What the Obama Cult Factor Portends

Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

The cult mystique of Barack Obama continues while his fawning supporters blindly accept every move he makes, proving their support for him in the general election was not based as much on policy as personality. This could play right into Obama's hands if, as I believe, he does have major change on his mind.

From a policy standpoint, Obama's campaign was fueled -- initially, at least -- by his unequivocal stance against the Iraq war. He was the only credible candidate (excluding such buffoons as Dennis Kucinich) who maintained from the outset that he opposed the war.

Apart from his charisma and superior organizational operation, especially in the caucus states, his opposition to the war might have been the single most important factor contributing to his defeat of Hillary Clinton. Clinton, thinking she was the inevitable nominee, presumably believed she could sporadically assume the role of hawk with impunity looking to the general election. By the time Hillary was done posturing back and forth on the war, no one could be sure what her position really was, other than that she would say what she needed to say, consistency be damned, to best preserve her presidential viability.

Obama shrewdly capitalized on Hillary's ambivalence, parlaying his opposition to the war to his maximum advantage. Given the nation's Bush fatigue -- no matter how unjustified from a broad historical perspective -- and Bush's very low approval ratings, it only made sense for Democratic presidential aspirants to make themselves the anti-Bush.

Because the Iraq war was perceived as Bush's greatest sin and almost all other sins flowed from Iraq or were somehow conflated with it -- Abu Ghraib, rendition, waterboarding, "unilateralism," NSA surveillance, Halliburton, Gitmo, etc. -- Obama was uniquely positioned to be the anti-Bush.

Obama seized on all this specifically -- condemning the entire laundry list of "sins" and expressly promising to reverse the whole lot of them, beginning with Iraq. As an added bonus, he was also the anti-Bush in terms of personality. He was smooth, articulate, calm (the anti-cowboy) and possessed the trappings of intellectualism and elitism.

Obama also assured us that he would put an end to the alleged inequities of Bush's tax policy, which was falsely billed as skewed toward the wealthy and against the sainted "middle class." And, like most Democrats of the modern era, Obama pretended he could pull off the magic trick of balancing the budget while punitively taxing the producers and increasing spending on every imaginable item on the Democratic welfare wish list.

Liberals complained when conservatives invoked Obama's alliances with unsavory characters and demanded we focus on policy. But when we tried to pin Obama down on how he could balance the budget while stifling growth and increasing spending exponentially or how he could avoid the disastrous consequences of a precipitous withdrawal of our troops from Iraq -- we got nothing but media-enabled stonewalling.

Although Obama certainly articulated policies that were contrary to the status quo under President Bush, many of his supporters didn't care or weren't the slightest bit informed about the specifics of his policies. They were just swept up in his personality cult and nebulous promises of hope and change.

So it should be no surprise that Obama's series of head-spinning reversals so far have been met not with outrage from his supporters (fringe leftists excepted), but with glib rationalizations.

His newfound vacillation about Gitmo and NSA surveillance, his flip-flop on withdrawing from Iraq in 16 months, and his announced Cabinet appointments -- particularly Gates and Clinton -- are not being criticized as betrayals, but lauded as evidence that he is open-minded, adaptable, wise and, of course, presidential.

He's facing nary a shred of accountability for his anticipatory breaches of campaign promises. His flock is just happy that he will be implementing these policies -- not President Bush.

All of this says so many things about our electorate and the coming climate for the Obama presidency, but I'll just leave you with two quick ones. First, it shows that most of the hatred for Bush was not based on his policies, but on the eight-year hate-filled propaganda campaign against him.

It also shows that there's no telling what Obama might be able to get away with in office, especially now that he has the cover of a few "moderate" appointments.

There's a method to Obama's madness of continuing Bush's policies that are designed to bring the war to a peaceful and honorable conclusion, even if Obama is revealing his campaign deceit in the process. This will help create the climate for him to usher in his radical domestic agenda, from a new New Deal -- on steroids -- to nationalized health care to the Fairness Doctrine.

Conservatives and moderates better snap out of their complacency, and the grass roots better gear up for war, or this whirlwind will come and go before we know what hit us.

Obama is duplicitious
and he was glaringly so during the campaign. He will continue to say one thing and do whatever is politically expedient being the total political animal that he is.

Only the far left will wail over Obama's 180's, while the rest of the "progressives" will continue to worship and adore him and excuse him no matter what he does.

The ever faithful press will provide perfect cover for him as they are just as invested in this Obama cult of personality as the rest of the believers.

Obama has sold himself and the sheeple have bought him, hook, line and sinker. But Obama is not what he appears to be. Too bad the electorate was suckered and they will deserve what they get.

What would McCain have done different?
I cannot see what Sen. McCain would have done any different than the President-elect during the transition.

In fact, I could see Sen. McCain appointing the exact same cabinet members and advisers, being the "bi-partisan," "maverick" he is. Perhaps Lieberman had a post earmarked (but what's the difference between a Lieberman and a Clinton, anyway?).

Did it make a difference whether a Republican or Democrat was elected in 2008?

Hypocrites
It is actually hilarious watching libs defending Obama and "his" policies, when just 2-3 months ago they were blasting Bush for the very same policies. Idiots, one and all.

Hopey McChange The Antichrist
This personality cult is only an outrider. Be prepared for the day you are herded before the statue by the False Prophet Wright, who has risen from beneath the bus to proclaim YOUARACIST! the new motto of the USA ... and think now what you will do on that day.

It is still STUNNING just HOW and WHY

people were seduced into voting for this Marxist.

Limbaugh is right about... "Obama's cult mystique... fawning supporters blindly accept every move he makes... support for him... was not based as much on policy as personality."
it was OBVIOUS that he was a Marxist, and the only real question was if he was actually a card carrying Marxist.

The real problem was that Obama played the race card and pandered to those who were ill or uninformed, and it worked!

Geraldine Farraro was absolutely right when she said, during the primary process, that Obama would NEVER had gotten that far had he been white.

I submit that most of the people who voted for Obama would have also voted for Edi Amine because he is black.

We now know for sure that most of the Obama followers had NO CLUE WHAT SO EVER what the man's agenda was or is. Ziegler and Zogby have pretty much proven that! And we also know that no one really has a clue as WHO Obama is.

And now we also know... about 99% positive, that the birth cert. that Obama posted on his web site was bogus.... a forgery!

"'Certification' of birth presented by the Obama campaign is, without a doubt, a forgery' states Ron Polarik, who holds a Ph.D. in instructional media specializing in computer technology such as printers, scanners and digital imaging..."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDIVEfVGLBQ&eurl=http://obam acrimes.com/&feature=player_embedded

NOW we have to wait and see if the US Supreme Court will decide to hear the case and demand that Obama provide a valid birth cert and prove that he is indeed eligible to be POTUS, or declare this election null and void.

Anne, excellant post
I liked McCain's remark about defining obama's policies being akin to nailing Jello to a wall.
No-one has a clue as to who this clown is for sure and what he will do if allowed, but he IS a marxist, of that I am sure. His associations and his rhetoric mark him.

I believe the SC will punt on his viability, I hope not, but they may look down the road to what will happen if it is proven he is a fraud. How many cities can we afford to see burn if this election is overturned?

Of course, that would provide a lot of jobs as well.

A certificate of live birth means nothing, it could prove he was born on the moon, if he has nothing to hide, why not open the books and prove he was born in the USA?

We the people, have a right to know!
I have a lawyer buddy who says throwing the Berg case out for "lack of standing" is a crock, the man is a citizen, that's standing enough...it stinks.

He Frightens Me!
I first began to fear Obama from that faux classic set for his acceptance speech at Denver. The fear intensified in the hitleresque (not a typo, that demon does not deserve the honor of capitalization) nature of both his speech and the venue on election night. My fear continues to increase with each passing day as America fades and the "obamanation" spreads its dark tentacles toward January 20, 2009.

Limbaugh is absolutely right. We have much to fear from this man.

I shuddered as he introduced his "national security team," not so much at his selections (which could only be described as "The Day of the Living Brain-dead"), but at his introductory remarks.

He spoke in loftily of "global outreach" and other high terms. But not once, in his comments on national security, did he utter the words "freedom" or "liberty." Of course, as I think of it, I've never heard any democrat use those words. Neither is in their vocabulary. Not only are they not in Obama's vocabulary, they have no place in his soul.

As much as I fear Obama, I also fear for his safety. I pray daily that God protect him, because the only thing more fearful than a living Obama is a martyred one.

Obama is Bush
I'm just seeing a repeat of what Bush pulled in 2000. He got in on a platform of non-interventioninsm and shrinking the government. He turns 180, goes all out socialist and nation building. Obama promises extremes, and goes 180 and copies Bush.

Why are we so foolish as to believe politicians time and time again?

The "cult of personality" . . .
is alive and well. With all the "swooning" and deference to the "messiah" obama's "presidency" can be compared to that of Kim Il Jung or chairman Mao Tse Tung.
It will be interesting to see how the main stream media, obama water carriers and fellow travelers react when obama's "world view" breaking down of AMERICAN traditions and systems is implemented. Since obama considers our Constitution a "flawed document" he will be free to ignore it. This seems to be a characteristic of democRAT types. One has to look at the clintons with bill stating that he would "bend" the Constitution when it suited him.

(very) CAUTIOUSLY optimistic
I think it is possible to be cautiously optimistic that President Obama will govern from the center and not the left.

I am absolutely a fiscal conservative, and a Reagan conservative in all but such issues generally favored by many of same such as the reversal of a woman's right to choose, so needless to say, Obama makes me a bit nervous, especially in the potential for a massive expansion of government and redistribution of wealth that would only worsen the economy.

Despite this, I no longer found myself able to support McCain once he chose Palin as a running mate; I certainly had supported him up to this point and would have voted for him if he had made a choice for veep I could have lived with, given his advanced age making it likely that whomever he picked to run with would in fact end up as President.

I made a choice not between McCain and Obama, where the choice was, for me, clear, but between Obama and Palin, where the choice was equally clear, albeit one of not choosing the candidate I preferred but merely the lesser of two evils.

With that choice having been made, however, I find myself very much wanting to be, as I said, CAUTIOUSLY optimistic.

This is comical. A
racist and an anti-American radical who befriends terrorists was elected POTUS (the SCOTUS, God willing, will correct that), and nearly everyone who saw the danger of that beforehand, is now "moderately" happy for him and wishing him well. He'll be a centrist? Based on a few cover appointees? This country has PC'd, MTV'd and ESPN'd itself to near death.

"He'll be a centrist?
Based on a few cover appointees?"

Its just cover to govern from the left I hope.

Justin - Good Points
I heard that said yesterday that Obama is more like Bush.

Other than the possible "abortion on demand" and "government run health care" - he will be more like Bush than anyone else.

To the person who said they were a fiscal conservative - Reagan Conservative. You say that you supported McCain until he chose Palin. Palin is much more like Reagan than McCain will ever be. McCain is a moderate and has more liberal views. My support for him was lukewarm UNTIL he chose Sarah Palin as his running mate. Sarah speaks the truth and would not be a candidate to change (i.e. Obama) once she wins.

(very) CAUTIOUSLY optimistic Reply
VeritasX - How could you possibly call yourself a Reagan conservative and think that Obama was more qualified than Gov. Palin? He has done nothing resembling leadership as opposed to Governor Palin who runs a state and has worked her way up to her present position. If you look at records governor Palin was more qualified than any of the candidates if you look at actual acomplishments. Obviously you listened to the spinners who are afraid of people like Governor Palin. Don't waste our time trying to justify the fact that you were fooled by smooth talking. Next time put some thought into your choice.

For the third time...
For the third time in my life-time, we have chosen an intelligent, eloquent but untested conman as our leader of the “Free World” (Jimmy Carter was the first, Bill Clinton the second). “The obvious apprehension is that the anointed one is a stranger—a deeply engaging, elegant, brilliant but flawed stranger with whom we had a sweltering affair. Once we wake up, we will see the ring and wonder who exactly we married last night.” If President Obama is able to parley Congress to get what he has promised (taking from Peter and giving it to Paul; you will always get Paul’s vote), this wake-up-call may come to late to save America. We made the mistake of giving him the ring on November 4th. We were so disposed in doing so, only time will tell if we will live to regret it. Nov. 4th, 2008 will become known as “Judgment Day”.

The collective judgment displayed by the majority of the voters on Nov. 4th, 2008 is very disturbing. Obama reminds me of others throughout history, with their ability to so quietly and enchantingly say one thing, mean and do another; and people will shake their heads in approval of the very things they oppose. What is amazing is they believe they have agreed with him. The results of this election provide proof that people can be hypnotized to the degree that they not know what they are doing. What is very scary is that history has also proven repeatedly; that those willing to agree without questioning become hypnotized and are the first to die by the millions.

This election has set the course of this nation for the next two or three decades and possibly forever. I fear that the voting public does not really understand the choice they just made. My hope was that voters would choose the more difficult path of liberty and limited government; so that the American dream and culture for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness would once again triumph and flourish.

How can he get away with such hypocrisy?
simple -hypocrisy is a badge of honor among liberals -immutable truth doesn't exist for liberals. It floats with their statements and therefore can never be in contradiction with reality. Reality is whatever they say it is at the moment. Sound rediculous? Not for the millions of non-principled people that love to be lied to and told what they want to hear is reality. Kool-aid? why bother disguising it. Just tell them that drinking poison will make the world better and gulp gulp it's gone.
democracy was an antiquated idea that worked until selfishness envy and licentiousness were brought into legitimacy by liberalism.

Seawolf #7:You are absolutely right! "We

the people, have a right to know!" And a right to know without a shadow of a doubt!!!

I have yet to talk to ANY LAWYER who hasn't said the same thing either..."throwing the Berg case out for 'lack of standing' is a crock, the man is a citizen, that's standing enough...it stinks."

But, here's the thing... perhaps the PA Superior Court judge (I don't recall his name) dismissed Berg's petition on "lack of standing" just to get it out of his court. This is one very hot potato... and quite frankly, were I a judge, I wouldn't want THIS CASE in my court!!!

I'd want it taken to the US Supreme Court where it belongs!!!

However, to dismiss the cast on "lack of standing" is totally different from dismissing the case on "lack of MERIT!"

And, he could have dismissed it all together when Obama's henchmen filed for dismissal...

Never-the-less, IF the US Supreme Court decides NOT to hear the case (decision today!) and/or they ultimately decide that Obama does NOT have to provide PROOF (a vault copy of his birth cert.,) they will have put a stake in the very heart of our beloved Constitution.

Walter, thank you, I could not have
said it better! I wonder if koolaid stock is through the roof (it would be about the only one!) as the obamimaniacs have clearly drunken enough to fill an ocean or 2.

NEWSFLASH this just in

Millions of Barack Obama Worshipers will Pilgrimage to Kiumu Kenya, Africa, to celebrate the birth and birthplace of Obama-Messiah, Aug 4, 2009.

Pilgrims from all over the world will participate in the celebration at the birthplace of Barack Obama on that date.

Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright and Dr James Cone, are expected to bring gifts to the celebration.

Astronomers are predicting a special star to light up the heavens the night of August 4.

Anne-Seawolf
More and More, I see shadows & hear echoes of Jimmy Carter in ACORN Hopey McChange. After Nixon’s BLATANT Lies and Ford’s Pardon of Nixon, Jimmy Carter SEWED UP the Nomination AND The Election when he PROMISED to “never tell a lie.”

Just be PATIENT! The LONGER that ACORN Hopey McChange is in power, the more he will screw up & alienate his followers and The BIGGER the BACKLASH will be.

Predictions
Predictions: 5 Nov 08.
My 10 predictions in the next four years: 1) Iran will acquire nuclear weapons. 2) North Korea will be partially appeased by capitulating to its demands and providing huge amounts of aid at taxpayers’ expense. 3) The economy will not bounce back for four years, three if hope for a GOP win in 2012 looks do-able. 4) Iraq will disintegrate into chaos after we prematurely pull-out. 5) Afghanistan becomes a hopeless mission and Bin Laden dies of old age, is not caught, or he moves in the White House’s Lincoln bedroom. 6) Africa, especially Kenya, will be recipients of huge amounts of aid at U.S. taxpayers’ expense. 7) At least two ultra liberal Supreme Court judges will be named with disastrous long-term consequences to the Constitution and its precepts. 8) Welfare of every kind and imaginable by perverse leftist minds will be rampant. 9) Taxes will be the highest in our history. 10) Despite fawning MSM and obsessive image fabrication, the pretender will be ignobly voted out of office in 2012. For an 11th, I would say it will take at least eight years to undo the damage done but maybe a large part will be irreversible. For a twelfth: Publicly, the international community will laud the pretender for his “brilliant diplomacy”. Privately, they will gloat, snicker, laugh, and point at the gullible buffoon in the White House and the greatly reduced influence of the U.S. on the world’s stage.
I could go on with vastly negative effects on rights-to-life and all the ethical and moral issues which will be violated to the extreme but I rather not inflame the rhetoric to the point of citizens mobilizing to remove the pretender by force.

Cult Mentality
Barack Hussein Obama cultists who knew better, such as the MSM,used and abused the poor uninformed worshippers to get 'the messiah'elected.

He let it be know that ANY negative word could be construed as racist. Therefore, the 'white guilt' crowd steered away from that.

We should know every aspect of his public life and most of his private life. What kind of underwear he wears is irrelevant. What kind of cigarettes he smokes is,only because smoking is a no-no to the 'elites'.

Why the GOP lost
Idiots like the Limbaughs are the reason the GOP nominated a loser like McCain. This Limbaugh says that Obama was the only credible candidate to oppose the war.

The GOP had a candidate who opposed the war. He was also the ONLY candidate to have any sort of economic credibility in the race, But people like Rush & David Limbaugh either attacked his credibility or ignored him all together. It was said that one could tell where Ron Paul finished in any primary because that is where the press would stop reporting.

The GOP had an anti-war candidate with strong conservative credentials. Ron Paul was socially conservative, fiscally conservative, strong on foreign policy, stronger than ANYONE on economic policy, and popular with the youth. He could have beat Obama hands down.

But he was torpedoed by the GOP establishment & the GOP media -- headed by the two Limbaughs.

Obama's legacy
It can be a good thing for people to back their president, if he acts reasonably. We'll need to see about that. I suspect we will be paying for Obama's legacy long after he leaves office - like LBJ and Carter.

Let's pray
The Republicans have a miracle, in the next two years, I know it's a long shot turing linguini into solid back bones but nothing's impossible.

I'm of the opinion that the obamabots that voted just because of his race at least the half that matters only to them, the victimized descendents of the truly victimized slaves, will be no shows in the Congressional elections.
Most of them never bothered to vote in any other general elections, race is the only thing that motivated them this round and I doubt ACORN will be as successful in raising the dead all over the country in 2010. The cultists got what they wanted, a perceived black president,
who hasn't a clue regarding what being a black person in this country is about, only what he's heard from Wright and his commie mentors. He was raised in his formative years in a foreign country. He was never taught to appreciated the exceptionalism of being an American citizen or America. but all they saw was his melanin, and that includes the guilty whites. My belief is that if there are whites out there who are guilty, it's because they are latent racists and it's a way of atoning for their bigotry, trying to prove something to themselves.

DISHEARTENING
Now we know that the uninformed and the clueless will sway any election they want to, it is truly frightening. Why? Because the uninformed and the clueless will keep reproducing themselves and Immigration insists on allowing more millions of uninformed and clueless into our country. Our dropout rate is what? 50%? Worse than frightening. Our gangbangers are presumably all dropouts. They are the New Barbarians who are destroying our country from within. Destroying our cities and our schools. But no one wants to state the obvious because it's not PC.

Pray we must
White guilt, racism, media bias, and an economy from hell. Obama change was his campaign

Carbon constrained world ahead
Thank you so much for writing, the last paragraph in particular. This is not the old sandbox we used to play in anymore.

After Obama met with the governors of the states, the Gov of Oregon, my southern neighbor, announced the action Oregon needs to take to respond to the economic downturn. They want to focus on

education
the infrastructure
alternative energy
mass transit

We are one crisis away from government employment for most. Here it comes: mass transit, whether you want it or not; public school, like it or not; gov't rationed alternative energy, like it or not; and of course health care from the gov't.

I do not want anything from the gov't, EVER. And I esp. do not want one of their idiotic jobs.

I think Davie Crockett said, "Well you can all go to [blank], I'm going to Texas!"

The American Dictator
After many years of ideological indoctrination in colleges and universities, the fruits of this brainwashing leftist machine saw its results in the election of Barack Hussein Obama.
Marxist professors engaged in an aggressive communist propaganda portraying US as an imperialist nation hunger of exploitation and world supremacy. Anti-american agitators, A.K.A. professors, attacked the very foundation of American Revolution, its ideals, its religious foundation, and its constitution.
Eventually and gradually, Americans graduated from these fabrics of mind control and historical revisionism, felt ashamed of being called Americans. White Americans in particular believed the false claim that they are guilty (guilty white) of everything: racism, genocide, exploitation, bigotry, and class privileged.
Historical American icons like George Washington were accused of racism and exploitation. The code word WASP (White Anglo Saxon Protestant) was the key word for everything that is evil in America.

Ironically, other characters like Che Guevara, Castro, Mao-Tse Tung, Lennin, and Marx became the source of inspiration for a new generation of young Americans. These Americans rejected their own heritage and adopted foreign personalities who literally persecuted, tortured, and killed their own people.

Blinded by a religious fanaticism they wanted a leader that put to work their Marxist utopia. Someone who believes that America is not better than any other country. Someone who believes that our Constitution is the product of slaveholders, racist and xenophobic white men. Someone who believes that social change must come from an economical model where everybody gets his or her “fair” share.

In 50 years of continuing brainwashing, American people got convinced that American is really evil. It is in this social and political phenomenon that Barack Hussein Obama enters the scene and became the Marxist “Messiah,” or as the racist Ophra said, the “One.”

Birth certificate not Obamas
...only problem. I believe this information, http://www.debbieschlussel.com/archives/2008/11/exclusive_ did_n.html
could be the evidence that either forces the One to actually produce a valid birth certificate or it validates the claim many are making regarding Him not meeting the constitutional requirements to be president.

I have heard several reporters basically make the comment that it doesn't matter if He meets the requirements because the voters have spoken and THEY feel He meets the requirements so the issue is mute.

What goes around-comes around. For the last 7 years most of the people who post on these boards have defended Bush and his policies that violate what Bush considers "...just a g_d d_mn piece of paper." Now that a Marxist will be in control, all of a sudden they (rightly) claim the constitution should be followed.

The first para...
...is a textbook definition of "cult" as practiced by right wing fanatics who have succumbed to the Bush-Rove sect.
Thank you.

WILL IRAN TURN IRAQ INTO OBAMA'S VIETNAM
The problem for Obama and the democrats with Iraq is that the security gains have less to do with the surge than Iran's change of policy to scale down the violence as the best way to expedite our withdrawal from that country so they can fill the vacuum. Proof of this was the house arrest of al Sadr last spring by Iran when he urged his militia in Basra to resist Iraqi security forces who came to disarm them. If they so desire the mullahs can turn on the violence big time in Iraq and create a nightmare for Obama of presurge proportions. As predictions by the Left that Iraq would be Bush's Vietnam have not materialized, due to the Anbar Awakening, Iran's change of policy and Patraeus's counterinsurgency strategies, it could very well become a Vietnam debacle for Obama and the Left with a change of policy by Tehran.

Truth
"immutable truth doesn't exist for liberals"

It doesn't exist for mathematicians either. Kurt Goedel proved it and Turing expanded on it.

There are problems that cannot be solved.

Now one can make a decision. There is no way to be sure by logic that the decision is correct.

Now liberals are rather slippery in that they assume all problems are like that. But still.

Corbett #25
The GOP did not nominate McCain. That was done by demoncrats and indis cross voting in states with open primaries. They had already done this before GOP voters had a chance to vote for a better candidate.

Patrick #29: Obama helped cause the economy from hell:

Did you hear Obama say that he intends to shut down the coal industry? He presented it as just stopping new coal-fired power plants from being built. There is a lot more to coal than that. This move will shut down the iron and steel industries and every industry that uses iron and steel.
Coal is used to make iron ore into iron the metal.
Coal is used to heat pig iron to form it.
Coal is roasted to make it into coke.
Coke is used to convert iron the metal into steel the metal.
Coal is used to form steel ingots into shapes like I-beams.
Steel is made into parts like nuts and bolts and angles, rebars, etc.
Reinforcing bars are needed for reinforced concrete.
Steel parts are made into machines such as lathes, harvesters, etc.
Shutting down coal would put us into the status from before fire was discovered. Fire causes carbon.
When these industries go out of business, they will no longer pay the many taxes they now pay, nor the employees’ income taxes, nor the new taxes that put them out of business.

Political Hypocrisy Part 2
Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29

Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..." Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition o f democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message. If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

Political Hypocrisy Part 1
How Long Do We Have?

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government."

"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury."

"From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years"

"During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. from bondage to spiritual faith;

2. from spiritual faith to great courage;

3. from courage to liberty;

4. from liberty to abundance;

5. from abundance to complacency;

6. from complacency to apathy;

7. from apathy to dependence;

8. from dependence back into bondage"

Rebound Choices
The American voters are not unlike the person burned by a soured relationship. They tend to jump into a rebound relationship with both feet, completely unaware of this new infatuation's shortfalls and potential dangers.
Sadly, it is only when it's too late do they discover the many costs of this error in judgement as they find themselves, once again, beaten down and soured by that in which they had placed all their once lost hope.
Fed by media hype and fawning, the voters turned out enmass to bring this untested young Marxist to the highest office in the world.
The epiphany shall come, albeit far to late to repair the forthcoming damage to our culture and security.

"saintly" not "sainted"
Use of the latter subject word implies that the middle class is dead. Not yet.

wrong premise bad conclusion
GIGO ... that means garbage. At every step within the article you take positions that are debatable based on clear minded observations. And from them come slippery conclusions that are really opinions. I am not going to address all of the assumption, only these two.
1 - Katrina - shameless inaction. Will never be forgotten. I am not refering to the hapless few thousand who volunteered to remain, that is on them. But the ever lurking conclusion that haunts is - This could happen to me, us, anywhere, anyone in the country. As he rushed to New York after 9/11 he stayed away from LA not just in body but in fact. The devastation remains. So say the conservatives, so say we all. Bad choice -but wasnt even mentioned during the campaign.
2 - Two terms of watch over the country and didnt or wouldnt see financial ruin coming.
I dont want to hear about the Dems and such hooy. The buck stops there. I know it, ya'll know it. Two days ago he admitted that this mess was his greatest regret. So say the conservatives, so say we all.

Looking at the financial reports
coming in which reveal how much Obama raised, and how he fraudently used the internet to allow contributers to donate more then is allowed and which also allowed anonymous contributers from abroad, convinces me Obama is not only unethical as well as that this election was BOUGHT. Obama overwhelmed the McCain campaign with spending. All of which shows how shallow is the public who made decisions from one minute ads and a half hour infomercial which was really a collection of his one minute ads.

loco
So.. where did the money go? Went to advertising. Givent that the media is liberal do you you suppose that there are so many of them, now walking around rich with campaign money that they voted only for Obama? What nonsense! At every step of the way the issues were out there for the people to judge who had the stuff. Fact is that the conservatives gave up on Mccain and left him swinging in the breeze. Didnt see Limbaugh come out for him. Didnt see the old guard raise much money. How did it happen that the Republican party had less $$ than the Dems this time. Answer - saving it for next time. A good question would be - where did the money go that the Republican Party has raised these last seven years?

I think
O probably destroyed his birth certificate when he went to Hawaii since he mentions having seen it in one of his books. There is no logic to him refusing to allow a Hawaiian birth certificate to be released unless he has some sort of need to taunt folks.

How could the issues be 'out there'No$
if now the election is over even the left doesn't know what Obama will do??? His positions changed during the election and now he has approved some of Bush's administrators and the rest are all Clinton retreads. Where is the "change" that was out there? What are the positions his choices reflect that echo his campaign promises?

The very liberal use of campaign ads supposedly putting in depth issues "out there" boggles the mind. People made up their minds on superficial sound clips played over and over and over. That where the money went. When will be middle class tax cuts for 95% of the voters come? When will the tax increases for the rich come to finance the cuts and for universal health care come? When is he pulling out the troops in Iraq...like tomorrow? When does he tax the oil companies for excess profits ...also to be used for his proposals as indicated by his many many ads?

loco - how should I know?
When? X 6 + in 45 days = after the inauguration.
I'm sure that your list of 'whens' is rhetorical.
My take is not 'when', but how will we know. Just like any other politician - says one thing yesterday, does something else tomorrow.
Anyway, how is it that you are so sure what 'peoples' thought or what information was available influential to them. Right at the time of the election it was 50/50 party split. The Independents (undecideds) made up the winning difference. 6% I think.
Why are asking when he will bring home the troops? Dont you see the news conferences? Dont you know that Obama has no power to effect policy yet? Dont you know who is still President? I wonder on what basis you made your vote if you are asking questions like these and actually expecting an answer today.

AFRICA NOSTALGIA
For those blacks who complain bitterly about this country, and being dragged here into slavery in remote history, consider the alternative. If your people had stayed in Africa, you now could be struggling with AIDS, drought, famine, malnutrition, and worst of all, GENOCIDE. So is living in the U.S. really all that bad, after all? Think about it and get back with me.

$No
Rehtorical questions yes, but given his flip flops throughout the campaign, we all ask these questions to determine if his course will be true to his one minute ads or did he say anything to get elected. Those questions are out there as a measurement of what is to come. Along with with right and left, I am wondering since no one knows who he is. Strange to be wondering after so many voted for him. The question lingers...why were so many sucked in by tremendous vague ads and hope? If he hadn't the money and the MSM would he be president?

Voters for Obama uneducated, immature
I LOVE our American Constitutional Republic, with God-given Rights (unselfish, responsible freedoms) and the minimal Government that our Founders gave us. I feel a protective kind of love for it. As John Adams said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

In other words, selfish, dishonest, immoral, lazy people can’t be governed by it; they need bigger more expensive (socialistic) Government with more laws.

All of our Founders had strong Bible-based convictions (they weren't atheists, pagans, muslims, socialists or communists). Even though they were all "Christians" in the Protestant sense, and their Bible quotes reveal this, they wrote our Constitution very discretely so it could not be used to support a particular religion.

But, non-believers can read our Constitution without feeling (and even denying) the same depth of conviction that our Founders had, and it is therefore easy for dishonest, uneducated people to take its statements out of context.

I honestly believe that our American Constitution was inspired by God. The Ten Commandments are the Foundation of our Laws (much higher than European standards) and are just as important for the foundation of the best secular government in the world, as the New Testament (Acts 2:38-47) is for guiding us into "the Kingdom of God" - highest quality of life possible to live on earth, while preparing to spend eternity with our Creator.

I encourage you to read Peter Marshall’s books “The Light and the Glory” and “From Sea to Shining Sea.” These contain hundreds of actual Bible-based quotes from our Settler’s journals and news paper articles, from Columbus to the 19th century, and will enable you to understand and appreciate the true spiritual context of our Constitution.
