Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

It took a couple of awkward weeks, but Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano finally issued a real apology to American military veterans. Recall in early April, at her direction, DHS issued a sloppy, politically slanted "warning" about potential domestic terrorism. Insulting language fingered "disgruntled" military veterans as potential recruits for violent (likely "right-wing") organizations.

Napolitano's taxpayer-subsidized smear warned that citizens upset by high taxes might also gravitate toward violent, armed, anti-government organizations. Of course, she shoveled the report to the press just before April 15 -- the biggest day on the Internal Revenue Service calendar.

Are domestic terrorists a cause for concern? Absolutely. Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber and a right-wing fanatic, murdered en masse. Anarchist killer Ted Kaczynski (the Unabomber) murdered via the U.S. mail. The FBI's bust last week in New York of a rather dimwitted group of wannabe political killers is the latest reminder, though their supporters (they're domestic, and they've got them) are alleging entrapment.

The U.S. military swears an oath to defend the Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic. That oath is one reason I continue to oppose the likes of violent left-wing narcissists like Bill Ayers, the Weather Underground terrorist and trust-fund baby who now hobnobs with Chicago political elites and works as a professor. Ayers deserves to do prison time for his bomb plots and conspiracies to murder innocents.

Napolitano should have waited for the publication of the Foundation for Defense of Democracy's "Homegrown Terrorists in the US and UK." Written by Daveed Gartenstein-Ross and Laura Grossman, the empirical study examines "homegrown" Islamist terrorists in the United States and United Kingdom, with terrorists defined as "homegrown" when they have "spent a significant portion of their formative years in the West, or else their radicalization bears a significant connection to the West."

The authors analyzed 117 domestic terrorists and identified six "behavioral changes" that characterize the radicalization process. Though focusing on Islamist radicals who engaged in or provided illegal support for terrorist violence, some of the changes the authors described resemble behaviors associated with violent "non-sectarian" (so-called "purely" political) radicals.

The changes are:

?1) Accepting "a legalistic interpretation of Islam." Sometimes, individuals are nurtured along in this process by mentors who create "an uncompromising religious atmosphere rooted in a legalistic understanding of the faith" with the objective of making new members "ashamed" of their perceived failure to meet the legalistic requirements. This was, in fact, one of the key factors that pushed the "Lackawanna Six" over the brink.

2) Over time, only trusting "the interpretations of a select and ideologically rigid set of religious authorities" (contrary opinions by well-educated, yet more moderate, imams are dismissed or ignored).

3) The evolving radicals "perceive an inherent schism between Islam and the West -- believing that the two are at odds, and perhaps even incapable of coexistence." The authors point to radicals who argue that "participation in democracy violates Islamic religious principles." Obligations are "to Islam alone," and a jihadist "cannot have ... duty or loyalty to a non-Muslim state." (This particular behavior is a key indicator of "later acts of violence.")

4) After internalizing "rigid interpretations of Islam" and becoming followers of hard-line clerics, the new radicals "view alternate interpretations and practices as not just incorrect theologically, but as personal affronts. In this way, any disagreement about religion may be personalized and met with a great amount of vitriol."

This change is reminiscent of "personal demonization" tactics pursued by hard-left and hard-right political groups. Chicago radical organizer Saul Alinsky in his classic "Rules for Radicals" advised radical political organizers to "pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it." The Weathermen did it. Al-Qaida would-bes do, as well.

5) Another sign of radicalization occurs "when individuals attempt to impose their religious beliefs on others." Imposition can take many forms, but psychological coercion can quickly become physical intimidation. This isn't a new insight -- violent cults often physically intimidate potential converts. Still, the action serves as an "intelligence indicator" for police monitoring radicalizing groups.

6) A key indicator of "political radicalization" is acceptance of a "jihadist political narrative" that follows this rough outline: "Western powers have conspired against Islam to subjugate it, both physically and morally. At the same time, Muslims worldwide have lost their faith and lack the strength that they possessed during Mohammad's time. The only proper response to the present situation is military action."

If this sounds like Osama bin Laden's cant, well, it is.

Islam: A Religion of Peace?
Liberals repeatedly try to assure us that if we hold hands and unilaterally accept our Islamic brethren that they will forgive us and be our brothers and sisters forever. Who are they trying to kid? That argument is far beyond thin...

Christianity is the only true "religion" of peace (Ephesians 4:30-32), and I hesitate to say "religion" because it is actually a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

The muslims of the world want nothing more than to convert us or destroy us: if you do not believe me, read the Quran... I have and I am convinced. We must face our enemy and admit that it is an idealogy that we are fighting against, one that will prey upon vulernable convicts to convert for their warfare against innocent Americans. Wake up, America. It is already in our backyards...

John
You are correct in that Islam is NOT a religion of peace. It never has been. And when a religion has the statement in it that anyone who is NOT a member of their religion is an infidel and must either convert or be killed, it can hardly be called a religion of peace. And that is a tenant of the religion of Islam. You either convert or die. That is your option.

I watch the cable channels like the history channel and the Nat Geo channel. And I watch all their programs where they examine the Christian beliefs or the cathlic religion or the jewish beliefs...and are usually very critical of Christians, even Jews...but they say almost nothing about Islam, except in passing...and if something is said, its said in a favorable light. They bend over backwards to avoid even talking about islam. I wonder why? Could it be because the followers of that PEACEFUL relgion could or would become violent if they felt the producers of any program were critical of their PEACEFUL religion. Heavens no. Say it isnt so?

islam . . .
is a "CULTURE" NOT a "RELIGION and should be treated as such. As an alien culture that despises ALL the Constitutional values of the United States, it must be banned. Accommodation (and exceptions to normally accepted civilized behavior) not granted by us are greeted with (muslim) violence. "sharia law" must be banned as well.
We can do this, just as we banned polygamy as practiced by certain Mormon sects. Of course, polygamy is still practiced, but on a much smaller scale.
People, WE ARE AT WAR with an alien culture that seeks to destroy us. The sooner we recognize this fact, the better.

Al Quiada on American soil......
YES, there are 35 known training camps/sites here in America. Yet you will not hear much about these places, their location and why they continue to exist way under the radar of the public view.

Petty bickering between the "Left Wing Nuts/Right Wing Nuts" is a great distraction that takes up a lot of print/video time and space allowing these Al Quiada groups to live among us relatively unseen.

They are certainly preparing for a jehad "holy war" against all non believers, allah and mohamad and the religion of peace.

Heavy hands and at the point of a gun may make some of the weak minded an instant believer of some, peacful you say?

The Islamic Muslims believe and practice that KILLING an infidel opens the door to paradise and assures them a place there. This is law in their system.

End of story. Are you prepaired to deal with this?

You need validation,here it is....

I encourage you to take the time to watch this video....it is not politically slanted, but rather a blunt and chilling answer to a serious question posed to Newt Gingrich. It is a clearly worded warning. This is one of the most powerful and articulate summaries of the dangers of our current situation that I have ever heard, and a mystery to me why this is not painfully aware to every American and a subject of constant discussion. It has been around almost a year and not one Presidential candidate speaks of the danger in this way.

It will take approx 5 1/2 min to view in its' entirety.

ISLAM
JOHN location MS:
That was very well stated. I have also read the Qur'an/Koran and it is very disturbing. Americans should google " qur'an " and
" sharia law " and then they will understand what you are saying. Unfortunately it seems most Americans are too busy trying to support their families to pay much attention to what is going on in this world, they get their news from Leno, Letterman, Stewart, and the like. These individuals are all multi-millionaires making fun of everything and anything, they take "freedom of Speech" to the outer limits and the peanut gallery buys it as truth.
As stated 'islam' is out to destroy us and the left-wing-demo-liberal-statists are assisting these radicals because they are radicals themselves. Every American should read:
Mark R. Levin's " LIBERTY and TYRANNY"
It is the best and most accurate breakdown of the currant status of our country and how we got here. Buy it or check it out of the library, IT IS WORTH THE READ !

How to subvert islamofascism
50 years ago we were much more religious as a nation than we are today. About two thirds went to mass. Today it is less than one third who attend mass. The terrorists motivation comes from islam. Can the same forces which caused a decline in religion in this country, subvert the islamofascists? Yes!
We need to introduce them to the idea that there might be a virgin living right next door. Send them some soft core (and later hard core) porn. Introduce alchol. At the same time introduce them to christianity, which is clearly a superoir religion. For example, how could Jesus have been a mere prophet of mohommand, when he taught the golden rule, and mohammand taught conversion by the soward? The islamofascists say we try to subvert islam. If we did, we might actually win this war. We will regognize victory when the only people imams preach to are other imams.

cyberpip1 3:22
the same thing happens in our high schools. The history books disparage Christianity and what they write about Islam is the same propaganda which islamofacist front organizations produce. They probably teach this lesson right after the white kids finish writing their letters of apology to black kids for slavery. After a generation of this, is it any wonder we get a president like Obama and a party more focused on destroying political opponents than Al Queda?

ScooterNC
This is a good link. And I agree with him. The government of the U.S. will not act on any matter except the destruction of an American city. The three top choices of cities? New York, Washington, and L.A. Frankly, it might actually HELP the U.S. if it was Washington as it would eliminate many of those who keep putting politics above all other national concerns, frighten those not there into actually doing something, and replace those who were there by people who are more interested in the country. But millions will have to die first. Sad, isn't it?

traitorbill
It became one of my hobbies many years ago to know what happens in history as to what you are told happens. The history books used in our schools are getting more and more changed to something else. When pointed out to someone (usually a teacher or school administrator), you are told that these are "errors that slipped by the editors".

Really? A local history teacher replied with what I think is the real truth to a student who pointed out an error. "This is what the government wants you to know and that is what is going to be taught. It will be on the test this way, so you'd better learn it this way."

Was is it going to take
American's We need to take control of our destiney. Our Politicans sure as hell aren't. They only care about getting their pockets full of Lobby and Special Interest Green Backs. They are suppose to be working for We The People , but instead they are calling Americans Soldiers and Veterans extremists who have put their lives in harms way to keep those fat cats in Washington rich. If we don't stop these idiots in Washington NOW, there will be no more America as we knew it.90 % of our Political leaders need to be tried for treason and taken out and shot. This is our country not theirs to do with what they please. They work for us and it is time we let them know that we as American's mean business. The real Americans out number the Liberal Idiots of this country, stand up and let your voices heard and elect men and women who care about American's and not the God Almighty Dollar.

To be a Domestic Terrorist or not to be.
Ole Janet is gonna get some lawsuits if she continues labeling Patriotic law abiding citizens as domestic terrorists.
Case in Point: the State of Missouri warned it's law enforcments that bumper stickers supporting Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin as candidates for the presidency, might be domestic terroists.
A letter composed by these three Patriotic, Constitution, prolife advocates threatened to sue the State of Missouri and they backed down.
If loving your country and wanting it to have good morals and loving real justice against such as Roe vs. Wade or the Hate Crimes Bill or the Government trying to overbear and blackmail the States into doing what the Government wants them to do regardless of right or wrong, then consider me a domestic terroist and several other million Americans.
Obama and his pals are Socialists and this is the worst administration I have ever seen in my 72 years, but thank God I didn't vote for it.
You can blame Bush or whoever you want to, but don't blame me, I voted for Chuck Baldwin a real Constitutionalist and real American Patriot.
John Quicey Adams stated what I believe: Always vote for principle though you may vote alone and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.

War on "right-wing" terror?
The Napolitano report on the supposed threat from right-wing "domestic terrorists" ought to give conservatives and libertarians pause, and not just because of the implied insult to them. On the one hand, I have no doubt that many on the Left would like to smear and discredit legitimate dissent from the Right by associating it with "terrorism". On the other hand, it's hardly inconceivable that the next big terrorist event could be another Oklahoma City rather than another 9/11.

In any case, right-wingers (of whom I am one, in my own way) should think several times before buying into the idea that "anyone the U.S. government says is a terrorist, IS a terrorist-- we don't need no stinkin' proof or due process-- and we can do anything we want, including waterboarding, indefinite detention without trial, and worse, to anyone we say is a terrorist." Fore one thing, I have this quaint notion that one of the things conservatives are supposed to "conserve" is the Constitution and Bill of Rights. For another, it should be obvious how precedents set by the Bush administration "war on terror" could come back to haunt us right-wingers if some event gives the Obama administration an excuse to wage an all-out "war on right-wing terror".

Apology ???
So the DHS issues an apology, huh? Kind of reminds me of the little boy standing in the back seat of the car and his dad told him to sit down. The boy refused. He was told again to sit down and again he refused. Finally the dad told the boy to sit down or he would get a spanking, all while the Dad was slowing down to pull over and get to the "seat" of the problem. The lttle boy said "OK, OK, I'm sitting down now". The dad drove back onto the road and continued on with the trip. After a few moments he commended the boy for his obedience. The boy then spoke up and said " I'm only sitting down on the outside. Inside, I'm still standing up."
Dont' be taken in by Napolitano's apology. That report showed the true mindset of the current administration from all lower levels to the top. She apologized on the outside because it was the politically expediant thing to do. It was the only way to turn off the heat and to keep her job. Jesus said "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh." She may have changed her rhetoric but her opinion of conservatives and true patriots has not changed. Inside, she's still standing up. to borrow an ol' southern phrase; her apology is worth about as much as a screen door on a submarine. ( Don't laugh, at least that will keep out the fish.)

Janet Napolitano
is truely a "nutbag". Another example of the Marxist Socialist agenda.

Speaking of Veterans...Colin Powell
Here is one of the funniest blogs on Colin Powell, the Dems favorite veteran and Republican turncoat. http://theblacksphere.blogspot.com/2009/05/colin-powell-pr ison-tale.html

Thoughts About Janet N.
Ugh!

Obama Administration
Should look in the mirror if they want to find domestic terrorists.

traitorbill
Virgins, soft porn, hard porn and Jesus? What have you been smoking? Where in the Bible does Jesus provide booze and women to "sell" Himself? You are so confused I wouldn't be surprised to hear soon that you have converted to Islam. If you'll get your head out of your lap perhaps you can offer a better plan.

She's got a lot more apologies to go
considering the long list of people she targeted in her definition of potential terrorists. I was in this select group and I would also like an apology. Right. Like that's ever going to happen. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying wearing my T-shirt, letting people know "I am not a terrorist."

"Believer in Liberty" (?!)
Joel De Oppresso Liber posted:
"When the time comes that Obama sends the FBI to arrest those of us that believe in Liberty, I want to be on the Most Wanted List. I want my dad to go into the post office and see a poster saying: "Joel-De Oppresso Liber wanted for defending the Constitution. $25,000,000.00 Reward-Dead or Alive." He would be so proud."

Is this the same Joel who on other comment threads has advocated the U.S. executing every ale Muslim and forcing women and children Muslims to convert on pain of death to them as well? And who has also suggested it would be a neat idea for the U.S. to conquer Mexic0o and Central America, and possibly South America as well, and force those countries into a U.S. empire? Never even mind what that would do to the "liberty" of the people living in those countries; maintaining such an empire would require a garrison state and military conscription system that would snuff out the last remnants of individual liberty here in the U.S. I thought I was in favor of "liberty" and the Constitution myself, but Joel's idea of liberty and constitutionality seems to be very different from mine.

A Couple Of Things ...
Do any od you renenber Congressman Keith Ellison? He is officially the first Muslim to be seated in the House of Representatives. He laid his hand on the Koran during his swearing in, Rather than a bible. What was unique about that Koran is that its original owner was the third POTUS, Thomas Jefferson! Mr Ellison said that Mr Jefferson was a man of great insight. Aapperently he did not know How much insight.

During the beginning years of the US, many of our commercial ships were attacked by Muslim pirates operating under the support of the ruling governingmern of Algiers, situated on the north coast of Africa. These pirates would take the ships as their own, kill most of the men and sell the women and girls as concubines, The only recourse the US had was to pay heavy tributes or face the inevitable. Jefferson decided that enough was enough! He purchased the Koran so ahat he could understand the Muslim mindset. He used this information to bring these practices to an end, using both the Naavy and the newly-formed Marines. Hence the stanza ... to the shores of Tripoly.

Anyone wanting more information about radical Islam, I suggest the following Web Sight http://www.clarionfund.org and ask for a copy of the DVD: "Obsession"

This guy seems to know who r terrorists!
