Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

If there's one thing I've learned in my 55 years, it's that liberals are relentless and will win through sheer persistence if conservatives abandon the fight.

The incoming U.S. government stands poised to forever alter the balance between governmental power and individual liberties and to replace the free market economy with socialist planning.

And what do we hear from many conservatives? That we should be encouraged that President-elect Obama has announced certain key centrist appointees and that we should convince ourselves this means he will not pursue the agenda he plainly tells us he will pursue. Savvy liberals must be laughing themselves silly.

Pro-life forces have made inroads into the collective consciousness and against the abominable practice of abortion, and they've been gratified by the appointments of two strict constructionist justices in Roberts and Alito. That said, Americans have just elected the most life-hostile president in our history, who got a complete pass on social issues during the campaign and who might be in a position to appoint three or more liberal activist judges.

But what are many conservatives saying? That Republicans got trounced because of the Christian right's uncompromising positions on social issues. That analysis doesn't square in theory (the majority of Americans are not pro-choice) or in reality (social issues were on the backburner in the national election, and social conservatism triumphed in state ballot initiatives, even in the liberal California).

Liberal secularists tell us Christians are insinuating themselves into government and thereby are threatening our liberties by intruding on the sacred prohibition against church-state interaction. They say our liberty tradition is grounded in secularism.

The depth of their historical and constitutional misapprehensions are only exceeded by the blindness today on both sides of the ideological spectrum as to what is actually going on in this area. Secularists continue virtually unchecked in their indefatigable quest to purge Christianity from the public square.

Those who accused me of hyperbole for arguing in my book "Persecution" that secular liberals are waging war against Christianity should look at what's going in our nation's "godless" Capitol Visitor Center and in state capitols throughout the land. Many secular activists openly admit their hostility to Christianity; they find it offensive and intolerable. The New Atheists blame it -- and other religions -- for most of the evils and violence in history and the present. All the while, secularists insist on imposing their worldview into the policy mix. And the response from many "enlightened conservatives" is that we need to keep our faith in the closet.

This same feckless conservative response has occurred with the war on terror, including Iraq. Largely because of the poll-ignoring statesmanship of President Bush, we have not suffered a major terrorist attack on our soil since 9/11 and have almost consummated our victory in Iraq. Yet conservatives can't wait to join the liberal narrative that President Bush made a mess of the whole thing. I'd hate to see what our fair-weather friends would have said if we'd sustained additional terrorist attacks at home and lost in Iraq.

Those of us who keep fighting against the unyielding liberal tide are not motivated by partisanship or blind ideology but a commitment to preserving America's freedom tradition. If we give up the fight because we lack the stomach for political warfare or swallow the seductive lie that "getting along" is more important than fighting for principles, the demise of the nation is all but a foregone conclusion.

With the financial meltdown and other factors, a perfect storm has developed for Obama to bring his socialist shock and awe to this country, and we're told not only that we can't complain but also that we must rejoice along with him.

Call me stubborn, but all the so-called centrist Cabinet appointments in the world don't diminish the jolt of Obama's statement on "Meet the Press" that "if our entire economic policy is premised on the notion that greed is good and 'what's in it for me?' it turns out that that's not good for anybody."

Don't get hung up on the words "socialist" or "Marxist" now. Just understand that a man who views our current system as "greedy" because an already heavily progressive income- and estate-tax system doesn't sufficiently punish "the wealthy" is no friend of capitalism or of the American dream. A man who so readily demonizes the human desire to pursue one's financial self-interest is setting the table for radical structural changes to our system.

If Obama's words here or to Joe the Plumber don't concern you, then maybe you'll grasp the gravity of the situation when he inaugurates socialized medicine and resurrects the failed and depression-exacerbating Keynesian pump-priming economic model to launch his $1 trillion new New Deal.

What then? Are we supposed to soothe ourselves against these possibly irreversible steps by contemplating Obama's long-forgotten "centrist" appointments or with some 1984-ish chant affirming our harmonious bliss as we kiss our traditions goodbye?

No, thank you.

Bush = Doer
Clinton = Do me.

Clintoon let bin Laden go, twice. He reduced the military and called it a 'surplus', though one was never experienced.

When you don't fight back, there is body count only on one side and that is yours.

At least this president, with whom I disagree on many things, took the fight to the terrorists.

Big difference between doer and do-me.

Two Niner
You never have anything to say yet continue to go out of your way to prove it. Do you know where OBL is?

Hard Thought
Months before 9/11 President Bush was given...and disregarded...a report that was titled:

"Bin-Laden determined to strike inside the United States."

Condi Rice was questioned about this in 2004 during a Congressional hearing and danced around it as much as she could but finally admitted it was a fact.

In that report:

" An allegation that al Qaeda had been considering ways to hijack American planes to win the release of operatives who had been arrested in 1998 and 1999.

• An allegation that bin Laden was set on striking the United States as early as 1997 and through early 2001.

• Intelligence suggesting that suspected al Qaeda operatives were traveling to and from the United States, were U.S. citizens, and may have had a support network in the country.

• A report that at least 70 FBI investigations were under way in 2001 regarding possible al Qaeda cells/terrorist-related operations in the United States."

Doesn't take much "hard thought" to see that it was President Bush and not Slick Willy who dropped the ball on that warning about 9/11.

StoneRock
Per your "Where is OBL" question:

I guess that we will find out in the next 45 days or so since I remember some CIC guy promising the American people "make no mistake about this...we will get Osama bin-Laden."

Unless by "we" President Bush meant Barack Obama!

Tom,
Do you believe Obama will get OBL?

StoneR
Probably not, but I bet he does just as good at it as President Bush has done!

tom
Maybe, but if OBL is not already dead, as long as he's not confirmed alive then he is better than dead.

The Gorelick Wall
What about the wall between the FBI and CIA? Who set up the system where the FBI, CIA, and local law enforcement couldn't give each other information on suspected terrorists. That's right, Ms. Gorelick, a pure Clinton hack.

Winning Elections
Fighting Abortion is a losing cause as evidenced by the votes on various propositions.

Fighting Marijuana users is a losing cause as evidenced by the votes on various propositions.

==

And while Republicans are fighting losing causes the Socialists are screwing our economy and our system bad. Real bad. I'm looking forward to Obama's mandated health care ruing the economy further. Oh. Happy Days Are Here Again.

Republicans have to decide Jesus Party or Economical Government Party. Do we want to stop the slide where we can or do we want another 40 years of Democrat rule.

Judging by what is going on it looks like Jesus and 40 years of Democrat rule. Oh well. My consolation is that in another 20 years the old folks still supporting a Jesus Party will be dead.

Ranger29
I read a lot of posts and don't know what this guy's problem is, but he usually denies facts without backing up his own theories.

As to what led to the 9/11 disaster, here are some facts:

In 1996, shortly after TWA Flight 800 exploded and crashed, Al Gore was appointed chairman of the White House Commission on Aviation Safety. On September 9, 1996, Gore produced a preliminary report recommending counter-terrorism procedures to be implemented by the airlines. Some major airlines complained that it would cost them too much money.
About two weeks later, TWA contributed $40,000 to the Democratic National Committee. Within two weeks, American, United, and Northwest kicked in another $55,000 for the '96 campaign. During the next two months, American added $250,000; United added $100,000; and Northwest threw in another $53,000.

In January 1997, Gore issued a final draft with all security measures eliminated. Two commission members, as well as CIA Director John Deutch disagreed with the report, which Gore pulled back for revisions. A month later he issued his final report, which required high-tech bomb detectors, background checks for security personnel, additional airport security training, and increased canine patrols at facilities. The report included no timeline for implementation of the measures.

Robert
Are you one who believes:
It's OK to transfer your assets to your heirs so Medicaid pays for Nursing home care?
It's OK to work under the table and accept government funded pay?
It's OK for persons on SSI disability to play golf every day?
It's OK for 85 year olds getting MRI's every 3 months at medicare's expense?
It's OK for Public employees (police, firemen, local gov't employees) to work unneeded overtime when nearing retirement to boost retirement pay?

These are my neighbors. These are the middle class. Not the greedy entrepreneurs. You sound a lot like them.

Fortunately
there are still plenty of Americans who do not believe we ought to take a poll before we decide what we think today, and that being Popular is not the chief end of humanity.

What we believe is what we believe, and if the Liberals do not like it they can go pound sand.

I was the sole principled Republican Conservative in a freshman class of 125 at a Southern Bible College in the 1960s. I worked in International Tax and Finance in the early 1990s and some of my clients were Russians doing business in Russia. My principles are well honed and I have no problem doing the Erroll Flynn number against all the Liberal Sheep in the world. I have found that when you stand up and look them in the eye, they wilt almost as quickly as the children do when met with a parent who says No. Just No. Regardless of the whining and demands for WHYYYYYYYYYYYY? just answer No. Just No. It worked on the college liberals, it worked on the Russians, and it will work on the Obamabots.

"Getting Along"
It is interesting that "getting along" in the age of Obama has suddenly become a theme - after 8 years of non-stop vitriol, seething hatred, over the top mean spirited rhetoric, and NO presumption of goodwill whatsoever on the part of liberals or the supposed "loyal opposition".

Now, all of a sudden we're supposed to take a page out of Chris Matthews' book and "help Barack Obama to be a great President".

I'm all for giving the guy a chance, he is our elected president. But that does not mean, contrary to what liberals, the media, and even some lingiune spined psuedo-conservatives seem to think, that we have to genuflect every time he makes a pronouncement or appointment.

"Getting along" is strictly a one way street for leftists. It means learning, living, and loving the liberal way of doing things. However, when a conservative is in charge, any opposition up to and including lying and civil disobedience is suddenly a matter of the end justifying whatever means are deemed neccessary.

Our side never seems to get this, but the left sure does.

Simon ....
You are insightful. If it comes between principle and money, even money that is an illusion; Money will always have the support of the majority.

ANTI LIBERAL ZONE
Has THE ESSAY of the WEEK up.

Liberal Tyranny.

Also, a MUST READ from a liberal.

http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/7a03e5b6-c541-11dd-b516-000077b07 658.html

A world government proponent. And with Barack "I love the UN" Osama coming in, we're in trouble!

The ox is slow but the earth is patient
This is a line from a Tom Seleck movie that I've never forgotten and I apply it quite often to the attitude of the Left. Barack and his ilk have worked in the trenches for years doing the small things, especially to our youth, that have led us to the place where we have a society so devoid of knowledge and understanding that we are ready to accept the imposition of a social structure that has produced nothing but misery for millions.

Barack may take his time on some things but his long-term aim is complete change of the foundations of the nation. Everything, absolutely everything he does, even feints to the right, will be calculated to fool us into thinking that what's happening either isn't actually happening, or that it's good for us, and inevitable.

An idea or two
I know I can't be the only person out here in America who agrees whole heartedly that radical redistribution of wealth, punishing creativity and good business practices, socializing medicine, increased taxes, or any other liberal fiddling with the economy is going to make things worse, possibly much worse. I know I am not the only one who agrees with Mr. Limbaugh in fearing this tinkering with our capitalist system.

I know I also can't possibly be the only one who nonetheless feels a deep twinge of embarrassment at being associated by that viewpoint with the herd of people who call themselves conservatives but really mean bigots - the gay-bashers and women-haters who wave bloody-fetus posters and rant and rave whenever the implicit (no, it isn't stated, it is implied) separation of church and state is enforced.

It just strikes me as a shame that in order to hold a position of sanity on economic issues, I get lumped in with fanatics with whom I would never wish to be associated on social justice issues.

With that said, now that Obama IS the next President, what can we do but fervently hope he does not further damage the economy and hope that his appointments at least suggest he will govern to some degree as a centrist? It isn't as though we get a 'do-over' electorally if his administration does something horrible, so, perhaps it really IS the best idea to compromise when necessary to practice as much damage-control as possible.

I mean, we did all learn to compromise way back in grade school, and, usually, it is when we least WANT to compromise that it is most necessary that we do so, so as not to lose our whole pie instead of half.

Bob

However, when a conservative is in charge, any opposition up to and including lying and civil disobedience is suddenly a matter of the end justifying whatever means are deemed neccessary.

I could not have said it better. That is what I call the tyranny of the left.

Tom
So what? You have NO CLUE how many reports come across the President's desk in a typical week.

There simply aren't enough resources to track down each and every one of them, especially for someone just on the job.

Bush is in office less than 8 months and he should have been all over it? Clinton had been in office 6 years, whats his excuse(or yours)?

Longplay
Also applicable for the Leftist's agenda is mao's motto of: "the longest journey starts with the first step."

That step started with Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, Oblahma's playbook and ends with his POTUS!

This clown is already working on a coup d'etat of our rules by proposing to bypass Congress on 20 Jan.

Check out my blog for the reference.

tom
Pleae refresh my memory for me. How many times did Bill Clinton pass up the Sudan's offer for OBL? Was it twice or three times?

Too bad he did not take them up on it, 3,000+ Americans would still be alive.

Naifs vs. Killers
I get a laugh out of the thought of secularists trying to counter the Islamic fascists. It's like a football team with no ideology who don't know who they are or that they are playing against a team that is ready to die for its cause and has thousands of times in our ongoing war against Islam, the religion of peace, uh, check that, it's the religion of Submission, you liberal idiots.

Onward, Secular Soldiers! LOL

Jerseyvet
Onward, Secular Soldiers! LOL

You owe me a keyboard!

LMMFAO!

Right wing: "Let's ROLL!"

A MUST READ
for all Conservatives.

http://dyn.politico.com/printstory.cfm?uuid=FE31A9A9-18FE-7 0B2-A8092D2A352B3514

Demand this from your Reps/Sens and we'll boot the socialist vermin in 2010/2012.

Liberals Don't Like Facts
You just can't accept what was NOT done by Clinton under his watch and you still want to blame everything on Bush. Sorry but I am afraid that history is going to show a very strong George Bush and just how right he had it. The truth is a hard pill to swallow.

Swimming Against The Tide
Conservatives have been losing traction for years. We are browbeaten, pilloried, hated and lied about ,but we are still here.

We are the only thing that keeps this society civilized. Without us,there would be no morals, except low-morals. It is a constant battle but we are up for the fight.

If the Republican Party ever backs a real conservative and the RNC funds them as the left does theirs,we will be a viable force again.Look for us next time around.

As for Robert. He is an agitator. His modus operandi is to criticize whatever the poster writes. No matter what is it. He should be ignored, for his ramblings will be deleted at sunrise. He has been banned many times and has used dozens of monikers to fool the moderators.

Stand For Nothing Fall For Anything
By no means should your words be taken lightly by anyone in the nation whether conservative, moderate (Republican or Democrat) or liberal that still has an once of life and love within them to believe this nation stands for freedom and not bondage.

Your words are very poignant in saying that we . . . . WE Americans of Faith have stood by and been nice guys and have allowed our freedom to worship and have a belief in God and in a nation founded by the forefathers not of separation of Faith and State, but a restriction of the State sponsored Church, to not allow any Church or Religion. And it is clear to all with open eyes and minds watching the recent years of the media, Hollywood, and the fanatic environmentalists, that Liberalism is a passionate religion that should not be entitled to run the State. i do not see Methodist or Baptist or Catholics running the State. But Liberals want to run the Sate.

Many may not remember, but as a young lad in school I heard the words of Nikita Khruchev when he pounded his shoe on the desk and stated openly, "We will bury you". The forces of evil have been saying this for thousands of years to Christians of Faith (no matter what religion).

We had better "STAND FOR SOMETHING" (God, Faith, Judeo-Christian Morals, work-ethic and Standards of Integrity) or we will "Fall for this "Godless" religion of Liberalism" and be under its bondage throughout our entire lives.

Relentless Ramblings
Jerseyvet alludes to a religious war, and that is the root of the war against Islamofacists. Until we realize that and call the enemy what they are we are losing ground.

It wasn't that many years ago that we Conservatives were looked on as 'crazies' when we warned of a move toward socialism. (the word was even politically incorrect.) Now when I point out that things like the gay marriage issue and attacks on Sarah Palin's fundamentalism point to a larger war on Christianity I get that same reaction.

I recently read on a lefty blog a theory that Obama is appointing 'centrist' liberals as a cover for his real (socialist) agenda. The idea is that as members of his inner circle they will a go along to get along. One of the comments following the post said, "...One day Americans will wake up and won't know what hit them because we will be in charge."

The only flaw in the theory is that the Democrats aren't 'go along to get along' types. That would be the so called Republicans.

And now, for something completely....
....well, not so different:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2008/12/09/report-illinois- governor-taken-federal-custody/

Seems the governor of Illinois and his chief of staff have been taken into custody by the FBI.

Among the charges: trying to sell Senator Obama's seat....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Democratic Socialist win
Conservative Republicans have just got to get off the religious bandwagon on the subjects of abortion, birth control, and gays. Enough already. Re-arrange the arguments in ways that average Americans understand and care about: Economically. If you don't want to use taxpayer money to fund abortion clinics, birth control, planned parenthood, then vote for me. If you want your money to fund the above, vote for him. Just lose the anti-gay argument. If the Christian Right continues to screech, which is what the Democrats want, then the gay thing is going to end up in the Supreme Court and become a constitutional issue. It should not, just as abortion should not have become a constitutional issue. Few, very few issues ought to be fought out in the Supreme Court. Most issues ought to be left to the individual states, and not in their courts either.

Conservatives lost the election because our candidate (I voted for McCain, reluctantly)treated the voters like idiots and said OUT LOUD that he did not know anything about economics. For pete's sake! Any one of the other candidates would have been a better choice than McCain. What did I want in a candidate? I wanted him to understand economics and explain it to Americans in language they understand. I wanted an anti-illegal alien candidate and a strong pro-defense candidate. I wanted a candidate who would say how he would bring American companies back to America and end NAFTA. Whatever works to bring back jobs to Americans, pronto. I wanted an anti-income tax candidate, and an anti-entitlement candidate. Did I hear any of that? Did anyone else?

Dining with the Left
We had Thanksgiving with the left side of the family. The mix on the left includes a lesbian couple and socialist atheist host and hostess. On the right is a Catholic Priest, myself and family. Politics and religion are forbidden subjects on this annual occasion.
However, lefties being what they are, get their digs in. There was some residual Palin bashing. (moving on from the Bush bashing of previous years). There were also these observations.
Dan was upset with the conservatives that Obama was appointing to his cabinet. "Which ones are they?" I asked. "You know, Hillary and that Emanual guy." I felt a warning kick from under the table.
Dan later told a story of how he told a clerk at a store that he was a socialist. When she inquired further he told her that if she was making $14.75 an hour, that is also what the president of the company that owns the store would also make.
I'm sure she thought that was 'fair'. So what would the motivation be for the president of the company to work the long hours and make career defining decisions for $14.75 an hour as opposed to the clerk that does her 'forty' and goes home?

Did I read that right?
Is David Limbaugh saying that the goal of Christian conservatives should be to install a Christian government in the US?

GunnyG© #21 writes: "the longest journey

I'm afraid, GunnyG, that it does NOT end with his POTUS.

Bozo Obama as POTUS will making that journey longer.... and we're NOT going to like it!

ROFLMAO

Good thing Obama reformed and changed Illinois's corrupt politics and stood up to his own party.

errr?

I think I confused Obama with someone else. OH YEA! That lady from Alaska with more then her share of courage and integrity.

She must of got Obamas share.

Primavolta
"Is David Limbaugh saying that the goal of Christian conservatives should be to install a Christian government in the US? "

I must of missed it, where does he say that?

Limbaughs Paranoid ramblings..
are sympton of everything that is wrong with the right and why it is was resoundingly and overwhelmingly rejected by the american public
in the last election.

Limbaugh lives in some alternate universe where the last 8 years of the Bush-Cheney administration and former republican led congress were somehow rated "highly successful" in governance. Nothing could be further from the truth. If so then why do we now have a dem-potus elect in Obama and a dem led congress in which more seats were gained in the senate & the house of reps, thus solidifying the majority?

Limbaughs paranoid rant that somehow Prez-elect Obama and the Dem led congress have a plot to
transform the u.s. from a free market into socialism is total bs and the type of fear mongering that caused the GOP to be blown out of the water in a electoral college tidal landslide victory bu Obama and the dems.

As long as the GOP and conservatives have people with the narrowminded vision of People like the Limbaughs, Coulter, Malkin and the like they will continue to isolate themselves from the mainstream as the extremist they are.
They will also remain what they are: THE MINORITY.

Well LA, if nothing else, no one can

accuse the libs of being paranoid....

Pretty much WHATEVER they're accused of by the "RIGHT" is not fabricated. IT'S TRUE!

Dr. Who
My coffee is sweet, and my schadenfreude is strong....

Hmmm...one wonders what statement "The Office of the President-Elect" will issue.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

LA
"Limbaughs Paranoid ramblings."

Quickly followed by your own.

"They will also remain what they are: THE MINORITY."

Why are you here trying to change that? That's good for you, is it not?

A Wasted Generation!!
From about Vietnam and on we have had to endure a growing tide of Liberalism, a self centered Immature Child like generation that has built a Political Party that believes Government should have a hand in our lives.
That has produced a generation of fat lazy computer/cell phone addicted children and young adults that show little to no respect to Parents, School Teachers, Society and towards each other, that think they deserve what took our Parents and Grand Parents a life time to achieve. Society is not better now because we have all these high tech stuff, were we think we know it all about everything and have shown it by a Liberal Policies that created the Free Market Economy that has spawned NAFTA , the Outsourcing of American Jobs for Greedy fatcat Execs. Have over inflated the stock Market for a small few to corrupt our financial system that now has the people that created and benefited by this Financial Mess to know getting rewarded with the Bailout. And only a bunch of Liberals would believe that we should Bailout everybody including States with Financial problems to thinking that this will be controlled by this highly skilled Obama Team (Now Thats A Joke) this money won't be controlled any more than the Billions after Katrina and somebody is going to get rich off the new Technology that is more in line with thinking the Sky is Falling, but we never learn from what has happened in our past as if it has no value in building the future. The Liberal Socialism that has invaded into most all of our Society has done more harm and weakened a once Proud stand alone Conservative Country.

Left Angle
As long as the Republicans get milque-toast nominees like John McCain- what you say will be true. It is when we let Dems and the media make our choices for us that we lose.
When a real conservative is nominated (ie: Palin, Jindahl, or the like) we will kick your butts. Wait and see.

Primarily Revolting
If a Christian government is installed will that mean you will have to give up all your sins?

Hello!? McFly!
The problem with D. Limbaugh's arguments is that he actually believes them. Americans have seen the results of how the "moral values" crowd govern and want nothing to do with them. Loyalty preempts competence, belief preempts facts, power preempts conservative policy; social conservatives have stigmatized themselves and the Republican Party. It will take years to undo the damage they have done.

We already have socialized medicine. Take a close look at a hospital bill for someone who is insured and you will see that you are paying not only for yourself but the uninsured as well. Instead of ranting about socialized medicine, we need to first recognize the facts and then proceed to address the issue. There are many good possible solutions that do not require duplicating the Canadian or European models. However, we cannot solve a problem until we see the situation for what it is. Using worn out political slogans is a weak attempt to avoid the issues.

Anne In your mind its true..
and that's the unfortunate thing because that's exactly why the gop and conservatives got there arses handed to them by obama and the dems in the last election and are in control of the federal government. your nutty conspiracy theories are exactly what they are: FICTION

conservatism of the type you, gunnyg, the limbaughs, malkin coulter and the like practice is a form of right wing extremism that is beyond the mainstream of america. it is highly negative and devisive, has no ideas for solving the countries problem, homophobic, hostile to minorities and is based on forcing its religious beliefs on everyone. it is largely middle age/elderly caucasian and located in the midwest and deep south.

It is the MINORITY ANNE..LOL

Getting Along
While I believe diplomacy and sometimes compromise are important in the arena of government, this should not mean total agreement on every issue just to keep peace and harmony. This is a fool's definition of bipartisanship.

I work with a very liberal fellow who feels we should give Obama a chance. I will tend to agree until future events dictate otherwise. After all he will be President on Jan. 20. However when pressed for specifics he says this means agreeing with him totally and giving him his way all the time. I had to explain to him that holding the office does not give you carte blanche to do anything. We have never had a President where this was the case, Republican or Democrat, left, center, or right, etc.

He also loves to cloud the issue. When Obama's grandmother died shortly before the election he felt we should show our sympathy by voting for him and (wait for it) if we didn't we were racist. He also has expressed a rather irrational belief that someone may try to kidnap or otherwise harm Obama's daughters. I am not saying this is impossible but I believe he only says things like this to generate a sense of sympathy for Obama.

I could go on but you get the idea. I rarely meet a rational liberal. "Bob" from DC you got it exactly right. "Getting Along" from a liberal point of view is a one way street.

Duck Hunter, I doubt that seriously
you state:

"When a real conservative is nominated (ie: Palin, Jindahl, or the like) we will kick your butts. Wait and see."

Exactly how is that going to work, with a constituency of base conservatives only?
the landscape of the country has changed in terms of population and political ideology and the far right has isolated itself.

A "true conservative" as you say preaching the same ole bs would be "crushed" in todays political environment.

YLG
schadenfreude, the next 4 years will be full of schadenfreude!

Already even the left wing is worried about their presidential pick. Obama was such an unknown their pick was akin to shooting an arrow into the air.

- Obama less then hard left cabinet picks.
- Obama no longer for too much change, not with all the Clinton retreads he has appointed.
- Obama is not pulling out of Iraq as fast as he promised.
- Obama doesn't think wire tapping is not such a bad idea anymore.
- Obama is going to keep Bush's tax cuts in place.
- Obama is going to increase troop strength in Afghanistan. (Code Pink will love that)

Still to COME!

- Obama will not close GITMO anytime soon (in his administration)
- Obama will approve water boarding in "certain situation"

In the end though, the dems like LA, will support Obama even after the arrow they shot into the air lands in their foot. After all to them Power is more important then principles.

Question:
Can a president be impeached even before they take the oath of office?

I only ask because Obama is on the verge of being indicted by the FBI for his Rezco corruption!!

Absolutely priceless! Obama can't even make it to inaugeration day before having his first major corruption scandal!!!

beowulfe - Good Move!
At least the Obama is not a US citizen wackos have a new bone to chew on. I was getting tired of the birth certificate issue.

Dr. Who
Agreed!!

The morning after the election, I was talking with my Obama-supporting neighbor. He asked me what I thought Obama was going to do. At first, I was tempted to say "He's going to Disneyworld"...but after picking up my jaw off the ground, I told him, "You tell me. You voted for him." He simply smiled and went back into his house.

"- Obama will not close GITMO anytime soon (in his administration)
- Obama will approve water boarding in "certain situations"

I can't wait for Hal to do his 180* turn when Obama comes out in support of these!!!

LA: EXACTLY what we expect from the left

So, lets put this into perspective, shall we?

As we've all heard the libs claim, Obama had a land slide victory! NOT TRUE! It was minimal at best. 48A% - 52% is no where near a mandate!

Then we go to WHO elected Obama, and we all now know (whether or not you can admit it!) that there was a SIGNIFICANT number of people who voted FOR Obama who had NO CLUE as to what he was about or what he was "promising."

They were ill informed and uninformed!!!

John Ziegler's interviews and documentary, as well as the Zogby polls PROVED that!

Left Angle
Did you happen to notice the fired up crowds that were at every Palin rally? Did you hear Saxby Chambliss say that Sarah Palin rallies were one of the key factors that changed his victory from single to double digits?
Beafraid, be very afraid!!

YLG
"I can't wait for Hal to do his 180* turn when Obama comes out in support of these!!! "

I will laugh at him, this is going to be fun.

It is as inevitable as the sun rising in the morning.

Anne - Don't Speak For Me
How is it that you can claim what "we" expect from the left? There is a big difference between you and we. We have been losing elections since 2006 to the Democrats. Are you asserting that we expect Democrats to continue winning? I suspect that "we" are losing elections because people like "you" claim to speak for us.

If only it was a fair fight
It isn't that conservatives have given up the fight or that we don't have "the stomach for political warfare," it is that conservatives really do have values, principles morality and a conscience. It is hard to compete with a "relentless" entity that is devoid of such traits.

Unless the right is willing to not only stand up to the bully that is liberal activism but swat it down hard as well, the relentless will triumph over the righteous every time.

I recommend a page from the Obama playbook, it is time to "get in their face." The first to experience our agitation should be the propagandist media. I'm in for penny or pound.

Jesus Freaks
I left the Republican Party when RR got in bed with Jerry Falwell. I will be happy to come back when they get the religous right out of the GOP.

Chambliss won in a red state, Georgia that McCain also won..like I said the GOP is largely
located in the deep south and midwest. Places where Palin is popular...his win wasnt unexpected.

Obama won NINE states that were RED in the last
prez election. what is your explanation for
this happening? were those former gop states misinformed and ignorant? you tell me.

Scout42: Sorry, not sure we'd be happy

ILLINOIS GOVERNOR
BUSTED for corruption!!

Classic.

REZKO, BLAGO, OBAMA
all fixing to be indicted for corruption!

Word has it that Blogo was working on selling the Senate seat to, get this,

JESSE JACKSON JR!

Once again, we see the corruption inherent to the liberal party!

“The breadth of corruption laid out in these charges is staggering,” U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald said.

SWEET!

PS: Ol Chuckie Schumer called Fitzie a REAL dogged prosecutor concerning Scooter let's see how he does NOW!

I really don't understand your point about OBL. Why do you want to seem to play games of semantics about if/or/maybe OBL is "confirmed" dead or alive and how it has any value to the dicussion.

Here's the deal: Bush promised he would "get" OBL and it has not happened so far. However, he still has about 45 days!

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST! LMAO! HIC!

IMAGINE THAT, more CORRUPTION in Illinois Politics! I’m SURE that ACORN Hopey McChange is COMPLETELY innocent and had NO IDEA such things were going on.

Also notice how ACORN Hopey McChange is BACKPEDALING AS FAST AS HE CAN on ALL SORTS of issues. By running as The Rorschach Candidate, he had the bar set IMPOSSIBLY high by the likes of Piggy the Moocher and the http://www.HowOamaGotElected.com morons. There is NO WAY he can deliver what THEY THINK he promised.

Also, HOW SWEET is The DOUBLE Schadenfreude of ACORN Hopey McChange KNEECAPPING The Clintons and REMOVING them ONCE AND FOR ALL fro American Politics. Either she serves the whole term as SOS, she quits in 2 years to run against ACORN Hopey McChange AFTER he WRECKS America or ACORN Hopey McChange FIRES her!

The Double Schadenfreude I referred to is the fact that if Shrillary Cankleton had run for US Senate from her home state of Illinois, ACORN Hopey McChange NEVER HAPPENS! LMAO! HIC!

Get some popcorn and a drink and lets watch The Libtards spin THE LATEST SCANDAL that hits CLOSE TO HOME for ACORN Hopey McChange.

David Limbaugh clearly opposes "secularism" in government and disagrees with the principle that our freedoms are founded within a secular tradition. He thinks our freedoms stem from something else, namely Christianity. My question is, is Limbaugh advocating a Christian government? If not, then what?
Please clear this up for me so I can correct my belief that fundamentalist Christianity and fundamentalist Islam are eerily similar.

Remember how RABID Fitzgerald wanted Libby??

Well, this guy is RABID for a win, and he will stop at NOTHING!!!

How can you defend the fact that Bush ignored a report titled:

"BIN-LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE INSIDE THE UNITED STATES."

Especially when that report indicted "al Qaeda has been considering ways to hijack American planes...bin Laden was set on striking the United States through early 2001...al Qaeda operatives were traveling to and from the United States, were U.S. citizens, and may have had a support network in the country."

And that "at least 70 FBI investigations were under way in 2001 regarding possible al Qaeda cells/terrorist-related operations in the United States."

Now you can cut it any way you want and try to blame everyone from FDR to Chelsea Clinton but even small children will figure out who should have taken action in the summer of 2001.

Bush ignored the report. Condi Rice was forced to admit that. Live with it.

Just posted an UPDATE on the Anti Liberal Zone concerning the Tyranny of the Left.

Seems Blagojevich was using his office to silence the press.

A corrupt liberal (sorry for the redundancy) busted. A two-fer actually!

YLG
Yeah, let's see how he goes after Blago.

Check out my update on my blog. Blago is DEEP doo-doo with The Messiah.

It is absurd to think that Sarah Palin could ever be elected in a national vote. She is so naive that when she was going aroiund the nation taking shots at the "un-American...don't love their country like you and me...unpatriotic" big cities the fool didn't even realize that 80% of America is in the large metro areas. She is exactly what's wrong with the GOP. She panders to and has the support of a relatively small base.

I would guess that if they could do it, the Dems would love to get it in writing that Sarah Palin be on the GOP ticket both in 2012 and 2016. That would basically gaurantee them a victory.

Liberals are louder
I've often wondered why Liberals are so much better at organizing protests, picketing, and drawing vast crowds to parade & create havoc. Seems like you rarely see conservatives doing these things. IMO it's because:

-Most conservatives have jobs. Hard to get together for an anti-Left rally when you're working 60 hours a week and trying to raise a family. Liberals, on the other hand, don't value work (or wealth) nearly as much; more willing to focus on protest.
-The young are primarily on the Left. They're inexperienced and naive, and therefore susceptible to simplistic ideological solutions. They've got energy, anger, and love a bit of anarchy...for entertainment if for no other reason.
-It seems like there are well-funded industries that have grown up around most of the Liberal causes. Full time jobs, ego-satisfying attention, and a self-righteous feeling of moral superiority are all powerful motivators.

Is there any reason why anyone should take your stupid bait? Your whole post was blatantly dumb and based upon stereotype, hyperbole, and emotion, without one modicum of logical thought what so ever.

Like a typical liberal you continue to defecate in your own bed then roll in it.

I'm actually surprised that he was arrested. After all, Rangel is still and Jefferson hasn't been tried yet and even ABSCAM Murtha ran free!

I wonder how well barack bin obama knew Blago?

WHO will roll over on Obama first? I'm betting Rezko.

I already checked it out at FOXNEWS.com. I wonder if The DNC is warming up the bus that Blago WILL be thrown under by ACORN Hopey McChange?

At their core, liberals are whining immature children who, when angry, do the "I'm taking my ball and going home" thing. They don't get their way and it's "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Just take a look at Franken (if you can stomach that) and you will NEVER see a Conservative act like that.

creeping Socialism....
the pace has been slow but steady. It started small, with little seemingly good things, like seat belt laws and expanded from there. Our personal freedom has been getting narrower throughout my lifetime and now we are on the brink of losing individual liberty.

What used to be known as "clean living" has become somehow hateful. Part of the problem is that all of the conservative persuasion, not just the Christian part, have been willing to accept the small encroachments on freedom either because they didn't think it affected them or because they just thought such goofy ideas would never take over, or perhaps they benefited in some way and thought it outweighed the small loss of liberty.

I don't think the Founders ever envisioned a time when religion, particularly Christianity, would be seen as something that limits freedom. Their purpose was not to have freedom FROM religion but rather to have freedom OF religion, not making one preferable to another, leaving individuals free to worship according to their own discernment.

gunny
I certainly would never defend Slick Wily, but you really don't know the circumstances of the Sudan/bin-Laden situation as they occurred in 1996 do you?

Do you know that Clinton was advised we could not legally take OBL at that time?

Do you know that Clinton was told "The FBI does not believe we have enough evidence to indict bin Laden (at that time) and therefore opposed bringing him to the United States,".

Do you know that the US had a tenuous at best relationship with Sudan and that on "Feb. 6, 1996 -- Ambassador Timothy M. Carney's last night in the country before evacuating the embassy on orders from Washington." was when the talks of taking OBL took place?

It was so bad that "Paul Quaglia, then the CIA station chief in Khartoum, had led a campaign to pull out all Americans after he and his staff came under aggressive surveillance and twice had to fend off attacks, one with a knife and one with claw hammers. Carney was instructed to withdraw all remaining Americans from the country."

Sudan itself was under great pressure from the USA for being a nation that supported terrorism and many USA intelligence experts did not trust what the Sudan leaders said and suggested that we not rely on Sudan President Bashir who was concerned only with staying in power and had just as much allegiance to OBL as he did to the USA.

In fact, that situation continued and to this day President Bush has dealt with the situation the same way when a nation has a history of support for terroris groups. Look at Pakistan for example.

So it's not quite as crystal clear as you would like to pretend.

Relentless Liberal Tide
The liberal agenda is threatening to engulf us all to our collective detriment. Never give up! But a comprehensive, coherent, and effective strategy for deploying enlightened conservatism in today’s world and a champion that will pick up the banner is nowhere to be seen. Very discouraging!

We the people are supposed to guide our own destiny with interest and active participation in the politics of the country. Prudence and a conservative stance are required. We vote for politicians who do our bidding not the other way around and a sense of entitlement at the expense of others is not a consideration. “Keeping our powder dry” for future emergencies is essential; another words a healthy reserve in economic and military might is necessary. We the people are doing none of these things and we make ourselves very vulnerable to our enemies and we are mortgaging our futures on borrowed moneys that we don’t control. It’s time to get our internal house in order. Get back to basics like balanced budgets and fiscal responsibility in our own homes and in government. Secure our borders, throw all the blood-sucking vermin out of the country, bring back the manufacturing base, bring our military home, and restrain our diplomatic efforts to a minimum…we are not the world’s policeman and it just invites more animosity from all the deranged but envious mobs outside our borders. We have to stop the hemorrhaging of all that is dear to this nation starting with ourselves and demanding accountability and restraint from the political office holders. That is a nation of strength; the one we have now is an obese Baby Huey waiting to be knocked over with a feather (one of its own at that).

Tom: Try a little math
Al Qaeda declared war on us in 1993 after the first attempt to destroy the twins.
And, by your own words:

" An allegation that al Qaeda had been considering ways to hijack American planes to win the release of operatives who had been arrested in 1998 and 1999.

• An allegation that bin Laden was set on striking the United States as early as 1997 and through early 2001."

Now, let's see, Bush was inaugurated in January of 2001......

Yep. Seems to me that the ball of which you speak was dropped many, many times before by the slick one himself. All the dates that you speak of were on WJC's watch. It seems silly to me when libs blame Bush for not doing in 8 months what the previous bonehead didn't get to in 8 years! Even after an open declaration of hostile intent.

Relentless Liberal Tide II
Conservatism has taken a body blow, no doubt, but we are not out for the count! You can bet that the liberal left, all flush with “victory”, will overplay their hand in very short order and with hubris typical to their kind (different and inferior species) they will hoist themselves up by their own petards and disgrace themselves royally. Hopefully, they don’t take the Nation down with them!

It might be a dumb stereotype but I didn't make it up. It's all in Limbaugh's article. All I want to know is: is my interpretation accurate? Do conservatives want a Christian government? If so, please explain why non-Christians should not feel threatened by this. If not, please explain what conservative Christians want.

USNbubblehead
You are wasting you time amigo. I've taken the time out MANY TIMES to explain the terrorist planning cycle to libidiots and show them that it all started on Clinton's watch.

Would it make you feel better if someone conceded that Bill Clinton did blameworthy things in his tenure as president? if our law-makers in Washington had one-tenth the guts you have, there wouldn't be a thing to worry about.

Envy is an evil, soul killing mind-set that will suck the life out of an individual as well as a nation.

All liberal policy is founded on envy and victim baiting.

"BWHAHAAHHAAHAHAHA" seems to be a typical lib response to a lot things. Is that because you all went to a public school and therefore don't know how to spell? Or is it simply that thinking up a reasoned reply taxes your gray matter too much?

Your worried about GunnyGs writing style? How sweet and caring.

You should be more worried that he may be right.

Primavolta incapable of the truth
"The economy didn't fail under Clinton."

According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, our economy receded in Q3 of 2000, and then again in Q1 of 2001.

Tell me again when Clinton left office and Bush took over? How many times were you and your ilk screaming "BOOOOOOOSH RECESSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!11ONEONE!!11ELEVEN" back in 2001???

Primavolta
Clinton had a regime change policy for Saddam during his tenure. Clinton in 1995 set the stage for sub prime nonsense by growing Carter's failed socialism.

And Clinton did so much harm to our intelligence community he practically GAVE AQ the keys to the kingdom.

And now liberals are sitting around rewriting history. "It happened under Bush's watch". That is just plain BS.

It's almost like Clinton set Bush up for all this. But Bush made mistakes too, no doubt. Just don't lay blame for everything at his feet, the roots go much deeper than you are willing to dig.

Liberals ZERO FOR THREE
Otto Kerner, a Democrat who was governor from 1961 to 1968, served less than a year of a three-year sentence after his 1973 conviction on bribery, tax evasion and other counts. He was convicted of arranging favorable horse racing dates as governor in return for getting horse racing association stock at reduced prices. Kerner died in 1976.

Dan Walker, a Democrat who was governor from 1973 to 1977, served 1 1/2 years of a seven-year sentence after pleading guilty in 1987 to bank fraud, misapplication of funds and perjury. The charges were not related to his service as governor.

George Ryan, a Republican who was governor from 1999 to 2003, was convicted of corruption in 2006 for steering state contracts and leases to political insiders and helping cover up bribes paid in return for truck drivers licenses while he was secretary of state and then governor. He is serving a 6 1/2-year prison term.

Check THAT out. Three total corrupt lib governors, two who EASY sentences, and the GOP scumbag got hammered!

Illinois justice! haha

tom
I come here to bash liberals with my fellow right-wingers.

I do my best work on my blog, slicing and dicing liberals with my ginzu knife! To wit: 3 out of the 5 "what's hot" are mine.

I'm in the number two slot (should be number ONE IMHO) on the top ten list!

BTW, have you THOUGHT about what I've posted? One, appointing Shrillary as SuckState is in violation of the Constitution, irregardless of who did it before. Two, Obama has EXTENSIVE ties to ACORN, indicted across the nation. Three, REZKO is talking...oops. Four, Blago and company are gonna roll over, it's just a matter of who and when.

As I stated...

I don't see
how opposing state sponsorship of a particular faith constitutes a
"war" on Christians.
Although I'm not an atheist myself (I'm Jewish), I can see how people of other faiths or of no faith at all would prefer that their govt. institutions not make displays that either in fact or symbolically present only one faith (protestant christianity).

I think that it's a fair compromise to say to the government, give anyone who wants it a space, or give no one a space.

I don';t see how that state of affairs is a war on anyone at all.

bubblehead
So you are saying that even though it was President Bush who recieved a report that said:

"BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE INSIDE THE USA"

it should somehow have been acted upon by Slick Willy?

In retrospect and with hindsight should Clinton have went against the FBI and the CIA intelligence advice and taken OBL? Of course.

But the fact of the matter is that it was President Bush who recieved the most critical and postive report per the intent of OBL just prior to 9/11.

Why deny the obvious facts just because you support President Bush?

Primavolta (Troll)
Here are the intractible facts that you and your lame far left friends don't want to admit: Clinton's weakness against Islamic terrorism (e.g.,see USS Cole) was the platform for 911, ditto relative to the Iraq War (allowing Hussein to run wild). Concerning the economy, Clinton's DOJ bullies turned Carter's Community Reinvestment Act into a welfare program of bad loan handouts for inner city folk (no income, no assets, no problem); and Obama, Dodd and Frank aided and abetted Franklin Raines and other Dem appointees in cooking the books to hide the looming subprime mess. Per the usual, you far lefties are clueless on history and logic, but you still rail.

Max Power
Are you saying you don't think the cost of the war in Iraq has anything to do with our current economic crisis? Are you saying that Bush's economic policies, which basically consisted of refusing to provide government oversight, did nothing to get us where we are now?
We have taxpayers financing a war that costs $10B per month and a financial system dependent on increasing amounts of fake money to support its ever-growing self. There is a proven causal relationship between these factors and the present crisis. These conditions were allowed to arise because of a capitalist ideology that says greed is not only good; it can save the world.

On Fitizpatrick
This is the guy who did the Plame non-issue case.

So.

The wheels in my brain housing group are turning and it starts me to wonder WHY did Fitzpatrick END the investigation SO SOON?

Fitzpatrick states that he acted to end a corruption crime "spree." WTF?

After all, HE let the PLAME case drag on and on and on and on and on...

Wonder who he was protecting?

Obama? Jesse Jackson Jr?

Primavolta
Iraq is not what is causing the financial crisis. I know liberals want to throw this on Bush's bill, but the main reason started in the 70's under Carter and his idea that everyone has a RIGHT to a house.

Clinton expanded it in 95 and then when McCain wanted to put the clamps on it in 05 and 06 he was voted down by democrats.

"These conditions were allowed to arise because of a capitalist ideology that says greed is not only good; it can save the world."

Wrong Wrong, Wrong. these conditions arose because of out of control social programs, unions, and corruption in all facets of government. Free Markets and capitalism are still the best on the planet. You just have to get government out of the way.

On 'Getting' Osama Bin Laden

If our attempts to 'get OBL' involve us reacting to a tip that OBL is going to be at such-and-such a plave at such-and-such a time by firing in a bunch of cruise missiles to that place at that time, then no, I don't want to get OBL anymore. We've done that several times, and all we wind up with afterwards is dead peasants. Tell me, how would you explain to a survivor of such an attack, as he tries to scrape up enough of his relatives for a funeral, that what America just did here is all different than what happened to us at 9-11?

Does anybody remember the movie "The Hunted", with Benicio Del Toro and Tommy Lee Jones? Remember how that movie started? If we can 'get OBL' THAT way, I'm all for it. I'm done with blowing up villages where we suspect he may be visiting.

Dr. Chaz
Below is my response to you in ALL CAPS.
Here are the intractible facts that you and your lame far left friends don't want to admit: Clinton's weakness against Islamic terrorism (e.g.,see USS Cole) was the platform for 911
I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS. ARE YOU SAYING THAT 9/11 WAS SOME KIND OF RESPONSE TO THE USS COLE, OR THAT TERRORISTS WERE EMBOLDENED BY CLINTON'S 'WEAKNESS'? THAT IS PURE CONJECTURE. CLINTON WAS NOT PRESIDENT ON 9/11. BUSH WAS.
ditto relative to the Iraq War (allowing Hussein to run wild).
IRAQ WAS A SOVEREIGN COUNTRY. MANY DICTATORS RULE THEIR COUNTRIES MORE CRUELLY THAN SADDAM. WHY DID BUSH & CO. PICK IRAQ AND NOT SIERRA LEONE? I THINK YOU KNOW WHY.
YOU ARE SAYING THAT LOANS TO POOR PEOPLE BROUGHT DOWN OUR ENTIRE CREDIT SYSTEM. THAT SEEMS FAR-FETCHED TO ME. DO YOU HAVE ANY PROOF FOR THIS?
Per the usual, you far lefties are clueless on history and logic, but you still rail.

Max Power
Our out of control social programs of course. Makes sense, given that social services are so extensive and so accessible in this country.

Sacred Cows 'Emboldening' Terrorists

If we really want to trace the roots of this 'emboldening' thing, how about Ronald Reagan's wimpy response to the massacre of US Marines in Lebanon? We come in all Big&Bad, get blown up, and run away whining...

THIS JUST IN!

Iraq War NOT Breaking the Bank

In fact, it’s one of the LEAST expensive conflicts in our nation’s history.

http://www.nationalreview.com/nrof_buzzcharts/buzzcharts200 601230854.asp

This was as of 2006

"Critics of the war in Iraq often complain about the “escalating cost of the war.” Listening to them, you’d never know that the war is one of the least expensive in American history.

"Robert Whaples, professor of economics at Wake Forest University, has measured the cost of each major American war up through the first Gulf War. We took these costs and compared them to the cost of the Iraq war and found that the Iraq experience has consumed a smaller percentage of GDP (just 2 percent of one year’s wealth creation) than every other American war except the first Gulf War (which measured just 1 percent of GDP).

"This stands in stark contrast to the Vietnam experience, which opponents have often attempted to liken to the Iraq war. Vietnam comprised a much heartier 12 percent of GDP at the time. Other conflicts, such as World War II, took a remarkable 130 percent of a year’s GDP to see through to success.

"The work is not done in Iraq, and the financial costs will grow beyond the $251 billion we have spent so far. The real cost, of course, is in human lives, manifested in the debate about whether it is worth losing a few thousand American lives in order to liberate 23 million people. But the data are clear; any attempt to discredit this war based on its effect on the U.S. economy is an unnecessary distraction."

OBVIOUSLY, the mortgage/economic meltdown (thanks to the dems) has been FAR MORE COSTLY!

Exculpating Bush
The following things happened while Bush has been president:
9/11
War in Iraq
Hurricane Katrina
economic crisis
Conservatives cry that liberals want to hold Bush responsible for these events. They protest that it was Carter's fault, or Clinton's fault, or poor people's fault, or Saddam Hussein's fault. But it does not take a big ideological commitment to notice who was president at the time large-scale disasters occurred, and to posit some connection there.

Max Power
Your post #102 was dead on. But you're spitting into the wind because liberals only listen to the clowns like Frank, Dodd, Piglosi, Reid, etc.

Bush's Fault.

Primavolta
You're right Clinton didn't start the war in Iraq. That would be Saddam Hussein when he invaded Kuwait, then flagrantly violated the UN conditions of the cease fire (NOT an armistice or other peace agreement). Don't try to tell me what that was all about: I was there.
But back to 9/11:
What I'm getting from left handed logic is that if I was to run the car out of oil a few times, maybe drove it over some bad roads, and just otherwise neglected and abused it for a few years (maybe a decade it would then be your fault when the engine blew-up a couple of months after YOU started driving it.

US Citizens abduced worldwide

Need I continue?

And as BJ Clinton left office:

Islamic is the key word here.

Not sure what school you attended but I would not recomment it.

Go back and read my post. The "BWHAHAAHHAAHAHAHA" that you said "seems to be a typical lib response" was actually a direct quote from GUNNY and that was what I was referring to Mr. Wiseguy. Do some deep research and look at gunny's post #25 if you can count that high.

It appears the "gray matter" that you mention may be one of your deficiencies per your synechodic like interpretation and comprehension skills. You must feel like a one legged man in an axx-kicking contest.

I realize that acts of global terrorism occurred while Clinton was president. Some of those attacks targeted Americans. However, I think there have been more incidents of terrorism internationally, causing more deaths, during Bush's presidency than Clinton's. You may admire Bush for "doing something" about terrorism, sending a message to the world and such. But Bush's policies have not reduced terrorism worldwide. They have increased it.

Still waiting for you on my blog to refute what I've posted there. You're good at picking fly sh*t out of pepper here but I challenge you to refute my article today, "The Tyranny of the Left."

A little perspective
If you filled up trucks with $7 trillion in cash - the total amount of all the bailouts democrats are in favor of - started driving west and at every mile marker dropped 2 billion dollars out of the trucks, you would be able to drive to Seattle, WA and have 1 trillion dollars left over.

If you did the same thing with the money we've spent on the war in Iraq, you couldn't even make it to Cincinnati, OH.

Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock......It's just a matter of time. ACORN Hopey McChange has been walking through The Sewer of Chicago Politics for YEARS, PLUS he has associated with The BIGGEST TURDS in said sewer. There is NO WAY he got through without getting some SHITE on his socks. Maybe his HOPE is that it will CHANGE! BWHAHAAHHAAHAHAHA!

GunnyG©: Know what you mean! I thought

at first that you were joking.... :-( and I was going to post back... "Not funny!"

But then, it IS Fitzie.... and it IS Ill... we should expect at least that much.

I'm just now hearing that there is a "Flood" of new charges....

Meantime, Bozo is just now saying that we're going to be world leaders in Dufar... Hmmmm???

Actually you seem to be missing the likely true origins of terrorism toward the USA. Just go back a tad further than Slick Willy.

In 1983, President Reagan (against the advice of his Sec. of Defense and the Pentagon who advised not to have Marines stationed in Lebanon) sent our troops into Beirut. He then handcuffed them with ignorant "rules of engagement" restrictions. And then in Oct. of 1983 the barracks attack resulted in the deaths of 241 (mostly Marines) Americans.

Reagan blustered and then "pledged" that we would keep our toops in Lebanon. And then a few months later Reagan did in fact pull our troops out.

Reagan's actions at that time are singularly regarded by many Middle East experts as the defining act that made the terrorists realize they could both hurt and back down the USA. And it has continued ever since.

But thanks for reminding us of that.

Why are liberals so bent out of shape
they keep on hanging on conservatives sites and spewing their hate filled propaganda;. What are they afraid of? They are telling us that they have all their dreams met. Yet they still are bitter. How will they ever reach a point of happiness? They won't, nothing will ever make them happy. They are very miserable people

GAWD! But you are a simpleton and a coward to boot! So what do you suggest Bush do? Bend over and continually take it? Post after post of yours is all simpleton logic and double standards...along with your fellow libtard tom. I just love how liberals demand we see the nuances when a Democrat libtard idiot is in office, but not when a Republican is in office. If you cannot see the ripple effect of past policy decisions then you are blind and can't see the end of your own nose.

You have the logic of a door knob.

MORE BS from another simpleton fool. Have you ever stopped to consider that your fellow leftists praised Reagan for pulling out and correcting what they consider a mistake and pushed Bush to do the same? Why No you haven't, because it is slam Bush at all costs and paint him into a corner in order to always be right, and smear him.

You give new meaning to dishonesty.

Anne,
There is an old saying that figures lie and liars figure. Pretending by comparisons that the cost of the Iraq war is not consequential is a fine example.

But tell me, as a true conservative, if you had available the reported $340,000,000.00 per DAY that the Iraq war is burning...what of our nation's vast myriad of needs would you spend it?

Oh wait, I guess you really couldn't use that money on anything else since Mr. Bush has put the entire cost of the Iraq war on our kids and grandkids credit cards. My bad!

Lolo1: Of course, Pres. Bush gets blamed

for everything.... Part of the BDS syndrome.

Reminds me of the story that went around DC after the Pope was here....

Pres. Bush and the Pope were out on a boat on the Potomac, and the Pope's cap flew off.. Pres. Bush stepped off the boat, and WALKED ON THE WATER to retrieve the Pope's cap.

Headlines in the papers the next day said....

* * * * * * * * "PRES. BUSH CAN'T SWIM!" * * * * * * * *

Chicken Soup for a Socialist Soul
David Limbaugh: "And what do we hear from many conservatives?

That we should be encouraged that President-elect Obama has announced certain key centrist appointees and that we should convince ourselves this means he will not pursue the agenda he plainly tells us he will pursue. Savvy liberals must be laughing themselves silly."

For me, this point is another frightening reminder that Obama is the slick, sinister socialist I fear him to be. With one hand he makes appointments designed to lull the general public into thinking that nothing is really changing. With his other hand, he offers bailouts for automakers which have strings--nay, chains--attached, in which HIS gov't mandates the product.

Well, Mr. Limbaugh has rendered his points beautifully and it is hard to add anything. I just love him.

Breaking News from the future!
1/20/2009
WASHINGTON, DC - Barack Obama takes the oath of office today as the nations first African-American president, but the celebration will be one of the shortest in history.

After being indicted on racketeering charges related to convicted felon Tony Rezco's illegal real estate dealings, the United States House of Representatives is set to vote on impeachment charges for Barack Obama.

"I find it very disturbing that a president of the United States would participate in such corrupt land dealings," said Senator Hillary Clinton and Obama's pick for Secretar of State. "I commend the House of Representatives for their swift actions to bring justice in this case," she continued.

It is expected that the vote for impeachment to pass by a healthy margin.

In related news, Vice President-elect Joe Biden has stated that if Obama were to be removed from office following his impeachment, his choice for Vice President would be Senator Hillary Clinton.

Are you saying you disagree with my point that Bush's policies have not reduced terrorism worldwide?

HEY LIBS
Anyone tell me where I can purchase a Senate seat?

This affair reminds me of the Steppenwolf song that has the lyrics,

"It sure must be fun
to watch a president run,
just ask the man that
owns one."

What say ye Soros? Is it fun pulling Obama's strings?

I wonder if Rahm Emanuel can help me find a senate seat for sale.

tom: That was TRULY a stupid statement

and question!!!

I never said the war was NOT consequential, nor did I say that we should not have liberated Iraq.

What I DID, was help put it in PERSPECTIVE, and that meant that it has been the least expensive war so, and that it was a very small part of the GDP!

Would I spend it??? How about you read Norris' column... "A Christmas Letter From the Front Lines in Iraq"

That might help answer your stupid question...

Trivia question for Privavolta:
While, on average, terrorists attacks by Muslim extremists were carried out successfully on the United States and her interests about every 14 months during the Clinton administration, when was the last successful terrorist attack on the United States and her interests carried out by Muslim extremists to date?

Gunny, Gunny, Gunny... ONLY the seats on

the LEFT side of the aisle are for sale...

Sorry! :-(

You can't go there... You'd last .01 seconds before somebody else got hurt! he he he he he

"The Moro Islamic Liberation Front was likely responsible."

Uh.....their acronym is MILF????

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

You got that right! haha. The first time some libsquirt got mouthy, he get caned like that Southern gent did to the union weasel. CLASSIC!

Plus, I'd have to be around Dingy Harry, Hanoi John, and Turbin Durbin to name a few. Scummy traitors.

NOW do you know why I ignore Prima???
.

Anne
It's not a syndrome. It's called connecting the dots. If Joe moves in with me and my stuff starts missing, I start suspecting maybe Joe stole it. If Joe becomes president and all hell breaks loose, it's normal to suspect that Joe has something to do with it. It's not just coincidence. What's really weird is how conservatives can keep defending Bush after all this. Why can't you just admit that you got taken for a ride? Tom is right. The war in Iraq has been staggeringly expensive. You and your progeny still have to pay for it, whether or not you acknowledge it.

Primavolta
Let me put it to you this. Having LIVED through the Clinton years, 6 out of 8 overseas, yes I disagree with your statement that terrorism under Clinton was less. It's all in the link I posted so don't take my word for it.

Terrorists start small and work up. Clinton let them get going. Obama will allow them to Nuke Up. Then we'll see WHO is better for national security and it won't be your party.

Christians!
My Pastor (who believes the Bible is God's word) said I quote, "You can be a Christian and be in either Party"

I have to believe that if a person truly believes they will honor God with their vote. Would Jesus have voted for an abortion supporter?

I'm sure there are Democrats that do not think abortion is right but what is more important than protecting another person who is created in the image of God and is loved by God. Nothing else comes close.

If our hearts have been hardened to the point that we do not care about the murder of living babies before they are born, we have no hope.

Is socialism good? There is no good in socialism. It is inefficient, destroys character, and condones stealing and takes away our God-given freedom. Look at
