Future women leaders of America: Beware of Photoshop

Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Future women leaders of America beware: if you plan on a career in politics, don’t allow yourself to be photographed in a bikini. Especially if you’re the type of woman who speaks out against the sexualization of young girls, the media will be eager to use it against you.

That is what we learned from conservative author Michelle Malkin last week. After she wrote a column criticizing once-wholesome singer Charlotte Church for her slide into pop star hedonism, left-wing Internet blogs discovered photographs of Malkin on spring break fourteen years ago. Accompanied by headlines like “Michelle Malkin gone wild” and “Michelle, you ignorant slut,” the blogs linked to a photo-sharing page that featured Malkin cavorting with girlfriends and posing in a string bikini.

It seemed like the perfect “gotcha” moment for the liberal blogosphere. But there was a problem: the photo page wasn’t real. I know this because most of the pictures on it belong to me.

Whoever made the photo page apparently wasn’t content to insult Malkin, an Asian woman, with racial slurs – a popular activity among her critics. Instead, they aimed to expose her as a hypocrite. Using pictures stolen from various Webshots.com accounts, including mine, the creator wrote captions to imply that I had had been a classmate of Malkin’s at Oberlin College in the early 90s – and that she was anything but a moralist back then.

By the time I discovered the hoax, liberal blogs were already hard at work smearing Malkin as a “slut,” “hussy,” and “b-tch.”

I was shocked as I scrolled through posts and reader comments about my pictures, some of them photoshopped or falsely labeled as pictures of Malkin. Racist jokes and sexual denigration were common themes.

Beneath a picture of me with a close friend from high school, someone had written, “She looks so happy back then…I wonder what made her become such a bitch? Maybe her grandma never sent her a care pack of adobo and lumpia shanghai.”

When someone commented that the photo of Malkin in a skimpy bikini appeared to be photoshopped, a reader responded, “A too small head on Malkin's body doesn't mean it's Photoshopped. It just means that she has to put in the extra effort when she gives blow jobs.” The malicious posts did not appear on obscure blogs serving the political fringe. In fact, the most aggressive attacks came from a law professor at the University of North Carolina and a blog conglomerate valued at $76 million. Despite Malkin’s insistence that the photo site was an obvious forgery, the blogs continued to deride her as a hypocrite and, above all, a “skank.”

Still, I was confident that I could put an end to the hoax by coming forward as the owner of the photographs. I wrote an e-mail to Wonkette, the blog that first posted the pictures. I explained that only one picture on the page showed the real Michelle Malkin – I took it at the Conservative Political Action Conference last February, where I briefly met her. The others had been stolen from my webpage.

Three days later my letter remained unanswered, and the smear campaign against Malkin raged on. I sent a second request to Gawker, the media empire that owns Wonkette, detailing the theft of my pictures. I was optimistic that a conglomerate worth tens of millions of dollars would show some accountability toward its audience.

Two days have passed, and my inbox is still empty.

This is the brave new world of Internet media. Like many Americans, I entered it with a naïve notion of bloggers as modern-day pamphleteers, throwing the cover off stories that the establishment media won’t touch. I believed that Internet blogs, being far more democratic mediums than mainstream television networks and newspapers, would show respect for the truth.

But after visiting a few popular blogs, I realized I was sadly mistaken. At best, many zero in on political gossip and absurd non-issues, such as whether a conservative author ever posed in a swimsuit. At worst, many political blogs are cesspools of racism, misogyny, and obscenity, not to mention vicious lies.

The posts and links to my pictures are still up, and I’m no longer anticipating a response from Gawker. They are a multimillion-dollar behemoth; I’m a college kid with a claim to a few stolen photographs. They have nothing to lose by ignoring me.

However, it seems the fallout from the Malkin hoax is far from over. This morning, I received an anxious message from an Ohio State student who had just discovered the fake photo page.

She identified herself as “the girl in the bikini” and explained that Malkin’s face had been photoshopped onto her body. She asked what we could do to stop the pictures from being circulated.

The answer, unfortunately, is probably “nothing.” Gawker and its ilk appear willing to perpetuate bald-faced lies in order to advance an agenda. And they don’t mind taking a few innocent college girls along for the ride.

Kimberly: you are amazing
You are a total idiot. Your post is from so far out in left field, I'm simply amazed that you have either the:

A. chutzpah to write it

or

b. the total lack of any kind of intellectual integrity in any sense of the word.

The whole thing's exposed as a hoax, and yet you still step up to defend it. Did it ever occur to you that this is exactly, EXACTLY the reason Lefties like you have absolutely no credibility whatsoever with anyone who has an IQ higher than room temperature?

You are actually embarrassing yourself.

Kimberly
I'm sorry but from this time forward I will not be reading anymore of your postings. It is so obvious that your posts are nothing more than conditioned responses that it is painful reading them. How anyone can miss the point of Michelle Malkin's original article can only be attributed to someone who is uninterested in hearing what other people have to say and only interested in hearing him/herself talk.

Kimberly
As always, your posts are illuminating if nothing else.

"And then to whine about a random blogger's comment on the size of Malkin's head in the photo relative to blow j*bs is pathetic and rather hilarious, considering the source."

Illuminating in that one has to wonder exactly how well you did back in grade school during the reading comprehension tests...poorly, I'd guess.

I'd say "don't ever change", but I'm afraid you'd think that I mean it.

To quote a famous American, "I pity the fool."

You are too up tight about photos
Ashley - as a guy (age 63, married with four grown children) - I would just LOVE to see Michelle Malkin or perhaps you in a bathing suit.

There is just nothing lewd or offensive to me about an attractive lady in such attire.

Perhaps the people who really object to these photos are those who simply couldn not show off what they have - and unfortunately many feminazis fall into this group - as guys, we affectionately call them "ugly". They are just envious of attractive women in any attire. If Michelle wore jeans, they woudl say the jeans were too tight; these feminazis would not wear jeans because they couldn't fit into them.

But be aware of the facts - as discussed by former Clinton advisor Lanny Davis - almost all "sex scandals" backfire on the accusers. This has happened with Clinton - after Monicagate, he is more popular than ever.

Likewise, Michelle Malkin will be stronger following this "scandal", and the accusers will be justly labled as fools.

frankz is right
You AND Michelle are hotties.

I'm curious about one thing though. No one has brought up the mean spirited and racist remarks hurled at Michelle by the "tolerant, multi-cultural" crowd.

BrianR, Silicondoc
Your both right on the money!

You know, if a law were passed that prosecuted proven lier's as a capital crime. The Liberals would fall dead silent.

Kimberly
I want to thank you for having the courage to speak the truth:

If someone on the right utters an unflattering truth, the left considers it perfectly acceptable to counter with an even-more-unflattering lie about the conservative. And if an innocent person is hurt in the process, that's okay. After all, collateral damage is only evil when it is caused by the US military.

Thank you for being honest about the left's inability to be honest. If, that is, we can believe you ...

Get a lawyer
Why not go over to one of the websites run by lawyers and ask one of them to inquire sternly about their behaviour? Even large groups of lefties are averse to major lawsuits or the threat of them, and I'm sure Mike Adams would be willing to help you if they aren't.

Robert Heinlein said many years ago that it's no use appealing to someone's better nature - he may not have one. Instead, you appeal to his self-interest. It is not in their self-interest to be sued for fraud, especially if everybody knows it. (The word "hypocrite" is one of the most overused words -- save f*** and s*** in the current Leftie vocabulary).

When my kids were little, we could always get a natural grin in a photo by saying "Now, say underpants!" All this entire brouhaha is about is a lot of toddlers yelling "underpants!"

How strange

After reading the left's comments, I wonder how they could call some one else racist, bigot, etc etc.
The quoted comments are sexist, racist, misogynist, and narrowminded. But of course Michelle diserves it becuase she has the nerve to disagree or point out their faults.

Kimberly
Your defense of this kind of deceit achieves a new low for you. Get a grip girl. Lies and cruelty should be deplored wherever and for what ever reason they occur. Disagree with Miss Malkin, refute her opinions, vote against those who try to carry them into office. This whole country is behind your rights. Don't demean your idealism and your character this way.

Moonbats
Kimberly, thanks for your (idiotic) comments. It's hard for those of us on the right to explain to those in the middle what those on the left are like, but you did it perfectly.

"I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Church has been the unfortunate recipient of a similar anthrax-like powder-filled envelope as Olbermann was due to Malkin's hit piece."

Kimberly, you wouldn't be surprised to hear that Karl Rove is listening to you in the bathroom using microwaves aimed at your house from a satellite. You're a moonbat; moonbats aren't easily surprised by bizarre conspiracy theories.

Btw, FrankZ, you're 63. Pull up your pants, get off the internet and read a book; you're embarrassing your kids. Nobody cares what you think about how Michelle and Ashley "look."

Doesn't the left ever learn?
This is a duplicate of a stunt that Kerry's campaign tried in 2004 by "revealing" a memo purported to be done in 1972 (but with print-quality fonts, subscripting and superscripting); what I noted then was the media's approach--only all-too-willing to push it as real (when amateur bloggers caught on quickly; the only way that memo could have used such print quality is if the author had gone to a printing shop--somewhat unlikely for a National Guard officer to do if wanting to send the memo ASAP). It left quite a few eggs on the media's faces.

As they haven't even learned from the past (revealed by the badly-forged pictures of Malkin), they are going to get even more this time.

Kimberley, I am surprised that you would continue such bakvas--you're going down with the left-media you support!

Nothing you can do?
On the contrary, as the legal owner of the photographs in question, you can sue the blogs using them for copyright infringement. And anyone in the photos who has not signed a model waiver can sue them for illegal use of their image.

The day when most blogs were run by people out of their basements are over. Many of them are now corporate money making affairs, and as such they understand the bottom line.

Stop whining about how they won't respond to you and slap them with the liberal's favorite weapon: a lawsuit.

As for Malkin: She, like Coulter, is hated by the Left because she is a woman, a conservative, and far funnier than Al Franken. They will demonize anyone whom they perceive as their natural ally but who does not toe the party line (conservative women, conservative blacks, conservative latinos, etc...), all while decrying "the politics of personal destruction", as if they didn't invent the idea themselves.

But don't worry about Michelle. She has shown quite adequately that can take care of herself.

When you have nothing ...
make it all up.

I am a loyal Malkin reader and several times a day visitor to her web blog. The woman is very clear-minded, articulate, thorough, and can even use a bit of tongue-in-cheek approach to a story. I have never read anything from the woman that remotely resembles anything "racist". (Although her condemnation of deadly Islamic Fascism is viewed as such from the left ... and the ideologically and factually blind.) Anyhow, Michelle does NOT deserve these types of insults and assults, although she weathers them quite well, to her great credit. And kudoes to Ashley Herzog for coming forward and defending Michelle Malkin.

The left lacks truth, so they constantly "invent" it and serve it up to a less than informed general public ... many of which still think the alphabet "news" outlets (CNNCBSABCNBC) are the beacons of fact and truth. Little does the general public know, or when faced with evidence, believe the spinning and manipulation and weaving and cherry picking those so-called news outlets do when serving up their daily broadcasts. The public just assumes they are being told the whole story, sans personal opinion by the anchor delivering it or the staff and management behind him/her. No, the alphabet bunch have to swear up one side and down the other they are unbiased, fair, and correct ... However, seem to be completely outraged at one cable channel (Fox News Channel) who doesn't deliver news or coverage the way the alphabets do (in a mind-numbing, brainwashing, take-for-granted kind of manner)... And, BTW, are stomping the competition in the ratings. But no, Fox is a mouth piece for Karl Rove and "The White House".

So, what recourse does the unhinged Left have? Ridicule, forge, fake (BTW, the infamous CBS "documents" were fakes. To be called forged that would mean there were originals in the first place ... which there were not.), insult, and demean. It's all they have. When you believe in nothing, you have nothing to back you up. So, they have to go after the beliefs and convictions of the opposition. Pathetic.

Quote
Quoting Kimberly

"What Malkin does is demean anyone who is different from herself and her ideology - and she does it in a very public arena, a large and often mean audience, without a thought regarding those she ridicules.""

Substitite Moore, Franken, Dean or Malkin and change the gender references and see what the mirror reveals.

Kimberly
I simply could not believe anyone could be so stupid as to post a response like yours. But, then I remembered you're one of the looney left and while it doesn't excuse your stupidity it does explain it.

I believe to my heart and soul that open forums like this where looney left can come in and post is one of the best venues of exposing the emptiness of the brain in a left looney. While it is painful to read such empty cr.p, it does keep the stink you put out fresh enough to remind people of the real difference between the left and the right.

phantom
The post by Kimberly is so stunningly obtuse and devoid of any integrity or intellectual fiber, I wonder if it's just a ruse to "rattle conservative cages" with a stereotyped liberal view. The post is not worthy of much comment. If Kimberly exists as a real person expressing heartfelt opinions, then she deserves our pity and prayers. If she represents others of like mind (oxymoron perhaps) the opposition is farther removed from reality than I could have dared imagine. If it's a bogus "baiting" of conservatives, trying to foment like-minded responses to those of Kos, then conservatives should take care and not respond in kind, which is what plays into the hands of really nasty people. It's an old tactic of mean-spirited people who want to bring down any legitimate discussion to gutter level: "Yeah, you hypocrite, you're no better than me."

I feel slimed even talking about it. I have to grade some papers. TH faithful, watch your backsides.

kimberly
So you and the left had a great laugh over the racist, vulgar, sexual comments the pictures illicited. You reveal yourself.

Ashlee
IANAL but I would think those photos are implicitly copyrighted and they have been used without your permission or attribution for commercial use. I would definitely consult a lawyer and I would think Michelle, or Mike Adams (on this site) would be able to put you in touch with one.

Michelle is not the injured party because she is a public figure. YOU and the other Ohio girl are the injured parties because you are not, (or maybe you weren't public figures). Can't hurt to check into it.

Finally, blogging is exposed
for what it really can be: Journalism without the education and (supposed) ethics behind it.

Ms. Herzog is right about one thing: Bloggers are like pamphleteers, churning out their sometimes unsubstantiated opinions and facts as if they were universal truths. I've stayed away from them because in my experience very few people (myself generally included) have the time or the inclination to really delve into a subject and see what drives the story behind the story. It's much easier to just grab something else that someone else wrote, then post it and comment on it, whether it be true or not.

Once again...
...the tolerant left exposes itself for what it is. They are the first to stoop to racial slurs, to misognistic language, and foul language when they have an opportunity.

And the liberal politicians cannot duck this issue, since they are the ones pandering to the kook fringe. They are the ones that listen to DailyKos, MoveOn, and the like as if they were the Oracle of Delphi. The acknowledgment of these kooks, and giving them a seatat the Democrat party table puts their actions squarely at the feet of the Dems themselves.

questions
the infamous CBS "documents" were fakes - remember the defense? " . . . but the essence of the story was true". And expected the public to eat that up with a spoon.

Posters - could Kimberly be a well meaning "plant" by townhall of some kind to get some contraversy going or maybe a kid or preteen? No body NOBODY in their right mind would actually write such stuff.

Radical Muslims get violent over words and cartoons about radical Muslims responding violently to words and cartoons.

Kimberly responds with vitriolic hatred, lies, bigoted, misogynist remarks when the left is accused of responding to criticism with vitriolic hatred, lies, bigoted remarks . . .

is this some kind of group-think? a virus? an alergy? reaction to medication? emotional retardation? would it respond to medication? lots of water supplies contain floride to prevent cavaties . . .it's more sad and stupid than anything else.

vineyard1
I did not mean to imply that any TH supporter planted Kimberly's post. I think that it more resembles a tactic of the left.

Don't Mind The Fundies, Kimberly...
They're just full of hate and spite. Their rude comments towards you only prove what you've written to be true. And all hypocrites cry when the light of truth is shone upon them.

Malkin is exposed as one of the worst among them and instead of taking the moral high ground, like they love to claim everytime, they attack those that expose them.

Don't worry, it's transparent to anyone "with an IQ above room temperature."

Sad
This is a sad attack by people that have no soul. If Kimberly is the person responsible for this then she should have her day in court for her SINS! You attack Coulter and Limbaugh, for their message of hate! You are in no position to attack anyone after what you did. You should be a sham of yourself.

Just Maybe
If everyone ignores Kimberly she will go away. I know I never read any of her rambling posts she is an idiot.

Profblog
No, I didn't think you did. But I wonder about it. Kimberly's posts come across as having childish, imitative insincere or posturing qualities that make me wonder if maybe she isn't really a left-y at all, just someone playing the part to try to yank a chain or two, or to be irritating, to garner any response at all. There's seldom much thought or 'meat' to them, just wild throws and unguided spouting without many real ideas, or content on the issue at hand.

vineyard1
Ok. I'm not familiar enough with some of the names that crop up often and have no history to analyze regarding "kimberly." I was just noticing the increasingly shrill denunciations and wondered if we were "straining at gnats and swallowing camels." (Matt. 23)

Truth and liberals.
Now there's an oxymoron!

Liberals have never had any connection to the truth, never will.

I'm just waiting for them to start photoshopping Ronald Reagan's principles onto Hillary Clinton.

Wit for it it will happen.

Chimpy
Could you provide some concrete examples of Michelle Malkin's hypocrisy please? If what you say is true, I'd like an opportunity to change my opinion of her. To do that, I need specifics.

Thank you.

Lies and the Lying Liars Who tell them.
The only people who believe anything these idiot Liberals say are the one's who spend all day smoking pot.

Lydia
You are so right. Ignore them. It is what Ann Coulter does when the lesbian name calling starts. And it always starts. You know liberals can't argue issues so they call ugly names and throw food. So adult of them.

Kimberly once again
swoop, splat, flap, flap, flap...

LOL - some funny stuff here
Cat trapper: ROFLMAO So true. Another Kim-load of guano on the sidewalk to be cleaned up.

Justpaul: "and far funnier than Al Franken". Heck, oral surgery without anesthetic is funnier than Franken.

Chimpy (quoting me): "with an IQ above room temperature." Evidently, chimp, you found your niche on the Bell curve. Look (appropriately) to the left and down on the chart.

God, I love being conservative. We have the better-looking babes, and the funnier posters.

Tempest In A Teapot
While surveying the wilds of far northern Idaho, we would occasionally discover a hornets nest - much to our discomfiture. At quiting time, we would run the three or four miles back to the truck, and "bombard" each hornets nest along the way with rocks or cudgels to avenge previous "wrongs." A rather juvenile endeavor, but eminently satisfying watching the outraged hornets swarming out in vain search of a rapidly receding guerrila attack.

It is very similar to both the doctored image on Wonkette "Politics For People With Dirty Minds" as well as Kimberly's post here.

Kimberly's post can be logically addressed through detailed, documented refutation - a lengthy, tedious exercise usually ineffective with the left. Instead, her post aroused a swarm of name calling and insult worthy of the radical left blogs.

Come on, folks. Get a sense of humor and drop the insults.

BTW - Ms Herzog is right to complain - and even sue - tossing a couple of rocks into THEIR hornets nest. All in all, however, methinks this is but a tempest in a teapot.

NRAlifer - LOL
"...facts and logic merely confuse them.'

You got it, kid. But they are not "stupid," though that could be debated at length. I have met many who are pretty darned bright. But, as Reagan said, "It's not that our liberal friends are ignorant, it's just that they know so much that isn't so."

The point of my post, mostly, is that it is pretty much futile to even bother responding to them.

"The liberal sewer is backing up." Rush Limbaugh

Lawsuit Time!
You hold copyright to the original photos. You also hold derivative work rights to any replications of those photos. Your photos are covered by the 1976 Copyright Act -- and that nice big fat corporate blog that hosted photoshopped versions of YOUR photos are now in big BIG trouble -- if you want them to be.

Since you are in college and presumably have fees and costs while not a lot of income, you should get a lawyer willing to take these turkeys on for a percentage (typically 1/3) of whatever can be squeezed out of them. A lawyer who can threaten to have a judge knock them off the net with an injunction should get their attention right quickly.

Chimp(y)
Do you call '"By the time I discovered the hoax, liberal blogs were already hard at work smearing Malkin as a “s1ut,” “hussy,” and “b-tch.”

the moral high ground?

Liberals / The Left
A very wise radio man out of Pittsburgh has stated it extremely well:

"Liberals (the Left) stand on their heads and accuse the rest of the world of being upside down." Jim Quinn warroom.com

Yup ...

The thing
that bothers me is you can't make them admit they are wrong about any thing at all. By the time these pictures are around the net for a while, liberals "in the know", will be absolutely sure they are real. Just like every other blame the conservative smear, their truth is set in stone and our defence is just the pitiful uninformed brainwashed masses repeating what Donald Rumsfeld told us to think.

Who deleted Kimberly's post
So the rest of us latecomers no longer know what you are talking about?

All In All
Townhall is pretty good. I give it a C-

It is slow, clunky, and yes, Kitty Girl, they have a VERY annoying problem with deleting posts.

Michelle Malkin
She was simply doing what women her age at the time were doing.

Kitty

Some one photoshoped michelles face on another woman's body and the libs thought it was real and if not it still didn't matter.

Libs had used all sorts of obscene language to describe MM.

BTW
Michelle Malkin has an added note to Ms. Herzog's article in a message by Meredith Chan, the REAL college girl in the chop-shopped pictures.

http://michellemalkin.com/

Michelle Malkin - too hot?
Lets pretend that Michelle had worn a bikini to the beach. So what? I haven't seen the pics. Was she drunk and exposing herself? Or just wearing a bikini? Are conservative's suppose to wear 1 piece swimwear?

I think that the crazy, ugly, femi-nazi libs that hate Michelle for her blog, also hate her because she is very attractive.

My advise to Ashley and the real girl in the pics, Sue! Sue! Sue! Then after the huge payday in court, or out-of-court settlement, you can all fly to Cancun, wear bikini's on the beach and laugh about the whole thing!

Typical of the Loonies of the left
Some of you don't seem to realize the photos are faked(Frankz, dbz77). How low can a lefty sink into hypocrisy? Find the lowest pile of guano on earth and look under it. As usual they base everything on lies and fakery Rueters style. Environmental myths to journalists' activities all faked.

I just found the pic! That's a big deal?
I just found the pic! That's a big deal? Man, the libs are sure grabbing at straws! You would think with all the hoopla that she would have been wearing a skimpy thong bikini or half-naked photos. This was just a normal 2 piece bikini. Big deal!

The high ground, and better babes!
I second the "it's great to be a conservative!" observation. All this, and the better looking pundits as well.

Ms. Herzog & Ms. Malkin: I know it is difficult to ingnore such tripe, but rest assured, those spewing it are doubly infuriated by not only your brains, but your looks as well.

Imagine our chagrin if the women on our side looked like theirs. Her thighness, Hitlery, Bela Pelosi, or Madeleine Half Bright. (Anybody seem Maddy lately? Geez, lie down and close the lid, will ya?)

Consensus
I think we've all reached agreement. It's only a sin for liberal to wear a bikini.

Ever seen "Sorority Boys". The Dogs...

Deleted post
I believe that when a post builds up a number of "Flag as Offensive" clicks, it gets evaluated and possibly removed. Apparently they considered Kim's post offensive. I wish they had left it, because I would have liked to have read it also.

As for the article, it's amazing to me how people hold on to their version of the truth, even when they are proven, beyond any reasonable doubt to be wrong. Even were the photo to have been proven to be accurate, I didn't see what the uproar would have been about. It's as if we, having espoused a moral compass, are not allowed even the slightest bit of fun, or even a single moral slip up. In this case, in my opinion, posing in a bikini would not have been any kind of moral issue or hypocrisy. It certainly wouldn't take away from the truth of the transformation that she reported Church undertook.

Ashley
Tell Ms. Chan to demand a royalty in writing, make up some large number like $100/day retroactive, and see for yourself how quickly the photos come down.

drillanwr
Thanks for posting the link.

jander:
I'm with you! Even though it's a bad Fake you would think the girl was wearing nothing but pasties the way the Liberals were carrying on.

And like NEConservative says "they base everything on lies and fakery." It's no wonder they flock to this sort of trash.

A Google image search brings up more altered photos.

No jerubaal....they need to Sue!
I have 2 words for you - punitive damage. This deception was obvious done with the intended purpose of damaging Michelle Malkins personally. She and Ms Chan can sue. They can sue the blog and the person who made the forgery! Why play nice? The libs don't! Hit them where it counts, in the bank account!

Gotta agree
Evidently Kimberly's drive-by post was deleted, and I think it's a crying shame. It's much more fun to watch the Lefty Loonies make idiots of themselves, then join in and bash them to pieces.

It becomes very moot when late-joiners can't see what's really going on. Then all our comments have no more context.

C'mon, guys, let's not flag these things!

Real Standards of Decency
Everyone please take a deep breath and re-evaluate what passes for being within the acceptable range of behavior in contemporary America. There's nothing necessarily wrong with looking good in a bathing suit, and there's nothing particularly unusual about college girls getting-drunk-while-wearing-bathing suits. Just like there's nothing surprising about "bachelor" congressmen making inappropriate drunken passes at male pages. One might not like any of the above, but let no one pretend to be shocked.

And another thing. . .
I am very angry about the pinoy-hating tone of all the anti-Malkin propaganda. Michelle Malkin is not the only Philipina in the world, and the racist slander thrown in her direction is thrown rather carelessly, just like the antisemitic attacks on Joe Lieberman and George Allen, and the ant-black racism directed at Sec. Rice, Justice Thomas, etc., etc., etc. This isn't just unacceptable political behavior. It is unacceptable behavior, period. Americans must not tolerate this is any context.

Charles
It's not MM in a bikini that bothers. It's the thoroughly ugly postings and innuendo that goes with. By today's standards, if indeed we can say today has ANY standards, that bikini is conservative. The captions to the photos are just mean and designed to hurt.

BrianR
Just got back myself and see that Kimberly's post is gone. Bummer! I hope it's not one of us "flagging." As much as I hate Liberals they have the right to their opinion and should not be censored by Townhall.

What's the fuss ?
Let them make fools of themselves the pics I saw where of a cute girl in a rather revealing but still OK two piece . Easy to see the chop job she's prettier when all the body parts are the right size in other words saw her sexier in stuff she really did . The lies are stupid and things they say ought to be OK . P.S. have you seen the youtube send up now thats cute.

What the ladies can do. . .
Ms. Herzog,
You are incorrect in saying that the ladies disgraced by these multimillion dollar companies. They, and possible you, have the option of legal action ranging from copyright infringements to out right libel. Maybe it is time we use the greedy trial laweyers to punish the anti-American leftist.

How liberal are liberals?
Woman who wears bikini is a wh*re? Hey - this reasoning works for the Iranians so why not the American liberals too? Purleez. That kind of puritanical judgement would put the Pilgrim Fathers to shame.

Wonkette puts the fake picture in front of a Japanese internment camp? Cos Fillipinos are, like, Asian and so are Japanese people too. The racism revealed in this incident is foul - so much for 'multi-culturalism'.

MM's original diatribe on Charlotte Church may have been catty but this kind of spite is another level of hate.
Nasty racism and misogyny are so 'progressive', after all.
