Poll
Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Over the 4th of July holiday, I, like many of my colleagues, was able to speak with hundreds of constituents. Folks were more eager than ever to talk to me about unaffordable energy prices. And when they asked what Washington is doing to address this issue, unfortunately, I had to tell them nothing. But not because of a lack of Republican will.

Despite Democrat promises of ‘common sense’ plans to lower gas prices, the average price of a gallon of gas has increased by more than 76 percent since they took control of Congress.

Republicans understand that advancing America’s energy security, and working to bring down gas prices, will require a comprehensive approach that promotes responsible domestic energy production, increased conservation and efficiency standards, and robust research and development to expand the use and application of alternative energy sources.

This is why I introduced legislation this week aimed at securing America’s Energy Independence over the next 15 years. It is no longer a question of ‘if’ we can do this – it is a question of ‘will.’

Poll after poll shows that the American people favor Republican-led American energy production policies. And Democrat leaders know that if a vote to increase American energy production was permitted, it would handily pass.

But there is nothing common sense about the Democrats standing idly by – blocking the will of the American people – while working-class families continue to struggle with the pain at the pump and the growing burden high energy costs place on family budgets.

As part of the continued Republican-led efforts to increase American energy supply – efforts supported by over 70 percent of Americans – I offered a discharge petition to force a vote on Democrat Congressman Rick Boucher of Virginia’s and fellow Illinois Republican Congressman John Shimkus’ coal-to-liquid promotion bill. This legislation would not only have tremendous impact on my home state of Illinois, but the entire nation.

This is a common sense approach to bring down the price at the pump and wean America off foreign oil. America, after all, is the Saudi Arabia of coal. In fact, according the Energy Department, our reserves represent over a quarter of the world’s entire coal supply. This is enough to last well beyond the year 2200. It is mindless for us to not use the abundant amounts of coal that we have to our advantage.

Cutting edge technologies have allowed us to utilize coal’s diverse potentials. Not only are we using coal in cleaner and more environmentally sound methods, but importantly, we can turn coal into gasoline and diesel. Our military is heavily invested in using coal-to-liquid technologies for jet fuel, so there is also a major national security element in this source of energy.

Not only will the development of coal-to-liquid and environmentally friendly sequestration technologies increase our energy security, but these advancements will also help create better, higher-paying American jobs.

In order to compete in the global economy, with China and India playing growing roles, we must get serious about harnessing our own resources, especially our abundant coal reserves in newer and cleaner forms.

The Boucher-Shimkus bill will allow us do to just that. More coal-to-liquid means more energy and a stronger economy.

We must commit ourselves to an “all of the above” energy approach, with a major focus on increasing domestic production and expanding alternatives fuels, while increasing efficiency and conservation standards.

This is a common goal to all Americans – Republican and Democrat.

The time to act is now. My Republican colleagues and I – along with many rank-and-file Democrats, and a clear majority of the American people – will continue to demand that Speaker Pelosi allow a vote on these efforts before Congress adjourns in August.

Newton said … … …

We have all heard of Newton’s Third Law,

"Every action has an equal and opposite reaction."

So don’t hold your breath, but just wait until some Enviornut determines that the use of all those windmills has changed the air movement beyond those windmills.

If there is an action of the wind on those windmills, there is an equal reaction on the movement of the wind.

That causes tornados, changes the movement of clouds and that changes the rainfall, and the bottom line, those windmills are the cause for global warming.

Just think of all the pollution caused by the trucks that deliver those windmills to their tax deductible location.

Put them where the sun don't shine

Solar water heaters are seen everywhere in Greece. I remember the man who owned a large campground in Greece. He was so proud of his “free” hot water, until I suggested he figure the cost to originally install it, and now, just a few years later, the cost to repair or replace the roof-top equipment that “produced” all that “free” hot water, and already needs repairs.

That was only the money cost to him, not the environmental costs to produce and deliver the equipment. “Free” was not so “free.”

I also asked him how people were able to take a shower at 11 PM, after his sun heated water ran out. He didn’t care.

Why doesn’t someone figure the cost to the environment to build any kind of power generating system. Years ago an article in the LA Times by a non-nuclear idiot said, “… a nuclear power plant must operate for 18 years before realizing one net calorie of energy.” Of course the article carefully did not state how many years are needed to gain “net” calories from a newly built coal or oil fired plant, a windmill, solar panels, or a hydro-electric dam.

I lived in the Palm Springs area for years, and watched the ugly windmills by the thousands being spread al over the beautiful hills and valleys. If someone had dared to put a sign, or a useful building in those spots, they would have been shot by the enviornuts.

But what is the total cost in natural resources to build and install a windmill, a solar panel? And that must include the cost of the wear and tear on the roads, when they gather the resources to create, assemble, install, maintain, these tax shelters.

Oh and by the way. What do you do when the sun is not shining and the wind is not blowing? And don’t tell me that batteries are an environmentally safe answer.

Jersevet
Modern windmills for power generation have a lot more in common with airplane wings than with 19th century Dutch windmills.

The blades are computer-designed, optimized, and tested in wind tunnels.

Check out the eere website for background.

Jerseyvet
Well, we can disagree. Bird deaths are no longer a problem with the monopole supports. They were a problem when the support towers had lots of perches for the birds. Monopole is a single, slender rod supporting the windmill.

As evidence of this, even in crazy California, windmill projects with monopoles are proceeding. The enviro-whackos out here took their best shot, and whiffed.

Positives of windmills, compared to coal conversion and nuclear, include:

No toxic wastes; (coal has some serious toxics, and nuclear...can we agree they glow in the dark? For thousands of years?)

No Carbon dioxide production, which I personally do not believe has anything to do with climate change, but it certainly has a lot to do with environmentalists' obstructionism.

Fast to bring to market;

Proven technology -- no need for trial-and-error.

Wide-spread acceptance from locals -- wind farms look beautiful to the land owners in North Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Crops grown under them just fine, and cattle graze just fine under them.

Also, the left's mantra

about how drilling will not effect the price of gasoline may have some truth.

However, since 2/3rds of the U.S. oil supply comes from foreign nations and 1/3rd from non-friendly nations, every extra gallon we pump in America will reduce our dependence on foreign oil by the same amount.

Last night on Cspan

they were showing Rep. Steven King, 5th District Iowa talking about the U.S. energy situation. A Rep. from Pennsylvania also did a short presentation.

Relevant facts.

Some Reps. have been trying to pass a comprehensive energy bill since before the Dems took control.

Alternative fuels now represent less than 1 % of U.S. energy production.

Oil is the largest provider of energy in the U.S.

Off-shore exploration shows there is oil off-shore, but the amount has not been determined because exploration is illegal.

Every developed country with a shore on the ocean is drilling off-shore.

Natural gas is being used to convert power plants from coal to natural gas.

Natural gas has quadrupled in price as this conversion has progressed.

Natural gas that is purchased for $13.00/thousand can be purchased for $1.30/thousand in Trinidad.

Natural gas is a major cost in manufacturing and industry in the U.S.

This difference in natural gas prices is driving many manufacturers off-shore with a corresponding decrease in manufacturing employment and creates a negative force on U.S. economic growth.

In addition, many citizens heat their homes with natural gas. The speakers projected that home heating costs will double this winter from last winter.

Pelosi and the rest of the Dem leadership are the ones stopping Congress from even considering a comprehenzive energy bill.

Steve King would make a good V.P. candidater (that is my opinion after listening to him last night).

Wind Energy Map of U.S.
can be found here.

http://www1.eere.energy.gov/windandhydro/wind_potential.htm l

Note that the green area in North Texas is pretty much where T. Boone is building his wind farm. That is one of the best areas in the entire U.S.

He is no dummy.

Blowing in the Wind
Energy guy, I respect your expertise and knowledge but I still think it's a foolish idea when we still haven't exploited all our coal and oil resources. Filling up the landscape with windmills leads to a lot of dead birds. First, let's try nuclear powered plants and solar generated energy. Let's leave the windmills to the Old West filling up the wells for pioneer ranches and farmers! Windmills are a loser in my opinion, not withstanding the Dutch success. It's 19th Century technology.

Pickens plan
Jerseyvet,

The Pickens plan is simple, use wind to power part of the grid reducing natural use from power plants. Then use the extra natural gas which we have enough for maybe 100 years to power cars and trucks. This is a plan to reduce our energy dependence on the unfriendly nations in 10-15 years and also gives us time to form a National energy production emergency effort to develop all forms of energy on a fast track plan.

If the nation gets 100% behind energy production, we can have resonable energy for every use. This National commitment will create millions of high paying jobs, build 100's of new factories making parts for all the new facilities to make energy. Solar, wind, hydroelectric, geothermal, nuclear, coal and oil well development all playing a part.

This could be the :Second industrial revolution in America. Commit now it will work.

Correction -
that should be 50 meters above the ground. (roughly 164 feet)

JerseyVet re T Boone Pickens
T. Boone is certainly not crazy. He is likely the sanest and savviest man alive. He is a self-made billionaire in oil and gas, and had quite a big splash on Wall Street.

His energy plan has a lot of merit. And yes, there is sufficient wind energy available across the Great Plains to supply all our electric needs. see http://www.WSJonline.com.

The DOE recently completed a Wind Energy Map of the U.S. Do a search on those terms. They concluded that with windmills having their hub at 100 meters above ground, there is far more than enough wind to get the job done. Hence the frenzy of activity by GE in their wind turbine division.

T. Boone, a legend in the oil business, knows his stuff. His plan is to switch natural gas away from burning in power plants, and use that natural gas to power vehicles including cars and trucks. Then, replace the power with wind-derived power.

Note that T. Boone has positioned himself well for this, as he is a major player in both wind energy and natural gas.

And that, my friends, is the American Way.

High Prices Are Good
things. High prices lead to alternatives. If gasoline was at $1 per gallon, nobody would buy a hybrid car and pay the additional $5000 or so for the extra gas mileage. It would be a waste of money. Ok, a few lib-nuts probably would, but Toyota would never sell the things if their market was five people.

But, at $4 per gallon for gasoline, we are finally seeing some innovation in alternatives. In automobiles, plug-in hybrids from http://www.AFSTrinity.com, and from http://www.Aptera.com are real. Pure electric vehicles are available now from Tesla. It is fairly expensive at $100,000, but man, what a car!

Eaton has a hybrid drive system for 18-wheelers. Even railroad engines are getting such systems.

Too-profitable car companies (Honda) is making a money-losing fuel-cell car and essentially giving them away as a marketing gimmick. These are seriously dangerous, having a high-pressure hydrogen tank at 5,000 pounds per square inch.

Congressman Roskan, the fuel-cell cars should be banned for safety reasons. These are truly unsafe at any speed.

Just today, Totota announced they are idling their factory in San Antonio (TX) that makes their gas-guzzling pickup truck. But, they announced another factory to build the Prius. Americans can get out of the GM or Ford or Chrysler gas guzzler that achieves 20 mpg, and drive a Prius that achieves 55 or better.

Even Volkswagen now has their hot little Jetta TDI for sale. It has a diesel engine and achieves about 50 miles per gallon.

High prices. What a good thing!

Pickens: Blowing in the Wind
T. Boone Pickens, who has been drilling for oil for decades, seems to think windmills can solve our energy problems, according to a WSJ column. Is he nuts? I've read if you covered one whole state with windmills you still wouldn't generate enough energy to fulfill the average state's needs.

Some TH blogger may be able to explain his crazy plan but it doen't make sense, or enough energy, to justify their construction to me.

What are we thinking
Get permission from Congress to save the economy by having energy independance.

Get permission from Congress not local government who's constituents are most affected.

Get permission from someone representing the North East about what is to happen in Montana.

Makes little sense to allow a Senator so much power. We should not have to deal with two legislative bodies. How about keep decisions about the states ability to produce income in the state where we can keep a close eye on them?

Imagine free electricity

50 to 60 years ago an Atomic Scientist told me that electricity would be free by the years 2000, because it would cost more to meter, mail bills, and cash the checks, than the power would cost.

Imagine free electricity to charge the battery in your car?

Thank you Eviornuts, with your help the world won't be worth living in.

to reni
You are absolutely right. We must do everything. We will run out of oil eventually, and we will either have alternatives or be living in caves.
In the meantime, we need to transition, and we need to drill to get us through. Remember, the oil prices hurt the poor the hardest.

Drill Drill
OIL Shale coal Nuclear, yeah that I can live with. If the sun doesn't shine no solar-if the wind doesn't blow no wind power. I want oil! It's tried and true. Work on all the way out there possibilities after we get the black gold that built our country. Global warming is a bunch of hooey, money maker for ole Al. 100 million in the last 5 years, course he loves it.
The middle-east is powder keg and when it blows we will wish we had drilled in every possible place and used every bit of our fossil fuel sources because 4$ would be cheap compared what it will be in a WW III

Time to act is now?
B2slim, Silver Lion and others: great comments.

My 2 cents:
Complete disregard for long term planning by Republicans. I know, let's wait until the Dems have control and then whine. If elected Republicans had brains & guts they would own the White House, Congress, Senate and the Supreme Court. But where are we now? The time to act what a long time ago and the Republicans missed it. Now we will all pay by watching our transition to socialism.

Learn to lead or retire. Reaction is not leadership.

Dear Congressman
Please begin using the power of your office on the following program:

1) Drill in ANWR. The caribou will adapt.
2) Drill off FL, CA & anywhere else off shore there's oil. The tourists will adapt.
3) Continue developing the technology to make supplies that are currently uneconomical, such as "shale oil," economically feasible.
4) Push the use of the coal-to-diesel conversion process developed by the Germans before WW II. Diesel comprises approximately 20% of our oil consumption; and, if coal were oil, the US would be Saudi Arabia.
5) Advocate a program similar to JFK's pledge to put a man on the moon in a decade, in which the US commits to producing 75% of its electricity with nuclear power by 2020. If France can do it, we can.
6) Finally, in addition to all this, explore "alternative" energy sources.

Thank you,
One American Taxpaying Voter

Hey Rondak
I think Gull Island is a liberal herring.
If you search USGS, the only thing mentioned is the Valdez oil spill. When you google it, all you come up with are stories with no creditable sources.

Hey Peter Roskam
A congressman that didn't mention Global Warming! Not once!
I don't believe it.
I'm going to ignore the "environmentally friendly sequestration", because I know you were not talking about C02. Right?
When I see a Congressman refer to Global Warming, then I know that the Congressman is a liar and a thief. I know that the Congressman is for Cap and Trade, which is another way of saying "State Socialism".
It's kind of like the saying "How do know when a laywer is lying to you?" -- When you see his lips move! The same applies here except the key here is: "Global Warming".

to: Rondak
I listened to what this man had to say on the video of him and I have to tell you it is bunk. There are many factuals errors in his pronouncements.

As a petroleum engineer of 35 years, I can tell from his words that he has little knowledge of the oil industry and the evidence appears underwhelming to say the least.

From my vantage point, it appears this man is just seeking attention and book royalties.

Wendy
for president!!!!!

Coal will be in your Stocking
I remember when I was a kid my mother would tell me Santa is going to fill your stocking with coal because you have been bad boy. Well, Santa if it will fuel my car and save me some greenbacks, FILLER UP BIG GUY.

sorta right and sorta wrong
We must commit to a "MUCH of the above" approach to acquiring energy resources. Ethanol is a scam, pure and simple. First, we have to subsidize farmers; then we have to subsidize refiners; and THEN we have to buy the stuff, stuff that has less energy intensity than gasoline while polluting more.

"Energy independence" is a mantra that plays well with the economics illiterati (McCain and Obama included), but is another scam. As Tom DeLay once said, "Demagoguery always beats data."

The USA imports 80% of our semiconductors. Should we strive for computer independence? We import almost all of our uranium. Should we wean ourselves from both foreign oil AND foreign nuclear? They have real trouble growing lots of corn in Saudi Arabia. Do you see free trade opportunities in all of tis?

.Congress Roskam
I received a long letter from my Congressman yesterday, with all the things that need to be done concerning energy.
I keep telling this story but nobody listens!
I have written to my One of my U.S. Senators on the subject at length but I have yet received any answer.
Here's the story as told by Lindsey Williams, Chaplain of the Alaska Pipe line."
A well on Gull Island, Alaska came in the 70's but was immediately classified by the Government. This well has enough natural gas and oil in it to last America 200 years. He and an Executive of Atlantic Richfield watched it come in.
It is true that it would take one year from the time the well is opened to get it through the pipeline and to our refineries then to the pump, but it IS OUR OIL.
Most of you would draw back in horror at what the EPA and the environmentalist in Alaska did to hinder the building of the Pipeline. Because of these two, the cost of the Pipeline escalated from 2 billion dollars to 12 Billion dollars. Yet perseverance of of 9 cooperating oil companies finally got it built.
Congress knows all of this and yet we get all this gobbledegook about drill, drill and it's gonna take years even if we find oil.
Folks, not only is there enough oil in Alaska to sustain America for years to come but there is a pipeline across Wyoming that has been shut down for years that could take oil to the West Coast.
If you are REALLY, REALLY, interested in why this government coverup. Read the story. The Book is called "The Energy Non-Crisis" by Lindsey William, Chaplian of the Alaska Pipe line.
Now you know what the source is! Go find it and quit whinning and Congressman tell your constituants the truth!

Come on now!
Using coal might harm a tree or a blade of grass. No way!

We know the drill
Congressman Roskam, I sincerely believe that you and your type of GOP politician ARE the problem with this country.

You support drilling, but you sneak in there your commitment to "conservation" (?), mandating increased fuel efficiency standards, and funding "alternative energy" R&D - whatever the hell anyone ever means by that - ostensibly with taxpayer dollars.

With allies like you, who needs enemies? The GOP has constantly been capitulating to the left on environmentalism and de-industrialization for a very long time. Do you honestly believe that after all these years of your capitulations, we conservatives can be fooled and bought off with a few token drilling grants - which should have been ours in the first place, and which you should have secured years ago? Do you honestly think that we don't see through your empty grandstanding?

We see right through your act. We know your tactics by now. We know how you operate. You pretend to be opposed to big government, you pretend to be for the free market, you pretend that you stand opposed to the Democrats, when in fact, the Democrats could never pull off their schemes without your help. Look for a major fascist piece of legislation, and Republicans made it happen, while Democrats took credit for it, while the country paid the price for it.

We are watching you like a hawk, and come November, it will be sayonara to those of you who have failed to grab a pair and stand up for limited government capitalism - all the time, not just when you think it won't cost you votes. Yes, do push for drilling. But don't you dare capitulate on the "conservation," mandatory fuel standards, and alternative energy boondoggles!

.....
----Energy Independence - A Question of Will----

And when there's no will give them fear. Then they will find the will.

Rush
was talking about that this week, he said the
Repubs should use every venue, he especially
mentioned talk radio. His thought is that no matter the time of day, if there is someone on
talk radio, hammering away at the DemoRATS determination to not allow us to be energy
independent, there invariably will be people driving and filling up, or having filled up or going to fill up. Gas station trips can cause
b.p. to rise, listening to the reason may make it get higher but, it will educate the public.
The DemonRATS don't want us to get too mad, but
it's there, seething below the surface. The
Repubs have a golden opportunity to turn the
argument around and put the DemonRATS on defense. Instead they seem to have all conceded
defeat in a year that should be a dunkball for them. They are spineless wimps, with a few that do have the backbone, and I mean FEW.
Pelosi has tied up other bills too, the fence,
is another one. Anything that will get her
masters knickers in a twist is tied up, and doesn't get a floor vote.

Hey Congressman,
Since impeachment proceedings begin in the House of Representatives, why don't you start impeaching or censuring any obstructionist politician that hinders what is beginning to snowball into a national security issue?

YOUR party had CONTROL of Congress for 6 years WITH a REPUBLICAN President, yet hardly did anything to address energy concerns. For C____ sakes, don't any of you on the HILL represent us? No more Drill, Drill, Drill, from me...I'm pushing Impeach, Impeach, Impeach!

Hi, aurorawatcher,
I understand the difficulty of getting through with our message, however difficult does not equal impossible. If the voting public in general is to receive the truth, the conservatives MUST find a way. I rarely watch tv anymore, not even local news. If I must, then I watch Fox. I've been turned off to their news lately due to the fact that they've started touting american idol, movie star scandals, etc. If I wanted that kind of cr ah er stuff, I'd watch ms tv and the alphabet channels.

Mainstream media
My husband and I were watching a show on CNN the other night (I don't remember which one because I didn't choose it) and one thing we noticed was that the discussion was dominated by the moderator who weighted things heavily for the liberal pundit. The conservative guy was trying to get a word in edgewise and he kept getting shot down. CNN was not going to let him speak.

My husband went to the bathroom and I switched channels to Fox. Same general topic -- oil prices, the environment, all that. Hannity and Combs were on, Mary Katherine Ham was the conservative pundit and I'm afraid I don't remember the name of the liberal guy, but it was interesting that they let the liberal speak and then asked MKH to respond adn then asked him to respond to her. Halfway through BJ said "This isn't the same show, is it?" I said "Not even the same network." He could really tell!

So, yeah, it would be great if the GOP could get the message out to the MSM, but it's not lake of spine that prevents that. It's lack of opportunity and lack of respect when they get there. Liberal hosts assure that they never get to make a full statement so they end up sounding incoherent and poorly informed when in fact, they were never given the opportunity to present their case.

Try it! Switch between CNN and Fox sometime and you'll see what I mean.

Energy and control
Mizz Pelosi promiced that when they got control over congress they would help with price of gas. Well we see how they helped, gas has increased 70% since they took over. Our dollar value has gone down,I am sure a lot has to do with all our money going over seas to buy oil. Heaven forbid we drill here at home. The Republicans need to get some back bone and tell all the liberals and environmentalist to wake up and let us get to our own energy here at home. Chinca is drilling by Cuba, but we can't. I have been saying all along that this Global Warming scheme is being used as a back door, to get control over our energy, which is control over our economy, which will be total control over our lives. Look what the EU is working on, carbon credit cards for personal use, I am sure in the near future they will also be telling them how many children they can have. Republicans stand up and tell the public the truth, and tell Big Al that you know his GW is just a money making scheme.

Mr. Roskam
Sir, kindly get a group of like-minded congressmen together. Please start taking the case to the media. Townhall is fine, but the mainstream media is the place to get those that only hear the dem spin. The we can't drill our way out, the greedy big business, the unscrupulus speculator spins that are coming from the dems. Say it loud and say it often. Start having press conferences on the capitol steps. But start shouting.

Vito
With all the choices the internet offers, you don't have to read any. You can skip over them or go somewhere else. You surely don't have tp try to impress us with your worthless comments.Don't let the door hit you in the touchas on the way out.

Hitchhiker
Don't bother speaking like an adult to Vito, you're wasting time.

His goal in life is pinning all of life's woes on Bush and the Jews.

Vito
writes, "How many of these "Bash the evil Dems/Libs for rising gas prices" articles do we have to read, anyway? "

As many as it takes Vito. As many as it takes. Around here, we bash the evil Dems/Libs every day for everything else they do besides gas prices. Way back when this policy was formulated, you and your representatives decided total and complete protection of the environment was worth more than oil and gas production. Do you still feel that way? Of course you do. You are probably incapable of understanding the trade offs involved. Just demand no oil production and cheap prices and blame the oil companies when they don't deliver. Simple. Ask your hero Maxine Waters how to solve the problem.

coal to liquid fuel
Germany used this technology during WW2, It is not new technology. thats how they got their gasoline for their war machine. But this will get blocked like drilling, building new refineries and nuclear power plants by the Greenies and tree hugers and the good old Democrats!!!

Drill Drill Drill
Drill for oil
natural gas
build more refineries
increase refining capacity
coal coal caol
coal tar sands
coal gasification
nuclear
shale oil
natural gas storage
wind power
solar
biofuels
conservation
DRILL DRILL DRILL
Start now. The sooner started, the sooner online.
Drill off both coasts, all over AL, process shale oil, recover from coal tar sands, expand natural gas use by more storage, use windmills anywhere they can be built, stop ethanol subsidies to stop raising the price of corn, use thermal, conserve, get out and walk.
DO IT ALL, BUT
DRILL DRILL DRILL

Hmm...
Coal doesn't sound like a complete solution to me, but I'd believe it could be part of a healthy step forward.

Let's talk coal/wind/solar/hydrogen hybridized with better lithium ion storage. And by "talk" I mean "pay money to build infrastructure."

Oh yeah, and we should be riding bikes and buses more often.

The BIG HURT
What people don't seem to digest is the outflow of $$$. We've got a hole in our pocket and our silver is flowing right in the gutter. It's gone forever and ever and ever.

If we stitch up this hole, we can better deal with Health Care and Immigration...because... our money will stay in our pocket.

I'm for drilling - but - you can't use a Hummer to get your milk - it's insane. Everything has to be on the table.

SPINELESS GOP !

The GOP could sweet the Senate and House races if they had the SPINE ::::::::::

Energy and food costs will be the campaign issue:

PROBLEM with GOP they are spineless and refuse to represent the people:

1. illegal immigration
2. DRILL
3. stop the Health care madness, the GOVERNMENT can't even run the VA or Medicare
4. STOP the obscene regulations
5. GET a functional educational policy
6. STOP THE WASTE FRAUD AND ABUSE
7. STOP burning our food in the gas tank
8. DRILL

ALL WARS are a point and time in History they come and go:

HOWEVER::: the plan for the economic destruction of this nation by the DEMOCRATS and OBAMA will destroy this country
