Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

In the aftermath of the election, the press celebrated Obama’s victory with headlines trumpeting his race. “Obama Elected President as Racial Barrier Falls,” shouted the New York Times. “Barack Obama Wins Presidency … Democrat Earns Historic Victory,” blared CBSNews.com. “Barack Obama wins presidency, making history,” sobbed the Los Angeles Times. Pictures of weeping black Americans filled television screens. Black commentators explained that Obama’s victory made them feel that their children could now do anything in America.

We had our “transcendent post-racial moment.” We “proved” that we weren’t racists.

And now the race machine is cranking back up.

Apparently, electing a black man president isn’t enough to stop the race hustlers. Over the last month, those who benefit by citing Americans’ racism haven’t quit. They’ve stepped up their game. Democrat Roland Burris, Ill. Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s appointee to fill Obama’s vacated U.S. Senate seat, has charged the Democratic Senate with racism for refusing to seat him. The NAACP, meanwhile, is busy charging the Mobile (Ala.) State Trail Maids with racism for wearing old-style ball gowns at Obama’s inauguration; the dresses apparently remind the NAACP of the pre-Civil War era. In the sports world, the press is busy harping on the lack of black head coaches in major college football programs.

The press continues to have a field day with racism. “ABC News” ran a video segment entitled Confronting Racism in America, designed to highlight Americans’ underlying bigotry. “ABC News” didn’t try to find racist Americans. Instead, it hired actors to play racist Americans, then videotaped stunned onlookers. “In the face of blatant discrimination, many people seemed immobilized, some too stunned to react,” “ABC News” reported.

Racism still exists in America. But it’s restricted to a tiny group of idiots; it’s no longer a pervasive force in American life. Barack Obama’s election was supposed to prove that. Instead, Obama’s election proves only that liberals cynically use race to win elections.

Shapiro shouldn't be published, not because of any censorship or loss of his rights, but because he's a joke and an embarassment. Obviously, if he can get money for writing this drivel, then he'll keep doing it, but it hurts the cause of those who (foolishly and with a mean spirit) want to try to embarass Democrats in general or Obama in particular.

This piece is based on a clear-cut, flat-out lie, and he either knows it and doesn't care, or is so dim that he's not aware. Either way, he shouldn't be writing this stuff. I don't want to censor him, I want him to have enough self respect to quit embarassing himself or Townhall to care more about the content on the site than they clearly do.

And no barrier to anti-Semitism
And certainly no presents no barrier to anti-Semitism (which we are not "allowed" to believe is important compared to racism suffered African Americans or other groups, e.g. Muslims, for example)........
