence. True, that his existence has suddenly become non-existent, but he has absorbed the whole value of the idea for which he has negated himself. No wonder then, that he, in the mind of the people, becomes sacredness itself. In this way, man becomes absolute man, because he is no longer a person, an individual. He is "thought." He had been an individual who sacrificed himself for "thought" Now he is "thought" itself. For this reason, we do not recognize Husayn as a particular person who is the son of Ali. Husayn is a name for Islam, justice, imamat, and divine unity. We do not praise him as an individual in order to evaluate him and rank him among shuhada. This issue is not relevant. When we speak of Husayn, we do not mean Husayn as a person. Husayn was that individual who negated himself with absolute sincerity, with the utmost magnificence within human power, foran absolute and sacred value. From him remains nothing but a name.
His content is no longer an individual, but is a thought. He has transformed himself into the very school [for which he has negated him-self].”

“An individual who becomes a shahid for the sake of a nation, and thus obtains sacredness, earns this status. In the opinion of the ones who do not recognize a nation as the sum of individuals, but recognize it as a collective spirit above the individuals, a shahid is a spiritual crystallization of that collective spirit which they call "nation." Likewise, when an individual sacrifices himself for the sake of knowledge, he is no longer an individual. He becomes knowledge itself. He becomes the shahid of knowledge. We praise liberty through an individual who has given himself to liberty; we do not praise "him" because he was a good person. This is not of course in contradiction with the fact that, from God's perspective, he is still an individual, and in the hereafter, he will have a separate destiny and account. But in the society, and by the criterion of our school, we do not praise him as an individual; we praise the thought, the sacred. At this point, the meaning of the word "shahid" is all the more clear. When the belief in a sacred school of thought is gradually eroding, is about to vanish or be forgotten in a new generation due to a conspiracy, suddenly an individual, by negating himself, re-establishes it. In other words, he calls it back again to the scene of the world. By sacrificing his existence, he affirms the thitherto vanishing existence of that ideal. For this reason, he is shahid (witness, present) and mashhud (visible). He is always in front of us. The thought also obtains presence and permanence through him. It becomes revived and obtains a soul again.”

7. This one—a site intended for Muslim women-- explains why Islam discourages, almost to the point of prohibition, music and dancing.

This is why you will never, ever see an imam on "Dancing with the Stars" or a Muslim country-western singer with big hair.

http://members.tripod.com/oum_abdulaziz/music4.html#B

Here is a sample:

Abu Bilaal Mustafa al-Kanadi

“Preceding texts of the sunnah designated the general ruling of prohibition regarding singing under certain circumstances. The narration of Al-Haakim described the singing voice coupled with music as imbecilic and sinful. Naturally, singing to musical accompaniment is forbidden since it is coupled with music. (*255) As for innocent singing to the accompaniment of just the daff, this has been allowed on only specific occasions. (*256) “

“Singing without musical accompaniment is permitted under certain circumstances and with particular conditions. The lyrics of the songs must be pure and innocent, and must keep within the moral bounds set by Islamic teachings. Hence, lyrics which are erotic and licentious (*257) and/or sung in a licentious manner (*258) (which adversely affects the libidinous instincts of the listener) are undoubtedly forbidden. Moreover, even innocent songs become forbidden if they are performed in the presence of, or are coupled with, such prohibited acts as gambling, drinking and other deeds of moral depravity. Singing by women is restricted to a female audience as the nature of a woman's (singing) voice is to excite sexual feeling in the male listener. Generally speaking, these songs should be pure and innocent although they need not be restricted to Islamic themes. They may express simple joys, wisdom, etc. They may be in praise of such attributes as courage, fearlessness and strength; or the lyrics may commemorate historical incidents such as battles against the enemy, etc. Among the best songs are those which encourage piety through good deeds done for the sake of Allah.”

“It follows from what has preceded that the profession of music, singing, dancing and instrument making and selling are all forbidden. (*266) In an Islamic state such instruments may be seized (*267) from their owner and destroyed with recourse to indemnity.”

“It is the duty of a Muslim that he avoid listening to music and singing in so far as it is within his power and jurisdiction (e.g. in his home, office, car, etc.). As for what he hears from his neighbor's yard, or when he passes through the streets or markets, that is not a sin upon him, (*268) nor is it his responsibility to try to stop it unless he has the power and authority to do so. He may advise such unfortunates in a gentle, admonishing tome, using wisdom and good convincing arguments so that perchance they may see the light and fear Allah.”

8. Finally, why Muslims believe that Islam leaves no room for other religions; this shows that Islam itself, and not just some unpleasant version of it, is in principle opposed to freedom of religion.

http://www.islaam.com/Article.aspx?id=273

Unification of Religions
The Presidency of Islamic Research and Ifta - Riyadh
Under The General Supervision of the Grand Council of Scholars
Fatwa No: 19402, Dated 25 Muharram 1418H

Here is a sample from this fatwa:

“After comprehensive study the committee resolves the following:-

1. One of the fundamentals of Faith in Islam, which is known as an essential part of the religion and upon which all Muslims have agreed, is that there is no true religion on the earth except Islam, and that it is the Final religion which abrogated all previous religuions and creeds. Therefore, no other religion remains on earth by which Allah can be worshipped except Islam. Allah The Most High says, "And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers." [Al-Qur'an 3:85].

2. One of the fundamentals of faith in Islam is what Allah's Book (the Qur'an) is the last Book that was revealed by the Cherisher of the Worlds. It abrogated all the Books revealed by Allah before it, such as the Torah, the Psalms, and the Bible, and as such no other Book has been left by which Allah can be worshipped except the Qur'an. Allah, The Most High, says, "And We have sent down to you (O Muhammad) the Book (the Qur'an) in truth, confirming the Scriptures that came before it, and trustworthy in highness and a witness over it (old scriptures). So judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and follow not their vain desires." [Al-Qur'an] 5:48]

3. It is our belief that both the Torah and the Bible were abrogated by the Qur'an, and that they were changed by means of additions or deletions by their followers. This was indicated in some verses in Allah's Book - the Noble Qur'an. Allah, The Most High, says in His Qur'an, "So because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard. They change the words from their (right) places and have abandoned a good part of the Message that was sent to them. And you will not cease to discover deceit in them, except a few of them." [Al-Qur'an 5:13]

“5. One of the fundamentals of Islam is that any Jew or Christian who does not embrace Islam should be considered and designated as an unbeliever (Kafir) as well as an enemy of Allah, of His Messengers and the Believers (Muminoon), and such people will be the people of the Fire in accordance to Allah's Saying, that, "Those who disbelieve from among the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) and among al-Mushrikun (Polytheists), were not going to leave (their disbelief) until there came to them clear evidence." [Al-Qur'an 98:1]

“And Allah says, "Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Qur'an, and the Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu 'alaihi wa sallam)) from among the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) and al-Mushrikun (Polytheists) will abide in the Fire of [Heck]. They are the worst of creatures." [Al-Quran 98:6]

As I've said in comments on a number of columns, I am convinced that we are in an early phase of what will become a global war between Islam and the West. The distinction people like to draw between an allegedly "moderate" Islamic majority and a minority of whack-jobs doesn't work. This is because the Muslim man or woman who is willing and able to kill and die for the faith is regarded by those "moderate" Muslims as exemplary. As a student of political philosophy, I like to use a concept from Machiavelli: "effectual truth." The "effectual truth" of something is not the whole or objective truth; it is rather some part or aspect of that truth that is visible and works out in the world. Jihadism is the "effectual truth" of Islam. It is how Islam appears in and to the world of non-Muslims--what Muslims call the Dar-al-Harb, the "House of War." An individual Muslim may not choose to be a jihadi, but he will admire those who can, and that makes the "moderate" Muslim a serious threat when the chips are down

I'll say it again
When it came time to step up, when it came time to 'fish or cut bait', the Pope caved and now is running around trying to get the same people who want us all dead...trying to get them to come to his summer digs for a talk. Mouthing Bushwellian platitudes about the 'honorable and peaceful religion' of islam. That's caving, in my book.

Muslims are children of the Devil
cliffhanger writes:
Muslims are children of the Devil

Muslims are as you and I children of God. They have been led astray by Satan's lies, contained in the un-holy Koran, and the followers of the evil one, who call themselves Ayatollah and Imam.

islamo-fascist is redundant.
Amil:
your post is spot on! including the paragraph corporatism.

Wikipedia:
Historically, corporatism or corporativism (Italian corporativismo) is a political system in which legislative power is given to civic assemblies that represent economic, industrial, agrarian, and professional groups. Unlike pluralism, in which many groups must compete for control of the state, in corporatism, certain unelected bodies take a critical role in the decision-making process. These corporatist assemblies are not the same as contemporary business corporations or incorporated groups.

Islam fits the definition of fascism so perfectly that the term "islamo-faschist" is a redundantcy.

Me shut up?
Nope. Not me.

Ever notice how it's the ignorant, the abjectly poor, the illiterate, who most often are used -- and I mean used -- as "martyrs"?

Have you known of a Muslim big-shot (oxymoron?) strapping on a bomb and blowing up a wedding party? Wildly burning effigies of the Pope wherever the thugs gather? Speaking out in righteous outrage over using children as human bombs?

No, no. The big-shots are the ones keeping ignorance and illiteracy at the correct level so that proper brainwashing can occur and innocent lives lost for nothing more than having a different belief system.

Stir them up -- the ignorant, illiterate ones -- so they will know in their stony little hearts that the reason for their lowly lot in life lies in the people of the West. If only it were not for those people (of the Western civilization), then the ignorant illiterates would have a wonderful life. Doing what? What fun would it be without the purpose of beheading as many kidnapped journalists, murdering nuns, and threatening the Pope?

As long as illiteracy and ignorance are the norm for these savages, we will have bloodshed.

Shut up? No, no. We need the truth spoken loudly and clearly enough that the world can hear us. Sometimes bunker-busters speak in such a way.

Townhall bloggers and commenters are pretty good at it, too. Like SharpsRifle and many others.

Lydia writes:
"The president's advocacy of continued Muslim immigration gives me the impression he is mentally unstable or profoundly ignorant."

Lydia, Michael Savage says that liberalism is a mental illness. GW has been infected with it, as well as whatever he "caught" from the ignorant masses.

So you too are "spot on" ! We're screwed.

Now let's all kick to buy recliners for the terrorists we capture so we can keep McCain, Graham, and Warner happy as the rest of us die.

Jerseygirl writes:
"Why bother? This country is doomed, anyway. No need to get excited about it.

As long as we have leaders (and citizens) who don't think our heritage is worth protecting, then there's nothing left to fight for."

No reason for me to read any other posts because Jerseygirl is spot on ! I've felt that way for a couple of years now. I realize there's a reason for the term "ignorant masses" but America's citizens' has taken it to a new level.

Dear Muslims: What is It that You Don’t
Dear Muslims: What is It that You Don’t Understand?

We, the non-Muslims—the infidels, heathens, unbelievers, apostates, enemies of Allah, najis (soiled), as you prefer to call us—would like to know what is it that you don’t understand and what it is that makes you behave so badly toward us? You blame us for your problems and believe if we embrace Islam and help establish the Islamic Ummeh the earth would be cleansed of us, transformed to paradise, and all your problems disappear.

Respectfully, we disagree. We believe that you and your system of belief are at the core of your problems; that you need to critically examine the facts rather than conveniently blame others for your ills. Keep in mind that beliefs and ideas make people human, that beliefs are roadmaps of life. To the extent that the roadmap is rational and enlightened, the path of life is illumined, pitfalls are avoided and obstacles are removed. The terrain of life has greatly changed since the roadmap of Islam was given to the wondering primitives of the Arabian Peninsula.

The twenty first century presents great challenges and opportunities that demand new ways of thinking and behaving. The doctrine of Islam may have been appropriate for the desert dwellers of some 1400 years ago, the people you yourselves stigmatize as “The Ignorant.” It is dysfunctional today to say the least. As a matter of fact, Islam went astray from the very beginning and inflicted a great deal of suffering on both its followers as well as those who resisted its advance.

Muslims are children of the Devil
Some say reason with them, impossible, they have to be able to understand. Some are telling us to shut up, only when I am dead, some are telling us they don't understand the Pres in his additude, I believe he is still in political correctness, because he wants a one world government. Do away with our constitution and everyone under the UN. I also have my ammo soaking in pigs blood for the Muslimfasciasts if they are interested in trying to convwert me.

SharpsRifle
You are speaking the truth that the Western elites fear.

Wanted - Politically Correct Pope
I was not raised a Christian (I was raised as Sikh) but I know one thing - this craze for political correctness has gone too far. We want to fight terrorism but we seem to be telling our religious leaders to fear Muslim anger. Who will ever dare speak the truth; if not the men we call “Holy Father”. How much more diplomatic a Holy Father can be? He was diplomatic enough by quoting the medieval Emperor and not himself. He was implying that the Emperor’s question is “the question” in today’s geo-political environment where spreading fear has become the tool of the terrorists to preach Islam. Do we need to be reminded that only a few days before Pope’s speech Adam Gadan’s tape hit the airways trying to scare Americans to convert to Islam?

Did any Islamic theologian, Mullah , Imam, Ayatollah or Grand Ayatollah had courage to counter these fear mongers like Adam Gadan who are preaching and coercing conversion to Islam as Un-Islamic. Seems like the so called moderate Muslims gave their tacit support to this kind of coercions to Islam.

True to his desire the Pope opened a front for dialogue by not stating his own opinion but through somebody else’s direct but relevant question. Will anybody answer the question? Are there any moderates out there who will answer the question? No, they’d rather get angry and burn Pope’s effigy and demand that either he convert to Islam or face beheading.

Are these angry Muslims proving the point that the emperor was trying to make through his question?

They want Pope to apologize. Apologize for what? Apologize that he gave Muslim world a chance to clarify to the whole world that Islam does not approve of violence as means to coerce people to their faith.

Pope even gave them an opening by suggesting faith comes through soul and soul can not be forced, it can only be reasoned with. Thus reason and faith go hand in hand. If we are all a creation of One God as Islam professes and our soul is the seat for His spirit (Conscious) then His spirit can only be absorbed in one’s soul through reason which gives birth to faith. Force will only scare one to a blind faith under the threat of physically terminating one’s body in which soul resides. It is this blind faith that produces fanaticism for the soul never had a chance to absorb the Spirit. These fear monger terrorists are fanatics of Islam. President Bush is right that we are at war with Islam-a-fascist.

Prophet Mohammad was so conscious of the fact that faith has to come from one’s soul that the story goes that the prophet asked his followers to pray to Allah (God) three times a day and meditate on His name. He himself set an example of meditating all the time on the beads of rosary. When his followers complained that three times takes too much time out of the day, he was angry and commanded them to pray five times a day.

Here in lies the contradictions who say Prophet Mohammad approved of using force to convert non believers to Islam. How can a Prophet who commands his followers to pray five times and meditate on His name to bring the spirit of God in the soul of his followers will approve the murder of other souls that belong to the same God but chose to bring His spirit through some other rationale or by meditating on His name but named Him something other than Allah.

It is my opinion, that Prophet Mohammad approved use of force only in self defense as he was forced out of his lands for his beliefs and he fought back against this oppression. It is hard to believe that a holy warrior who used a sword to fight oppression will turn around and use the same sword to oppress others who chose not to follow him. How ironical, today the rulers of the same land (Saudi Arabia), who are his ardent followers, oppress the practice of any other religion outside the confines of one’s home and its people are leading the terror networks of the world.

As it happened to all the religions at some point in their history fanatics i.e. the men blind from their true faith interpret the religion, scripts and sayings in the context that suit their motives and geo-political needs to recruit support of masses. Islam had been and is being used for such motives. Jihad and Holy wars meant for the fight against oppression are now tools of propaganda to recruit fighters that die for their blind faith in the name of Allah. There sacrifice is pure manipulation of their leaders who bask in the glory of egocentric populism as Holy warriors. In this glory they forget that they are murdering the Creator’s creation simply because that creation chose different path then theirs to connect with the Creator.

However, the question still is why there is no such explanation from the followers of the faith? Instead angry rants and demand for apology. The pope offered a chance and gave the Muslim leaders a platform of world’s media. Instead, the followers of the faith succeeded in reinforcing the implied answer from the rhetorical question of the Emperor.

It is sad that the Pope is being asked to apologize for trying to open a dialogue so all faiths could find a common ground in the spirituality of all religions to fight terrorism of people with blind faith whose soul is starved of the Higher Conscious or the Spirit of our Higher Powers i.e. God. These men pray to the Allah and act in the name of Allah and yet do not recognize Allah’s creation as they murder his creation by killing others. God created lands for all humanity to live and did not reserve land for one faith or another. We must learn to live together and dialogue is the first step in this process. The Pope need not apologize in trying to have one.

There are all kinds people. For you calling me a Dem, is like me calling you an Islamic fascist. We can't please everyone, not even our own mothers 100%. I suggest that you read all of my articles at my website before calling others epithets.

This "corporatism" thing seems to have got feather ruffled. I believe the problem is what each side means by the term and what it represents. That's the problem with numberless words and terms. A given word may have numerous meaning, some even completely unlike the others--in the same dictionary. Give you one example. The word "Intercourse," is interpreted by most people as a sexual activity while another completely legitimate meaning of the term is "conversation," or "dialogue."

"When most people hear the word "fascism" they naturally think of its ugly racism and anti-Semitism as practiced by the totalitarian regimes of Mussolini and Hitler. But there was also an economic policy component of fascism, known in Europe during the 1920s and '30s as "corporatism," that was an essential ingredient of economic totalitarianism as practiced by Mussolini and Hitler. So- called corporatism was adopted in Italy and Germany during the 1930s and was held up as a "model" by quite a few intellectuals and policy makers in the United States and Europe. A version of economic fascism was in fact adopted in the United States in the 1930s and survives to this day. In the United States these policies were not called "fascism" but "planned capitalism." The word fascism may no longer be politically acceptable, but its synonym "industrial policy" is as popular as ever" by Thomas J. DiLorenzo

PS. To avoid the confusion, I have taken that paragraph out.

The time has come....
to finally expunge the filth of Islam from the face of this Earth.

Any alleged religion which sanctions lying (taqqiya), subjugation of those who don't accept it (dhimmitude), and death for those who speak against it is inherantly barbaric and contrary to civilization. It's time for the United States to grow some balls and finally tell the Mu-slum world to either cut the crap and be decent, or we'll give you a physics lesson you'll never forget.

And just to prove our point, we should incinerate Mecca with a 10 MT device at the height of the Haj. Air blast at 15,000 feet....right over the Qaaba. Take out a few million barbarians, and then simply ask "Who's next?"

Sure, the UN will rant and rave, and Madman Ahmadinejad in Terror-an will bluster....Hugo Chavez will throw a fit, and Danny Glover will go on another hunger strike.....and, if we're lucky, that peabrain Harry Belafonte may go on NPR and blather a bit, but deep down inside, the rest of the world will be THANKING US because WE, not the UN, NOT the diplomats, NOT the EU, and none of the rest of the impotent appeasers and dhimmis will have shown the Muslimes that they aren't all powerful and that their Satan worshipping cult won't take the world without a fight.

And just for good measure, Riyadh, Islamabad, Terror-an, Medina, Jeddah, Khartoum, whatever city al-Sleezera is based in and Tripoli should also get turned into glass!

We have enough nuclear weapons in the inventory to do a number on the heathens.....and for the sake of civilization, we should do it! And then let the rest of the world bluster and rage while they're silently thanking the real God that the US saved their worthless hides YET AGAIN!!!

THAT ABOUT SAYS IT ALL, DON'T IT?
I think them moderate C.A.I.R.E. people really want us to know how much they care.

Why, these good folks couldn't put it any clearer. All we Western infidels have to do to avoid the wrath of Islam's Shariah Law is to just zip our lips, and get our mouths off Mohammod.

I know we need to seriously consider this obvious assult to free speech as we have known it. However, if we do all agree to "shut up" then I vote for Lokietek to have the last word.

Anyway, I'm married, so I know what it means to have to shut up to keep the peace.

Besides, I'm pretty good at "12 guage sign language". [Hey Lazlo, where'd you say you buy your ammo?]

Are you listening how I care; C.A.I.R.E.?

Self defense
To all those posting that Americans and Christians should shut up, chill out, be respectful, etc., the rest of us would have you know that this all got started as a matter of self defense. We are a people that are slow to wrath, but (I was going to write, God help you) but even that would be a waste of time)... but when we are given over to wrath for self defense reasons we go on the OFFENIVE.
Our leaders will follow us, eventually, which is as it should be.
The thing is that in real Americans there is an almost instictive knowing that our rights are given to us by our God and it is for those precious rights that we will fight and not shut up, chill out or cave.
To those saying the Pope caved: My read of his apology was that he was only apologizing for the anger he stirred up in the Muslim world. That is especially notable for what he did not say; namely that he did NOT apologize for what he said nor for the obvious slam against Islam of the ones he quoted from the 13th century.
The Pope did NOT cave. He issued a veiled insult to Islam, a challenge to them to dispell the reason for the insult and consequently an apology for pissing them off, but never, not once did he back off his main theme.
There is a Biblical passage something along the lines of... do I make you an enemy because I speak the truth?... I think that the pope was applying this in his apology.

You shut up
To the protesters, you shut up, We are sick and tired of hearing about Muhammad, Islam and the 12 Imam. We are not the Devils of the world. Nor is this country the decadent country you claim that we are. Our foreign policies are not responisble for your acts of terrorism. You kill whoever and whenever you want to because your thirst for blood is stronger then practicing your religion without the death and destruction. Your religion has no chances of progressing any further then the next protest. Just shut up. What is that. Why should the whole world censor themselves because some nuts have hijacked a religion and not one Muslim is strong enough to do anything about it. Instead they want to uphold the honor of Islam by going after a cartoon and a quote by the Pope. When Ahmadinejad gives one of his long winded speeches at the United Nations thats the time for someone to just shut up. If just shut up is the answer to Muslims staying calm and not protesting and killing anyone, then we have to look at all Muslims the same as we do terrorists. Whats next after just shut up. What if the Muslims started protesting about something else because they wised up and saw how effective just shut up worked. Pretty soon every thing we do will have to meet the approval of the Muslims because their too sensitive about anyone living in the same world as they do. If Muslims who don't protest can understand the anger of the ones protesting and killing, then Islam is not a religion of peace that we are told that it is.

A few days ago in a Post
I opined it was time for the Pope to step up as leader of the largest Christain denomination and, as have Popes in the past when threatned by this evil enemy of Christainity, declare a Christain Crusade to save Christainity and the world from this scourge.
I also said the Pope could either do this or fold like a used accordian and spend his time mouthing Bushwellian platitudes like, "Islam is an honorable and peaceful religion".

It looks like he has caved.

we own guns here
Something the muslims haven't figured out yet is that individuals own guns here in America. When Bush's brokered terrorist immigration from Saudi Arabia begin rioting here, I say shoot them. It is an invasion and they mean to take over, shoot them in the streets like the dogs they are.

I'm going to go look for some t.p. with the Koran printed on it now.

It seems almost funny that
America has free speech which allows some to profane Christianity. But wants to limit it so no one may profane Islam.

That pictures of the Arab/Moslim street showing barbaric people doing barbaric things should intimidate Americans NOT to do WHATEVER set them off THIS/NEXT/LAST TIME.

That leaders can be cowed and submit so easily when it is clear the PEOPLE don't want and never will submit.

And that's what you gotta watch out for scumsuckers... the people! We will play by the rules.. as long as we can. But, when in the course of human events it becomes...

Is Islamic Fascism a Slur?
Is Islamic Fascism a Slur?

By: Amil Imani

Last August, President George W. Bush used the term “Islamic Fascism” in a speech. In no time at all, the Bush-bashers, Islamic propaganda organizations and the rabid left unleashed a campaign of assault on the President for insulting the Muslims and sullying the sanctified religion of Islam by linking its name with fascism.

Opportunistic Democrats were just too happy to lead the attack on the President. An aspirant for presidency, to the left of the left Democratic Senator from Wisconsin Russ Feingold was so indignant by this “horrific” slander of the President smearing the stainless name of Islam that he found it his solemn duty to write a letter to the President lecturing him on his unacceptable use of the terms.

Did the President indeed slander Islam, or people like Feingold are Bush-bashers who for their own reasons would never miss an opportunity to berate President Bush as well as those who support him? Let the facts decides.

“Fascism is a radical political ideology that combines elements of corporatism, authoritarianism, nationalism, militarism, anti-anarchism, anti-communism and anti-liberalism.” -- Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia

Let us examine each characteristic of fascism, one at a time, and see if the President was justified or did he indeed misspeak.

Radical: Islam is so radical that even the term “radical” does not adequately depict its true character. The founder of Islam, Muhammad, behaved in extreme ways whenever he could. Early on, in Mecca, among his tribe of Quraysh, he was ridiculed as a Crazed Poet. Ordinary residents of Mecca scorned him in their habitual way of treating the mentally deranged. What did Muhammad do? He personified meekness itself. He put up with extreme indignities, did not fight back and suffered abuses.

Time was on Muhammad’s side. Before long, he attracted followers, some of whom such as Omar, Osman and Abu Bakr, were men of power and influence. Then the pendulum swung. The long-suffering meek became the tyrannical avenger. He ordered all the idols in the idolatry of Mecca destroyed, including the one called Allah. Yet, he selected the same name for a non-corporeal deity who commissioned him as his messenger. Then Allah’s messenger Muhammad set out to systematically exterminate people he perceived as his tormentors and enemies—Jews of Medina, among others.

As for teachings of Islam, “radical” is the most fitting term. The Quran is full of black and white, right and wrong, acceptable and unacceptable. Men who didn’t convert to Islam were labeled infidels and slaughtered; their women and children were taken along with all their belongings as booty. It was either Islam’s-way or the high way. This radicalism is very much in action today.

Political Ideology: Islam is and has always been political, in the form of Imamate, Caliphate or by proxy where Islam through religious divines controlled the state. Saudi Arabia, for instance, does not even have a constitution. The Quran is the constitution. The country has a king. Yet, the king is the supreme enforcer of the laws dictated by Islam.

In another Islamic country, Iran, where the mullahs rule, the constitution is squarely based on the Quran. Many laws are strictly drawn from the Shariah. The mosque is the state and no other competing political ideology is permitted.

Corporatism: The individual’s very limited rights are subservient to that of the collective. Religious dictates over-rule the exercise and expression of individualism.

Authoritarianism: Islam is theocracy, the rule of the clerics. The authoritarianism runs from the top to the bottom in a strict hierarchy with Allah at the top, to his Prophet, to the Caliphs or the Imams, to the lesser men of cloth along the chain of command. No one is allowed to contest or dispute the word and actions of the authorities. Islam and democracy, therefore, are inherently irreconcilable. In some Islamic circles Muslims speak of Islamic Democracy—an oxymoron.

Nationalism: To Islam there is only one world-wide nation, the Islamic Ummeh. To Islam the earth is Allah’s, political boundaries are arbitrary and there is only one legitimate nation—the nation of Islam. The idea of one world, one nation, is not new with Islam. A number of secular rules, rulers and movements had aimed for the same objective. Alexander the Great, for instance, strived toward this goal, so did Communism, and the World Federalists still hold the vision of world unification.

Militarism: Jihadists are the army of Allah. The use of violence as instrument of policy has been and continues to be central to Islam. Muslims war under the firmly-believed and widely-cherished set of ideas that are rabidly militaristic. “No matter which side is killed, Islam is the victor,” “You kill them, you go to paradise, you get killed, you go to paradise,” are two examples of exhortation to jihadism and war.

Anti-anarchism: Islam does not even tolerate the basic rudiments of liberty. Anarchism can be considered as liberty gone amuck. So, Islam is anti-anarchist as a matter of course. Furthermore, the very name of Islam means “submission.” And anarchism is 180 degrees from submission—Islam is the rule of the absolute—anarchism is the rule of no rules.

Anti-communism: Islam is based on the belief in a supreme being, Allah. This fundamental precept makes it incompatible with any materialistic philosophy, including communism. Islam, furthermore, places great importance on the rewards and punishment of the next life and denigrates the value of material existence—ideals disharmonious with the main tenets of materialistic Communism.

Anti-liberalism: Islam contends that it has the perfect divine prescription of life, brought to mankind as its eternal charter. Hence, human interventions and inventions are not only unacceptable; they are detrimental to the implementation of the perfect edicts. Liberal ideas trigger change. To Islam, any change from the perfect design of Allah, necessarily is in error and must not be allowed.

Islam fully meets each of the nine distinctive features of fascism. “If the shoe fits, wear it,” as the saying goes. Islam is fascist. Muslims and their apologists are guilty of denial and dishonesty. They have no ground at all for objecting to the contention that Islam is fascism. President George W. Bush did not misspeak.

If Muslims find fascism repugnant, then they should reconsider being Muslims.

Pistol
Pistol

9/11 was a horrific event and it brought devastation in the lives of thousands of people effected by it, but what all is going on after that in the name of this act of terror is horrendous.

The afflictions felt by US on 9/11 were so painstaking that US cried and plead to the world to join; ‘either you are with us or with them’? Every country, big and small, for the honour and declared cause, of the only super power in the world came forward and came aboard.
Now having found America a defaulter on the given cause, almost all the staunch allies have abandoned the US plate form, except a few!

They found, it to be a false cry for the wolf and pursuing our Imperialist designs?

Look what all we have lost: our dignity, our honour, respect. What all was ever earned by US ancestors!

what all is moving, under the surface, deep down is worth digging too. Thousand and thousand of peoples are being killed, including Americans. Lives of million is being made miserable in the name of probe and investigation of the perpetrators of 9/11 and false and phoney war on terror.

Are we justified to carry out such exercise of a rampage to kill and make the lives of many millions, miserable?

Every one of us has very short span of life allotted by God.
WE should stop and check our positions.

American, Asian, Europeans or Africans, we should all work for;

One God, our creator and our sustainer only.

Resist formation of our compartments among us on the bases of religion, creed or race or knowledge amassed, to confine and isolate our selves.

Make an earnest effort, without any reservation to propagate truth.

Always be ready to sacrifice to attain peace and raise the voice for the wellbeing of the Humanity.

WE can restore with;
Love for all, Hatred for none

To Khokar
What happened to " Love of All ..Hatred of None" that you were spewing a few days ago? I see you are still here enjoying our FREEDOMS! Rant on...

Divine revelations...
Moe-hammed was also epileptic - his "divine revelations" were his babblings when he was "coming out of" seizures.

Were the pope the "holy father" that the Roman church claims him to be, he wouldn't be appolgising for his comments as, were he holy, his words would be infallible. Thus, not only did the reactions of Muslims prove his statements correct, but his responses to their reactions proved he isn't holy as claimed - otherwise no appolgy would have been needed.

Stay the Course
To paraphrase a line from the Old Bard:"...methinks they doest protest too much.." The problem is there is no difference between moderate and extremist Islamics. The Islam of Mohammmed teaches the practice of violence to convert period. No questions asked, no quarter given, none taken.
Now how do we answer them? Do we use the method called for by many:"Nuke all of them till they glow and let God sort them out"? But if we do that, then arent we as guilty of the same type of fanatacism as they are?? And how do we answer the Almighty on the Day of Judgement? Can we explain our actions by saying, "Well, hey God, they started it"?
But then again we cant cower and hide in a corner. Islam is at its game right now. They see a chance to take over the world. We allowed them to believe they can. They have become arrogant in their belief that they can take over. This is their Achilles heel.
Our best method to deal with them is not to back away from the truth. Call them fanatics. Expose the violent teachings of Mohammed. Let them rant and rave. Let them burn and riot. Track down those that kill our clergy. These things we can do and keep in the framework of our Christian faith and the teachings of Christ. Answering violence with violence, fanatasism with fanatasism, is not the answer. Thats the Islamic way. It is time we showed the world the Christian way.

Get Serious.
There are no Islamic "moderates." We need to immediately treat those of the Islamic world as they would treat us if they had our power. Nuke Medinah and Meccah to get rid of their "holy" cities that are and have been the center of Islamic evil for 1,400 years. Our government needs to destroy every mosque and madrassa that it can find and execute with out trial or delay every mullah, jihadi, and Islamic cleric that is encountered by our troops and agents. Read Islam's own histories of their so-called prophet, Muhammad. He was a rapist, mass murderer, slave trader, slave owner, pillager, thief, and liar. Moslems are told to follow the example of their prophet and have been doing so for over 1,000 year. Islam has brought death, horror, and degradation to scores of millions of innocent people over the course of centuries. Unlike the courageous Crusader of the Middle Ages, we now have the power to put an end to the evil scourge of Islam and we should do so or Western Civilization is doomed.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
In the last Indiana Jones movie, Indy and a member of the Rosicrucians (The Brotherhood of the Cruciform Sword) are headed for death, and when Indiana Jones points this out to the guy he considers The Enemy, he receives the answer, "My soul is prepared. How's yours?"

I've never heard a better answer and it will be my answer when they come for me.

One More Point
The sand-people (and you what I want to call them!), as crazy as they are have no idea how crazy Americans can be when we are really ticked off. We can be far crazier than them, and with our power, that's very dangerous. If you think the greatest generation was a sleeping giant, just let them start hacking heads off or blowing themselves up in the homeland.

Oh yeah, we can be crazier:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e0/Nagasakibomb.jpg
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b7/Atomic_cloud_over_Hiroshima.jpg

And with our kill ratios in battle, and our population, the entire united muslim world doesn't stand a chance if they keep pushing us. It's getting to the point that I almost want them to.

Carthagio delenda est.

As proof
I cite what happened down there when they tried to take their slaves away, and their all-white water fountains. Just wait and see what the rednecks have in store for the people that take away their freedom of speech.

Yay
If the South gets wind of this article it's not going to be pretty. Shariah pretenses down there will bring "kill the jawas" type thinking out very quickly.

Khokar
What is going on in your mind? You are here in a free country, talking about freedom of speech, action and reaction. Do you think about reactions to actions like the attacks on the USA? How long do you think Americans will dismss the actions of peoples who harm us. Right now many consider even 911 not worth the effort of noticing. If Islam should ever succeed in convincing Americans they are in danger the results will be horrific. Are you American? What is your opinion on the likely story of 911? Do you ever read anything? I have never seen you enter into an actual dialog.

Lydia.
I share your perception of what George Bush is saying/doing about Muslim AND illegal immigration. I don't think he is mentally unstable in the generally accepted understanding of the word..

If believing that you are one of a ruling class of people who really do control the world economy, and feel that you are perfectly within your rights to view human beings as insignificant to your wishes, mental instability may apply.

The problem is that we the people are being confronted with the realization that we really do not count. I don't know how to shake my feelings about this either.

There's a not-so-old saying
Don't know who said it first, but a seminary professor used it in a sermon I heard a decade or so ago. It goes like this:

The problem with most Christians today is ... nobody is trying to kill us.

Most American and European Christians have not faced death for our beliefs. We haven't counted the costs of faith and some of us who have now realize we're not willing to pay the price of our relationship with Christ. So, some of us are willing to shut up.

Some of us aren't. Some of us know that the last words of Christ say "Go to the world and tell everybody about Me -- starting with your nearest neighbors and headed out to the people who want to chop your heads off." God didn't give me the option to shut up and even if I don't particularly want to volunteer to have my head chopped off, I will obey my God before I obey my fear.

I'll stand in heaven with the high school girl at Colombine who, when given the option to deny Christ and live, said "I can't" and died with Christ's name on her lips.

Christians have already been dying in Malaysia for several years because when the Muslims give them the options they say "Christ or death" and we know the Muslims' answer to that.

We'd all like to believe that the secular war the US is fighting will save Christians from jihad, but ...

I doubt it! I think Christians in our nice safe European and American sanctuaries of safety need to recognize that God's calling us to arms. That does not mean I'm joining the US Army or that I am advocating any other Christian to do that. (That's between the individual Christian and his Savior). What I am saying is that we need to be praying, studying our Bibles and actually telling "Jerusalem" about Christ. That means I need to talk to my heavy-drinking, two-pack-a-day-smoking neighbor about my beliefs. It means Christians need to stop spouting off angrily about Muslim extremism on this site and start writing about what you believe, because this is Judea. It means some of us are going to risk our lives going to Islamic countries where preaching the Christian gospel is punishable by death and we're going to shout "JESUS."

A lot of Christians are going to face discomfort, embarrassment and ridicule. Some of us are going to feel like people think we're stupid or crazy. A few of us are going to die. If sufficient numbers of Christians get serious about what they believe, Islam will fall before the Sword of Word of God, the Bible. We don't have to fire a shot! God is that good. But only if His "army" is willing to march on their knees.

Wake up, church! Jihad is coming! It won't truly be won by secular armies. You can temporarily shut up a false god and its followers with military might, but only God can change their hearts.

So, church, are we willing to die to ourselves so that some portion of 1 billion nonbelievers can live in Christ!

Do anymore of us have to die for Christians to get serious about what we believe?

I digress
Help (fill in the blank) extremism, shut up

Oh, and I can't wait to see Rosie in a burka...

All my bullets..
Smell like Sausage.

The blessing of Islam
is simply that we may see a Christian revival in Europe! Old Europe has practiced the religion of secularism and materialism and is reaping the whirlwind of selfishness and decay.

But recently there is an upsurge of interest in religion in Germany. God may yet use Islam as He used other evil people in Old Testament times, which is to stir up His people to repentance.

We are never at the end of history, because there is a real being we call Satan, and when one of his vehicles (such as communism) runs out of gas, he has another one (islam) waiting in the wings. It is in the nature of this world that there is opposition to God and goodness, Satan being identified in scripture as the god of this world. We now have a fifty year cold war - maybe a lukewarm war - between us and Islam. If we win, we will see bibles spread across the world that is now islam.

If we lose . . . well, I don't want to think about that.

Jersey Girl
Excellent start to your declaration of faith! If I may respectfully add: Muhammed was a misogynistic, delusional pedophile!

Dhimmitude will arrive first
Dhimmitude, the status of being non-Muslim living in a Muslim state, will arrive and be in place before the West, in general, and the USA in particular realizes it. And we will not be living in a Muslim state...yet. France is already in dhimmitude, with Spain and Holland close behind. At no time, in the long history of western civ has anything like this been seen before: An invasion has already been in process for decades now, with Europe experiencing the real results of cheap labor, and the USA experiencing this on our southern borders; it is not necessary for dozens of divisions to pour over our borders, just people who have nothing in common with the values of our people.
Our civilization is slowly being swallowed up like an unfortunate deer sinking in quicksand. Our civilization is being led to perdition by the biggest bunch of stupid white men to ever infect a civilization.

Shut Up Call
Aiming at high jacking the on going war on terrorism and give it a Christianity vs Islam colour the old Second World War veteran fired his weapon of well thought speech, very skilfully and said what ever he planned to say about…Muhammad!

In return he is getting what ever the other side has got to through at him!

All actions have got equal and opposite reactions.

‘Miss advocacy’ of freedom of speech should, leave her ears free to listen to the ricochet also.

And not say at the end of every paragraph of the article…… Shut Up!

Devout
Are Muslims more devout that most Christians? Is that why they are willing to die for their religion. Oh, other than the extremists, they are NOT willing to die for their religion, they are merely willing to kill you on behalf of their religion. I think the Aztecs practiced this type of religion and everyone now calls them brutal. Hmmmmm....

Chirp
It says alot about any organization that can't stand up to examination, scrutiny or criticism.

To borrow and probably misquote one of the bard's lines, me thinks they dost protest too much.

Why bother?
This country is doomed, anyway. No need to get excited about it.

As long as we have leaders (and citizens) who don't think our heritage is worth protecting, then there's nothing left to fight for.

America. Freedom. It was too beautiful to live.

See you in the mosque.
If I'm not beheaded that is.

"Muhammad was a thief and a tyrant and a liar. The Koran is a bunch of rules for thieves and bandits.
On my hajj, I plan to spit on the Kaaba."

Do you think that's enough to convince Muslims that I'll never make a good one and should be done away with?

And NOW, for the reactions from
