Poll
Do you feel the leaked information from a global warming alarmist organization is meaningful?

Just in time for the one-year anniversary of 7/7, a poll conducted for The Times of London indicates that 13 percent of British Muslims believe that the four Islamic suicide bombers who murdered 52 people in London last July should be regarded as "martyrs."

With a Muslim population in Britain estimated at 1.6 million, this means that some 208,000 British Muslims regard these killers with what can only be described as a worshipful attitude. Which is despicable. But Mother England, it seems, is home to an awful lot of despicable people.

One of them, surely, is Anjem Choudary, who made related news this week. Choudary is a former leader of Al Mujahiroun -- a defunct, jihad-inciting group, whose venomous pronouncements on Islamic supremacy have earned him a strange prominence in the British media. He refuses to condemn the 7/7 attacks, says Muslims shouldn't help police combat jihad terror, and advocates sharia (Islamic law) for Britain. During a BBC "Newsnight" appearance this year, the host asked Choudary why he didn't simply move to a sharia state like Iran.

"Who says you own Britain, anyway?" Choudary replied. "Britain belongs to Allah. The whole world belongs to Allah. ... If I go to the jungle, I'm not going to live like the animals, I'm going to propagate a superior way of life. Islam is a superior way of life."

In a way, the 39-year-old Essex man was just found guilty of a charge connected to propagating that "superior way of life." It all started last February when Choudary organized a march on the Danish Embassy in London to protest Muhammad cartoons first published in a Danish newspaper. This wasn't one of those anti-Danish protests in which people were killed -- hundreds died around the Islamic world in this year's Days of Cartoon Rage -- but it was definitely murder-minded. "Behead Those Who Insult Islam," said one placard. "Slay Those Who Insult Islam," said another. "Kill Those Who Insult Islam," and (for variety) "Butcher Those Who Mock Islam," said others. Hundreds of demonstrators marched through London, praising the 7/7 killers, or calling for the murder of journalists who publish Mohammed cartoons.

And the police stood by.

More accurately, they made sure the protest went off smoothly, as the Times Online reported. "People who tried to snatch away (the placards) were held back by police," the newspaper said. "Several members of the public tackled senior police officers guarding the protesters, demanding to know why they allowed banners that praised the 'Magnificent 19' -- the terrorists who hijacked the aircrafts used on Sept. 11, 2001 -- and others threatening further attacks on London."

Why, indeed. The "Newsnight" show on which Choudary subsequently appeared included news footage of an English bobby vigorously silencing such a citizen, described as a van driver, who, according to the televised report, had angrily criticized the Muslim protesters. It is tragically enlightening.

"Listen to me, listen to me," said the policeman, shaking his finger at the van driver. "They have a right to protest. You let them do it. You say things like that you'll get them riled and I end up in (trouble). You say one more thing like that, mate, and you'll get yourself nicked (arrested) and I am not kidding you, d'you understand me?" Continued...

Well, that's why we have...
... the Second amendment in this country.

They have their way... and I have mine.

LOL

the same poll
I would love to see the same poll in the US, how many muslims think 9/11 was justified. Maybe then people here will want action.

Appeasement
To BrianR

If you need bail money, just give me a call, if I'm not in the can with you.

Amen for the 2nd Amendment
Brianr has it right. It may come down to it someday that the pandering only gets us killed. How do the same people that killed a lot of Brits get more freedom than the rest of them? And they get to spout their vile rants in public and the other guy gets reprimanded? Somehow the right and wrong is twisted around and the bad guy is suddenly good, and vice versa. If they were smart, they'd throw out all the islamic crazies that spew hatred and violence, and closely monitor the rest. Is that extreme? So what. They have proven they have a propensity for violence and no control over their actions if so riled. Send them back to Iran.

Any doubt
why the Islamists have picked this particular time in history to renew their quest for world domination?

With the West strangling itself in Political Correctness, how can they lose?

Brian, Old Coot and Dan: whose side will the government take? This is gonna get messy, before it's over.

Kuwull
I fear the gov't will try to find the "middle ground" and not annoy the enemy. The left wing peaceniks have so infiltrated the democratic party, that that's about the only message the media will print. The MSM will do its best to blame Bush for any attack and bend over backwards to show how peaceful Islam is. They will gladly dig their own grave; I just hope the rest of us will fight back instead of simply stepping into that hole.

Muslisms totally incompatible with USA
Bush has relocated thousands of "moderate Muslims" (as if there is such a thing) to America on the assumption that "we can all get along" when their religion demands intolerance and political & social structures incompatible with our Constitution. (Duh)

Obviously he doesn't understand the Koran or fascism & how it works or he's evil.

Worst President ever waging war directly against the Constitution and American people.

He should be prosecuted for treason for his criminal immigration policies along with the rest of the bi-partisan invasion inviting whores.

Dan
That's why we must first defeat the enemy within, if we're to stand a chance of defeating Islam.

Count me in the fight.

Right is wrong - Wrong is right
Personally, I'm glad I will probably die soon. I don't know how much more of this I can take. I'm VERY VERY glad my Father is not around to see the state of North American society. The one he fought for. The generation that fought WW2, (thank goodness, we didn't have to fight it with today's gobbly-gook PC philosophy!), had a code of right and wrong. They would be very confused to be told they were all wrong!

If Osama Bin Laden was captured tomorrow and stood up and made one of his speeches admitting to masterminding 9/11, and freely admitting to planning more 9/11s and 7/7s, I am sure, there would be very loud voices from the left wanting him treated well.

I found it very enlightening on the anniversery of D-Day, when I watched a CNN special on the invasion of Normandy. CNN was of the opinion that these men were HEROES! One and all.

The next segment on CNN was a disgusting piece, condeming our current military men calling them every name CNN could think of that was bad.

In their way, the current military is fighting a harder war then our fathers. Our fathers, at least, for the most part, had the enemy standing in front of them. It was simpler. Kill or be killed. And, for the most part had the support of their government and the people at home.

Today's kids have no idea where death might come from. The 12-year-old kid? The mother pushing the baby carriage? And what do they see on T.V.? What do they come home to? Scorn and ridicule. And being called criminals.

Gee, talk about right and wrong being upside down!
