Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

The importance of the summit meeting in Moscow between President Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev pales in comparison to the events taking place in Honduras.

Whether or not the United States and Russia reduce their nuclear arsenals is ultimately meaningless. But whether Hugo Chavez and Raul Castro are victorious in Honduras or whether the movement toward left-wing authoritarianism is finally defeated in a Latin American country is extremely significant.

The courage of the pro-liberty forces in Honduras is almost miraculous. It is almost too good to be true, given Honduras' consequent isolation in the world.

Even if you know little or nothing about the crisis in Honduras, nearly all you need to know in order to ascertain which side is morally right is this: Venezuela's Hugo Chavez, Nicaragua's Daniel Ortega, Cuba's Castro brothers, the United Nations, and the Organization of American States are all lined up against Honduras.

And what troubles these good people? They claim that there was a military coup in Honduras that renders the present government illegal.

Here, in brief, are the facts. You decide.

The president of Honduras, Jose Manuel Zelaya, a protege of Hugo Chavez, decided that he wanted to be able to be president for more than his one term that ends this coming January -- perhaps for life. However, because the histories of Honduras and Latin America are replete with authoritarians and dictators, Honduras's constitution absolutely forbids anyone from governing that country for more than one term.

So, Zelaya decided to follow Chavez's example and find a way to change his country's constitution. He decided to do this on his own through a referendum, without the congressional authorization demanded by Honduras's constitution. He even had the ballots printed in Venezuela.

As Mary Anastasia O'Grady, who writes The Americas column in the Wall Street Journal, explains: "A constituent assembly can only be called through a national referendum approved by its Congress. But Mr. Zelaya declared the vote on his own and had Mr. Chavez ship him the necessary ballots from Venezuela."

The Honduras Supreme Court ruled Zelaya's nonbinding referendum unconstitutional, and then instructed the military not to implement the vote as it normally does. When the head of the armed forces obeyed the legal authority, the Honduran Supreme Court, rather than President Zelaya, the president fired him and personally led a mob to storm the military base where the Venezuela-made ballots were being safeguarded.

As Jorge Hernandez Alcerro, former Honduran ambassador to the United States, wrote, "Mr. Zelaya and small segments of the population tried to write a new constitution, change the democratic system and seek his re-election, which is prohibited by the constitution."

In order to stop this attempt to subvert the Honduran constitution, while keeping Honduras under the rule of law and preventing a Chavez-like dictatorship from developing in its country, the Honduran Supreme Court ordered the military to arrest Zelaya. They did so and expelled him to neighboring Costa Rica to prevent certain violence.

Was this a "military coup" as we understand the term? Columnist Mona Charen answered this best: "There was an attempted coup in Honduras, but it was Zelaya who initiated it, not his opponents."

Or, to put in another way: When did a military coup ever take place that was ordered by that country's supreme court, that was supported by the political party of the president who was overthrown, in which not one person was injured, let alone killed, and which replaced the ousted the president with the president of the country's congress, a member of the same party as the ousted president?

But none of this matters to the United Nations, which never met a left-wing tyrant it didn't find appealing. That is why the president of the U.N. General Assembly, a former Sandinista foreign minister, Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann, accompanied Zelaya in the airplane on Zelaya's first attempt to return to Honduras on July 5. (Brockmann, among his other radical moral positions, is so virulently anti-Israel that the Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations threatened not to attend the U.N. Holocaust Memorial Day event if Brockmann showed up.)

And none of this matters to the OAS, which just lifted its ban on Cuba's membership and which says nothing about Chavez's shutting down of Venezuela's opposition radio and television stations.

And none of this matters to the world's left-wing media. Thus, on July 1, a writer for the United Kingdom newspaper The Guardian penned this insight: "There is no excuse for this coup. … The battle between Zelaya and his opponents pits a reform president who is supported by labor unions and social organizations against a Mafia-like, drug-ridden, corrupt political elite." To the Guardian writer, Zelaya was a "reform president." Lenin's useful idiots never die out.

And the Los Angeles Times editorial page wrote: "Even though the Honduran Congress and military may believe they are defending the country against a would-be dictator, the ends don't justify the means."

Quite a great deal of foolishness in one sentence. That the Los Angeles Times does not believe that Zelaya is a would-be dictator is mind-numbing. As for the cliche that "the ends don't justify the means," in fact they quite often do. That is one of the ways in which we measure means. One assumes that while the Los Angeles Times believes that Americans should be law-abiding, it agrees with Rosa Parks having broken the law. The ends (fighting segregation) justified the means (breaking the law).

If Honduras is hung out to dry, if America suspends trade and economic aid, the forces arrayed against liberty in Latin America will have won a major victory. On the other hand, if Honduras is not abandoned now, those Iran-supporting, America-hating, liberty-loathing forces will have suffered a major defeat.

Even members of the Obama administration recognize this. As quoted in the Washington Post, Jeffrey Davidow, a retired U.S. ambassador who served as President Obama's special adviser for the recent Summit of the Americas, said:

"The threats against democracy in Latin America … are not those coming from military coups, but rather from governments which are ignoring checks and balances, overriding other elements of government."

Let your representatives in Congress know that America needs to stand with liberty, not with Castro, Ortega, Zelaya, Chavez, the OAS, and the U.N. And buy Honduran goods. I am smoking a terrific Honduran cigar as I write these words: God bless Honduras.

So much
So much indignation and attention spilled on to silly Honduran politics by American politicians and scriviners.

What has Honduras given America, except illegal immigrants?

Congratulations, Hondurans!
Excellent article, Dennis Prager!

Hondurans deserve to be thanked and congratulated for their wisdom and courage! Many of us wish we could have done what they are doing before the Marxist thugs working for Castro and Chavez enslaved our countries.

We pray Hondurans are able to defend themselves from Zelaya, Castro, Chavez, Obama, Insulza and the rest of the Marxists who seek to enslave Hondurans. Hondurans have CRIED FOR FREEDOM and all honest and informed Americans all Latin Americans are inspired by their courage!

We all want to free ourselves from Castro, Chavez and the rest of the Marxist thugs who are destroying Latin America – Ortega, Morales, Correa, etc. In the U.S., we want to defend ourselves from Obama, another Marxist seeking to destroy the U.S.

Many of us have suffered under those Marxist thugs, who get elected through lies, manipulation, intimidation and fraud, promising to “help the poor” and with CHANGE and YES WE CAN slogans. Chavez, FARC and possibly Iran pay for overwhelming media propaganda on their behalf.

Once elected, they proceed to destroy the country’s economy and institutions, take over the Legislative and Judicial branches, change the constitution, get complete control and do as they please with the country and the people. Just like Castro in Cuba. The people, poorer than ever, manipulated and intimidated, can’t defend themselves.

Zelaya was about to take over the Legislative and Judicial branches, when the Supreme Court, considering Zelaya’s crimes and ties with Chavez, ordered that he be removed.

That is why all honest and informed Americans and Latin Americans are elated to hear Hondurans’s CRY FOR FREEDOM. They deserve our congratulations and full support.

Great article, Dennis
For about a week, I've been posting against every lying AP article that has attempted to sow disinformation regarding the Honduran situation as a 'military coup'. Apart from Mona's column, hardly anyone has bothered to address this critical fight leaving the AP to lie to their heart's content.

This has been a classic Chavez orchestrated and sponsored power grab by his Honduran puppet, Zelaya.

Since the tyrant Chavez has seized Venezuela by the throat and subjugated all opposition, his ambitions has been to spread his Marxist totalitarianism throughout the Western Hemisphere. He has used his appropriated oil wealth to fund nascent Castro-style dictatorships in several South American Countries already including Correa in Ecuador, Ortega in Nicaragua, Kirchner in Argentina and a host of others, including Obuttman with whom he is largely akin.

The OAS is now dominated but this new Marxist political reality, as the UN has been for some time. Right now, Honduras is displaying the kind of moral resolve, fighting for individual liberty and freedom and their constitutional government that every freedom loving individual should be cheering and supporting.

The leftists in the current administration are beginning to show their true colors: RED. Madam klintoon is meeting with the ousted thug Zelaya on Tuesday.

Remenmber how the left has squalled at our every intervention on behalf of freedom?

Take Note: If Obuttman does anything to reinstate Zelaya, he will have gone a long way to defining himself: an ally of the Castros, Chavez, Ortega, Kirchner and all the rest of the Marxist dictators of this hemisphere - and a deadly enemy of our own constitution.

Another Bay Of Pigs?

Great article Dennis, but you forgot to mention Obama's support of Zelaya.

Long live the protesters in Honduras!

Condemn the Coup
Why is it that when the rest of the world sees a "coup", the Conservatives see "democracy in action"?

Is this a trait among the Right?

It's only democracy when our guy wins? If the other guy wins then it ain't democracy?

No wonder the rest of the world laughs at the Conservative mindset!

Maybe you guys are like Gingrich - you are not citizens of the world.

You spin yourselves silly trying to justify the unjustifiable.

Heck, even the army's top lawyer, Colonel Herberth Bayardo Inestroza, admitted to reporters that the overthrow was illegal.

But he said it was nevertheless necessary to stop Honduras becoming a socialist ally of Venezuela.

At least President Obama stands on the right side of history here.

History Has Long Shown...
...that elections are only valid when the ally of Anerica is elected. When countries with a sizeable portion of the population who feel, rightly or wrongly, that they might benefit from a more leftwing government express themselves at the ballot box then obviously there must have been some dubious practices at work. Really the only solution is to allow only citizens with a certain degree of wealth to vote, it's the best way to ensure democracy and freedom are allowed to flourish.

OBAMA'S MOSCOW POW WOW
Will Moscow prove to be Obama's first Munich Disaster? Will Putin and Medvedev turn our midget in chief into a fool? Click my name for some interesting insights.

RALPH
"It's only democracy when our guy wins? If the other guy wins then it ain't democracy?"

No moron - Obuttman was elected and we accepted the results.

FYI, Honduras is not a 'democracy'. It's a constitutional republic. Elections and plebicites are held in an orderly manner, according to the constitution.

It's clear Zelaya, as Dennis clearly described, was in the process of circumventing the constitution to extend his own power.

He couldn't get his 'show of hands' for his power grab through the legally established mechanisms of government, so he decided to bum rush one through to the ginned up mob.

After Chavez took power, neutralized any court interference, sent the army into the streets to beat the protesting portions of the population into submission, bought off any commercial interference and threatened any who couldn't be bought, shut down any free media opposition, then he called the fool Carter down to sanctify his 'show of hands' (which he still needed fraud to win).

In Honduras, after he had seized the courts and arrested the congressional and popular opposition, this is the 'democracy' that Zelaya was about to institute.

As it is, democracy is tyranny of the manipulable mob. It is an element of republican government, but it is not the end all, in and of itself.

Perhaps you are a fan of Iranian 'democracy' - did that satisfy your need for a 'show of hands'?.

Before you grace us with all your copious and ignorant 'opinions', why don't you try reading a book (something other than 'Rules for Radicals') and getting yourself informed.

Constitutions.
The USA's constitution means nothing, why should the Honduran?

Frankly, I'd rather read about the Han versus the "Wee-gurs."

Yet, there is something amusing about a nations Supreme Court ordering the military, to do anything. Think of that, in our own country. Yeah, Sotomeyer, (to come), "ordering" our military.

Well, I'd love to be the general that gets an "order" from that Supreme Court. I'd show the justices my tanks, see how they'd like that.

By the way, all democracies, like every other type government, are established by the gun, live by the gun, and die by the gun -- regardless the "morals."

Put that in your pipe, and smoke it, along with your cigar.

We are run by the Left Wing
It is sad that the American people are too busy doing sports and other things to realize Obama is similar in kind to Chavez, Castro and Ahadinejad.

We have abdicated our role as defender of the free and are now like a Banana Republic.

The disease of utopian ideology
Those useful idiots on the political Left are, in a collective sense, emotionally and psychologically incapable of examining what their "revolutionary" heroes are actually DOING on a daily basis. The only thing that the useful idiots hear is the lofty-sounding rhetoric, the utopian fantasies . . . pouring from the mouths of their idols. The useful idiots lack the ability, and the intellectual courage, to face the fact that the DAY-TO-DAY REALITY of Marxist and crypto-Marxist regimes does not conform to the utopian fantasies of their "true believers". It never has, and it never will. The zealous belief in the "liberating" consequences of the various permutations of "revolutionary" class-conflict socialism (depending on one's particular factional allegiance) is like a "secular" Messianic religion . . . comparable to a Muslim fanatic's belief in Jihad, or the belief of the hierarchy of the Medieval church in their own alleged infallibility. I know, because in my own mis-spent youth, I was a member of the radical (Trotskyist) Left. I know how these people think. I understand their emotional insecurities, and their need to find some sort of "revolutionary" utopian "cause" to give them some kind of moral "certitude" to hold on to. Like the Jihadist, they find it emotionally unacceptable to even consider the fact that their collectivist nanny-state ideology may, in fact, be DESTRUCTIVE and inhumane, especially in the LONG TERM . . . if and when it is actually implemented within society. They do not want to face the fact that the increasing centralization of power . . . which is inevitable when collectivist/statist ideologies achieve control . . . is a threat to INDIVIDUAL liberty, including their own.

There was no "coup", Ralph
At least not by the legitimate government of Honduras, which refused to let this Chavez/Ortega/Castro clone set up a leftist dictatorship in violation of his country's constitution. They acted properly and in full authority of their constitution, which did not allow for the very action that this thug was trying to take. You say Odumbo is on the right side of history on this one? Why? Because he is supporting another leftist trying to become an absolute ruler? Why is it that the only time you leftists will support any action is when the end result is the establishment of another dictatorial, leftist regime in the mold of Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua?

Did Obamba
also bow to the Russian and kiss his a** too?

Obama on tour...
It's too bad that every time Obama goes somewhere he needs to reset relationships. Let's just say it, he takes us back to the Carter Era! How fun was that? Check out this website, so you can keep your sanity http://www.theblacksphere.net! You will be HOOKED!

The USA should be jubuliant
the Honduras knows how to deal with its own problems without the US or international communities help.

I don't know all the history of Honduras but from the little I know is that Honduras has had a strong evangelical Christian influence over the last 50 years that has all be gone unnoticed but the unbelieving world. Call it isolation if you chose I call it minding their own house and doing a fine job at it. Other countries might learn a lesson.

Viva Honduras.

Ron
"Did Obamba also bow to the Russian and kiss his a** too?"

Probably not, since Medvedev isn't Muslim.

You
Left Wing Radical Extremist better remember the pictures coming from Honduras. This Country will eventually porduce the same if Socialism isn't stopped.

Ralph in FL
Ralph, you obviously did not time to read the facts of the removal of Zelaya. The man was elected but then "went rogue", just as Obama has here. The Honduran legislature, supreme court and army did the logical and moral thing by removing Zelaya to preserve their republic.

It's too bad that we Americans do not have the courage or moral clarity of the Hondurans. We allow our foreign-born, illegal, rogue dictator to continue in office and trash our Constitution.

Viva Honduras! Shame on America!

THE ANTI LIBERAL ZONE
Has an essay UP now on Comrade Barry in Russia.

Click on my handle to check it out.

Ron
No, he did not bow but he DID sell us out.

Viva Honduras
Our military must begin gearing up to take these constitution trashing Marxists and their dear leader "Barrack Hussein Obama" the hell out of this country.

God bless the brave Hondurans.

When is overthrow legal?
No Constitution ever written includes clauses to define when overthrowing a dictator who got elected is legal. Only one law is needed to justify such action. It is the unwritten law of common sense!

When the replacement for the ousted president is of the same party, supported by the Congress, and the people, it is clearly not the business of all of the other dictators of the world to cry foul and threaten to send the army of Venezuela to force the return to power of the ousted dictator.

All that remains is for Obama to send our Marines to help Chavez and show the world how the U.S. can also be hijacked by a dictator into action few Americans would order.

Wanna Be Dictator
There is no question that after the myriad of actions taken by Manuel Selaya he is clearly working to follow in the foot steps of Hugo Chavez. In fact Chavez is giving him full counsel in how to go about being a dictator, from supplying him with a private jet to bringing in agitators against the Honduran Government.

What is most important to watch for today (tuesday July 7th) is a planned meeting between Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Selaya. It was not a wise move to take this meeting with Selaya in my estimation unless Clinton has a very clear understanding at what is really going on here. We should be watching closely to see if Clinton, and Obama give this wanna be dictator any support or cover. If they do then we are looking at an American Administration who is willing to defy the rule of constitutional law in Honduras in favor of a dictator which defys America's own values.

Prager
If you were hoping to find a column that would cut through the spin, this ain't it.

Do your own research. Don't let Dennis Prager do your thinking for you.

A lot of people in Honduras seem to be very upset that the president was arrested and deported.

I frankly don't know who to support yet because I don't feel like I have all of the facts. The only thing I know for sure is that Prager only gives his side of the story, and he tends to ignore facts that contradict his opinions.

Phylo out.

Gunny G
I highly recommend David Brooks' column. You might learn something.

Answer to "qhoratius (formerly povidus)"
"qhoratius (formerly povidus)" asks:

What has Honduras given America, except illegal immigrants?

The answer:

Proof that Obama wants to be a fascist Banana-Republic-style dictator like his buds Chavez, Castro and Ortega.

Hmmm
I frankly don't know who to support yet because I don't feel like I have all of the facts. The only thing I know for sure is that Prager only gives his side of the story, and he tends to ignore facts that contradict his opinions.

__________________________________________________

Let's see we are a nation of Liberty and Justice for all but we have sided with the Castro bros, Daniel Ortega and Hugo Chavez all communist dictators and yet Phylo does not have enough facts yet...............

LOL...Honduras
Mr Prager, your article is a poke at a hope that you get some air from a story that has very little merit on the grand scale, wasn't anything happening in Grenada...Russia , on the other hand, is in a position to help us in a big way, I suggest you rehone your commmercial arts skills and stick to doing political cartoons or perphaps writing ads for the makers of Midol.....

William
Do you understand anything about South America? That as these so called unimportant small countries start falling like dominos to dictators like Castro and Chavez, you deem this unimportant if more countries are taken over by such low-life leaders?

What is Russia going to do for us? Stop selling arms and nuclear technology to Iran? Stop Korea from launching missles?

Please explain how Russia is going to help us "in a big way".

Quick Question..
...how is Ortega, unpleasant though he might be, a dictator? That seems to be a word bandied about on these pages with very little substantive fact to back it up. He is certainly less of a dictator than Pinochet was yet he seemed to get the full support of the US government (as indeed did Saddam Hussein). Presumably any only 'leftists' can be dictators (even when they are elected)???

William
I suggest that you confine your future writings to rest room walls where they belong.

This could be the straw...
Our US military is full of officers and enlisted men who have good reason to doubt the eligibility to office of the alleged Commander-in-Chief. Some have already joined in lawsuits to determine if Obama is legal.

Given the question of Obama's authenticity, one would hope that, if Obama gives the order for American armed forces to take actions to prop up a legally-removed fellow Marxist dictator ( Zelaya ) in Honduras, our generals and admirals would refuse to carry out that order. I have confidence that our military is populated by men of greater character and love of this country than Obama and his minions.

King Obamaf^ck?
Obama's Tsars NOW outnumber the flavors offered at Baskin and Robbins.

Anyone want to guess what FDR called his Tsars?

DICTATORS.

Why Congress has tacitly allowed the Executive Branch to neuter it? I will never know.

One Newsweek cover had Obama with cigarette in mouth the title was: "Better Than FDR, Cooler Than JFK." Another cover said: "We are all Socialists Now". It editor referred to Obama as GOD.

And, then there's the MSNBC reporter at the White House. His ringtone interrupted a recent press conference. If it rings like a duck, you can call MSNBC, an Obamaf^ck.

After six days of wall-to-wall coverage of the death of the King of Pop, Obama will be pleased once burial at Forest Lawn and the Memorial Service at the Staple's Center is done.

My darlings, beginning with Theodore Roosevelt, Progressivism has had one goal - the destruction of the US Constitution.

Is the Federal Reserve (a Wilson) creation, legal? Absolutely not. Further, its intention is to prevent a Boom and Bust economy. Stalin learned that this was quite impossible.

Now, you can asked me where I plan to be in two weeks, but hurricanes have a funny way of getting in the way of my best, laid plans.

Collectivism has never worked and often leads in death.

There is a reason for the existence of the 22nd Amendment. America should not be Amerika.

Repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments.

Kill the Federal Reserve.

Just say "NO" to TYRANTS!

Phylo
Let me get this straight. You do not know who to support until you have all the facts, but you know Mr. Prager only presented one side of the story? Does that make sense to you? The facts are out. The Honduran Supreme Court and Congress acted to protect the provisions of their constitution. Did you read anything on this? Did you even read this column?

to Phylo
Why even bother to comment if you have no facts?

Why criticize Dennis's comments if you have no facts?

How did you reach a conclusion that Dennis is spinning facts?

How did you reach a conclusion that others here may have done any other research on the Honduran matter?

Do you always prejudge things without your own research?

Upholding the (Honduran) Constitution
Bravo, Dennis!

Article 237 of the Honduran Constitution:
No citizen who has already served as head of the Executive Branch can be President or Vice-President. Whoever violates this law or PROPOSES ITS REFORM, as well as those that support such violation directly or indirectly, WILL IMMEDIATELY CEASE IN THEIR FUNCTIONS and will be unable to hold any public office for a period of 10 years.

Go Honduras!
Way to go, Hondurans. Finally some sense in the western hemisphere. The communist pukes on this site who support Zelaya are subhuman.

I remember Fox News talking about boycot
I remember Fox News talking about boycotting a country for not playing right. This puts economic pressure on a country that hurts trade. What if the opposite was done? What if people supported Honduras economically. It would be a statement that the American people can reward and or punish morality even if our President is not properly representing us.

http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/bgn/1922.htm
U.S.-Honduran trade is dominated by the Honduran maquila industry, which imports yarn and textiles from the United States and exports finished articles of clothing. Other leading Honduran exports to the United States include coffee, bananas, seafood (particularly shrimp), minerals (including zinc, lead, gold, and silver), and other fruits and vegetables.

Banishment
I wonder if there would have been such a huge problem if he was arrested instead of banished. I don't have a problem with that, but it does seem a little too dramatic.

Russia & Honduras
After the breakthrough in diplomatic relations with Russia, the very sucessful Obama 'reset' now means that with the promised reduction in Nuclear Weapons between our two nations we will have limited the destruction of the entire Planet Earth to just 7 times instead of the 8 that we currently have today....I feel so much better.

Thank You President Obama...Thank You so much for taking time out of your busy day to insure that we are safer in the world.

Tell me, what has it cost us?

Did you just promise to give up the Missile Sheild in Eastern Europe, or did we have to scrap the entire defense of the United States altogether?

Whatever the cost, I'm certain that you know best to perserve our well being, because you're so totally awesome.

Now, could we press on you just one more favor...on your way home, after you stop off for a family reunion in Ghana, could you see fit to make a quick pit-stop into Honduras and lecture their Supreme Court on how their Constitution should REALLY be understood, after all, you ARE a Constitutional Professor.

That should fix everything down there real quick...Thanx.

OUR PANTYWAIST PRESIDENT
Yet another example of this administration's abysmal foreign policy. I thought Joe Biden was selected as VP for his knowledge of foreign policy. I guess because of all of his gaffes he has been muzzled.

But, Obama has good instructions on how to handle the Honduran situation. He read the book that Chavez gave him.

The Coming Storm

This article describes the situation in Iran completely:

http://pajamasmedia.com/michaelledeen/2009/07/05/the-storm- ahead/

Obama is not even in league with European leaders.

I would suggest that he read "The Gathering Storm" by Sir Winston Churchill.

He might also wish to read "The Threat Closer to Home: Hugo Chavez and the War Against America" by Douglas Schoen and Michael Rowan, not Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent.

Putin spent nearly all of his time during his meeting with Obama talking about the Cold War. He believes that the East won.

Communist China is salivating.

North Korea is a tinderbox.

The world will not be assuaged by Obama's rosy prose.

Montierny
Why would you allow someone who has demonstrated he has no respect for his country's constitution to remain in that country to foment civil unrest, with the ultimate goal being returning to power and establishing a leftist state along the lines of Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba? My take on this is that the Hondurans acted in the best interest of their country and its constitution, and more power to them.

Obama on meddling: Iran and Honduras
Nice article Dennis. Thanks for writing.

Here's an interesting article that discusses Obama's botched responses to Iran and Honduras.

"...Dictatorship was averted. Chávez threw a fit. The U.S. agreed with Chávez. Wait, what?

When Iran burst into the global spotlight because of its fraudulent elections which were a mockery of democracy, the Obama administration worried about ‘meddling’ in other nations’ affairs, and so the U.S. didn’t say a word. But when the Honduran people worked to preserve their constitution and their nation by ousting a president who disregarded his country’s Supreme Court, defied Congress, fired the General of the military because he wouldn’t comply with Zelaya’s power-grabbing demands, and threatened to change the Honduran Constitution (which only Congress can do, not the President), the U.S. spoke out immediately..."

Publius4254
You may be right. Keeping him around may cause more chaos than Honduras can afford right now.

The Hondurans were not vengeful
When the Hondurans removed Manuel Zelaya for attempting to undermine their constitution, they mercifully just put him out of the country.
They are more humanitarian than our US Democrats.

When someone poses a threat to an influential Democrat in our country, that person ends up the target of some governmental agency...or dead. Ask Vince Foster or the poor guy who got a look in Obama's passport file. Both ended up mysteriously dead, gangland style...crimes never solved. It's the Chicago/Democrat way. America's KGB lives.

Wake up America! Your country is almost lost.

coup??
What Dennis failed to mention is that those ballots printed in Venezuela had already been filled out at the printer - with you-know-who's name already inserted in advance!

Ignorance or Misguided Values
It's unbelievable that when presented with facts concerning this issue, there are those that still seem to find excuses for Zelaya. Many liberals here at home seem to symathize with liberal dictators or wannabe dictators. Could it be that they value economic
"equality" over simple liberties and freedoms? Or could it be that they are ignorant of history?

Phylo on Brock's art.
It was a good article until it mentioned Obama being dignified.

Do you know how he became Senator? It was by getting the media to open his opponent's divorce records. He probably would have won without it, but he thought he might just want to stick the nail in the coffin.

I am not sure what is dignified about him. Was it is fake townhall meetings that even got Chip Reid and Helen Thomas upset with him? Was it his dignity when he said he didn't want to nationalize the auto industry then two days later he nationalized the auto industry. Was he dignified in blaming Bush for everything and taking none of the responsibility? Was he dignified in telling everyone that Healthcare professional's agree completely with his plan after meeting them (in the meeting they said quite the opposite).

This article only means the toads are in their red alert stage. I am waiting for the "he is just way too intellectual for the American people" like they did with Carter, and Dukasis. "He was ahead of his time." "Too gifted." I am waiting for those articles because it means even the toads thinks he is done for. You can almost feel it in the air. The drug haze is wearing off and the press is beginning to panic and say to themselves "I don't want to go down with this guy."

And Hillary...?
Remember when Hillary castigated Barak for his rookie willingness to meet with the crazy Iranian President? You know, that she'd never give a PR victory to him by meeting with him? Yeah, well, I guess that doesn't hold with Zelaya, as she's meeting with him today or tomorrow. What message is she sending the rest of the world...and the crazy commie world of Central and South America.

Can you believe it? There is something going on here behind the scenes. I don't believe it's innocent stupidity. Why else would this be happening now, and why else would the world line up behind this would-be leftist dictator? Seems obvious to me: Communist/lefty totalatarianism is on the move again.

Help us out here, liberals
I hear a lot of talk about Prager's arguments being one sided. So let's hear the other side. Actually, after reading the available material on the net, there is no other side. Any takers on proving me wrong?

Re: Grubby
What an inane post.

Dolts like you cannot appreciate that the term democracy used as a political science term loosely refers to a concept demos kratia (rule by the people) which can encompass several different forms of governing.

As such Honduras IS a democracy (probably not any more).

Of course you parrot the same Right Wing nonsense about President Zelaya attempting to hold an unconstitutional referendum.

It was a non-binding referendum.

I notice that you didn't comment on the tidbit that the Honduran army's top lawyer, Colonel Herberth Bayardo Inestroza admitting to reporters that the overthrow was illegal.

Listen, theis is not the time of lawless Reagan and his Contras. This is not the time of the lawless Bush and his Coalition of the Willing. This is the time of Obama.

This is a president who wants to follow the rule of law.

I'm pretty sure that you and your type have no understanding of the deep divisions that permeate Latin American socities and the historical repression of the ruling classes allied to the military against the mass of poor peasants.

This is a class war whether you believe it or not.

So before you ululate anymore free yourself from ignorance. Read a good book like the one President chavez gave to President Obama.

Re:Pubic4254
Spin, spin spin ...

And yet you can't answer how is it that masked men can go into a President's bedroom and put him on an airplane and exile him to a foreign country.

Tell me where is this procedure written in the Honduran constitution? Where is it written in the laws of the Republic of Honduras?

If President Zelaya was in breach of the law then let due process follow.

Otherwise its just another illegal seizure of power by the oligarchy backed by the military.

I wonder how many of the officers of the Honduran army were trained at the School of the Assassins at Ft. Benning, GA?

RALPH
"Of course you parrot the same Right Wing nonsense about President Zelaya attempting to hold an unconstitutional referendum." Not only was the referendum illegal, even suggesting that there be a referendum was illegal. The specific parts of the Honduran constitution have been posted. Zelaya ceased being President the moment he suggested that he serve another term. What part about a clearly stated provision of the Honduran constitution is unclear to you?

The reason the military was used by congress and the SCOH was that Zelaya was using armed mobs to get his way. You don't go up against armed mobs with the Honduran Boy Scouts, brave as those young lads may be.

Obama must be
so happy to finally be in his true homeland; that's why he brought the entire family on this trip. It's nice to see that Obama is showing his 2 girls what he envisions American to look like.

Nobody Gets IT
"King Hussein" of America, Grand Mufti of A.C.O.R.N. is not going to Criticize the SAME actions HE is gonna take!!! This Lop Eared B@$-tard is gonna suspend the POTUS term limits too. See my previous posts,in TH!! I've been saying' this since the Beginning of The "Chosen One's" Reign. As far as Iran, Barky can't say She-ite!! The Mullahs would tell the world that The Biggest Election Rigger/Thief, in the "History Of The World,[Parte Deux]" is accusing poor little Iran of the Same Thing He Did!!! Is this the only Country in the World that doesn't Know This????

Ralph
Again I ask you ae well, did you read all the facts? The Honduran Supreme court ruled the referendum unconstitutional and ordered the military not to implement the vote. When Zelaya fired the General of the armed forces and stormed the base with his mob, rather than appeal to the Supreme court like a civil leader would, they had him arrested and deported. What did youy read, if anything?

Ralph
What are your sources for believing that this is a coup? How are your sources any more valid than others? Do you really believe that Zelaya was in the right? Remember, Zelaya's own liberal party agreed with having him removed. Does that sound like a conservative vs. liberal or a poor vs. rich issue?

What Davidow said
You dropped in editing a clause from Davidow's quote in the WashPost -- "I don't in any way minimize what's happened in Honduras." The full quote as published in the Post is as follows:
"The threats against democracy in Latin America, and I don't in any way minimize what's happened in Honduras . . . are not those coming from military coups, but rather from governments which are ignoring checks and balances, overriding other elements of government,"....

Clarity!
That is what I expect from Dennis. Clear and to the point.

My prayers go out to the country of Honduras.

CASTRO ,CHAVEZ,OTEGA
You know exactly what Obama is gonna try and the Honduras fisaco only opened his eyes as to how far he can destroy our way of life. With Sotomeyar in there, he may succeed.

PHYLO
You wrote:"A lot of people in Honduras seem to be very upset that the president was arrested and deported."
Guess what? There will be a lot of people very upset when Obama is gets deported back to Kenya or Indonesia or where ever his TRUE citizenship is found.

RALPH
"Otherwise its just another illegal seizure of power by the oligarchy backed by the military." Sure it is, Ralph-- that's why the overwhelming support of the Congress and the unanimous support of the Supreme Court is so meaningless-- just those tricky ol' oligarchs again.

You've sat through 'Evita' too many times, haven't you?

Greetings to
all of the TH folks who recognize the facts about the situation in Honduras. Please note that Fox News is reporting the leftist version of events. They insist it was a military coup.

I have come to understand that "Fair and Balanced" is not what Fox News is about. from O'Reilly the "greenie" down to Gerald Rivers, AKA Rivera, Fox is much more to the left than the impression they try to give viewers.

Take what they say with a grain of salt.

Honduras
Thank you, Hondurans, for not falling to the slippery slope towards dictatorship.

To those who want to follow the path of the dictators' mutual admiration society. Zelaya admires Chavez, Chavez admires Castro, Castro admired Stalin, and Stalin took pointers from Hitler. Each does not equal his predecessor, but the slippery slope is obvious.

Can we invest through KIVA to help the little entrepreneurs in Honduras in order to bypass the unconscionable sanctions that are unfolding?

Not a Coup
The Central fact is the Honduran Supreme Court ruled that when Zelaya made clear attempts to have the referendum, having already been ruled unconstitutional, they then ruled he was in violation of Article 239. The consequence in the Hindoran Constitution is immediate removal.

The warrant for his arrest was then issued by the Supreme Court, provided to the Attorney General (who had brought the issue to the HSC).

Bottom line is grabbing Zelaya in the dead of night and sending him out of the country is the irrelatent partt of this affair. What matters is the HSC made the decision according to their laws. There is thus no way to argue factually that this was extra constitutional.

B.O. Missing in Action, Again!
North Korea, Iran, Honduras, China is where the action is but the administration is grossly incompetent in addressing those hot spots while boondoggling everywhere else.
My prediction right after the election: Publicly, the international community will laud the pretender for his “brilliant diplomacy”. Privately, they will gloat, laugh, and point at the gullible buffoon in the White House and the greatly reduced influence of the U.S. on the world’s stage. The bad actors will take every opportunity to ratchet up their dirty deeds at our expense, extensive loss of life included.
That was then; now I have to add what I suspected would happen and is now clear as day. The Obozzo team is actively sympathetic to ALL ideology and forces that are at odds with American ideals and the Constitution. They’ve embraced every nutcase regime save North Korea but I’m sure they are wracking their brains in order to kowtow to that deranged nation as well. My questions are: Where is the outrage from citizens? Don’t they see what this means to our own liberties both short-term and long? Is the Obozzo team purposefully inviting another terrorist attack so as to give them another “crisis”, not a mostly bogus one this time, and then move quickly to further restrict liberties, alter Constitutional rights, and further their socialistic/communistic agenda? My advice is to keep one’s eye on the “ball” and see what these dangerous idiots are doing in Washington. Then sing out loud and clear as a chorus against abuses and VOTE them OUT!

America = Soviet Union

Obama has sided with every nation that the Soviet Union would have supported...

Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, Syria, Russia, Palestine, China.

Farewell Free World )-:

America was defeated from within as was once predicted.

Obama = Stalin 2.0

Obama and Honduras
For a man that was elected with the priority task of turning this country into a Marxist society (ins't that why he was elected for) he is doing a great job. Now, what are we, the ones that did not vote for him and did not want a socialist society, going to do? It would not surprise me if we have to send him to Canada one night in his pajamas.

Dennis, you are not wrong
An outcry over this defence of the Honduran constitution is bizaare at best and totally hypocritical at worst.

Robert Mugabage (as we like to call him in South Africa), the "president" of Zimbabwe not only destroyed his nation, he defrauded the nation in an election, and it, recently, turns out massacred about 200 people in the South of his country.

He gets one of two responses from world "leaders"
a) It is an internal matter for the Zimbabwean people to solve. (e.g. SA (ex)president Mbeki)
b) He gets a standing ovation at the Non-Aligned Movement meeting in Durban a few years ago.

Then we add the protection of Burma's despots and Al-bashir in Sudan.

Have the world's leaders become power junkies or are they just plain MAD.

Funny logic from the left...
The only "fact" I've seen so far on the other side is that some army lawyer claimed the "coup" was illegal. So, if a single lawyer claims something to be illegal then it is illegal? What happens to the due process the same people want?

Well, if they truly want due process, then they'd urge that lawyer to take the matter to court. Since this is a Constitution matter, it would eventually be settled by the Supreme Court of the land. Ah, I forgot, the Supreme Court has already ruled.

If lefties are serious, they can still show (i) how the Supreme Court's ruling misinterpreted the constitution, (ii) how was the forcible removal of a mob-leader who had ceased to be President according to the Constitution and had attacked a military base violated the Constitution, or (iii) any number of other things that actually involve facts and logical deduction. I guess a serious lefty is really an oxymoron.

On another note, it seems like Zelaya is not going to win anyway:

Re: Robert, LuckyDog et al
Boy you guys can studiously avoid the part about the Honduras Army's lawyer.

So I'll post it for the THIRD time:

The Honduran army's top lawyer, Colonel Herberth Bayardo Inestroza admitted to reporters that the overthrow was illegal.

When your own legal counsel says you did it illegally who are you gonna call - the Ghostbusters?

Please respond to the above, pretty please.

No surprise the President for Life would
stand with his marxist brothers. This lying thug is so predictable.

The left-wing trolls could go to the huffpo if they wanted but they have to post on conservative sites to get paid by Moveon.

Robert
Remember when the old Soviet Union was still a major power and every year some magazine (I can't recall which one) had a map of the world and underneath was a caption that read "Free Nations" and "Unfree Nations" and they would have the corresponding colors for each (I can't recall which colors were which but I think think Blue stood for free and red stood for unfree). I'm afraid that under the current administration, the US will soon be under the Red Color.

As Democrats Honor a Child-Molester...

sheepdog1
Too true. When Pravda is warning that we are becoming too socialist, I tend to worry a bit.

Where can one write to show support?
Where can one write the Hondurans (i.e. email)so that the people see us Americans supporting them. Is there a paper or site where we can show our support?

Messy Situation
I think the situation in Honduras is messier than this article implies. It left out important facts, for example, the former President of Honduras's actions were ruled illegal by the Supreme Court, but he was impeached and exiled without a fair trial to assess his guilt. A new President was sworn in, again without trying the first one. I don't know anything about the Honduran Constitution, so maybe there isn't a provision for a fair trial, I just know that here, he would've been tried before Congress, even after the Supreme Court condemned his actions. I support the current authorities safe-guarding their Constitution, that is truly admirable. I do not feel comfortable calling this a coup, but it looks like the government made some mistakes.

Katherine
The Honduran constitution, as quoted earlier in this thread, specifically says that any official who even advocates the president serving more than one term IMMEDIATELY is removed from office-- no provision is made for a trial. The Supreme Court so ruled, and he was removed. It is important that we go by what their constitution states, not what ours does or what we would wish theirs did.

The reason for this extreme law is the danger Latin American governments have faced in the past from leaders like Zelaya. They use mob rule and a bogus 'referendum' or coup to gain office and then rule forever or until assassinated. The Honduran constitution doesn't even give them the chance to get started on the process.

mistake
Just wanted to fix something on my last post:
The former President was NOT impeached, which would have been the beginning of the fair trial by the legislative body. My mistake.

Robert
I've been looking for that information; it wasn't addressed in the article. I must have missed it in the thread. I agree, they should be judged by their own constitution. Looks like they're in the right. Thanks!

Katherine
Thanks for the comeback, Katherine. There's no doubt this is a difficult situation for Honduras and her people. Unfortunately, too many people haven't read the specific articles in their constitution covering this. Worse, some have and disregard it and say, "Well, they should do it another way," It's their constitution, their supreme court, and their congress that did it, and the leader of Zelaya's own party who have taken this step. Noninterference in the affairs of foreign countries, plus simple respect, should compel us to honor what they have done.

Barry O. and Zelaya
Kindered spirits. Both like authoritarianism.Only this time Barry O.hitched his wagon to the wrong horse.

Excellent Article
Good Job Dennis, this article was simple enough for even liberals to understand, not necessarily agree with. Liberals have never met a Dictator they didn't love and envy. Viva Honduras! Keep up the struggle for law and freedom. We gave up in November, and our Supreme Court doesn't really support our constitution as yours does. Our FBI has turned a blind eye to their sworn oath as well. "To protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC". Our house of representatives definitely doesn't uphold our constitution and in the process of destroying it now. We look to you for guidance and possibly asylum soon. Viva Honduras!

Unfortunately,
Barack Obama also supports those Iran-supporting, America-hating, liberty-loathing forces. We regard to his support for Zelaya he said in Moscow: ""We do so not because we agree with him. We do so because we respect the universal principle that people should choose their own leaders, whether they are leaders we agree with or not."

Barack Obama doesn't disagree with Zelaya, he fully supports any precedent of the executive branch of a government to ignore its constitution and rule by decree, be it Honduran or American. As for the "people choosing their own leaders," this is exactly what Zelaya was trying to undo.

I don't know who is more stupid; ignorant is too good a word, Barack Obama or the people who support him.

HONDURAS HERE WE COME
Birds of a feather?

A president disregarding his Country's Constitution?

No wonder, barry's on zelaya's side.

RALPH,
Thanks to give me the opportunity to show you as a liar.

"TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras — Flipping through a stack of legal opinions and holding up a detention order signed by a Supreme Court judge, the chief lawyer of the Honduran armed forces insisted that what soldiers carried out over the weekend when they detained President Manuel Zelaya was no coup d’état."

"“A coup is a political move,” the lawyer, Col. Herberth Bayardo Inestroza Membreño, said Tuesday night in an interview. “It requires the armed forces to assume power over the country, which didn’t happen, and it has to break the rule of law, which didn’t happen either.”

NOT THE FIRST TIME
This is not the first time that a coup d’état is intended by the government in power.
It happened in Chile by Salvador Allende. This is one more episode in the Latin American history pretty much unknown for most all the American people and most of the young people in LAmerica. The cultural war was lost, that's why. That's why O is in power as well.

Do not despair, as J. Adams said: "Facts are stubborn things;.."

Obama is, clearly, over his head (and the media jabbed that Palin lacked sufficient experience!), to get suckered into joining up with Chavez and the thug-riddled membership to side with Zalaya's re-instatement. Write your wimpy congressmen to urge that we speak up for the brave Hondurans and that we support them by trading with them, for God's sake.

This country better wake up and wake up fast before we lose every right and freedom we have ever enjoyed. This is not an intellectual exercise where we can sit back idly and try to impress each other with our articulation on the merits of one political orientation over another.

This M-A-R-X-I-S-T means business and he means to deprive you of your constitutional rights - every last one of them and plans to install himself as a permanent tyrant by having the 22nd Amendment overthrown. How do you like that as a future?

We'd better get serious and we better get down and dirty real quick. At the rate oBUMa is dismantling the Republic, there isn't much time left.

To put it in context, Al Franken was elected as the Senator from Minnesota. The super-majority now exists by which anything can be voted on, without effective opposition of any sort.

To answer his question
Basically the same kind of coup happened in Equador a little over a decade ago and for similar reasons, namely that a President that was elected as one sort of leader changed his style of governance so that he was out of step with the power brokers of his country.

It is the sign of an undeveloped democracy more than anything that people don't respect the legal procedures and grab what power there is. In a mature democracy the people punish anyone who tries that, that is why the Repubicans lost seats after their farcical impeachment of Clinton.

In the Honduras case the President acted improprerly, and his opponents acted even more improperly in return. That is why neighboring countries, whether leftist or rightest, want to repudiate the coup.

And how sad the conservatives are so desperate to recreate the cold war that they think that maintaining a coup in Hondarus is more important than nuclear arms talks in Russia.

Lon
"In the Honduras case the President acted improprerly, and his opponents acted even more improperly in return." Nope. According to the Constitution of Honduras, which has been quoted on this and other threads, any public officer ceases to be an officer IMMEDIATELY on advocating a second term for the presidency. Immediately-- not after a trial, or when the new election day rolls around-- immediately. The Supreme Court so decided, the Congress so declared, and Zelaya's own party put another Liberal into the presidency. No matter what you think of the Honduran constitution, that is what it says. So far as the Army goes, Zelaya was using armed mobs to break in to steal the illegal ballots, breaking into army bases to get arms, and illegally dismissing any top officer who disagreed with him. So who do you send to throw him out? The Boy Scouts?

thanks ralph
i was pondering over the mind-set of our liberal brethren. is it that they just are not capable of understanding what is going on in honduras, are they so determined to stay ignorant that they just never are exposed to the facts, or is it that they know that their hero zelaya is a communist dictator wannabe that hates freedom, the united states, and any other country dedicated to rule of law? you and your ilk have revealed thee truth, that you prefer communist dictators that hate anyone who is in favor of rule of law. if you have your way, the united states will soon be great friends with zelaya, castro, mugabe, chavez, and any other vile tyrant who is able to enslave a nation, because the liberals will have succeeded in enslaving the previously somewhat free citizens of the united states. the enslavement will be gradual, so that the victims will not know exactly when to start shooting liberals, but they will catch on eventually. read the declaration of independence and weep, useful idiot.

OBAMA and ZELAYA: SOUL MATES

The thing that is most revealing about Obama's stunning and unbelievable defense of this Marxist pig, Zelaya, is his real mentality about democracy.

It is now obvious that Obama views democracy in the VERY SAME WAY Castro, Chavez, et al. view democracy. They see their form of "democracy" as a convenient vehicle for doing away with real democracy by slowly and gradually consolidating total power.

Make no mistake about it! Obama would do and will do anything and everything he can get away with doing to effectuate as much control as possible over the citizenry in similar fashion.

What could conceivably make any sane person believe, now having witnessed Obama's support of the coup that the aspiring dictator Zelaya was attempting, that Obama himself would not likewise support such a set of changes in America that would give him similar extra-constitutional/unconstitutional powers?

I'll tell you this: never give up your guns! Support the NRA! Exalt and protect the Second Amendment. The Founding Fathers put it there to protect you from a power-hungry commander in chief of a military that could be used against you to suppress your freedoms.

The Second Amendment, and the second amendment only, stands between you and tyranny.

Re: Now then, who is the Liar?
So CaMayBe,thanks for giving me the opportunity to show YOU as a liar.

TEGUCIGALPA --

In an interview with The Miami Herald and El Salvador's elfaro.net, army attorney Col. Herberth Bayardo Inestroza acknowledged that top military brass made the call to forcibly remove Zelaya -- and they circumvented laws when they did it.

It was the first time any participant in Sunday's overthrow admitted committing an offense and the first time a Honduran authority revealed who made the decision that has been denounced worldwide.

''We know there was a crime there,'' said Inestroza, the top legal advisor for the Honduran armed forces. ``In the moment that we took him out of the country, in the way that he was taken out, there is a crime. Because of the circumstances of the moment this crime occurred, there is going to be a justification and cause for acquittal that will protect us.''

Honduras, God Bless her
When I think of the travesty that is going on against Honduras it just
makes me MAD.You have to remember that we have a new president
who sides with all the dictators of the world. You have to wonder why. Well, it could happen here with the way he's dictating in our
once beautiful country. Our messiah is learning the ropes from all those 'friends' of his. There is one thing he has miscalulated on. Any
man who tries what happened in Honduras, in America, we have a military who wouldn't stand for it. There are always flights to Kenya.
By the way, Janet Napolitano, ( by the way, I haven't heard from her in a little while) I am a right wing extremist, who loves this country
with a passion. God Bless America, when God gets through with it.

Robert
Is your point that the Honduras consitution is such a farce that it is impossible to act improperly under it? I certainly have seen nothing quoted from the Honduras constitutional as farcical as what you claim is in it. But the idea that violations of the constitution do not have to be established by any kind of a trial certainly rises to the level of farce.

So what you are saying is that to depose a popularly elected leader, it does not have to be established that he did what he is accused of doing, it simply has to be established to the satisfaction of his political opponents, or to the military, or to courts that have not actually held trials on the subject.

Although I take it you meant yourself to be justifying the removal of Zelaya as democratic, your evidence, in the unlikely event that it is accurate despite the fact that most observers have missed it, would actually mean that Honduras does not have serious democratic institutions to violate.

Obama and Hillary Lead Global Charge wit
Summary: Obama and Hillary continue to issue reactive declarations in support of former Honduran president: Manuel Zelaya. In so doing, they place the U.S. at the head of a global movement against Honduran nationalism and democracy; not in its defense.
Honduras is fighting for its constitution fueled by a profound nationalistic spirit. There is nothing to negotiate. The implications of Obama and Hillary’s the ignorance are alarming.

Why is Zelaya seeking reinstatement for such a short term? His ouster was a direct result of his repeated violations of the constitution while president. He was removed from office in accordance with Constitutional Article 239. Zelaya may have been plotting a coup of his own but not on his own. A long list of unsavory and anti-American characters are aligned with the White House in endorsing him. This is not a good position for the United States of America to take as the great defender of democracy.
If Zelaya regains control of Honduras, might there be a political split between the Northern and the Southern American hemispheres? Place red flags on all countries currently have -or are headed towards- socialist/communist governments in the American Continent. What do you see?

Honduras
Once you know the facts, you can only praise what Honduras has done. Hopefully, the world will know the truth behind the destitution of Mr. Zelaya and Honduras will gain the world respect instead of their condemnation... Thank you for supporting true democracy!
