Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

I believe a revolution is coming to America. Just as Hurricane Ike slammed into my home state of Texas, I am more and more convinced as every year passes that a needed voter revolution is brewing and will arrive imminently at America's shores and ballot boxes.

The birth pains for this voter revolution can be seen through the highs and lows of current political polarities. I believe it was felt through the surge of the constitutional community supporting Rep. Ron Paul. I believe it was felt in evangelicals' and conservatives' frustration with our present presidential picks. I believe it is felt in the heightened responses to John McCain's "Hail Mary throw" for vice president in Sarah Palin. And I believe it is felt in Americans' virtually unanimous disapproval rating (roughly 91 percent) for Congress.

Of course, America has some good congressmen, such as Ron Paul. But the fact is those good politicians are few and far between. The majority of them need to be replaced, and the rest of them need our help to do it.

A voter revolution would usher in politicians who make sweeping and radical changes, including disposing of the unconstitutional Internal Revenue Service and replacing it with a "fair tax." These are leaders who genuinely commit to the America established by our Founders, drastically cut government waste, immediately stop pork-barrel spending, reject political perks and lobbyists, quit borrowing from other nations (such as China), cease imperialism and nation building, lessen the flow of so much government aid overseas, and bring back production and pride in American commerce, etc.

The way I see it, there are three major common-sense steps toward a voter revolution:

First, examine your representatives from the top down, and ask yourself: Do they represent the people? Do they stand by the Constitution? Do they reduce big government, taxes and our deficit? Are they working to protect our borders and sovereignty? Will they stand up to governmental status quo and gridlock? Do they have the type of character that can resist the temptations of political power and special interest groups?

Second, if your answer is "no" to any of the above, get them out of office. Petition their dismissal; publicize their political problems; and muster community consent in order to vote others in. Call them by name on blogs, and explain to people why they should be ousted; then do it. No more talk. Stay the course, no matter how long it takes.

Third, fight to vote in solid, reputable, law-abiding, Constitution-honoring representatives. Half our problem today is that we have been duped to vote into office individuals who have no integrity. A politician's integrity must precede our interests because if leaders are above reproach, then they are more likely to do what they've promised. And if you can't find a more upstanding citizen than you are, then consider running for public office. It's time to get out of the bleachers and onto the battlefield.

You know the words of the British orator Edmund Burke, "Evil flourishes when good men do nothing." Well, evil has flourished for too long. It's time for the good people to rise up in another voter revolution. Don't be like the 90,000 people who ignored the evacuation orders as Hurricane Ike approached. Don't just sit back and hope it turns out OK. Get involved. Start in your community. Fight for your country and state. And together, we can reawaken our country.

It's time we all revive the revolutionary spirit of America's Founders and reinvigorate their legacy. I've experienced a renewed sense of appreciation and commitment to them, and in my new book, "Black Belt Patriotism," I talk about how a spark of their passion can turn into a raging cultural fire:

"It doesn't take many people to foster a revolution. Jesus did it with twelve disciples. George Washington did it with his few suffering troops at Valley Forge. And we can do it today. We can set a new direction for America with people like you and me, who through our efforts in our communities and at the ballot box and in our personal lives can make this country everything it should be, everything our nation's Founders wanted it to be. America has fallen asleep at the wheel and it's time for her to wake up before it's too late. It's up to us; and this book is my way of showing where we can start."

I heard once that it only took 2 percent of our population to create our nation and that it still would take only 2 percent to change it today. If you don't like what you see in America, then join me by being a part of the new 2 percent. If you're with me, then you know the road ahead will not be easy and the war will not be won easily, but the rewards (I promise you) will be ultimately glorious.

CHUCK-
I WILL VOTE FOR MCCAIN -PALIN THATS A START!OBAMA THE FALSE MESSIAH DUDE,COULD NEVER GET MY VOTE OR YOURS,RON PAUL NEEDS TO GET ON THE MCCAIN TRAIN FOR NOW SO THAT B.HUSSEIN WILL LOOSE!OTHER WISE IT KINDA LOOKS LIKE A FREE TOASTER OVEN!

Wake Up America!
Well put Chuck! I fully agree with you now is the time to stand and make ourselves heard. It's time to condemn the contemptible, throw out the trash and replace them with Americans who genuinely love this country more than themselves, power and money. Keep sounding the battle cry and I will keep writing, talking and encouraging my circle of influence to wake up and grab the bull by the horns before we all are doomed.

I've long thought that if
we could get every American to vote the ooposite party then they normally do for Congress we could vastly improve the country and our representation. It would remove most if not all incumbents and it would shake things up with MA having Republican Senators and Utah having Democrat. It couldn't be any worse.

Misguided Idealism
Many good people have been sent to Congress only to be corrupted by the place. Sending more good people only means more good people will be corrupted. I don't care if the biggest crooks in the world get elected to Congress, as long as they are not able to get away with anything. No matter whom you elect, they need to be supervised. First of all, they need to spend less time in Washington and more time at home. All legislatures need to be part-time, say, meeting every other year. Second, their ability to tax should be drastically reduced. A Constitional Amendment to make any proposed tax change require a 2/3 majority of both houses. Third, the amount of money the government takes should be a small fraction of what it is today. If taxes were cut by 50% every year for 4 years, income taxes would be at about the right level.

Cat T
Took the words right out of my fingers..those
Senators on the GOP are moral cowards, more worried about their own sorry hides than have a decent energy bill. When I see these nincompoops being bi partisan on something as serious as our national security and our economy, I start wondering where's the money coming from. These stupid stunts don't just come from nowhere..like Pelosi, they must have vested interests in alternative dreams.

Sayonara, Chuck
The gang of 10-20, the gang that says "Don't drill here or here or here, only here. And only if their state governments approve it??" What are you talking about, Chuck. These are your heros, Chuck?

So long, farewell, Au'voir, auf wiedersehen,
I'd like to stay and taste my first champagne
So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehen, goodbye,
I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye,
Good bye!

Term Limits
This IS needed for ALL Government. Good people become complacent or out of touch when they've been in a particular environment too long. Also another thing would be to eliminate the tax payer pension that each member of congress currently is "entitled" too. I think that will light a fire under congress to resolve the social security and Medicare funding crisis looming in the very near future.

Power requires projection
Congressman Paul's isolationism is not strength. Howard Taft is dead.

America needs to respect and re-establish a manufacturing base, then goodbye trade deficit. When did it become chic to turn production into service and call it progress?

The constitution and its interpretation require more analysis than we saw from Congressman Paul over the past year. For one to wave the document and tell all what it means is tantamount to the lunatic left telling us how to run a military. The constitution requires scholarship.

You are right Mr. Norris that the country needs a revolution akin to the 94th Congress and Speaker Gingrich. We must not look to false and simple prophets however.

Hey chuck..If I was easily used...
I would be a Liberal!...
Nice try though :)

Americans need to know: America's Broke
I am praying that McCain/Palin wins this election, as I think they are the only ones who can save our country. However, Americans also need to change the status of our Senate & House of Representatives, and to take a close look at the records/principles of their state and local politicians. If we let the Democrats retain control of Congress, they will surely put only liberal judges into the Supreme Court that want to rewrite our Constitution.
Yesterday I discovered the Glenn Beck TV pgm on HNN (Ch. 202 on Dish). He ran the first of a 5-part series on Expose: America's Broke. It was about his stats that--continuing as we are-- Health Care (Medicare)& Social Security will consume the US entire GDP within ~20 some years, leaving none for the rest of US needs, including education, defense, infrastructure, etc. Please find this pgm on your TV or find his web site and inform yourself and your friends about his and his experts' views.
EdieB

Well stated Mr. Norris
There are enough irate voters to begin a revolution. I agree- if they are incumbent and part of the problem, get them out. Term limits would go a long way to helping the problem.

One Slight Problum Chuck
OK a few more than one.
My Congresswoman is great, your's suck. That is the attitude of most Americans. With that said, all of us keep voting in the same idiots every 2 or 6 years.

As long as those in congress owe their allegiance to the party, Dems or GOPers we are doomed. No Congressman or Senator wants to get the party leadership mad at them. It is those "leaders" that assign the committee chairs and thus the power. If you want Congress to change you have to change the way the leadership is selected and then allow for a no confidence vote at anytime. Today would be a good start.

It will take a Constitutional Amendment to allow for term limits and that has to start in Congress. Fat chance.

Now with this we have to look at who is running . On one side you have 2 people who have bucked their party by either going after those in their party or even reaching across the to the other side to get things done. Let's see who has done that? Hint.. it ain't the team from the blue(left) side.

Just say no to the "O"!

Semper Fi America

Gunny J

Exactly
Mr. Norris you've stated brilliantly what's been on my mind for quite some time. I've wanted to boot out 85 to 90 of all of Congress, and only keep the remainder to train and hand off. Too many politicians on both sides (I'm a registered Rep.) have made a career out of politics because they taste the power and can't stay away. Not enough have done anything such as run a business or serve in the military. And way too many are lawyers. Enough is enough! Little to no tax expenditures, use a fair tax system to get rid of the underground economy, stop the special interests and lobbyists from ruling and get this country out of the hands of two idiots that won't step down even in the face of a single digit approval rating.

SnoShoe6
You hit the nail on the head. With the Dems, it is always party first, country and its people second.

It is really worth the effort to continue to bring truth to the fore on these blogs. I think that we are going to see more and more flaming twits in here who make no sense at all. Personally, I think that they are being paid to wear us down.

Being older, wiser, but still a fighter for beloved America, I am committed to keep posting until the polls close.

Thanks for your encouraging words.

Start with TERM LIMITS!
The greatest threats to America come from within.

Democrats
MSM
Trial Lawyers
Excessive Taxes & Regulations on business
Government size and incompetence out of control
Entitlements
Failed Educational systems

California, under liberal administrations for a decade or two is a perfect example of the bankrupt mediocrity we are facing if we continue electing liberals. CA is bankrupt financially, economically, morally and spiritually with a credit rating like that of sinkhole Bolivia.

You almost lost me....
with the gang of 10/20 comment. I don't like their Bill. It doesn't (to quote Michael Steele) "Drill, Baby Drill". I think America needs the the American Energy Act. It is a comprehensive bill to lower gas prices, encourage conservation, promote alternative fuels, and increase American energy production. It is the Bill written by the group of Congressmen that stayed in Congress through the recess to petition Pelosi to call Congress back for a vote. It is a simple, logical Bill. (I wish John McCain would take a serious look at the proposed Bill.)

Other than that, I agree with your article. Out with the old, in with the new. Congressmen who love America and have fresh, new ideas for her future. We ARE a great Country. God bless America!

(Texas needs to reelect John Cornyn though. He's worked hard for the state of Texas.)

RON PAUL REVOLUTION STANCES
Why else do you think there was a Ron Paul Revolution??? Before you can change anything the DIEBOLD Voting machines need to be changed or we are forever screwed!!! They are not tamper proof. The election has been a fraud so far. You won't hear it in the Communist corporate controled media. Go to youtube and see voter fraud or go to http://www.blackboxvoter.org
I will tell you this, Mc Cain didn't win this election or New Hampshire! It's fraud. Change these machines. The insiders are rigging these machines for their benefit not America's benefit. OUR VOICES WON'T BE HEARD UNTIL THEN & ONLY THEN! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO??? CRIMINALS ARE RUNNING THIS COUNTRY!

RON PAUL
The only one worthy of being President

Shawn writes

You are so right -- these people don't care about social security or medicare solvency they are getting much better paid for by the overburdened taxpayer who makes no where near their annual salary.

Another thing almost every Senator is now very wealthy -- they don't represent the rest of us.

Prophet
How true. With higher taxes and a congress that refuses to do its work, makes the average American desire real change. They need to undo the messes they (congress) have made. We need energy now, so nuclear (France has it), oil refiners, and oil drilling.

Can anybody say death tax....

Oh-oh...
"I believe it was felt through the surge of the constitutional community supporting Rep. Ron Paul."

Oh-oh, Chuck... prepare to get slimed.

I doubt it...
Not to say I don't wish for Chuck's vision but there are plenty of reasons this won't happen any time soon. First, we may have an active 2% of the population for a revolution but whatever that active percentage is, it is extremely polarized. Unfortunately, there are just as many people who will actively fight Chuck as support him. Second, the populist support (i.e. the masses) tends to be more socialist than constitutionalist. Since the 1930's, people have looked to the federal government for solutions to individual problems. With the aid of the socialist disinformation apparatus (mass media, public schools)we rally against a trend with no likely alternative or ability to change course. Finally, the political structure is unassailable. Much like a Hydra, you can chop one head off but get two to replace it. I believe we are now in a period where the political elite (both primary parties) will continue to balance what they do to the threat of possible armed insurrection (the real purpose of the 2nd amendment). They will continue to abuse us to the point of insurrection and then back off. All the while, they will pacify the masses with give-aways as they continue to divide us by race, gender, and creed. We will find ourselves divided with no ability to fight (banned guns, diminished rights to speech, police state like controls on behavior). I know all of this sounds laughable but we cannot stop it with a non-violent response. I wish no violence on anyone but the things that Chuck wishes for are beyond our reach unless the political institutions are put at risk. To do that we will have to commit to marching on town hall with our pitch forks and torches.

to my knowledge
very few "revolutions" have started with the call to arms of asking people to open their wallets and run down their nearest barnes & noble.

but hey, there's a first time for anything.

Vive la Révolution!

Mr. Norris closet Ron Paul fan??
I've read Mr. Norris' book and he commends and endorses Ron Paul in it several times. You would not be disappointed to buy this book--like a history book on the Founders. Glad to have you join the revolution Mr. Norris!

Here's the Problem....
I wish Chuck Norris were right.

But, we're not going to vote ourselves into freedom. It's going to take a revolution of the two percent he referred to. Unfortunately, it will have to be a violent revolution. Observe, by the way, that Ron Paul gets (what a coincidence) two percent of the vote. (Okay, he got a lot more in some states, but libertarians typically get about two percent.)

I think the Constitution was illegally promulgated, and the Articles of Confederation were far superior. Having said that, I think we would be okay if anyone just followed what the Constitution actually says. If the Constitution were followed (not "interpreted"--it doesn't need "interpretation"), then ninety percent of our laws would be ruled unconstitutional and not enforced.

By the way, McCain and Palin are not the answer. If anything, they are the worst continuation of the same problem: the Welfare/Warfare State. Republicans are famous for using libertarian-sounding ideas to get elected, then following through on none of them. They are far worse and far more destructive even than the Democrats. And that's saying something.

Chuck, talk to Ron
What point are you trying to make by not supporting the GOP in November? Don't you see the bigger threat at the moment is more Democrat liberalism? You want me to take your advice when you have such poor judgment?
Take my advice, Chuck, and anyone else with ears to hear: We have a leadership vacuum in America. This is an indication of the spiritual condition of the country. The foundational beliefs of Americans have eroded from a fear of God and belief in Christ to a contempt of God and a love of self.
"Unless God builds the house, they labor in vain who build it." There's your revolution, Chuck, and it starts on your knees asking God for mercy for yourself, your family, and your country. Want to join me? You can also go by Barnes and Nobles and buy a bible...better known as the S.O.P. for God's warriors.

It does little good...
...to call for a crusade against the regime. I revere a deity and I respect others who consciously choose or not choose to worship as they wish. Those of you who begin your civil disobedience with a prayer should keep it to yourself or your small group of friends. The founders built their vision upon the unalienable rights created by our creator but they did not appeal to God to kill their enemies--at least not in their written word. Puritanical remonstrations is what scares a large population of reasonable people away from conservative ideology. As you protest and argue your points, you will be much more effective if you don't ask non-believers to kneel down before your God. Being hard headed to this point seems to me to be as unreasonable (not as dangerous)as any Islamic fundamentalist terrorist. Recognize I have a faith, as well and I respect your zeal. But your tactics are ineffective to the point that only the Almighty can undo your unintended but negative impact to recruit supporters.

Congress
We do have the people that need things interpreted for them like the Bible, and the Constitution. When you state a fact sometimes that in itself has to be interpreted. I question the rational thought process that needs interpretation. Grandma used the term, "Horse sense". That statement in it's self says a lot.

Our Congress is in shambles, each Congressman/women has a staff that takes all the input and culls the wheat from the chaff and delivers to the elected Congressman/women what they think is relevant. What we have is a staff not a Congressman/women. SURPRISE!

Now we have a person who wants to be reelected. Do you see a pattern here?

ADDED Norris comments at WND...
In his exclusive version of this same article at World Net Daily, Chuck adds these paragraphs...

"Most Americans have grown cold over partisan politics. They cringe over the political power plays and pollution emitting from the Capitol. They expect that their representatives will stand for special interests or their own, rather than the people's. Americans are sick and tired of politics as usual. And the fact is: Only a voter revolution is strong enough to change the current tides of corruption."

"So how do we do it? With a voter revolution. By discovering, raising up and electing great Americans who truly represent average America. Those like "maverette" Sarah Palin, who is a fresh, reputable outsider who isn't afraid to confront Washington corruption and government stalemate. Despite liberal hecklings, Alaskan politics remain proof of her reputation, and so does her 80 percent favorable rating there. If Alaska can do it, the rest of the nation can too."

ENDS ARTICLE WITH...

"As Thomas Paine challenged on Dec. 23, 1776, with his now famous rallying call to the Continental Army in "The Crisis":

"These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country, but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph."

Norris DID NOT mention ALL gang of 10!
For those of you who have blogged that Norris is endorsing ALL of the gang of 10--notice he says "members of the gang of 10"--he doesn't say "THE gang of 10" or "THE members of the gan of 10" or "ALL THE members of the gang of 10" but "members of the gang of 10" implying SOME or CERTAIN members. Anyone who knows Norris knows he's not endorsing everyone of them or everything they do, only that CERTAIN members are doing SOMETHING, unlike MOST of congress who are doing NOTHING! Great article again Mr. Norris!

..........
Unfortunately there are too many stupid and complacent Americans that would hinder a voter revolution. The fact that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Ted Kennedy can continue to get reelected is testament to that fact. The only revolution of consequence would be the one Jefferson wrote about. When that starts, I’ll bring the rope.

Obam showed POOR Judgment

There is an old Spanish saying.
“Tell me who you walk with, and I will tell you WHO YOU ARE!”

"I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets." - Barack Obama (Dreams of My Father)

Obama the 'Chosen One' chose these friends:

Marxist Professors
Structural Feminists (anti capitalists)
Activist Black Students
Mentor Wright - Black separatist and Mentor.
James Cone - Black Separatist and racist.
Saul Alinsky - Communist 'Community Organizer'.
William Ayers - Radical anarchist.
Fr.Pfleger - Radical religionist and race baiter.
Louis Farrakhan - Radical Islamist and racist.
Tony Rezco - Convicted felon and thief.
Frank Marshall - Communist and Obama Mentor.
Many other 'Radical Leftists'.

Then Obama chooses 1% Joe Biden who had 9,000 votes instead of Hillary who had 18,000,000 votes.

Wonder who Obama would 'Carefully Choose' for the Supreme Court?

Wonder who Obama would 'Carefully Choose' for the Obama Cabinet?

Any American voter should look at some of the chosen associates in the life of a man who is a contender for the position of President of the United States and Commander in Chief of its Armed Forces

That's a nice speech Chuck...
...but I don't have a problem with the IRS.

That's lots of good paying Federal employee jobs and one of our systems that works and works well.

It's the WASTEFUL SPENDING that has to stop.

Your article sounded more like a Huckabee campaign ad then a true call to arms.

The finger of blame should be pointed directly at the Congress. They approve all spending.

Break Washington
Our Founding Fathers deliberately put restraints on the powers of the Federal Government. Needless to say that they would be appalled by the size, scope of the Federal Government that they might ask us why haven't we burned Washington, D.C. to the ground yet?

The only way we're going to bring real change to our nation is to truly break the power of the Federal Government. Whoever goes there must eliminate unnecessary and unconstitutional programs, services, and departments (such as Education). We must assert the right of the states to govern themselves as they see fit, as the Constitution of the United States allows them to. The Constitution primarily put restraints on the Federal Government.

If you have a system that's always going to be rewarded irregardless of its performance, it's going to become corrupt. Our Founding Fathers knew this all too well. No matter how well or how corrupt our bureaucrats and politicians become they'll always be rewarded with tax revenue, not to mention a willing media that overlooks corruption for political aims.

I feel that Jefferson's words were true that from time to time the Tree of Liberty must be replenished with the blood of tyrants and patriots, and unless someone of the vision of Calvin Cooledge gets into Washington driven to drive the scum out of town peacably, it will come to a violent revolution.

Well said, BUT, you wrong on one issue..
That issue is your supposed gang of 10, now 20 attempting to allow off shore drilling, which is a joke. China is now drilling off our cost in conjunction with the Cubans and our Demonratic Congress is again shafting Americans. If you review the actions that this gang is trying to put on the agenda, you will discover that it is all smoke and mirrors. You can't trust a Demonrat. Review their plan Chuck and you will find out that you are being duped. It is all smoke and mirrors.

But let's call it by its right name.
I'm all on board with Mr. Norris and his plan. But it's important to realize that what he's calling for is not revolution but counter-revolution.

This is not just a hair-splitting word game. A revolution promises something new and untried, while this program reaches for something old - limited, constitutional government. The count-rev can attract more followers by pointing out that the goal we are reaching for actually existed once. The count-rev promises no Millenium, no pie-in-the-sky - just a return to the day when we were governed by a Constitution, executed by officials who both understood and respected the Constitution.

The revolution in America occured over the past few generations, as the Constitution was gradually elbowed aside by ever bigger, ever more active government. The fact that this revolution came to us at a glacier's pace does not qualify it as a normal evolution. It is revolutionary because none of it proceeds naturally from the nature of the federal Republic the Founders set up for us. A slow-growing cancer is still a cancer. If we try to live with it or adjust to it, it will kill what's left of our constitutional Republic.

So let's proceed with the program, but let's understand fully what we are doing. No more revolution - America has had enough and too much revolution.

VIVA LA COUNTER_REVOLUTION!

You are absolutely right! There was an article in the Wall Street Journal 3 or 4 days ago that exposed the plan being considered by the Gang of 10. The bill that they are considering is just a tiny concession toward drilling but is being loaded up with all sorts of alternative energy language and costs. It allows gutless Congressmen to "appear" to be doing something for America. That is the reason there is now a "Gang of 20". People in Congress are flocking to get included on the bill as a co-sponsor in hopes that it gives them cover from the flak about a do-nothing Congress on America's energy needs. Even Nancy Fail-osi is considering taking the bill seriously - so you know it is an albatross of a bill if SHE supports it.

in agreement
Until We The People stand up and make the changes, nothing will ever get done. We need Term Limits, no more Lawyers,No more Nafta,no more Off Shore Accounts, enforce our Laws of The Constitution and Secure our Borders and Ports,and get the Respect, God and Discipline back into our schools , so the kids of tomorrow know what The Greatest Generation Sacrificed for this Great Country.

Start With Military Service.

I say that no man or woman can serve in a governmental position unless they have served one year in boot camp, and one year in any branch of the military.
It's an awesome start.

The War that can be won.
My biggest fear is that it is already too late. Political parties wholly entrenched in every level of society. Look at FannieMae and FreddyMac. Both brought down by Clinton cronies and not the government all but owns them. Not today we hear the news that (AIG) is allowed to take out up to an 82 Billion dollar loan. If they are unable to pay it back than the government will own them as well. (AIG is an insurance company, can you say the future manager of Hillary care) and I understand this is not the first time that the feds have "taken over" industry in this country. i would love to see a list of the feds business assets. If we keep allowing government to shore up an economy of debt with debt it is just a matter of time before the federal government will have to do what AIG did and ask for a "bridge loan" again, from yet another foreign country.

Sometimes I wonder if it wouldn’t do the country some good for the machine that is the federal government to fail. Be forced to shut down and get out of the way with their regulations and superior attitude.

Many good people have been sent to Congress only to be corrupted by the place. Sending more good people only means more good people will be corrupted.

A man cannot be corrupted unless he is already corrupted. A man with good intentions does not upon getting elected turn to corruptiveness. The intent was there in the beginning.
The American people have become immune to the constant lies of candidates and why not. Their ears are being soothed to the sounds of promises and yet are just too ignorant to demand change.
We the American people are stupid enough to swallow somebody elses constitutional interpretation and we being the ignoramuses we are don't question.
People, wake up before it is too late. Before this country is taken away from you given to someone else. Is it possible? Oh, yeah, very much so.

America is Gone
Chuck, things are getting to get desperate before anything really happens. When it happens what we will get will not be the great America that once was. It will be more like a limp France. We had our chance and our day and we blew it.

DEATH OF THE LIBERAL MOVEMENT!!!

I must share with you what will certainly be the death of the liberal movement. Finally!

It's a film from Europe, entitled "Coming Soon", that's floating around the Internet and beautifully illustrates the inherent dead-end facing liberal philosophy.

It's an ABSOLUTE MUST-SEE (quite entertaining as well) and as of this morning it was still available for free at http://www.comingsoon.cz.

Watch it and celebrate! And then spread the word!

First, examine your representatives from the top down, and ask yourself: Do they represent the people? NO Do they stand by the Constitution? NO Do they reduce big government, taxes and our deficit? NO Are they working to protect our borders and sovereignty? NO Will they stand up to governmental status quo and gridlock? NO Do they have the type of character that can resist the temptations of political power and special interest groups? NO
California needs a Change

My recipe
Since 2000 (thanks to the Clintons) I vote straight Republican in general elections. However, in the primaries I vote for the challenger to the incumbent, unless said challenger has a low rating from the NRA. I say, keep the politicians moving through the pipeline and then out.

Ofuerer
BHO may just light the fire that leads to a real civil war.

All I hear from the D-side is socialist pandering that pretty much matches the great socialists of pre and post WW2 Europe: De Gaul, Wilson, and whoever was running Scandanavia, etc.

The battle between the "free markets-free people" contingent and the "socialize everything" proponents is being joined. The free market side is going to need powerful proponents to verbally disarm the socialists.

The "Irish Tiger" started roaring after the Irish rejected socialism. Compare NZ with Australia. Free NZ prospers while socialist Australia stagnates. And on and on.

Free markets. Free people
Controlled markets. Controlled people.

Thank you for expressing my OWN thoughts
Thank you so much for your well-written article as it expresses my own thoughts and feelings. My family and I recently spent a day at Mt. Vernon during our week in DC. We walked its beautiful grounds and admired the interior of the Washingtons' estate. We stood within two feet of his sarcophagus. We felt our American spirit and pride becoming more and more re-energized throughout our stay. Especially after having spent the afternoon at Arlington National cemetery just the day before. It's time to bring the pride and original intent of our forefathers back. To our family, it is a privilege to be an American citizen. And, it is time to bring back decency and respect for our fellow citizens- even when their opinions and beliefs are polar-opposites of our own. Its not necessarily the message being delivered by those on the other side of the fence. It's HOW they deliver their message- on top of a garbage can lid as opposed to a silver platter. It's simply all in the delivery.

Thank you again for your message. This citizen truly appreciates every word.

Sincerely,
MJ Mason

Land of the Free, Home of the Brave
Thank you for brightening my day, Chuck. Just knowing that there are those who are feeling the same as me is comforting. I am an American who is ready and willing to do right by our country and our people. By the way, my father watched your television show each Friday night, and was bummed when you stopped filming!

It takes more than 2%...
I like Chuck's ideas, but I have to disagree with his assertion that 2% of the population can change Washington. There are far too many people in this country that are either indifferent or ignorant and will mindlessly go to the polls and vote without knowing anything about the candidates.

If a guy like Obama can be garnering roughly half the country's support, what are our chances of replacing Congress? I'm not saying that a voter revolution won't come. I just don't think that Americans have suffered enough to pay attention. Also, no amount of suffering will cure the liberal pathology. The more they suffer, the more they blame conservatism and capitalism for their suffering.

Nancy Pelosi went on national TV and proclaimed that the House passed a bi-partisan energy bill that will go a long way to ensure energy independence, but in fact does absolutely nothing to increase energy production. A true voter revolution would mean an immediate effort to have her recalled and ousted. Instead, she'll get re-elected by a landslide. Voters don't come any dumber than that and that doesn't bode well for any revolution in the near future.

Danger and Hope

The Rights of the People are the chains in the Constitution that
were made to bind the Beast of big government for our protection.

The Beast strained at its bonds and began to break free with the help
of Woodrow Wilson, FDR and subsequent oath-breakers and crooks.

Creeping Socialism followed, installed by Creeping Socialist Dems.

They have crept into the Republican Party and are known as RINOs.

They have crept into the Courts, the Beauracracies, and Education.
The Beast is free and they feed it with taxes, inflation, lies and scams.

The Plan - to get filthy rich while disrupting Free markets and Free
Enterprise. They are systematically breaking down our Borders,
Rights, Economy and Currency, Faith and Culture, and Families, etc.
They will push until the system collapses, socially and financially.

At that tipping point, the masses they have Indoctrinated in the Govt.
schools and addicted to Govt. Entitlements will clamor for a Socialist
Govt. Savior for rescue, -They have been taught Govt. is the answer.

Perhaps at that tipping point they could get a glimpse of reality and
common sense, but the Socialist Media will be there to fool them.

Hope resides in free, brave people who see and act at the right time.

Right said, Chuck!!!
Can I send you one of my "Vote 'Em All Out" bumper stickers?
EGON: Add Republicans to your list and it will be fairly accurate.
Just finished reading "The Post-American World" by Fareed Zachariah. Fascinating stuff, and really encouraging for those of us who tend toward the cynical worldview.
Anyway, one of his well-made points: America at this time is not in economic chaos so much as it is in political chaos. He says: "We have a do-everything population and do-nothing politicians." Ane we keep rewarding them by sending them back out there. VOTE 'EM ALL OUT!

To Everyman ...
I'd LOVE one of your bumper stickers and would "wear" it proudly on the car. In fact, if you would send me just a few, I'll distribute them to some like-minded family and friends. Just let me know and I'll send you my address and what they cost.

Thanks, Everyman. You seem to be walking ahd walk and I'll walk with you.

Nice-But Isn't Going to Happen
The harsh reality is that the Republic is gone. 80% of the American people couldn't even tell you what it was. The essence of the Republic was a division of power between States and the Federal government. Prior to WWII, states combined had a larger budget than the federal government. Today, the Federal government spends $8 for each $2 spent by the states combined. To effect Chuck's revolution would require that the Federal Government shut down Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the Drug Entitlement Act, the Department of Education, as well as close down dozens of other "regulatory" agencies. All of these functions would have to be shifted to the states. To claim that the appointment of a young governor from a small state as a VP candidate is an indicator of this is simply absurd. The candidates support the system and intend to "tweak" it. They are products of the system. They are career politicians. The very thing that Chuck proposes - toss them all out and start again, would have to begin here and now with McCain, Obama, Biden, and perhaps even Palin.

At the same time, Chuck's coaltion collapses before it ever gets started. Those that support a continuing US military presence around the world (primarily republicans) - will fight with those that want to reduce it. Republican voters, further, represent at least 50% or more of those that are the principal benficiiaries of entitlements - the elderly. You cannot even begin to elect the candidates Chuck talks about - if you can't find the voting blocks to elect them. Ron Paul got 2% or so of the vote precisely because of this fact. And there is nothing to remotely indicate that the American people are going to vote most of their existing representatives out of office - because they're not. Pork specialists are routinely rewarded by re-election - and that's true whether they are Republican or Democratic.

But, it's a nice vision. I will say that.

Good politicians?
Where does he get the notion that the members of the Gand of 10 are responsible people with the good of our country at heart? Obviously, he hasn't looked into the details of their proposal: Extremely limited drilling areas, a large tax increase, and more tax dollars doled out to boondoggle 'alternative energy' programs. As a resident of the state represented by 20% of this 'gang' I am going to do all that I can to see that these poster boys for term limits are voted out of office SASPO.

Hmm
I can envision a revolution. It would be where the people wake up and realize they’ve wasted thousands of hours of their lives watching egregious TV shows like…..Whoops, I better not go there. It might interfere with some folks’ fantasies about a country where they can force everyone to do exactly as they think is best.

Dave
Amen to that!!! I want to vote for you!!!!! Why not think about getting into politics??? This column specifically speaks to this and I'm giving you the nod!!!!! Awesome post. Awesome column!!!

VOTE 'EM ALL OUT!!!!!!!!!
You see, my take here is that our politicians have just gotten into the wrong definition of "service": they read the one that applies to animal husbandry and applied it liberally to their constituents.
This is not just a Democratic phenomenon---our sainted representatives in Washington (and Harrisburg, and God help us, in Wasilla, too) are guilty of this, be they Republican, Green or Libertarian.
The ONLY two messages they understand are CASH IN HAND, and votes. Tthey have voted themselves some of the most fantastic retirement benefits in history: i say let's give 'em chance to use them.
To paraphrase the OBummer: "You can put all the Preparation H you want on a sphincter, but it's still an ....hole."

Truth be Told........
American have been lulled to complacincy by the ever present droll of the politicians who are just self serving. They realize that the entrenchment of the political machine will not allow for a new challenge to their way of life.Picking the right person to vote for becomes relative; based on what the individual voter wants from the candidate, subject to ideaology. Primarily that is why we have politicans with no moral, ethicical, standards.Their veiw of the actual intent of the framers of the Constitution and the bill of RIGHTS becomes just interpitation.
James 5:1-10 becomes a telling factor in todays actual mind set, even though it was written aproxx @ 40ad. The real revolution needs to come from within each of us first, the acknowlagement the we ALL need to follow a higher standard of morals and ethics; and then acctually do just that. The choice is ours and ours alone, individually subscribe to a absolute code that guides our everyday life in how we really want all men to live. Only then will any real revolution begin; and will begin to see the real changes that will happen " Isnt it just like God to make a crack head/dealer into a preacher"

Nugent/Norris
I propose a ticket of Ted Nugent/Chuck Norris for President/VP. Not only would we finally get some real Libertarians running the show, we could count on significant reductions of government in our lives, and a national defense that no one would dare challenge.

Shoulder to Shoulder
Chuck, I'll stand shoulder to shoulder with you on this anytime. The real investigation and debate ought to be about what ideas work and what ideas don't in the effort to move our country toward the ideal envisioned by the framers of the constitution. So much of what passes for debate and deliberation is just noise to distract us from the truth -- we've been taken for a ride by the international banking system and our so-called entitlements are anchors dragging our country under. The charities receive tax breaks so they can provide the safety net for our citizens. Let them do their jobs. Let the states experiment and demonstrate the value of new approaches to old problems such as education and healthcare. Let's not stand around and pick nits but let's stand together and fight for truth and for justice and for the American way.

FairTax
I have become a one-issue voter. Support the FairTax and I'll vote for you. Don't support it and I won't.

To borrow from John Marshall: The power to tax is the power to destroy. Few people notice payroll and income taxes because of the insidious withholding requirements (curse you, Milton Friedman).

Once all taxes except consumption taxes are eliminated, people will demand a ceiling on total taxes.

Re: The coming revolution...
Chuck,

I'll have to say "no" to both candidates. Neither plan to protect the border, the citizens of this country or our constitution. Both will be handing out citizenship to criminals like Halloween candy. They are already in the pocket of big business, anti-American organizations, foreign governments and misguided churches. I guess illegal immigration pays well these days, one way or the other. How about a cabinet post, Chuck? Maybe you could set them both straight.

Lots of good posts.
As one comment stated we have a hydra for a government system. All of the comments about the government waste, fraud, and term-limits, etc. Are spot on. But how do we defeat a system that cheats? How do we stop a hydra by cutting off one head? The simple answer is we can't. That is why we have to hit the hydra in the heart, or in the governments case, the wallet.

I ma starting to think that tax revolution would be a good place to start. What would happen if this revolution started with a well organized movement of people who stopped paying monthly taxes through their paycheck? I would be willing to pay the little extra at the end of the year to send a message to our government about who really has the power. WE have the money, WE have the power, We are the ones who can stop the madness of earmarks, and power abuse etc. STOP the money! With a stopage in funds how long would it really take to pass all the things we have been screaming for like tort reform, term limits, border fences, ect.? My guess is not very long.

JAYWALKING

.....Just watch Jaywalking on the Leno show or Hannity's man on the street interviews to see why the revolution won't happen ...most citizens cannot even identify a picture of Dick Cheney ...

.....Now cancel America Idol or Monday Night Football ...then bring back the guillotine ...cancel Social Security and the peasants will storm the castle with pitchforks .....COLOSSUS

baseballdoc
I like that one. It’s insightful and funny. Thanks for my first laugh of the day.

It Starts with Us!!!
If we allow Obama and his Liberal Socialists in office we will be the United States of the World and where will we be then,we need a French Revolution of the Economic and Voting type to take back from the Politicians who have stole or sold out this Country and its people..Being Conservative Chuck for me is,yes I believe in God and Yes I pray but I don't talk about or shove down my believes on anybody I just carry myself by action instead of words,I treat people the way I want to be treated and distance myself from those who attemp to tread on me.What has happen to Americans willingness to sacrifice for something more important then themselfs,As a Disabled Vet I was and always will be willing to Sacrifice myself for my Country and for more than my own personel wants,its about our Country our Communities our Families/Ancesters our past being the Founding Fathers and the History of this once Proud Nation of People,We have become weak and soft and blinded by Greed of Money and Material things so much that we are not willing to sacrifice anything to fight back against a government and politicians who do nothing to lead by or sacrifice for us but to only make themselfs and their Cronnies/Lobbyists rich off our backs and taxes that we provide.We cannot allow the Liberal excuse/take no Personal Responsibilty for anything/blame anybody but themself for their actions,I mean be Honest how many times have you heard Obama/Biden take any Responsibity for our Country and its condition,not once.Now McCain needs to step up and face the Music and except his failures and change the direction of our Country.

You know
It’s funny. Here we have Norris talking voter revolution. He refers to George Washington and Jesus. He just published “Black Belt Patriotism” (love that title; I can’t wait for “Walker, Texas Ranger Finance Management”).

But the truth is that just a few days ago, Norris wrote of how he is selling out to McCain. Is that an example of “Black Belt Patriotism”?

CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS
doesn't really measure my lack of respect for these flunkies. Democrat, Republican, Black, White or whatever...makes no difference. And it won't make any difference until WE start reforming our voting pattern of returning 95% of incumbents to office. How do we have 91% disapproval and 95% retention rate? That makes no sense at all.
Several posters have arrived at the same conclusion as Chuck----we will get real change and reform when we demand it, and not before. The only thing these people understand is a vote for or against them---VOTE 'EM ALL OUT!!!

Good Luck With John
I agree on Obama, but apparently you haven't spent much time listening to McCain either. Obama and McCain are on the same road - one is just moving down it a little faster. We have, after all, been on this road a long time now. Each election, these issues arise, and then, in the next election they arise again. Immigration hasn't been dealt with for 30 years. Social Security was "fixed" 25 years ago, the money taken out, and needs to be "fixed" again. Medicare, and Medicaid were and are unaffordable, yet we added the Drug Act a few years back, and now, both candidates want to add another "government" health care program. We can't pay our bills. We've averaged 20% deficits on spending for the last 8 years, so we simply borrow the money. Now, we're borrowing more for the various bailouts. In the industrial world, our schools rank near the bottom, our corporate taxes near the top, and I sit here and listen to people placing their bet on a young, attractive, and inexperienced governor who they do not know - yet pretend that they do know, because they desperately want to believe that they should vote for McCain, as opposed to Obama. The fact that a VP is a parrot for the President, and has no power - is glossed over. Just as the fact that McCain's "reform" image was borrowed from Obama, in that he realized that that was the right message. Yet he hasn't made a single proposal that represents change. After all, he's "not a change candidate". He's a 25 year Washington insider. And so it goes.

Good luck with John, we're all going to need it.
He is, after all, a man who has a foreign policy vision, yet absolutely none for the economy. Like Bush - he'll simply keep the ship afloat and then pass it on to the next guy.

Independent!!!
REDLAC, you bet but not only can that be a true statement but how can we afford to have a Junior Senator who has no experience and who has picked a VP running mate who has one of the worst voting records and is Kennedy favorite Dem Buddy.The point is we can't trust any of them and need to stop voting these fools into office.Its time for a new Independent Party for the people by the People that put our people and our Country first.If I was President HA HA !! I would not live in the white house its to expensive to run,a smaller house will do,I need just enough money to eat and get around alittle,all taxes will be spent on Schools/Education,Jobs,infastructure/roads,bridges,the Borders/Immagration,Social Security,Defense,ect... but one promise no money will ever be spent on any foreign gov or its people for any reason period.If it comes to helping than it will be brought to the people to vote on before any help is given.I will make each American take pride and Responsibility for our Communities, we will have a small central gov with the power given back to the states and local Communities.I did this but watch how quickly somebody says it can't be done,Most Americans want to complain about but don't want to do anything to stop if it means they have to do something themselfs(Lack of Personal Responsibility)they want as long as no sacrifice is involved, so do we really want change or is it just something to complain about.

Gang of 10
Chuck, I agree wholeheartedly with almost everything you said. But, you need to take another look at what the Gang of 10 is proposing. They are not doing us any favors. It is just a restatement of the Pelosi position on drilling with some ignorant Republicans going along to give it more credibility.

I'm on board!!!
Let's start with "including disposing of the unconstitutional Internal Revenue Service and replacing it with a "fair tax." Okay but the IRS is not unconstitutional. Neither is income tax.

Other than that this column is the rant of a tired old ultra-conservative.

You clowns and your "Term Limits" Give me a break. Term limits restrict my right to elect who I think is best for my district. You don't like my guy, vote him out.

Get rid of government waste. Okay, let's say that's 10%. That works out to $240 billion. If you actually think you can do it. Remember that cuts 10% of the military budget too.

Let's get rid of park barrel stuff. Wow, that's a whopping $18 billion.

Stop borrowing money from China? Who else is stupid enough to loan us the dough to continue our drunken party.

You clowns are all talk. Tell me what part of your life you are willing to concede to do half of the cra pp Norris is ranting about.

I'll propose an extra 10% of my income to pay down the debt. But I want my social security.

I hear you loud and strong Chuck........
And could not agree with you more.
The DNC see's its self as a primadona of some sort and has to only obey the laws they chose too or none at all.
America needs to stand up to these crooks and get rid of, their lies and misdeeds.
America needs to go back to our founding fathers believe that 'All are created Equal, under the Law and GOD. And let no man put us under, for this is the will of the People, by the People and for the People, of America.
If Obama wants change, let him start with a `Public' disavowing of Islam as his faith. Let him proclaim he is a Christian and that he nolonger excepts Islam and Allah as his religion.

Butcher
Obama doesn't have to proclaim that he is a Christian to run for presidency. He just has to be a "naturl born citizen", over 35 years old and lived here for awhile. Doesn't have to be a Christian.

Butcher
Which of our founding fathers believed that all men were created equal?

Drill Where Now?
A generally agreeable piece. But, praising the gang of 10 oil plan is ridiculous. I have seen the geologic survey maps showing oil reserves, and the gang of 10 plan calls for drilling beyond 50 miles from shore.

The water here is very deep and the maps show there is no oil.

What kind of deal is that???

Running for office
Chuck, you need to run for office!!

The Gang of 10 ...
... are good politicians?

Wrong! The Gang of 10 is one of the reasons we need a voter revolution! If their compromise goes through, we will never see energy prices come down or domestic energy supplies go up!

The revolution won't come
out of the GOP, that's for sure. As a Paul supporter I am appalled how he is treated by the GOP. They want nothing to do with him. That tells me they want nothing to do with me and so be it.

This country has spiraled down to one big mass of ignorance and I see no turning back from the gimme socialist mentality.

If you are interested in a free constitutional society, I recomend you join the Campaign for Liberty. Any future donations I make will be to them.

As I've stated before the GOP should just merge with the Democrats and quit trying to convince us that they are for small constitutional government. Based on thier actions it's an out right lie.

American Pride
When I was in school,back in the stone-age, I was taught we were a nation of immigrants. We forgot about Native Americans, probably because the authors wanted to stress that everyone was welcome here. Today we seem to be so pro everybody that we've lost our pride in our country. What about "My country right or wrong."?
Do we as a people and as a governmental body make huge errors? Yes! Can we make things better? Yes! The first step is to forget about trying to compartmentalize ourselves in order to identify others like ourselves.
I could identify myself as a Native American or as an Irish American, but I don't. I'm proud of my heritages but first and foremost I am an American!
Should we drill for oil? Does it benefit America and Americans? If it does, for Pete's sake drill!!!
Should we find alternative sources of energy? Duh!! We are a nation of doers, so do. Don't sit and moan about how bad we have it waiting for the government to rock us back to sleep,do something!
Where is our self respect? I want America to stand on her own two feet. I want us to remember who we are as a people, as a nation of 300 million, as Americans.
Government should give hands up not handouts. My father worked in the C.C. camps of the 30's, my grandfather tried to get work with the W.P.A., these men who were supporting large families wanted work not handouts.
I believe that's what most Americans want. I believe that's what most Americans on Welfare would prefer. And it's what every American deserves a chance at. Drilling, will mean jobs, alternative energy sources will mean jobs,and both will mean an independent America.
Congress can not continue to do things in a half way manner. This is America's future and it's future depends on getting things going and going full bore.

Edna
Tax revolutions have been tried before.
Government singles out ONE person, or a small group and comes down on them hard.
Then another person or group, etc., until they all fold.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In Europe & Japan, when Government turns rogue like this, they organize a NATIONAL Strike.
They shut down the entire Nation. NO ONE goes to work.
Each citizen takes a small loss but the tax loss to Government is horrendous. That kind of strike rarely lasts more than one day.
Because of the way America depends so strongly on autos for transportation, it would be easy to conduct a National Strike by closing freeways & blocking arterial traffic.
It would take a lot of organizing but much of the recruiting could be done on the InterNet.
(Thank Algore for the InterNet!)
OUR FOUNDING FATHERS!!
In no way did our Founding Fathers lay down the blue print for Liberal Socialist and that is exactly what the Democratic Party has become a bunch of Hollywood supported Liberals who have no backbone and stand for nothing that should make us proud.Show me one thing the Democratic Party has done for this Country over the Last 45+ years that has made us better.I have lived long enough to know that this is a Party of whinners,Complainers and finger pointers but rarely have they given any substance to this Country,Kennedy is the last and he was a Conservative Democrat but nothing since.Carter DUH DUH DUH!!!!Clinton NAFTA,raised Taxes,gave alot of service oriented jobs but we lost more Manufacturing jobs than at anytime in our history.More SERVICE members killed in his eight years than at any time since Vietnam and now the Finger is pointing again and Obama is no more Qualified than my pet Airedale to be our Commander and Chief,
gang of 10 bill worthless
This phoney bill, which would wrap a small amount of drilling around taxes and massive litigation incentives, has no value--and lets the antidrillers off the hook.
Saw Norris on CNN...
No match for Huffington, rude, struggled to string his words together coherently.
Nice quiver to the lower lip though.
Chuck, how's the effort to vote out college presidents going ????
You amusing Hollywood elitist you. Try doing some research before you drool on the page next time, Hollywood elitist Norris.
Chuck Well Done, Try This
The liberal/commie party with help of a few conservatives has subverted the constitution. This subversive group has 40% of voter support by bribing them with no taxes and a lot of free stuff.
The conservative citizens need to stand up.
To have another American revolution, each state will have to make a choice. The choice is to reset the constitution to original principals or continue down the road to tyranny.
The new constitution would have a few changes like term limits. One six year term for president, one six year term for senators who are appointed by their respective state. Three two year terms for representatives.
You earn the right to citizenship through service to the country, either military or civil service. Only citizens can vote.
No income tax, only sales tax. No lobbyist, any government worker caught receiving any bribe would be tride as a traitor.
The federal government will be responsible for the military, the post office, the courts and treaties.
All other government programs are for each state to provide as their citizens vote.
State law rules unless it interferes with adjacent states or rights in the constitution.
These changes are only general ideas and others may have better ideas.
The point is any state that doesn't choose the new constitution can secede and go down their own commie way!
Off-Shore Drilling Ban Passes House!
The House voted last night to allow drilling only outside of 50 miles.
The vast bulk of the oil, and the infrastructure in place to drill, are inside of 50 miles on the continental shelf.
For all intents and purposes, the house just passed a ban on off-shore oil drilling.
I am not at all certain what Mr. Norris is talking about.
Well Said
Chuck very well stated article concerning a subject that unfortunately most citizens will not understand or agree with. How unfortunate!
NOT a good oil bill, Mr. Norris
From what I've read so far, the oil bill isn't that good. It is VERY restrictive in where drilling can take place, and adds more financial burdens on the oil companies. I think Senator Graham and the rest of them were sold a bill of goods. They got suckered by the Dems, who now will say they were responsive to the American public, while blaming Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and AIG on the Republicans.
When will the Reoublicans learn you CANNOT trust the Democrats to deal in good faith. That's why I was opposed to McCain in the first place - he's too willing to give in, and in any compromise between right and wrong, wrong always wins.
http://www.colony14.net
Norris you just jumped overboard.....
I can not believe you put Ron Paul in with the Gang of 20. I will check, but if he signed on. I will take my name off his list and support will be cut and his name will be off my phamplets. This bill is against Ron Paul principles or I do not understand Dr. Paul.
My democratic senator is in and believe you me, he will cut a deal only when loosing. He is loosing. And where is the oil shale in this bill? Ahh, do not need it. That is why he signed on.
Moratorium is up, end of month, so hold on to the ship and drilling comes with no compromise to taxation or oil shale. Plus a bonus to the ticket.
You say you want . . .
A revolution. Where do I sign, Chuck?
It's time to retire Chuck
The Gang of 20 bill is a bad one.
Is this "revolution" all about Chuck ?
Who is hawking a book and looking for a new career path ? I can't get on board with folks like Mike Huckabee and Lindsey Graham.
Chuck
Didn't you endorse McCain? I am completely on board with your suggestions but it self defeating to cancel your vote for a conservative Congressman by voting for conservatism's main nemesis at the top of the ticket. Vote 3rd party for president to support your conservative congressman, Dem or Rep. This is about principles, not party.
Chuck, you might also want to join the Saint Crispin Day Society that meets at BrianR's "Orphanage" at his blog "View from the Island" at Townhall. It might help get both of your feet planted firmly on solid ground.
viewfromtheisland.blogtownhall.com/
All other conservatives who are succumbing to the GOP fear-mongering and race-baiting might find strength there too. We are drawing a ton of new traffic. I wonder why?
I don't get "gang of ten" prop either
I think you need to take a closer look at the people that seem to draw your admiration. Huckleberry? Lindsay Graham? Pick a side Chuck. The riverbanks are getting further and further apart and people who insist on straddling them expose a very tantalizing target dangling out in the open.
VOTE THE DEADBEATS OUT! NOW!
I agree wholeheartedly with you Chuck.
When President Elect McCain and Vice President Elect Palin take over the office of the Presidency in January 2009, they are going to need all the congressional support they can muster.
They need a Republican controlled Congress to put in place the changes and reforms that we need and want in America.
If your representatives are one of the stalematers and you have the vote to get rid of them, do it! You will feel good about it! Too many of them like the Speaker of the failed Democratic House - Marie Antoinette Pelosi need to go and go now! That women is a disgrace to the office. She is the biggest reason that things have come to a halt in Washington - her partisan politics.
But you know the real Democratic leadership, or the puppeteers as I call them, Kerry and Kennedy, run the party. They just chose this loony woman to run the Senate and an inexperienced candidate to run for President so that they can take the blame for things...while they sit in the background running the machine!
I want change and reform...you want change and reform...let's get it by voting in a Republican ticket and a Republican congress!
I am dedicated to getting this done for all Americans and I, hope, you are too!
The coming revolution
You're running for office yourself, Chuck?
Gang of 20
You lost me at the Gang of 20. Bipartisanship for the sake of it alone is not an act to worship. Republicans always come away from these efforts with their heads hung low as they give up everything to the liberals. Supporting the Gang of 20 will NEVER help the US in any possible way to become energy independent.
The riverbanks are getting further and further apart and people who insist on straddling them expose a very tantalizing target dangling out in the open.
To use a clydism, "D*MN YOUR HIDE!" I'm eating LUNCH!
Let's have Hurricane Chuck wipe out DC!
Chuck - you have the power and the
opportunity to be a power in this. lead the way and "they will come".
Chuck
Chuck,
I have much respect for you and have always considered myself a fan. However, your support for the gang of ten turned twenty shows naivete that is difficult to overlook.
The lib/demos never solve problems as you know - they prefer to harangue and posture regarding them. Now we have one where they are clearly on the wrong side and the gang and you now want to deprive us of our advantage with this phony 'compromise' substitute, which the dhimmis are more than willing to embrace - for the moment.
I already told Sen. Thune he can no longer expect my support. Be smart: for once, let's hold out and let the pressure build until We get what WE want - Real energy development.
Listen to Sarah: why the hell are we guiltily worried about saving the planet when several potential enemies are sharpening their blades to use against us. They don't give the slightest crap about 'saving' the planet - that's just a rotten pitch being used by the leftist enemies of freedom.
Energy is our strength and the lifeblood of individual freedom and democracy. To be concerned with our beard when our head's about to be taken - perhaps literally if the Islamists have their way - is demented.
The Coming Revolution
I thought about this for some time. You see, I tried the revolution back in the 80's. When they got done with me, there was no way I was going to do that again. I now know what an ant feels like crossing a freeway.
To start, one must know who the enemy is and what makes him/her tick. I didn't. One must have a specific target/goal. I didn't. Without such, I was doomed to failure.
The politician is our enemy, yet, not all are. And this is where it gets tricky. He/she doesn't care about money; not entirely. They care about votes and what it takes to get them. They will spend/do/say what ever it takes to get one more vote than the other guy. (Ever wonder why we have a money problem today? Yet we seem to vote for the one who spends the most money.) They will promise anything and do nothing for you until it comes time for your vote. They are the most glib, empty, immoral people I know. Well, not all. It’s the vote that gives the politician “the power and the glory forever and ever,” which is their quest.
What specifically do we want right now? This is where one needs to focus. For me? The repeal the 16th amendment, it's subordinate, the Federal Reserve System and the return to the original Constitution, Article One, Section Nine. It reads, “No capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken.” As it is now, they can tax an individual directly with their tax code and proportion it to your income and be as arbitrary as they possibly can. Yet, not all pay taxes.
If you get a chance, ask a politician directly if they would pursue and support an amendment to repeal the 16th amendment, the Federal Reserve System and return the ways of our original Constitution. If they say no, you know who your enemy is regardless of the rhetoric they spew about how they care about you.
RE: Lots of Good Posts
What would happen if this revolution started with a well organized movement of people who stopped paying monthly taxes through their paycheck?
It is so true. When the American people are opposed to what their government is doing, corruption, etcetera...we can stop paying taxes. I like this idea. I also think that this would send an urgent messege to our governing body. Like those e-mails that came out telling us to not buy gas from certain companies that supported Arab interests. Maybe it could work if enough people had the nerve to pull it off. Like jsut wait until the end of the year to pay those taxes!
Regarding a revolution...May I remind my brothers and sisters that "The battle belongs to the Lord...and The Government shall be upon His shoulders...He is on the throne, He reins. We must continue in His footsteps, and that is to love others, and put grrater value in relationships, than on being right. For it is then do we have power, and the blessings of the Almighty God. It is only a short time before Christ will return, and then those who have refused to bow down, will be humbled. The antichrist is among us, but is only temporary. Set your sites on eternity, where there won't be corruption, or destruction.
Peace and Gods Blessings...
Maranantha!
Sorry for the typo's...my keystrokes are off. : )
This was planned
The Federal Reserve and leading politicians have had this in the works for years.
The satanic affiliates to name a few: Rockefellers, Bushes, Queen of England, Kissinger, Carter, Clinton, CIA, Pres FDR, Pres Johnson, Pelosi, Clintons, Obama, Reid, Ted Kennedy, Barney Frank, Biden, etc. Congress has followed their orders from the Bilderbergers to undermine our constitution and destroy the peoples faith along with the USA as we know it.
People, GOVERNMENT
People can only be changed through pain, pain is the only way you can learn. You must put fear into them. Then and only then will you have peace. This will lead to the revolution.
