What was the biggest suprise of Election Day?

Just in time for the Christmas season, Washington State Gov. Christine Gregoire has insulted Christians all over the world. Inside the state Capitol building in Olympia there is a traditional holiday display featuring a tree and the Nativity scene; perfectly appropriate since the federal and state Christmas holiday celebrates the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.

But this year Gregoire decided to add another item to the display. Standing alongside the baby Jesus is a giant placard designed by atheists that reads: "There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds."

You read that correctly. The governor of Washington State has permitted an attack on religion to be displayed in her office building as part of a Christmas presentation.

Even the producers of "The Twilight Zone" would have rejected this script as being too far-fetched. Gregoire's behavior is offensive, insulting to all people of faith and totally incomprehensible.

Unless you know what's going on in Washington State.

Seattle now rivals San Francisco for secular-progressive nuttiness. The city fathers are allowing public nakedness in city parks and nude bike riding, and in Fremont, a Seattle suburb, they actually put up a statue honoring Vladimir Lenin, the father of communism.

Some on the Seattle school board actually supported denigrating Thanksgiving by teaching children about the atrocities against Native Americans by the Pilgrims. Continued...

FC: "Go by simple logic; if your will is surrendered to the will of Christ, how can you sin?"

You still avoid my question. Is your will PERFECTLY conformed to the will of Christ? If so, why do you go to confession? There is no logical flow in your post, unless it's this:

Jesus told a sinner not to sin.
Jesus told us to be perfect.
Therefore we are now sinless(?!). [A non sequitur.]

That's ridiculous! Try to present a logical argument based on either Scripture or your church's teachings. You can't. You know that there are many Scripture verses that teach the opposite.

"You want to make it hard or complicated because you feel guilty, or you are still a sinner."

I want to make it easy; I don't feel guilty for challenging your nonsense, and I am still a sinner. You should study some Koine: The word "perfect" is "teleios", meaning complete (in various applications of labor, growth, mental and moral character, etc.); neuter (as noun, completeness, or reach and end goal, wanting in nothing. We are complete in Christ, but not sinless.

When the writers wanted to say perfect, they used different words, as in Mt. 21:16, Lk. 6:40, Lk. 1:3, and Mt. 14:36. You're beating a dead horse.

The root of this word can be found in English as tele-, which means over a distance (telescope, telephone, television, etc.). The sense is that of reaching a distant goal.

Say, do you plan on purchasing a burial plot, or are you going to be assumed directly into heaven?

"Are you trying to tell us that we are capable of obeying the law perfectly?"

"FC: I answered you, and I discussed this once before. Christians do not sin. Why do you doubt, and raise this question again?"

You ignored the quotes from the C.E. - why? Do you pick and choose which teachings to follow? Also, you did NOT answer me - it's a yes or no question.

You still have it wrong, and your Church says so. Everytime you post this misleading assertion, I will challenge it to prevent others from thinking that it is accurate.

"Christ told the adulteress to go and sin no more."

A non sequitur - I'm sure that she did sin in some ways, as she never became the perfect sacrifice."

"Christ in the NT says be perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect."

But though you try, you are incapable of that, as we all are.
