The American Dream
This is a fine article - thanks for the update on facts.

It is not written "Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly." (Leviticus 19:15) ?

The American dream is being partitioned by irrational hatred and pseudo-regionalism. Hyphenated Americans are an anathema to the true American. Being an American is a choice. One must choose. When foreign citizens take to the streets with foreign flags, a natural conclusion is that an invasion is underway.

It is not "strangeness" that concerns the Christian conservatives, it is the injustice of "illegals" towards the "legals" that desire immigration and the citizens that cry out for their own opportunity.

It is the motives (not the strangeness) of the "illegals" that is in question. The American dream is assimilation of freedom loving and God fearing folks of all backgrounds into a united system of limited government. This is an anathema to political leftist.

The American dream is not a "better jobs" for materialistic opportunists.

Obfuscation of the issues is rampant on the part of our elected officials. Conservatives must lead the way back to solid ground by identifying specific issues not eliciting general emotional responses. The enemy wants the American dream subverted in to a plethora of political and racial groupings, sound bites, and stereotypes. America is entirely too "Christian".

The individual illegal resident that wants to vote or otherwise influence American affairs are unworthy of American citizenship by that single desire regardless of race or color. The limits American should demand politicians cease and desist in trying to expand their political power by the auctioning national sovereignty and individual opportunity.

Amnesty (and its variations) is the auction platform. The bidding has started.

...how is insisting we uphold the law "...treating millions of Americans, many of whom have died protecting our country, as a kind of fifth column."?

Are you calling illegal aliens Americans? Have you already granted amnesty to "millions of Americans?"

.."this does not mean that Christians ought not to be concerned about the massive lawbreaking.."
Exactly, jail and deport all ILLEGAL aliens and build a wall preventing more of the same.

And about the race issue, we would be just as vocal if Canuks were coming here in the same fashion in the same numbers bringing the same diseases.
