Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

It's Damage Control Time for the liberal press. Count New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof as one in the media masses who have been outraged, just outraged, at the supposed conservative bigotry against Barack Obama. This "most monstrous bigotry" isn't just about race but also religion. Stating his middle name and whispering on the Internet that he's a Muslim "are the religious equivalent of racial slurs."

Kristof concluded his March 9 column by quoting Martin Luther: "I'd rather be ruled by a wise Turk than a foolish Christian."

Through months of outrage over Obama the Supposed Muslim, reporters have largely ignored the church Obama attends in Chicago. The Trinity United Church of Christ claims to be "unashamedly black and unapologetically Christian." It proclaims it's a church of "an African people, who remain 'true to our native land,' the mother continent, the cradle of civilization." You can't tell conservatives that if their church said it was "a European people," committed to the European culture and motherland, that reporters wouldn't smell white supremacy between the lines.

Then there is Obama's minister, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who in 2007 offered the "Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter Award" to a man who "truly epitomized greatness," anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, head of the Nation of Islam. Is Nicholas Kristof wanting us to believe that offering awards to Farrakhan is simply the act of a "foolish Christian"? It gives an entirely new meaning to Kristof's headline, "Obama and the Bigots."

Now some very disturbing Jeremiah Wright sermons are bubbling up, sermons where he screams until he's hoarse against America, so angry he can't resist bursting with profanity from the pulpit. In 2003, he built a grand government conspiracy against blacks: "The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strikes law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God d--- America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people. God d--- America for treating our citizens as less than human. God d--- America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."

Five days after 9/11, Rev. Wright was condemning America as bringing on the al-Qaeda attacks with our own terrorism: "We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye," he yelled. "We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost."

Are we to believe that on the first Sunday after 9/11 -- when many Americans crowded into churches looking to mourn, looking for answers, looking for community -- that Barack Obama decided to skip church?

ABC's Brian Ross found these words and then noted Obama has professed, "I don't think my church is actually particularly controversial." He said Rev. Wright "is like an old uncle who says things I don't always agree with," telling a Jewish group that everyone has someone like that in their family.

How in the world can the same media that roundly condemned George W. Bush in 2000 because he "stood uncritically" at Bob Jones University now accept this crazy-uncle defense? ABC's George Stephanopoulos suggested Bush's standard stump speech there made him a "Kamikaze conservative." That was a single moment on Bush's campaign schedule. Barack Obama's been attending his crazy uncle's church for 20 years; that crazy uncle married him and baptized his children, too.

Once these statements hit the airwaves, Obama repudiated them but then suggested that those mean-spirited conservatives were at it again. "I noticed over the last several weeks that the forces of division have started to raise their ugly heads again," Obama declared. But the "forces of division" were right there within his campaign -- until Obama expelled his minister from his African American religious leadership team.

Barack Obama looks phony either way. Either he missed all of these sermons, meaning his "devout Christian" talk on CBS doesn't match his church attendance record, or he sincerely thinks that hateful, race-baiting, America-bashing sermons are part of a pleasant Sunday worship experience. The press has an obligation to pursue this.

If Obama really meant any of this rhetoric about healing racial divisions -- in any of his speeches over many months of campaigning -- he would have quit his hate-spewing minister and his Church of Slurs a long time ago. If the media ever meant to be fair and balanced instead of a real-life comedy sketch full of slavish Obama myth-builders, they would have found this story a long time ago.

I Do Condemn Obama's Pastor, But...
I think it was despicible for Obama's pastor to say the things that he said. Look, bashing the Catholic Church may be one thing, but at least those who do bash the Church (myself included, unapologetically), do believe that the United States of America is the greatest nation on Earth, and that we are very thankful to be allowed to say whatever intolerant thing we have to say that we otherwise would never be allowed to say in the Middle East or The Netherlands (case in point, the Danish Cartoon controversey.) However, Rev. Wright (if he can be called that) went too far to vehemently attack our country at a time where we were physically, psychologically, and mentally wounded. It's nothing less than an act of sedition, and even though it's highly unlikely that Rev. Wright would be prosecuted on such charges, he will have to live with the shame and disgrace that such an unpatriotic outburst would produce.
And another thing, he doesn't help the cause of us who really do have problems like AIDS and the three strikes law (my father is one strike away from it, even though he has long reformed his ways.) It's very troubling for me to have a person like that support a presidential candidate like Barack Obama.

He
doesn't just support him, he mentored him.
Meaning he wasn't just a pastor, he was by
definition a wise and faithful counselor. a teacher or coach. And for 20 years so there isn't any wiggle room. Having a cousin survive
one of the Towers the wolf in sheep's clothing's rants are particularly disgusting. Wright is preaching another Gospel and I bet Obama hasnt a clue as to what scripture demands of a Christian, one can go to church devoutly but still be devoid of any real knowledge of the
faith otherwise he'd know racial hatred has no
place in a Christians life. Committed Christians would have run not walked out of that
so called church.

The7Sticks
Your father needs to do one of two things: stop committing felonies, or move to a state that doesn't have a "three strikes law." Simple. Oh, if he is still on parole, he must finish that before he can move. Ain't California wonderful, though?

The7Sticks
"Look, bashing the Catholic Church may be one thing..."

I'm looking...and I'm also reading...that undermining the Catholic Church is an acceptable sport. Do you put Protestants and Jews in the same category? Do you declare open season on every faith and those who believe that faith?

You've overstepped your bounds. Bashing the Catholic Church is not "one thing". What right have you to declare that it is okay to rail against the beliefs of others?

Barak disqualified himself
Obama confesses that he doesn't find his church "particularly controversial."

And that's the problem. Obama views the world through the narrow, distorted lens of African-American victimhood and grievance, which qualifies him to be president of black Americans, but not the other 92% of Americans.

Obama's crime, he didn't quit his church
That's it. That the only thing keeping this ridiculous racist and anti American scheme alive, is that Obama didn't quit the church. Had Obama done just that, and the tapes still came out of Reverend Wright, what would have been the argument then. Where would this scheme to make Obama look like a racist and anti American have gone then. It's gone beyond Obama being labeled a racist and anti American, now Obama's judgment can't be trusted either. What's Obama hiding? Obama is not the Manchurian Candidate. He's no sleeper cell of Reverend Wright just waiting to win the Presidency just to let the enemy in. When will enough, be enough. Should we call for Obama to be deported, because there's no way he can stay in this country after being compromised by Reverend Wright. Who can trust Obama now, that he's been exposed to be a racist and anti American. Good thing we have Hillary and Bill, because we know how in good standing they are with the American people. There's no doubt in any American's mind that the Clinton's wouldn't sell out this country. Oh, by the way Bill cashed in some stocks he had, that he got from the Chinese. Ooops!

maverick
Try to catch your breath and figure out that the maybe 30% black Obama is using you.
I am absolutely done with this black racist crap.

Nicholas Kristof's outrage
Well, I am just shocked at Nicholas Kristof's outrage!

If Obama wants to see the "forces of division", he should look in the mirror first.

Motivations
Blaming others for your own lack of success always sells. Wright, Sharpton, Jackson et al have been selling that snake oil for years. It tastes sweet and goes down easily. The masses eagerly slurp it down. "Reparations? Count me in!"

Cosby's advice to look at your own failings is bitter and difficult to swallow. It sells only to the brave and wise. "Hard work and integrity? Not interested."

Since the lazy, cowardly, and stupid always outnumber the brave and wise, Obama early on chose the larger market for his political base.

He's slowly finding out that reality has a way of exacting a price.

Boutte, Allen
GO sleep with the pigs!

Hey Boot
Why stop at 1945? Hell, this horrible country was involved in terrorism, according to you, prior to 1945. Just look at our meddling in the Pacific Rim that caused Pearl Harbor. And, sending thousands of American troops to Europe to meddle in internal politics there, outrageous!

And, what about sending American troops to Europe in World War I? Were our national interests threatened in the slightest? No! What was so bad about Kaiser Bill, or Hitler, Hirohito, Mussolini, Sadam, or any of these other dictators? No skin off our nose, right?

Maybe you are right, American foreign policy should be designed to make us loved and appreciated overseas. Maybe we could come up with a program to surrender in the Mideast, give all of our money away and turn our government over to the mullahs of Islam. Bet that would get us high marks for popularity over there!

What do you think?

Boutte answered
The foreigners who despise us are psychologically programmed to hate anyway: leftist radicals, religious zealots, thugs, tyrants and their dupes. They hate the U.S. for the same reasons that gangsters hate justice.

Anyone sympathizing with this despicable horde is in dire need of self-reflection.

Foreigners not filled with hate are plentiful. Observe that the U.S. is far and away the destination of choice for immigrants. We don't see immigrants fighting to emigrate to your beloved models of civil rights, Russia and China. Gee, I wonder why the easily observable facts don't support you? It must be infuriating holding your meetings in a phone booth.

Obama hates this
Obama hates saying something he does not mean.
Obama hates taking the middle road.
Obama hates denouncing and rejecting.

Because he has surrounded himself with people like this all his life. Ask his wife Michelle. This is who Obama is! Every far-left, American hating person, white or black, believes everything Rev. Wright says. So does Obama.

When Obama talks change, he's talking about:
1) Slavery Reparations.
2) Slicing up the military and arsenal.
3) Handing U.S. Sovereigny over to the U.N.
4) Making drugs legal.
5) Granting clemency to African Americans who surely didn't get a fair trial in white America.
6) Tax Breaks for African Americans, the next step in Affirmative Action.

This is the change Obama talks about.

Obama
For awhile I thought that Obama was a gifted individual. Now after it has come out that he has been attending a hate originating church for 20 years I have concluded that he is an idiot. No one in his right mind should attend such a church. If I were to hear such anger and outright disgusting nonsense coming from the pulpit I would be gone from that church immediately. I left a church many years ago because the pastor was not preaching but making political speeches about the Vietnam war. I

Allen: Hypocrates?

You seem to forget that neither Jerry fallwell nor Pat Robertson, nor any of their congregants is running for PRESIDENT!

And, in case you've forgotten, that's what this is about....

Ancestors
I find it interesting that while B. Hussein Obama talked about his white ancestry, and their racist attitudes, he didn't whisper a word about his Moslem ancestors and what they thought about Christianity.

I don't know what those Moslems' attitudes were, but his lack of comment about it makes me wonder if there's another Rev. Wright of Moslem persuasion in his background.

Boutte: Oh Pa-lease! Not again!

9/11 WAS NOT the consequence of 60 years of US meddling in the Middle East!

"You don't have to be any kind of radical or liberal to accept that-"

You're at least partially right.. What you DO have to be is uneducated and not very bright.... and oh yeah, a paulist!

the question
The question media ought to explore is---Where is Jeremiah Wright today, and why is he there? The Obama campaign is hiding him out, probably in Africa. After getting a free pass on a lifetime of Anti-Christ preaching, would it be safe to say that now, "his chickens are coming home to roost"?

The Wright Color
Here is what I think some people are missing. Once someone lets it be known their views on a specific subject--such as America or White people--the rest of their world view and their sermons must be put into that context.

Reverend Wright clearly hates White people and he hates America. He's preached it on more than one occasion. Everybody and their grandmother knows this. So every Sunday from the pulpit, no matter what Wright preached about his congregation will remember he hates Whites and America. They then will draw a parallel between what he preached and how he feels about Whites and America. This paints everything he preaches.

Imagine you that walked into a church, sat down in the pews, and the preacher came to the pulpit and said, "I hate each and every one of you people because you are white, but I will still try and preach the word of God and speak of the Gospels."

Everything after that sentence must be taken in that context. His heretofore sentiments will color everything else he says.

Boutte...
Interesting that you should mention delusion, since you seem to be laboring under the delusion of mental competence.

Islam needs no trigger event(s) to cause them to hate and attack infidels. Their religion commands them to do so.

Read "Because They Hate," by Brigitte Gabriel, St Martin's Press. If you want to be informed about the Islamic threat this is absolutely essential. Otherwise you are uninformed, ignorant or simply stupid. Come to think of it, maybe all three.

On Bozell's comment
"Barack Obama looks phony either way. Either he missed all of these sermons, meaning his 'devout Christian' talk on CBS doesn't match his church attendance record, or he sincerely thinks that hateful, race-baiting, America-bashing sermons are part of a pleasant Sunday worship experience."

(1) Obama doesn't merely LOOK phony, he IS phony
(2) By his vote record, Obama proved that he's only as much a "devout Christian" as India's current Defence Minister A.K. Anthony (whose name is listed in Wiki under "Indian ATHEISTS", though the biodata box ID's his religion as Catholic)

I have a question

Which "preacher" does Obama think was preaching the truth? Which one has done more for the nation?
a. Jeremiah Wright
b. Martin Luther King

Just wondering. Post away.

oddity or ordinary in Black Worship
Let’s ponder all of this for a moment.

There are a few churches that are interracial, very few.

White’s do not attend Black Churches. Blacks do not attend White Churches.

I think Whites, should discover, considering our separation of worship centers, is it ordinary for Black Worshipers to expect and to receive messages as delivered by the Rev. Wright?

It such messages are the norm, our Press must turn attention to the real problem; diverting attention to Obama and Wright is a disservice to every American.

If such messages are extremely rare, then by all means, expose Obama and Wright.

But first, tell us, is this an oddity or ordinary in Black Worship?

When all else fails
blame talk radio, Fox news and the vast right wing conspiracy. That is reconciliation and coming together????????

No Way out PT1
I didn't listen to Obama's speech. I didn't see a need for it. I didn't listen to George Wallace denounce his past of bigotry years ago either. The question for both of these persons is what actions did they take after the public announcement of their position. In the case of Wallace he actually did good things for race relations in the south. He was shot because someone rejected his conversion. But I believe when he died he was at peace because he tried to do the right thing once he discovered his mistake.

Obama on the other hand doesn't have time to change, or maybe he isn't sincere enough to change. It could be he still thinks he can fool us and so makes a speech to change us or at least some of us. It won't work, because we are looking for a great American to be President. Great Americans have a few traits that are undeniable. First they love America and second, they do great things for America. Some of them were great orators, others like Audie Murphy or Alvin York never went to college.

Obama has shown he can be a great orator, but that isn't of much value to those of us looking for a great American. We will have to wait to see if he changes into someone who will fight for America instead of just for himself as he has up to this point. I know though that in order to change he will first have to educate himself on what makes America great, he doesn't know that yet. I understand that because he was able to be a member of a divisive hateful congregation for so long. I know it because he actually believed he could be a member of that church and still present himself as some who believes in America. The Media failed him, they should have told him years ago that he wouldn't be able to hide his past in plain sight. But they were too busy adoring him.

No Way Out pt 2
Now he's trapped. In a race for a Presidency for which he is demonstrably unqualified for. He got there by promising change we can believe in. I'll bet he didn't realize it would be he that has to change so we can believe in him.

Personally I don't think he can, I don't think it's in him. That why I called my comments No Way Out. He's trapped by his own failings as a man with a huge ego.

Allen
I'm no fan of Pat Robertson but because of his theology first...

You however are participating in a false witness against Falwell.

He did say that God judges sin and he judges nations that are depraved. Quite frankly, that's true whether you like it or not. I have not seen the transcript of the statement you are referring to but strongly suspect that if he mentioned lesbianism it was as an example rather than a specific accusation against that group alone.

Even some of Falwell's most strident opponents agreed that they found him gracious, polite, and respectful once they actually go to know him.

He was hated and demonized by the left because he delivered a true message that he would not compromise on and they could not refute nor escape.

Boutte
You wrote: "9/11 WAS the consequence of 60 years of US meddling in the Middle East"

Read about Thomas Jefferson's dealings with the pirates of northern Africa. (Especially the comments from the Islamic leader to Jefferson)

Read Mark Twain's "Innocents Abroad."

Radical Wright
Remember in 2000 when the main stream media carryied on about George W. finding Jesus as an adult and how very, very odd that was? And how it must have had something to do with the booze because no adult in his right mind would ever become a Christian? Did I miss the articles on Obama drinking the Kool-Aid?

No Equivalancy
Robertson, Hagee, Falwell are/were honorable men. Some disagree with them and demonize them, as liberals are wont to do. Jeremiah Wright is filth. And downright creepy with all his bizarre outfits. Jumping around like a fairy. Ahem. His skin is whiter than Obama's--just imagine all that self hatred!

My guess is that Michelle Obama is the culprit here. She swallows the Wright filth hook, line and sinker and Barrack nods his head and goes along. The hate and paranoia are part of Michelle's world view. Remember, she's the one from Southside Chicago.

Good thing for Hillary the Dems found out about this before nominating Obama the Hater.

9/11
was largely a consequence of the America's support of the only functioning democracy in the region that shows any regard for the rights of peaceful citizens regardless of their race or religion- Israel.

The Israelis have not been the ones picking the fight.

Allen proves the point
Thanks, Allen, for proving the point. We already know of these things because the press picked them up and played and played and played. The point is that the hypocritical media generally pick up these issues when it's a conservative or Republican, but try to give a pass to the lefties. This one just happened to be too big for them to sweep it under the rug.

If you really believe that W was wrong to give a speech at Bob Jones University, then go ahead and admit that B. Hussein Obama is wrong to be so closely associated with Wright.

But you just can't do that. Like so many on the left, you like to cry "hypocrite!" (except that you can 't spell), while being the biggest hypocrite of them all.

A question for the liberals
I am a 65 yr old conservative that has raised 5 children. My kids never heard me utter a racial slur, tell a racist joke or utter a derogatory comment about another race. I did all in my power to keep them away from people who did. When they would hear these things I would explain how wrong it was and why.
Senator Obama has raised his children in a church that preaches hate and outright lies from the pulpit. Who do you think has done the most to end racial hatred in the country?
I know, it has to be the mean bigoted conservative.

sjt18
And, I know that I'll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way -- all of them who have tried to secularize America -- I point the finger in their face and say, "You helped this happen."

The Washington Post (September 14, 2001)

I Wonder..
I wonder what would happen if a major presidential candidate was discovered to have a pastor who baptized his children, preached about Aryan superiority, called for the extermination of mud peoples, and said the Holocaust was a Jewish lie.

Petrified
We're not going to get any substantial questions about this from PC media folks who cringe at the prospects of being labelled a racist or appearing racially "insensitive".

Many, if not most, in the media are simply ill-equiped to confront this very issue.

The main issue is how on Earth a candidate who promotes himself as the post-racial candidate went to a Church like this for 22 year!! Also, why exactly is this coming out now and not months ago? I guarrantee many knew about this before now.

Obama ,Wright & O.J
If a critical post was written about each of the above...the same people would defend each of them. That says everything.

dbz77
What’s the point? In the situation you described, the candidate would be drummed out of public life.

Seriously, what’s the point of your comment? Did Rev. Wright claim racial superiority? Did he call for the extermination of anyone? Is he denying some great tragedy of a generation?

What does the UCC say?
Obama's church is Trinity United Church of Christ. Does that indicate affiliation with THE United Church of Christ, that has formed over the past 90 years out of various mergers of German Protestant churches in this country? If so, what does the local synod or even the national synod think of Rev. Wright's spoutings?

Now, the UCC (or, Utterly Confused Christians, as they are sometimes known around here, affectionately, of course) is a relatively liberal, mainline Protestant denomination. I know that some of our local congregations (Southeastern PA) split away from the larger church in the mid-90's, when the national church approved ordaining homosexuals. So, maybe they are aware of Wright's polemics (can they really be called sermons?). If so, did they, too, decide, like Obama, to turn a blind eye?

Hillary delenda est.

I have to
wonder, how many times has Louis Farrakhan preached at B. Hussein's church and how many times B. Hussein has met with Louis Farrakhan?

I'll bet it is several times.

Open Comments to Barack & Rev Wright
I just got off the radio with the flight crew. The *BTA Airlines plane is fueled and is on the tarmac with engines running.

The crew needs you to make a decision ASAP...will you be remaining in your so-called "rascist America" or will you be departing to your "continent of ancestoral origin," the land of milk and honey, Africa?

Should you decide to fly to the Dark Continent, where according to your comments, life MUST BE BETTER than the U.S., the flight crew is willing to drop you off via any means you choose:

1. Airdrop with parachute.
2. Airdrop without parachute.
3. Landing at an airfield of your choosing.

*BTA = Back To Africa

African American religious leadership
team?

Who does Obama have on his Anglo American religious leadership team?

Why does he have to have a separate team at all for African American relgious leadership?

Obama NEVER stood for healing racial divisions - he started his campaign (and his adult life) deeply mired in racial divisions and is fighting hard to keep it that way.

cold hard truth
“where according to your comments, life MUST BE BETTER than the U.S”

Which comments? How did you draw your conclusions?

theBaron
"Now, the UCC (or, Utterly Confused Christians, as they are sometimes known around here, affectionately, of course) is a relatively liberal, mainline Protestant denomination."

RELATIVELY liberal? You are much too kind. The UCC is one of the most liberal denominations in the U.S. Like many "mainline" denominations, they have become so obsessed with "diversity" that they no longer stand for anything.

Smoothe As Silk
Obama has proven that he is the 'consumate' politico, JUST like Slick Bill Clinton...they ARE
Silver Tongued. But as Slick as they are, they ACT ONE WAY, BUT SPEAK ANOTHER. We were fooled by Bill/Hillary's lies and the U.S. looked foolish for having such a man/woman as POTUS. Now, we are faced with yet another Silver Tongued
Devil--Obama, who has the MSM wrapped around his little finger(just like Slick Willy did) and he is the Darling of the MSM, offering ALL THINGS TO ALL PEOPLE. Righttttt....DOES THIS MAN REALLY
THINK WE ARE SO STUPID AS TO BELIEVE THAT IN 20 YEARS..."HE NEVER HEAD REV.WRIGHT-THE HATEFUL, RACIST, BIGOT...GIVE THE SERMONS THAT ARE ON THE AIRWAVES/VIDEOS"? THIS IS HATE MONGERING BY ANY
PERSON'S STANDARDS, AND THEY BOTH CANNOT JUST WIPE IT AWAY, CALLING CONSERVATIVES ON ANY OCCASSION, THE USUAL NAMES THEY DO. IT IS THESE RACE BAITERS-WRIGHT, JACKSON, SHARPTON, ETC. WHO
"KEEP THEIR OWN FROM ASSIMILATING INTO U.S. AS "ONE COUNTRY", WHEN IN FACT, THEY SEEM TO HATE
AMERICA. IF WHITES SAID THESE THINGS, WE WOULD BE RUN OUT OF TOWN. WHY IS IT THAT THESE HATEFUL
PEOPLE CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS BEHAVIOR? One thing is, they make their monies doing it, and will keep the ball rolling, and the money rolling
in. How else have the likes of these so called Reverends managed to perpetuate this "down trodden attitude of the Blacks for years"? IT MAKES THEM MONEY, THAT'S HOW. OBAMA TALKS ONE WAY, AND ACTS ANOTHER....GEE AND HE IS CLAIMED TO BE THE NEW MESSIAH OF THE LAND? NO WAY-HE KNOWS HE AND HIS WIFE WERE PRIVVY TO THE HATEFUL
RANTS OF THEIR PASTOR, AND IT WAS ACCEPTABLE TO THEM, BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE IT AND ARE HIDDEN RACISTS AS WELL.

A Taste of Black Theology
Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community. . . . Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love.
James Cone

Inaccurate, sjt18
9/11 was NOT due to America's friendliness with Israel (note that AQ has made grandiose claims of "Zionist-Hindu-Crusader conspiracy"** more than once), but the hatred of "Western" (descended from forced converts--includes almost cent-percent of Arabs, Pakistanis, and Northern Indian Muslims) Muslims for all non-Muslims. Many of the Arab states were PRO-HITLER during WW2 (though only "Palestinian leader" Haj-amin Husseini actively aided him--such as by recruiting Kosovars and Bosnians for SS).

The historical relationship of US (former colony, which went independent) to UK (which managed to gain control of wide swathes of territory once ruled by Muslims, particularly the South Asian Sub-continent***) may play a major part however.

**A modified version of "Hindu-Zionist conspiracy" has been popular amongst Pakistani military since 1972 (following the trouncing they received in December 1971 at the hands of India which had NO diplomatic relations with Israel till 1992--though the county did have ONE Jewish general, who had led the first Indian troops into Hilli); no coincidence that AQ would adopt this (it was first seeded/fertilised by Pakistan's ISI during Zia's tenure) and expand it.

***In the case of the Sub-continent, the Muslims had LOST control to UNCOORDINATED local rebellions/mutinies (caused by oppression of non-Muslims by Muslim rulers) long before the British gained it.

lies and more lies...
Did Obama's "white" Grandmother rail against the United States government? Did she teach him hate of the feared "black men"? It really doesn't matter what she did, what does matter is what he believes now. Where he stands on any matter of importance to a people he says he can represent. Look at the "present" votes in his record. Has he ever stood for anything or anyone in his votes? Has he ever put his vote firmly "yes" or "no" to anything? As far as I'm concerned, I'll remember what a wise man told me when I was much younger, "When a man won't stand for something he stands for nothing."

This is Obama's Swiftboat
and he did it to himself.

If he sat in Rev. Wright's congregation for 20 years and thought all black churches promote hatred or whites and anti-Americanism, pro-terrorism and the Nation of Islam and thought it all perfectly normal, he is the LAST person to be considered for pres.

wildwest
Who’s Oblahma? Senator Obama is the Democrat running for president.

I know what you mean about that victim stuff though. There’s this Dobson guy, he’s a reverend in some phony-baloney church or something, and he claims to be the victim of homosexuals trying to break up his marriage. Then there’s this David Limbaugh fellow. He wrote a whole book about how he and other Christians are the victims of persecution. In fact, he called the book Persecution. I think it’s about how gangs of Democrats are roaming the land, burning churches and imprisoning or killing Christians.

Do you mean a bunch of republicans started a campaign to discredit him by twisting the facts? And you say he did it to himself? That makes me wonder if he isn’t a Republican plant designed to beat Clinton and then lose in the end.

Persecution takes many forms. Check out VOM.com.

So do you agree with wildwest that as long as you see yourself as a victim, you will always be a victim; or do you disagree?

I think that I see your mistake. See, Dick Durbin and Barack Obama are in fact, the Senators from Illinois. I don’t know who is alleging that someone named Oblahma is a senator, but they are wrong. You can check that out yourself on the government web site.

I like your idea about candidates resigning. I’m sure you pointed that out many times in the past regarding Republicans as well as Democrats. Could you possible provide where I could find those comments so I can study you idea better?

You know, I feel bad about someone being foisted upon you. Where I’m from, we have elections and the people get to choose.

Why is Obama Running for Pres?
Why is Barack Obama running for President?
He claims that he is uniquely qualified to “bring our country together” and that despite his lack of experience and relative youth, he has demonstrated superior “judgment”.
Obama has now acknowledged Reverend Jeremiah Wright, used incendiary language that widened the racial divide. Obama says of (his) fellow congregants that (their) anger is real; it is powerful; and that not understanding its roots, serves to widen the chasm between the races.
If Obama is really the Reconciler in Chief, why didn’t he change the hearts of Rev. Wright and his flock over the past 20 years? Everyone is asking what influence the good Reverend had on the candidate, but shouldn’t we be wondering why the very people Obama knew best, still hate America, the White Man and Israel?
With regard to the issue of judgment; Obama demeans President Bush, John McCain and the Clintons claiming that they didn’t know what was going on inside Saddam’s closed police state, (10,000 miles away) when he didn’t know what was happening in the pew right next to him.
I think that pretty well sums up the qualifications issue.

obama sunk himself,
and wright is his anchor. He refuses to cut the rode, now that his anchor is fouled, so down his ship will go.

His consolation is that he and wright can blame the great WHITE right wing conspiracy! Easier to do than taking responsibility for one's own stupidity!

Yes Allen,
I can cry foul because I don't favor Falwell, Robertson, or Coulter. Furthermore, it goes without saying that wright doesn't get a pass, at least in my book, because there are extremist on the right as well.

He is a racist, plain and simple and even if obama were not, a question I ponder, he is still naive for associating himself with one and then trying to sell himself as the great uniter.

for Allen
Allen writes: "So is blaming gays for 9/11 and Tsunamis - respected Conservatives have scoffed at these particular rants while gladly supporting these people and accepting their endorsements."

There's a big difference.

The majority defines what's acceptable. I'm sorry if that bothers you but that's how it is.

In this country, you can bash gays and get away with it. Because nobody lifts a finger to defend gays. Not even blacks. ESPECIALLY not hetero blacks.

But if a black guy like Wright starts calling for attacks on white people (who are still the majority in this country), that opens up a lot of old wounds: Malcolm X, the urban riots of the 1960s, the Black Panthers, Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, the gang violence in L.A.

The country made its decision not to accept them into the mainstream years ago.

Go ask white folks in swing states like Ohio what they think of guys like Sharpton and Farrakhan.

! also agree with DestinyBender,
If obama is the great uniter, then he should be able to win the hearts and minds of those closest to him. Say his mentor rev wright? His wife michelle? Or, maybe they are all on the same page already?

If that's the case, I am more than curious how he plans to win the hearts and minds of people on the other side of the aisle or those on the other side of the racial divide?

marxist
obama's speech sounded like another socialist give away to the NEEDY.
we have to make things fair.
level the playing field.
i am going into rehab to fix my middle class attitude in the morning. maybe we can circle and sing kumbaya (sic).
it's either that or obama's north bound box cars.

OUT, OUT, OUT! i still say he's MUSLIM, they sure think like the MUSLIMS!

obama
stevel, you know what i think of sharpton and farrahkan, not much! where is sharpton and jesse jackson now, or don't they come out when it's racist, oh, darn forgot, it's not about the blacks! sorry folks , darn how did i forget that? i thought they would be out to get us whites all rald up, and get us out to protest!

MikeR' comment on Dr Dobson
In the first place, miker, you seem to be a God hater, in that so many of your posts rail against people that profess Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour, and actually BELIEVE in something. I think you must be a personally miserable person. I pray for many of you people. I will pray that you will find it in your heart to accept Jesus as your Saviour.
