Poll
Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

Democrats seemed determined to convert their sunny 2008 forecast into a perfect storm, which only can be diverted if either the approaching Obama front or Clinton front dissipates soon or changes directions to join forces with the other via the proverbial "dream ticket."

Until Pastor Wright managed to become Obama's potentially career-shattering albatross, Obama looked unstoppable, indeed superhuman. But as has happened repeatedly in this campaign, Hillary's persistence was rewarded -- briefly, anyway. Obama's long and close association with the incendiary pastor undercut his perceived ability to rise above both race and party.

With the passage of a little time, though, Obama appears to have recovered. Or are his rising poll numbers merely a result of Hillary's umpteenth gratuitous tall tale?

It's hard to imagine that Obama's 52 to 42 percent national lead among Democrats, his narrowing of the superdelegate gap, and his lopsided acquisition of endorsements since Super Tuesday (64 to nine) are the result solely of Hillary's fraudulent assertion of sniper-tested heroism.

It's more likely that concerns about Obama's association with Wright have diminished with the cessation of a 24/7 news cycle devoted to it. The mainstream media's reversion to Obama adoration following his dreamy post-Wright lecture on race in America hasn't hurt him, either.

That said, if Hillary wasn't deterred before -- when her prospects looked even worse -- why would she be now? She has to believe -- along with many, many others -- that the Wright story has legs.

But the dirty little secret is that the Democratic left, which wields enormous power in the party, probably isn't much troubled by Pastor Wright's anti-American and racist diatribes or Obama's arguably tacit endorsement of them.

Don't forget that it wasn't the Democratic left that threw Howard Dean overboard. Nor did the party reject Dean's message; they just deemed him unelectable, and the media reinforced that perception.

Interestingly, the same thing hasn't happened yet to Obama. Since the initial Wright shock wore off, there has been no sustained mass exodus from Obama. Yet his association with Wright, along with other disturbing stories beginning to surface out there, could render him as unelectable in the general election as Howard Dean in his worst screaming moment.

Why is Obama weathering this storm? Is it political correctness; are Democrats cutting him extra slack because of his race? Is it that they are in denial about his increasing baggage because they so crave a party deliverer who speaks their language? Is it because they aren't viscerally repulsed by Pastor Wright's hate speech or Michelle Obama's apparent grievances against this nation? Or is it that they have no one even as electable as John Kerry waiting in the wings -- considering Hillary's permanent and ever-increasing negatives?

I suspect it's a combination of all those factors, which doesn't bode well for the party. Hillary is not in as good a position to capitalize on an Obama implosion as Kerry was to exploit the Dean political suicide. Everyone -- including formerly ardent Clinton supporters -- now realizes that for the Clintons, it's all about the Clintons, who'll do anything to win. "Anything" includes playing a despicable brand of racial politics and betraying the Democrats' unwavering, albeit disingenuous battle cry since Bush-Gore 2000: "Every vote must count."

The leftist blogs are getting ever-more vicious against Hillary and increasingly indignant over any criticisms of their would-be champion, Obama. After all, what good did it do for them to settle for Kerry last time? They've been waiting a long time now for a full-blown anti-war standard-bearer.

So Democrats are faced with the dilemma of sticking with Obama, who truly might be approaching unelectability, or turning to the obnoxious and narcissistic power couple for whom the magic has long since disappeared.

If Obama does well from this point forward, the superdelegates will have no choice but to endorse him because even concerns of electability would not justify the divisions, including along racial lines, that would ensue should the party brokers cashier him. If Hillary marginally -- but not significantly -- outperforms Obama, the same principles will apply.

Only if Hillary wins consistently and decisively from now on, to the point of overtaking Obama in the popular vote, will she have the slightest chance of credibly arguing that superdelegates should go her way. Even then, unless Obama fully gets on board a Hillary ticket -- especially by way of the second slot -- there will be hell to pay in the party for years.

Democrats' "civil war"
American have the rare opportunity to peer into the seamy backstage of the Democratic Party's machinations and political mud wrestling.

We've seen the charlatan Obama unveiled and shown to be the race "uniter" who has taken counsel from a despicable America-hating racist for more than two decades. (Can anyone truly imagine a Republican candidate surviving the revelation that Fred Phelps of Westboro Baptist Church had been his confidante and mentor for 20 years?)

And we're seeing Hill's & Bill's long tortuous goodbye, complete with venom-spitting, classless displays of power lust and side-splitting whopper lies.

Please Hillary, hang on until the Party lynch mob shows up to burn you at the stake.

I'm loving every minute of this illuminating pageant.

Yeah Robert, you're the pinnacle of maturity alright. We can all see it in these two posts, and the way you tuck your yellow tail between your cowardly legs when you run from a challenge.

COWARD

As usual David
Excellent article and right on the money. 5 stars again.

Oh, Robert, it's been too long
There were a couple weeks there that I didn't see you post anything, and I had to turn elsewhere for repetitive, childish, poorly punctuated diatribes.

Welcome back!

Don't let wobert waste your time
Don't let waskally wobbie waste your time.

You can tell the hard core lib/dems when they post at one of these Bowak vs Shrillary articles: they are invariably anti-hill. Currently, the party line demands that madam klintoon withdraw.

I can't wait for the headline: klintoon wins big in PA.

Sad times for our Republic
The Dems were chomping at the bit just waiting for the 2008 election to take full control of the government. My how the conditions have changed. It is really sad that with the Democrats in real turmoil over who can out-left the other candidate that the Republicans don't have a stronger candidate to get conservatives out to vote enmass to provide a Republican blowout.

Who can be the sorriest
This is nothing new for the Lames. They have consistently “out-sorried” the Republicans for the last 75 years. Most of the time they have lost, a few times they have won. This time, no matter how sorry the Dem candidates are they will win because the Republicans, in their never ending effort to be more like the Dems, have decided to try to out-sorry them also.

We have three sorry and good for nothing candidates.

Pills
We did not have to wait long for Wobby to get his childish "Pill" Rush" shot at David today. Uusually takes 2 or 3 warm ups.

Republican choice
"This time, no matter how sorry the Dem candidates are they will win because the Republicans, in their never ending effort to be more like the Dems, have decided to try to out-sorry them also."

I beg to differ. The media and liberal voters selected the Republican candidate this year, not conservatives. None of the true conservatives received even marginal coverage.

"We have three sorry and good for nothing candidates."

Agreed. Now what'ryagunnado?

You can't change the fact that all three are senators, not experienced executives. Our process has become corrupted by a wide variety of elements, not the least of which is the emotion-based voter.

Mr. Ed
The Republican leadership set the primary rules that resulted in this mess. This is also not a new thing. If you go back and look at the historical trend conservatives get a conservative candidate only once in a long while and it is usually in spite of what the bosses push.

What we need is to elliminate the whole primary mess and go to a series of run-offs.

As to "what to do now". Vote 3rd party.

Robert and Hal Donohue Part 1
Gentlemen, I owe you two a compliment.

We differ in belief and opinion; we are on opposite ends of the political spectrum. Many townhall regulars who are conservative disagree, sometimes sharply, on many points with you two. The discussions that have taken place here in the various threads between you two and many other townhallers are not really the model of courteous discourse.

However, an incident happened yesterday that made me appreciate the both of you.

ModMark, who claims to be a moderate, and hence, should present at least a compromise between the left and right points of view, made a statement yesterday that was vile, completely offensive, totally unwarranted, and beyond human standards of decency.

Robert and Hal, it made me realize how, in spite of our differences, you two are much better people. In spite of the heated arguments and occasional name-calling that takes place between you two and the conservatives on Townhall, you two act in a manner that is to be commended.

Robert and Hal Donohue Part 2
You two have attacked conservatives for their ideas and statements, yet have managed to maintain a certain amount of courtesy and decency.

Compare your actions to that of ModMark on Monday. He came out and made a statement that was absolutely vile and offensive and unwarranted. He made a statement that condemned all christians as pedophiles who believe in sex slavery, based on a passage he pulled from the Old Testament.

He did this not in reaction to the article to which he was posting. He did this not in reaction to the statement(s) of any conservative or christian. He was not offering a difference of opinion to anything anyone wrote.

No, he wrote this solely to condemn and antagonize christians for no other discernible reason than to be vile and offensive.

When confronted, and when I and others asked for a retraction and an apology, he became arrogant and tried to back up his statement, becoming even more offensive.

Gentlemen, I thank you two for keeping discussions here much more civilized than that. I commend you two for not once, to the best of my knowledge, ever doing such a vile thing.

ModMark condemned all christians as pedophiles and sex slavers. This is an issue that is beyond political or religious or philosophical differences. Everyone who posts here should censure ModMark for his vile and offensive statements and behavior. I hope you two can reach beyond our political differences and join me in demanding that ModMark retract his statement and make an apology to christians, indeed all who believe in God.

Good morning to you and Vic...

May God have mercy on his soul.

Vic
you are correct! I fear I may never be able to vote for a president of my choice, who is a conservative, in the remaining years of my life! This is a sad thing indeed!

Mr. Limbaugh
Good article, but I must take issue with Obama's potential "unelectability" for several reasons.

-We are still in primary mode. If we think the media is in Barack thrall now, wait until the opponent is a Republican rather than a female Democrat icon. The Clinton lovefest of 1992 will seem like a school concert compared to Woodstock.

-The 24/7 news cycle has already made the Wright story recede into the background. Unless there are new, more disturbing incidents, this will be old news. If someone brings it up, they will be demagogued into silence or told that "the debate is over, he has responded to those criticisms, move on".

-McCain will not probe this (or other) Obama weak point(s), trying to get credit for civility. This will buy him as much goodwill from the left as having Teddy Kennedy over for movie night did for Mr. Bush.

-Obama voters might, just might, stay home if he is swindled out of the nomination in a smoke filled room. However, if Obama is the nominee, no way does Hilary's base - the hard core Democrat soccer moms, the feminists, various BDS sufferers, some Hollywood types, etc. stay home or EVER vote for a Republican.

I could go on, but...

A hearty good morning to you!

I don't disagree with you concerning ModMark. We are on the same side here. I may be a little more polite in speech, but I too will not rest and will persist in hounding him, at least until he makes a retraction and a public apology for his statement.

If he is man enough to do that, I will then let the matter rest. But it has to be a real apology.

Don't confuse my politeness for lack of motivation. It's a difference in style and nothing more.

Morning all

I saw that on a news page on the Net. He will make a good 3rd party choice. He will probably run as a liberatrian

As for ModMark

when he first started posting I posted back to him that I had never seen a self-described moderate who was not actaully a liberal. He has done nothing since then to dispell that. He is in fact a spcialist liberal. I had to give up the laptop to the wife early yesterday afternoon so I did not see the sacrilegious comments,

Hello! Yes, work has been time-consuming the last couple of weeks.

BTW, the point of my comment on the American Continentals to Wobbie is that yesterday he had the gall to suggest that the American Continentals were really never able to do a "stand up", in the open fight with the British regulars. (BrianR had just offered to beat him like a drum; and Wobbie decided to change the subject and talked about the Continental.)

I just wanted to make sure Wobbie got my final comment.

Who's playing the race card?
Regardless how Hillary does in the race it's going to be handed to Obama. Is that the incorrect message your sending out. For safety purposes the nomination must be given to Obama because if Obama doesn't get the nomination no telling what will happen. No, it's called winning and losing. The only victims here are the ones the Conservatives are creating in the minds of the voters. Ferraro with her racist comments planted the seed and the Conservatives have been trying to make touch downs with it every since. The only reason Obama could to be winning against the worlds smartest woman is because he's black. Give me a break. Let's not forget who pulled the first black President Bill Clinton out of the hat, to influence the vote of black people. You can put the only reason Obama could be winning is because he's black man aside, because it was the Clinton's who tried to use the influence of the first black President to capture the black vote. You can't have it both ways because Hillary is now the sweetheart of the Conservatives. I can see the Conservatives are now using spin as a daily tool in which to explain why Hillary is still losing after using all the media at their disposal to save the nomination for her.

Latest on John McCain
keep up the good work limbaugh. the democrats, because of the obama/hillry battle are registering thousands of new voters into the party and also raising millions in contributions that threaten to ovewhelm McCain in the general election once one of them is chosen, furthermore
they are drowning out and overshadowing him in the process currently.

One of McCain's first decisions has been to assemble a novel and risky campaign structure that will rely on 10 "regional managers" who will make daily decisions in the states under their direction, his advisers said. The managers will gather today in New Mexico to plot strategy with GOP state officials.

from the washington post:

"Some Republican strategists have said that McCain has not made the best use of the extra time that the prolonged Democratic nomination battle has given him. They have criticized the pace and direction of his decisions and have questioned why the senator from Arizona has not held more fundraisers to close the huge financial gap between him and his rivals.

Despite scheduling numerous events designed to grab attention, including a trip to meet with leaders in Iraq, Israel and Europe, McCain has struggled to be heard during the battle between Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama. The few times he has broken through have largely been because of questionable decisions or mistakes, such as when he confused Sunni and Shiite extremists and when he was criticized for accepting the endorsement of a controversial television evangelist."

instead of focusing on obama/clinton who repubs/cons are not going to vote for in the first place the should be worrying about the black cloud hanging over their own heads.

Cogent observation that Rev Wright has not hurt Obama noticeably among Demmies. Why should he? The Dem base by & large AGREES with him! He's speaking for them! You're talking about the bunch who re-elected Waco Willie! I put literally NOTHING past them. The Democratic Party has been a basket case since at least 1968 (some would say 1930), & now represents nothing & no one but various shades of hard Left. You can't self-destruct that which already did so 30 yrs ago.

The present contest is nothing but an intermural melanin v. ovaries catfight, an amusing but insignificant side-effect of the Democrats' victim-identity politics.

The real tragedy is that now would have been a perfect occasion for a real conservative to have been nominated as the Republican candidate & to stand up for conservative positions & principles. It's like 1980 all over again, but now we have no Reagan. Instead, the Rockies have engineered the candidacy of Johnny Mack, whose stance on "climate change" ALONE threatens to throw away the entire game forever. He's sucking all the oxygen out of the GOP & making it the irrelevant just-left-of-center wing of the single ruling Republicrat Party.

It appears to me the only chance we have now is to walk out on the 2-party paradigm & support an indie so Mack can't claim we gave him a mandate to nuke our economy & muzzle us.

Hello to all! As I said above, work has been time consuming (plus I had all 3 of my grandkids in last week). It was their Spring Break.

Also got to take my oldest grandson to Vicksburg (I had a job inspection only 25 miles from the city). He really enjoyed looking at the Ironclad "USS Cairo" that is in the Park. However, he said it was "smaller" than he expected.

I got him the book, "The Passage" for Christmas. Its written about the CSS Arkansas and the Seige of Vicksburg. He doesn't understand everything about the War Between the States; but he is trying! (After almost 50 years, I am not sure I understand everything! I doubt if Ed Bearess understands everything. I know Shelby Foote didn't.)

Hal: The economy did not start cratering until AFTER the Dumbbuttcraps took over, so maybe they should get the blame. If you knew anything about the economy, you would know that the President has very little impact on it. The Federal Reserve has much more to do with, and it is an INDEPENDENT body. Knowing you, you would scream GWB was trying to run it, if he tried to tell Bernanke what to do.

You wrote at 8:23, “…I am personally convinced that religion in politics is incompatible in any form of Democracy - it eliminates compromise - the abortion "argument" is a classic example and has even shed innocent blood.”

I don’t know if you saw my recent response to Robert (Malkin thread last Wed) but I would like to know what you think about George Washington’s farewell address wherein he said:
“Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness - these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens… And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.”

Obviously Washington would disagree with you.

And citing abortion as an example of religion eliminating “compromise” is ridiculous. How can you ignore the “innocent blood” shed by 45,000,000 babies?

Good morning!

blatant double standard
Geraldine Ferraro states what is undeniably a fact, and a paraphrase of Edward MacCormack, Teddy Kennedy's opponent in Ted's first campaign for the Senate. MacCormack said, "If your name was simply Edward Moore, instead of Edward Moore Kennedy, your candidacy would be a joke." Mrs. Ferraro pointed out that were Obama white (instead of only half white), then as a very inexperienced politician, only a third through his first term in the Senate, and with absolutely no record of accomplishments, he would not be in the position he is today. She is of course branded immediately as a "racist," despite the fact that what she said is true.
Contrariwise, Obama's "spiritual advisor," the racist, hate-spewing Jeremiah Wright (if he is a "reverend" then so is David Duke), can utter a continuous stream of verbal filth, and we are told that we have to understand "the context" of his hatred. Wright is a fraud and a race hustler of the worst sort, and has been a considerable influence on young Mr. Obama for over twenty years. But then, according to the left, only white people can be racists. What utter rot!

Actually no he wouldn't. I have nothing against religion and I even serve on the board of a local religious group. I, and I suspect GW, would draw the line at religion getting involved in politics and political parties. I would think that after 9/11 and the slaughter in the former Yugoslavia not to mention the Middle East you might begin to realise the dangers

"And citing abortion as an example of religion eliminating “compromise” is ridiculous. How can you ignore the “innocent blood” shed by 45,000,000 babies? "

First point, then that justifies slaughtering innocents? The end justifies the means? Most of the country does not hold your views and agrees there should be limits on abortion but not outlawed. Just because your religion thinks otherwise means you can use violience and terrorism?

Civil War
I am curious as to why so many Southerners are so infatuated with the civil war which saved the Constitution and the republic while punishing the South for nearly 100 years. Can anyone tell me please?

Actually, the War is as much studied in the North as in the South. Maybe Southerners are interested in the War, because about 98% of the battles were fought in the South. Additionally, Doofus, the War did not save the Constitution, it fundamentally altered it. Basically the War declared the Declaration of Independence, unconstitutional.

The Doofus does not and will never understand the interest by the entire country concerning the War Between the States (nor the Revolutionary War period as seen by his comments to "Jeff"). Ignore the little snot. He is no better than Wobbie (and in some cases worse).

Why is it that
Progressives and Democrats talk about Democraticx issues and conservatives only talk about Democratic issues?

Is there an identity problem here?

but you seem to forget that slavery wasn't only prevalent in the South. It was also in the north just as much. In pennsylvania and new York too.

And for that I apologize.

Your welcome Jeff. (I am jumping on and off, while working on a project) However, what is your take on Obama vs Hitlery? Do you believe (as is the topic of this article) that the DNC will self-destruct at the Convention?

You may have noticed that I view liberalism with great disdain. Having lost a great son-inlaw who was an undercover Police Officer and a thug created by Liberalism, ambushed and shot him in the back of the head. I can forgive the thug but I will never forgive liberalism.

I define liberalism as a combination of collectivists and the dregs of society battling together against all that this Great Nation stands for.

modmark attacked me for lumping all of this thinking and behaviour as despicable and abhorrent to a group of people. I explained to him that I never use the words Democrat or Republican and when referring to liberalism I do not mean Democrat.

Liberalism has attacked both parties and the Democrat Leadership are surrendering to these "vermin" and the Republican Leadership are reaching out to them for political expediency.

Liberalism is a disease that impairs the normal functioning of logic and reason.

Many Democrats find themselves painted with the same brush as NAMBLA, Farrakhan, militant homosexuals and militant feminists etc. They need to kick these groups out and save their own party.

Liberalism should create their own party.

I think it is possible the DNC may self-destruct, or be taken over, at the Convention. Both Obama and Hillary subscribe to Marxist ways to control people and wield power, which can be terribly addictive. Neither has much of a problem with misrepresenting what they really want, have done and said (“misremembering” and “misspeaking” – ha!).

So I do not put it past or beneath (if that is possible) either, or their cronies, to try to claw and climb over the other, whatever the cost to the party, which, according to its leaders, stands for nothing but regaining power, wielding power, and holding on to power, heedless of the effects on life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, properly understood.

David's brother said that we shouldnt count the Smartest Woman In The Universe out until the witch's feet curled up under the house. We're almost there. When the Verminous Senator Loathsome Leahy started calling for her to get out, that was a milestone. It shows that the fear the Clints used to inspire in the party is gone. She's broke, and unwilling to dip into the personal wealth her and hubby have accumulated over the last few years, even to pay for health care for her staff, a major embarrassment to someone who claims she's for health-care for all.
She's finished. The announcement cant be far off. As her poll numbers sink in Pennsylvania and the few remaining states left to vote it becomes mathematically certain that she cannot win.

I have thought for some time now that the Democratic Party was on the path to dissolution. I fear the Republicans may not be too far behind.

I feel we're not too far off from a situation similar to the time before the civil war (don't remember exact dates) when the Whigs imploded and the Democratic Republican party split into two distinct parties, leaving the whigs to fade into obscurity.

Jeff
Here is a couple to for people to chew on, but there are way too many to post here.

"Our Constitution was made for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
~John Adams

"Religion and good morals are the only solid foundation of public liberty and happiness."
~Samuel Adams

Curtal Friar
You absolutely have to do the entire tour of Gettysburg!

Plan for a full day though.

Lolo
Sadly, most folks only know Samuel Adams as beer.

Curtal Friar 12:31pm
Shiloh and Gettysburg are MUST visits, if possible. Shiloh, because it was truly the first great battle of the war. (Try to go during early April; that is when the Battle occurred. There might even be some reenactments going on.)

Gettysburg, because it was THE Climatic battle of the war. Try to visit Little Round Top and look at the 20th Maine's defense line. Also, walk across the field of Pickett's Charge. These are places that will live forever in our country's memory. (Try to go around the 4th of July; that is when the Battle occurred.)

Another good site to visit is Vicksburg. Its loss sealed the fate of the Confederacy. If you get to Vicksburg, be sure to go on board the USS Cairo and see the Old Court House Museum.

Lolo1

Shiloh and Vicksburg also require a full day. 2 or 3 would be better at each.

Alas, this is true, but there are some wonderful exceptions. Someone has already mentioned Shiloh. I also recommend Fort Donelson and Chickamauga.

In Virginia, I highly recommend that you visit Appomattox and Manassas. Petersburg is also well-worth seeing. Petersburg has the Pamplin Historical Park, which allows you to experience the everyday life of a Civil War soldier. You can also follow the route of Lee's Retreat from Petersburg to Appomattox.

I also recommend visiting Lexington, Virginia. That was Stonewall Jackson's home, and Robert E. Lee also lived his last years there.

I've never been to Vicksburg, but I've always wanted to go. Downtown Fredericksburg (Virginia)is fairly well-preserved, but much of the battlefield is not. The same holds true for Chancellorsville and the Wilderness.

I also highly recommend Springfield, Illinois. The downtown area has been preserved pretty much like it was in the 1860's. Lincoln's home is there, and so is his old law office. Across the street from the law office is the old State House, where Lincoln made his "House Divided" speech in 1858. It also has the old law library where he and other lawyers used to prepare their cases.

On the north end of Springfield is Oak Ridge Cemetary, which contains Lincoln's tomb. It also has the receiving vault where his body was originally kept. Lincoln's tomb has an interesting history in and of itself.

Agreed. So is the Petersen House, where Lincoln died the morning after his assassination. It also has a great museum in the basement.

I was a little disappointed in Richmond. The Confederate White House was interesting, and so is the Confederate Museum nearby. They're really hard to get to, though, because the downtown area is so crowded.

If you like Revolutionary War sites, Yorktown is exceptionally well-preserved. Williamsburg is nearby, and it has some great living history exhibits.

In 1981, I got to go to the 200th anniversary re-enactment at Yorktown, and in 1988 saw the 125th anniversary re-enactment at Gettysburg. What was funny about that was that Confederate re-enactors outnumbered Union re-enactors about 3 to 1. There were Confederate units that came down from New York and New England, and nary a Southerner in the bunch. The common concensus among those re-enactors was that they preferred "serving" in the Army led by R.E. lee rather than U.S. Grant or in this case Meade.

Hal Doofus Keeps On Raving:
Ken/Lumberjack/Georgetwin,
"...He once argued that Lincoln protested the Black Hawk War and that Teddy Roosevelt opposed American involvement in World War I. "

Oh stop you sissies you know that isn't true or you are ingesting more than booze

You cannot try to get out of that. I was one of the ones demanding proof for your assertions.

Ken/Lumberjack
"Oh stop you sissies you know that isn't true or you are ingesting more than booze"

This from someone working for those famous Non-Inhalers, Billary & Shrillary Cankleton.

Hal
"Oh stop you sissies you know that isn't true or you are ingesting more than booze"

Do you deny that you ever said such things? You most certainly did say them, and you know it.

Ken/Lumberjack/Georgetwin et. al
"... re-education centers..."

Speaking of re-education, David's brother seems to be screaming for attention of late and getting little even as he gets more and more "out there"

Changing the subject, Hal?
Don't try to change the subject. You've been caught in a lie. Explain yourself.

Ken
"Do you deny that you ever said such things? You most certainly did say them, and you know it. "

I asked the question because I didn't know what wars/troop actions they opposed. Asking is not stating as a fact now is it? Well unless you are comprehension challenged like Lumber

Ken/Georgetwin et. al:
You notice with his last post the Doofus is trying to change the direction of the thread.

Hal 'Huffington Hater' Drunkahue
Inability/Refusing to FOCUS on a subject at hand is a HALLMARK of Clintonistas and Drunks.

Hal
"I asked the question because I didn't know what wars/troop actions they opposed."

As I recall, you didn't ask any questions. You stated them as "facts", and then you changed it when your bluff was called.

Ken
Maybe "LIHL Hal" said those things during a "black-out". Quite common with those who overindulge.

And, I predict it is about time for "Hal" to depart and for the "Townhall Coward" to make an appearance.

Carry on sissies
You folks are sounding frantic and desparate but that is OK if I were you folks I would love to forget about 08 too

Now the Doofus is starting to sound like Wal-Mart Wobbie Wodent. The Doofus is calling me comprehension challenged after I asked him a specific question about one assertion in his post, and Wal-Mart Wobbie Wodent accuses me of being senile.

Ken: OF COURSE he said them, and I

remember reading most of them at one time or another...

And yes, he will "change the subject." He's very good at that...

Hal 'Huffington Hater' Drunkahue
AGAIN you denigrate a DAV, Lumberjack7392 is one such.

Hal Doofus Keeps On Raving:

If the Witch or Braindead win, I know you will scream like a scalded dog when your taxes go up as well as those on the "wealthy."

Ken
"As I recall, you didn't ask any questions. You stated them as "facts", and then you changed it when your bluff was called. "

You recall wrongly then or were using those substances again. I had actually asked if anyone knew anything about it and if it was which war. I asked a legimate question of supposed history "experts" and of course received nothing in response

Primus54
YOU MUST BE PSYCHIC! Maybe Hal/Wobbie is SO GUTLESS, it takes 2 personalties to hold such a MASSIVE dose of COWARDICE!

I just realized,
that the Doofus is as spelling challenged as Wal-Mart Wobbie Wodent. He can't even spell desperate.

Actually Doofus
I gave you specific answers, and the sites where they could be located. Just like a lib to try and change the facts to fit your current beliefs.

Hal 'Huffington Hater' Drunkahue
HURRY! Or you'll miss the start of Happy Hour!

Ken/Lumberjack/Georgetwin et. al
"..And, I predict it is about time for "Hal" to depart and for the "Townhall Coward" to make an appearance. "

Wow you sissies have a sense of time LOL. Yes I will be leaving shortly as I usually do at this time

"...The Doofus is calling me comprehension challenged ...."

No actually here is another example you ARE comprehension challenged based upon your posting.

Hal's funniest statement...
This is Hal's funniest statement yet: "Well unless you are comprehension challenged like Lumber"

Comprehension challenged? Hal's rantings are barely intelligible, and it's a minor miracle that we comprehend them at all.

Fellow conservatives
My scroll key is wearing thin as i zoom by this pointless BS as you guys jump in the mud with the trolls. All you are doing is giving these pathetic misfits a life. There is nothing positive in their life, so the only thing left is to get negative attention. Ignore them. They will go away.

Hal
"You recall wrongly then or were using those substances again. I had actually asked if anyone knew anything about it and if it was which war."

How come nobody else remembers it that way?

BTW Hal Doofus:
Answer my question. How do you know what George Washington would do?

Lumberjack7392
"...If the Witch or Braindead win, I know you will scream like a scalded dog when your taxes go up as well as those on the "wealthy."

My taxes should go up. I am no deadbeat like conservatives

Georgetwin
We are very fortunate that the safety and security of this country is not dependent on the likes of frauds such as Hal/Robert.

VERY fortunate...

Savage99
Sorry! It is just TOO MUCH FUN to watch Hal 'Huffington Hater' Drunkahue tie himself in knots :)!

Savage99
Lighten up! Hal seems to enjoy making a fool out of himself, and we enjoy watching him.

Gray ghost
Haven't really what you would call studied either the revolution or the Civil War, but one runs across interesting sidelights. I've been to the Gettysburg and Antitem battlefields. Matthew Brady's photographs and the accounts of incredible determination were gut-wrenching. As for the Revolution, it was fought by troops at all levels of organization and equipment from the lone peeohed farmer to the uniformed regulars that fought at Yorktown with the French Regulars. Been there too.

Ken/Savage99
"Comprehension challenged? Hal's rantings are barely intelligible, and it's a minor miracle that we comprehend them at all. "

Actually this is true on several counts. On TH I use little punction and never recheck spelling. But please listen to Savage 99. I must run but I will return to comment where I think appropriate later. I love being inggied so I can comment freely without wasting much time

Primus54
If those 2 are in charge of security, I'll sleep with one eye open and a pistol under my pillow.

Ken
"...How come nobody else remembers it that way? "

DUH! Please LMAO

Hal
Just answer the question.

Primus-Ken-LJ7392
"I love being inggied so I can comment freely without wasting much time" ?!?!?

THIS is what Libs call INTELLIGENCE?

I'm Gone for Now!

Goodbye Drunkahue, Hello Townhall Coward
Shift change at the Walmart!

Goodbye, "LMAO"®

Hello, "Latter/later"®

Bwahahahaha!

History Buffs ??
When I lived close to NYC my wife and I drove down to Valley Forge and walked with a park ranger. He told of all of the suffering the soldiers had went through during the winter.

He then told of what he said some would call a miracle. According to him: That spring there was a run of shad that was so enormous the soldiers were able to catch more fish then they could eat. He said they may have starved had that not occurred. I have tried to find something to confirm this and I never have.

Do any of you guys know whether or not this is true?

Gettysburg
Many tears ago my wife and I took our kids and a niece and nephew camping at Gettysburg. We thought the kids would be bored so we planned on only staying a day or two.

We ended up staying 4 days and the kids loved it. My nephew said that trip changed his life and he now is a history teacher.

R Geek
I can tell you that Lambertville New Jersey has a Shad Fest every year. If that helps

Retired Geek
Most of the sites say that the shad thing is an undocumented myth; sorry.

Retired Geek
But know that shad used to literally block the waterways. Only now are efforts being made to bring back shad

Thanks History Buffs
Thanks for your responses on shad.

The Townhall Coward knows...
... nothing about conservatism.

He can drop McCain's name all he wants, but if you remove his claims of McCain support, his rants are no different than the dozen or so far, far left liberal trolls that "patrol" these threads.

Just another "nobody" trying desperately to be "somebody".

And undoubtedly the biggest coward I have ever witnessed.

Robert
I can define terms anyway I want to when I state categorically it is MY definition.

What do you wish me to call a group of collectivists and immoralists?

Universal Healthcare
My cardiologist (masters degree in science MIT, MD Harvard) told me yesterday that the VA is budgeted for certain procedures. He cited an example where a VA hospital he is familiar with can do 3 bypass surgeries per week. If they do less than 3 per week their budget will be reduced the following year. If they need to do 6 they cannot borrow from last week where they didn't do any etc.

Liberals scream about Veteran Healthcare - which is an indicator of that which is to come.

When such measures are applied to their socialistic healthcare program will they scream then?

ModMark/Robert
I am just a happy troll LOL

Robert
"...this thread seems to have gone nuts easily what fired it.."

Hard questions and comments. The usual sissies are melting down. Not that I care makes my presence a lot nicer - instant gratification

Hal Drunkahue writes:
"The usual sissies are melting down."

Several posts from the LIHL ex-Colonel calling people "sissies"... sounds like he's still in grade school.

I wonder if Hal has "cooties"...

"LMAO"®

Robert
"..something happened to him to take him from being a reasonable Dick to being a mean Dick...and it wasnt 9/11."

He was always mean dick but I did admire his ability to go very dark grey but never cross to black. As he shovled billions out of the Pentagon he earned the Haliburton job. Remember I worked with the guy

"rumor is that it was all the heart work that he had done after Bush the old ended...or that he just spun out over clinton..."

Nope always the bully never changed. I waged a dollar when he was assigned the job of VP search bu the Bushs. My brother, RNC member, was aghast when I said you VP will be Dick and we bet a dollar - I won LOL.

"The far right seems obsesed with Clinton...maybe it is because they are not getting any I dont know."

I think all but the extremists are over Clinton but just a feeling

"Anyway it seemed that while the usual beloved melted down, they did so rather well uniquely on this thread. "

They don't have a lot of "wattage" but it is getting worse

"They are kind of like children saying "Pay me attention"."

And all they hear is why LMAO

LOL

Got You Again Wobbie
At Bemis' Farm (part of the Saratoga battlefield), Poor's brigade of NY and New Hampshire Continentals (with Conn. militia support) almost destroyed British Gen. Hamilton's grenadiers IN THE OPEN FIELD OF BEMIS' FARM. (British-600 casualties; American-300 casualties).

Sounds like a "stand-up" fight to me and the rest of the world. Try reading an actual book on the subject of the Revolutionary War.

You are so stupid, there are no words to describe your stupidity. If your brains were sh*t, even a mouse would not feel compacted if your brain was shoved up its a*s.

Remember Wobbie...
The Battle of Saratoga occurred in 1777. The Battle of Monmouth occurred in 1778.

Robert
"...Have U read what the AG said about
9/11 and the phone call from Afland?"

No I had not but I know enough background ...

"...if what he said is "not a lie" then well the Administration or its agents acted with gross incompetence pre 9/11 concerning not following up that phone call...which they had the legal authority to do."

OBE is my view. Unlike you I want this regime in the dock at the Hague. I suspect that may actually happen

"As for Cheney...he will be gone in 20 Jan...not soon enough but I guess that says it all. "

A nasty man who made good LOL at least his entire family hates him and laughs at him

Gray Ghost/Robert
"...You are so stupid, there are no words to describe your stupidity. If your brains were sh*t, even a mouse would not feel compacted if your brain was shoved up its a*s. "

Well so nice you of the cowardly name. Why have you not volunteered for service overseas in a war zone???? Please tell me why. Oh why did you also pick the name of a cowardly criminal and lowly rebel?

Robert
"Sometimes it is hard to seperate incompetence from stupidity"

ergo the entire story of the Bush Regime

Well I am off be well folks

Townhall Coward writes:
"Sometimes it is hard to seperate (sic) incompetence from stupidity.

as (sic) some people here show!"

And nobody demonstrates their complete incompetence and stupidity more than the Townhall Coward.

Thanks for playing, Coward.

"LOL"®

Hal Doofus scribbles
Robert
"Sometimes it is hard to seperate incompetence from stupidity"

Well I am off be well folks

That;s easy

Stupidity = RJS

Incompetence = Hal Doofus

Lumberjack7392
Isn't it just AMAZING all the free time our "Navy" gives its "officers" to waste time on their computers?

I'm sure the Townhall Coward is just biding time until Michelle Malkin's column is up.

He's got to make sure he's first to post some juvenile "anchor baby" comment.

I swear, I have never seen a more clear case of authentic mental illness and cowardice.

Sh!t, I wish I had had all the free time that RJS has. I remember the COs of my ships barely had time to sleep much less waste time in personal matters.
