There are many great conservative websites out there, but none better than Townhall.com. I am proud to be a contributing columnist here and to be a part of such a talented group of writers.  I hope you'll join me in supporting the Townhall Fall Pledge Drive.

Jonathan Garthwaite and his excellent staff work hard every day to post the most current news, in depth analyses of current events, a top-notch blog, columns representing the finest mainstream conservative thinking in the country and a host of other useful items.

Townhall has established a reputation not only among grassroots conservatives – which is most important – but also among the so-called movers and shakers inside and outside the Beltway. When "libs" want to see what the right side is thinking, Townhall is one of their first stops.

In order to continue to provide the very best in opinion commentary, pay its able staff and serve up the other indispensable features of the site, Townhall requires more money than its ads can generate. It depends on the support of its readers. And based on the e-mails I receive from so many of you, I can say with conviction that no other site attracts a finer base of visitors.

Though it is not my favorite thing to solicit funds from anyone for any cause, no matter how worthy, I feel quite comfortable asking you – no pressure here – to please contribute to Townhall if you are able to spare some dollars at this point.

I think we are all working toward the same set of goals: limited government, maximum individual liberties under the rule of law, strong, bold, and aggressive national security and defense policy, lower taxation across the board, fiscal restraint, a sane, responsible immigration policy, entitlement reform, racial colorblindness, judicial restraint, social conservatism, less federal control over education, and a number of other things I’ve probably omitted. I realize not all of you agree with every one of my points, but I’ll forgive you.

And since I’m so graciously willing to forgive you, I ask that you reciprocate and forgive me for shamelessly asking for your donation again to keep this wonderful website humming along at the top of its game. Please make the sacrifice so that we can continue to wage this patriotic battle together. I don’t need to tell you that there are a lot of looney left websites out there and we don’t dare allow our voices to be silenced – or minimized in any way. I can think of no better way to ensure a powerful conservative presence on the Internet that truly is making a difference in the marketplace of ideas than to support Townhall.

Thank you for considering this and for doing all you do to make this the amazing site that it is.
