Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

WASHINGTON -- Hillary Clinton met her Waterloo at Tuzla. She'd been regaling audiences with tales of a dangerous landing under sniper fire in Tuzla 12 years ago and then running for cover. None of this occurred. When CBS provided the tape, she was forced to admit to "a misstatement."

Now, confabulation is a fairly common psychological phenomenon. We all have internalized childhood stories so oft repeated by elders that we come to falsely "remember" the actual experience. Adult memories are less susceptible to such unconscious inventions, but past experiences embellished over time by repeated recounting can reach the point where we actually believe the elaborate trappings of our own retellings.

Clinton's problem, however, is that a corkscrew landing under sniper fire is the kind of thing that is hard to forget and harder still for memory to invent. This is confabulation on a pathological scale.

A Clintonian scale. And that's the problem. Barack Obama has been gaining on Hillary in part because Tuzla reminds Democrats what they had largely succeeded in banishing from consciousness: the Clintons' rather arm's-length relationship with truth. The great New York Times columnist William Safire once called Hillary Clinton "a congenital liar" and made it stick. And that was more than a decade before snipergate.

The revulsion at the Clintons' lack of scruples remained latent as long as the focus was on her relatively unknown opponent, a blank slate being filled in with Tony Rezko's shady dealings and Jeremiah Wright's racist rants. Tuzla not only provided a distraction from Obama's problem with the raving reverend, it created the perfect setting for the press to pronounce the Wright affair closed.

In his swoon-inducing Philadelphia speech, Obama had instructed the nation from on high that America was greatly in need of a national conversation on race -- a need curiously absent before his pastor's words sent his campaign into a tailspin -- and that he, Barack Obama, was ready to lead it. Everything was now on the table, except his association with Wright. Because to "play Rev. Wright's sermons on every channel, every day and talk about them from now until the election" would simply be a "distraction" from the suffering of the American people which, of course, is the work of the usual suspects: corporate outsourcing and "the special interests in Washington."

This invitation to move on, as it were, has been widely accepted. After the speech it became an article of faith that even referencing Wright's comments was somehow illegitimate, the new "Swift-boating."

It is not just that Obama surrogate Rep. George Miller denounced the Clinton campaign for bringing up Wright when talking to superdelegates as trying to "work the low road." You expect that from a campaign. Or that Andrew Sullivan called Hillary's commenting on Wright "a new low." You expect that from Andrew Sullivan.

But from the mainstream media? As National Review's Byron York has pointed out, when Clinton supporter Lanny Davis said on CNN that it is "legitimate" for her to have remarked "that she personally would not put up with somebody who says that 9/11 are chickens who come home to roost" or the kind of "generic comments (Wright) made about white America," Anderson Cooper, the show's host and alleged moderator, interjected that since "we all know what the (Wright) comments were," he found it "amazing" and "funny" that Davis should "feel the need to repeat them over and over again."

Davis protested, "It's appropriate." Time magazine's Joe Klein promptly smacked Davis down with "Lanny, Lanny, you're spreading the -- you're spreading the poison right now," and then suggested that an "honorable person" would "stay away from this stuff."

Amazing. We've gone beyond moral equivalence to moral inversion. It is now dishonorable to even make note of Wright's bigotry and ask how any man -- let alone a man on the threshold of the presidency -- could associate himself for 20 years with the purveyor of such hate.

Watching such a display, you get a full appreciation of Hillary's challenge. The mainstream media are back in the tank. The "Saturday Night Live" skits parodying media obsequiousness toward Obama, followed closely by the revelation of the Wright tapes, temporarily forced the media to subject Obama to normal scrutiny. But after the "speech" and Tuzla, they have reverted to form as protectors of the myth of Obama.

The hagiographic treatment of a newly emerged Democratic leader is a recurring theme in American journalism. At the dawning of the age of Clinton 15 years ago, the cover of The New York Times Magazine featured a woman dressed entirely in white. The heading read: "Hillary Rodham Clinton and the Politics of Virtue."

Inside, under the title "Saint Hillary," the late Michael Kelly wrote a brilliantly detached, coolly ironic deconstruction of his celestial subject. Saint Obama awaits his Michael Kelly.

Those who won't vote for McCain
will be responsible for electing one of two psychopaths to the White House, either Obama or Clinton are without scruples.

I don't like McCain either, but our country needs the best this year. We must come together.

Obama's Kelly
"At the dawning of the age of Clinton 15 years ago, the cover of The New York Times Magazine featured a woman dressed entirely in white. The heading read: "Hillary Rodham Clinton and the Politics of Virtue."

Well, if it keeps to form, a Michael Kelly would write such an article sometime next year, after Obama is in the White House. With a veto proof Senate, the article will arrive too late, and again keeping to form will do nothing for the presidency, but might help turn over at least one house in Congress. But we can expect at least two years of horror under St. Obama.

It's getting weird out there
This is shaping up to be one of the strangest campaign seasons ever, which is a reflection of the increasingly Orwellian world inhabited by liberals.

Hillary's imaginary and narrow escape from Death By Sniper is no big deal, considering she is a Clinton. Everyone understands this is what the Clinton's do, though her supporters are unhappy that she was careless enough to get caught in her lie so easily. She could use a bit of Willie's slickness.

Then we have Obama, who has been posing as a neo-MLK healer and unifier, only to be exposed as a staunch supporter of Jeremiah Wright, an overtly bigoted and anti-American hater. Now that a curtain has been pulled back to reveal who this Obama character may really be, we are beginning to hear his supporters accuse the curtain pullers of hate-mongering.

Yes, that's right. It is not Wright and his followers, including Obama, who are controversial and subject to condemnation. In liberal-la-la land, the hate-mongers and their supporters are the good guys, and those who criticize them are the bad guys.

Like I said, it's getting weird out there.

How about a graphic?

Mr. Krauthammer, may I offer two graphics?

Obama's lack of leadership

Four years ago Obama’s church, Trinity United Church of Christ, offered on its website at least a dozen videos of Rev. Wright preaching. Unfortunately for those who wanted to get a true picture of Rev. Wright’s beliefs, these videos were removed from the Church’s website due to media scrutiny...but they were removed before Rev. Wright retired last month.

Barck and Michelle Obama should have left Rev. Wright’s church. Let me illustrate: After attending the same church for 20 years, I decided to find a new church for several reasons. One of the churches I visited in my search was a church I had gone to several times before. That day several years ago the pastor bandied about the word ”nazi” in similar fashion to the talk shows and weekly news magazines then. Having personally been told Holocaust survivor stories, I realized I needed to leave. I got up a few moments later and walked out, easily noticeable. I walked out because I knew this pastor was not fit to lead me spiritually. Later I realized God was causing me to find another church where God’s Word is preached. The Holy Spirit speaks to each of us differently, based in accordance to God’s Word, to tell us when we must not compromise. A minister is not really just ”one of the family.” He’s a spiritual leader with authority.

Barack and Michelle Obama should have walked out during Rev. Wright’s vitriolic race-dividing sermons. They should have shepherded their family away from Rev. Wright’s church and found a smaller African-American Bible church where the pastor was in one accord with the Lord and better understood the awesome power of forgiveness in Christ which his ancestors showed, a force so powerful that many decades later still touches the human heart.

Thank goodness for the video
The first time Hillary was confronted with the lie about Tuzla, all we had on her was Sinbad's statement that the biggest worry that day was where to eat. Hillary's reaction was to point ou that Sinbad is a commedian. It was only when the video surfaced was she forced to acknowledge, if misspeaking is acknowledging, her lie.

When I hear John McCain tell me that that illegal immigrants are God's children too or that he's not going tell some soldier in Iraq that he's deporting his mom, it just makes my blood boil. The man is a sell out to the open borders anarchists..but what choice do you have. How in the world did New Hampshire and Florida get in position to screw up the country?

Eye Wash
President Hillary Clinton’s condition is known as presbyopia—-one who suffers from short arms in later years. President Barack Obama’s condition is known as myopia—-one who lacks the vision to see a distant presidential run. Both need an over-the-counter wash called ‘clear eyes’ to remedy their maladies. For Michael Kelly’s condition of psychomania, there is no cure for this disorder.

Awesome piece
Amazing. We've gone beyond moral equivalence to moral inversion. It is now dishonorable to even make note of Wright's bigotry and ask how any man -- let alone a man on the threshold of the presidency -- could associate himself for 20 years with the purveyor of such hate.

*And this is the scary part of all this. I've been saying that the General Election is going to be one of the wierdest times in contemporary history. Your liberal friends, supervisors, and employees will automatically assume you are racist if you don't vote for Obama. The public discussion will involve constant charges of racism.

Perhaps, just perhaps, folks will get a spine and begin calling a spade a spade (and NO, I did not mean anything racist by that!).

The Clintons
at "arm's length from the truth"? Hell, neither one of them is in the same area code. Both have lied so often that they don't even know what the truth is.

DocJ writes:

Yes but it's a shame we don't have that option.

Pick your poison
Like many conservatives I am not thrilled with any of the candidates but see McCain as the lesser of the three evils. Having been a POW for 5 years he knows first hand the horrors of living under a communist government. Hillary sees herself as the savior of the great unwashed children who make up the American populace. Obama on the other hand scares the hell out of me. Beneath the smiles and flowery speeches lies a burning hatred of a thousand suns. He and his family sat through Wright's sermons because deep down he agrees with them. If this man is elected you can expect a million Willie Hortons turned loose on white America

Tsk, tsk
The dhimmicrats used to gush about how skillfully the Clintons can lie. Now they've dumped the Old Nag for a sleek, Black Gelding - who looks like he can run well but if you can get inside the barn and sneak a peek into his stall, there are some unsavory characters in there. Fixers, dopers, and generally dishonest persons who are trying to fix the race.

The Old Plug doesn't stand a chance. The fix is in, bet on Obama, and pray for our country...

back in the tank
"The mainstream media is back in the tank"
This gave them leave pass to go back to where they want to be anyway.

The Title Fight.
Weighing in at 181 pounds, wearing black trunks, we have Barack Obama, with his long and close association with a demagogue and spiritual "advisor" who believes America is intrinsically and hopeless racist to its very core...and in the other corner, weighing at 168 pounds, and wearing white trunks, we have Hillary Clinton, the Congenital Liar.

What's a poor boy to do?

Since I am an independent(former republican...but G.W. Bush cured me of that affiliation), it ain't necessarily my problem(on deciding between the two Democrat heavyweights).

For I am trying desperately to believe Johnny McCain has more sense than to swig the toxic neocon swill that so ill-served G.W.

Some days are better than others in my efforts to decipher the real John McCain. But I will not vote for a 3rd G.W. Bush term.

Charles Krauthammer is correct, of course, on the media's fawning over Obama, coming to his defense as the disgusting comments by Joe Klein and Anderson Cooper illustrate.

It now is deemed "hateful" by media to bring up Wright's bigotry.

If Klein and Cooper had even a scintilla of self-respect and journalistic integrity, they would resign. How they can look themselves in the mirror each morning is beyond me.

The media is so smitten with Obama that it no longer serves the people. It is like a school girl who has a teenage crush. Most unseemly.

It has become an enabler to the Obama campaign.

Overselling the goods
Before semi-retirement, I was in some manner ofsales capacity most all of my life. I was rather successful at it. An axiom I learned about selling...long, long ago, is that once you make your presentation, shut up. Your client can digest it and make an informed decision.

Hillary just seems to make her point and never, ever shuts up. She keeps the tap open until the lies gush out.

Obama just rattles off open-ended generalities with no teeth or point until he becomes not unlike a talking bobble-head.

McCain, on the other hand, says what he has to say on a given position and shuts the hell up. He's the only one of the three who actually gives us, the voters, credit for having a functional brain and knowing how to use it.

This is the essence of the term "experience" and clearly, to me, who should 'get the sale'.

Correction for DocJ @ 00:57
"I don't like McCain either, but our country needs the best this year".

Last I checked "best" is not interchangeable with "least bad". Oops, nevermind USMC (Ret) @ 07:57 already caught you on that.

Leader of the free world
First -- Thank you, Mr. Krauthammer for another excellent column.
Second -- About Senator Obama --
I do not care about his pastor or his grandmother or what they said in public or private. I do think that anyone who wants to lead should display some signs of leadership in his early years. Senator Obama did none of that -- he sat there when his pastor slammed the USA and particularly white people and he sat there while his grandmother expressed her fears about black people and in both cases he, apparantly, did nothing to bring them together or to lead his fellow parishoners or even his wife and daughters away from this hate. He also did nothing to overcome his grandmonther's fears about black people.

Not what I would be looking for in a leader. I also think that is why many in the black community cannot give over their victimhood -- those who have "made it" do very little to help those who have not "made it".

For sawdust @ 07:48
Excellent point. A sample of Bubba's lies while in office:
(1) the famous "1 crore jobs created through NAFTA including 1 lakh new police personnel" speech in 1995
(2) his trumpetting of "having prevented India from conducting a nuclear test" in 1996 (no record that India even had one planned for that year)
(3) The post-1998 Clinton-imposed sanctions having "billions of $$ bite" on India; in reality, almost NO impact on India-US trade.
(4) "I did not have sex with that woman" referring to Monica Levinsky

The Clintons LOVE the truth!
I completely disagree with the implication of the title of this column. The Clintons are NOT at arm's length with the truth. No, the truth is very dear to them, and so it is actually very close to their hearts. Indeed, it is so special and precious to them that they just can't bear to part with it! That's why they're so stingy in giving it out!

I enjoyed this column very much, and I'm astonished at how Obama has managed to side step the Rev. Wright controversy. It's troubling, and it's even more troubling that this man could become our next President. God forbid that he should win and the Democrats increase their majorities in Congress, especially should they get a veto-proof majority in the Senate.

Choices
1. Black racist who hates America
2. A lying woman who rode Bill's coat tails to the White house.
3. An aging fighter pilot/POW who doesn't believe our country needs a southern border or freedom of political speech.

How did our country end up with these Hobson's choices?

Wright et al.
Not to fear. Wright's Chicagoland victory tour, the additional rantings of a Chicagoland Catholic priest, and now word from Wright's denomination regarding a May 18 "sacred converstation" are capable of keeping this issue alive until Hillary has fallen by the wayside. By that time, the baton can be passed to Republicans who can effectively use it as a general election issue whether Obama likes it or not.

Moral inversion
"We've gone beyond moral equivalence to moral inversion."

Which is why Clintons are "THOPPers" -- THink OPPosite of what they say.

But Then...
Hillary puts up with the anti-American remarks of that fat slob of a traitor John Murtha. Even though repulsive anti-American traitors like Verminous Senator Pat Leahy and Nancy 'Stretch' Pelosi are tending toward Obama she never disagreed with their pro-terrorist agendas. Who is Baghdad Jim McDermott supporting? Henry Waxman? Maximum Waters is still on the Hillary bandwagon I believe. Why single Wright out for special treatment? Every one of the Dems, no matter how 'moderate' they say they are when they're bamboozling the idiotic electorate into voting for them is a liar and a traitor. They've spent the last six years impeding all efforts to stop their terrorist allies and to tear down and betray our efforts to kind this country secure.
One last thing. If anyone has ever believed those ridiculous anecdotes which pop up in every speech about how Hillary encountered some tuna fisherman with twelve children who couldnt get medical care and similar bilge then they are truly a moron. She has NEVER told the truth about ANYTHING.

Arm's length is far closer than
Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, and KRAUThammer will ever manage.

The sad thing is that most of you
idiots backed Shrub.

Good column Mr. Krauthammer
but it is not a Hillary thing, it is a liberal thing. I saw this link on the page referenced by dsslm. Good cartoons by the way. I found this recent interview with Ted Turner:

"Not doing it will be catastrophic. We'll be eight degrees hotter in 10, not 10 but 30 or 40 years and basically none of the crops will grow. Most of the people will have died and the rest of us will be cannibals," Turner said.

This is the face of the MSM? There is much more of this in the interview. Pretty scary that a man this deranged could have achieved such success. I cannot believe that a guy like Turner or Soros ot any other billionaire could be this mentally unstable. The only explanation is an agenda, an evil plan to bring about an evil result which they, with their billions, would be relatively immune from. Check out this quote:

"We're too many people. That's why we have global warming. We have global warming, because too many people are using too much stuff. If there were less people, they'd be using less stuff," he said

It is easy to see
How liberals can justify reducing the standard of living of the world's population and especially the United States. They could even justify genocide if they really believe we are all going to be dead or cannibals in 30 years anyway. Be afraid.

McCain is the best
of the three. That is because he openly disavowed his oath with McCain-Feingold. To mention but just one instance.
He is an honest to god anti-Constitutionalist. He is the only one who will proverbially or otherwise shoot you dead in the face. The other two will, proverbially or otherwise stab you in the back with one hand while shaking your hand with their other hand.
Yes, McCain is the best of the three. By a long shot.

Those who won't vote for McCain
are not in any way responsible for what those who do vote impose on us.

Abstaining is an honorable thing if none of the candidates meets your criteria for support.

John McCain has consistently demonstrated contempt for the Constitution, contempt for individual liberty, contempt for the voters, and contempt for his own colleagues in the Senate. He is a dishonorable man who is not worthy of my vote. I will never support him.

The Beast
writes, "Arm's length is far closer than
Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, and KRAUThammer will ever manage."

Stop incriminating yourself this way Beastie. You should plead the fifth.

The least damaging thing
for America would be for Hillary to take the nomination. That way the cries of racism will be directed towards the Dims. If Obama gets it and then loses to McCain I see nothing but racial grief as the race mongers will convince blacks that it is only because America is racist that their savior lost the election. He won't have lost because he is a flaming liberal with a thin resume and poor judgement, it will be because he's black, dontcha know.
If he wins against McCain he will reinforce, by his policies and rhetoric, that America is a racist nation and the black man can only make it by getting government to give him goodies.
Seems to me that a McCain/Obama matchup is a definite lose-lose. But I would rather be thought a racist by electing McCain than begger our great country and be moved faster down the road to serfdom by electing Obama.

Truth be told ...
Dear Mr. Krauthammer:

Re your column today, "At Arm's Length with the Truth,"

Nothing can top the bold face lie Pres. Bush told the 9/11 commission investigating the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 which resulted in the deaths of 3,000 people on our soil.

As reported on page 260 of the 9/11 Commission Report, Mr. Bush, referring to the infamous Aug. 6, 2001 President's Daily Brief (PDB), told the Commission he had believed the PDB report to be "historical in nature."

But it was Mr. Bush himself, concerned about the reported threats who, the Report states on page 260, had directed the CIA to inform him whether any of the threats pointed to a terrorist attack upon the United States.

And as the Report reveals, two CIA agents reported back on Aug. 6, 2001 that "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S." was 'CURRENT AND SERIOUS."

How then, could Mr. Bush, a graduate of Yale with an MBA from Harvard, possibly interpret that distinct and urgent warning as being "historical in nature?"

If as Town Hall columnist Rich Galen contends Hillary Clinton's "imagined attack in Bosnia is the stuff Republican dreams are made of," George W. Bush's outright lie -- overlooked by yourself, your colleagues and the 9/11 Commission -- surely is the stuff national nightmares are made of.

Dear nmi
N)o
M)ind
I)nside

I fail to see what you are trying to imply in your post. That a) Bush thought OBL's threats were old news? Or b) that OBL's threats were of historic proportion? Both of which are arguably true.
Now I believe Bush has been WRONG in many of his assessments but I have yet to see anything that would make a reasonable person think he is a liar. Unlike say... the Clintons.

nmi
The best thing to come out of 9/11 is that the Liberals finally believe the CIA is a wonderful and all-knowing body whose warnings should always and immediately be followed.

Unfortunately, before 9/11, as the Libs bombarded Bush from every direction--dumb, selected-not-elected, wants us all to die because he won't immediately enforce Clinton's last minute decree regarding arsenic in our water, etc. etc. etc.--it would not have been possible for President Bush to follow any CIA advice without being crushed by those same Liberals. Even if the advice had been specific.

Yet the BDS Libs are still at it. (But just can't see anything wrong with the Clintons' chronic lying.)

n, you're nutz.

Absolutely brilliant, Dr. K
I totally agree with Mr. Safire and Dr. K. The longer we go in this "campaign" the more character of these candidates are revealed to us.
Both Obama and Clinton have this "I am above reproach, how dare you ask or say such a thing". It seems to me that we are missing the true picture about these democrat candidates. If Hill is a liar and Barak has bigot issues; both are acts of hatred and selfserving trying to cover hate. Who wants THAT as a character in the Oval office? Not me!

Poor Democrats
They have to choose between an angry, anti-white racist, gun confiscating, radical abortionist and a bold faced liar who will say anything and sell out any friend or philosophy to get ahead.

They truely are the cream of the Democratic crop.

Clinton Lies Never cease to Amaze!
Charles:

Howabout Slick Willie's claim that immediately after law school Hillary went down to register in the Army but they wouldn't take her because of her poor eye sight! Mindful that she was an anti-war activist and committed liberal loon at the time from the People's Republic of Yale University!

They continue to utterly lie w/out a shred of reservation and when caught red handed, they continue on w/out a shred of shame.

Dr. Krauthammer, you are shrink -- what is your diagnosis of these pathological shameless liars? My God, I find myself in disbelief that this id not a weird dream!

9/11
I am at a loss to understand what President Bush, or anyone in Government, could have done to specifically prevent the 9/11 attacks. Unless you all, like some of the loony left-wingers believe that our government achieved something by being the actual perpetrators of the attacks...and if you want to be in step with those liberals, oh, well, what can I say?

Further, the danger from global warming is a myth perpetrated upon the world by unscientific persons looking for a cause and desperate to maintain a public presence...Al Gore is the idiot in the village that Hillary says it takes to raise a child, and Ted Turner is his strongest advocate.

Great Insights!
Astute and perspicacious, as usual, Dr. Krauthammer!

Hmm maybe not played loyalty games with assignments? Maybe not downgraded counter terrorism as an FBI priority? Hmm maybe Ashcroft should not have been personally supervising curtains at Justice to cover a bare breast on a statue? The Bush Regime was in power over seven long months perhaps justpaying attention to business?

Re 9/11 Truth Be Told (Continued)
For Polly & workin4wages re Continuation of my 12:16 pm post:

The 9/11 Report, which on Page 260 contains Pres. Bush's "historical in nature" lie referenced in my 12:16 post, was issued by the 9/11 Commission, chaired by a respected Republican, Tom Kean.

And it's a respected Conservative Journalist, James P. Pinkerton, certainly not a liberal, who has leveled the most serious accusation against Pres. Bush.

Pinkerton, who worked in the White House under Presidents Reagan and George H.W. Bush, wrote the following in Pinkerton's April; 9, 2004 Newsday column, "9/11 Doings Coming to Light"):

"President George W. Bush got a blunt warning five weeks before 9/11 and he did little or nothing."

Pres. Bush himself on Aug. 16, 2004, speaking in Traverse City, Mich., stated to the crowd of supporters:

"After 9/11, we must take threats seriously,"

AFTER 9/11? in effect Pres. Bush confirmed James Pinkerton's contention that in response to the pre-9/11 warning (that "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S." was 'CURRENT AND SERIOUS)," Pres. Bush "did little or nothing."

nmi
writes, "And it's a respected Conservative Journalist, James P. Pinkerton, certainly not a liberal, who has leveled the most serious accusation against Pres. Bush."

I believe this to be a fair statement. The most serious accusation against Bush is that he and his advisors and the intelligence community failed to read the tea leaves correctly and prevent a disaster, as did his predecessor, and his, and his, and, well, you get the picture. Can we list Clinton's law enforcement community with failing to stop Tim McVeigh as his worst failing. I think not. While bin laden was building his organization, Reno's justice dept was much more concerned with domestic terrorists in Waco and Ruby Ridge as I recall.

OBAMA v BABIES
"The truth will set you free". I agree with you Charlie. Rumors and lies travel around the world before the truth can get its shoes on, but here is the truth about Obama, the man who would be president. He hates babies. Like Lieutenants, they are expenable.

His mentor, Frank Marshall Davis (deceased), a member of the Communist Party USA was instrumental in Obama's thought process from an early age until he left for college.
http://www.gopusa.com/commentary/ckincaid/2008/ck_02191.sht ml

In December, 2007 Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright, Obama’s minister, an anti-American militant and anti-Israel, praised Louis Farrakhan, Leader of the Nation of Islam, as a man who epitomizes greatness with the “Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. Trumpeter Award”. Farrakhan has blamed blacks' troubles on Jews, America, and whites, whom he calls "blue-eyed devils." When blacks, “erase race” as Ward Connerly says, talks can begin.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZXeNk7H3u4&feature=related

His brother, Abongo "Roy" Obama, a militant Muslim who lives in Kenya continues the anti-American diatribes there; His paternal cousin, Raila Odinga, Presidential candidate who invited Obama to Kenya; lost to Christian, Mwai Kibaki and called the election corrupted.

”Obama, an Illinois state senator did not support legislation to protect babies who survived late-term abortions because he did not want to concede — as he explained in a cold-blooded speech on the Illinois Senate floor — that these babies, fully outside their mothers wombs, with their hearts beating and lungs heaving, were in fact persons." He is bent on killing babies.

When Jill Stanek, who was a nurse at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois, told Obama about the Down's syndrome baby who was born alive and left to die that she cradled and rocked him for the 45 minutes that he lived, Obama was "unfazed".

nmi
Clinton's lackey, Jamie Gorelick, erected a wall that prevented information from being shared between the CIA (foreign) and the FBI (domestic) intelligence agencies. That wall was largely responsible for preventing the sharing of threat information gleaned overseas from reaching domestic prevention agencies.

Conveniently, (1) Jamie Gorelick was named as a member of the 9/11 Commission (gee - I wonder why?) and (2) another Clinton lackey, Sandy Berger, stole secret documents about Clinton's handling of the terror threat, by stuffing them down his pants and socks, if I recall corectly, and then destroyed them.

The fix was in to get Clinton off the hook -- so much so that the Commission had a "ringer" (for want of a better word) and Sandy Berger risked felony conviction (but then, again, that fix was in as well, in all likelihood).

But, don't let those pesky facts interfere with your borderline troofer worldview.

Sorting out 9/11 accountability
For hitchhiker & christtheprofessor:

If you believe Bill Clinton should be held accountable for the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, how does that exonerate George W. Bush?

THREE THOUSAND PEOPLE died on our soil that day and no one in our government has been held accountable.

After more than six and a half years, isn't it time we sorted out accountability according to guilt and not political affiliation?

Again, I refer to Town Hall Columnist and National Review Editor Rich Lowry who has written:

"A vigorous blame game is still the only way to keep Government failures from being conveniently ignored."

That would mean ALL governments and ALL failures, especially failure which led to the murder of 3,000 people on our soil.

Spare me your shifting the goalposts, re: accountability.

I responded to your Pt1 and Pt2 bullsh*t that it was all Bush's fault with Clinton having no accountability. Pure BDS, and you can't even see it.

/does TH really think that an * confuses somebody? That in itself is insulting and too PC for my tastes.

I don't think Clinton should be held accountable for three thousand deaths. I believe the men who hijacked those planes should be held accountable primarily although that is entirely in God's hands now. Those that planned, financed, and materially helped the hijackers should be held accountable when and where they can be found.

President Clinton should be held accountable for deriliction of duty for some of the things he did as previously mentioned that clearly detracted from the general security of this country during a time of known terrorist ambitions. Lessons should be learned and not repeated.

Unlike some past agressions, bin laden did not spend time amassing troops on our border and talking peace. This is a new type of threat that is much harder to prevent. Do you suggest someone in government needs to be shot to soothe the angry mob? I am sure the culpability can be spread among many but, Bush would rank fairly low on the list having been in office barely long enough to have settled in.

How long was this particular threat being touted by the CIA or any other intelligence agency? I recall many, many terrorist actions and alleged government responses throughout the nineties. We deal with threats every day. How can anyone know for sure which one is more likely to reach fruition and where to spend the manpower?

A sacrificial offering may make you feel better but, it will not make you any safer. To do that requires learning our past mistakes and being open to new strategies to deal with new threats.

Bullets Whizzing By?
Aw c'mon Charles our little white naivette cotton panties are showing when we expect the Clinton's to, "Allah" forbid tell the truth, I'm practicing for our inherent conversion to Islam, but seriously folks, Bill stood up and said he did not have sex with that woman and Monica had a black dress to prove otherwise. Hillary on the other hand envisioned a Bosnian drive-by, couldn't you just see those two comparing notes at the end of the day high fiving and Bill rubbing her feet saying,
"Hilly bullets whizzing by, that was sweet, I would not have thought of that."

nmi...
Probably too simple for the liberal mind to fathom but responsibility for 9/11 goes to the 11 or 12 barbarians who killed those people and to the other barbarians who funded and organized them.

Proper punishment would be ...kill all the aforementioned Barbarians and let God sort em out.

At Arm's Length With The Truth???
I wouldn't say Hillary was at arm's length with the truth. I don't even think she's in the same house with it!

Dr. K brooks no guff from HIS clergyman!
This might be a good time to remind the folks about how the distinguished Dr. Krauthammer went postal at temple on the most solemn holy day on the Jewish calendar.

M.J. Rosenberg recalls, "And then there was that experience with him in my synagogue in 2001. It was Yom Kippur. The rabbi was giving his sermon only to be interrupted by a bellowing obnoxious Krauthammer who was shouting him down for expressing a hope for peace between Israelis and Arabs."

Wish I could find the longer, more colorful version. The good doctor is stark raving mad, and his admirers should be encouraged to seek a prompt psychiatric evaluation.
