Who's Politicizing Justice?

Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

One reason I have been urging Republicans to man their battle stations against Democrats is that Democrats are in perpetual, full-blown war mode against Republicans. The Democrats' militant approach to the manufactured Justice Department scandal illustrates the point.

If Democrats, as they profess, are inclined toward bipartisanship and conciliation, why are they always alleging GOP scandal even before they have any idea what the facts are?

The answer is that it's all about discrediting the president and augmenting their own power, which is why they always try to tie Cheney or Rove personally to every event they mischaracterize as a scandal.

So it is with this latest installment concerning the firing of eight U.S. attorneys. Despite the unfortunate responses from Alberto Gonzales, probably born of wholly justified defensiveness toward the Democrat scandalmongers, all available facts point to the conclusion that no impropriety was involved on the part of either the Justice Department or the White House.

Democrats know that presidents have broad discretion to terminate U.S. attorneys so long as they aren't trying to interfere with investigations or the like. But where were Democrats when Janet Reno, almost immediately after becoming attorney general, took the unprecedented action of firing all 93 U.S. attorneys even before they had successors lined up to take their places? Yet Democrats insist on jumping to the worst possible conclusions concerning the Gonzales Justice Department's much less extreme action of firing only eight.

Scandalmongerer in chief, Sen. Chuck Schumer, exploited reports of these firings with his customary even-handedness. He didn't suggest that we need to examine the facts to determine whether any wrongdoing occurred. He immediately accused Gonzales of gross improprieties and demanded he resign because he is putting politics above the law. What? Talk about calling the kettle black!

It is Schumer and his fellow Bush-haters who are putting politics above the law, like they put partisan politics above almost everything else, including America's national security interests. How better to describe Schumer's demands that Gonzales resign for engaging in the completely lawful and ethical act of firing attorneys serving at the president's discretion, likely because of policy differences or performance?

Even the reliably liberal Washington Post has conceded that so far, "little evidence" has emerged that the firings were calculated to interfere with the administration of justice. What, then, do Schumer and his colleagues know that we don't? Nothing, of course, except the important lesson that allegations of wrongdoing repeated over and over damage their target, even when they are baseless.

Schumer's Democrats are demanding that the evil Rove and others shackle themselves in leg braces and shuffle over to Congress to volunteer themselves as witch-trial, perjury trap martyrs in the spirit of the fallen Scooter Libby. When at first you don't succeed at taking down Cheney and Rove, try, try again.

President Bush, though admirably standing his ground so far and properly upholding the integrity of the executive branch against this Democratic legislative power grab, has been very accommodating and forthcoming with the evidence. If Democrats were interested in the facts, instead of rushing to injustice, they would be jumping at this opportunity to examine the evidence before jumping to conclusions of criminality.

Bush has offered that Rove and others meet informally with the witchhunters, and is providing mountains of e-mails and other documentary evidence for them to peruse in their quest for just a sliver of a morsel to suggest the faintest hint of a shred of barely discernible ambiguity that could be stretched, contorted and distorted enough to fool some into believing wrongdoing occurred.

We must encourage the president to hold his ground here and, the next time Sen. Schumer expectorates false charges against him, to reverse the charges. He should say to Mr. Schumer, "Senator, you are the one subordinating the law to politics. You are the one acting unethically and abusing your power, by wrongfully accusing public officials of wrongdoing and demanding their resignation without any evidence wrongdoing occurred. If you have a scintilla of evidence of wrongdoing, produce it, or hold your slanderous tongue. Before lecturing us again on politics and justice, explain to us why you routinely savage my highly qualified and ethical judicial nominees for crass political purposes."

By the way, where was Sen. Schumer when President Clinton and Attorney General Reno were giving a nearly eight-year seminar on how to politicize and corrupt the Justice Department? I devoted an entire book to that subject and would be glad to send an uninscribed copy to the senator, reminding him that he was conspicuously silent during that period.

Move along, nothing to see here
But there is something to see here. At the heart of this issue is the scheme by top admin officials to circumvent to role of the Congress codified in the Constiution. Many here invoke the phrase, serve at the pleasure of the President, but they fail to cite the full passage with concludes, with the advice and consent of the Senate.

Sampson's email clearly show the very sleazy efforts on the part of admin officials to abuse provisions of the Patriot Act to further this goal of usurping the Senate power of advice and consent.

Speaking of Sampson, he has agreed to give testimony to the committee, and something tells me he will not fall on his sword like Libby did. We may finally be getting to the heart of this matter.

Split Now
There is precious little ground for agreement between left and right. Divide the county now and save some lives. Let the Left have their utopian socialist paradise.

America is already dead and the Pornostan America would fall quickly.

lily
Soo many lies, so little time. Please try being honest

Liberalgoodman does not get it
Liberalgoodman did exactly what the article accuses Libs of doing. He makes a baseless charge. What evidence is there that anyone lied? Who lied? About what? Produce some proof! It is slander if you have no evidence! Why do you think it is ok to say someone lied just because you do not like them, or do not agree with them. Once again, if you have no proof don't make charges.

Thrasybulus
The irony is that the right is always yelling for freedom from government, unless it concerns sexuality, the womb, or the terminally ill. I have a libertarian solution. If you are against abortion, don't have one. If some sort of sexual behavior disturbs you, don't practice it. Learn to leave other people alone, like a good conservative. I have been able to co-exist with Madonna this way for years.

More legal shenanigans

The Assoc, of Trial Lawyers (One of the biggest contributors to the Democratic Party) is changing its name to the American Assoc. for Justice. (I know. I couldn't stop laughing either.)

It is offering a new book entitled, "Blue's Guide to Jury Selection". In it, it urges plaintiff attorneys to SHUN potential jurors who believe in personal responsibility.

It obviously appears that the law is no longer about an honest search for truth. It is all about the cynical pursuit of a big pay day. (In the current Justice Department situation, the take-over of the U.S. government.)

Trial lawyers using willing jurors to win frivolous litigation. This abuse already costs us an annual tort tax of $2,400.00. How much more will it cost us in the future?

What the Liberals don't understand why the Conservatives have not nor ever will approve of abortion or homosexuality is because it is an issue of personal responsibility, something that just does not resonate with them. Instead, through a perversion of the Constitution and Civil Rights enactments, they found a way through the Liberal court system to legislate their sense of morality on the rest of us.

Lilly
I think Lilly means AlGor's Kyoto Treaty which he signed for the United States. But Lilly, even AlGor's boss wasn't stupid enough to present it to the Senate for ratification. An unratified treaty is not law.

Left Nut
How to respond to your post at 1012?

Oh yeah, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!

You a funny little lib limp-noodle.

Left Angle
Yeah, your CLEAR mandate is really working. Just read yesterday that those "Blue Dog" Dems are giving Red Nancy Pelosiovich fits.

Let's not discuss the fact that Red Nancy's promises have been broken, things like a 5 day work week...I think THAT happened the FIRST WEEK!
Now the libs are forcing a veto on pulling out of Iraq, thus once again reinforcing the fact that they are WEAK on national security.

Yep, things sure do look go for you dingbats in 2008. Rove is playing you clowns like a fiddle.

lilly
I wish that you leftists would rise up. Then we could just finish you backstabbing vermin and move on. The ONLY violence that I see these days is coming from the LEFT! So, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it! In fact, after what the troops are seeing emanating out of your scummy party, I would not count on their support too much. Indeed, consider this. Many cops are either former or retired military, who do you think that they would side with?

Lastly, stop smoking crack before it's too late. Maybe you can go into rehab like so many Limousine Liberals do!

Its hell being the Minority eh Repubs?
Heres a extra large box on Kleenex to wipe away those tears Mr. Limbaugh and fellow repubs/cons.

after 8 years of investigating everyone in the Clinton whitehouse with the exception of their pet dog Buddy (rumor has it repubs tried to hire a pet whisperer) repubs/cons have the unmitigated gall to cry foul when dems control the congress...well repubs/cons get used to it because the rubberstamp free ride for prezident bush and his administration is over: its called accountability.

Payback is a DOG..LOL

taxfreekiller
I agree with most of your comments, only I believe that Rove should have been thrown under a bus a long time ago. If he is the chief architect of what goes on in the White house, he is a complete idiot. In fact if Bush listens anyone other than Tony Snow, he is clueless. Bush has done almost nothing in way of leading this country and by that, I don't mean trying to be "bipartisan". He tries that way too often for any good to come of it. He needs to grow a spine and fight back against the liars and leftist defeatists that are working overtime to destroy the country.

Liberty
You make excellent points. What is the difference between reps and dems? The conservative philosophy is great but there aren't too many Republicans practicing it. In fairness, I see a lot of folks on TH agreeing with this. Dems don't criticize their own politicians because they behave according to their wishes. What I don't understand is why dems hate the republicans so much; many of them also behave according to their wishes, even the president.

My Opine
Bravo! Not only should the indictments begin, but the trials are slam dunks that don't need to run on for years.

As for Attygate - why in the world is Bush's office turning over any documents at all?!!! Is this another of his silly attempts to get along with Dems? Nothing good can come from doing this. Strap 'em on George! Do you really think playing ball with the Dems is winning you points? 7 years in the oval office should have taught you something by now.

Obama gets Gonzales off hook
If Dems accept Obama's claim that he knew nothing about the Youtube 1984 hoax, they have to accept Gonzales' statement that he was unaware of these firings. In Obama's case, you have the outright theft of Apple Computer's intellectual property for personal and political gain, as well as a fraud on the public. If you call for Gonzales to resign, you also have to scoff at Obama's defense of total ignorance.

Republicans have ample evidence!
Since Democrats insist American Justice must be prostituted for political purpose, Republicans should indict every Democrat that has ever spoken or voted against the Iraq war and charge them with failing to register as Agents of Foreign Governments. Their financial records should be examined by subpoenas to discover any money from Islamic sources and they should be removed from the Congress or Senate while under indictment for unAmerican activities.
This is ample grounds.
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/printer-friendly.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53269

Many Democrats have broken their oath to defend the Constitution and have joined an International organization who's main object is to eliminated our Constitution and curtail personal liberty.
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/printer-friendly.asp?ARTICLE_ID=447011

So tell Gonzales to get his apathetic butt in gear and start handing out subpoenas!

President Bush won't change
He seems to truly care that he make all efforts at "bipartisanship". He does so to our detriment. He must believe that there will come apoint where even Ms. Pelosi will be embarrassed to continue as she has, but he is wrong. They will take every offer of friendship as a sign of weakness and only attack harder. He should stop acquiescing and start fighting back.

Koz'isms
I think you are correct. I had forgotten about the other posts in that range. I had read the post and your replies but forgot it was on this article.

Andrews
There was not a crash. You can tell if you go to any other article and see there are comments during that time. If you refer to my post made at 12:20 pm, it will shed a flicker of ligh; I know it is not much. I did that intentionally and can not say more.

Voters
The voters are going to be in a perpetual war mode against both Democrats and Republicans if they don't stop squabbling and start solving some of our nations serious problems.

Wow
What happened to all of the posts relating to lilly and her list? Were ALL of them flagged and removed?

They vanished a while ago, appear in the side bar, but are now gone again.

TH is being strange again today.

(Just a guess: DB crashed, rolled back to an earlier point -- the Peppermint post-- and lost all after than until new posts start with taxfreekiller. The sidebar would be in my browsxer cache, explaining why the missing messages still show up.)

So Unreal
I do not know how many were around to hear a very serious statement from a leftist. I will not go into detail out of respect for the people of this site, but if you know what I am talking about, I will be happy to forward to you what, rightfully so, inspired a fear in me, outside of this site. I wish that the posts(s) were not deleted as I think it was a dangerous reality check to conservatives and all of us should have been made aware. I will say nothing more on that subject and will not post anything on this site about the subject out of respect of the site, and the people, both left and right and middle.

On lies and fraud.
Never forget, Lt. Kerry still is a liar and a fraud.
He sits unpunished in our U.S. Senate.
Never mistake, the bus Atty. Gen. Gonzales was thrown under belongs to the Bush's and the National Republican Committee and Karl Rove.

This misdirection on the fired Atty's is just that, the facts on the Ramos and Compean trial are coming out, the msm due to the lust of the Democrats for the votes to come later from the commie illegal immigrants will not put it up on page one , so "we the people" do the work, Judical Watch is getting the paper work done, Jerome Corsi once more digs up the real facts as he and the swiftboatvets did, the R's loved him then and said good things, but now that he finds the dirt on the Justice Dept. working for the Mexican Goverment, and the borders open to the coyotes and the Mexican Drug Cartels who work hand and hand with the Mexican Goverment and the Mexican Army, he is not a darling any longer.

Of note is this,
President Bush's support of the Am-nasty, and the congress getting into the "coyote" buss. "$2,000" each for safe passage is a real bad thing, aka,"evil money cult work", its bad, bad, bad.

try it TownHall, your fingers will not fall off

ps
Karl Rove, keep an eye out, the Bush's own more than one bus.

Lilly
I assume by the treaty quote you mean the stupidity of Carter's ABM treaty with the no-longer-extant Soviet Union. When a partner to a contract ceases to exist, the contract is no longer valid. Same for treaties.

I know it makes you sad, but the USSR is no more.

You still have Cuba, China and Harvard though. And you picked up Venezuela. So buck up!

Actually
Lilly, now that I read your unsupported list again, there are a few items I WISH the republicans supported on your list that they don't. The rest are amusing lefty scaremongering.

Nice job! You will have a slot waiting in President Gore's Izvestiya-US when he is inaugurated.

Lilly
Below, i quote your drivel and respond to each point with "The Truth":

“1)Allow private businesses to pollute our air, water, and earth so they can make more money;”

The Truth: Allow innovative, free men to create millions of jobs and offer high value goods and services to consumers, in the process enhancing our standard of living, so that unbathed hippies like you who contribute NOTHING to society can hypocritically vilify them on your trendy Apple desktops.

“2) Allow government to decide whether an unwanted and possibly unhealthy pregnancy may be terminated on the decision of a woman and her doctor;”

The Truth: Allow government to protect the life of the fetus, which SOME conservatives consider to be a human being. If a fetus is a human being, it has a right to life, and it is therefore morally impermissible to exterminate it.

“3) Allow companies to decide alone whether the substance they are selling to the public is a safe food or an efficacious drug;”

The Truth: The above statement is unintelligible drivel, unworthy of a reply unless it is supported by concrete examples.

“4) Allow government to decide whether a patient on life-support may be terminated;”

The Truth: A patient on life support still has a right to life. If you believe doctors have the right to exterminate sick patients, you’re a Nazi. If the patient asks to be terminated, that is a different story.

“5) Allow individuals to allow in any degree of hate speech, name-calling, and race-baiting;”

The Truth: Allow individuals freedom of speech—an anathema to you Leninists.

“6) Allow local schools to decide whether they will teach the science that is agreed-on by the scientific community (schools are to have the option of teaching the Bible in place of science);”

The Truth: Allow THE LOCAL COMMUNITY to decide what the local schools should teach. That is, keep the statists out of local schools.

“7) Ignore and violate international treaties that we have already signed;”

The Truth: Name a treaty that we have signed and violated. Hint: there are some unconstitutional treaties that we have signed and are rightly violating.

“8) Withhold state funding from agencies whose work violates extemist ideology;”

By agencies, do you mean “charitable” organizations? Anyway, The Truth: “Withhold state funding from organizations that engage in partisan propaganda.

“9) However, provide state funding to agencies whose work supports extremist ideology;

The Truth: Provide state funding for non-partisan agencies

“10) Ignore, supplant, and ignore Constitutional protections of citizens' rights at the whim of an ideology-driven administration;”

The Truth: The above statement is a lie

“11) Require no minimum wage to be paid to workers;”

The Truth: We agree on something; the free market should dictate wages.

“12) Allow businesses to withhold retirement annuities paid into and promised for the lifetime of a worker;”

The Truth: Where to begin? Lets just say that is an idiotic lie.

“13) Provide no federal income protection to those who are elderly, disabled, or injured;”

The Truth: Again, we agree on something! It’s not the government’s job to provide federal income for ANYONE, other than federal employees.

“14) Allow convicted felons and the mentally ill full access to any gun of their choosing;”

The Truth: This is a lie.

“15) Prevent citizens from litigating against doctors who have hurt them through malpractice.”

The Truth: Prevent scumbag lawyers from overburdening the medical profession with unreasonable litigation, in the process driving up medical costs and driving good doctors out of the medical profession.

“And there's more.”

I know there is.

“Republicans protect business. Democrats protect people.”

The Truth: Republicans (admittedly, only some Republicans) protect freedom. Democrats protect totalitarian dictatorships.

Allow Me To Explain
Allow me to explain: the reason Democrats are at war against Republicans is that Republicans are at war against the people---Democrats believe in protecting the people. According to Republicans we should:

1)Allow private businesses to pollute our air, water, and earth so they can make more money;

2) Allow government to decide whether an unwanted and possibly unhealthy pregnancy may be terminated on the decision of a woman and her doctor;

3) Allow companies to decide alone whether the substance they are selling to the public is a safe food or an efficacious drug;

4) Allow government to decide whether a patient on life-support may be terminated;

5) Allow individuals to allow in any degree of hate speech, name-calling, and race-baiting;

6) Allow local schools to decide whether they will teach the science that is agreed-on by the scientific community (schools are to have the option of teaching the Bible in place of science);

7) Ignore and violate international treaties that we have already signed;

8) Withhold state funding from agencies whose work violates extemist ideology;

9) However, provide state funding to agencies whose work supports extremist ideology;

10) Ignore, supplant, and ignore Constitutional protections of citizens' rights at the whim of an ideology-driven administration;

11) Require no minimum wage to be paid to workers;

12) Allow businesses to withhold retirement annuities paid into and promised for the lifetime of a worker;

13) Provide no federal income protection to those who are elderly, disabled, or injured;

14) Allow convicted felons and the mentally ill full access to any gun of their choosing;

15) Prevent citizens from litigating against doctors who have hurt them through malpractice.

And there's more.

Republicans protect business. Democrats protect people.

LGM - Bush's first?
I thought that Bush copied the "I don't like the job you're doing so I'm going to replace you mid-term" from Carter? Granted, Carter only did it to one attorney.

From a site you should admit is "good, unbiased news"...

How unusual is it for a U.S. attorney to be fired?

It's very unusual. Richard Nixon fired one when he was in office. [Jimmy] Carter fired a U.S. attorney who was making an investigation of a Democratic House member that he wanted to keep in office. Bill Clinton fired one. But it's really very rare for this to happen.

What site? http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=8356415

The story then goes on to try to spin how this many at once is "unprecedented" after saying that yes, he can do it. I guess even NPR can make mistakes, eh? (by admitting it's his to do).

By the way, that was about 10 seconds on google to find.

LGM-
It doesn't bother me so much that you think all republicans are crooks. What bothers me is that you think democrats are not. Face it, this is the politacal class we are talking about. They are motivated by things the normal person cannot fathom. Ninety percent of them, on either side of the aisle, I wouldn't even sit down and drink a cup of coffee with.
It's like my big a**. I don't like it. I try not to think about it. I see it as not as bad as many that are out there. Some days I convince myself that it is a perfectly stellar a**. But every morning when I pull on my pants I have to acknowledge the incontravertable evidence that is shown to me. That's the difference between me and you.

Peppermint
You're right--they just want to bloviate...in public.
President Bush's offer of a closed session and documentation would only give them the facts...and that's sure not what they want.
If they did, they'd take him up on his offer (which doesn't preclude bringing public suit afterward if they found reason to do so.
No, they know there's nothing to be found.
A closed session would rob them of the blover-tunity.

Where is the side...
that is truly conservative?

- limited constitutional government
- personal privacy
- personal responsibility
- strong national defense
- fiscally responsible government
- individual liberty

I don't see EITHER so-called side, with very few exceptions, taking a stance for conservative ideals. Do you?

No difference between Repubs and Dems
You folks are good at seeing the problems with the Democrats, and rightly so. Why is it that you are so very blind to what the Republicans are doing?

Did you notice that the Democrats essentially did nothing to limit funds for the Iraq war that they screamed so much about? They had the chance, but did nothing. They also have the same position as the Bush administration on open borders and amnesty. Increasing the size and scope of the federal government? Yup, they agree. Spend beyond all imagination? Yup, both so-called sides are doing it.

What's the REAL difference between the parties that you see? Gun control? Or, how about making us pay for their spending spree? The Democrats raise taxes; the Republicans print money and deflate the dollar. Same result.

So, what's the difference that YOU see in the 2 major parties today, that goes beyond rhetoric into action?

It's All About Power
When are the lib sheeple going to wake up and realize their reps only have ONE goal - acquire and maintain their power.

Very good point. That's all this witch hunt is about, politicizing. The dims have a lot of gall don't they? Do they think the entire public is fooled by their shenanigans.

Not to mention, our "tax" dollars at work. What a waste. I just hope these bums get thrown out in 08.
I can hardly stand looking at their faces any longer. Every time I see UpChuckie Schumer at the mike I switch the channel. He gets on my last nerve.

Now that the Democraps have
decided to issue subpoenas Bush should stop ALL efforts of accomodation. he should halt sending E-Mails and othe paperwork. He should halt anyone talking to the slugs ALL Republicans shouyld halt attendence at the so-called hearing and start holding press conferenced after the hearing is stopped on the same day to debunk the Democraps talking points. After all, that is all a hearing is for anyway. Just another method of getting in front of a camera and airing talking points.

peppermint
Don't you know, Bush et al are, according to Upchuck Schumer & "friends" guilty of the single most unforgivable offense imaginable, being Republican. This whole thing is based on a premise born of a delirium that would make Timothy Leary jealous(if he were alive). Schumer & the Sanctimonious Scumbags (sounds like a 50's doo-wop group)accuse Bush & Gonzales of politically motivated actons. Well, certainly they know whereof they speak. Schumer, Ried, et al can't take a dump without political motivation. It makes me wonder what their "pillow talk" is about. But "It's OK for them to be politically motivated, unlike the sh*tfit they throw when the other side even hints at anything that remotely resembles politics. Hypocracy, thy name is Democrat.

politicizing justice
Until Chuck Schumer comes clean on who authorized the release of Micheal Steele's credit records he needs to keep his yap shut. Why Republicans don't make that an issue day after day is beyond me. If there needs to be hearings lets have them over that. A federal law was clearly broken by a staffer and Schumer just blew it off. Make no mistake Schumer created an atmosphere where his staff felt they could get away with this sort of behavior. Every time these scoundrels get away with that sort of behavior they become emboldend. You can bet the farm that if a Dem wins in 08 the people involved will all be pardoned.

mamadoc
"Predictably, the Democratic response to this was to issue subpoenas. If they can get somebody under oath, they can probably find some nit-picking discrepancy which will provide grounds for an indictment."

Good point. After seeing what they did to Libby,who couldn't recall who told him what and when. That's all it takes, is a faulty memory these days and you're off to prison.

And, that's exactly what UpChuckie Schumer is wanting, some tiny discrepancy he can pounce on. He's already out there whining about no transcripts so they can look back and pick out any discrepancies no matter how small. Memory failures would be high on the list.

We all know the democraps don't give a hoot what these guys would say anyway. The dims just want to bloviate in public hearings. They make me ill.

The standards LGM
You are getting on my nerves,lgm. As usual, the left is changing the standards to suit. THERE IS NO SCANDAL HERE. FIRE AWAY.

It doesn't matter when or why these US attorneys were fired. They serve at the "pleasure" of the President. He can fire them whenever he chooses for whatever reason.
This is a big stink about nothing.

I agree, but I doubt this administration would fire Sutton, as he is marching right in line with their open borders, sell our country down the river, philosophy.

Bush has also done his best to destroy the separation of powers through his presidential signing statements and his belief in a unitary executive. Ever check these out? You should.

And Reagan before him
Reagan also replaced the US Atorneys when he came in. The difference is that he didn't replace them at the start of his second term, and he certainly didn't pick out a few for political reasons. He did not have officials of his administration lie to Congress about how the firings were done. Neither did Clinton. That piece of political expertise was invented by Bush, Jr. Let it be buried with him.

Dawn of a police state
"Bush has offered that Rove and others meet informally with the witchhunters and is providing mountains of e-mails and other documentary evidence..." Why fuel the fire?

Predictably, the Democratic response to this was to issue subpoenas. If they can get somebody under oath, they can probably find some nit-picking discrepancy which will provide grounds for an indictment.

If they get away with it, rest assured that it won't stop there. We can forget the concept of separation of powers, and can only sit back and witness the degeneration of what used to be called the greatest deliberative body in the world into the arbiters of a police state.

El Reno
Poor performance was the reason, I later learned, for the dumping of eight attorneys. As I have learned from The O'Reilly Factor, some attorneys were not prosecuting cases they should be prosecuting with LEGITIMATE problems (drugs, crime, et al). If you do not do your job, as we've seen on "The Apprentice," "You're Fired!".

If that is the reason, there is a fair reason. But it's not grounds to just say "dump 'em all" to protect Dan Rostenkowski, as Reno did.

ONE US ATTY NEEDS FIRING
There is one US Attorney that needs to be fired however. Johnny Sutton, US Attorney for the Western District of Texas, needs to be fired because he is confused about who he works for. Mr. Sutton seems to believe that his boss is the Mexican Consulate in Eagle Pass, Texas, deferring to a foreign official such important decisions as who to charge and what to charge them with. Consequently, in Mr. Sutton's district Americans are discriminated against by our own government while illegal alien dope smugglers are coddled.

Political Justice
1. Firing all 93 US Attorneys to get "our people" in place as one H. Clinton said.
2. Sending flame-throwing tanks into the compound of a religious group whose beliefs were not "liberal-secular" to "save the children."
3. Making her reputation on trumped-up show trials of day care owners using now discredited recovered(read suggested to a gullible mind)"memories" as the prima facie evidence.
4. Sending Federal Storm Troopers to a quiet Miami neighborhood to forcibly repatriate a young boy back to the "island paradise" known as Cuba.
5. Using the Department of Justice and IRS against political opponents(every dem going back to roosevelt).

They sure have a lot of gall.

Politicizing Justice
Not only were all 93 Justices removed without question when Clinton came into office. His wife cleaned house with the Travel office. But, firing them wasn't good enough for her; she had to trash their reputations in the process.

Somehow we need to stop these people - they have gone wild and we and our children are the ones who will suffer!!

It's good to be a lawyer
It's good to be a lawyer in this day and age, especially if your a dem/lib and Especially if you want to be a civil liberties lawyer.

This is what the libturds, lead by Schumcky Shumer, are doing to our country. Attacking the president for a little revenge for Bubba's impeachment. (which one do you think this guy is jonesing for, Bill or Hill). We are at war with an enemy that is probably enjoying this destruction from within and this is what they do to the sitting Pres. They are big cry babies, they just gotta get Rove on something.

They are making laws for how we think and what opinions we should have, creating lawsuits out of thoughts and bad memories. They can't beat us in real, honest debate, so they make us respect them with the courts and lawsuits. They say the discussions are over and that they have the consensus on (insert issue here).

It's all lies and a ruse to hide there real sneaky mission, Socialism. Hillary's favorite word. Share the wealth, socialized medicine, gov't controlled everything.

When are we going to put an end to it? When is Bush finally going to stand up to them, for us? Where is the person who is going to bring truth and honesty back to the table and help us take back the country?

I hope it's Rudolph Guiliani. He needs to finally put Shrill back in her place so she can finally go home and learn how to bake some cookies.

I guess being innocent
until proven guilty are not in the democraps repertoire. Witch hunts and witch trials are what half the country wants, the left, so they are getting their money's worth that's for sure.
